o3o: Sonic is definitely having a thumbs-down time. He's bleeding and sore, but those quills will come back… eventually. Fiona won't give up on him… at least not yet.

As For Eggman's speech pattern… those weren't necessarily his words he was saying.

Ranoutofideasforaname: You aren't spamming. If you have a question, go ahead and ask it while its fresh in your mind. I wasn't upset by you asking the question.

Johan ate continued to find more corpses to eat. He could tell that Gewis was watching him carefully, like he were an old, frail, mortal man. Johan found it angering, that the boy would think he is so weak.

Johan finished chewing on a bone, swallowing the bits, before leaving the corpse and walking towards the Julie-Su.

She was talking two of the men she was with, along with the scaled, dragon creature and the squirrel. Julie-Su turned back when Johan approached her and she immediately stood up.

"You're a hard bastard to kill, aren't you?" She smiled, lightly punching Johan's shoulder, "Seriously… you were bleeding and cut pretty bad."

Johan cocked his head and nodded at the Pink Garden defender, "I am alive, I will not allow myself to fall while our enemy continues to exist."

"Really? Are you going to be ok?" Julie-Su asked, raising an eyebrow in a worried look. She seemed to be looking at his scabbed over cuts and burns.

Johan growled, clawing at the ground in an angry fashion, "I have agreed to stay, and rest while I recover for a single day."

The scaled-Dragon, Vector, frowned and scratched his chin, "Buddy, you don't need to be working that body of yours. You need some nice good sleep, and a warm meal. I know the perfect rabbit for the job. She'll take good care of you and make you feel warm and fuzzy inside." The dragon-lizard described.

Johan growled, "We need to attack, soon. Our enemy is in retreat, their spirit is broken. We can destroy them before they get new blood for the fight!" He paced back and forth as Gewis rushed over.

"Hey, calm down, you'll tear your scabs." The fox insisted. Johan slumped down, and found a Red Garden Defender laying down in a pool of his own blood. Johan tore into the flesh and snarled.

The pink Garden Defender recoiled at the sight of Johan tearing into the meat, "What are you doing?"

The camp seemed to have stopped from Julie-Su's cry. The Garden Defenders all looked at Johan as he tore into the meat that would feed him.

"I am eating, I need meat for my strength." Johan growled, tearing into more flesh.

"Stop!" The pink Garden Defender shouted, as the her men shifted in fear. Julie-su moved towards the body, but Johan pinned it down and continued to tear into the meat.

"He is dead, leaving him here will not change that. I am hungry, and he is nothing more than a beast to be eaten." Johan growled while chewing on the muscles.

"He was alive, at least show him respect." Julie-su growled at Johan, before hopelessly releasing the body as she realized there was not much left to take.

Johan had picked the meat off the bones of chunks of the upper body, leaving it a frail and weak form. It would tear easily. Johan growled at the corpse, "I honor him by carrying him with me to kill his friends."

Johan then patted his stomach, before finishing up.

"Don't do that anymore!" She growled at him, in a rather annoyed state. How little she seemed to care about the food that was right in front of them. Then again, she was one of the creatures, even if she was not the one being eaten.

"There is food, and I am hungry." Johan growled, biting and crushing the bones in his teeth as he shook himself.

She shook her head, angered and sickened by the sight of Johan enjoying his food. He could feel his wounds being held shut by his enlarged muscles and fat.

Johan then curled up as Julie-Su turned to the other members of her group, "We have to work with this guy?" She sighed in anger.

Johan growled and shifted in his place before grinding down some more bones. They were easy to chew, and these men relied on weapons instead of strength. This made the bodies fattier, sweeter.

"Hey, I don't mind you fighting rough, I'm not exactly clean myself, but you can at least respect the dead. I'm serious." She growled at him, keeping a fist balled as she challenged Johan.

Johan growled back at her, "Do you believe you can stop me? I have fought far more powerful enemies than you."

She glared at him coldly, "I don't care if you fought Eggman's entire badnik collection, I want you to stop, and you're going to stop."

"Make me." Johan commanded, glaring at her as he finally bit down on the skull of the dead Garden Defender, crushing it in his maw.

Julie-Su growled and lunged at him, throwing a punch at his chest. Johan's wound made him approach carefully, and he stepped back before slamming down on her with his weight, knocking her to the ground and pinning her down.

