Author's Note: Hey there readers. Is BaseballCapClyde. I decided to make another SYOC, but the submissions for this one were mostly discord-exclusive. Despite that, I hope for those who do not have a character in this story can enjoy the read.
For those who do not know, I was supposed to finish up the Crowstilloverse with Vinolucard Island (Which for those wanting to know will be updated at some point.) and retire completely from writing fanfiction. But I got this Christmas theme season in my head and decided to do that.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the read.

An establishing shot focused on a snowy area with a small watery lake in the background. There were also trees around in the shot with decorative lights on them. These lights consisted of red and yellow that automatically light up from time to time. A baby seal shimmied on its belly to go inside the lake. Unfortunately, the water was too cold and froze the baby seal in a cube of ice the size of itself.
"Yo!" A lovely voice called out with a bundle of excitement. The voice belonged to a young lady that appeared in front of the camera that recorded the scene. Immediately brightness showed on her face with a large warming smile.
The camera captured her beautiful face which displayed her short orange curly hair, her black eyes, black eyebrows, and freckles on her pinchable cheeks. The camera also managed to capture the shirt she wore. She had on an oversized dark blue sweater with green stripes.
"We're coming at you live from the North Pole," The young lady said loud and clear. "That's right, your eyes don't deceive you," she spoke as she raised her hands in the air. She lowered one down to point at herself with her thumb. "I'm your hostess Embarc Arbarco, Dropping the newest and hottest reality show right now."
Embarc walked through the snow on a sidewalk near a small town with wooden houses. Decorated in festive Christmas lights and snow on the roofs and chimneys. Now she was in a full body shot which presented her short brown shorts and black sandals. Her chest was pretty average, and her rear was small, but she had nice hips that accompanied her figure. Also, her height was five feet and eleven inches. She did not feel the cold sensation from the chilly temperature.
"Here's the deal, a bunch of campers has signed up to spend eight weeks right here at Santa Claus' workshop. Where they'll compete in challenges against each other," Embarc explained the show's premise as she walked until coming to a halt. "Then they have to face the judgment of their fellow campers." She put her hands on her hips. "Every certain day a team will either win a reward, doesn't get one, or watch one of their members take the chimney of shame and potentially leave the North Pole for good."
A short elf appeared walking towards Embarc wearing a red shirt with green accents, green pants with red hem accents, a matching hat, and red shoes curved in the front. The elf carried a frame with a picture of the chimney of shame. The chimney appeared to be a normal chimney made out of red blocks. What was not normal however was a portal swirled with red and white colors covering the chimney's hole.
"Thanks for the picture Fenton," Embarc expressed gratitude to the elf.
"I'm Steven," The elf responded with a gruff.
"Oh, thanks for the picture Caleb," Embarc joked then giggled cutely. The elf rolled his eyes.
Cameras filmed the inside of an igloo. A small, opened barrel had logs in it to use as fire. Embarc had her legs crossed, sitting on a stump. Around her were more stumps that could be used as seats.
"The losing team's fate will be decided here at the dramatic igloo campfire where almost every day all but one will be given a candy cane," The hostess said happily. She took out a candy cane from behind the stump she sat at and took a bite. Then she swallowed quickly. "In the end, only one will be left standing and will be awarded the gift of a lifetime."
Embarc stood up from the stump and went to a wall with a picture frame of a fit Santa Claus making a snowman in the snow. She removed the frame to reveal a green box wrapped in red ribbons on the inside of the wall.
"To survive, they have to battle…"
"Elves," Embarc began to narrate.
A bunch of elves dressed up like Steven gathered behind two others between two wooden houses. The elves watched the two in front of them punch each other in a fistfight, cheering for a knockout.
"Polar bears,"
A polar bear appeared and roared at the elves fighting. The polar bear grabbed one of them and swallowed the elf whole. The other elves screamed in fright and ran away.
"Trying not to get diabetes,"
The polar bear chased after some of the elves on four legs until crossing a large pile of delicious candy. The polar bear consumed all of it, stood on two feet, got a heart attack, and died.
"And each other," Embarc appeared back in the igloo and winked.
"Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over Santa's town and workshop," The hostess narrated again.
Two shots took place of a camera being at a location. First, the inside of Santa's workshop, and the second is one of the eyes of a snowman.
Embarc now sat on Santa's golden throne with red cushions, kicking her legs up and down. Her excitement increased to get the show started.
"Who will crumble under the pressure?" Embarc asked the viewers watching. "Find out here, right now, on North Pole Showdown!"
As the hostess exclaimed the show's name, a shot showed the entirety of Santa's town.
(Intro Plays)
Three cameras pop up from their hiding spots. One from outside the igloo ceremony, another coming out of an evergreen tree with snow on it, and the last one popped up from a toilet. The camera drone showing footage flew into a window to get out of the bathroom.
Dear Mom and Dad I'm doin' fine,
The camera drone displayed Embarc in her office with papers pasted all over the walls. The papers had pictures of the contestants on them and red arrows all around for Embarc to figure out what kind of ships the hostess could do with the cast.
You guys are on my mind.
Ketch stood next to Embarc and saw the camera drone inside her office. He poked Embarc's shoulder with a finger to let her know. The hostess tried to grab it to remove the footage, but the drone evaded her and went out a window.
You asked me what I wanted to be
The drone caught Tsu hugging his Clover Warrington body pillow in the cold snowy weather. A polar bear took the body pillow from Tsu to hug it for itself.
And now I think the answer is plain to see,
Tsu demanded the polar bear give back his body pillow, but the creature roared at him. Tsu ran away while the polar bear gave chase on two feet. Iggy laughed at Tsu's predicament from a distance. He was then pelted by a snowball at the back of his head.
I wanna be famous.
The culprit who hit Iggy was revealed to be Winter who leaned on a wall of a wooden house. She turned around with a smile and noticed Jacque observing her with his arms crossed and a suspicious look on his face. The camera drone went inside the wooden house.
I wanna live close to the sun,
Elodie showed taking baked cupcakes out of an oven and placing them onto a table. Paul and Andrea sat at the table with the former wanting to swipe cupcakes for himself despite a 'Do Not Touch' sign being next to the sweets. Andrea slapped his hand away.
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,
At the other side of the table, Tess painted some happy little trees on a piece of paper held by an easel while Nicky sat on a wooden chair to play her violin.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way
The two girls were startled by Dominic, Tony, and Brandon breaking a hole in the wall with each of them racing each other on a snowmobile. The camera drone followed them after the three made another hole in a different wall to leave the house.
I'll get there one day.
The three boys crashed into a giant pile of snow. Marco recorded them with a camera nearby while Lucien and May were each sleeping peacefully on a snow angel that someone must have made on the ground.
Cause, I wanna be famous!
Aditi observed penguins waddling next to her outside Santa's workshop with a snowman right by her. Bonnie came out of the snowman which prompted Aditi to run away from her. Bonnie frowned and Char came to pat her shoulder to make her feel better. Which got the redhead to grin.
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!
Winnabelle excitedly rode on Rudolph the red nose reindeer in the field of reindeer that was fenced. Ben and Letty watched Winnabelle making noise which caused the two to stop reading a book they each had in their hand. The former looked at the pageant disaster with annoyance while the latter dismally sighed.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
Ji-Soon displayed one of her cosplays for Santa's elves on an outdoor wooden stage. Striking poses for delight. One of the elves took a picture of her with the camera's flash on in his hand.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
Santa Claus dragged Sasha by the arm out of his fridge because she started eating his ice cream with a spoon. The contestant held onto a bowl of ice cream as the jolly man brought her outside in the snow with the rest of the cast sitting. The entire cast whistled as the song finished. The camera drone zoomed out to reveal the show's title on a wooden billboard.
(Intro Ends)
The episode started with one of the contestants laying on snow. Not a tree or building in sight. The contestant raised his back and wiped off snow from his spiky black hair. He then took a comb out of his varsity jacket to fix his hair. His varsity jacket included pockets and yellow sleeves over his black shirt. The contestant stood up to look at what is in front of him with his black eyes, more snow.
"What's going on?" Dominic, the African Canadian with dark skin wondered, standing at five feet and eleven inches. "Where is everyone?"
The rest of the contestant's outfit consisted of black jeans with a white belt and white sneakers. His body was fit and appeared he could lift quite the pounds, but nothing big like a bodybuilder.
All of a sudden Dominic heard three people screaming behind him that were closing in. The royal racer turned around and witnessed three other contestants running for their lives from a giant ice golem going after them.
"What in the…" Before Dominic could finish his sentence a contestant accidentally bumped into him, knocking each other into the snow. "You idiot, pay attention to we you're running off to!"
"Sorry dude," Brandon, an African American with black skin apologized. He looked at Dominic with his green eyes.
The two awkwardly stared at each other as the ice golem chased the other two contestants who screamed again.
"Get off me already McCallister," Dominic demanded.
Brandon chuckled cumbersomely and got off Dominic.
"Sorry again dude. By the way, how do you know my last name?" Brandon sincerely asked.
