The Perfect Time
"Oh, Kal, would you stop over thinking? My mother said it was just fine for me to bring you to the island. I want you to finally meet her and show you how I grew up."
Kal sighed and laughed nervously. "I know but...I'm meeting your mom for the first time. It's um..."
Complicated.
Usually when someone takes another to meet their family, they're dating, which Kal and Diana were not. Although, they did have obvious feelings for each other and unconsciously acted upon them from time to time.
Diana smiled and flew closer then under him. Kal looked down at her now face to face. Diana reached up and cupped his cheek.
"Really. It's going to be fine. There's no need to feel like you have to act a certain way. Relax and be yourself."
He sighed and smiled. "Ok."
As they approached Themyscira, Kal's eyes went wide.
"Wow!"
Diana giggled. "It's not what you expected?"
"It is but also so much more." He was awestricken.
"There is so much for you to see," she grinned.
As they landed on the shore, Kal gulped.
"Diana, my daughter!" Hippolyta greeted happily.
Diana smiled and embraced her. "Hello, Mother."
"I missed you. I'm so glad you are home."
"I am too."
Pulling away, Hippolyta looked over Diana's shoulder.
"And you must be Kal-El of Krypton?"
"Oh, uhh...yes..yes ma'am...I mean...your highness," he said nervously and bowed.
"A respectable gentleman as you mentioned, Diana."
Diana nodded. "Kal, I will show you to your chambers for the night, we will change and then have lunch to meet my sisters."
"Oh...oh ok. Sounds great!"
As they walked behind Hippolyta, Diana latched onto his arm.
"Relax," she whispered as low as she could that only he could hear.
He sighed and nodded.
As they walked through the temple, Kal was yet again amazed. The Amazonian guards bowed as they walked through the hall.
They approached 2 large white doors, trimmed in gold.
"This is where you will be for the night. I believe it will be very much to your liking."
The guards opened the doors.
The room was breathtaking.
"This is really nice, Di."
Diana glanced back to see Hippolyta occupied speaking with the guards.
"Everything you need is already here."
"Thanks, Diana."
She stepped closer to him and kissed his cheek, letting her lips linger closer to the corner of his mouth.
"I'm glad you are here," she whispered.
He cupped her cheek and smiled. "I'm glad you invited me."
"See you in an hour, Kal."
He nodded slightly not able to take his eyes off Diana as she walked out the room and closed the door.
Kal sighed and sat on the bed. He then realized laying there was an over the shoulder toga with a side medallion.
He smiled. "So this is what she meant by getting changed," he said to himself.
It truly meant so much to him for Diana to trust him, be so open and comfortable with him. Diana was very special to him and he would never take her for granted.
Diana's Chambers
Diana looked at herself in the mirror wearing a high/low turquoise toga dress. One shoulder strap with gold trim, O-ring detail, keyhole opening on bodice, gold triple strapped belt with O-ring detail, lace up back and draped turquoise front panel.
"You look stunning, Diana."
"Thank you, Mother."
"He really is special to you. When you described him before and the way you described him, I can see it in your eyes. He also exceeded my expectations."
Diana nodded. "He is an honest honorable man. I'm glad that you approve of him. But being...more than what we are...I don't know."
"And what are you?"
"It's a bit complicated to exactly describe."
"Diana, you have grown into a wise young woman. I expect that you will make wise decisions."
"Yes, Mother."
An hour later...
Kal was laying on the bed reading a book he found filled with Ancient Greek poetry.
Knock. Knock.
"Kal, it's me."
He quickly got up to open the doors and was taken aback by Diana.
"Wow...you look beautiful."
"Thank you. And you look quite handsome. Are you comfortable?"
"Yeah, definitely."
"Good." She smiled.
He did look quite dashing in his toga. Such a godly physique.
"Come on. Mother and my sisters are waiting for us."
Kal walked out the room and closed the doors.
"I was reading a book full of poetry. It's amazing."
"Oh, just wait until you see our library. As a child, if I wasn't getting into trouble..."
"You?!" Kal questioned pretending to be shocked.
Diana giggled hitting his arm.
"Adventurous and curious. I spent time in the library too or the arts temple with Mother sculpting or painting."
"Could I see some of your work?"
Diana blushed and nodded. "Of course."
Diana and Kal then entered another temple with long large tables filled with food and the Amazons loudly socializing already.
"Wow..."
"You've been saying that a lot since we got here."
Kal chuckled and rub the back of his head. "I'm amazed."
