A Lover's Worth

Like many couples, Diana Prince and Clark Kent have their own occasional spats. Being Superman and Wonder Woman, the missions don't get an easier and even more so decisions made of how to handle certain threats. It can sometimes put a strain on their personal life. Something had been looming over them for the passed week or so. It was a very tense situation, to say the least.

"Kal? Kal?!"

He blinked out of his daze and looked up at Diana. She was so gorgeous. Even when mad, her piercing cerulean blue eyes with such a pure innocent spark, had him completely mesmerized. She was so much of everything.

"What is it, Kal-El?" she asked almost pleading.

He sighed and got up from the sofa. "Diana, I just have a lot on my mind."

"Tell me."

"It's not for you to be worried about."

"How is it not when you seem so distant from me lately? We are suppose to deal with whatever comes our way together."

He stared at her then shook his head and sighed again.

"He was right."

"Who was right?"

"Apollo."

"What?! What did he say or I'll go ask him my damn self!"

As Diana was about to walk away, Kal grabbed her arm.

"No! Wait a minute."

She turned back to him, glaring.

A few weeks ago...Smallville

Clark flew down to his childhood home. He smiled thinking about his late parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent.

He always came by every once in a while to check on the main house.

He then flew to their graves and kneeled down.

"Hey Ma, Pa. I know I haven't been by in a while. It's no excuse but with my duties as Superman, my freelancing being surprisingly successful and traveling a lot, especially with Diana has kept me quite busy. Diana had a few meetings at the UN today but she will be here next time." He shook his head. "God, I wish you could've met her, Ma. She's incredible. We've been together for 3 years now. Pa, I remembered what you said when I was 13 and yeah, now I know that feeling of what you had for Ma."

"That's very touching..."

Clark frowned and looked back.

"Apollo? What are you doing here? Is it Diana? Is she alright?"

"Calm down, creature. I'm not here on behalf of Diana."

"Why are you here?"

"Don't question an almighty God."

Clark stood up. "I don't have time for this."

"You dare walk away from me? You think just because you beat me once, you are the chosen God of the Sun?"

"Is that what this is about? Still after all this time?"

"You are no God! You are nothing! I'm here to make that clear!"

"Seriously? Look, let me make something clear..." Clark's eyes was turning blazing red. "I don't know and really don't care to know what's your problem with me. My only concern is for Diana."

"Do you think you can ever fully be accepted?"

"What?"

"Diana is the daughter of the King of Gods. She is of the divine. You are not worthy. You are a nonentity."

Clark was just about to fly off, when Apollo suddenly appeared in front of him and punched him back down the ground.

"I said you don't have the right to turn your back on me!"

He didn't give Clark a chance to get up grabbing him by the collar of his shirt.

"You have no chance against me! You are nothing. You don't have a legacy. Just a shadow of a dead planet."

"You don't know anything!" Clark punched Apollo back, knocking him a few feet. He got up and dashed toward Apollo punching him again.

As the two Sun Gods in their own right continued their brawl through the field, Apollo continued with his insults.

"You think she wants to bare a half breed? A child that will be the lowest being. An abomination. No place of belonging anywhere."

Speaking of a potential unborn child, that broke Clark. He and Diana have had numerous talks of their dreams of a family together becoming a reality.

"You don't know me! You don't know Diana!"

But maybe it was just a dream and reality is that they could never settle down, never have children. The world is just too cruel to understand. No matter how hard they tried to help make a change, things may not get better. How would the world react to the child of Superman and Wonder Woman? Very bad people will be after them. Do they really want that? To have their child hide, live in fear or have people fear them?

Flashback End

"You seriously had a fight with Apollo and I'm just now finding out about it?!"

"You didn't need to know."

"Dammit! Why?!"

"Because I knew this would be your reaction and I didn't want to cause any more strain or conflict between you and your family."

"Kal, I've dealt with a lot of misfortune with the Gods. This is just another reason of why I don't deal with them as much as possible. But you...you are the man I love. You are suppose to come to me and talk. Distancing yourself and keeping this in?"

"I know we talked about a lot but..."

"But what?"

"It seems so far away now. I don't deserve you. You need and deserve more."

