And we're back with another one people!

This one is a bit special, because there's a bit of a surprise in it. You'll see what it is when you reach it.

The Spider's Web! Giga House Trap!

"-And in recent news, the recent attack by a pair of strange Digimon in Mistral is still a mystery to the police as to why those two attacked. We can only speculate, however, the commissioner did want to extend his thanks to the young people whose own Digimon helped stop this attack."

The feed was switched off as Gyro put down the remote. "As nice as it is to get appreciated, I think we can all agree this just proves what we were worried about. Nero's slowly but surely escalating things," he frowned.

"If he's already managed to make Perfects, he'll definitely move on to trying to make Ultimates eventually, and that would be VERY bad for not just us but anywhere he sends them out," Yang frowned.

"If only we could break into the Dark Ocean…but that's just not in the cards," Terriermon said.

"Doesn't mean we're going to be idle though," Lopmon frowned.

"And we haven't been," Oren spoke up. "Aside from regular maintenance, we've all made some improvements," he said.

"Which one did you finish?" Veemon asked.

"My stuff." Jaune's voice came, sounding like it went through a speaker, as they turned, seeing him decked out in some new equipment.

His armor looked mostly the same, though he had an underwater thruster pack attached to the back of his armor now, a breathing mask on his face, tubes heading to his back where an oxygen tank rested next to the thruster, and a brand new rotary spear gun in his hands.

"Now I can actually help you out underwater Gomamon." he turned to his partner, smiling behind the mask.

"I was wondering when we'd finally finish that," Gomamon chuckled.

"At least that gives us more options if we need to search for something underwater," Ruby chuckled.

"Hopefully not too often, because even with the equipment, he's no fish," Oren mused.

"I'd be worried if you actually did manage to recreate that," Jaune sweat dropped.

"Anyway, back to Nero, we should take into account Arukenimon and Mummymon too from now on. Those two were definitely stronger than the average Perfect," Gabumon spoke up.

"They're clearly major parts of Nero's forces, and considering how we're only hearing about them now, they're almost definitely something akin to Generals to him at least," Pierce mused.

"Doesn't help at this point all we know about Nero is that he's crazy AND he wants to basically take over both worlds. The problem is there isn't much more for us to work with," Pyrrha sighed.

"I REALLY don't like how we're just stuck reacting to him all the time at this point, it's a pain in the ass" Nora groaned.

"Nothing we can do right now," Salamon sighed.

"For now let's just focus on what we CAN deal with," Falcomon said. "Speaking of which, anything going on right now?"

"Doesn't look like it." Norn said from the computer… before the alarm for the Digital World started blaring and she pouted "Nero's a jerk."

"That he is." Emerald sighed, coming to see over her shoulder where the signal was coming from "Hmm… doesn't seem to be an SOS. I think this one is probably someone reporting suspicious activity, since there's no village around there."

"Okay, let's see what it is then," Gyro said as Weiss went over to the computer and quickly expanded on the location. What they found…

"...its a surprisingly normal looking house," Tentomon said.

"Not exactly," Weiss mused, before adjusting the image to reveal that the house…dwarfed everything around it.

"Wow. That's a BIG house," Ruby said, blinking.

"Yeah, a real Giga House," Gomamon snickered.

"Yeah, that's it's name." Oren said in deadpan.

Gomamon went silent at that "... wait, seriously?"

"Yeahp, it's something of a tourist attraction for that area if I remember right." Terriermon said, humming in thought.

"So something weird is going on at a Tourist Attraction?" Morphomon blinked.

"That sounds like something straight out of a horror movie," Emerald said dryly.

"It's not a LITERAL tourist attraction." Lopmon said "My brother just meant that most other Digimon like to check it out occasionally since it's a well known place."

"Oh, that's what you mean," Emerald chuckled a bit.

"Still, in light of how things have been going, its best if we assume Nero is involved with this somehow," Ren mused.

"So we split into teams again?" Wormmon checked.

"Yeahp, one team to investigate, the others to be the cavalry," Gyro nodded. "So, first: Penny, how's your control coming along?"

Penny frowned, holding up a hand as a snowflake started forming agonizingly slowly "Too slow." she summed up.

"Then you stay here with Qrow and Oscar. Ozpin should be able to give you some kind of tips." Gyro said, earning a nod from the redhead "Alright, first, Keenan, you're coming with. This is a house, so your semblance should be king here."

"Got it." Keenan nodded with a smile.

"Next up…" Gyro hummed, considering it "Ruby, Ren, Yang and Aile, you five and your partners are gonna be the main force, the rest of us will be your backup in case you need it."