"Diana. Kal-El," Hippolyta called.
Suddenly the Amazons lowered to mumbles focusing on Kal.
"Sisters! Our Princess is accompanied with a guest, Kal-El of Krypton."
"Um...hi, hello. It's an honor to be here, finally meet Diana's family."
There was a bit of an awkward silence, Amazons still staring, as Diana and Kal walked to the front of the main center table and sat to the right of Hippolyta.
"So you are the mate of the Princess?" An older Amazon, Renae, asked.
Kal and Diana glanced at each other then Kal cleared his throat.
"Uh...um...Diana and I are work partners," he said nervously.
"Though, you are quite smitten?"
"I-"
"You are not a man from this world at all?" another Amazon asked.
"No, I'm-"
"What is your world like?"
"It's-"
"Are you a god?"
"No."
"Do you think women are below men?"
"No, not at all."
"Who trained you?"
The Amazons were bombarding Kal with so many questions. Though, he seemed to be able to hold his on a little bit. Diana looked at Hippolyta, both slightly amused and impressed.
After a short while, the awkward tension seemed to simmer down.
Diana couldn't stop smiling as she watched Kal interacting with her sisters. She wasn't surprised how they embraced him so quickly.
Kal had been the one that made her open to be more trusting. He was the one that was able to break down that barrier she created around her heart.
"Kal?"
"Yeah, Di."
She giggled. "Let's go. You will be stuck here for the rest of the day."
He laughed as they both stood up.
"Mother, we will go to the library now."
Hippolyta nodded slightly.
Diana latched onto Kal's arm as they walked out of the temple.
"That went way better than I expected."
"My sisters are hospitable. Though, they will ask many of questions as they did."
"I just didn't want to say the wrong thing or whatever I said was taken wrong."
Diana shook her head. "No. Nothing like that was going to happen."
As they entered the library, Kal was yet again awestricken.
"Tell me you didn't read all of these...?"
"Of course I did."
"That's amazing."
Diana looked down. "Although I enjoyed spending time reading and everything...there was also a lot of expectations. I didn't have much of a choice, especially with the Amazons my age at that time, weren't so social with me."
Kal frowned. "Diana?"
She shook her head snapping herself out of her daze and looked up at him.
"I'm sorry. I was just thinking back."
"I don't want you thinking back on anything thing that makes you feel bad."
"I'm okay."
Kal wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into an embrace. Diana embraced him back.
"You're always so protective of me."
"Of course and I won't apologize for it."
"I know." She snuggled her face more into his chest, loving the warm feel of him. "I don't expect you to."
They stayed like that for a minute longer and then slowly pulling away, staring in each other's eyes.
Diana then looked off to the side blushing.
"Next is the artistry temple."
Kal smiled and nodded. "Ok."
Diana bit her lip and took his hand.
They walked out the library.
"Princess."
Diana smiled. "Hi, Marian. Kal-El, she one of the elders that helped with my studies."
"Oh, hello, very honored to meet you."
"My...are you a descendent of Hercules?"
"No, ma'am...?"
"The power of a God, yet the gentlest of auras. We shall trust that our Princess is safe with you?"
"Of course. You have my word."
She slightly nodded approvingly. "Carry on, young children."
Diana embraced Marian before walking away.
"This is the artistry temple."
There were gorgeous sculptures and paintings everywhere.
"And here is my first sculpture."
"A horse. That's beautiful, Diana."
"Of course it was not as detailed or professional as my next few."
"Is this yours?" Kal asked picking up a painting of the sunset.
Diana nodded. "I loved watching the sunset from my balcony."
"The sunset is always a beautiful view. Though, there is one view much better."
Diana tilted her head and frowned confused. "Oh and what's that?"
He smirked staring at her.
She frowned even more still pondering.
"Kal, wha-" she then started blushed and laughed softly. "Why are you like this?"
He laughed. "Like what?" He asked innocently taking her hand and kissed the back of it.
Diana bit her lip. "Two more spots for the day."
They left the artistry temple and went to the weaponry.
"Should I be in here?" Kal questioned.
"You think someone will attack you?"
"I'm just being cautious."
Diana shook her head and rolled her eyes. "You do remember you have super hearing and super speed right?"
"Right...but me against over a dozen or more of highly trained, strategic Amazons? I don't know. I'm barely a match for the Princess."
"I'll train you any time, Spaceman." Diana looked over at the bo staffs. "As a matter of fact..." She grabbed two. "Follow me."