"What are you saying?"

"I don't know. I just... I need to go out for a minute."

Diana sighed. "I can't believe you let him get into your mind this way! You are questioning what we have."

"Diana, that's not what I'm doing. I love you. You know that."

"Do I?"

"Yes, Diana, you do. I'm not questioning what we have."

Diana shook her head. "So you're questioning why I love you."

"No, that's not..." He paused and sighed.

"I'm going to bed."

"Wait, Diana!"

He tried to grab her hand but she yanked away.

"Di..."

She stormed off into their bedroom and slammed the door.

He stood there for a few more minutes staring at nothing then decided to go get some fresh air. Flying would do some good.

He flew high into the sky above their apartment building. He closed his eyes for a moment just listening to Diana's heartbeat and her soft sad cry as she falls asleep.

"I love her..."

"Well that's obvious, mate. You are just being an idiot. What happened to the hotheaded Kryptonian that endlessly perused my cousin?"

"Eros?"

"Need a little help? Look, I like you. I believe you are worth my cousin's love. And you not only believe it, but know it, too. Apollo is just acting like a spoiled runt because he can't handle a little competition."

"I don't want to mess things up. I don't care about this Sun God business. I just want Diana to be happy."

"What do you think makes her happy? If she wasn't happy, do you think she would still be with you now? Don't you think she wouldn't have gotten so angry? She is a Princess and Demi-Goddess. But that's not the path she chose. She chose the path that will lead to her greatest, deepest desires being fulfilled. You are a big part of that."

Clark nodded. "Diana and I need to have a talk."

Eros smirked. "A talk, eh? Your words are quite powerful and your touch soothes her soul."

Clark smirked. "I have a lot of making up to do."

"I'll be on my way then. Take care of my cousin like I know you can, Kryptonian."

"Right. Thanks again, Eros."

In an instant, Eros disappeared.

Clark took a deep breath and flew back to their patio. He slowly unlocked and opened the door.

He quietly went over to Diana's side of the bed sat down on the edge. He gently caressed her face.

"Di?"

She frowned and groaned.

"Diana, please?"

She sighed. "What is it, Kal?"

He took a deep breathe. "I'm sorry…" he finally managed to say.

She opened her eyes and looked up at him. She still hadn't said anything else but sat up and stared at him.

"I know I went about things the wrong way. But I never meant to hurt you or make you feel that I was questioning my love for you or your love for me. I want to be the man you deserve and is worthy so that we can build the family we've talked about. I want our kids to have the best life possible. I-"

By his surprise Diana, instead of immediately snapping on him, she wrapped her arms around his neck before giving him a soft kiss.

"Woah! What was that for?" He asked surprised as he put his arms around her waist bringing her close to him.

"I can't kiss my beloved?"

"It's that how things have been lately. How I have been acting like such an insensitive idiot..." he said in a sad tone. "I'm sorry… I'm so, so sorry. I-"

Diana cut him off with sadness in her voice. "There are some things we will try to handle on our own because that's how we've always been. But we have to be open with each other no matter what. What angered me is that, we both know our relationship won't be easy. Our lives are already chaotic enough given our responsibilities with our jobs. But having someone try to ruin our happiness and take away what we have, I can not and will not stand for that."

"I won't either, Di. I promise you," he said holding her tighter.

As Clark started squeezing her, Diana let out a giggle.

"You're so beautiful," he whispered huskily. "I'm going to always take care of you." He gently wiped away the stray tear running down her cheek.

"You spoil me," she replied.

"Of course. How can I not?" he mumbled, brushing his lips against her neck. He went a little up and started to kiss that little stop behind her ear.

"Hmm…" moaned Diana. "More," she demanded.

Clark followed her request by leaving a passionate mark on that little spot just behind her ear. He made his way down leaving little kisses all the way through. Diana caressed his hair as his face was buried in her cleavage.

"Yes..."

Clark smirked as Diana was starting to get breathless.

As he gently laid her back down, she was smiling. The same smile he had fall in love with, the same smile he hadn't seen in the last couple of weeks. He smiled back at her before taking her lips into a lustfully kiss.