"Right. Let's go!" Ruby nodded.

"It really DOES feel like something you'd expect to see as a tourist attraction," Aile mused as by now the group were already in range of the Giga House.

"Its certainly something that would be quite strange in Remnant," Hawkmon agreed with a light chuckle.

"Good thing we got flyers or this might be harder to navigate," Yang chuckled, imagining the kind of stuff that might be in there.

"It'll be safer if we stick together. In an emergency we can duck into the nearest shadow," Keenan said.

"We're counting on you then," Ruby nodded.

"And don't forget about us," Biyomon added.

"We'll be ready to fight anytime," Palmon grinned.

"And of course there's everyone else," Falcomon said with a slight chuckle even if he kept it all under his breath.

With that in agreement, the group soon entered the Giga House…through an oversized pet door. "Guess we can tell Zwei how we got to spend the day from his point of view," Yang joked as they got into the house.

"I'm sure that'll be an amusing story to tell," Biyomon laughed.

The interior of the house looked fairly normal…minus the part where everything was super sized.

"Okay, first things first, what ARE we looking for here?" Wormmon frowned.

"My guess? Anything that would look out of place. Other than the giga sized furniture," Ren mused.

"Basically any sign of tampering, or something that REALLY doesn't fit in a house." Ruby said "Stay close everyone, just in case we need to hide in the shadows real quick."

"Well, I guess we'd better start looking then," Biyomon said as they ventured deeper in. The first room they went into was the kitchen, which looked… well, like a normal kitchen really, just gigantic.

"You know… I'm curious if there's actual food in there." Falcomon said, looking at the fridge curiously as they walked around the kitchen.

"Any ideas how we should open that besides going bigger?" Ruby asked.

"I mean, we don't really need to… unless we have reason to think something's hiding in there." Palmon said, before frowning at the end. "Huh, now I AM thinking that."

"Opening it then," Yang chuckled, as she held up her Digivice, and one Evolution later, Birdramon was flying up to the handle and with a bit of effort, managed to pull the fridge open to reveal…nothing.

"...okay that's kind of a let down," Birdramon sweat dropped, seeing as the fridge was bare. No food in there whatsoever.

"Well…at least we know nothing is in here," Keenan said, using his Semblance to quickly check through the fridge.

"Alright, so nothing was in the fridge, but think there's something in the cupboards?" Wormmon asked.

"Guess we should check," Palmon said.

"This is gonna take a while," Falcomon sighed a bit seeing as there were quite a few cupboards in the kitchen.

Birdramon perked up though when she landed back on the ground "Wait… do you guys hear that?" she said, prompting the group to go silent as they started to listen carefully.

Slowly, the sound was becoming louder and more prominent, and it sounded like…

"Music?" Aile said, rather confused.

"It sounds like a flute." Ren added.

And then they heard some MORE noise, one that was a bit more… concerning.

"Hey… is it just me or do the pipes sound like they're going crazy?" Yang said in concern.

"And what's that buzzing noise?" Hawkmon added, looking around with a narrowed gaze.

The source of the sound… didn't take too long to reveal itself, as a dark swarm came out of the sink and from the vent above the oven, all in the shape of…

"Are those roaches?!" Aile said in a panic.

"Ugh, Roachmon. They give bugs a bad name, more than Kuwagamon tends to." Wormmon frowned.

Digimon Analyzer: Roachmon

Roachmon. Virus Type. An Adult Level Insect Digimon. Why is this a thing? Do we really have to go over it? It's literally JUST a cockroach, it's probably the same as a regular one, right down to surviving a nuclear blast. The only difference is probably its special attack, Dream Dust, which summons random heaps of trash from the sky… seriously, WHY?

"Ugh…seriously?" Yang gagged in distaste.

"Anyone willing to hope they're friendly?" Ren frowned.

"Considering our luck? Not really," Hawkmon groaned.

True enough, the Roachmon took to the air, and suddenly a barrage of trash was flying at them.

"Incoming!" Ruby shouted as she grabbed Palmon, and used her semblance to get away, scooping up the others on the ground too while she was at it. Up above, Yang and Birdramon were evading the projectile trash and Keenan and Falcomon had already ducked into the nearest shadow.

The barrage soon ended with everyone landing on higher ground, namely one of the nearby tables. "They didn't even hesitate there. Definitely seems like more Dark Tower Digimon then," Yang growled while checking her hair a bit to make sure no stray bits got in there. If any trash got in there, there was going to be hell to pay.

"I kinda wish I was still outside, they don't have to deal with this." Aile said, shivering a bit at all the roaches.