Diana flew off with Kal right by her side. He didn't even ask. He didn't have nor wanted to. He would follow Diana anywhere without question.
They soon approached a secluded area. The sunlight lit through the trees and a light breeze passed through the quiet little forest that was situated yards away from the temples.
"When I was learning how to control my powers, I would come here to practice on my own. Soon it just became a place to be alone for hours. I didn't want anyone to find me."
"But they know now?"
"No. Most of my sisters will still only go so far. Really just to the waterfall."
"Your mother never knew you were all the way out here?"
"Of course. I couldn't lie to her. Even if I tried and did, she would've found out eventually. But she didn't question. She understood and let me have my time and space."
They flew down to a small opening.
"Here you will have your first brief lesson."
"Wasting no time."
"You know me. Of course I don't. Now, pay attention. I'll strike, you block."
Kal grinned and bowed. "Yes, Princess."
Diana lunged at him.
"You know...For the passed couple of days...my insides...had been turning cartwheels."
Diana frowned. "Why?"
"I didn't realize how nervous I was about today. I know you told me a thousand times it was going to be alright but I still just wanted to make sure I said and did right."
"Kal."
"I just want your mother and sisters to know that they can trust me."
"They do. When I've came here on my own, I've told them about some of my adventures in man's world. Everyone I have met. I've talked about you most of all. My mother in her way of expressing she trusts and accepts you because I trust and love you. And-"
"Wait...what did you say?"
Realizing what she said, Diana gasped.
Just then, it was as if time stopped. They stared at each other.
"Diana..."
She shook her head, dropping her staff and was about to walk away.
"Di, wait. Don't."
"We should-"
"No. Wait."
Kal grabbed her arm and stepped back. It happened so fast, not realizing he stepped and trip over a rock. He started falling backwards with Diana falling forward, landing on the ground.
Kal quickly moved his hands to her hips, holding her down as she was straddling him and Diana had her hands on either side of his head still leaning forward, their faces centimeters apart.
"We somehow always manage to end up like this," Kal joked trying to ease the awkward tension.
He reach up with his right hand cupping the back of her neck, tangling his fingers within her hair, capturing her lips in a soft kiss. To both Diana and Kal, it felt like they were flowing in the wind as their kiss sent shivers through their bodies.
Diana broke the kiss, pulling away to look into his eyes.
She had dreamed of this moment but never would've thought it would begin with such an unexpected awkward confession of her feelings. She has showed him but actually telling him was an obstacle.
Kal was better with words, taking every opportunity to compliment her and flirt. Though, he wasn't like any other man who tried so hard to smooth talk their way. Kal was a respectful gentleman. He always knew the right things to say, gave her comfort when she needed and took the time to truly get to know her.
"Kal, I..."
"I know. We don't have to talk. Not now. Just..."
Diana leaned back down, kissing him again. As the kiss started to get more intense, their tongues danced with one another causing moans to emanate from their chests. They couldn't stop. Didn't want to.
There was no sound except their heavy breathing as they kissed. Diana could feel something hard pressing against her causing her to instinctively start to rub against him. Kal groaned and slowly moved his hands to cup her rear.
Kal then rolled them over so that Diana was the one under him. He slid his hand up her outer thigh. They finally broke apart for air and Kal began trailing kisses to Diana's cheek, then jaw, then down her throat. When he reached her neck, he began sucking on the junction between the neck and shoulder, which automatically made Diana moan.
Kal raised his head staring into her eyes. He raised up her dress a bit more and pulled her thong down slowly, then his briefs, discarding them carelessly on the ground. Diana nodded giving him permission to continue.
He pushed into her slowly, groaning and ground his hips into hers, rocking steadily. Diana gasped and cried out with pleasure with her eyes fluttering shut, adjusting to him. She wrapped her legs around his waist holding him closer, matching his pace easily. Kal thrust in and out of her heated body. He wanted to bury himself to the hilt.
Diana rolled them over and began riding Kal with uncontrollable desire. Her only thoughts were of him and their lovemaking and how much she wanted it. She cared about nothing else for the time being. Kal gripped her hips firmly, helping her with her movements. Diana's nails dug into his chest. They both climbed higher and higher together as their movements sped up.
Kal sat up, wrapping his arms around her waist and captured her lips in a passionate kiss. Diana moaned in his mouth as pleasure spread throughout her whole body. She broke their kiss and threw her head back. So this was what lovemaking felt like…
Kal felt her begin to shake. He held her tighter thrusting deeper into her, hitting new sweet spots. Diana arched her back and clenched her fists in his hair. Kal thrust himself even harder into her than before, and Diana moaned incoherently as he licked her throat.
