Hello everyone and welcome back to another chapter for Heaven's Shadow, sry for the late update last week was pretty hectic and I was working on some TMD stuff. I also took down Zer0 Ambition cause no one was checking it out so maybe when the Borderland hype comes around I might repost it. I also blame Email Opt In, it fucken sucks. Been a while and gotta get the ADJ train started again, so I'll most likely be focused on finishing this story, Calamity Trio, and starting ADJ back up again. I had this finished last night but it was 3 AM and I was tired. For now let's get into the story and end it once and for all.
Heaven's Shadow Part Ten: Rematch
(A Devil's Justice)
"RRAAAAAHHHH" Both Behemoth and Amazon roared as the clashed, golden bare knuckles striking divine shield, the blow to shatter human bones into dust upon impact. The Amazon slid back, boots digging into the platform as Aris dug his digits into the earth, pulling himself off the ground and flying towards the Amazon. Diana stabbed her blade into the side of the floating cube and twisted her body around out of Aris flying punch, swinging her body in a circle and slamming her heel into Aris' cheek, knocking him off the platform and back towards the ground.
"HHAAA!" Diana flew towards him with her shield held up, slamming Aris head into the ground. Aris grunted as he knocked Diana away and pulled himself out of the ground. Rubble bounced off his golden physique, glaring down at the Amazon before pulling his hands back. With a might CLAP, the entire room shook as the shockwave knocked Diana off the ground. Aris pushed off the ground and grabbed Diana around her ankle, swinging her around and slamming her down repeatedly. Diana growled as she reached for her lasso and swung it into the air and wrapped it around the behemoth's legs, pulling with all her might. Once his grip loosened Diana flew into the air dragging Aris behind her, slamming him into cubes and walls.
"By the Gods this monster does not quit!" Diana growled, seeing the man still growling and trying to get a grip on her. Suddenly the entire room began shaking again, Diana looking up at the ceiling above as she didn't know how, but she sensed a very powerful aura clash with another, ignoring Aris grunt beneath her.
"...Ragna." The Amazon had a gut feeling this was the hybrids doing, and whoever he was fighting was causing the shaking. She hoped she would be able to help them in time, but for now she will deal with this behemoth beneath her.
"RRAAAHHH!"
"Oh enough out of you mindless beast!" Diana growled, tugging her lasso and slamming her boots into Aris' chest.

BANG
Bullets collided in the air as Ragna and Bayonetta ran in a circle firing off rounds faster than the normal eye could see. The hybrid ducked under a wicked weave swing and dashed forward, swinging his Morningstar blade, unsure on if he could even say anything at the moment. His emotions were all over the place: Anger, betrayal, confusion…understanding, acceptance. He and Bayonetta weren't friends, she tried to kill him….yet so did Atrocitus, but he and the red lantern weren't friends as far as he could remember. She had come after him under the guise that she could get her lost memories back. In a way he could understand her, if he had lost everything he held dear he would do anything to get them back, which is funny cause he was at the moment: Working with the one who tried to kill him to save the League and his girlfriend and the rest.
Bayonetta blocked the swing with her pistol, but felt the exertion as the blade pushed against the small handgun, when she noticed cracks in the side of it. Letting out an annoying huff she jumped back as fire burned the ground she stood on but Ragna gave pursuit. He wasn't fighting to beat Bayonetta, he was fighting to save his loved ones and stop Sofia once and for all. Speaking of the nun, she watched on the other side of the glass as the Son of Sparda and Last Umbran Witch duke it out. All was going to plan, the Umbran Witch would slay the demon hellspawn and she would finish off the weakened witch, and vice versa. Either way, she would win and would end the Blood of Sparda forever. Sofia did take a step back when a wicked weave missed Ragna and hit the field holding them, and Sofia let out a small grown seeing the smallest of cracks appear. Perhaps this cube will not be enough to hold what could be comparable to two walking nukes fight, one of them better end this soon.
"Go! Ragna! Go!" Ghia'ta and the others cheered.
"KICK THE BITCHES ASS TO THE NINE CIRCLES!" Tala hollered.
"Woah, dramatic?" Jennifer asked glaring at the dark sorceress.
"I hate Umbran Witches and wished they stayed dead." Tala muttered as the others kept trying to break themselves free. John looked over to see his ring still on the table along with the rest of the tools from the group.
"You need to call on your ring, you and Ghia'ta." Batman stated.
"You figure a way out yet? Cause if we try I don't think our fanatical warden is gonna let us." John gestured to Sofia, the Nun's attention focused on Ragna and Bayonetta.
