Bloom Simmons

"Are you kidding me!?" Riven shouts. "Not only is our ship trashed, you girls got your magic taken away again!"

Musa steps up to her boyfriend. "Riven, this isn't anybody's fault."

"Wrong!" Stella huffs. "It's those darn Trix's fault."

"Their fault! Your fault! Our fault! It doesn't matter!" the purple haired Specialist snaps. "We're stuck on Earth, with no where to go and we have no place to stay."

"Actually," Bloom spoke up but refuses to meet anyone's eyes. "There may be one place that we could go."

Everyone looks to the redhead in confusion as she displays a timid nature. Except for Stella, whose eyes are wide open.

"No!" the Solarian nearly shouted. "Please, not there! Anywhere but there!"

"I know how you feel about my Grandma, Stella. But we don't have much of a choice."

"Stella," Flora steps up to her with the rest of the Winx and the Specialists. "If it's a roof over our heads and they're willing to feed us, we should take the offer."

Tecna nods. "It is a logical solution."

Stella looks to her friends and can feel the pressure placed on her. "Fine!" she growls before stomping her way back into the downed ship. "I need to make a quick change."

Musa rolls her eyes. "This is not the time for a wardrobe change," she comments and then sees the princess stepping out wearing long pants, a plain t-shirt, and a jacket.

"Um, Stella?" Brandon calls out. "You look good in anything, but this doesn't seem like your style."

"Trust me when I say that it's best I don't go anywhere near that place with what I usually wear. In fact," she turns to the rest of the Winx. "You girls should change as well."

The girls turn to one another to shrug before turning back to bloom and Tecna asks, "So, where does your grandma live?"

.oOo.

The group approaches a simple two-story house with no vehicles on its property.

When they reached the front steps, Bloom tested the doorknob before crouching down to the welcome mat.

"So, this is where you live with your grandmother?" Sky notes.

"Yeah," the redhead nods as she reveals a key under the mat. "Though, she technically isn't my grandmother. But she is the woman who raised me and is my legal guardian," the door opens, and she lets her friends in. "My Grandma seems to be out of the house for the moment and my Uncle should be taking a nap."

Flora whispers, "Should we be quiet then?"

Bloom just waves the question off. "Nah! He's a heavy sleeper. But fair warning, he may seem like a creep most of the time, but he's harmless," she continues into the kitchen but stops and turns back to them. "Just don't touch his stash," the redhead warns. Before her friends could question what she meant, Bloom had already walked into the kitchen.

As soon as they entered the kitchen, Bloom notes a pot of grease boiling on the stove. "She must have not planned on being gone for long."

"Hey, Bloom," Sky speaks up. "What kind of person is your grandmother?"

The question causes the redhead to bite her bottom lip as they leave the kitchen. No one pays attention to the fact that Riven stays behind to rummage through the cabinets, ignoring everyone else. "She's not a very typical woman. She doesn't think inside the box," she shakes her head. "She doesn't even think outside the box. I'm not sure how to describe how she thinks. She's not a bad person, but practices tough love. Really tough. Um, She's also a big believer in discipline and doesn't care if it's her own kids or not. I remember my great-grand cousins who had no respect for anyone. Not even their dad, but their mom thought they were angels. My grandma slapped the respect right into them."

"Sounds rather harsh," Flora worriedly looks at her roommate.

"You didn't see them. They were horrible before Made—"

A shout comes from the kitchen and everyone runs in. They are met with the sight of Riven, covered in grease, while getting pummeled with a frying pan by an old dark skinned woman.

"You break into me house! Trying to steal my stuff!" the woman shouts as she smacks Riven. "Your parents never showed your respect. I'm about to correct that!" she raises the pan over her head but stops when a certain redhaired girl steps between them.

"Madea! He's a friend!" Bloom shouts.

"Bloom?" the woman looks her up and down. "Why are you dressed like I used to when I needed extra spending money?"

"Uh," the girl looks down at her outfit. "This is what most girls my age wear in Alfea," she gestures over to her friends who were standing at the kitchen entrance.

"Mhmm," Madea judges the teenage girls' appearance. "It's a good thing they attend an all girls school. Otherwise, I'd imagine there'd be a lot of dropouts."

"Madea!" Bloom whines.

"Don't Madea me!" the old woman swings the pan around. "You bring strangers into my house! without my permission!"

"Well, you did say that I could bring some friends over whenever I come to visit," the teen smiles sheepishly.

"I didn't think your friends included a bunch of white boys!" Madea snaps. "Besides, shouldn't you be in class right now. You are not playing hooky, are you?" she accuses.

"No, we're—"

"I let you drop out of school here in town so you could attend a magic high school! Which are words that I never thought I'd say. Oh, Lord! Please help me!" she praises. "Please give me the strength to prevent me from whipping this girl so hard her cheeks are as red as her hair!"

"We're stranded!" Bloom shouts in panic. "My friends and I followed the Trix here and they stole our magic. They also damaged the Specialists' ship. So, we can't return to Magix. We needed a place to stay until the repairs are finished or we get our magic back."