Her walls clenched around him and she literally screamed as her orgasm washed over her, pleasuring every nerve in her body.
Just the sound of her release made Kal's body go rigid and he released into her with a grunt.
Completely spent and satisfied, they held each other tightly. Diana pulled him in for a kiss and he gladly obliged. He then rested his head against her collarbone and she kissed his forehead resting her cheek against it.
They sat in silence for a moment longer.
"We have to get back before your mother wonders where we are," he whispered.
"Yes..." she whispered back still a bit breathless.
Neither knew what else to say as they reluctantly let go of each other.
The shore
"Queen Hippolyta? The Princess and her companion have been gone for hours."
"If she were to have left, she would've said so."
"Said what, Mother?" Diana asked as she and Kal flew down.
"Oh, well it's very late."
"Apologies. Training lessons with Kal using the staffs. Lost track of time."
Hippolyta slightly nodded though she still took notice of their slightly odd behavior.
"Would you like me to take those back for you, Princess?"
"Oh, um.. yes. Thank you, Sibela."
Sibela bowed and took the staffs.
"Well it is time to turn in for the night," Hippolyta said.
"Yes. We have a long day set for tomorrow."
Hippolyta raised her brow. "Is everything alright?"
"Oh yes, of course, Mother." Diana glanced at Kal.
"I guess Diana and I did tire ourselves out more than we thought," Kal laughed nervously.
Hippolyta narrowed her eyes then turned to walk to the temples. She knew there was something wrong and she was going to find out.
Diana closed the door behind her as she walked into the guest room with Kal.
"Would you like for a guard to wake you?"
"I'll probably be up just before dawn."
"Right." She stepped closer and gave him a quick kiss.
As she was about to walk away.
"Hey..." Kal said grabbing her hand.
Diana turned back to him. Kal pulled her closer and caressed her cheek. He kissed her slowly and softly, making her want to melt in his arms.
"Good night, Diana."
She smiled. "Good night, Kal."
He smirked watching her walk out of the room.
Diana couldn't stop smiling as she walked to her room.
Closing her door, she sighed lovingly and leaned against it, closing her eyes.
"So more did occur while you two were away?"
Diana jumped slightly as her eyes shot open. "Mother?!"
Hippolyta raised her brow.
Diana sighed. "Being able to let him into our home, show him our ways...we connected more. More than we expected."
"A more intimate connection?"
Diana heart skipped a beat as flashes of what happened in the forest replayed in her mind.
"In...a way. Yes."
"Diana, you need to be careful. Have you forgotten so quickly what I told you before?"
"No, I haven't. That's the difference with Kal. He opened up to me...took me to where he grew up. That was 2 years ago. I knew more of him than he knew of me. He trusts me and has earned my trust." Diana smiled. "He is genuine and makes me feel something I never have. Living in man's world for 6 years, I've experienced and learned so much already and there's so much more. This experience with Kal, I cherish the most."
Hippolyta nodded. "I understand."
Kal paced back and forth in his room letting what occurred in the forest really sink in.
He and Diana has had very tempting moments, but they never allowed themselves to give in completely. So why did they, this time?
"I love you."
Those three simple words replayed in his mind. It was like he felt a rush at that moment. For months, whether it was by his actions and slight gestures or words, he wanted Diana to know how he felt. He admitted that he loved her but at that time, it was presumed to be platonic love, although they both knew it was indeed so much deeper.
It was assured no one could see them, they were having a difficult time keeping their composure in front of Hippolyta. The Queen all too easily picked up on their slightly uneasiness. In no way would he ever want to come across to Hippolyta as taking advantage of Diana. He has the utmost respect for her.
They surely didn't have any regrets though they needed time to have a serious conversation about how they should move forward together.
The next morning...
Before Diana knocked on Kal's door, it swung open and Kal stood there staring her with a grin.
"Good morning, Di."
She smiled brightly. "Good morning, Kal."
With a quick peck on the lips, they embraced.
"I had a thought last night. Once we get back...we can have time to really talk alone?"
"Yeah, I was thinking the same." Kal caressed her cheek. "You look gorgeous, Di."
"Thank you."
She was wearing a cream color toga dress with a low V-neckline, halter straps, half sleeves with open panels, a gold collar, a gold waist panel, open side panels, and a short draping skirt.