She didn't stop fighting, though, and she kept throwing punches… which were surprisingly powerful considering how small she was. Julie-Su kept punching up his shoulder, and began to slide out from under him.

Johan twisted his upper body to keep her pinned down.

"Come on you stupid broad, now's not the time for this!" The scaled-beast Vector groaned, not at Johan but at his commander.

"You want me to make you follow me, well here it is!" Julie-Su ignored the dragon-beast was, and switched to pounding on Johan's forearm to show her strength.

Johan felt… different with her constant fighting. She was strong and fierce, committed to her demands and willing to fight him for them. He shook his head to refocus himself, before he picked up the pink Garden Defender.

She reached behind her back and pulled out the pistol which had two barrels. She aimed quickly fired at his chest wound, which was a good plan. Unfortunately for her, Johan raised her up high enough. She fired the first shot as she plummeted towards the concrete ground.

"Hey don't hurt her! That's mean!" The bee flew around Johan, buzzing angrily at him. She had the respect of her men, as the scaled beast tried to stop Johan's arms with both hands.

Johan was far too strong for them, however, and slammed her down through his arms, breaking the lock that he had made with his hands. Julie-Su fell through his arms and suddenly realized what has happening to her. Her eyes widened as she fell though, and slammed into the ground.

Johan heard the sound of the air leaving her lungs, followed by the sound of her sucking in air. Johan released her, listening to her gasping form.

Johan stood up and looked down at the panting form of the Pink Garden defender as she stayed down. She was less powerful than Johan-

Julie-Su groaned and picked herself up, panting and blinking as she tried to gather her thoughts together. She looked up at Johan, and picked herself up with a heave. Her gun had hit the ground and slid away from them.

Julie-Su, this weakened woman, still stood before Johan. She balled her fists and grit her teeth, "Vector… Back me up."

The Scaled beast looked at her, then at Johan, then back to Julie-Su. "I don't know, Julie. Maybe we should count our losses and call it quits. You don't look so good."

Johan, however, found himself impressed. She was strong, and enduring. Johan had his thoughts, but saw it fit to continue watching her.

She stood and glared at Johan, the anger leaving her eyes, being replaced with a smile, "Fine… I'll take him on myself." She started to walk towards Johan, staggering from the blow that had weakened her.

The pink Garden Defender then raised her fist to try and punch Johan once again, throwing the blow at his chest. She was still standing strong, which impressed Johan even more.

The crowd had closed in, some eager to watch the two commanders fight, while others watched with fear at the sight of the two.

Johan grabbed Julie-Su's arm, and pulled her into his abdomen, feeling her head slam against his stomach as he pushed her off, knocking her to the ground once again, "You are strong, and fierce, but this is a fight you could never win."

The pink Garden defender stood back, and popped her neck, "I'm not one to really lay down and take that!" She ran faster at Johan, clearly recovering her strength as she jumped and flew at him.

Johan braced as the fist collided with his wound.

"Come on, Johan. You've made your point, let's stop this fighting before it gets worse." Gewis groaned in frustration, finally giving his thoughts on the battle.

Johan wrapped his arms around the pink Garden Defender and pulled her to the ground, pinning her down. Johan agreed with Gewis, the fight had gone on long enough, there was nothing to be gained further.

He pressed her into the ground as her men came over. Johan roared in Julie-Su's face, "Yield!"

She snarled up at him, but not in angry way. The pink Garden Defender had wanted a fight, and this was giving her the excuse to exert herself. So she kept fighting, swing her fist up at Johan's cheek, knocking his head to the side slightly.

Johan felt that power in her. He growled and pinned Julie-Su back down, binding her arms and opening his mouth to roar at her once again.

Instead, a low rumble came out of his throat. The sound silenced any talking and cheering from the men around them. Julie-Su and her men all looked confused. Johan's throat echoed the sound again, with the sound rolling in the back of his throat as it spread out.

Gewis looked on the sight with fear and disgust, "Nope, Nope, Nope! That's enough, you've proven your point Johan. Lets go." He walked over and pushed Johan off his pinned target.

Johan backed away, growling in his throat slightly, but understanding Gewis's fear. Julie-Su kept her eyes looking at Johan in a curious and disgusted way, "What was that?"

"Nothing." Gewis spoke for Johan, holding out his arms in a protective stance, before Pulling on Johna, allowing him to follow his fox ally.