Brandon stood less tall than Dominic, being at five feet and eight inches. His muscular build displayed to be in shape as well.
"Because we were given a list of who we are competing against before heading to the North Pole," Dominic answered as he combed his hair again.
Brandon took his Los Angeles Dodgers cap out of the top of his head to touch his short black hair done in a mini afro that buzzed on the sides. He checked to see if snow stayed on his head due to the collision, but none of it was there. His hair on the top also had slight blonde highlights.
"Oh yeah, I honestly forgot about that," Brandon admitted. He put his baseball cap back on his head backward. "Come to think of it, I hardly remember anything after being on the plane to the North Pole."
"Well, I'll say you did not come that prepared," Dominic spoke, observing Brandon's outfit.
Besides the baseball cap, Brandon wore faded work boots, faded ripped jeans, a white shirt with some oil stains, and an open brown jacket.
"I got the tools to make a heater so is no biggie," Brandon assured with a confident smile.
"Tools?" Dominic smirked and then laughed. "I don't see any tools on…"
Brandon showed Dominic his toolbox that he happened to pull out of nowhere.
"You?" Dominic finished talking, confused and baffled. "How did you…"
The two boys being chased by the ice golem screamed once more.
"Ugh," Dominic groan annoyed. "Can I finish my sentences ple…"
"We got to help them out," Brandon accidentally cut Dominic out and went to aid the others.
"This is not how the fastest racer in Canada should be treated," Dominic said and went to accompany Brandon.
"Ey, I'm starting to get tired running away from this bozo," One of the contestants named Anthony said in a thick Brooklyn, New York accent to the other camper beside him as both ran away from the ice golem. "Why don't we show that son of a gun who the real boss is?" He asked his companion.
The height of this Italian American boy stayed the tallest so far out of the cast being six feet and two inches. He had a lean build with brown eyes and white skin. His jet-black hair gelled to one side perfectly, somehow not being effect by the cold climate. In fact, his outfit was not dressed up for this climate either. He wore a grey t-shirt with a pocket, black gym shorts, and white sneakers.
"Knock yourself out Anthony," Jacque, the chestnut brown skin African American accompanying him replied with a southern accent.
Jacque physique demonstrated his relatively lean and athletic build with defined muscles at five feet and ten inches. He could run faster to avoid the ice golem, but he decided to be at Anthony's pace for fun. He has short well-kept black hair with a nice taper fade on the sides and on the back. Like Anthony's, his outfit is not suited for the cold climate here. His clothes consisted of a red basketball jersey with the number one on it in white lettering on the front and back, tight-fitting ripped jeans with holes around the knees and thighs, and red Air Force Ones.
"I prefer to be called by Tony, capisce?" Anthony said, now going by his nickname Tony.
"Sure man, now how about you let the ice golem know who's in charge around here?" Jacque asked with a smirk.
"You bet I am. That thing is asking for me to have beef with it," Tony spoke and stopped running.
Jacque continued to run until stopping a fair distance away from Tony. He saw the ice golem approaching the Brooklyn boss with his dark brown eyes. He took out a red wristband and a black wristband from his pockets to put them on while whistling a country song. He also put on his diamond stud earrings.
The ice golem stood in front of Tony and roared at the contestant.
"Ey stronzo, you are messing with the wrong guy," Tony exclaimed at the ice golem.
The ice golem bent its knees and put its face close to Tony's body.
"Yeah, that's right stronzo, you keep coming after me and I'll be using your face as boxing practice with my fists," Tony threatened. He took a toothpick box out of his shirt pocket and opened it to take a toothpick out and put it in his mouth. "So back away if you know what's good for you, capisce?"
The ice golem responded by punching Tony into the snow.
"What an idiot," Jacque spoke and chuckled to himself before Brandon and Dominic arrived at him.
The ice golem turned his head to the right to see the three boys, locking its targets once again.
"Ah shit, here we go again," Jacque said with annoyance. He, Dominic, and Brandon ran away from the ice golem.
The boys were not the only ones having difficulty outrunning an ice golem in the snow. Four other contestants tried to deal with one. This group proved to be more successful thanks to one of the campers playing the violin to calm this particular ice golem, but not by much.
The camper playing the violin was none other than an American named Nicky. She stood at four feet and eight inches, being the smallest of the cast so far. Her light green eyes looked at the ice golem as she continued playing her violin. Her brown hair went down to her light tan shoulders. The hair was styled into pigtails with blue bows. She also had a skinny build to her.
"I really like your outfit. Fits the whole winter vibe this show is going for," The voice of a female contestant said to Nicky. She currently painted Nicky's outfit on thick paper held by an easel.
"Oh, th-thanks," Nicky stuttered quietly.
Nicky wore a white buttoned-down shirt with an open blue jacket, a plaid blue knee-length skirt, and white running shoes.
"Your skills on the violin are amazing. The fact you're managing to relax an ice golem demonstrates the talent and practice you have done to perfect an eloquent instrument," The camper kept on praising.
This particular camper is also an American with a lighter tan from her white skin compared to Nicky. Her light brown hair was worn in a messy bun with various stained paint splotches. Her big green, emerald eyes watched Nicky and the ice golem as she painted. She stood at five feet and four inches with a petite and lean body.
This camper's outfit consisted of a graphic t-shirt from an indie band that no one will recognize from the cast, ripped skinny jeans, brown boots, and an orange backpack on her back. Like her hair, her clothes also had painted splotches all around
"You're, you're too kind," Nicky stuttered again while smiling.
"Though I wonder how long you will keep this up. Once you get tired, I'm pretty sure the ice golem will attack us again," The contestant admitted with a smile. "Oh, I'm Tess by the way."
"I-I-I think I can get him to sleep," Nicky believed.
"Sleep? That's going to take forever," A contestant approaching the two girls said. This is Paul who stared with his blue eyes at Nicky's violin with a grin.
Paul's height showed to be the tallest of the cast so far, being six feet and six inches. His muscular body demonstrated his potential athletic and strength capabilities. His dirty blond hair was quite greased up into a pompadour. His outfit consisted of ripped sleeves red t-shirt with his band's logo, a silver spiked choker on his neck, black fingerless gloves, torn blue jeans, a brown belt with a golden dragon buckle, and red running shoes with a black dragon symbol on each outer side.
As Paul kept staring at Nicky's violin playing while trying to come up with an idea, a camper beside him a distance away stared at him. Specifically, his muscular body. This camper was skinnier than Nicky that had short curly red hair that is sort of messy. Her blue eyes locked onto Paul's biceps and triceps, imagining them flexing continuously for her delight. She wore a green skirt, green shoes, purple leggings, and a purple zipped jacket. Lastly, this Dutch girl had ivory skin while standing at five feet and eight inches.
"What we need is to tire that beast out," Paul finally came up with a plan. "And the way for that to work is for it to chase me."
"I can chase you all day," Bonnie, the contestant staring at Paul said in a creepy way.
"Starting off by stealing that violin from the little kid," Paul said while ignoring Bonnie. He ran up to Nicky.
Nicky stopped playing her violin. Annoyed by what Paul spoke.
"I am not a little kid! I'm eighteen," Nicky shouted, which caused her and Paul to stop what they are doing.
"Oh, my apologies then," Paul sincerely spoke.
"Thanks, sorry I yelled at you," Nicky apologized.
The ice golem growled at Nicky for stopping the violin playing.
"That's my cue," Paul grinned. He stole Nicky's violin and proceeded to run away.
"Hey, that's mine," Nicky frowned and decided to chase after Paul. "Ugh, he's probably going to break it," She believed as she ran.
The ice golem followed the two, trying to grab them. Tess observed this with a wide smile on her face. She felt Bonnie poking her shoulder and turned around.
"Can you draw me like one of your French girls?" Bonnie politely asked.
"Art is a freedom of expression," Tess admitted smiling, though not quite sure to roll along with this. Ultimately, she decided not to. "But I need to save the others from the ice golem." She took out a paintbrush with black paint on the tip out of nowhere and proceeded to draw a black circle on the snow.
Bonnie slowly nodded and went to follow Paul to keep checking him out.
"And here we have two loving elegant ladies preparing a sweet treat to tame the ice monster named Elodie and Andrea," Marco, a Scottish teenager from Canada said as he filmed the two other contestants preparing cupcakes with his phone.
Marco's slim slightly tan body stood at five feet and two inches with his wet wavy orange hair combed down to his neck. Like Tess, he too had green, emerald eyes. His daily outfit was an orange sweatshirt half unzipped, a white t-shirt with a black dog bone on the chest, and purple sweatpants with baggy bottoms. The pants had dog print designs on them. Lastly, his black and white headphones are around his neck.
"Marco, didn't Elodie tell you to entertain the ice golem with your camera while she and I make the cupcakes?" Andrea spoke in a soft voice as she stirred the ingredients for the cupcakes in a bowl with a spoon on top of a battery source oven. The oven was already preheated.