Meanwhile…

"You think they're doing ok in there?" Pierce asked idly as they spied from the treeline.

"They should be just fine." Pyrrha said.

Lopmon and Terriermon then both suddenly perked up a bit "Hey… anybody else hear that?" Terriermon asked as he lifted one of his ears.

"It sounds like… buzzing?" Lopmon said in confusion.

Gyro hummed, frowning a bit as he looked around with his goggles… before he stopped when he looked in the sky "You have GOT to be kidding me."

The others followed his eye sight… and instantly became worried at the veritable army of Flymon heading right for them.

"Move!" Jaune shouted as they all started making a break for the Giga House.

Back inside…

(Play Brave Heart)

"Come and get some!" Togemon roared as she punched several of the Roachmon, sending them flying.

"There's a LOT of them." Birdramon frowned, flying high and dropping several of her Meteor Wings on the enemy.

"They must have a surplus of Dark Towers that they dipped into to make all of these." Aquilamon said next to her, firing his Blast Laser down at them.

Back on the ground, several other Roachmon were sent flying, with Peckmon standing on one leg, holding one of them by the head with his other leg, letting it drop after a moment as it broke apart into black data "This is getting us nowhere right now."

"Agreed. We're getting swarmed, and it's like they're never ending." Stingmon nodded from nearby as he speared one of the fake Digimon through with his Spiking Finish.

"Let's move then people!" Ruby said from where she stood on the table "Scatter around the house!"

"I don't think that's a smart move!" Aile gasped as her weapon cut through one of the Roachmon before flying back to her.

"That's because it isn't! But if we stay together, they can focus on one target!" Ruby said, sniping another Roachmon.

"So we're stuck between two bad choices. Guess we're making the one that might not be as bad then!" Yang growled, shooting down several of the Roachmon.

"If needs be, try and make an escape! We'll try and contact each other once we're in a safe place!" Ren shouted before Stingmon came down and picked him up, the others soon doing similarly, with Togemon reverting to Palmon, right before Ruby caught her with her Semblance and soon zipped out of the room. The Roachmon saw what happened and immediately gave chase, the massive swarm breaking up into smaller swarms to try and chase them down.

(End song)

Ren frowned as they split up down a hallway, firing back at the Roachmon as Stingmon carried him "Hold on, I see a door!" Stingmon said, before flying through the first open door he saw, and kicking it closed once he was behind it, with Ren looking quickly and saw they were in a bathroom.

Stingmon eyed the crack at the bottom of the door wearily, before sighing in relief, landing down on the edge of the filled bathtub "Looks like they gave up on us." he said as he put Ren down.

"At least. Now we can try and think of a proper plan." Ren said, but before they could do anything… a large red claw came up from the water, grabbing him and pulling him underwater.

"Ren!" Stingmon shouted in worry, before diving in after his partner, uncaring of how much of a disadvantage he was putting himself in… even as he glared at several lobster looking Digimon, one of them holding Ren.

'Ebidramon… makes sense I suppose.' Stingmon thought in his mind, even as he extended his spikes.

Digimon Analyzer: Ebidramon

Ebidramon. Data Type. An Adult Level Aquatic Digimon. Though it is considered a Dramon-Type Digimon, it is less like a dragon and more like an insect with its tough shell and large pincers. That being said, this Digimon should never be taken likely, as despite appearing to simply be a lobster, it has all the power one would expect of a Dramon-Type Digimon. Special attack is Twin Neptune, swooping down on the opponent with its twin pincers.

Stingmon moved as fast as he could while underwater, striking at the Ebidramon with his spikes, doing his best to get to Ren as fast as he could. However, the Ebidramon were soon trying to swarm him, making his progress…slow at best. This in turn served to only make Stingmon even more agitated simply for the fact that Ren could only hold his breath for so long. Even so the Ebidramon were not making it easy and the one holding Ren still had a firm grip on him despite his attempts to try and get free, the water making his strikes not as strong as they normally would be.

Worse, it was clear Ren was reaching his limit for holding his breath, and with Stingmon still being swarmed, things weren't looking too good…until the drain cover suddenly popped open, causing the whole area to start shifting as water was being drained out of the tub. On top of that, from the drain a pair of figures emerged, and going straight for the Ebidramon holding Ren, rammed into it, forcing it to let go.

The moment he was free, Ren didn't waste time and immediately surfaced, gasping for air when he did. Back underwater Stingmon looked to who had helped, and saw it was Ikakumon and Jaune with his underwater gear. "Never expected my first time using this to involve us fighting in a bathtub!" Jaune managed to say, the gear designed to allow him to speak while underwater.