Diana's hands started to search for the buttons of his shirt. She unbuttoned them one by one while their lips never lost the connection. Clark only broke apart to toss his shirt onto the floor. He returned where he was before but this time his lips crashed into her cleavage. He softly made his way to her back and unclasped her bra. He took it off and tossed it to the floor. He smiled.

"I love you," he simple stated.

"I love you, too," she replied while her hands brought him closer to her lips.

While his tongue softly touched on her lips begging for an entrance, her hands reached for his pants and she started to unbuckle his belt, then unzipped them. Clark quickly took his jeans off, tossing it to the floor.

He then gave full attention to his Goddess. He started squeezing her breasts gently. Diana giggled. He squeezed them a little harder before taking one of them into his mouth while his other hand still massaging the other one. Diana groaned in pleasure and she pressed herself more into him.

"Kal!"she called for him but no response "KAL!" she talk a little loudly this time.

He looked at her and she took her chance to roll them over, making her being on top now. Diana suddenly had a mischievous idea. She started kissing his neck leaving a mark like he had done before. She made her way down and kissed his chest. Clark groaned in pleasure.

Diana bit her lips as she slowly removed his boxers. She smiled before grabbing his hard rock erection in her hand, slowly moving up and down.

"Mhhmm…" was all he could say.

Diana's panties were getting wetter. This was turning her on more than she'd ever thought.

"Making up for the last couple of weeks," she said with a smile.

"Lots of making up to do."

Diana slid her panties off and tossed them onto the floor. Clark watched her and reached to softly caress her face. She looked at him with desire in her eyes as Clark passed his fingers through her lips and gently kissed them before passing them to her breasts and her stomach.

"Darling, please..."

She picked his finger and put it inside of herself. She gasped and arched her back as Clark started at a slow pace. Clark's other hand and softly started to massage one of breasts. Clark could feel his breathe getting stuck in his throat. Diana could feel him pressing against her thighs. She could feel her walls getting tighter and tighter by the second as he moved his finger in and out of her.

Clark put another finger in and started to accelerate his rhythm. Diana placed her hand on top of his as he roughly squeezed her breast what made her groaned in a mix of pleasure and pain. She arched her head back in a moment of pleasure.

"Oh God … mhhm… yes!" she moaned closing her eyes.

Diana could feel her walls getting tighter around his fingers. Clark needed to hear her moaning louder beneath him. He needed to hear her scream his name in pure ecstasy. He needed her. He wanted her. He desired her. Diana opened her eyes and bit her lower lip as he continued to move his fingers in and out of her but in a slower pace.

She groaned as he pulled his fingers out. She grabbed him by his shoulders and brought his lips to hers, kissing him fiercely.

"Take...I…" she searched for words breathless. "...Gods... please..."

Although incoherent wording, Clark understood. Diana didn't have to try to say it twice. He simply smiled while looking to the beautiful smile beneath him.

He wrapped her legs around his waist and pressed his body to hers, pushing his hard, well endowed length into her hot, wet center.

He pulled out and thrust back in with much force.

"Oh…oh Gods…Kal…oh YES!" she screamed.

"God, Di…"

"Yes!" she screamed again as he slammed into her.

As he thrust into her, she could feel every inch of him slam into her, and when he pulled out his shaft would rub against her, sending electric waves of hot pleasure radiating through her body and making her moan in ecstasy. Diana's small whimpers filled the thick air.

Diana urged him to send her over the edge by raking her nails down his back, leaving angry, red gashes.

"I…Gods, Kal!"

Finally she came, her eyes rolling back and she pressed her mouth to his in a fierce kiss. Clark's hands were buried deep into her black hair, lips never letting go, only then when the need to breath becomes way too unbearable.

Clark went faster and harder inside of her as she opened her legs widener. He slipped out of her only to go back in with more strength. He could feel her walls getting tighter and tighter once again, hitting her g-spot.

As her nails scratched at his back, Clark's breath was haggard and primal as he lowered his lips to her throat, kissing her pulse and eliciting a deep moan. Their hips met again and again, and Clark grinned triumphantly against the flesh of her collarbone.

