Bloom Odindottir 2
The Festivities were in full swing in the palace. And Where the Winx and Specialists felt out of place, none of the Asgardians seem to pay any heed to them.
However! Brandon keeps feeling that someone was watching him. One time, he looked over to the throne to see Odin glaring at the squire. It was as if the King of Asgard could see through his soul.
"Squire Brandon?" a guard walks up to him.
"Y-yes?" Brandon stutters out.
"Princess Bloom wishes to have word with you," the guard then walks away with the boy following him.
They left the main dining hall and after a few hallways, the guard faces Brandon and the guard's image shimmers and Loki is standing in his place.
Brandon goes to shout but is silenced by Loki.
"Don't bother," the mischief god smiles. "You're only seeing an illusion. I'm no longer on Asgard."
"Then why would you bother with me?"
"Simple," Loki leans in close. "I just wanted to warn you about breaking my beloved sister's heart with your simple little lies."
Sweat starts beading down the squire's head, "W-what lies?"
"I am the God of Mischief, Illusion, Trickery, and some minor misfortune," the Asgardian boasts. "There are few tongues more silver than mine." Loki has to admit that seeing this mortal squirm brings a smile to his face. "Now, I'm not going to tell Bloom as I do not wish to be the one to break her heart. Nor am I going to do anything to you. I don't have to," the god wraps an arm over Brandon's shoulders. "It's my father and Thor you'd have to worry about. My father punished people for less and Thor. Well, he's brute and will not hesitate to bring the hammer down on you," he lets the thought linger for a moment longer. "Food for thought," the man takes a step back. "Best be off. Further away from this place, the better," the light shimmers around Loki before vanishing.
Brandon soon returns to the dining hall in search of his girlfriend. He eventually finds her talking to an armored woman with a red cap.
"Bloom," the squire calls out. "Can we go somewhere private? There's something we need to talk about."

Later
Everyone has been having a great time.
Musa has never heard songs as beautiful as the ones she's heard here. Flora obtained new plants that not even her parents know about. Tecna is viewing some notes she took when asking about Asgardian technology. The Fairy from Zenith actually had a hard time getting the info at first, but after showing that she understood what they're talking about, they happily answered the curious girl's questions.
"Hey, girls," Stella walks up to them. The Solarian is now wearing a dazzling dress designed here on Asgard. Prince Sky was by her side. "How do you girls like my look?"
"You look lovely, Stella," Flora smiles as she nurses an unusual flower.
"I know, right!" she twirls. Stella then starts searching around. "Where's Bloom? I figured she'd be with everyone."
"I'm here, Stella," the Asgardian Princess says as she and Brandon approaches them. Everyone takes note that the two are leaning close, hand in hand.
Stella couldn't help but smirk. "You two seem closer than ever."
Bloom eyes Brandon. "We… had a long talk."
Sky looks between the couple before setting his yes on the Squire. "Did you…"
Brandon nods. "It's probably best you do the same."
"Well," the Prince sighs. "You're the boss," he turns to the Sun and Moon Fairy. "Stella, I—"
Before anything else was said, a group of Asgardian children comes running up to Bloom asking if she wants to play.
The redhaired princess just smiles. "Not at the moment. I'm with my friends from Magix. How about later?"
The children simply said. "Okay!" and left the group.
"I can see you're great with children," Flora tells them.
"I hope so," Bloom shrugs. "I knew most of them my entire life."
"All children needs an older role model," Tecna adds. "Nice to see that they have you."
"Thanks," the redhead laughs. "But I'm actually the youngest of them."
That causes everyone to blink at her.
"Uh, Bloom," Musa speaks up. "How old are you?"
"Sixteen. Why?"
"Because…" Stella points at the Asgardian kids. "they're all little kids. So, they'd be much younger than you."
"Hardly any of them are…" Bloom pauses as something starts to dawn on the princess. "… younger than fifty." She turns back to the children. Many of whom the girl had shared lessons with. "How… is that…" Then, Loki's words ring through her ears.
We are more alike than you think, Sister.
Suddenly, the dining hall's doors burst open. "I have returned!" a blond man with a beard announces as he raises a hammer. The man is soon tackled into hug by a familiar red haired girl.
"Thor!" the Princess had forgotten where her thoughts were going.
"Bloom!" the man gladly accepts the embrace. "It's been too long, Sister."
The two break apart and walk over to where Bloom's friends are still standing.
"You must be friends of Bloom?" Thor says as he sets his hammer on the table nearby. "Any friends of my sister are friends of mine. I am the Mighty Thor. Prince of Asgard."
"Stella," the blond fairy curtsies.
The pink haired girl then steps up. "I'm Tecna."
The fairy with dark blue hair in pigtails. "Name's Musa."
"And I'm Flora," the brown-haired girl introduces.
"Greetings, all of you," Thor then turns to the two boys. "Now, which one of you young men are courting my sister?"
Prince Sky quickly points to the squire and before Brandon could say anything, he was quickly grabbed by the Asgardian.
"So, you're the one who has captured my sister's heart?" the Prince lets out a small laugh. "I can tell that my sister truly cares for you. She often mentions you in her letters. She had even mentioned that you are training to be a warrior yourself. Come!" Thor pats him on the back, knocking the squire to the floor. "Let me take you to the arena. I want to see how skillful you are in battle," and he starts walking away."
Brandon pushes himself back up. "Okay," he then takes notice of what the Asgardian left behind. "Hey, Thor! You forgot your hammer!"