"I've thought of everything I could, these maiden traps have no weak points other than the glass." Batman stated gesturing to the small opening allowing everyone to see.
"Superman and Martian Manhunter are still unconscious and if we don't hurry they will die, the sorceresses can't use their magic due to whatever power the Nun placed on their cages, I believe your rings are the only way out." Batman stated. He saw cracks in these cages, no openings, not even the smallest of his claws could fit: These Paladins had built these things as the perfect cages to not allow any of their prisoners to escape, but what they didn't test the iron maidens on where its limits on the lantern's power rings.
"On it, Ghia'ta." John whispered over to the alien princess, her eyes entirely focused on the battle before her, knowing that Ragna would come out on top. He always had the ability to surprise his foes with his tenacity, no matter how strong they were. Ragna ducked under a swing and summoned Ifrit, lunging forward and colliding with her knuckles, the shockwave shaking the entire mountain above them. A blur of hellfire and dark magic moved throughout the cube as Ragna and Bayonetta fired a barrage of punches. Sofia actually had to take a step back as the cube shook more with holy and demonic energy.
"Ghia'ta, the kid can hold out for a second, we need our rings." John whispered harshly, loud enough for her to hear. The Sapphire Princess stared back at her boyfriend before nodding and turning to her ring, using all of her focus to bring the ring towards their cages. As the two lanterns closed their eyes and concentrated, muttering their Corp's oath, the two rings slowly glowing bonded to the will and love of their users. The rings flew over and began pushing against the Iron Maiden's holy field, sparks flying.
"Shut this might actually work." Crush muttered.
"Only if Friend Ghia'tas and Friend Lantern are not caught." Starfire whispered, gesturing to Sofia.
"It seems the crazy earthling attention is drawn to the fight." Blackfire stated.
"Come on GL, you got this." Hawkgirl stated, cheering on the two as did Flash silently as to not catch Sofia's and Lero's attention, the archer appearing beside her as they watched the two fight. Ragna summoned Cerberus blocking a blow from the wicked weave, knocking it aside and dashing forward lunging his staff towards Bayonetta. The Umbran Witch twisted her head to the side but the hybrid pulled it back and jabbed it forward several times, slamming into Bayonetta's face multiple times and knocking her back into the cube.
"Get up Witch, and deal with that hellspawn." Sofia ordered, glaring down at the witch as she stood back up.
"You don't have to do this, Bayonetta, she's clearly using you!" Ragna warned, blade aimed at the Fanatical Nun.
"Sorry, Little Devil, but I still have a bounty to complete, and I always complete them." Bayonetta fired off several arounds infused with dark magic, the hybrid twirling his blade to slice them apart, one splitting his cheek open. The wound quickly resealed itself as Ragna jumped forward and swung his blade, but the Umbran Witch jumped back, her moves activating Witch Time, the hybrid seeing everything moving slowly once again. He tried to get out of the way but he felt his body flung sideways from Bayonetta's kick. He collided with the wall of the cube, pulling his head up just in time to see Bayonetta flying towards him with a kick. He stepped out of the way as she kicked the wall, to his confusion she began kicking it multiple times before jerking her boot towards his face, knocking into his cheek and sending him flying.
Ragna transformed into Inferno Mode, Morningstar consumed in Green Flames of Willpower and Hellfire, before he sliced through one of her wicked weaves. However to his surprise Gomorrah appeared from a portal, its maw snapping around him, the demon roaring in victory. That victory was short lived as its scales began to overheat before its entire head exploded in hellfire, Ragna dashing out and firing off a Rage Empowered shot from Hyde, slamming into Bayonetta's abdomen. She shrugged it off and disappeared in a flash of dark magic, Ragna instantly swung his head to the side as Bayonetta pulled the trigger, her gun inches from his face.
Ragna lifted Hyde's right up at her nose, the Umbran Witch twisting her head to the side as he fired off several rounds that bounced around the cube creating several cracks. Ragna twirled his guns and dashed towards the Umbran Witch, slamming it into her right pistol, the steel sparking off from the force of the collision. Bayonetta landed back on her feet and summoned Gomorrah, the infernal beast lunging out of the portal and towards Ragna, the hybrid hero ducking out of the way. The demon gave chase but Ragna felt his powers went into its instinctive offensive state, the Demon Mark appearing on Ragna's forehead and the Spectral Figure appearing behind Ragna like a summon. The increased strength and speed allowed Ragna to slice Gomorrah into pieces, reduced to ashes from his hellfire and spectre.