This elegant and classy British contestant with rosy pale skin stood at five feet with a frail and petite body. Her gorgeous stunning straight pearl blonde hair draped down to her upper back, stylized in a French braid with a white ribbon that tied it. Her icy blue eyes remained focused on the cupcake pan as she poured the batter into each cupcake liner. She wore a white long-sleeved frilly yoke blouse tucked underneath a vanilla color hoopskirt, white knee socks, and vanilla-color flats. Her feet did not freeze from the cold snow.
"Well yeah, but Lucien is taking care of that," Marco answered confidently.
The drowsy astronomer known as Lucien laid his tall and lanky body on the snow, sleeping a fair distance away from the other three contestants. His long messy blond hair done in a low ponytail went down to his midback. His attire consisted of a white turtleneck sweater underneath a gray button-down shirt which is underneath a deep purple sweater vest, which itself is under a green blazer, brown trousers, and black shoes. The perfect outfit for the cold. He also wore a crescent moon brooch on his right lapel and crescent moon earrings.
As the American continued sleeping, the ice golem wondered if he was dead or not. The ice golem bent, with his head above the blond. It used one of its big fingers to poke Lucien's pale ivory skin to see if he woke up. This became successful. Lucien opened his pale green eyes with an annoyed look at the ice golem. He rose up, standing at six feet and three inches.
Lucien slapped the ice golem's face. This angered the creature.
"I don't like being disturbed," Lucien tiredly stated.
The golem roared at Lucien who simply yawned.
"Give me another hour to fully have the energy to run away from you," Lucien said no longer annoyed. He lay on the snow and went back to sleep.
The ice golem grumbled but decided to let it be. He sat on the snow and shall wait for an hour for Lucien to get up. The ice golem checked the watch on its wrist.
Back with Marco and Andrea, the two happily waited for the cupcakes to finish in the oven.
"My chat thinks your cute," Marco told Andrea.
"Chat?" Andrea looked at him confused. "But we are chatting right now are we not?"
"Yes, but I mean the chat that I talk to on Twitch. I am a Twitch streamer," Marco explained. "Is where I film myself commentating on stuff or gaming for people to watch."
"Ah, I see," Andrea believed she understood. "May I see this chat?"
"Sure," Marco smiled and gave his phone to Andrea. "There are special chat boxes when someone donates me money. Those usually get prioritized."
"One of them says 'I want Andrea to step on me' in capital letters," Andrea read perplexed.
"Uh," Marco blushed. He took his phone back. "That's enough of reading chat for now."
As the two continued to wait, Elodie stood next to a small rectangular table made out of wood, preparing frosting for the cupcakes while mixing the frosting with liquid chemicals in her flasks.
This French contestant with light skin widely smiled at her experiment with her cyan eyes. She stood at five feet and eleven inches. Her long thin wavy brunette hair went down to her shoulders. The clothes she wore were a plain long sleeve white shirt, an orange beret, glasses, a purple skirt down to her knees, white socks up to her knees, and black heels.
"Zis will definitely get rid of ze creature," Elodie spoke in her French accent. She did a pose with her bottom hourglass body and long legs as she finished making her frosting. Which created a small skull cloud of death. It rose and disappeared. She giggled to herself quietly.
"You think we lost it?" The Turkish contestant Aditi with light olive skin and round-shaped green meadow eyes asked the group with her. The four campers hid inside a tent, sitting on the snow. "Is a good thing I have my survivor book and made a tent for us."
Aditi's height was short at five feet and two inches. Despite this, she had an impressive fit body. However, no one could see much of her fitness due to her outfit. Which involved a dark green unbuttoned black fur-lined hooded parka. Underneath that is a black long-sleeved t-shirt. The rest were dark brown slim cargo pants with a brown leather belt holding them, and dark green hiking boots. Her short chestnut brown shaggy hair reached her neck with a small cowlick on top of her head.
Aditi pulled her large dark green backpack on the ground snow towards her. She opened her backpack to take out a silver necklace that holds a platinum ring with an emerald gemstone in the center. A close-up shot displayed her hands having small cuts as she took the necklace to put it on her.
Out of the three boys with her, one decided to speak up. This volunteer showed to be Kevin who goes by Ketch. However, as soon as he opened his mouth the ice golem that chased these roared close by.
"I don't think it was ever lost to begin with," Ketch said and whimpered with fear. The Canadian put himself into a fetal position and sucked on his thumb.
Despite acting like a scaredy cat, Ketch's height was six feet and two inches. His muscular body and tallness almost took half the space of the tent for himself. His medium red hair had a swirl style in the front. A hat covered part of his hair, now looking like a cup spilling ketchup. His eyes were reddish brown, and he has tan skin. The outfit being worn is quite simple, a red suit, red trousers, and red shoes.
The other two boys did not mind the roar. One frankly could care less while the other thought to himself.
The camper who could care less sat on the left side of the tent. This is an American named Ben. He did not care for his messy black hair reaching mid-neck. He could less about what others think of his simple outfit. Which were a blue shirt, dark blue pants, and black shoes. Compared to Ketch his height is five feet and nine inches, skinny body, and has pale skin. His hazel eyes stared at the open space of the tent where he noticed the ice golem looking for him and the others.
The other boy is Japanese, having pale ivory skin sat on the right side of the tent and continued deep in his thoughts. A lean guy that had a more petite build with almost no muscles. His middle-length wavy dyed blue hair reached the bottom of his neck, with his bangs styled to not cover his forehead. His aquamarine eyes also watched the ice golem searching for them while continuing in his thoughts.
Tsu, the one being mentioned wore very formal clothing consisting of a black blazer with a white shirt underneath it, a red tie, dark blue blazer trousers, and black dressing shoes.
"I wasn't going to use but it seems we have no other option," Aditi told the three. She pulled out a stick from the tent she constructed and went out of the tent.
The boys watched Aditi make a circle around her with a stick.
"During one of my trips to Iceland, I found a book about dealing with ice golems. In which one needs to draw a circle around them for protection when one is nearby," Aditi mentioned.
"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard," Ben deadpanned.
Tsu and Ketch quickly went into the circle with Aditi. Ketch went back into the fetal position while sucking his thumb and Tsu started to get scared.
"Are you sure is a good idea to be in the open with that behemoth trying to find us?" Tsu asked Aditi worryingly. "These types of scary situations are bad for my heart." He then turns around to whisper to himself with a smile. "But the potential despair is throbbing so much at this moment."
"You're scary," Ketch whimpered.
"Nah, I'm just your average plain guy wanting to compete in a reality show," Tsu replied with a docile and gentle voice after he turned around to look at Ketch.
"I doubt this show would bring you in if you're just the average guy," Ben stated dryly.
"Baka!" Tsu insulted.
"There we go," Ben smirked.
"Guys let's not fight," Aditi pleaded kindly. "We're dealing with a ravenous creature wanting to either kill us or eat us. Ben, get in the circle with the rest of us."
"Ravenous creature? If this ice golem wanted to eat us it would have done so already while you were preparing the tent," Ben stated as he got out of the tent, but not entering the circle.
The ice golem looked toward the four contestants. It noticed Aditi, Ketch, and Tsu in the circle. It growled at them because it cannot do any harm to them. So, it focused on Ben and charged toward the analytical bookworm.
"Ben get in the circle," Aditi begged.
"You're going to be golem food dude," Ketch warned.
Ben stared at the ice golem getting closer to him.
Ignatious, who goes by Iggy ran in circles around the ice golem he encountered. He is half Filipino and half Puerto Rican from the United States. The ice golem tried to grab this proud track star, but Iggy managed to maneuver around the grabs.
"Get better aim you hollow blocks of ice," Iggy said to the ice golem with a smug look on his face.
The ice golem growled at Iggy and hit the snowy ground to send a small tidal wave of snow to the contestant. Iggy managed to jump over the small tidal wave of snow.
"I've jumped through taller hurdles than that," Iggy grinned. "For a monster, you suck at catching your prey. No wonder your species are practically extinct. Probably don't even have a brain in the first place to think straight."
The ice golem glared at Iggy for the trash talk. It looked at the boy's straight black hair tied in a high ponytail that fell to his shoulder blades. The track star's dark green eyes locked onto the ice golem's eyes. The ice golem found it hard to believe that this guy did not suffer from the cold with the outfit he is wearing. This outfit consisted of a slightly tattered black bomber jacket with a flaming phoenix design on the back that was worn half unzipped over a white jersey. Along the outfit were red running shorts and orange sneakers. The shorts allowed to show how athletic this sprinter is due to his muscular legs and core.
The ice golem smirked, and this time punched the grounded snow to make a snow tidal wave twice Iggy's height, which is five feet and six inches.
"I guess you do have a brain," Iggy admitted, now realizing that maybe insulting the creature was not the best idea.
Even though he tried to get out of the way, Iggy could not manage to speed past the snow tidal wave and got engulfed in it, covering his tanned bronze skin and body in the snow.
"Anyone have an idea to help before the ice golem eats him?" Winter asked the two next to her watching the event unfold. Winter had a cheerful voice with an ensuring delightful smile.
Like Iggy, Winter stood at five feet and six inches. Her body was lean and delicate with dark blue eyes and dark tanned skin.