"So what are we doing today?"
"The stables and there is one more special place of mine."
Kal smiled as Diana took his hand pulling him so they could get going.
As Kal and Diana were leaving, Hippolyta was on her way to the artistry temple.
"Good Morning, Mother."
"Good Morning, Your Highness."
She smiled and nodded slightly. "Good Morning, Diana, Kal-El. Where are you headed?"
"The stables."
"Ah. Anaximandro will be very delighted to see you, Diana. It's been quite a while."
"Yes, I know! And I'm just as delighted!"
Hippolyta couldn't help but smile. The look on Diana's face, so full of joy reminded her so much of when Diana was younger.
"Well I will let you two be on your way."
"We will be back before noon."
Hippolyta slightly nodded walking away.
Kal frowned slightly confused. "Who is Anaximandro?"
"You will see."
Diana took his hand guiding him down to a field. He keened in on the sound of horses trotting along.
"Wow..."
"We have the most majestic breeds of horses."
She took him into the stables.
"Aristoteles, the Akhal-teke riding horse breed. Also known as the "Golden Horses" because of their shiny, almost metallic coats. Tales, the Andalusian. Also known as a "Pure Spanish Horse," and it is a horse bred on the Iberian Peninsula. Pitágoras, the Marwari is a hardy breed that is descended from crossing Arabian horses with native Indian ponies. Sócrates, the Appaloosa is a beautiful breed of horse known for leopard-spotted coat." She smiled proudly. "And Anaximandro, the Friesian originating in the Netherlands. Very graceful, wise and nimble for their size."
Recognizing Diana, Anaximandro became excited. He started pawing the ground and breathed out making a soft snorting sound. He then lowered his head to Diana.
"Hi, there. I've missed you too," Diana said rubbing his forehead. "Anaximandro is the son of Bucephalus, the magnificent horse of Alexander, The Great." Only I can ride him."
"Oh?"
"The Amazons found him on a ship they...," lowering her tone, "...plundered."
Kal nodded understanding.
"They brought him here but he was very fierce, indomitable. I still don't know how to explain that moment but one look from me and his spirit calmed."
"That's because of your calming spirit, Diana. You bring so much happiness and joy."
"You are so sweet, Kal."
"And I'm very serious, Di."
She stared into his eyes and bit her lip.
Kal cupped her chin slowly pulling her face closer to his. He brushed his lips lightly against hers.
"Later we can come back. Take a stroll with Anaximandro."
"Ok. That would be lovely," Diana said taking his hand as they walked back out the stables.
She guided him to another remote area of the island.
"The caves." Diana laughed softly. "I thought that While exploring these caves, I would have to face some mystical creatures. I was really hoping to."
"What happened?"
"Absolutely nothing."
Kal chuckled and touched the wall. "This is actual crystal."
"Yes, it is." Diana then touched the wall. "Here on the other side, I carved a few quotes in the wall."
Day by day, what you choose, what you think and what you do is who you become.
No woman ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and she's not the same woman.
What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.
"That one is interesting."
"It speaks to us as being who we are as heroes."
The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.
Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.
Make the best use of what's in your power and take the rest as it happens.
"It inspired me a lot as I grew to understanding my gifts. Accepting that I was different and accepting my path and purpose." Diana then looked at him to see him staring at her. "What is it?"
"You just never cease to amaze me." He took her hands in his. "Diana, I...I know we were going to wait to talk but I-" he paused and frowned.
"Kal? What is it?"
"Something's happening?"
"What? Where?"
"WatchTower emergency alert. We have to go."
Diana nodded and they hurried out the cave flying off back to the temple.
"Mother?" Diana called. "Mother?"
"Yes, Diana!"
"We have to go. There's an emergency."
Hippolyta nodded slightly. "Please be careful and I hope that you will be back Kal-El."
He smiled. "Of course, your Highness. Thank you," he bowed.
Diana embraced Hippolyta before she and Kal flew off again heading to Nevada.
"Bruce, what's happening?"
"Royal Flush Gang. Arson to multiple buildings and robbery. Cyborg, Shazam and I are on the trail of the Secret Six, seems like their connected." "
"Alright, looks like Flash and Lantern are handling they Flush gang. Wonder Woman and I will handle the fires."
Superman and Wonder Woman quickly made sure there wasn't anyone still trapped inside put out the fires of 5 buildings.
Green Lantern and Flash rounded up the Royal Flush Gang awaiting for A.R.G.U.S to take them into custody.
