It has been a couple months since the resolve of the Cyber Collision incident. And only a few weeks since the defeat of Theodore Flux and his Tumultuous 20. While our heroes managed to defeat Theodore and get him arrested, the aftermath came with more questions than answers. Upon a raid of his weapons factory, the team sent there made an unexpected discovery: a sleeping girl and a strange bracelet that has latched onto Dan's wrist without any way to remove it. Since acquiring both, our heroes have been trying to figure out the mystery behind both of them, having little to no answers. So, in response, a call was made out. Shining Hope Squad, Brave Adventurers, Spirit Force, Team Chronicle and Dark Squad were to return to active duty. A second request was sent out to Team Revival, Reformed Society, Ginhana Sky, the Xross Drive Rebellion, Mythos Hearts and the Fatebreakers for some extra help. But for the moment, only Reformed Society has answered the call given one of their members background with archaeology. We now return to the present.
"Hmm…" Vector pondered before blowing into a paper bag before popping it near the sleeping girl. "Dang it…"
Charmy flew in next with an airhorn and blew it next to the girl, also getting no reaction.
"I got it." Luffy said, lighting some dynamite and holding an airhorn before being hit over the head.
"Will you idiots knock it off? She's not gonna wake up!" Noelle said as she put out the dynamite fuse.
"But who or even what is she? She is giving off so many vibes for just a normal girl." Sachiko said.
"No idea. I found her in a holding cell in the weapons factory. It didn't seem like a good idea to leave her there so I took her out after we raided the place out." Dan said.
"And now you have this bracelet on you, unable to take it off?" Sectonia asked.
"Yeah. I mean, I didn't mind the dragon powers but I keep seeing this ghost girl everywhere I look." Dan said.
"Seems at the moment, only Dan can see her." Jexi said. "None of us could see anything even with tech and magic."
"Alright, so a girl who won't wake up, and a bracelet Dan can't take off, which happens to have a ghost girl we can't see…yeah, this definitely is a mystery." Mark concluded.
"Well, she's wearing some sort of ring, ain't she?" Eddy pointed out. "Maybe it's…I dunno, connected to Dan's new accessory somehow?"
"So far, everything seems to line up with what Byleth told us." Zamazenta said. "Perhaps this girl isn't so normal after all."
Raine was looking the girl over with curiosity before looking startled as she got to her hair. "You guys…have no idea what you found. I think…you found a Divine Dragon."
"A Divine Dragon? Are you sure, Raine?" David asked.
"Yes. Without a doubt." Raine said.
"Uh…did I miss an episode or something? What's a Divine Dragon?" Peacock asked.
"There have been legends from about 1,000 years ago in a distant land where a band of warriors fought using a set of rings that housed the spirits of Legendary Heroes." Raine said. "Divine Dragons are able to fully awaken those spirits from their slumber."
"A Divine Dragon like Tiki? Interesting." Mari said.
"Okay, Divine Dragon. Makes sense." ZS said. "So, do we need to find some sort of special stone to wake them up, or something?"
"First of all, Tiki is a Manakete, not a Divine Dragon. While she comes from a tribe called that, it doesn't make her one." Cheetah said. "Second, waking this girl up is a mystery right now seeing as how we have very little info on Divine Dragons."
"But the whole awakening spirits from the rings thing. Could that work on Dan's bracelet as well?" Agito asked.
"Most likely. If the bracelet works like the rings from the legend, it should." Cheetah said.
"But the records don't mention any bracelets with these powers." Raine said.
"Yes. That's the problem." Cheetah said.
"Uh….there…maybe someone who does know. But…you guys probably aren't gonna like it." Jexi said.
David sighed. "We're gonna have to ask HIM directly, right?"
"Yeah…this is gonna be awkward…since we sent him to prison almost a month ago." Lan said.
"Plus, some of us don't have the most pleasant pasts with him. It's probably gonna take all of our willpower to keep us from lunging at him." Crusadermon said.
"Which would be a mistake considering this place is…not where you wanna do that." Izuku said.
