We're back with a brand new chapter for Heaven's Shadow, and I am really sorry for the lack of updates. I sort of hit a writer's block wall, but I was also working on ADJ Volume 2 and my book. I am sorry since this chapter did take like yesterday and the day before. I want to get these out more instead of monthly that I was doing.
I've also been working on new side stories for the ADJ verse and my Security Guard Animaniacs story since I wanna get that out before the end of the year. I also updated my second chapter for Zer0 Ambition if anyone likes a Borderlands story, if not I do still recommend it.
Anyways I don't have much else to say so I'll leave you all with the story.

Chapter Four: Heaven's Shadow Part Four: Dance with the Devil
(A Devil's Justice)

Ragna pulled the trigger with Jekyll and Hyde, unleashing a hail of bullets at the strange woman but Bayonetta easily leaned back avoiding the bullets, firing off rounds from her boots. Ragna dashed the side as did Bayonetta, both firing off rounds as bullets collided, squishing together as the two fought. Ragna jumped off the side of the building, twisting his body as he descended towards the ground, shooting up at her. Bayonetta jumped after Ragna, running down the glass windows without a crack, firing at the hybrid hero. Ragna flipped onto his feet as he landed on the ground, blasting towards Bayonetta, charging Jekyll and Hyde with Love and Hate.
Bayonetta's eyes widened as a red and pink bullet pierced the sky straight towards her. She smirked as she rolled out of the way, just as the bullets flew past her. Suddenly, time seemed to have stood still, everything slower around the Umbran Witch. Bayonetta smirked at her Witch Time power coming in handy when she needed it. As far as she knew, the Witch Time has always worked for her, slowing down time all around her for a certain period of time. It was just enough time for her to jump down and land beside her target. It was all too easy, it was almost sad really. She twirled her gun and aimed it at her targets head, it was simple and effective….wait. Bayonetta realized something was off but she couldn't quite put it on the tip of her tongue, was it her target. Maybe she should get a better look at him and see what she is dealing with now that he was looking at….wait a minute.
He was looking up before where she was on the side of the building. Imagine Bayonetta's shock when her target's head was slowly turning to face hers, his body twisting as he hurled his knee forward. To Bayonetta it was like moving at normal speed, but for Ragna it was using all of the speed and power he had to knock her out, missing her head. For him it seemed as if she was moving faster, perhaps she had a much faster speed than his, but he wasn't gonna let her shoot him. He fired off several rounds, all empowered and were right in front of the witch, forcing Bayonetta to twist her head just as time moved again. Ragna took this moment of surprise to hurl forward slamming his knee into Bayonetta's gut.
"My, my, didn't your parents ever teach you it's rude to hit a lady?" Bayonetta teased, glaring at the hybrid.
"Not when they're shooting me!" Ragna called back, dashing towards Bayonetta swinging his fists. Bayonetta rolled her eyes as she ducked and dodged the attacks, flipping back and firing several rounds. Ragna holstered his guns and held his hands out, moving at razor speed, before dropping every single bullet that Bayonetta fired. Ragna let out a sigh of relief, before he was kicked in the gut, a round fired in his stomach, before he was blasted into a building. Ragna groaned while pulling himself back on his feet, side stepping a bullet and firing off several rounds of his own. Bayonetta easily sidestepped the shits, charging at the hybrid hero, swinging her leg. Ragna blocked the kick with his arm, but the blow blasted him out of the building, crashing through several buildings. Ragna flipped back onto his feet skating to a halt, looking around to find himself at the docks of Redgrave City, warehouses all around him.
"Ya know, if I didn't know any better." Ragna reached out, catching a bullet between his fingers, glaring at the smirking witch.
"I'd say you're stalling for time." Ragna didn't answer the witch at the moment, taking a look around the docks, sniffing the air.
"Hmm….good, only us here…that means I don't have to worry as much." Ragna growled, cracking his knuckles.
"Worry?"
"Now…..I don't have to hold back as much." Was the last thing Ragna said before he reappeared in front of Bayonetta, hurling his fist at her. The Umbran Witch easily ducked under the blow activating her Witch Time. She stood at Ragna's side, raising her gun at his head, only for his arm to slowly (From her perspective) to knock it away, hurling his other fist forward. Bayonetta could only smile, it was so predictable…until he stopped mid-way, surprising her. The surprise turned into shock as pressure of air blasted her in the chest, deactivating Witch Time and knocking her into a nearby warehouse.