Once they were away from the crowd, and could keep the followers at a distance, Gewis pulled on Johan's ear, "What were you thinking? That's not a cool flirt to do!" He whispered angrily.

"I was not "flirting"." Johan growled at fox, "Those sounds came out of me for a reason I do not know."

"You like her. You seem to a sucker for pain, always going after the girls who hurt you. But that one is taken, I'm serious, she has a boyfriend." Gewis growled at Johan, acting very scared for some reason.

"Then I should kill him and tend to his lover? Make her my wife?" Johan growled at the fox in a strangely… playful way. Johan felt alive thanks to his encounter with Death.

"What? No!" Gewis growled at Johan before sighing, "Don't do anything to her. She's Knuckles's girlfriend. Leave that be, please." Gewis sounded truly angry. This was serious to him, and Johan would respect that.

Johan cocked his head, but nodded, "I am no adulterer. I will not allow anything to come from our talks."

Gewis watched him for a moment as the crowd slowly found their way back to him, looking for more entertainment, "That's good. We'll find you a woman."

"She can fight, no?" Johan smiled, laughing a little.

Gewis nodded slowly, still losing his fear, "Yeah, she can."

They walked back to the rest of the army, who now watched Johan walk past them, not even paying them mind. The buildings had heat machines, but they had gone out with the attack. So Johan sat by a fire, and allowed the heat warm him.

The fire cackled with the wood of a destroyed table, around a pile of rubble. Johan dared to close his eyes and sleep.

Johan once again was in a court room, but not his own. No, his axe was drawn, held there with blood dripping down. Odacer was there, trying to sleep in one of the chairs, exhaust from his charge. Johan was waiting there for his ally to arrive.

Sure enough, that even came. The door swung open and the boy, no older than twelve, walking in, looking rather scared.

"Do not be afraid, boy." Johan commanded with a firm look. The boy straightened up, "You'll serve me well… unlike your uncle."

The boy nodded rigorously, letting Johan know that he would be a faithful ally.

"Putting a brother on the throne instead of a stranger?" Odacer asked, curiously with his eyes closed. His stomach looked sickly, likely from the mushrooms he had eaten and the exhaustion from the battle.

"It is better this way. They know his name, even if he is just a boy. They will accept him more, and he will follow me." Johan explained, obviously. Indeed, the boy had served and become useful to Johan and his efforts. The strangers could volunteer their services for war instead of fighting for control over a territory that was not thiers.

"I see, but will he fall in line?" Odacer asked, tensing up at the idea of the boy betraying them.

"He'll do as I say. He will be loyal, and that is enough for me." Johan growled with a smile.

Johan's eyes opened up at the fire, watching it cackle and toast. The day was still young, but Johan had needed his rest, and the fire provided the perfect place to do so. It was comfortable, which Johan would need to deal with for a time, but he would.

Julie-Su sat on a pile of rubble next to Johan, and slumped back, "Sorry about earlier… That was stupid… THERE MIGHTY, I SAID IT!"

"Do not apologize. You are strong, it was fun." Johan cocked a grin at her.

Julie-Su smiled and nodded, "Yeah… I did have fun. But we can't fight each other. We need to be together for this. I've never seen my sister so dead-set on doing something outside of…" her voice faded to Johan's angering.

Johan took a deep breath, and growled, "Why do you look like our enemy? Why would you martyr your body for something weak?"

Julie-Su frowned before sighing, "I didn't really get much of a choice. I was born in to the legion. I joined them, and did pretty good. " She then stopped, and frowned.

"What troubles you? Banish it from your heart before we go into battle." Johan growled eager for her to finish her thought.

Julie-Su looked at Johan strangely, before nodding and looking down, "I don't remember much of my childhood. I remember being in the Legion for… as long as I was born."

Johan cocked his head at her, and nodded, "You joined them, yet you hate fighting?"

"There wasn't much of a choice. My family was legion, I needed to take care of myself. Plus my sister was in it, although she wasn't the Grandmaster at the time." Julie-su sighed, sitting against the building.

"Your sister? She is the leader of our enemy?" Johan growled at her, baring his fangs to show his anger at the deception.

Julie-Su immediately noticed his reaction and held her hands up, "I was… I'm not anymore. I left for a few reasons."

"Yet your sister is my enemy." Johan growled at her, his mind immediately making connections to a trick. Family tended to work together when the fighting was fierce.