This Canadian's black hair had several bangs around her. One bang went down the middle of her face. The side-swept part of her hair had on each side separate long bangs. She also got two pairs of strands on the side of her face; the first pair reached her eyes in a curvy way while the second pair which was skinnier nearly reached down to her shoulders. On the back of her hair lay her shoulder-length ponytail tied by white hair bands.
Her everyday outfit was a light blue unbuttoned coat over a v-neck grey shirt, white sweatpants, and short black boots. Lastly, she wore black rectangle-shaped glasses.
"Maybe we could befriend it?" Winnabelle, who goes by Winnie suggested quietly in a whisper.
Winnie is American, but her ethnicity is half Chinese and half Caucasian. She was the smallest of the group being at five feet. She weighed one hundred pounds with a slender fit body and fair skin. Her bleached dyed blonde hair was styled in two curly pigtails. She also had green contacts. She wore a sleeveless pastel pink, blue, and white plaid top with ends tied right below her midriff, a denim skirt, and brown knee-high cowboy boots. A tiara barrette was presented on the top of her head.
"Sounds like an excellent idea. Maybe we can even get it to help us during outside challenges in the show," Charles, who went by Char found the plan to be a good try.
This other Canadian was the tallest of the group at six feet. The big man of the squad has limestone white skin. Literally and figurately because his healthy fat body that appeared similar to Owen from Total Drama gave that vibe. His long curly hair went down a little past the neck in the form of a small ponytail. His green round eyes looked at Winter and Winnie. He wore a red and black flannel shirt buttoned up with denim pants and white sneakers.
"Befriend an ice golem? Hope it doesn't give you the cold shoulder," Winter joked. This caused Char to chuckle.
"I hope I can warm up your cold heart if you have one," Char smoothly flirted with Winter.
Winter raised an eyebrow at this with a suspicious look.
"You think I have a cold heart?" Winter asked.
"Well, do you?" Char wondered curiously.
"Of course not," Winter laughed awkwardly. "Why would I have a cold heart? I am warm and fuzzy all over like a polar bear."
"Um, polar bears are extremely dangerous," Winnie pointed out.
"So am I Winnie, so am I," Winter joked and pat the top of Winnie's head, which confused the bleached blonde girl.
"I like your sense of humor," Chad complimented Winter and winked at her.
The three stopped conversating once they heard Iggy screaming for his life. They observed the ice golem about to put the contestant in its mouth. Iggy started to write his will on a piece of paper, thinking this was the end for him.
Char, not wanting a potential friend to be lost in the creature's stomach took a rock from the snow and threw it at the ice golem's leg. The ice golem dropped Iggy into the snow and glared at Char.
"I'm okay," Iggy assured weakly.
As the ice golem approached the other three, it noticed the tiara barrette on Winnie's head. It got on its knees and bowed to the pageant disaster.
"I think it believes you're a queen," Char told Winnie.
"Way to go Winnie," Winter smiled greatly and lightly punched Winnie's shoulder. "Tell it to do something."
"Um, take us to Santa's workshop please?" Winnie kindly asked the ice golem nervously.
The ice golem opens a hand to let Winnie, Winter, and Char stand on it. The ice golem rose up and proceeded to walk to Santa's workshop.
"Wait, we're forgetting Iggy," Char told the ice golem.
The ice golem hesitantly grabbed the scrappy track star.
"Not again!" Iggy exclaimed frightened.
The ice golem put Iggy on his open hand with the others and continued walking to Santa's workshop.
"Never bring this up to anyone," Iggy told his group who simply smiled in response.
"I always dreamt of being captured by a giant monster and needing someone to rescue me," Ji-Soon said excitedly with an ice golem holding her with its hand. "Though I would have preferred a more tentacle-like creature, I'm not complaining."
This South Korean had a completed height of five feet and six inches with an A-cup bust, a decently large waist, a thin build, peach white skin, a lilac-colored diamond tattooed in the center of her forehead, and eye contacts. A green one in her left eye and a blue one in her right. She wore a cosplay for the show. This cosplay is sea elf princess one. The cosplay was the following: an intricate sea blue wig that is pulled up into two outrageous cone shapes with strands spiraling out of the tip of the cones, a chain necklace with a blue crystal, a blue gown with spaghetti-like straps, the skirt of the dress having a lighter color wave-type pattern with 'ocean foam patterning around her waist, and blue pumps.
The ice golem roared at the final three campers that have not been introduced yet.
"Somebody save me!" Ji-Swoon acted like a damsel in distress, thinking that this was part of a challenge from the show.
"Any of you have ideas?" One of the contestants asked the other two. "I have quite a few suggestions myself but I'm open to hearing from others," She said compassionately.
This camper that spoke is a Canadian named Sasha. She was the tallest female of the cast being six feet with white skin; a thin, curvy, and psychically attractive build to her. Her blue eyes radiated beauty Her gorgeous fantastical blonde hair had some curls to it while being long. She wore a purple button-up shirt with an image of a cherry blossom printed on it over the left side of her chest, tan pants that went down to her ankles with a black belt, and purple shoes.
The camper to Sasha's right looked drowsy, even more so than Lucien. May, the drowsy one that is Canadian appeared she was about to fall down and sleep. Which she did, enjoying the soft comfort of snow.
Before May fell asleep, she stood at four inches and nine feet, becoming the second shortest of the cast. She had a white skin skinny body with sweet, enchanting messy blonde hair that covered her blue eyes. Sasha and the other contestant beside her were able to see her eyes when she fell. Lastly, May had on a blue sweater, grey sweatpants, and blue shoes.
"Figures," Sasha said disappointingly after she sighed. She crossed her arms and then looked at the last competitor not revealed yet to see if this one could come up with a plan to save Ji-Soon.
"Well, we don't have ze athletic capabilities zo beat it," Letty made that clear with her slight Dutch accent as she rubbed her arm with her other hand.
Letty's appearance showed her pale ivory skin and thin frame with nothing else remarkable. Her dark brunette hair went down past her neck and stayed around her shoulders. The end of her hair was spiky, just like the top where it covered Letty's forehead. She wore a dark gray sweater, a light gray skirt, and green tennis shoes.
"My eyes are up here Letty," Sasha stated, trying to stay cheerful.
"Oh," Letty realized she was looking at the ground. Her green eyes moved up to make direct eye contact with Sasha. "Apologies. Anyway, it seems like ze ice golem has some mental capabilities a human does since it is attracted to Ji-Soon. We could convince ze creature to get a gift for her."
"And with the ice golem distracted we can make a run for it to Santa's workshop," Sasha added with a joyful smile. "Nice way using that brain of yours Letty."
"Oh, I'm glad you approve. Really glad," Letty replied back with a slight smile.
Sasha took a mental note of what Letty said. Both ladies walked up to the ice golem.
"Oh joy, the protagonists are finally here to save me from being stuck with this creature for eternity," Ji-Soon said exactly. "What kind of weapons have you brought to engage against the ice golem?"
"Our mind," Letty answered.
"Cognitive Wrath?" Ji-Soon asked with her eyes widening.
Sasha rubbed the ice golem's foot which caused the creature to look down at her.
"Now, now, I mean no harm," Sasha played innocently. "I just want you to know that in the spirit of Christmas you should get the lady you have in your hand a gift."
The ice golem nodded, thinking that is a great idea.
"Though, it will be best to give it to her as a surprise. Letty and I will keep an eye on her while you find the perfect gift. And I mean the perfect gift," Sasha made herself clear. "Understood?"
The ice golem nodded and gently brought Ji-Soon onto the snow. It then left the group of girls alone to find a gift for Ji-Soon.
"Not the way I thought you two brave knights will rescue me, but it proved superior," Ji-Soon bubbly told Sasha and Letty. "As thanks for rescuing this sea elf princess, I bestow upon you both a kiss."
"Wait what?" Letty said nervously and puzzled.
Ji-Soon kissed Sasha on the cheek and then did the same to Letty.
"Well, that was sudden," Sasha admitted, not sure how to feel about what just happened. "Did you do that because you wanted to kiss us?"
"More so on the act of rescuing me," Ji-Soon clarified joyfully. "I like to get in the zone when I cosplay. You should try it. Is really fun."
"Hmm, I'll give it some thought another time," Sasha replied calmly. "For now, we need to find Santa's workshop." She looked at Letty. "You know how to get there?"
"I… um… uh…" Letty stuttered, unsure what to say since she had no clue. Her cheeks became a bright red out of not knowing. Her legs shivered.
"I know how to get there," May spoke, standing next to the three girls.
"How long have you been awake?" Sasha asked curiously.
"Just now," May smiled. "Follow me everyone."
Ji-Soon, Sasha, and Letty watched May walk then followed along. Neither of the three had a clue where Santa's workshop is in this vast land of snow so May was their only shot at making it to safety.
Embarc stayed in Santa's room, still sitting on the jolly man's throne. She watched every group trying to deal with an ice golem or heading to the workshop with the many television screens put up on a wall.