"At least we took the right turn. Otherwise your first fight in that might have been in the can," Ikkakumon snorted.

"Ugh…thanks for that mental image," Jaune groaned, right before Ikkakumon used his Harpoon Vulcan to hit more of the Ebidramon.

Taking full advantage of the reinforcements, Stingmon quickly started to double his efforts, taking out more and more of the Ebidramon as well, Jaune being able to destroy several of them with help from his gear which let him fight more freely underwater, on top of the harpoon gun he could use to shoot any of the Ebidramon that were trying to come at him from a distance. He even made a mod to his sword that now housed a single Dust chamber loaded with Ice Dust, which he used to freeze some of the Ebidramon, making them easy pickings.

Eventually all the Ebidramon were gone, allowing all combatants to resurface…good thing too as the water was getting kind of shallow.

"How come you're suddenly inside?" Ren asked, helping to pull Jaune up from the tub.

Jaune let out a sigh as he removed his breathing mask "Simply put? We think this place was an ambush. We got attacked by some Flymon outside and we rushed inside. Gomamon and I went in through a water pipe that was outside, and we kinda just navigated them until we got here."

"It wasn't easy." Ikkakumon said as he turned back into Gomamon, Stingmon flying him up "But we were able to follow the sounds of fighting until we found you guys at least."

"Well, I can easily believe this place to be a trap." Ren frowned "We started to hear a flute when we were in the kitchen, and we got attacked by a swarm of Roachmon."

"And of course, all the Digimon so far have been made from Dark Towers, meaning Nero definitely made them all with Arukenimon's help." Stingmon added.

"Thanks to all the info we've gathered on them, yeah, Arukenimon's definitely the one who actually changes the towers into Digimon. One of the Resistance Recon Members was able to get a picture of her using some kind of silver needle on the tower before it transformed." Jaune thought back to a picture they got a few weeks ago.

"Though, I do wonder what Nero is playing at here, since these Digimon have only been Adult level so far, and not even X variants." Ren frowned, before tensing when they heard a rattling noise coming from above, turning to see a vent on the ceiling shaking, the four of them getting ready to fight as it fell down… only to reveal Pierce and Veemon staring down at them, making them sigh in relief, before they soon flew up to meet them.

"Hey guys." Veemon grinned at them.

"Somehow we ended up in the vents when we ran in the house." Pierce chuckled "We found some Kunemon made from Dark Towers up here too, managed to delete them all."

"He can even make Child levels?" Gomamon said in shock.

"Since from our intel, a single tower makes an Adult level, he can probably make somewhere between 5 and 10 Child levels with a single tower." Stingmon mused "This is concerning… it would be easy for him to make a massive swarm and overrun a town with it… yet he hasn't done so at all."

"Well he is making them from Dark Towers. Maybe he doesn't have enough of them?" Jaune mused.

"That DOES make sense. I imagine us destroying them hasn't helped either on his supply. Even so there are still a lot of them, and he could make more, so we shouldn't relax just yet," Ren frowned.

"Let's focus on regrouping. THEN we can worry about figuring out what to do about this infestation…and deal with that flute too. I'm pretty sure that's how they're controlling the Digimon." Pierce added.

After a few sounds of agreement, they soon started making their way through the vents, hopefully to find the others sooner than later.

"Geez, these things just don't quit!" Nora shouted as several explosions went off after she fired several grenades.

Currently she and Blake were riding on Nefertimon and Pegasmon, flying through the house…and they were being rather persistently chased by a swarm that didn't give up no matter how many the group shot down during the chase.

"I hate Snimon, almost as persistent as Adam." Blake drawled in annoyance as Pegasmon dived under an attack.

Digimon Analyzer: Snimon

Snimon. Vaccine Type. An Adult Level Insect Digimon. How did we not do this one already? Snimon was created as an experimental Digimon in a facility, having been made to be a Virus Hunter, tracking down targets as if it were a precise machine. It is feared by all sorts of Digimon, thanks mostly to its unfeeling attitude, behaving like a cold-blooded killer. Special attack is Shadow Sickle, sending out blade shaped shockwaves from its sickles.

"How do we lose them?" Nefertimon said, rising up over an attack.

"We need something in between us and them so we can actually take a moment to prepare for a counter-attack." Pegasmon said with a thoughtful gaze, before noticing an open door… and someone standing at it, waving at them "Kabuterimon!"

"Over here!" he shouted, Weiss standing on his shoulder, the two rushing through the open door before Kabuterimon slammed it shut… and they heard several thuds a second later as the Snimon crashed into the door.