"Yes, she is my sister… but there's not much love there." The pink Garden Defender sighed angrily, tapping her leg, "She's my half-sister, and she and I don't exactly get along."

Johan chose to trust her for the moment, "You have had a disagreement, and made anger for each other. That anger will pass in time, and your loyalty will be questioned." Johan growled, bristling his fur.

Julie-Su shook her head, "We had a disagreement on my hatch-day. I was glad to be born, she was not. She didn't exactly change over the course of her life." The Pink Garden Defender sighed, tapping her feet angrily, "Lien-da didn't exactly want a little sister, and she made that very clear."

Johan found that to be a comfort. There was enough hatred between the two sisters that He did not need to worry about her betraying him for her family. She could be trusted.

"So… I'm sorry I threw a punch at you." Julie-Su groaned with a lack of belief. She sounded so formal, not truly regretful of anything she had done.

"Do not lie to me. You did not hate fighting me, you wanted to, so do not lie to believe otherwise." Johan growled, glaring at the pink Garden Defender, waiting for her response.

"You deserved it, but I still shouldn't have hurt you." Julie-su sighed, sitting on a bench that was still standing.

Johan snorted with a grin, "You did not."

Julie-Su cocked her head at Johan and blinked, "I didn't what?"

"You did not hurt me, though you are stronger than most of these weak fools." Johan growled with a smile, "You have impressed me, I will not forget your strength."

The pink Garden Defender froze, taking a moment to think about what he said. She seemed confused, perhaps not knowing how to respond to praise.

"Thank… you… I guess." Julie-Su mumbled softly, before sitting down, "Wait- I landed some good hits!" She exclaimed.

"Your form was good, but I am better." Johan growled at her, but again found himself smiling at her, "I could feel your hits, but they were not crushing."

Julie-Su growled, glaring at him before turning away, "Look, I said I was sorry, are you going to do the same?"

"No." Johan snorted, yawning at her.

"You aren't going to apologize! Are you kidding me?" Julie-Su shouted at Johan. She balled her fist and snarled at Johan.

"No, I do not regret what I did, and if I did do something I regret, I would not resolve it with mere words." Johan growled at her, glaring in a fully serious form, "I need meat to heal, and grow stronger. Bloody meat is the best."

Gewis walked over, again looking for any signs of danger or battle between the two. He seemed to have heard Julie-Su's argue-shouting.

Johan perked up and looked at Gewis. The two stared at each other for a moment while Julie-su ranted about his supposed deserved shame. Then the pink Garden Defender went quiet.

Gewis nodded at Johan, putting his faith in Johan's restraint, as he should have.

Johan laid down, his body still tired and weary, needing rest. If they weren't going to attack, then he should rest.

"Wait, are you going to sleep? This is important!" Julie-Su growled at Johan, kicking his sides to try and hurt him awake. It felt like a light tap on his side, however and Johan again found amusement.

"There is nothing important coming from your mouth. You are yelling at me to help your mind calm itself. You want anger or shock out of me." Johan growled at her while shifting in his place.

Johan could hear her mild anger, before she groaned, "Fine, sleep there. We'll be ready to move in the morning, don't be late."

Johan growled at her but didn't say anything. He was more tired than he realized, with his wounds sapping his strength to heal faster.

Still, he was healing faster, so any amount of exhaustion and fatigue would be fine… if not for the fact that their enemy was regrouping. Still, Gewis was right, Johan's wounds were more of a problem than he realized.

Still, to rest would make him weaker. He needed to be active and strong. He needed to move and challenge himself.

Johan's constant thoughts allowed him to drift off into sleep.

Johan stood in the sacred grove, where the young boy Odacer was. The child was scared, trying and failing to put up even the most basic brave face. The boy had no knowledge of what lurked inside Christ's forest, aside from the hanging bodies which had been offered.

"The boy will go into the grove, and will succumb to vision. When he returns, he will carry the spirit of the Lord with him, and his place in Heaven shall be assured." The pastor bowed his head respectfully to the Saxon King.

Johan nodded, and slowly pushed the boy forward into the grove's boundaries. The small child tried to resist, digging his feet in and pushing up dirt as he was forced forward.

"Do not be afraid boy. It will not help you in there." Johan growled down at the terrified child.

Odacer looked up at him, and seemed continued to shake.

Johan growled, "God decides your fate. You will go and carry his banner in life. He will your fate, to be an Ulfheidynn, and to fight and die for him, then you will not die here." Johan explained, before continuing to push the boy.