"Our cast has been introduced and they're still currently facing their first challenge," Embarc said excitedly. "Which group will arrive at Santa's workshop first? Find out after this sponsorship."
Embarc brought a gift onto her lap and opened it. She took out a yellow box with a picture of an enchilada on it. It had a logo with the C on it with a sword through it. "This episode is partnered with Casey's homemade spicy enchiladas. A delicious meal ready to cook without needing to prepare it from scratch. All the flavors of this spicy enchilada are always together in your mouth."
A transitional clock edit displayed with Embarc now having a cooked spicy enchilada on gloves she is using to hold the food. She took a bite and happily chewed it. She then swallowed.
"You can taste the sizzling heat in each bite," Embarc told contently. That is until her whole body turned red from the spiciness like the temperature of a thermometer rising. She breathed fire all around Santa's room.
A smoke detector was activated on the ceiling of the room. Santa Claus rapidly made it inside with a fire extinguisher. The jolly man saw his room and furniture burning.
"Embarc what did you do?" Santa asked concerned.
"Sponsorship," Embarc replied, feeling ashamed for accidentally putting the room on fire.
Santa Claus looked at the fire raging.
"Looks like I need better ammo," Santa told himself. He left his workshop to get a snowball from outside. He returned to his room where Embarc proceeded to leave and be behind him.
Santa Claus blew on the snowball and created a chilly cold breeze that made the fire disappear. After that, he looked at Embarc who gave him a heartfelt smile and big eyes with her hands behind her back.
"We're going to need to talk," Santa told the hostess.
Dominic, Brandon, Jacque, and Tony continued to run from the ice golem attacking them. Jacque and Tony were neck in neck in the front and noticed a pile of junkyard scraps nearby.
"Ey yo guys, I found a place to cover," Tony told Brandon and Dominic.
"We found a place to cover," Jacque corrected.
The four boys headed towards the pile of scrap. Jacque and Tony noticed a basketball on the pile and decided to grab it at the same time. They pulled on the basketball, fighting over it. Jacque felt Tony doing a better job gripping the ball due to the Brooklyn boss' strength. So, Jacque let go of the ball with a smirk on his face. Since Tony used a lot of his strength to pull, he accidentally fell into the snow.
Jacque happily went to grab the basketball proudly and whistled to the ice golem to get the creature's attention. This worked in the sheisty dude's favor, for he threw the basketball away as far as possible. This made the ice golem want to find the ball.
"I bought some time for us," Jacque told the group. "Do any of you three have any ideas to get out of this situation?"
"With what I'm seeing here I can build us a go-kart with four seats," Brandon told the group with confidence.
"Hmm, how about a race car with extra seats McCallister?" Dominic suggested. "I am quite sufficient on race cars and their parts."
"Sure, but I'm not being the driver of a car that can go more than two hundred miles per hour," Brandon told honestly.
"Not to worry, leave that to me," Dominic grinned.
Jacque did not trust Dominic to drive at all but he himself was not going to drive that fast either.
"I'll help you two out with what I can," Jacque said as he grabbed a wrench.
"Ey I want to take a crack on making a sweet ride as well," Tony volunteered after getting out of the snow.
While those boys constructed the vehicle, Tess finished painting a giant black hole in the snow. She turned around and noticed Paul continuing to be chased by Nicky, the ice golem, and Bonnie. She whistled to Paul to let him know to run over here. Paul followed and ran towards the black hole. Tess managed to pull him away from stepping on the black hole.
"Wow you're hard to pull," Tess admitted, almost losing her balance from pulling Paul to her side.
Paul looked at the paintbrush on the snow near the artist.
"I am pretty strong," Paul told Tess with a sly grin, keeping eye contact with her.
"Cool," Tess replied contently.
With Paul distracted, Nicky grabbed her violin back with a huff. Bonnie made it to the group. She purposefully tripped to collide with Paul. Paul fell on his back with Bonnie on top of him.
"Whoops, guess I should be more careful," Bonnie told Paul with a slight smile.
"You should, I was trying to make moves on Tess," Paul told Bonnie with a whisper.
Bonnie slightly frowned and stood up. Paul stood up as well and both of them took snow off their clothes. Nicky was about to play her violin to calm the ice golem, but Tess put her hands on her instrument.
"Not you too," Nicky whined.
"You'll thank me soon," Tess said smiling.
The ice golem ran to the group and fell into the black hole abyss Tess painted. This shocked Nicky, Paul, and Bonnie.
"How… how did you do that?" Paul asked Tess.
"I painted it," Tess answered politely.
"How deep does it go?" Nicky wondered.
"That's what she said," Bonnie joked.
"I'm not sure how deep it goes," Tess answered Nicky's question honestly. "But we all should paint it white to make sure nothing else falls into it."
"Paul's tank better be full if we want to cover up this huge hole," Bonnie commented, staring at Paul's body.
"Brushes, we will be using brushes," Paul made sure.
The cupcakes in the battery oven were finished. Elodie and Andrea added the frosting the former made on top of each cupcake. Marco streamed this on his twitch channel.
"Why are there so many simps in my stream?" Marco pondered in confusion as he looked at his chat.
"Ze cupcake are ready," Elodie said excitedly and grabbed the tray. She, Andrea, and Marco went to the ice golem that sat in front of the sleeping Lucien.
The ice golem checked its watch again. After that, he noticed the three next to Lucien. Andrea presented the cupcakes on the tray. The sparkling frosting caught the ice golem's attention. The ice golem took the tray and put it in his mouth with the cupcakes to chew on them. It made a satisfying sound as the pastries went into its stomach.
"Sweet," Marco cheered as he used his phone to film the ice golem. "Now that we gave it food it likes maybe it…"
BOOM!
Whatever chemicals Elodie mixed the frosting with caused the ice golem to blow up. Pieces of the creature flew all around. The sound of the explosion caused Lucien to wake up. Andrea and Marco were horrified. The former was about to cry while the latter turned off his stream. Lucien looked at the body parts of the ice golem scattered around.
"Survival of the fittest," Lucien stated to Andrea. "It was trying to harm us it needed to be taken care of."
"If it makes you feel any better, the frosting I made was to make ze ice golem explode," Elodie told Andrea and put a hand on the angel's shoulder to comfort her.
"Well, I had no idea that would kill it. So, I guess I shouldn't be too guilty about it," Andrea said, looking through the positive. "I'll still wash my hands after this."
"I just hope I don't lose any followers on my channel for showing what happened," Marco admitted with a slight frown.
"You're better off without it," Lucien stated. "Now come on you three, let's head to Santa's workshop. I know where it is."
"You do? I hardly remember how we even got to the North Pole in the first place," Andrea became astonished by this revelation.
"Yeah, all I remember is us being in the plane," Marco added. "Do you remember what happened?" He asked Elodie.
"Uh, je ne peux pas fournircette," Elodie answered with a nervous happy smile. "Let's just follow Lucien."
Andrea and Marco were suspicious of Elodie for not answering. Or at least that is what they believed since she spoke French. Nevertheless, they did not ask more questions. Instead, they along with Elodie followed Lucien.
Aditi, Ketch, and Tsu watched from inside the drawn circle of snow at Ben and the ice golem staring down at each other. Aditi and Ketch felt like not watching what will happen next but could not look away. Tsu on the other hand watched for the thrill.
Ben took out a book and opened it in front of the ice golem. "Read you fool, read!"
The ice golem's eyes widened at seeing words in the book. The fear of reading words was too much for this creature. It panicked and screamed, putting its hands on its ears. The golem continued to scream as it melted. Ben then closed his book once the ice golem became a pool of frozen water.
Ketch got out of the circle and decided to speak up first. "How did you…"
"You're not the only one that read on ice golems," Ben told Aditi with a snark without turning around.
"Well then I'm sure you know how we get to Santa's workshop," Tsu said, pretending to be nice.
"How am I supposed to know that?" Ben wondered then rolled his eyes. "There are books that give different locations to Santa's workshop. How am I supposed to know which one is correct?"
Aditi got out of the circle and noticed a rock with moss on one of its sides covered a bit by the snow. "Santa's workshop is that way!" She pointed towards the right.
"How do you know that?" Ketch asked.
"Moss always points to civilization," Aditi happily answered Ketch's question.
"I suppose you're also going to drive a big rock to get us there," Ben quipped then turned around. He noticed Aditi was no longer with Ketch or Tsu.
Ketch and Tsu noticed this as well.
"Where did she go? Ketch asked.
"Are you going to keep doing questions?" Tsu wondered, getting a bit peeved.
"I don't know, will I?" Ketch questioned and joked.
Aditi arrived driving a gigantic rock.
"Get on board boys," Aditi told her group. She patted the rock. "Every seat is warm."
"I wonder if I could sit on her warm seat," Tsu said quietly to himself in a perverted way.
"You have issues dude," Ben dryly spoke to the cosplayer.
"How can you even hear me I'm seven feet away from you," Tsu demanded to know.
"Meh, I just have good hearing," Ben replied and shrugged.