"Ugh…well…here goes. Set course for…the Universal Prison." Jexi said.
The Universal Prison, where the worst of the worst in any universe are kept inside. And unfortunately, this is where our heroes are seen walking through.
"Ugh…I always hate having to come here." Hera said.
"Yeah…all those prisoners staring…" Nami said.
"Whoo! Hot ones tonight!"
"Hey sweet stuff. Take it off!"
"Settle down!" a guardsman yelled. "These ladies are just as god made them, beautiful and sexy as hell."
"Whose side are you on!?" Kugo called.
"Easy, Lei." Hope said. "We just came here to see Theodore, let's ignore the crazy ones."
"Yeah! Take it off!"
"She's not into that." Hope said.
"I wasn't talking to her."
Hope shivered a bit before they were finally escorted to a long line of prisoners talking with civilians.
"Well, we're here. The ol' spot where Prisoners get their 1 free phone call." DW typed.
"Look at this line. How long do we gotta wait to talk with this guy? The wait's already killin me!" Peacock said.
"You are allowed 15 to 30 minutes to speak with the prisoner. But keep in mind…we will be watching for suspicious activity." the guard said pointing to the baton wielding guards as well as a few snipers set up.
"Probably best we don't say anything we shouldn't." Shionne said.
The group approached a window as they saw the man himself being wheeled in in a straitjacket while tied on a dolly. It soon stopped as Theodore emerged from the jacket and handed it to the guard. "Thanks, Floyd." he said to the guard as he approached the seat. "Well well…the Dimensional Heroes. Must be nice to visit me…the guy you threw in jail." he said sarcastically.
"Sup, Theodore old buddy? Nice prison jumpsuit. Slimming. gotta say, you look good in orange. Almost as good as I look in black." DW typed.
"I liked you better when you didn't communicate." Theodore said.
"As fun as it would be to insult you after Jexi and the gang utterly defeated you a couple weeks ago, we're not here for that. We need answers." Hope said.
"Ah…so you need something from me, is it? I don't know if I feel like talking. I do have a number of prison activities today. Free paint, yoga, prison road crewing…" Theodore said.
"Seems to us like you've been making the best of a bad situation." Francisca said.
"I'll admit I lost to a superior force. And that this is what I get in the end, life in a prison. No prestige, no lab, no weapons. Just a solitary mind in a cube of concrete and mica." Theodore said.
"Well, you're the only one who can tell us what we need to know about two individual things you had before you got arrested." Adora said. "Tell us about the girl and the bracelet."
"Those? Why would I tell those to the Dimensional Heroes who ruined me and the Tumultuous 20? I had a killer line up and you jerks tore it down in a matter of days!" Theodore said.
"You kidnapped those people and brainwashed them!" Jexi said.
"Sticks and stones." Theodore said. "I will not speak…unless you all want to…make it worth my while."
"Why should we do anything you ask? It's probably just so you can bust out of here and restart your evil schemes all over again." Kendo said.
"First of all, they weren't evil, just drastically misunderstood. Second, I'm not asking for a bust out. Only for you people to work on getting me…a pardon." Theodore said.
"You? Pardoned? After everything you've done, we'd sooner retire." Hope said.
"All right. But uh…you should know…you weren't the only ones asking about magic jewelry from me recently." Theodore said.
"Wait, for real? There were others?" David asked.
"Oh yes, whoever you are. I think you might…know them." Theodore said, pointing to a wanted poster of the Universal Villains.
"Of course they would…" David said.
"So, what's it going to be? Luck on your own…or ask the genius and help him get pardoned?" Theodore said.
The seven leaders then huddled up.
"If we take this… this guy can't go back to being evil. No half way, no behind the scenes crap." DW typed.
"But there's no way to watch him 24/7." Jexi said.
"Honestly the bastard deserves to rot in jail." Ace said.
"But if we don't agree to get him pardoned, we're at a dead end with finding out who that girl is or what that bracelet around Dan's arm really is." Hope said.
