A/n: I recently had a Twilight Marathon and it got my creative juices flowing! I hope you all enjoy and if you see any mistakes let me know!

"You okay honey?" My moms voice broke me out of my thoughts while I stared out the window as we drove to our new house.

"Hmm? Yeah sorry, just thinking about school." I spoke, worrying my bottom lip with my teeth. I was a little socially awkward with new people, though I made friends decently easily.

"I know it's gonna be hard starting out, but I'm glad we made it a few days before the school year began. Are you-are you okay though?" My mothers pretty face pulled up in worry. I looked a lot like her with my auburn hair and lightly tanned skin, though my eyes were not the same blue as hers but a hazel.

"I'm fine. I'm just glad we are here. It's gonna be good for us," I perk up. I smiled over at my mom and reached for her hand. She held it tightly and smiled back at me.

We pulled up to our new house soon after. I exited the car happily, glad to finally be able to stretch my legs out. The house was a cute little white house with blue shutters. The mover truck had already dropped off all of our stuff earlier today, so I was excited to explore the house and begin unpacking.

I giggled in excitement, grabbing my purse out of the car. "Come on Mama! Let's go, I wanna see the inside!" My mom just chuckled, pulling out the house key.

When we entered the house I looked around in awe. It was small but the kitchen was big and nice, though the living room was on the small side. Every room was filled with moving boxes, labeled in scribbly handwriting. I went upstairs and entered the hallway where there was two bedrooms, a bathroom and two closets. I went to the one I assumed would be mine and gazed around excitedly. I already had a plan of how I wanted to decorate my room.

My bed was already set up in the corner of the room near a window, facing the door and closet. I got quickly to work on unpacking my stuff. I moved to unpack my clothes first in the closet and dresser which was set near my bookshelf. I took all my shoes, which were way to many, and my ice skates out and set them neatly on the bottom shelves of my closet. Once I made it through my clothes and books, I moved to pull out my decorations and trinkets and set to decorating.

Once I was done, I was thoroughly exhausted already. I sighed as I moved to go help my mom start unpacking the necessities of the kitchen and living room. There were still many boxes to be unpacked by the time we threw in the towel, but it was enough for now.

I plopped onto the couch next to my mother and curled up against her side. She smiled and wrapped her arms around me. "Do you like it?"

"I love it! I can't wait to go find a lake or pond for me to skate on when it's winter," I said more to myself.

"I'm glad. Let's just order some takeout and chill for the rest of the night. We should watch a movie too." My mom said excitedly.

My mom got up to grab some of the takeout menus that the last owners had left in the kitchen and I moved to pick out a movie.

We spent the rest of the night eating and watching movies together before falling asleep on the couch together. The next few days was spent unpacking and settling in. We went driving around the town to see everything there, we went by the stores and school, as well as the hospital my mom was starting at on my first day of school. She was a nurse and had gotten the job at the hospital easily.

When the first day of school arrived, I fretted about trying to make sure I had everything I needed and making sure that I looked good. I dressed in a black sweater and maroon skirt over a pair of tights, matched with some black boots. The weather was rainy as usual, though I didn't mind, I loved the rain, so I got a thin long jacket to wear. I let my hair lay in its natural waves and applied a bit of makeup to accentuate my features. When I had discovered makeup, I was welcomed to a new world and began saving up all my allowances and birthday money to buy some.

"Come on honey, you don't wanna be late!" My mom called. I came down the stairs carrying my backpack and found my mom in the kitchen. She smiled at me as she handed me a lunch box and a banana for breakfast. "I'm going straight to the hospital after I drop you off and will probably be home late. Are you gonna be okay home alone?"

"Of course! I'll be fine! I'll probably be busy with homework anyways." I smiled as we got in her car. It was a little black Toyota Corolla that my mom had for a few years.

"Alright sweetie, just call me if you need anything."

When we arrived at the school, I nervously looked around at the other students. "Alright mom, bye love you!" I kissed her cheek and exited the car.

I had gone to the front office a few days before to pick up my schedule and map so I could find my classes so I went off to my first class, art. I liked art well enough, though I was no Picasso. When I entered the classroom, many of the kids there stared in curiosity. We had a seating chart and I was sat next to a girl named Alice at the back of the class.