The boy stopped resisting, and started walking, looking distant in his eyes as the fear and dread clashed with the feeling of excitement, glory and being special. Few were given such and honor and calling.

Yet the boy was not a fool either. He had learned, through Johan's conquest and fierce tales that any opportunity came sacrifice and pain. Still, that was what made the opportunities so valuable: there was danger to them.

The boy had yet to understand that, so he hesitated.

Johan had enough and shouted at the boy, "Begin!"

The boy wandered into the forest, where pain and glory followed him. But the boy survived, and grew strong from the pain, and in three months time, the boy grew wild and fierce.

Johan awoke early, with his scabbed over wounds now thoroughly closed. He stretched out inside the partially damaged city, letting out a large growling yawn to alert his men, who were close by. They stood up, many rushing for their weapons to get into a ready stance.

They stood in front of him, with Gewis leading the front of the army, but still remaining silent.

"We will strike their final prison camp, and return with Gala-Na!" Johan roared at his men.

They stayed still, but Johan gave them a nod which encouraged them to cheer.

"We will crush our enemy, and take this city, for our kingdom, for our freedom, for our God!" Johan roared, raising his large paws to stir the men to battle, being rewarded with a loud cheer from them.

The Garden Defenders were roused, and moved around, scrambling with their captured weapons to follow Johan as the men set out.

He was greeted by Julie-Su, running along side him, "Are you seriously going to fight without us?"

"You woke up, did you not?" Johan growled at her, before looking forward, "We do not need your help. If you wish to join us, you must make your people ready for battle."

He was emboldened by their success. His men were fighting harder and fiercer, able to break their enemy's will before the fighting devolved into melee.

"You need us more than you let on." The plate-back creature argued as his winged-squirrel friend landed close by.

"Come on, we need team players." The squirrel insisted.

Johan was ready to mock them, but a voice inside of him confirmed what they were saying. They would work better as a team.

"Very well, We will stop for the moment, and you will prepare. While your men prepare, let us discuss how we will attack this last camp." Johan growled at the band of warriors.

They set up a small area with strange dust to write on concrete, establishing the positions. The last point was to their south-west. It had several large buildings, but the enemy was in chaos. Furthermore, the Dingos were attacking, if the sounds were anything to go by.

Julie-Su gave her plan, "We'll go south, and attack from the east while you go west and attack from the north. I'll lead the charge on my end, you guys don't leave us hanging."

"What about the prisoners, don't forget about them!" The Dragon-beast growled, tapping the center of the area.

"Darn it!" The pink Garden Defender growled at herself, stomping to show her displeasure.

"Why not send me in to free the prisoners. They won't see me coming." The purple-scaled lizard proposed, vanishing from their eyes as he finished his statement.

There was a silence among the other members of the Chaotix warband.

"Why didn't I think of that before! I'm so stupid" Julie-Su slapped her face with her palm in shame.

"To be fair, I didn't think of it either." Mighty offered, in sympathy, which disgusted Johan.

"I did, but you've made it very clear that you're the boss, so I let you do your thing." The Dragon-beast laughed, elbowing the purple scaled beast.

That seemed to pull Julie-su back to her team, where she growled at them, "Alright! We get it! The plan will be to have Espio free everyone in the chaos. We'll create a diversion with the big guy over there." She pointed at Johan.

Johan nodded, "This is our enemy's last stand, they will not stay if they lose here." Johan was ready to fight on the front lines some more.

"No, absolutely not! He was battered hard last fight." Gewis insisted, "Find a different-"

"Do not speak for me, I am aware that victory requires sacrifice, and If I should die, then so be it." Johan growled at the fox, which made the fox retreat in pity. Johan softened, understanding the boy spoke out of love, not disrespect, "I will not die to such weak and soft peoples."

That gave Gewis some relief, as he slowly nodded at Johan, "Alright, just… don't get to battered, man."

They set off, with an inspired stance as they marched towards their last target. The Garden Defenders split off almost immediately, being led by Julie-Su.

They arrived at the edge of the enemy encampment, or rather what would have been an enemy encampment had they not been fleeing to their large flying ships. The legionnaires scrambled to the center of their encampment under the Carrier.