"I think I have an idea…but it's pretty drastic." Emo spoke up. "I've…been researching curses and I've found one that might just convince Theodore to think more about collateral damage during his future endeavors. It's called Pain Mirror. The name's pretty self-explanatory."
"Physical damage gets reflected, right?" Natsu guessed.
"Not just physical." Emo clarified. "Mental, emotional, spiritual…basically, any pain he inflicts onto others gets turned on him, no matter how minor or major it is. Like I said, pretty drastic to put a curse on him, but ..."
"Well as long as it hurts him in the end." Ace said.
"As much as it turns my stomach to agree to this… He's the only source of information we have right now." David said. "If we don't get it out of him now, we're not gonna get anywhere. I say we do it."
"Well…not like we have any other options." Jexi said. "Okay…here's the deal. You'll get your pardon on two conditions. One: you will only get it only after we figure out all the secrets and return the girl. And Two: you have to promise to contribute to society instead of harming it."
"Hmm…fine. Deal." Theodore said. "(Not like I can re-enter the community now that Thomas has completely froze me out.)" he thought.
"Okay now Theodore. You want your freedom, start talking. First, tell us about that girl Dan rescued. You know who she is. Wears all white with gold linings, and has rapunzel-like hair thats blue on the left, and red on the right that goes down to her legs." Hope said.
"Okay…but first…hold this." Theodore said, pushing something to him.
"Wait…is this a gun carved from soap? Why would…" Hope said.
"He has a gun!" Theodore said as the guards went and jumped on Hope. "First rule of speaking to me, do not talk to me like I'm an idiot."
"Then we'll speak to you normally." Cheetah said. "You already know who she is."
"Yes. She's a Divine Dragon. I acquired her after a stint in a distant land." Theodore said.
"As in you abducted her from her homeworld, while she was still sleepin'." Peacock said.
"Acquired, abducted. They all mean the same thing in the end." Theodore said.
"What was the name of the land you appropriated her from?" Koala asked.
"It was a world called Elyos. One that cannot be accessed by normal means." Theodore said.
"Then how did you get access?" Lucy asked.
"Ah, there in lies where those come into play." Theodore said, pointing to the bracelet. "That bracelet your friend has…it's not the only one of its kind. It's one of seven actually."
"So Dan doesn't have the only one in the world? There's six more?" Bow asked.
"Yes. See, after you ruined my plans in Inkopolis, I was working on my next business model for Flux Weapons Creations. I turned my research to magical jewelry. Accessories that are quite deadly, as they say. I got into looking for things called Miraculous in this old ancient temple in a distant world. I didn't find said jewels but…I found something of equal power." Theodore said. "The Bracelet. Using it as a model, I located the other six. As soon as I did, a door appeared before me. Curious, I went through. To my surprise, I ended up in a castle in another world. Lythos, the name of the country I was in, was the home of that girl. The moment I realized what she was, I decided to…appropriate her for the greater good…of my science funds. I mean, dragon parts are hard to come by and are quite valuable. So I ran off with her." Theodore explained.
"Right… but what happened to the bracelets? How come you only escaped with just one?" Ragna asked.
"I'm getting there. Anyway, after I put her in a holding cell, I soon realized that others would try and target me for all of them given their power. So, I did what any sensible person would do. I either sold them off or hid them in the most dangerous of places." Theodore said.
"But you kept one bracelet for yourself, and said nothing about the Divine Dragon." Nesma said.
"I figured I could mass produce the bracelet's power. But I could never figure out how it functioned." Theodore said. "Which was why I was surprised when your friend actually tapped into a bit of it."
"Just a bit? So it hasn't been fully activated." Adora said.
"Of course not. Only his arm dragonized. If he used its full power, he'd be able to turn into a full dragon." Theodore said.
"Which begs the question. Do you know where we can find the other six in the whole set?" Vashyron asked.
"Of course I know. I'm the one who hid them off. Like this little tidbit. One of them was sold to a shop owner in Shanghai, China in the Hero Universe." Theodore said.
"Shanghai? And wait, you said you found them all when you were looking for Miraculous. So that means the one you're talking about, was sold off to someone who lives in Ladybug and Cat Noir's neck of the woods."