"I shall not use the hammer," Thor announced. "I want you to have a fair…" he stops once he realized the dining hall has gone silent. The Asgardian turns and his eyes widen in shock at what stands before him. The young squire with Mjolnir in hand.
"What's going on?" Brandon looks around, confused as to why all eyes are on him.
"You're holding Mjolnir," Bloom explains. "Only Thor can wield it."
"Not true, my daughter," Odin speaks as he approaches them with Frigga right behind him. "The hammer can only be wielded by those who are worthy and there are only a few who are considered as such," he stops in front of Brandon. "Such a being is a rarity. If you are worthy of the hammer. Then, perhaps I'd consider giving you my daughter's hand. That is, if it weren't for your deceitful manner that brings dishonor to my daughter's name," the king announces. "Bloom. This mortal is not who he says he is. He's—"
"Sky, Prince of Eraklyon," Bloom says before her father has a chance to.
Over with Stella, she turns to the brown-haired boy she's been dating as he slumps and looks at her with sad eyes.
Odin's face remains still. "How long have you known?"
"I only learned a short while ago," the redhaired princess admits. "He explained everything to me. Even his betrothal to another. But he admits that it was arranged by his father and that he has no love for this Diaspro. He already had plans to call the engagement off before we met," she then glares at Odin. "And you speak of deceit. What about me?"
"I haven't a clue what you are talking about."
"You glamoured me!" she snaps. Though her father's face remain unchanged, her mother's eyes tightened.
After several moments, Odin speaks. "How did you uncover the truth?"
Bloom's eyes sadly glanced over at the children from earlier. "I briefly discussed my own childhood with my friends. That got me to question everything," she looks back at Odin. "Those children over there? We attended the same lessons together. But I aged out of those same lessons long before they had. It's common knowledge that Asgardians age much slower than the mortals on Midgard. I should have noticed before, but I never did. What other explanation would there be?"
"You're as clever as Loki, with Thor's heart. Your kindness you get from your mother. I'm almost afraid to know what you have gotten from me," Odin briefly smiles. "A glamour only lasts as long as the as the one it's casted on is unaware."
"So, it's true," Bloom looks down. "I'm not your daughter. Nor an Asgardian."
"By blood? No," the All-Father tells her. "But neither was Loki. But that makes him no less my son. Is there anything you wish to know, my daughter?"
"If I'm not of Asgard, then where am I from?"
"We truly do not know," Odin admits, and then sees the sadness the young princess' eyes. "Loki brought you to me, claiming that you were found in the garden. Was not till later I learned the truth. Your brother was on Midgard, in a small city known as Gardenia. He saved you from a fire. Why? I cannot say. Perhaps he felt a form of kinship as both were seemingly abandoned."
"So, I'm a Midgardian?"
"I do not believe that is the case," the King continues. "When you were brought before me as a baby, I sensed a great deal of power within you. Thought it best to keep you close. So, I placed a glamour upon you so that you'd be none the wiser and decided to call you our daughter," he glances at his wife. "Frigga was actually ecstatic at the idea of raising a girl this time around." The woman smiles at her husband. "As you grew, I started to love you as my child. Do you remember my gift on your sixteenth?"
Bloom nods. "You gave me a blessing."
"Not once you have never questioned what that blessing was," he smiles. "That blessing was for you to become an Asgardian in more than just a title." Bloom's eyes widen at that. "It was to come into effect once you've fully matured."
The redhaired girl looks down. There are still so many questions flowing through her mind. None of them with clear answers.
"I wasn't going to remove the glamour until you were eighteen as I did not want you to feel out of place somewhere you've come to call home. After the incident with the ogre," Odin glances at Stella who flinches from the gaze. "I realized that power was not too different from hers. So, I allowed you to attend Alfea even though it was at risk of the truth being discovered. I have a child currently in our prison simply because I denied the truth to him completely. I did not wish to repeat the same mistake with you."
Bloom's face then faulters at the mention of her brother. "There's another thing Sky told me. Loki is no longer in the palace prison."
Odin sighs, "I honestly don't know why I'm surprised."
A couple nearby guards address the king. "Would you like a search party formed to find him, Your Majesty?"
"No need to bother," the All-Father tells him. "Knowing Loki, he could be anywhere in the Nine-Realms. Let us return to the celebration. We'll worry about him another time."
"As you wish, your majesty," and with that the guards left.
Odin turns back to his daughter. "Bloom, though you may not princess of Asgard by blood that makes you no less my child than your brothers. I truly hope you understand that."
The redhaired girl closes her eyes in thought. "I believe I do, Father," she replies. "But I do wish to know my true origin. Was Midgard my birth realm? Or did I come from the Magical Dimension. Perhaps I can discover something while attending Alfea," the girl's eyes widen in realization. "That is why you allowed me to leave?"
"A perceptive mind," Odin smiles. "Perhaps that's what you obtained from me. Go on, daughter," the All-Father waves her off. "Enjoy the Feast along with your friends."
'Thank you, Father," Bloom bows before taking Sky by the arm and dragging him back over to where the Winx and the Not Sky is, with Stella comforting the Not Sky. The real Sky briefly stops by Thor to hand over the hammer who happily accepts the return of his daughter.
Frigga approaches her husband. "You handled that well."
"You seemed surprised," Odin briefly smirks but it quickly fades before anyone would notice and his eye returns to his daughter. "That child is going to be amazing. Whether it's as an Asgardian, or a Fairy. Either way, I wish the best for her."