Johan could see the Dingoes moving to attack the guards who were holding the line against aggressive enemy. Their technology seemed to on the same level as the kingdom of acorns, which meant that Johan would be facing bullets instead of lasers. He had not really tested his body against bullets, but he would endure.

Johan knew the Garden Defenders were close by, as they did not have to push artillery pieces towards the field, so they should have already arrived.

"I see Julie-Su! We're on!" Shouted one of Johan's men. They rushed forward as the artillery piece began to fire.

Johan bounded forward to lead the charge, with Gewis running along his side, "Who are we siding with?"

"Neither! None of them are worthy allies!" Johan roared back, "Kill Them all!"

The men rushed into cover while Johan burst through a small barricade that had been made to stop any attackers from getting into the camp. The retreating cowards quickly readied their weapons and aimed at Johan shouting and moving into a surprisingly disciplined formation to shoot at Johan.

Johan rushed forward at them, ready to pounce when he saw the large silver machines moving back to attack Johan. Johan moved to face the large machines instead, as the small weapons he could endure for a time.

Johan picked up another street post, and swung the mace at the large machine's shield.

"GO, TO RESCUE YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS!" Julie-Su shouted as the mass of Garden Defenders ran in from the north, firing lasers at the enemy who was now scattering to avoid getting hit by the artillery.

Johan hook the street post on the large Machine's shield, pulling it down to reach over and scratch at the giant's head, cutting into the skull.

The titan, in response fired its weapon at Johan's stomach, burning into the fur, but not break the hide. Johan jumped and slammed down onto the machine as the fighting and chaos continued.

The Dingoes rushed into the area, shooting at the Garden Defenders without care. Johan's men fired at them, with the city folk, and the battle became a brawl.

Rockets and lasers flew overhead, with bullets storming around them. Johan felt the bullets strike his sides and back, but they did not puncture completely. He could the bullets move as he ran, which meant they were lodged into his back.

He would have Gewis pick them out later. Johan slammed his mace into a Dingo who was running towards one of the Legionnaire tents, causing the hooks to pierce the body in three places. Johan raised the mace and shook the body off.

The city Garden Defenders and the Legionnaires were only distinguishable by the cloaks they wore. The Dingoes, on the other hand were obvious to stop and so Johan attacked the larger enemy force.

The Dingoes did not remain idle, and demonstrated remarkable discipline as Johan charged at them, forming ranks and firing at Johan with automatic weapons, which lodged into Johan's hide.

Yet as the distance closed, their shots became less accurate, and their bullets began to spread out. Bodies filled the streets and square, but Johan's was not one of them, and he crushed the enemy squadron with the blow of a single strike.

A large Dingo emerged from the group, shouting orders and keeping discipline. He was clearly the commander, and a worthy one at that. He looked strong and fierce, and had a sword on his back which was large, although two handed. He did not seem like an Ulfheidynn.

Johan attacked through the ranks, smashing the Dingoes that stood in his way. Their strength began to waver as Johan's men pushed up to fire at them.

The Lead Dingo did not falter, however, and kept his gaze firm a fierce, turning to Johan as the wolverine pulled another body off his mace. The dingo pointed with his swords towards the infantry who were behind rubble before walking towards Johan, twirling his sword in a relaxed manner.

He did not know who he was dealing with. The platform that was loading the airship descended down to the ground level, but the Legionnaires were surprised to find a Pale Garden Defender and several prisoners standing there, with the purple lizard. Gala-Na was rescued, finally.

"Go now! To Freedom!" the pale Garden Defender shouted and the prisoners ran out as the fighting became more chaotic, with both Legionnaires and Dingoes fighting near the platform, with the city-soldiers piercing into the melee.

Johan was focused on a different foe, holding his mace steady and capable to swing into the leader Dingo's head. This seemed to be a duel with the way he was approaching, readying his sword. Johan would humor the coming slaughter that would come.

The Leader stopped roughly six feet away from Johan. He pointed at Johan, "You can leave now or die for my city!"

At the end of our time we stand, Hold the cross by the iron hand,Holy Christ in your command
We call on the Lord.

Johan growled in his throat at his foe, before raising his mace, and swinging it at his head. The Dingo raised his sword and caught the mace, only for the mace to pressed the blade towards the Dingo's face.

Be the last of the human kind, With no blood in your heart and mind, Alone into fire we walk

The Dingo struggled for a moment to try and force Johan's hand back, before yielding and backing away to avoid having his face cut open. He pulled his blade back, and Johan stopped his mace with the wide swing, before turning it around and swinging the street post at the Dingo leader, forcing him back again.