"Yes. Coincidentally, someone was also asking about those jewels. That fancy looking fashion mogul. Gabriel Agreste?" Theodore said. "Except…he didn't use the word Miraculous."
"Wait…what word did he use?" Sabo asked.
"Something called a…Prodigious." Theodore said.
"Meaning the villains already have a head start to the start of the treasure hunt." Jexi said.
"Well then what're we standin' around here for?! We gotta hightail it to Shanghai before Flux and Techno get their mits on the bracelet or this Prodigious thingy!" Peacock said.
"Peacock's right. In the wrong hands, both this Prodigious and the bracelet could spell trouble." Glimmer said. "Especially Gabriel's with the Prodigious. Wait…where are Ladybug and Cat Noir anyway?"
"Oh. As it turns out, both of them already went to take a trip to Shanghai. Left yesterday actually." Jexi said.
"That's good, we'll be able to meet up with them and explain the situation." Kendo said. "And what about the others who accepted the call you guys put out?"
"Let's see…Both Mythos Hearts and Fatebreakers are busy training and adventuring in Tempest. Team Revival didn't answer. Ginhana Sky is busy with some job. No reply from the Rebellion." Jexi said.
"Maybe Connor didn't pick up because he was busy with another job. Let's try him again, I'm sure he and his crew are free." Adora said.
"If you say so." Mark shrugged. "I think that's all we need to know. Except the other…"
"You'll get that info after each bracelet collected." Theodore said. "Just my way of keeping us…in contact." he chuckled.
"Alright. Thanks for your time, Theodore." Adora said.
"Alright, your time's up." a guardsman said as they were escorted out.
"Sorry it had to go that way, David. I know you and Theodore have bad blood. But agreeing to pardon him was the only way we had to get him to talk." Hope said.
"Eh… Didn't really matter either way. I'm just glad we didn't have to deal with him longer than we had to." David said.
"At least he'll be going free knowing we'll always be around to stop him if he tries to start anything. With us looming over his head, he won't have any choice but to help society rather than harm it." Catra said.
"Course we won't help him get pardoned till after we get all the bracelets." Jexi said.
"With that in mind, shall we get going to Shanghai to start our little treasure hunt?" Hope asked.
"We sure will. This is gonna be fun." DW typed. "Let's get Connor in on the action ASAP. Don't want him to miss this."
"Alright, let's see if he picks up." Sachiko said.
Team Revival Office, Mezagoza, Paldea Region…
Inside the office, all was quiet. A lot of the group was resting or otherwise doing their own thing. Inside one certain personal quarters, a communicator rang, and who should pick it up but none other than Connor himself, waking up from a little siesta.
"You've reached Connor Trav Yukine, head of Team Revival, Heroes for Hire. How can I help you?" Connor asked.
"Hey, Connor. We tried calling you a bit earlier about needing a little help with something." Hope said.
"Oh, that? Sorry, I was busy then. Wrapping up a job that involved saving a billion dollar technology company from corrupt infrastructure. Way more epic than it sounds." Connor said. "What's this about? Is it about that girl and the bracelet Jexi and his friends got from Theodore?"
"Yeah. we found out that the one Dan's wearing is one of seven. Theodore scattered the other six all over the multiverse, so we're going on a little treasure hunt to get them back." Hope said.
"Sounds like fun. And what about Sleeping Beauty, find out anything about her?" Connor asked.
"She's a Divine Dragon from this closed off continent called Elyos. Apparently, putting all seven Bracelets together gets you access to it. Theodore's agreed to tell us where to find all the bracelets so we can hopefully get her back there." Hope said. "Our first stop is Shanghai China in the Hero Universe. One of the bracelets was sold there, but apparently the Universal Villains are active in looking for it and something called a "Prodigious". We're on our way there now to get them both before they do. Which begs only one question… you want in?"
Connor thought about it, before he smirked on his maskless face. "...Make sure Chinese is on the menu."