Bayonetta pulled herself out of the rubble she made, ducking in the nick of time as Ragna hurled towards her. He dug his hand into the ground and pulled himself back towards her, firing a barrage of flurry fists at the witch. Bayonetta was quite surprised by his burst of speed, surpassing most angels that she has faced currently. She was still able to dodge them, but she knew one move would cost her a bruise that she would hate on her face. Bayonetta twisted her pistol and collided with Ragna's fist, followed by another, and another. The two exchange blows as they begin moving across the docks at inhuman speeds, but Ragna had an uneasy feeling. He could feel his knuckles bruising as he punched her fists, and despite being on her level at the moment, he felt something was amiss.
Bayonetta lifted her knee blocking a punch, Ragna shooting his head back to avoid the kick, somersaulting away from the witch. He pulled out Jekyll and Hyde, opening fire on the witch, who hired off both her pistols. The two ran across the docks firing at one another, their bullets colliding into each other, finally dropping once the two came to halt at the end of the docks. Ragna immediately looked out towards the water, shaking his head as a shiver ran down his spine, which did not go unnoticed by the witch.
"Afraid to get wet, are we?" Bayonetta taunted, letting out a jovial laugh.
"NO…SHUT UP!" Ragna roared, lunging at the witch. Imagine his shock when she spinned kicked him into a warehouse destroying it. Ragna groaned as he pulled himself out of the rubble, glaring up at the smirking witch.
"I must say, quite a stubborn one you are."
"You'll see I'm full of surprises." Ragna growled, rolling up his sleeves.
"Indeed, perhaps you will require more effort." Bayonetta mused, twirling her guns before holstering them behind her back. Ragna eyed the witch as she pulled her fist back, cocking an eyebrow in confusion as a purple circle appeared above her. Imagine his shock when a large monstrous armor appeared, flying straight towards him, instinctly lifting his arms up to block it. Ragna cried out in pain as the fist slammed into his arms, knocking him back, the hybrid groaning as one of his arms broke before instantly healing itself. He looked to glare up at the witch only to find himself in Redgrave Forest…on the other side of the city.
"Yoohoo!" Ragna looked up just in time as Bayonetta fell towards him, two large heels appearing under her. Ragna instantly held his hands up, but the force slammed him into the earth, shaking the entire forest. Bayonetta landed back on her feet, only to grunt as a fist slammed into her cheek, shocking her as she looked back up to see Ragna glaring at her.
"It's gonna take a lot more than that to defeat me!" Truely, had Bayonetta faced Ragna before his first meeting with the League this would be game over…..but this wasn't that Ragna. With every battle till now: The Imperium, Atrocitus, The Hellspawn, Ifrit, Magnus and the Paladins, Cerberus, and Hades himself. These battles have pushed Ragna into not only new abilities, but have pushed his body into breaking a new limit.
"Sorry Ghia'ta…..gonna have to break my promise." Ragna growled, summoning the infernal gauntlets of Ifrit, bursting into Hellfire Mode with the Demon Mark appearing on his forhead. Bayonetta smirked as she pulled her fist back, the kid was quite the literal hothead, and it was time to snuff out the flame. She hurled her fist forward, but to her shock Ragna collided with her demon fist, shocked as the flames knocked it back with a shockwave. The two fired a barrage of flying fists, shaking the entire forest and half the city nearby. Ragna jumped over a flying fist, landing on the large arm, switching with his chain and running down the arm. Bayonetta tried to slap Ragna off her, but the hybrid jumped pver it, latching the end of his chain around the bigger arms wrist.
He grunted with exertion, surprising Bayonetta as she felt her feet leave the ground, dragged along with her demons arms, swinging in a circle. Ragna growled as he jumped into the air spinning his body and flinging Bayonetta towards the earth. Bayonetta easily landed back on her feet, smirking up at Ragna, only to lift her arms to block a swing from the sudden staff he had in his arms. Ragna growled as he began swinging the staff repeatedly on her arms, digging her feet into the earth, up until she was knee deep into the earth. Ragna smirked as he landed back on his feet, pulling his staff back like it was a bat, swinging it into Bayonetta's abdomen and blasting her across the forest.
"Home run!" Ragna cheered, followed by the ground exploding beside him. Ragna let out a sigh of annoyance, looking over to see Bayonetta standing there, dusting herself off. Despite the damage he had done, Bayonetta had not even a scratch on her body, and look none for ware.
"Alright, I'll admit, your harder than you look, little Devil." Bayonetta teased.
"...Are you seriously making fun of my height?!" Ragna growled. That was not fair, compared to her everyone was short.
"It's a shame you're this evil agent of darkness, I'm sure Rodin could've done something useful with you." Bayonetta mused, shaking her head. Meanwhile, Ragna was quite flabbergasted by what the woman was saying.