Ragna dashed forward with his spectre forming its own blade, swinging at the witch at inhuman speeds, the witch ducking and dodging any strike she could, wincing as the infernal blade sliced open her cheeks or even parts of her skin. Ragna's combined state was quickly putting Bayonetta on the defensive, and was getting in the way of her plan. She summoned two weaves and blocked both attacks from the hybrid and his ghostly companion, flipping her body and kicking him in the chin, sending him flying into the ceiling of the cube and bouncing off it. The hybrid began bouncing off of each and every part of the cube.
"Ragna!" Jennifer called out, but the hybrid flipped his body and pulled out Morningstar blocking a kick from Bayonetta and ducking under her bullet shot. He kicked her off and dashed towards her, the two now bouncing and clashing all over the small cube, making it shake and cracks forming all around it.
"Enough! Finish him already!" Sofia snarled, Lero taking a step back from the sheer power the two had as they clashed, wondering if he should summon Aris. Speaking of Aris, how could he not be done with that Pagan Servant already?

"RRRAAAHHH!" Diana grunted as Aris grabbed her by her arm and jerked her down, slamming his fist into her cheek and sending her flying. The behemoth pushed off a cube and towards the Amazon, punching her in a different direction. The Amazon was nothing more but a pinball for the Behemoth's amusement, before he held two fists above his head and slammed Diana into the ground. The Amazon spat out blood before vomiting as Aris slammed his boot into her stomach, the bile laying beside her. Aris picked her up and tossed her into the wall, leaving the amazon princess within a crater.
"I…..I can't…..I can't stop." Diana began running Amazonian Mantra in her head, slowly pulling herself out of the crater in the wall. Blood dripped down her head and arms, bruises and broken bones across her body. Yet the Amazon stood tall, she was Diana Prince, the Wonder Woman. Aris was no different, his rage beginning to boil over this stubborn sinner, and he will not fail his Beloved. He could care less about the Order's wishes, his Wife's will was his, and he will destroy all who threaten her ambitions. Aris roared as he lunged forward, Diana taking a moment to spit out some blood and pull her fist back, slamming it against Aris golden knuckles. The traded blows, the entire room shaking and crumbling, Diana could feel her bones breaking but she still kept fighting, not just to save everyone but to prove herself. She faced The God of the Underworld, she faced worldly invaders, and she is finally trying to form some sort of bond between her and Ragna: Of Man's and Amazon's World.
She could not stop now, even as Aris slammed his fist into her cheek, knocking her tiara off, even as he punched her in the chest breaking her ribs. She stood strong, she stood defiant, as a hero and an Amazon. She may have been banished, but she was still Amazonian, the Princess of Paradise. She huffed and gasped for air, standing on shaky legs, her bracelets slowly peeling off her arms as Aris pulled his fist back to finally end this once and for all. Diana felt her world become slow, her bracelets unlatched from her wrists, as Aris fist lunged towards her.
…BA-BUMP…BA-BUMP…..
White hair flashed before her eyes, blood dripping down her arms, a weak smile on his lips.
BA-DUMP…
Ragna…..dead in her arms….
BA-DUMP BA-DUMP
"GIVE HIM BACK!"
KRA-KOOM
Lightning struck the mountains, traveling through the earth and striking Diana, coursing through her body. Aris' rage turned into shock as his golden fist was caught, looking down to see Diana standing tall, her bruises gone and the bones reformed as if never broken. Her hair turned white as the snow on the mountains, lightning shooting out of her eyes as she glared up at Aris. She let out an inhumane roar and slammed her fist into Aris cheek, lightning shooting out and through Aris. The behemoth let out a roar of anguish as the electricity traveled through his body, pain in every vein.
His entire arm convulsed and twitched with pain as he took a step back, the Amazon glaring up at him. In a flash of lightning she held her tiara in her hands, placing it back on her head and flicking some hair out of her eyes. Popping her knuckles she slammed her fist into his gut, blasting him into the wall, but the behemoth quickly pulled himself out and lunged forward. Diana quickly flew over him and slammed her boots into his back, shooting volts of lightning through the ground around them. She grabbed his legs and began throwing him around like a ragdoll, sweet sweet justice. She twirled her body and flung him towards the ceiling, the large behemoth groaning in pain before Diana slammed into him, disappearing into the hole in the ceiling.