If we come all before you wake, Pray the Lord your soul to take, For your blood will build a lake, sing hallelujah

Johan growled in his throat, thrusting with the street post, slamming the blunt end into the Dingo's stomach, making him fall down, using his sword to continue standing.

In the night when you rest your head, And we rise up from the dead, The holy and fallen we are…

Johan raised his mace to swing down on the leader Dingo's skull. He made sure to get close enough to be able to stretch out if the dingo commander backed away. But he did not back away, instead, while still leaning over, he lunged forward.

Wild, wild, we are the wild,

The Dingo raised his sword ready to strike Johan's shoulder.

Wild, wild, break out and cry

Johan was surprised. Truly, as the blade came down, he did not expect the dog to have the strength to make such a maneuver. More so, the fighting spirit of this young man, his will to keep doing, the lack of retreat at the struggle that came from their fight.

Wild, wild, you are the wild

As the blade descend closer to Johan's shoulder, he arrived at the conclusion: the dingo was a warrior. And Johan was excited.

And till the morning, Stand up and fight!

Johan raised his left hand to grab the Dingo's wrists, before pushing the dog back with a grin, "I am going to enjoy this fight!"

We are the wild (are the wild), And after midnight we're alive (We are the, we are the)

"Leave my city you unclean animal!" The Dingo shouted, swinging his sword to Johan's right, attempting to cut Johan's chest. Johan responded to the attack by mirroring the start of the fight, catching the blade on the street post's hooks, before using the street post to slide up the blade to the hilt.

Can't stop the wild (stop the wild), Forever born to hail the night!

Johan then slammed his head against the leader, who staggered back, before catching his footing and trying to slam his head back against Johan. He was weaker than Johan, but he had a strength to him, and a fighting spirit to him.

Perhaps Johan was too quick to dismiss the Dingoes. They were at least warriors in some regard. Perhaps Johan would offer him a position once the fighting was done.

In the dark of the night we pray, For the dawn of the final day, For the light to guide the way, And God, take our hand

Johan pushed the Leader back as the fighting was slowing down around them. It didn't matter, he was focused on a single enemy. Johan pursued the leader into the battlefield, with the two swinging their weapons to attack the other, and responding accordingly.

Overhead where the demons die, And the daylight blinds the eye, Alone on the pyre we stand

Johan swung his mace at the Dingo's leg, which he stepped away, before Johan quickly rushed at him, slamming into the enemy commander. The Dingo fell down and rolled, before scrambling to his feet.

In the daytime seek to hide, Till at sundown we unite, To begin the sacrifice scream hallelujah

Johan ran at the commander, who quickly raised his fists and threw a punch at Johan. Johan swung his mace into the Dingo's shoulder, lodging the hooks into the meat.

Wild, wild, we are the wild, Wild, wild, break out and cry

The Dingo screamed in pain, but raised his fist, still eager to keep fighting. Johan tackled the injured foe.

Wild, wild, you are the wild, And till the morning Stand up all night!

Johan pinned his target down, and slammed his head into the Dingo's nose, resulting in a shout while he struggled.

We are the wild (are the wild), And after midnight we're alive (We are the, we are the)

Johan slammed his head against his foe again, finally sending his target limp.

Can't stop the wild (stop the wild) Forever born to hail the night

The city had grown quiet. The enemy had already retreated, leaving their commander to stay and fight on his own.

Johan stood up off the body, and walked over to his men, as the carrier moved once again. They were still in the city. Johan also caught the strange smell once again, rising form the sewers.

"is it over?" Gewis asked, sounding weary from the fighting. He had several grazes and cuts on him, but he was alive.

Johan saw the dead soldiers from his own army. It was a shame, but they were the penal soldiers. Their purpose was redemption in battle.

"No, they have another camp, where they have kept their reserves." The pale Garden Defender spoke, approaching Johan.

"Then we will set out now." Johan growled at her, before looking for Julie-Su.

"Very well." The Pale Garden Defender smiled, before turning around. Johan did not like her. She was a serpent, Johan's bones told him so.

"Should we rest, and then head out?" Gewis asked blatantly.

Johan walked to his fallen soldiers, and put their rifles in their hands, "Yes, let's tend to the dead first, then we make our enemy bleed."