The flyers let out a sigh of relief as they touched down "Perfect timing Weiss." Blake said.

"Don't thank me just yet, we're technically just trapped in here with those things on the other side." Weiss said with a frown.

"Not to mention we're all split up around the house." Kabuterimon added "We scattered when we got in here to avoid getting swarmed… but now we need to do the opposite."

"And probably stop holding back too." Nora said "These things are definitely just Dark Tower Digimon, so we can just go all out, yeah? If we break the house, we can just help repair it."

"Let's not go TOO overboard now." Nefertimon said "We don't want to make the roof fall on our own heads after all."

"Hopefully everyone's doing alright." Pegasmon said, before looking up with a narrowed gaze as they all heard the flute again "And hopefully, whoever's playing that gets kicked around a bit."

"Mega Flame!" Greymon roared as he launched his attack at the enemy, a red, armored digimon that looked like a dragonfly, roasting several.

"Man there's a lot of these things." Gyro said in annoyance, slashing another one in half "What'd you say they were called again?"

"Flybeemon, it's pretty tough." Peckmon informed him, throwing several kunai along with Keenan's arrows.

Digimon Analyzer: Flybeemon

Flybeemon. Data Type. An Adult Level Insect Digimon. A rather rare Digimon, it is said to be evolved from an ancient species Digimon through unique means, and is quite powerful as well. It's very territorial, and will try to repel any enemy that enters its domain, even those of a much higher level. Special attack is Fly Spark, rapidly vibrating its wings to generate electricity before launching it at the enemy.

"It's also pretty annoying!" Hudiemon said as she kicked one of them into a group, while Emerald kept firing her weapons at them.

"We're just sitting ducks on this damn table too." the former thief said, looking around the living room they now stood in, right on the coffee table in the center of the room.

"We need to get somewhere else we can take a breather, just for a minute." Keenan agreed with her.

Gyro looked around quickly at that, still swinging his swords before looking towards the TV… and seeing it was standing on a small piece of furniture, like a tiny set of cupboards "Under the TV!" he shouted, the group making a break for it, quickly pulling one of the doors open before running inside, the door getting closed from the outside as Flybeemon rushed at them.

Greymon let out a sigh of relief "That was close." he said, turning to see… several video cassettes and DVDs in the small space they were in "... yeah, that makes sense I guess." he said after a moment.

"Ok… we need a plan of attack before we do anything." Gyro said.

"What kind of plan should we go for?" Emerald asked him.

"Maybe we should just go all out here and now?" Keenan suggested.

"No, we need some kind of signal." Gyro said, frowning as he heard the flute again, before he smirked at an idea "And I know just what that signal will be." he said as he took out his Digivice "Hey everyone, I got an idea!"

"First, who thinks they're the closest to the flute player?" Gyro's voice came from Ruby's Digivice as she, Pyrrha, Aile and their partners hid under the bed in the master bedroom.

"Not us, that's for sure." Garurumon said.

"Indeed, we're currently in hiding while recovering." Aquilamon said with a low voice, quieting himself when they heard some fluttering from outside their hiding position for a moment before it went away.

"Having to deal with gatling guns is no fun." Palmon sighed softly, glaring out at the gap beneath the bed, as flying around the room were several moth looking Digimon… with gatling guns on their lower bodies.

"Mothmon sucks." Ruby summed up with a sigh.

Digimon Analyzer: Mothmon

Mothmon. Data Type. An Adult Level Insect Digimon. Once again, a Digimon said to have evolved from an Ancient Species Digimon, this one has a rough temperament and rather aggressive habits. The phosphorus powder stored in its wings contains the components for gunpowder, and it sometimes scatters this powder to intimidate the enemy. Special attack is Morphon Gatling, firing 100 shots per second.

"There's far too many bullets for us to do anything like this." Pyrrha added with a frown.

"Well it ain't us either." came Yang's voice next from the Digivice.

"We're down in the basement, and we're… kinda in trouble." she said, standing next to Birdramon up on the rafters of the basement.

"You can say that again." Rusty muttered next to Snatchmon as the two looked down at the army of small silver insect Digimon swarming around.

"Searchmon… troublesome." Turuiemon frowned from his own spot next to Oren and Gargomon.

Digimon Analyzer: Searchmon

Searchmon. Data Type. An Adult Level Insect Digimon. Yet ANOTHER Digimon said to have evolved from an Ancient Species Digimon, how many of those are there anyway? It has rather inquisitive habits, and commonly works as a surveillance Digimon, capable of detecting enemies from a while away. Special attack is Jamming Hertz, emitting radio waves from the radome on its back that leave its target confused.