"Come on, Come on." John grunted as he called on his ring, watching it practically try and drill itself through the iron maiden shield, sparks flying as the rings kept going at it. Meanwhile, the Son of Sparda and Umbran Witch clashed and clashed, the cube cracking and shaking around them. Sofia couldn't help but bite her own nails, losing her patience with the witch, Lero covering his face from the shockwaves. It was almost like the witch was testing her patience, and she was winning, and it really infuriated Sofia.
"FINISH HIM!" Sofia roared.
"It's not like the Little Devil makes it easy." Bayonetta mused, blocking a strike with her hand, blood dripping down where the blade pierced her skin. She pushed it away and flipped away but Ragna gave her no room to breathe, swinging Morningstar with the flames of Hell and Willpower flowing around him. He pulled out Jekyll and fired several rounds of Love empowered bullets, one hitting Bayonetta and stunning the Umbran Witch. Ragna twirled his blade like a bat so the flat side would hit her, just because she was trying to kill him doesn't mean he would fall to her level. He launched the witch into the wall and watched her bounce giving her a taste of her own medicine. Bayonetta flipped herself and landed back on her feet, on the ceiling above Ragna using her Umbran magic. Ragna jumped into the air and pushed off the wall, swinging kicks and punches towards Bayonetta. She blocked and pushed aside every blow, noting that Ragna had gotten stronger now that he had that strange mark on his head and the strange spectral figure behind him.
Wicked Weaves and Spectral Hands traded blows, the Spectral form expanding and nearly pushing against the ceiling as did a strange spectral form of an insectoid like woman behind Bayonetta. The two spectrals clashed as did the witch and hybrid, yet their demonic energies combined and fused as they collided, as if meant for one another. Ragna summoned Ifrit with a roar of 'Hellfire Burst' each wicked weave hit was met with over a dozen blows from Ifrit's gauntlets. Ragna roared as he slammed his gauntlets together and dashed forward, headbutting Bayonetta as their clash began shaking the very mountain. Back with the Lantern's Ghia'ta kept muttering her Sapphire Oath, and played moments of her time with Ragna. She couldn't let it happen all over again, the blood, his life draining from his face. She felt her Love strengthen, the bond she has with Ragna, it wasn't perfect but she will make it stronger. That loved coursed through her ring, cracking and breaking the iron maiden's holy aura.
"Impressive work, Ghia'ta, you are 78.6% through the unknown aura field." Aya stated from her cage. Ghia'ta would've thanked her for the update, but losing any focus could disrupt the mantra she had going. The ring burned through the shield before it finally 'KERASHED' the golden aura shattered like glass, the sound in tune with Ragna's fight as Sofia nor Lero turned to face them.
"Yes!" The others silently cheered as her lantern ring burned through the metal and into her cage, right in Ghia'tas' finger.
"Now, time to save the world."
"HRRAAHHH!" Ragna roared as he slammed into Gomorrah's head, stabbing the blade through its skull. No matter how many times he killed it Bayonetta just brought it back like a puppet with new strings. But it didn't matter, he couldn't stop fighting, not just for his own life but for the others. Bayonetta grunted as Ragna killed her summon and pushed her back, the two glaring the other down with Sofia glaring at Bayonetta's backside.
"Do you want your memories back, Umbran Witch?! Finish the job and end the Son of Sparda!" Sofia roared, slamming her fist against the cube, cracking it. Bayonetta smirked.
"Hmm…I suppose it is time to end this little game, Little Devil." Bayonetta stated.
She winked.
Ragna's eyes widened as Bayonetta summoned her wicked weave and hurled her fist forward, the hybrid standing there as it flew towards him. At the last second Bayonetta twisted her body, spinning around and swinging towards Sofia. The Nun and her Paladin jumped back as the wicked weave fist slammed into the wall, cracking it severely. Sofia's eyes widened in realization as the entire cube had taken the full blunt force of the two's confrontation, the cracks evidence of it finally on its last legs.
"NOW!" Bayonetta exclaimed as she pulled her hand revealing Ragna in her weaves' palm. She threw him towards the wall, the hybrid lunging forward with her sword out, the tip of his blade piercing through the golden cube. Sofia twisted her head as it cut open her fabric, the force sending her and Lero flying.
BOOM
Followed by a second explosion, the wall burst open as Diana flew in with Aris as her shield, tossing the behemoth towards the ground beside Sofia and Lero. The Nun crawled to her lover, looking up with a fierce glare as Ragna twisted around aiming Morningstar at her as Diana landed beside him with her sword and shield, Bayonetta landing on the other side.
"Come now, you didn't really think I'd work for a fanatic psycho like you? I may want my memories, but I'd rather be dragged into Hell than work for you. So me and the Little Devil planned this out." Bayonetta stated, aiming her handguns at the Nun.