"Come on you two we need to get going," Ketch told the two. He already was sitting next to Aditi on top of the rock.
"Can you help us get up there?" Tsu kindly asked Ketch.
"Sure," Ketch nodded and slid down the rock to be on the ground. He then threw Tsu and Ben up high. Both boys managed to sit on the rock.
Ketch climbed up and sat next to Aditi again. Aditi drove the group to Santa's workshop.
Embarc, standing outside the entrance doors of Santa's workshop used binoculars to see an ice golem bringing Char, Winter, Winnabelle, and Iggy. The doors and fence behind her were made out of wood, large and long with Christmas lights all over.
"Looks like we have the first group arriving," Embarc announced after putting down her binoculars.
The ice golem brought the hand he took the four campers for a ride down onto the snow. Each camper got out of the hand. Winnabelle turned around to look at the ice golem.
"Thanks for the ride," Winnie told the ice golem with a wave.
The ice golem bowed to Winnie one last time before heading back to who knows where.
"Nice to know that mystical creatures also enjoy this queen," Winnie told the group, feeling proud.
"Don't stand too long on the high horse," Winter advised cheerfully.
"Oh, I've fallen off horses plenty of times," Winnie said casually.
"Not what she meant," Char told Winnie.
Iggy decided to run to Embarc. He turned around and proudly laughed at the three with a smug on his face. "Hah, looks like I made it first here. I won the challenge. If this is a challenge. This is a challenge, right?" He asked the hostess.
"Yep, this was everyone's first challenge," Embarc confirmed joyfully.
"Awesome," Iggy cheered triumphantly.
"However, this is a group challenge Iggy," Embarc told the camper next to her. "Which means Char, Winnie, and Winter also won the challenge."
Each camper mentioned by Embarc had a quick camera shot taken of them to identify who they are. Winter, Char, and Winnie cheered happily.
"The four of you get two special awards. One will be revealed another time, but the first reward is having cookies and milk that were made by the one and only Mrs. Claus," Embarc informed.
The winning group was satisfied with this.
"After saving the sea elf princess, the heroic ladies travel amongst the chilly weather in search of Santa's Workshop," Ji-Soon spoke excitedly as she, Sasha, and Letty follow May through the snow.
"Ji-Soon, what are you doing?" Sasha wondered.
"Oh, I'm simply telling the story of us traveling. I've watched and read various Isekai for some cosplays I've done," Ji-Soon answered joyfully. "Thought it would be fun to narrate our quest."
"You must have a big imagination zen," Letty said, trying to get into the conversation.
"I just like having a good time," Ji-Soon smiled at Letty. "I would wear my snow princess cosplay but is in my luggage. Which was in the plane. Do any of you remember what happened to us in the plane coming here?"
"I wish I knew," Letty answered, looking more at the snowy trees than the girls.
"Considering May knows the way to the North Pole she must know what happened to us," Sasha spoke. She walked up to May to conversate with the other blonde. "Say May, do…"
"Yeah, I do know what happened on the plane," May interrupted without trying to be rude. "We were…" She fell onto the snow and slept again.
Sasha stopped walking. She put her hands together and took a deep breath.
"We're going to die here in the cold. We are literally going to freeze to death," Sasha told the two girls awake in a pessimistic way. She crossed her arms again. "Why did I sign up for this show again?"
"We can cuddle to get our bodies warm until May wakes up again," Ji-Soon suggested cheerfully. "Plenty of animals warm up against each other during the cold."
Ji-Soon went to hug Letty tightly.
"Are you feeling warm now?" Ji-Soon kindly asked.
"I… um, please get off me," Letty replied nervously. She pushed Ji-Soon away gently.
"Oh, I'm sorry, just thought it would be a good idea," Ji-Soon apologized sincerely with a smile. "Oh, I know, we can talk about ourselves to pass the time until May wakes up."
"I rather not talk about myself," Letty admitted, starting to feel a bit uneasy around Ji-soon.
"Come on, is good to talk about ourselves," Ji-Soon insisted. "Get to know each other better. We might be teammates."
"Again, rather not," Letty denied and backed away from Ji-Soon.
"Did I do something wrong?" Ji-Soon asked Letty, noticing the virtuoso staying a distance away from her.
"Don't worry about that," Sasha assured as she approached the cosplayer. "I would love for us to get to know each other. Tell me all the kinds of cosplays you've put on."
Ji-Soon squealed and took out her phone from her wig. She started typing her password to use her phone.
"You think we can survive?" Sasha asked Letty, doubting her companion can provide a solution.
"Well, I doubt Embarc and the producers of the show will let some of their contestants die in the cold. There is a possibility of them sending a search team for us," Letty answered as helpfully as she could. "We can wake up May but getting her to stay awake throughout the walk can be more challenging than letting her rest for enough energy."
Sasha smirked a bit, impressed.
"Well done, you managed to cheer me up somewhat," Sasha said to Letty as she stopped crossing her arms.
Letty slightly smiled and gave a thumbs up to Sasha. Ji-Soon put her arm around Sasha to let her companion know she is ready to talk about her cosplays.
Dominic, Tony, Jacque, and Brandon finished making the race car. The race car resembled an open seater Formula One. There were some modifications. For instance, the race car is much larger and had eight seats instead of four. Also, four big tires on the back. Two on each side. The same went with the front of the vehicle except those were smaller since it is an open seater.
"Excellent work everyone," Dominic congratulated the group. "This vehicle will allow us a guaranteed victory to outspeed that ice golem."
"Hopefully we pick up some chicks along the way," Tony told the group with a smirk on his face.
"I wouldn't mind," Jacque admitted with a slight smile.
"So that's why you insisted on us making more seats," Brandon realized before telling Dominic. "You said it was to help campers we see traveling by foot along the way."
"That is correct McCallister. The intention is to rescue people. And if they are women, even better," Dominic replied gleefully.
The boys hear the roar coming from the ice golem. Meaning it no longer was entertained by the basketball and has come for them once again.
"I call shotgun," Jacque told the group and got in the front passenger seat of the race car.
Tony and Brandon both sat in one backseat while Dominic went to sit in the driver's seat. He turned on the vehicle with a key.
"Fasten your seatbelts everyone," Brandon told the group as he put on a seatbelt.
Once the rest of the group put on their seatbelt, Dominic adjusted the left mirror from the race car.
"Hmm, objects in mirror are closer than they appear," Dominic read the words on the mirror. He saw in the mirror the ice golem sticking out its hand to grab the vehicle.
Dominic shifted the gear selector in drive and put his foot on the pedal of the vehicle to accelerate. The boys managed to avoid the ice golem grabbing them. They quickly realized how fast they were going. Dominic did not mind at all since he stepped on the acceleration pedal.
"Dominic! We're going too fast!" Brandon exclaimed, clenching the seat with his hands.
"That's the idea McCallister," Dominic replied with thrilling excitement.
Tony looked behind him and saw the ice golem gaining speed toward the group.
"Ey, since when was freezy pop speedy?" Tony asked Jacque, jabbing a thumb behind him.
Jacque glanced behind him. The ice golem got closer. This frightened the two boys.
"Yo Dominic, we're in a big situation here," Jacque warned his companion.
"If I accelerate more, I'll lose control of the vehicle," Dominic replied.
"Ey look, I see a hill up ahead," Tony said and pointed at the snowy hill nearby that looked like a ramp that led back.
Dominic grinned and gripped the steering wheel tightly.
"Dominic?" Brandon noticed the royal racer's expression. "What are you…"
Dominic drifted to the hill ramp. The other boys held onto their seats as the race car turned. Dominic paused for a moment the race car and then accelerated again, driving up the hill ramp.
The ice golem ran towards the ramp and opened its mouth to gobble the boys when they fly off towards it. Brandon and Tony screamed for their lives while Dominic stuck out his tongue to the side with excitement. Jacque grinned with eagerness.
The ice golem closed its mouth once the boys enter it after flying towards it. Unfortunately for the ice golem, the race car kept going and broke the back of its head. It left a huge circle. Dominic put his foot deep on the brakes as he lands the race car onto the snow. After several jumps from the vehicle, Dominic managed to have it safely land. The boys turned a bit to see the massive hole in the back of the ice golem's head.
The ice golem's head shattered into pieces like glass. The headless creature's body fell to the ground.
"Did we just smash its head?" Brandon asked the boys with astonishment.
All the boys nodded as shocked as Brandon. Dominic and Tony were the first to snap out of their surprise.
"Awesome!" Dominic and Tony exclaimed ecstatically at the same time. They high-fived each other.
"Alright men let's head to Santa's workshop," Dominic told the group. They all faced the front.
"You all don't mind if I play music on the radio?" Jacque rhetorically asked, stretching his arm a bit.
"You better not play trash," Tony hoped with a slide glance.
"Guys, we never installed a radio for the race car," Brandon pointed out.
A moment of silence came upon them.
"Well gentlemen, you three better start singing. Is going to be a long ride," Dominic advised and put his foot on the acceleration peddle.
The racer car zoomed fast throughout the snowy road.