"Agent of Darkness, you said before….wait, I thought you were the bad gu-!"
"Oh well, time to end this." Ragna instantly held Cerberus up blocking the kick, feeling his bones rattle from the suddenly stronger kick that knocked him back into the mountain. Ragna blasted out of the wall, swinging his staff only to be blocked by her heel, before the large demonic hand slammed him into the ground. Ragna groaned as he pushed himself back up, completely shocked that the woman had still been holding back a bit more strength.
"AVAVAGO!" Was the last thing Ragna heard before he saw a row of razor sharp teeth.

"...I'm sure they're held up som-!"
"They're late." GL grunted, interrupting Flash as the Justice League save for Ragna and Diana sat around the meeting table, having to wait ten minutes after the meeting started for Ragna and Diana. GL rubbed his eyes in annoyance, he gave the kid one job, all he had to do was arrive on time. It's not like the kid was out patrolling tonight, he figured the kid was taking a small break since Hades. Still, all he wanted was that the kid actually attend these meetings, especially if he wanted to be more apart of this team.
"I'm sure they just lost track of time, I do that all the time." Flash said nonchalantly, leaning back in his chair, before scratching his back again. He didn't know why but it felt itchy since he got on the Javelin.
"That surprises no one." Hawkgirl joked, smirking at the speedster.
"Hey!"
"Still, John is right, Ragna knew we had a meeting today." Superman said.
"One that is a waste of time." Batman stated, crossing his arms in silent annoyance. He could care less about these meetings when he had far more important things to take care of, he was only here because Clark dragged him up here. Though he will admit he did wonder why Ragna was taking so long, perhaps something was happening.
"Man this is getting worse and worse." Flash groaned, scratching his back with his super speed.
"Flash focus, someone get in touch with the kid?" GL asked, holding up his ring calling Ragna, only to receive no answer.
"Nothing." Martian Manhunter stated, holding his' out.
"Same." Hawkgirl added with hers lying on the table.
"He's not at his apartment." Superman stated, using his X-Ray Vision to pear all the down in Redgrave to find Ragna not in his home.
"Princess ain't picking up either." GL said, lowering his ring.
"Shouldn't we just get started without them?" Flash asked, scratching his back.
"No way, it's time the kid takes this league stuff seriously, so we wait." GL said.
"Sheesh GL, give the kid a break." Hawkgirl said, rolling her arm. She seemed to be the only one to notice GL's harsher tone when it came to Ragna and Diana. She knew Ragna was just an impulsive teen, but that's what he was: a hormonal emotional driven teenager. It was no different back on her home planet.
"The kid ain't the only one with a lot on his plate, so sorry that I don't feel like holding him on a pede-Will you stop that?!" GL glared at Flash, who began scratching his body frantically.
"I-I can't, to itch-GRAH!"
"Flash!" The group jumped up from their seats as Flash jumped from his spot, his back exploding with golden light. The golden light formed a cross on the speedsters back before firing into the room, forming a large cross in the middle of the room which began to grow.
"What the hell?!" GL cursed, holding his ring out and aiming it at the golden light.
"...Someones coming through." Superman muttered, hearing a heartbeat. At that moment, a silhouette stepped out of the light, their body hidden from the light, followed by a much larger one.
"Ah, so this is the homebase of you heroes…quite impressive, to watch the world below." A female voice called out as the light died down, revealing a feminine figure in white and golden clothing, beside a giant man in white garbs.
"Who the hell are you?!" GL questioned, aiming his ring at them.
"Oh, you don't recognize me, hero…..'Oh thank you Flash, thank you!" She cried out in a mock tone, leaning on the larger man that put Bane and Croc to shame.
"YOU?!" Flash asked, flabbergasted, recognizing the tone.
"Yes, me."
"Who are you?" Superman asked, his body ready for a fight that was bound to happen due to the malice coming from the two.
"Allow me to introduce myself, Superman. I am Lady Sofia, Arch Nun of the Second Sphere, and this is my Husband Aris: Power of the Holy Order." Sofia introduced herself, gesturing to her husband.

"Holy Order?" Hawkgirl asked.
"Yes, an Order that has been here since the dawn of the Lord, an order that is here to remove you heretics from the face of this planet." Sofia proclaimed, pulled out a large cross that nearly matched her in height.
"Not gonna happen lady!" Flash said, running towards her at super speed. However, Sofia smirked under her mask as she stabbed the cross into the ground, a golden sphere of light appearing around her and Aris. Flash was so close and had no time to dodge as he slammed into the sphere, groaning in pain. However, this was the perfect opportunity as Aris grabbed the speedster by his head and slammed him to the ground, shaking the fortress.