"Anyone got a REALLY big can of bug spray?" Gargomon grumbled.

"If only it could be that convenient," Oren groaned.

"I just wish they were a little less alert." Snatchmon said in annoyance.

"Suffice to say, we're in no position to do anything about the flute." Birdramon said with a sigh.

"Well, I think it's us then." Pierce spoke up next.

"We're up in the vents, and we're following the sound of the flute right now." he said, standing next to Veedramon, as Veemon had evolved to be on the safe side.

"Right, in that case, the plan is that you guys attack whoever is playing the flute and break the damn thing. Once the sound finally stops, it'll probably give us a few seconds with the Dark Tower Digimon going unresponsive, at which point we all evolve to Perfect and destroy the lot of them." Gyro explained his plan from his end, with Pierce nodding, before realizing his brother wasn't in front of him.

"Right, sounds like a good plan to me." he said, everyone else agreeing, before he put his Digivice back in its usual spot for now. It was time to turn this trap around.

With that agreed, they continued following the sound of the flute through the vents. So far there were no Dark Tower Digimon in the vents anymore, likely they were more focused on the others spread through the house. They didn't like the idea that the others were in danger, but this at least ensured that they'd be able to do their part without much if any obstacles.

The more they made progress the closer the flute could be heard. It was to the point they were now moving at a pace aimed to guarantee as much silence as possible, lest the one playing the flute was alerted to their presence. Eventually, they reached the end of the vent, and peeked out. From the looks of it it seemed like they'd found their way to the attic.

Peering out carefully, they looked around the attic… and found the source of the flute.

"Arukenimon." Veedramon frowned when he saw the familiar red hat, the disguised Digimon playing the flute, her back turned to them.

"Ok, we should focus on breaking that flute first." Jaune frowned "Too bad our sniper is too far to help."

"Yeah, and the only gun mode my weapon has is shotgun." Pierce added "I think you're gonna have to shoot it Ren."

"Looks like it." Ren said, taking a deep breath as he held up one of his pistols, steadying his aim as much as he could, making sure he was aiming at the flute, he held his breath and…

BANG-KRACK!

The music cut out immediately with a sputter as the bullet tore through the flute, breaking it in half and making Arukenimon gasp as she whirled to them "You!"

"Surprise!" Veedramon and Stingmon said as they tore through the vent, rushing towards her with Gomamon right behind them, while the Digivices of their partners started to glow.

Arukenimon barely had time to shift into her battle form as AeroVeedramon, JewelBeemon, and Zudomon struck at her, pushing her back. "Tch! I suppose it WAS too much to hope the Dark Tower Digimon would do their job," she growled before quickly countering with her spider webs.

However, AeroVeedramon was faster, and using his claws, he cut through the webs. "We didn't go through everything up till now to get caught in an obvious trap!" he snarled.

"And after that welcome, we have to return the favor," JewelBeemon added as he charged forward with his spear at the ready, stabbing it forward right as AeroVeedramon moved out of the way, creating a straight shot at Arukenimon.

The spiderwoman didn't have time to block and was met with a painful jab that sent her stumbling back, which was an opening Zudomon took full advantage of as he fired a Hammer Spark at her, hitting her dead on and sending her skidding back.

"Don't let up!" Pierce shouted as they were about to fire another round of attacks, but Arukenimon wasn't about to let them beat her so easily.

"I think not! Acid Mist!" Arukenimon growled as she fired her attack, creating a curtain of the corrosive substance which forced everyone to back off seeing as it had even melted part of the floor. The moment she had some breathing room Arukenimon quickly got into action, firing some of her webs which stuck to the ceiling before she pulled, using them to get her into the air, followed by another round of webs being fired right as she cleared her own Acid Mist.

AeroVeedramon and JewelBeemon were able to evade the attack, but Zudomon was too slow, causing him to get snared in the webs. "Okay, this stuff is just annoying." he growled as he tried to break free.

"Its going to be more than just annoying when I'm done!" Arukenimon smirked as she fired more of her webs, forcing the others to evade, not giving them room to help Zudomon, while mixing in several blasts of Acid Mist to make it even harder.

Before she could do much more however, she realized that the house was starting to get rather… loud, a very loud sound of things breaking and just general chaos… which was steadily getting louder and louder.

And then a large hole was made in the floor of the attic as MetalGreymon and Garudamon broke through it, destroying a pair of Digimon at the same time as they quickly landed on the floor, the rest of the Chosen with their partners at Perfect level quickly following after.