I took my seat and glanced at the girl to my left. She was breathtakingly beautiful and I had to stop myself from letting my jaw drop. Trying to cover up my staring, I held out my hand and smiled, "Hi! I'm Karina."

Alice looked at me excitedly and clasped my hand, "I'm Alice! Are you new?"

"Yes. I just moved here from Michigan." I said pulling my hair behind my shoulder. Alice's smile dropped for a moment and she lent forward in confusion, her pretty golden eyes widening as she did so.

"Everything okay?" I smiled nervously. She looked at me shocked but it was quick, her smile returning.

"Everything's perfect, I love your perfume." She sat back up straight. It was a little strange, but she seemed so sweet and bubbly, I just brushed it off.

"Thanks. I love your outfit! I'm still trying to figure out how to dress cutely with all this rain." I peeked down at my own outfit, though I didn't think it was bad.

"Thank you. You're outfits really cute too! We should go shopping sometime!" Alice smiled brightly at me. I nodded happily. Maybe I would make some friends!

Alice and I talked intermittently throughout class and I was happy to be sat next to her. She was easy to talk too, though sometimes she would stare off into space for a moment before continuing speaking. She told me about her family and how she and her siblings were adopted, though I was hesitant to say anything other than about my mom.

"I'm sure my siblings will all love you! I think you will get along well with my brother, Jasper, especially!" The twinkle in her eye when she said that made me confused. She sounded like she knew something I didn't. I didn't comment on it though and just continued through the class chatting with her.

When class ended, Alice waved goodbye and I went in search of my next class. My next few classes were okay, though I had made a few friends like Angela and Jessica. Their friend Lauren seemed okay, she kinda was standoffish though. When lunch rolled around I sat with them and their friends Mike and Eric, who I had seen in my first class. The day was going well, though I could do without all the staring from everyone.

I looked around curiously if I could find Alice. Maybe she could come sit with us too? I wasn't sure what it was, but out off all the friends I'd made so far, I felt the most comfortable with her. I frowned when I didn't see her.

"So Karina, why'd you move to Forks?" Mike asked curiously, everyone at the table turning to look at me as well.

I bit my lip nervously, a bad habit, and shrugged. "My mom and I wanted to go somewhere new, away from where we lived so we ended up here."

"Why Forks though?" Eric chimed in.

"Well it was just a random spot we chose, I suppose," I shrugged again. My attention was caught quickly at the sight of Alice and what I assumed her siblings walking into the lunch room. They were all just as beautiful as Alice and my breath caught at the sight of them.

Alice quickly found me in the crowd and waved excitedly. I returned the gesture and smiled at her. Her other siblings looked at me in curiosity as well. One in particular stood out. He had wave honey blonde hair and matching golden eyes. He was tall and toned with matching pale skin. We made eye contact and I felt my heart race, he was ethereal. When he gave me a quick smile, I turned away, suddenly shy.

"Karina? How do you know the Cullens?" Jessica asked, noticing the interaction.

"I have a class with Alice, I've never met any of the others." I tried to stop myself from making eye contact with any of them again.

"Sure seems like it. They don't normally talk to outsiders." Eric jumped in.

"What's the big deal? Some people are more kept to themselves then others," I tilted my head in confusion.

"Well they just moved here a few years ago too, all adopted and they don't want anything to do with anyone but each other. Emmett is the big dark haired one, Jasper the blond guy, Rosalie the blonde girl, you know Alice, and Edward is the one with the dreamy hair," Jessica sighed. I looked over quickly to match the names with faces, they all were talking quietly to each other, a few of them glancing over.

"And some of them like Alice and Jasper are really weird. Like Jasper always seems like he is about to hurl. And Emmett and Rosalie are together. Like together together." Jessica continued.

"Well they're not actually related," Angela interjected.

"It's still weird," Jessica rolled her eyes. "And Edward turns down everyone so don't bother."

"Well, I really like Alice so I don't think you should call her weird. Like I said some people just like to keep to themselves, it's not fair to judge them for that." I rolled my eyes and turned to look over at the table the family sat at. I was surprised when they were already looking my way. Alice smiled brightly and the rest of them just looked curious. I tried not to stare to long again when my eyes trailed over Jasper, his lips tilting up slightly.

"I guess so new girl," Mike said awkwardly.