"FLASH!" Several of the heroes called out, hearing the speedster groan in pain while Sofia chuckled.
"That was easier than expected…Aris, deal with them." Sofia ordered, Aris grunting as he tossed the speedster aside and lunged at the group. Superman flew into the air meeting the behemoth head on, both hurling into the floor below with Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl flying after them.
"Don't think this will be easy, lady!" GL growled, firing a beam from his ring, only for Sofia to slice into nothing with her cross.
"On the contrary, Lantern, I hope for the fun." Sofia stated as she held her cross up, the silver steel lighting up in golden light, before she twisted it holding it up like a rifle. GL and Batman had to jump out of the way as she fired off golden bullets, jumping out of GL's beam and firing at them. GL constructed a green shield, but the golden bullets pierced through the construct, forcing GL to fly around avoiding them.
Batman ran across the room jumping and rolling out of her bullets, throwing several batarangs at the super power Nun. Sofia easily ducked under the small objects and fired more rounds at the caped crusader, only to be knocked out of the air by GL's constructed battering ram. The nun easily flipped back on her feet, holding her weapon high and aiming it at the hero. However, Batman swung in kicking her in the head, knocking the weapon out of her hand. Sofia instantly jumped back charging at Batman, showing her skill in hand to hand combat. While it wasn't something Batman wasn't new to, he was silently impressed by how well she handled herself. She easily blocked his punch and went for her weapon, swinging it at the dark hero. GL and Batman stood across from Sofia, who flipped her weapon now holding it like a blade, pushing off her foot charging at the two.
Meanwhile, Superman and Aris fell through several floors before landing at the docking bay, the Man of Steel tossing Aris towards the ground. He fired beams of heat from his eyes, colliding with Aris' chest. While he had meant to incapacitate the large man, he found himself surprised that Aris was able to shrug off his heat vision as he grabbed a nearby javelin and hurled it at the Man of Steel, who easily caught the vehicle. Hawkgirl flew under Superman with a battle cry, swinging her mace across Aris face, knocking the large man with each blow. Aris grunted with each hit, but his face was obscured by his hood so she was unable to tell if she did any damage. Her answer came in the form of Aris catching her mace, picking up her into the air before gripping her into a bear hug. Hawkgirl cried out in pain in the bone crushing hug, just as Martian Manhunter appeared behind Aris and slammed both hands on the side of his head, dropping the winged heroine.
Aris snarled as he swung wildly, but Martian Manhunter easily phased out of existence, letting Superman to fly in and deliver a haymaker, knocking Aris on his back. The behemoth stood back on his feet, only to be knocked in the head by Hawkgirl's mace. Aris hurled his fist forward knocking Hawkgirl into the javelin, destroying the ship, before grabbing Superman by his head and punching him in the chest multiple times. He felt his arm restricted, looking to see Manhunter's body stretched out holding his fist back. Aris swung it back, smacking Manhunter away, only to grunt in pain as Superman slammed him into the wall with a fist in Aris' chest. Superman grabbed the giant man by the front of his hood and slammed his fist into Aris with a powerful right hook, knocking the giant off his feet.
"...Yeah, he ain't getting back up." Hawkgirl commented.
"Indeed." Manhunter agreed, all three looking up hearing gunfire above.
"Come on, we should head up and he….Watch o-OOF!" Superman and the others grunted in pain as Aris tackled all three of them right out of the docking bay and into the void of space. Aris began punching and manhandling the three who fought back, all the meanwhile falling towards the Earth. The reentry into orbit began as Aris was lit on fire, and unfortunately Martian Manhunter was in his grip, the Martian screaming in pain as he was caught in a choke hold. Hawkgirl and Superman punched and battered at the behemoth, as they tore through the sky into the Grand Canyon itself.

Ragna grunted in pain as blood dripped down his hands, using all the strength he had to keep the teeth at bay, the monstrous creature snarling at him. The creature's head appeared via a red portal, a draconic creature, one that he instantly recognized the stench. He roared as he slammed the beasts head onto the ground jumping back, glaring at Bayonetta.
"You call me an agent of darkness yes you summon demo…..Are you naked?" Ragna asked, looking away from the revealing witch, Bayonetta smirking at the hybrid hero.
"Oh come now, don't be shy little devil….I won't bite much." Bayonetta teased as she posed, her raven hair weaving around her like magic while the demon floated above her. It's head was wrapped in raven hair like Bayonetta's, it's eyes glaring down at the Son of Sparda, recognizing his blood. This demon was a beast of Inferno, a devourer of demons and angels alike: Gomorrah.