Arukenimon growled "Alright, you know what? Fuck this! You kids really wanna play hardball? We're gonna play hardball!" she said, jumping away, pulling out what looked like a ball made of dark, pulsating energy… and she suddenly crushed it in her hand, the energy seeping into her body as she grinned.

"Why do I suddenly have a VERY bad feeling about this?" Pierce said warily.

Arukenimon gave a dark laugh as the energy started to cover her body "Because your survival instincts work." she said, as the energy suddenly exploded around her "Arukenimon! Ultimate Evolution!"

Her body became shrouded in the energy, and the Chosen scrambled for their Digivices.

"Everyone who can, do the same!" Gyro shouted, holding his Digivice up high as it glowed brighter.

Every Digimon that could quickly evolved into Ultimate, with Keenan merging with Yatagaramon to become Ravemon, as the energy finally cleared from Arukenimon, revealing her new form.

"Jorogumon!" Her new form was human again, like her disguise, her body now wearing a white kimono with red edges, a purple obi around her waist… and four long spider legs came out of her back, black in color, the tips red, almost like dried blood, her arms and legs looking quite similar, as her fingers and toes looked more like sharp claws. Her face was mostly human… save for the fact her eyes now looked like purple gems… and there were six more of them on her forehead, her hair stark white like before, done up in a geisha style now.

Digimon Analyzer: Jorogumon

Jorogumon. Virus Type. An Ultimate Level Demon Man Digimon. Born from the data of folklore, which greatly influences her personality, she is known to lure unwitting victims with a kind demeanor into the territory she makes into her home, revealing her true colors once their guard is down. Her preferred targets seem to be males of various species, and most documented information on her seems to indicate after the victim is no more, the home is abandoned, and overrun with Dokugumon days after. Special attacks are Bewitching Web, firing webbing from her spider legs, used to both trap her targets and move herself around quickly, and Venom Nail, stabbing her sharp claws into the opponent and injecting her venom into them.

The Chosen didn't waste ANY time, immediately opening fire with all their attacks…which resulted in the combined attacks creating a plume of smoke and ruined wood…and blew a hole right through the floor…and into the wall on the lower part.

"Trigger happy are we?" Jorogumon's voice said, causing them to look up and see she'd used her webs to quickly get out of the way of the attacks. "But now its my turn! Bewitching Web!" she called out, aiming some of her legs at them which released a stream of webbing.

"Scatter!" WarGreymon quickly said as the group got out of the way, the webs quickly covering the spot where they had been a few moments ago.

"We don't know what she's capable of in this form, so nobody give her any breathing room!" Gyro barked.

"Working on that!" Yang said as they began firing their attacks at her again, but Jorogumon proved much faster in this form, using her webs to rapidly move around the attack. However, while the attacks failed to land on her, they DID start hitting the wooden beams at the roof…and blew more than a few holes through the roof and some of the wooden beams.

They didn't have time to think about that at the moment as Jorogumon wasn't content with just evading. Instead she used some webs to suddenly close the distance, going for Vikemon, her nails glowing as she readied a Venom Nail.

"Like it's gonna be that easy!" Vikemon growled before quickly shifting his position and causing the nails to bounce off the armor on him with minimal damage…right before Vikemon countereed with his own weapons, the morning stars extending and catching Jorogumon right in the gut, sending her flying back before she scrambled to regain her balance.

By the time she did, she had to use her webs to move again, as she narrowly avoided a Cocytus Breath that hit the spot she'd been in, freezing the ground solid so fast that the wood cracked and broke away. Jorogumon growled at the sight and realized that as things were she'd be at a disadvantage. With that in mind she used her webs to quickly move through the hole and into the rest of the house.

"After her!" Oren shouted as they soon gave chase, with Ravemon being the first to go, using Keenan's Semblance to bypass the floor and soon chase after Jorogumon who was aiming to use the house to her advantage. The others soon followed, chasing after Jorogumon who proceeded to spin web after web, creating something akin to an obstacle course which they either avoided or cut through. On top of that she was quick to use the furniture as well, trying to crush them using the larger furniture…which kept getting destroyed.

In turn, the group opened fire, aiming to hit her with everything they had and hopefully deprive Nero of one of his Generals. What followed was…honestly something that felt like it wouldn't be out of place in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. The Giga House was thrown into chaos as the battle went from room to room, the combatants using their attacks and the furniture and items to fight, be it trying to crush each other or grabbing makeshift weapons along the way. Naturally that caused the once fairly neat rooms to quickly get thrown into chaos, the attacks flying and destroying furniture…and blowing holes through the walls and the like.