Tess, Bonnie, Paul, and Nicky finished painting the black hole white. Nicky touched the paint, her fingers feeling more snow than paint.
"What kind of paintbrushes do you have?" Nicky asked Tess as she handed the artist's paintbrush she was lent.
"They're just ordinary paintbrushes," Tess answered cheerfully. She went to take the paintbrush she lent Bonnie.
"Ordinary paintbrushes don't create holes in the ground or turn things back to snow," Bonnie pointed out. "Now, since we have no way in finding Santa's workshop, I suggest we snuggle together to keep ourselves warm until we are rescued." She slightly smiled at Paul. "You can be on top of me. I don't mind being bottom."
Paul looked at Tess with a pout, ignoring the redhead.
"Can I keep the paintbrush you gave me?" Paul asked kindly.
"Sure, I have plenty of brushes on me," Tess replied joyfully. "We can even do art together sometimes."
"That will be great," Paul smirked.
Bonnie had a feeling there is no shot with him, but that is not going to stop her.
"Now, let's head to the entrance of Santa's workshop," Tess told the group. She painted a door out of thin air like a cartoon. She twisted the knob and opened the door to reveal Embarc on the other side.
"Hey group!" Embarc waved at the four contestants.
Nicky and Bonnie looked at Tess with a frown. Paul felt confused.
"Are, are you serious? You could have done this since the beginning?" Nicky spoke with sadness.
"Yep," Tess confirmed with her continuous cheery mood. "But I thought it would be exciting having to deal with an ice golem for fun for a while. You three were having fun running and screaming."
Nicky and Bonnie looked disappointed in Tess.
"Might want to reconsider who you want to tap," Bonnie whispered to Paul, but because of the blond's height, she had to look up without earshot. "Here's a hint, her name starts with B and ends with E."
"Nah, I like the crazy chicks," Paul told Bonnie, no longer annoyed. This made the redhead slightly frown.
The group entered the door and made their way to the entrance sight of Santa's workshop.
"Paul, Nicky, Bonnie, and Tess. Congrats on you four arriving here second of the challenge," Embarc commended joyfully.
"Second place? Who came first?" Tess wondered.
"Char, Iggy, Winter, and Winnie," Embarc answered happily. "They are now eating cookies and milk made by Mrs. Claus in the dining area."
"I would have liked drinking Mrs. Claus' milk," Bonnie sadly said.
"What do we eat then?" Paul asked Embarc.
"Second placers get chicken noodle soup," Embarc informed brightly. "And no, this was not made by Mrs. Claus."
"A-at least is something warm," Nicky tried to brighten the mood.
Lucien yawned and began to feel drowsy. He stopped walking and got on one knee. Andrea, Marco, and Elodie went to check on him. The ladies got on one knee and each touched one of Lucien's shoulders.
"You feel okay dude?" Marco asked concerned.
"Getting drained," Lucien answered, trying not to blink. "At the pace we're going we won't be able to make it to Santa's workshop before night."
"Well, look on the bright side. We might get to see an aurora borealis," Marco said positively. "My chat would definitely like to see that. What about you Andrea?"
"It would be quite the experience to see the wondering lights that were created for this Earth," Andrea also wanted to see, but she had her worries. "Though I rather not risk the chance of getting eaten by animals without having any means of survival. We would have not survived the ice golem encounter if it wasn't for Lucien and Elodie."
"Maybe I could create an explosion zat send us to Santa's city," Elodie offered.
"It would have to be a big explosion then. Or something like a mine," Lucien gave a suggestion.
"Wouldn't we just explode when the mine goes off?" Marco pointed out.
"Ze contestants on ze show have been ssough worse," Elodie countered.
"I'll make sure we don't suffer any big injuries," Andrea told the group. She put her hands together and started to pray.
"No pressure Elodie but we need you to create something before I fall asleep," Lucien told the pastry girl.
"Yeah, no pressure at all," Marco joked.
"I did bake an exploding pie in the stove just in case the cupcakes didn't work," Elodie told the group. She took out her beret from the top of her head to reveal the apple pie.
"You put explosives in the pie too?" Andrea asked and frowned after she finished her quick prayer.
"Always have a plan b," Elodie smiled at her companion. "Now everyone, get behind me."
Elodie's group did as they were told. She pastry girl threw the pie onto the snow, creating a huge rapid explosion that send the group flying. Elodie screamed with excitement. Lucien fell asleep. Andrea remained calm. Lastly, Marco smiled at the subscription increase from his channel as he looked at his phone.
Ketch, Tsu, Ben, and Aditi noticed they were arriving at the front doors of Santa's workshop. Aditi parked the giant rock in front of Embarc who smiled with glee.
"Tsu, Ben, Ketch, and Aditi," Embarc named each contestant one by one they slid down the rock and landed on the snow. "Congrats on being the third group here to make it to Santa's workshop. You're prize, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches for your troubles."
"Does it come with ketchup?" Ketch asked politely.
"Is just ham and cheese," Embarc confirmed once again nicely.
"Can I put ketchup on the sandwich?" Ketch wondered.
"Knock yourself out," Embarc chimed. "Just ask one of the gnomes serving you for it."
Without turning around, Embarc opened one of the doors with her hand. Ketch quickly went inside.
"Hey Embarc, did you know about the ice golem around this area?" Aditi asked curiously.
"Oh, those? Yeah, it was part of the challenge. Avoid them and come here," Embarc informed.
"Wait, really? I thought the plane was crashing and we had to use parachutes and… now that I think about how we ended up in the snow?" Tsu questioned.
Ben looked at Embarc suspiciously.
"Now, now, I will explain what happened on the plane when all the contestants are eating at the dining hall," Embarc said to the three campers. "Now go ahead and dine with the others."
Ben, Aditi, and Tsu wanted to know what truly happened, but they decided to listen to the hostess and entered the workshop.
"And this is me cosplaying as the pirate Robin Nico from Two Piece," Ji-Soon showed Sasha another cosplay picture she had on her phone. "Frankly, I find Two Piece to be not worth the watch since you have to watch over a thousand episodes if you haven't kept up with it. But I scored big bucks winning a competition with this cosplay."
"It's a bit revealing," Sasha told Ji-Soon, starting to feel bored.
The cosplay Ji-Soon showed Sasha had her in a long black wig, black eye contacts, and a red crop top jacket that had a flower pattern on its left. The jacket's zipper was opened a bit, exposing a bit of her chest. A green wrap skirt with blue on the sides. The wrap skirt was also tied to the side which exposed a leg. Lastly for the cosplay, black bikini bottom, and pink heels.
"Some cosplays are going to be like that," Ji-Soon told Sasha happily. "I know several characters you can cosplay as. Tell me, do you know who Starfire is?"
Sasha gave Ji-Soon an annoyed glance. She then looked at Letty with a pleading face on needing assistance.
"Ji-Soon, how about you let Sasha talk about herself now? Didn't you want to get to know her more?" Letty reminded.
"Oh yeah, go ahead Sasha. First, I got to know what kind of food you eat," Ji-Soon anticipated with eagerness.
Before Sasha can talk about herself, the girls minus May heard honking coming from a vehicle in the distance. Sasha, Ji-Soon, and Letty turned to their left to see Dominic and the boys in the eight-opening-seat race car. Dominic drove slower than before. Most likely because he and the boys saw four beautiful women in the open. Dominic parked the race car.
"You ladies need a lift?" Tony asked with a sly smile, already knowing the answer.
Brandon waved at the girls with a smile on his face while Jacque and Dominic smirked.
"Hooray, more people to talk to," Ji-Soon clapped and cheered.
May woke up from her slumber.
"Huh? Did we make it to Santa's workshop?" May asked the girls.
"Not yet, we're getting a ride," Sasha told the daydreamer.
Jacque opened the front passenger's door to greet the girls formally. This gave Dominic an idea.
"Oh Conroy," Dominic called to Sasha. "I saved you a seat." He used his right foot to push Jacque out of the front passenger's seat.
Jacque grunted and groaned from this maneuver.
"Why thank you kindly Dominic," Sasha softly smiled as she walked close. "Excuse me Jacque," She told the boy on the ground and made her way to sit on the passenger's seat.
Tony silently glared at Dominic. Not because of what he did to Jacque. More on not letting him have a chance for Sasha to sit next to him.
Letty quietly sat next to Brandon. The mechanic showed his hand for the virtuoso to shake it. Letty shook Brandon's hand with a small smile.
May walked slowly and sat next to Tony. Due to her drowsiness, she rested her head on Tony's shoulder and started sleeping peacefully.
"This ain't so bad," Tony admitted.
Tony's happiness became ruined when he heard May snoring.
Ji-Soon got Jacque up.
"Sweet, I get to sit next to you," Ji-Soon smiled at the shiesty dude. "I can't wait for you to tell me about what you do for a living."
Jacque kept a poker face as he took Ji-Soon by the hand. "Allow me to sit you down," He spoke with his southern charm.
"Oh my, why thank you," Ji-Soon expressed gratitude and chuckled.