She gasped and hissed, holding his head still as his teeth grazed along the tender skin of her breast. His tongue flicked out, teasing the bud of her nipple, and Diana all but sobbed at the sensation.

Taking a deep breath, Clark slowly pulled himself from her. Diana gave a choked cry, lifting her hips to follow him. He grinned at the wanton display; only for him. Only he would ever be allowed to see her in such a state. Kissing her passionately on the lips in an attempt to subdue her for a moment, he moved his face to whisper into her ear sweet nothings. Diana let out a lust-driven groan.

He silenced her with a well-timed kiss, breaking away only after he was sure he had swallowed the swear. Entering her again with a sigh, he whispered into her cheek, "My... sweet...Goddess..."

She actually growled at this, and before he knew it, she had flipped the both of them. Her cerulean eyes shone with an emotion she would almost never vocalise before they rolled back and she shut the lids. With her moving her hips against his, it was Clark's turn to groan breathlessly at the sensation of her wrapped around him. She sat up, and for a completely different reason, Clark found his breath taken away.

"Diana," he whispered.

She gave him a sly grin as he grabbed her hips; her hands moved to cover his and she rolled her body again, getting faster and fiercer; taking him in deeper and deeper.

"You're so sexy. So beautiful."

She faltered at his words with a choke, and Clark took advantage of her second of hesitation to flip them around again. Her cries were silenced as he kissed her forcefully, and neither could think beyond the warmth that was spreading from the place they were connected. Diana broke her lips away with a cry as Clark gave a particularly forceful thrust; he followed her, wanting to hold as much of her as possible at the moment of release.

Trailing a hand down their interconnected bodies, Clark took note of the way she shuddered when his thumb grazed over her nipple and down her stomach. When his light fingers reached that sensitive bundle of nerves, it took only a few touches and husky gasp of her name to push her over the edge.

Her walls tightened around him as she cried out, her voice swallowed by his lips. Her hips kept moving under his, encouraging him to follow. This made her umpteenth orgasm finally release. They groaned each other's name in unison.

It was Diana's turn to mute him as she forced her lips over his, as he shuddered, signaling his orgasm.

As their tongues battled and they moaned in each other's mouths, they rode out the tremors. Clark's deep warm release inside her, caused her to shudder from another orgasm.

Clark kept moving inside of her until the last wave of pleasure ended. Rolling off her, breaking the connection, Clark kept his lips to her skin, while Diana let her hands run languidly over his chest.

"I love you," she said after several heavy breaths.

Clark trailed his fingers up her body, kissing her ear.

Diana smiled.

Leaning closer, he kissed her delicately, pulling away just enough to murmur, "I love you, too, Diana. So..so much."

"Kal, Darling, you said our kids? You want more than one child?" she asked innocently.

"Of course. I want us to have a big family, we've already started practicing really well," he replied with a smirk.

Diana giggled. "Kal..."

"Seriously, Di. We were both the only child. I grew up with kids from Smallville but still felt a bit isolated."

"And except Dessa, the Amazons my age didn't take too kindly to me."

"The outside world, the Olympians, other planets across the galaxy and other dimensions are still too harsh."

"But that won't stop us from moving forward and pushing for better. Not only for our children but children all around the world."

"That's right," he smiled and cupped her cheek. "Diana, I meant what I said earlier. I'm so sorry for having you feel I was in doubt. I want things to be perfect and I know they won't be, but I'm going to try my damnedest to make it happen anyway. I guess that's where my frustration came from."

"That's why I love you. So thoughtful, so determined. But just being with you is perfect to me."

He gently rubbed his thumb across her cheek.

"You know just a quick thought..."

"What's that, Beloved?"

"I don't think we will have to worry about our kids too much after all. You know, with inheriting your stubbornness..."

Diana gasped. "Who are you calling stubborn? You are already overprotective of me, our children won't have a chance to even get a centimeter off the ground learning to fly."

Clark chuckled. "I won't be that bad...I don't think."

Diana raised her brow. "We will see..." she said with a playful smirk.

"Yep, but for now...we have lots of work to do," he said before kissing her softly.

And that soft kiss soon turned into passionate, then a wildfire was set. The two lovers showed their love of each other all night long.