"Good to see you're back in one piece, Supes," Hal laughed.
"What does that suppose to mean?" Kal quirked his brow.
"Surrounded by dangerous hot immortal women."
Diana frowned. "What did you say?!"
"Oh, no, no clearly he didn't mean it like that," Barry said stepping in front of Hal.
Diana took out her sword. "I'll show you dangerous."
"Wait...wait..." Kal said wrapping his arms around Diana's waist holding her back.
"Let me go, Kal."
"Diana."
He held her tighter to his chest. She sighed dramatically and glared at Hal.
"Uh? What's happening?" Billy asked flying down to them.
"Hal is a bit bitter he wasn't invited to Diana's homeland."
"Ha! I'm bitter, too. Big Blue always gets lucky," Billy smirked.
Noticing his arms was still wrapped around Diana's waist, Kal quickly let her go. Diana looked back at him over her shoulder knowing exactly what he was thinking.
"We don't have time for jokes from you two." Batman narrowed his eyes. "We still have work to do."
For almost 2 hours, the League helped clean up the destruction. Afterwards, they went to the WatchTower for the debriefing.
"The Secret Six are being held at Arkham. I need to know who they're working for. What ever information I get, I'll transmit it back to Cyborg."
After the briefing, the league went their separate ways. As Diana was walking passed Kal she handed him a note.
9 p.m.
He looked up to see her wink and smile before walking away. He smirked and nodded slightly.
Later that night...
Kal flew down to Diana's front porch. He took a deep breath as he rung the door bell. When Diana opened the door, his jaw dropped.
Diana smiled. "Good evening, Kal."
"Oh...uh...Good evening, Diana..." He couldn't take his eyes off of her, staring at her gorgeous curvaceous body.
She was dressed in a midnight blue satin V neck chemise night gown. Sheer lacy cups with criss-cross straps, a low backside, and short hemline design.
She stepped aside from the door. "Well are you going to come in?"
"Yeah..." he stepped in.
Diana closed and locked the door. Kal followed her into the living room and sat down on the sofa.
"So what was it you were going to say in the cave?"
Kal sighed and took her hand. "Di, I want you to know, I have no regrets for what we did."
"Neither do I."
"You know my feelings for you." He reaches up caressing her cheek. "You know I love you."
"Yes, you've made that quite clear for quite some time."
"But I want to do this right with you. I want to start over in a way. You deserve that from me to show and prove to you how serious I am."
"Kal, you already have."
"This is a different, bigger step, Di."
Diana smiled and leaned closer to him. "You want to properly court me?"
Kal smiled back. "Of course."
"I don't mind that one bit..." Diana trailed her hand slowly down his chest. "How do we start now?"
"Well it's a little late for dinner. Proper date tomorrow night. As for now..." Kal pulled her to sit on his lap. "Did I tell you how breathtakingly sexy you are?"
"Hmm...no...but by your earlier facial expression and you not being able to keep your eyes up, told me all that I needed to know."
Kal chuckled. "I'm sorry."
"No need to apologize." Diana then looked down and sighed.
"What's wrong?"
She looked back up at him. "When I said that I loved you...why I wanted to rush off...at that moment, I was afraid."
"Afraid? Why? You have nothing to be afraid of."
"These feelings, I've never felt before. I've went on dates Nessa set me up with but I couldn't help but to think of you. I was relieved to come home or get an emergency call. Many nights...I wanted to be just like this, in your arms. So many thoughts have ran through my mind of us together. I didn't understand it at first. I thought it was wrong, that I shouldn't feel what I feel. But we became closer as friends. You treated me with such kindness and respect. My feelings became so much deeper. Kal, I don't want to ever lose this bond we have."
"Never. I will never let that happen. That's why I want to do this right. No shortcuts, no rushing. We take our time."
Diana nodded. "But if you're wondering, that doesn't mean you can't kiss me."
Kal smirked and captured her lips in a passionate kiss.
For the next 2 months, Kal and Diana went out on casual dates and spent their off days together. Even with being interrupted by an emergency call didn't bother them much because, they were together, and that was all that mattered.
Another month passed. They started to frequently stay the night over at each other's place.
Kal loved to see Diana wearing his shirt and Diana loved seeing Kal shirtless wearing sweats or shorts.
There was an unspoken yet mutual understanding and agreement that they would wait. Wanting their night to be very special.
Diana smiled and cuddled closer to him. Kal wrapped his arms tighter around her.
"This feels nice," Diana sighed lovingly.