Gomorrah roared as it lunged at Ragna, slamming its head into him and blasting him across the forest. Ragna bounced off his feet pulling his fist back, only to be caught in the trapping maw of the demon beast, his feet on it's lower jaw to keep it from snapping his arm off if it was possible. The demon lifted its head before slamming Ragna into the ground, repeatedly, destroying the earth below. Once Ragna got free he jumped back and pulled out Jekyll and Hyde firing several rounds into the demons head. The bullets pierced the flesh, but Gomorrah merely roared in rage, lunging at Ragna. Ragna easily jumped over it and slammed his fist into it's cheek, Bayonetta noting that Ragna's right hook was stronger than his left one. It was a small piece of info to take notes on, unsure why that was possible.
Ragna summoned his chains and moved around the demon, latching his chain around the beasts head and neck, keeping it's maw closed. Gomorrah snarled between the chains and jerked its head left and right, pulling Ragna off his feet and losing hold. The draconic beast snapped at Ragna, but the hybrid hero pulled out Hyde and fired a round that pushed him away, the rage empowered bullet piercing the demon's eye. Gomorrah roared in fury as it's eye was covered by the weaves of Bayonetta's hair, while Ragna's bruises and injuries healed.
"Come now, Little Devil, don't make this harder than it has to be." Bayonetta stated, watching as Ragna jumped over her summons head, slamming his fist into it's skull and knocking it to the ground only to groan as it easily got back up.
"Sorry lady, but I don't plan on dying…..again…." Ragna muttered as he stood across from the witch, glaring at her as the red aura burned around him, his eyes turning crimson as his glare intensified. Bayonetta merely shrugged her shoulders before commanding her demon to attack, Gomorrah roaring in fury before lunging at the hybrid hero.
"Sorry Ghia'ta…..but I'm gonna need it at the moment." Ragna muttered as he held his right hand out. Time seem to slow down for the two, and not because of Bayonetta's witch time, as Gomorrah's opening maw descended upon Ragna. The hybrid hero remained where he stood, his right arm raised reaching out for something, eyes trained on Bayonetta. Suddenly, Bayonetta heard a loud whistle across the forest as something broke the sound barrier, right into Ragna's hand. A flash of light, and Bayonetta gaped in shock as Gomorrah's head was cleaved from it's neck, a silver and red blade in Ragna's hand. The demon disappeared as Ragna twirled his blade, entering a battle stance as hellfire burned around him. Ragna internally thanked his blade for the perfect timing, the blade burning hotter in anticipation for the fight.
"My my, you are full of surprises." Bayonetta said, her hair reappearing around her body as she pulled out her guns, aiming them at Ragna.
"Ready to end this?" Ragna roared in response, dashing towards the Umbran Witch, Bayonetta clashing with the hybrid hero.
"LET'S FINISH THIS!"

And with that we end Round One between Ragna and Bayonetta, the Son of Sparda against the Umbran Witch, and the near the end of Act One (Or we are at the end, it all depends on how many chapters this story has since I'm basing it on number of chapters.). What did you guys think of the fight? Sure it wasn't as long as my usual chapters, but I had fun all the same, especially with Bayonetta still not at full strength up until the end, yes she is still stronger than Ragna. Her full power currently would be Mountain Level, with Ragna at City Level with Spectral Mode, but he'll get a quick Mountain level moment at the end of the story, but thats there and not here. Ragna is fast, not Flash fast but like I said during chapter twenty five with the Flash and Ghia'ta date Ragna is very fast among the heroes. So I'd imagine he can at least move at some level in Bayonetta's Witch Time, not to mention somethings can move at normal speeds if they are strong or stronger in her Witch Time...at least I think so, I feel like Balder did in Bayo1 but I'll have to replay it. Regardless it doesn't matter.
I decided to change Sofia's design partially, mainly what she wears which is Basically Bayo2 Rosa's design but white and gold. She and Aris are now facing off with the Justice League, let's see how this unfolds before our very eyes, and I wonder what Diana and the girls are doing now? Yeah Flash got taken out pretty easily, but IMO he is basically a Glass Canon in my story, can pack and punch but can't receive. I was gonna do a theme song for the fight, but couldn't think of anything good at the time, I do have one in particular at the final battle.
Bayonetta 3 is fun, my biggest complaint is Viola's use of Witch Time, I mean christ I have to time it JUST right and sometimes it's stupid. I digress, I'll tell you my real thoughts in Volume 2. With that I abid everyone a good night or morning.