"Hey uh… you guys think we may be wrecking the place TOO much?" Rusty asked, as he, Aile and Silphymon stood on Destromon, taking pot shots at Jorogumon rather than being in the thick of it.

"Maybe a little." Ren admitted with a wince.

"We'll help fix it up later." Gyro said "Least we can do, especially if we can take her out."

"You say that like its going to be THAT easy!" Jorogumon growled as she fired a barrage of Bewitching Webs at them, the group quick to cut them apart, but she'd used the distraction to move to a different room.

Once again the group gave chase, and this time they found that they'd ended up in the kitchen again. "Persistent!" Jorogumon growled before using her webbing to grab hold of several handles…which were inside a knife block, and pull them out, hurling them at the group.

"Gonna have to try harder than that!" Rosemon said, cracking her whip and knocking several of the knives back down, while UlforceVeedramon cut up the others with his swords.

"Let her have it!" Rapidmon shouted as they once again opened fire on her.

Jorogumon moved quickly, evading the attacks one after another, though several of the attacks came dangerously close. Even so she continued to evade, thinking furiously on how to get out of this situation. However, she didn't need to think too hard for much longer, as she evaded a Giga Blaster…which happened to be flying at her while she was in front of the stove. A GAS stove at that.

The moment everyone present registered that, they all had only one thing to say.

"Oh crap…"

True enough the attack blasted the stove, breaking through into the gas tank that was hooked up on the stove. What happened next…didn't need to be said.

Likewise, everyone was already moving to get out of there as fast as they could.

BOOM!

The whole kitchen burst LOUDLY as flames exploded from the kitchen, the next few rooms around it going up in flames as well. The fires were soon spreading through the house, completely derailing the battle.

"Put the fires out!" Gyro shouted as Jorogumon was all but forgotten to the Chosen…which was fine seeing as there was no sign of her after the explosion. Moving quickly they used a mix of cold attacks and Ice Dust to weaken the flames, before moving to a nearby window. Breaking through it, everyone got outside, before Jaune boosted Gyro's semblance, allowing him to create a tornado to serve as a vacuum, sucking out all the air from the house, and eventually choking out the flames.

"Okay…that…didn't go quite how we wanted it to go," Weiss sighed, wiping some sweat off her brow.

"Well…it could be worse," Nora sighed. The Giga House was badly damaged, but at least it was still standing. Of course, it seemed Murphy was being an asshole again today as right as she said that, a random butterfly landed on a section of the house…which promptly caved in.

"...still standing at least," Blake sighed. They knew what their next job for the next few days was gonna be at least…

A while later…

Arukenimon growled a bit as she entered Nero's base again, having indeed used the sudden explosion to allow herself to escape. When she got into the base…

"Are you okay, Mom?" came Nero's voice as he'd come out to meet her, his face one of concern with Mummymon right behind him.

"I'm fine," Arukenimon smiled. "I was able to avoid them well enough. Thanks for the concern though."

"Well of course. We're a family aren't we?" Mummymon chuckled a bit. "But on a more serious note, things going crazy aside, looks like everything works."

"Yes, the flute, or rather the soundwaves work for directing the Dark Tower Digimon. We can refine it to a more high pitched frequency that they won't be able to pick up now, so we can more easily control the Digimon at a distance with those fools none the wiser." Nero said, heading back inside, smirking a bit "And, of course…" he trailed off as Arukenimon came in… and she saw Pagumon absolutely gorging himself on a black cloud of data that was as big as a Greymon. And yes, the little Digimon was somehow starting from the top and working his way down.

"Enjoying your feast?" Arukenimon smirked a little as she watched Pagumon continue to eat.

The little Digimon paused and landed on the ground for a bit. "Yeahp, thanks for the food," Pagumon smirked. "When I get big and strong I'll beat them up for you as thanks," he said, before immediately going back to eating, the little act earning a few chuckles from everyone present, before Nero smirked darkly.

"Despite the little bumps... I do LOVE IT when a plan comes together." he said, his smirk turning into a dark grin.

And there we go!

Yeahp, we made our OWN Ultimate for Arukenimon, since we downgraded Parasimon for this story... and it really didn't fit for Arukenimon.

Basically, Jorogumon is based on data from the Jorogumo, Courtesans... and a little bit of black widow spiders too if you catch the implications in her analyzer.

Also, we figured Nero would give his mother figure an evolution that's more beautiful if she requested it, since as we show, he DOES care about her.

Nuanced villains are FUN to write.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this, because...