"Feels right, too." He kissed the top of her head. "Every night we get to have like this is..."
"Well deserved and cherished."
"Yeah...exactly."
Diana looked at him as he caressed her cheek. She then leaned up as he leaned down for a soft kiss.
Another 2 months later...
"Oh, Gods, Kal! That was the worst!"
Kal laughed as he and Diana were walking out the theater.
"I am very disappointed with the women screaming so much instead of fighting back. They ran but slasher was still so close!"
"It's just a movie, Di."
"Yes, I know but some of it still doesn't make any sense even for a movie. My mother would've cut him in pieces with her ax."
"Then there wouldn't be a movie at all."
Kal moves to be behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist as they continued walking. He breathed in the exotic sweet scent of her hair. Diana giggled closing her eyes for just a moment.
She suddenly gasped opening her eyes, as she felt them starting to levitate.
"Kal?"
"We're good, Di." He kissed the the back of her head assuring her. "Let's go home."
"Home?" Diana questioned to herself then smiled.
Usually he would say they are going to his place or her place. This was the first time he said home.
Once at the apartment and Kal opened the door, Diana headed to the bedroom to change. Before going into the bedroom with her, he went to his desk drawer to get something special.
He smiled to himself and nodded going to the bedroom.
"Di?"
"Yes, Kal?"
He smiled wider seeing her in nothing but her strapless bra and underwear.
"I have something for you."
"Oh? What is it?"
He stepped closer to her and caressed her cheek.
"When I said home, I meant it."
He took her hand and placed something in it.
She looked down to see what it is and then looked up at him.
"A key?"
"I want you to feel even more at home."
She smiled and jumped into his arms, kissing him. Kal wrapped his arms around her deepening their kiss. He picked her up and carried her over to the bed. After laying her doen gently, he quickly took off his clothes only leaving on his boxers.
Diana reach up running her hands down his chest.
"Is this okay?" he asked.
"Perfect," she whispered wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him down into a kiss.
6th month...
Civilians ran screaming as massive massive orb of fire were being launched by Lava Lord. Compounded by condensed volcanic gas and magma and ruler of the Fire Trolls.
Wonder Woman flew in front of civilians huddled in a corner, closing in on them, taking the attack head on.
Lava laughed at the sight.
"Oi, what are you doing? It's not as interesting if I make you a pile of ash first." As the fire dissipated. "Or maybe I can make you my Queen."
Diana frowned. "I don't think so."
The rest of the league was fighting against fire trolls.
"How do we suppose to get rid of them?! We can't even touch them."
Suddenly there was another fireball coming at them. Superman quickly came up with an idea.
Using his super freeze breath, he froze the fireball and punched it, shattering it to pieces.
"Well...okay that works." Hal said. "We are going to need a hell of a lot more ice power."
"Two ice cream shops, two big freezers, Lantern need some kind of giant vacuum."
"I'm liking this plan already!"
Superman made his way to Wonder Woman.
Lava Lord was naturally unafraid of most opponents, and most, could not hope to match him in terms of power. However, facing a Demigods and a Sun God, was quite different.
"Impossible!" Lava thought. "No matter. I will have a Queen and you, Superman, my offer as my right hand."
Kal raised an eyebrow in confusion. "We're here to stop you. Not align with you."
"Oh? Then you both will die a fiery death."
"You don't know us very well at all..." Wonder Woman smirked.
Out of nervousness, Lava launched a fireball at them, but it was stopped in its tracks by Kal's freeze breath and Wonder Woman shattered it with her sword.
"You see, Lava, Superman and I are partners."
She leaped into the air as Superman blew his freeze breath. With his left arm completely frozen, Wonder Woman moves quickly, shattering it with her sword.
"What are you doing?!"
"We are in sync, connected..." she shattered his right arm.
Superman completely covered the rest of his body.
"You are no match for either of us!"
Wonder Woman and Superman lunged at him, punching straight through Lava Lord.
"Know your place!"
He shattered into pieces.
"Clean up on Reese Blvd," Lantern said as he swooped up Lava Lord. "Bats already contacted A.R.G.U.S to have a very cold place set up."
They nodded as Lantern continued on.
"We do make a great team...in more ways than one."
Diana smiled and kissed his cheek. "Always."
Hours later...
"That was exquisite!" Diana grinned. "Super chef."
Kal laughed. "I'm glad you liked it."
He stood up to take their plates to the kitchen. Diana then stood to help finish clearing the table. Before Kal could start washing the dishes, she stopped him.