(Cue: Alive by Warbly Jets)
With that, Connor sprung up out of bed and quickly got dressed in his new outfit. He put on his white long black sleeved shirt and jeans, and zipped up his red armored vest. He then put on his gauntlets and slipped on his red and white patterned scarf and pinned it. He then grabbed his mask and clipped it on before barging out his room, the rest of Team Revival taking notice.
"What's got you in a hurry?" Hilda asked.
"Our next job. We're goin' treasure hunting." Connor said.
"Treasure?" Denji asked with glee. "You mean we could actually find something to sell off? Damn. I can finally buy some of that good stuff."
"Hold on Denji. Who's asking us to find treasure?" Lysithea asked.
"The main guys in the alliance. They wanna find the rest a group of bracelets that have somethin' to do with that girl they rescued from Theodore." Connor said. "They got a line on one already. Who's up for a trip to China?"
"China huh? That country next to the Soviet Union? Sounds good." Denji said.
"I'll get the ship fueled up." Betty said, departing.
"Alright everyone, grab your things and prepare for departure." Lorenz said. "We leave in 15 minutes."
With that, everyone grabbed their gear, as Team Revival prepared for a full team deployment. Once they had everything, they headed to Betty's ship.
"Alright guys, let's go score us some treasure." Connor said.
"Shanghai, China, here we come!" Betty said, starting the ship up as they blasted off out of Mezagoza to the Hero Universe. The force of the engines caused the sign on Team Revival's office door to rock a bit, which said, "Closed for full deployment on mission. Leave all requests in the mailbox."
(song fade)
And so, the quest has now begun. A treasure hunt to complete a set of 7 mysterious bracelets, all revolving around the land a mysterious sleeping girl comes from. The first stop is in Shanghai, China. A new adventure for the Hero Alliance, is about to begin.
(Cue: Emblem Engage! (English Opening by Barry Bachs)- Fire Emblem Engage)
Rise from a thousand years ago….
Shaking off a hazy dream….
Meet the flower who cares for everyone.
The rising force of blackened steel.
Fighting in the desert sand….
Meet the snow that sweeps across the field.
The light and dark restore our skies.
Tonight, heal the wounds and learn from yesterday!
You calling out their names,
Crossing paths again,
Twelve are coming through,
Bless us from another place, do you remember me?
Memories of red and blue.
Reigniting you.
Bare your fangs and roar.
Free yourself forever more here and now.
"EMBLEM, ENGAGE!"
Bonds of fire connect us.
Love provides, protect us.
Like the heroes from the pages.
Like the stories of the ages.
Bonds of hope unite us.
Shining on to guide us.
Skies above embrace the beauty.
The time is now for you and me.
Though it led us to a new today.
Scars of pain can only fade away.
Healing winds are blowing through.
Night of shadows cast reminding us
Of heroes seen and dreams have passed again.
Advise us with wise council and acumen.
Seven are slumbering.
Flames are flickering
in this ruined world.
A promise to uphold, will you remember me?
Under the shrouded moon,
Silver gleams anew.
Clouds are soaring high.
Summon words across the sky.
Heed our call.
"Emblem Eternal…"
Bonds of love, emboldened
When the emblems have woken.
But the face is in the mirror.
Twin reflections growing clearer.
Bonds of light to lead us.
A new dawn to greet us.
Dragonstone as red as ruby.
You and I for all eternity.
Fighting beside you is the greatest honor l've ever known.
Standing together so we never have to battle alone.
As we did that day of reckoning.
You calling out their names.
Crossing paths again.
Twelve are coming through.
Bless us from another place, do you remember me?
Memories of red and blue.
Reigniting you.
Bare your fangs and roar.
Free yourself forever more here and now.
...EMBLEM, ENGAGE!
Bonds of fire connect us
Love provides, protects us
Like the wisdom of the sages
Like the emblems of the ages
Bonds of hope unite us
Shining on to guide us
Skies beyond embrace the beauty
The time is now for you and me
Woven into all our memories
The Fire Emblem burns eternally
Now begins…the Emblem Saga…