"Oh….Oh y-yeah it was all totally planned out." Ragna felt sweat bead down his head, completely unaware that was the plan. Sofia snarled as Aris groaned and pulled himself back on his feet, the three Paladins glaring down the three. Sofia smirked under her mask, holding up her wrist with a finger held over it.
"Very well, then watch as your friends suffer for your sins!" Sofia snarled as she activated the Iron Maidens, ready to hear the sweet symphony of sinners screaming in agony.
"Think again, Fanatic." Sofia's eyes widened in shock as Ghia'ta, Jennifer, Tala, Hawkgirl, and the rest of the heroes and girls landed behind Ragna and the girls. Ghia'ta leaned forward and kissed Ragna's cheek, earning a sweet coo from Bayonetta.
"Oh is this your little girlfriend, Little Devil?" Bayonetta smirked, seeing such a cute little thing like Ghia'ta softened her up.
"Ragna, who is this?" Ghia'ta asked, eyeing the strange tall lady beside her boyfriend.
"Everyone, meet Bayonetta. Bayonetta, everyone else. Long story short she tried to kill me, now we're working together." Ragna quickly explained.
"...Does everyone you fight eventually become your friend, Ragna?" Ghia'ta asked.
"Great another concubine." Donna muttered before she was elbowed by Jennifer.
"Let's not make it a habit." Ragna joked, before glaring at Sofia.
"She's not living with us, right?" Tala asked.
"Oh, were you gonna offer me a place to stay, Little Devil?"
"I'M NOT THAT SMALL!"
"CAN WE FOCUS?!" GL exclaimed as Sofia summoned her large cross, slamming it into the ground.
"Deus Vularia Lumenis!" Sofia chanted, repeating the same words as the ground beneath them began to shake. The group felt the ground begin moving upwards, the darkness not lighting up from the ceiling above. The League and girls looked up to see the ceiling above open up to reveal the clear night sky, revealing that they were in fact at the peak of the mountain. The group turned back to Sofia to find her in a new state of being: Her clothes golden as the Sun, spectral wings behind her back. Aris roared and slammed his fist together as Lero conjured his golden clone, the two standing beside Sofia.
"I tried to be truly patient with you sinners, for my wrath is unkind." Sofia warned in a mocking tone.
"Really? I honestly can't tell with ya." Flash joked. However, the sound of machines activating and something roaring below them put everyone on guard. They watched as dozens upon dozen of winged creatures flew into the air, revealing a small army of Proto Angelos flying above ready to annihilate the sinners.
"...Okay Green Lantern…..what's the plan?" Hawkgirl asked, holding her mace up.
"We need to get Superman up to the Sun." Batman ordered, helping the Man of Steel to his feet.
"You feeling better, M&M?" Flash asked, looking over at the sweating Martian.
"...I will need a moment to cool down."
"I don't think they are gonna give us a chance." Tala stated as the winged figures descended.
"Stay beside me, Sister." Koye ordered, her fist flowing with energy.
"...Ragna?" Said hybrid turned around to see Ghia'ta and Aya staring up at him. He could tell they wante-No, needed him to save the day: As the hero they knew he was. Looking over at Diana, surprised by the strange form she took and would question it later, the Amazon stared back down at him. The two stared at each other before she smiled and nodded her head, showing her support. Ragna looked over at Bayonetta, the Umbran Witch smirking and winking at the hybrid. Ragna took a deep breath before turning to Sofia with a glare in his eyes, demonic aura surrounding his body.
"Now, Son of Sparda, be burned in the Holy Light of Heaven!" Ragna popped his neck before twirling his blade, aiming it at Sofia.
"Alright…Let's end this."

And with that we conclude the rematch, with another inconclusive winner, as it was intended. It was fun to write this fight but man it felt shorter then I wanted it to be but it reached four thousand all the same. Moving on we are here and have entered the final battle between Good and Evil: Ragna, Bayonetta, the girls, and the Justice League vs Sofia and the Paladins. I have about four chapters (Possibly three if I can shorten it, a big IF I wanna) set for this final fight
Chapter 11: The Girls and the League vs Aris/Lero and the beginning of Ragna and Bayonetta vs Sofia.
Chapter 12: Ragna and Bayonetta vs Sofia and lead up to the endgame.
Chapter 13: Possible final battle or first part of the final battle I will see what I can do.
We are almost done, let's go out with a BANG! Let's Dance Boys! And Girls!
