Chapter Four: The date #1
When James and Lily arrived in the small village she asked him where he first intended to go with her. She said: "For today I will follow you to the most places around the village and also do the most things with you, but remember that this is your only chance! So when you want that I consider going out with you again you have to impress me and show me that you are worth it!" James nodded and said: "Acknowledged! So today will be mentioned in the history books as the day when James Potter finally made a huge step on his way to enter Lily Evans heart and through this create a milestone for all future people who put their dream of true love above everything else!"
He grinned at her and hoped she would find this amusing. And indeed a small smile appeared on her face. She looked at him and said: "Lead the way, I'm curious what you will do with me!"
James felt a strange mixture of emotions and he had also many ideas what he might do with her. Would she really do the most things with him? What about kisses and other sexual things? Probably the limit of what she would do would be reached if he would suggest something like this. And another important question was: What would she do but count as a good reason not to go out with him again?
He pressed her hand a bit and decided then where to go first. So he went with Lily to his favorite store in the whole village although he knew she would most likely not find this super interesting. But he had a certain reason to bring her to Zonko's Joke Shop. Lily gave him a skeptical look from the side when they stopped in front of this particular store. "Hmm…", she only made. James looked into her eyes and started: "I know what you probable think right now, but let me explain why I brought you here." She nodded so he continued: "Because this is my only chance to reach something with you I thought showing you some of the most important places for me might be interesting. So you see what kind of a person I am and you can decide whether you want to spend more time with me." He stroked the back of her hand and said: "I have not bought anything for playing pranks on my fellow students for a long while. So let me just show you some things I used to play with when I was younger." She gave him again a small smile which made him very happy. Side by side they entered the store.