Before anything else can be said, a new voice enters the room. "What is all that racket!?" an old man with a walker enters the kitchen. "How is a man supposed to—" he stops once noticing the group of teenagers. Especially the girls. "He-hello, ladies," the man turns to the woman. "Mabel. Who are all these people."

"Joe. These are your niece's friends," Madea tells him.

"Oh, uh, which niece?" Joe asks and sees his sister gesturing to Bloom. "Oh, yeah. The white one. I'm gonna watch tv," he faces the teens. "You girls wanna—"

"Joe!"

"Yeah, yeah," he turns around and leaves the kitchen. "I'm goin, I'm goin."

Madea turns to the girls of the group. "Don't you girls worry yourselves. I'll lock him in his room later. And if I have to, the basement," she looks around at all the teens. "It's gonna be a tight fit, but if y'all are willing to share we should be able to make it work," then turns to the redhead. "Bloom, go show the girls where they'll be sleeping. I'll take the boys."

"Thanks, Madea," Bloom smiles.

"Don't thank me yet," she warns and then turns to the guys. "Are any of you going to help your friend?" she gestures to the still downed purple haired specialist. At which, Brandon and Timmy help Riven up and the boys follow the old woman upstairs.

.oOo.

"Now this will be your room," Madea leads the guys to a rather small room. Most of ya will have to settle on the floor. Unless you wanna share a room with Joe," she sees the Specialists shaking their head. "That's what I thought. Now, I demand some respect and I expect to get that for as long as you're under my roof. And I hope that I don't have to emphasize this, but if I catch any of you boys alone with one of those girls, you'll find out how a dog feels after visiting a vet. Do I make myself clear?" no answer was given as the boys wearily glance at one another. "I said," her voice suddenly gets low. "Am I clear?"

The Specialists all respond with a salute, "Yes, Ma'am!"

"Good! Now, I'll need to find a way to feed ya'll. One of you want to come and help? How about you pretty boy?" hearing that all the boys point at themselves and the each other. "The one with the girlishly long hair," Madea points at Sky.

.oOo.

Sky follows Madea back to the kitchen he is then startled when the old woman turns around to reveal a large kitchen knife.

"Grab a pan," Madea tells him. "Well, what are you waiting for?" she walks over to the fridge to grab some vegetables and then goes over to the counter where a cutting board rests and starts chopping. "I don't know where I went wrong with that girl."

"Huh?" Sky sets the pot on the counter next to the woman.

"Bloom," she sighs. "I screwed up my other kids, but I thought for shore, I done right by her."

"But Bloom is just a wonderful girl, Ms. Madea."

"I know she's wonderful and I truly believe that she'll do great things," she faces the boy with the knife pointed at him. "It's you I don't understand. I grew up learning that if someone hurts you, you hurt them back. You broke Bloom's heart once before and I ain't too keen on letting it happen again. And you dated you while engaged to someone else. You should have been truthful with both girls from the beginning."

"Th-that was a mistake. I admit," Sky gulps as he finds the knife dangerously close to his throat. "But I really like Bloom. And the whole thing with being betrothed to Disaspro was set up by our parents when we were kids. I couldn't love Diaspro."

Madea glares at him just before her attention was cut by the voice of Stella.

"Uh, Madea!" the Princess of Solaria timidly walks up to the old woman. "Riven seems to need some burn cream and Bloom can't find the first aid kit in the usual place."

"Oh, it's so nice to see at least one of Bloom's friends can be respectful. Nice change from you last visit," Madea then looks the blonde up and down. "And you learned how to be a little conservative."

That causes the girl to smile. "Thanks, Madea. I try."

"I moved the first aide beneath the kitchen sink right there," the old woman gestures the said sink and Stella retrieves the kit and left the room.

"Thank you again, Madea," the girl politely bows before leaving them.

"Such a sweet girl," Madea grabs a carrot and places it on the cutting board. "She was a bit rough before seeing me whoop a troll so hard, it's eyes were on it's rear. Now, where was I. Oh yes," she turns back to Sky. "What I'm saying is that I would not have let you off so easy. If you do something to harm that child again, you'll get something worse than a face full of grease!" to emphasize her point, the woman slams the knife through the carrot, cutting it in half. "Comprende, your Ma-jes-ty?"

Sweat pours down the boy's face, "Yes, Ma'am!"

"Good!" the woman then gestures her head towards the doorway out of the kitchen. "Better get back to the others before Bloom starts wondering if she'll need to help me hide a body."

Sky took this as his chance to leave the mad woman's presence.

"Children," Madea shakes her head with a sigh. "Same in another dimension as they are in this one."

End

NOTE: I'm not very confident in the dialogue for Madea. I try my best to incorporate the Mad Woman's personality and what I believe her views may have been. It has honestly been a while since I watched a Madea movie. Probably should have put one on before writing this. Hope I did well enough.