Once Jacque sat Ji-Soon on a seat he sat next to her, everyone put on their seatbelt.
"I shall warn you Conroy, I go pretty fast," Dominic told Sasha with a nifty smile.
"Just drive Dominic," Sasha replied while smiling, though she clearly was not in the mood for the racer's flirting.
"Better luck next time dude," Brandon joked to Dominic.
"Is alright," Dominic assured. He put the race car in drive, put his foot on the acceleration pedal, and drove to Santa's workshop.
"Do we know where we are going?" Ji-Soon asked the boys.
"I installed a GPS to the race car," Brandon answered.
"Was able to install a GPS but not a radio," Jacque complained.
"I bet the only radio station that works is in Santa's workshop. Which probably has Christmas songs twenty-four seven," Tony believed.
"I don't mind those songs. This show is dedicated to that holiday," Jacque replied, looking at the snow.
The three groups that finished the challenge were eating their meal at a wooden table in the dining hall in Santa's workshop. The area was all wood. The three groups stopped eating when they heard a crash coming from the ceiling. They looked at the hole in the ceiling that was made. Then gazed down to see Andrea, Marco, Elodie, and Lucien on top of broken wood. These four groaned in pain. An elf nearby saw this and left the dining room.
Embarc heard a knock on the entrance doors behind her. She turned around and opened the door. She looked down to see the elf from the dining hall; signaling her to get in earshot. The hostess bent down on her knees. The elf whispered into her ear.
"Oh, they crashed into the dining hall. Thanks for letting me know," Embarc said to the elf and gave him a candy cane as a token of gratitude.
The elf left. Embarc turned around as she heard a race car running. She smiled at the last two groups heading her way.
"And the final two groups are about to arrive at Santa's workshop," Embarc told the audience. "But only the first four can…" She noticed Dominic was not stopping. Her eyes widened and she quickly jumped out of the way before the race car could crash into her.
The race car crashed into the doors. No dent was made on these doors.
"Apologies, the brakes stopped working," Dominic told Embarc.
"Everyone alright?" Brandon asked concerned.
"I'm just peachy," Tony answered slightly happy while May still rested on his shoulder.
"I'm fine, thanks for asking," Letty told Brandon with a smile.
Ji-Soon adjusted her wig. She then gave a thumbs-up to Brandon.
"It could have been worse and I'm thankful it wasn't," Jacque commented.
"Same," Sasha agreed.
As Embarc stood up and wiped the snow away on her, the eight contestants got out of the vehicle. With Tony dragging May.
"Congrats on being the last groups to complete the challenge," Embarc said brightly.
"Challenge? Avoiding an ice golem and surviving in this freezing cold weather to get here was a challenge?" Jacque spoke, baffled by this reveal.
"Well, I did make sure I provided you all a way to come here. Who do you think set up that pile of car pieces?" Embarc responded gleefully.
"And what about us?" Sasha questioned. "You didn't give us scrap to make a vehicle."
"One, you four girls wouldn't have known to build it. Two, you four are capable of outmaneuvering an ice golem. Which was successful. Three, May knows where Santa's workshop is," Embarc answered nicely. "I made sure every group had at least one way to make it here. Now…" She opened a door. "I need four campers to enter the workshop first."
The boys looked at each other.
"Should we?" Brandon asked them.
"Well, we wouldn't be proper gentlemen if we don't allow it," Dominic replied with a small shrug.
Jacque rolled his eyes at Dominic and then looked at Embarc. "We'll let the ladies enter first."
"Pfft, fat chance," Tony told Jacque. He dropped May onto the snow and went inside.
"We appreciate the kind gesture," Sasha told the other three boys.
Letty nodded in agreement.
"Heck yeah we do! You three are awesome!" Ji-Soon exclaimed joyfully.
Ji-Soon, Sasha, and Letty entered Santa's workshop.
"That was sweet of you three," Embarc said to the boys except for Tony. "Unfortunately, that makes all three of you and May eliminated since this will be the last group of four to complete the challenge."
"What!?" Dominic, Jacque, and Brandon exclaimed surprised. Neither of them was happy about this reveal. Their sudden burst woke May up.
"Someone got eliminated already?" May asked the boys.
Tony laughed at the boys' misfortune. Jacque and Dominic threw a snowball at his face like a fastball to knock the Brooklyn boss onto the snow.
"Nice aim you too," Embarc told the boys. "Anyway, I'm messing with you four. None of you are eliminated."
Dominic, Jacque, Brandon, and May sighed with relief.
"However, let this be a warning to you four. The competition will be fierce despite the upcoming challenges being more holiday cheers," Embarc said seriously.
The four almost eliminated nodded. Embarc returned to her cheery self.
"Great, glad you all understand. Let's head to the dining room. I'll explain everything that happened while you eight and the rest of the campers eat."
The dining hall was quite large with five big tables over the place. The kitchen resided on the left side of the room, which is even larger. Each group formed during the first challenge decided to eat at a table together. Except for the last two who arrived, deciding to eat together since a sixth is not present. The three groups to arrive first already finished their meal. The last three groups were eating canned vegetables at the moment.
"Good evening campers," Embarc greeted the contestants as she entered the dining room. She held four blue gift boxes with yellow ribbons in her arms. "Hope you enjoyed or are enjoying your meals. Dinner will arrive shortly after. But first, some explanations to get out of the way. One, this show is running on a bit of a tight budget. Depending on how things maneuver is possible there won't be exactly twenty-six episodes as stated in all your contracts. Thankfully your contracts also state there is a possibility of the show having fewer episodes. Basically, be weary of potential double eliminations."
"Budget? Isn't Santa Claus working with you?" Winnie asked.
"Santa Claus is providing the location and a few other necessities. The budget is separate since it comes from the executive producers," Embarc explained. "Number two, in case any of you forgot, everyone here is participating to win the competition and receive the gift of a lifetime. Which grants you one of the Christmas gifts you wrote in your application. Maybe you will be lucky enough to have them all fulfilled. But that's a discussion for another time."
"When are you going to tell us what happened on the plane coming over here?" Winter wondered.
"Oh that? I was going to save that for last, but this episode is running its course. So, I'll go ahead and provide the details," Embarc decided.
Inside the airline seats of the plane the cast sat. They were given a cookie by Steve the elf from earlier. All of the contestants minus Lucien, May, and Elodie received one. May and Lucien were sleeping during the ride while Steve had yet to give a cookie to Elodie.
"Here you go miss. One delicious chocolate chip cookie," Steve told Elodie.
"Oh, why thank you, but I cannot have zat cookie," Elodie said sweetly.
"You sure? It has chocolate gooiness," Steve tried to persuade.
"With all due respect sir, I cannot eat sweet," Elodie remained calm.
"Come on," Steve pleaded. "One taste isn't going to…"
Elodie grabbed the cookie and crushed it in her hand. She took out a napkin from inside her beret to clean her hands. "Thank you sir."
Steve frightened, backed away from the pastry girl. Elodie hummed to herself a song in French. All of a sudden, she heard snoring coming from several contestants. She took off her seatbelt, got up from her seat, and looked around. All of the campers were now sleeping. Scared, she went back to her seat, put her seatbelt back on, and covered her face with her beret.
"Once the plane landed May and Lucien woke up. I explained to them and Elodie what the first challenge was going to be," Embarc finished telling what happened.
Everyone minus Lucien, May, and Elodie was shocked to hear this.
"So that's why you couldn't tell us," Marco said to Elodie.
"Wait, so those cookies were made with sedative powder?" Char realized.
"There's no way you're getting away with this. I want to speak with my lawyer," Iggy spoke annoyed.
"The cookies had magic sleeping powder in them. Not sedatives," Embarc clarified.
"How does that make it better?" Winter wondered.
"Look, you all can complain all you want but it does not matter. Each and every one of you signed a contract for the show," Embarc reminded wonderfully with a cute expression. "Besides, I did this for safety measures. The altitude of descending here could leave strong headaches and ear pain throughout the day. Elodie managed to avoid that somehow."
"Okay, I'm slightly more relieved," Ketch admitted.
"Also, if any of you decided to ask, elves gave all of you a special shot that prevents you from freezing to death in this cold climate," Embarc informed. "People need to recognize the outfits all of you wearing on a daily basis."
"What the heck Embarc?" Jacque said baffled and upset. "Why didn't you tell all of us in the first place?"
Several of the contestants started to worry about their safety on the show.
"Hmm, maybe I should have kept that secret," Embarc realized. "Anyway," She tossed the presents she held to the winning group. "Winnie, Winter, Char, and Iggy. You four are about to open a present and find out the second reward for winning today's challenge."
The winning group looked eager to open their present, completely forgetting what Embarc just said. The other contestants paid attention to the gifts. Embarc looked at a camera to end the episode.
"This is the full cast of North Pole Snowdown!" Embarc spoke contently. "Hope you enjoy what they can bring to the table. What kind of present the winning group will open? What's going to happen to the contestants in their second challenge? Will there be teams? And who was the first eliminated from the competition? Find out on the next episode of North Pole Showdown!"