"That can wait." She put her hand on top of his. "But I think we've waited long enough."
Kal stared into her eyes. "You sure, Diana?"
"Our first time was unexpected, a rush of emotions. We can take our time tonight...and every night on."
He smiled and cupped her cheeks with both hands, kissing her softly.
Pulling away smiling, Diana took his hand as they floated off to the bedroom.
With the door shut, they didn't say anything, just stared in each other's eyes as though they were reading each other's thoughts.
Kal came closer to her, keeping eye contact and when there was no space between them, he kissed her. Diana pulled his shirt over his head, momentarily breaking the kiss. He wraps his arms around her and lifts her up. He laid her down gently on the bed.
His lips touched her neck, softly pressing against her skin, as his hands slid slowly down her sides. He lifted her shirt and Diana took it off.
Diana removed her bra and Kal removed her shorts and underwear. She moaned at his touch, as he cupped her breasts. His touch was soft and so sweet. Her breath was caught in her throat and she bites her lower lip as he licks down her body. He grins against her, placing a kiss on her inner thigh.
When he went back up to her lips, Diana then flipped him over, straddling him. She unzipped his pants pulling them down with his boxers. Before she could do anything else, Kal flipped her on her back again.
He locked eyes with hers as he positioned his body and began pushing into her slowly.
Diana closed my eyes and nodded. He didn't rush; he took his time and moved deliberately. She realized after a few thrusts that he was following her cues. She held his shoulders and kissed him, her ankles hooked together behind his back.
She soon felt a brilliant, warm point of energy inside her which expanded with every moment Kal was in her. Soon, it was no longer a mere point, but filling every living cell inside her body, pulsating with warmth, bliss and the highest level of pleasure.
Her breathing was a battlefield of contrasts, all of her control lost within short sharp gasps of approval and long, tense pauses, where it's like she is so gone she has forgotten to breathe.
Diana opened her eyes then looked him in the eyes as he started to pick up his pace. She screamed out, arching her back, and gripped the sheets. The sensation was overwhelming.
Kal kissed her passionately, wrapping his arms around her. Without breaking their connection, he rolled over. Diana broke their kiss throwing her head back as she slid further down on him. With her pressed down so close and so tight, she meets his eyes again, a little smile on her lips. Then, she starts to move.
Her face is against his neck, nestled in the curve kissing him, licking and sucking gently on the point where his collar bone dips.
"Diana." he mutters.
His hands move of their own accord all over her body. He grips her hips, pushing himself as far into her as he can get while she grinds her hips furiously against him.
"Kal...," she moaned in his ear.
Diana brought her lips to meet his, and he stops thinking, just closes his eyes and feels her move and sigh and the scrape of her nails on his chest when she hits just the right spot. She began to tense around him, and he revels in the little flutters of her muscles squeezing down, the way her movements get more erratic and the tightness of her grip on his shoulders.
Kal was hypnotised by the way her body moves and her thighs tense and her breasts sway. His lips drift downwards and meets one, tugging her into his mouth with an intensity that makes her yelp, surprised. She enclosed him in her arms, clutching him to her in a way that makes his hips jerk, makes him want to pull her down on him over and over until she's undone.
"Oh...Kal," is all she said, a tiny, visceral groan of his name, nipping gently at his earlobe.
Kal turned her over on her back. He increased his speed and pressure again. Time seemed to stand still as waves of pleasure came over her.
"Yes! Yes! Oh YES!" she kept moaning in ecstasy.
With a shrill, high pitched scream of pleasure, her body instantly went rigid. Kal felt her body begin to relax again. He holds onto her legs, pushing them higher up.
He breathed in heavily. And then just like that it's him that's undone, him groaning against her neck and squeezing his eyes tight shut and clinging to her like he's afraid she'll disappear, releasing himself into her. He kissed her neck and captured her lips in a passionate kiss.
They laid still holding each other as the came down from their high, catching their breaths.
After a little while, Kal laid on the side of her and Diana turned laying her head on his chest. Kal only realized he was grinning when Diana looked up at him and returned his smile from where she lays, cocooned at his side, with her hand clasped protectively over his heart.
Her left leg draped across his hip, bringing their lower bodies close together. Kal rubbed up and down her thigh, kissing her lightly.
"Love is the joy of the good, the wonder of the wise, the amazement of the Gods." She kissed him lightly again. "By Plato."
"I love you, Diana."
"I love you, too, Kal."
