Title: Love's Journey
Chapter 9/Epilogue
***Later***
(Dante is let into the Quartermaine mansion. Dante goes into the living room looking for Dillon. Tracy comes into the room to see Dante)
Tracy: "What do you want with Dillon?"
Dante: "With all due respect, Tracy, this is between me and your son."
Tracy: (nods) "I know what Dillon did to Lulu, Dante. I also know what you did to her."
(Tracy folds her arms over her chest as she spoke)
Tracy: "Tell me something, Dante. Do you think Lulu will forgive you?"
Dante: "She said she won't. I'm guessing you're hoping Lulu forgives your son because he's in love with her."
Tracy: "You can't force Lulu to forgive you if she's not ready to. As for Dillon and Lulu, I won't interfere. What happens or doesn't happen between them is for them to decide."
(Dante scoffs, however, he knew Tracy was right on everything. Dante also didn't want to admit it, but he knew he lost Lulu forever. Whether it was to Dillon was another story. Dante walks out of the mansion)
(Meanwhile, Lulu is at the Haunted Star getting ready for the evenings opening. She's in her own little world as she thinks about her talks with Dante and Dillon. She hears a male's voice that causes her to come back to reality)
Lulu: "Huh? Who's there?"
(Dillon chuckles nervously as he spoke)
Dillon: "Is it okay to come in?"
Lulu: (nods) "Come in."
(Dillon points to the door as he spoke)
Dillon: "I can leave if you don't want to see me."
Lulu: (shakes her head) "I've had time to think about everything."
(Dillon can't help but get a little hopeful)
Dillon: "And?"
(Lulu walks to him and sighs deeply before speaking)
Lulu: "I'm still mad at you about everything. I'm also mad at Dante. However, the difference between you and Dante? Dante cheated on me and almost got Valerie pregnant."
(Dillon is shocked at that)
Dillon: "Wow. I'm sorry he did that."
Lulu: "Dillon, you may have embarrassed me. I know that you would never cheat on me, though."
(As Dillon walks towards her, he spoke)
Dillon: "You are right. I would NEVER cheat on you, Lulu, no matter what happens in life. I will forever be sorry about the video and ashamed."
Lulu: (nods) "I know, Dillon. I can tell in your voice that you're truly sorry."
(She briefly lowers her head and closes her eyes before facing Dillon)
Lulu: "I can't forgive Dante and he got mad. If I ever gave him another chance, it'd always be in the back of my mind if he'd turn to Valerie again when things got tough, I can't go through that."
Dillon: "I don't blame you on that."
Lulu: "I admit, I've been doing a lot of thinking about you and me. About whether I can trust you again and get over your betrayal."
Dillon: "I wouldn't blame you if you can't."
(Lulu takes his hands into her and smiles a bit)
Lulu: "Answer me something honestly."
Dillon: (nods) "Name it."
Lulu: "Can you be patient with me if it takes me a little bit of time to sort out my feelings and forgive you for what you did?" (nods) "I do feel you're sorry. The tone of your voice and your facial expressions tell me you mean it. I just need a little more time to process everything. I do care for you, though, Dillion." (chuckles nervously) "Truth be told, I think having you back in my life caused me to have feelings for you. Deeper ones than I wanted to admit. But now? I can admit them."
Dillon: (smiles) "I can give you all the time in the world, as much as you need."
(Dillon tilts his head and smiles passionately)
Dillon: "It's always been you, Lulu. I've always loved you."
(Lulu smiles back and looks into his eyes, resting her hand on his cheek. Her loving touch felt so damn good. They look at each other's lips before they softly connect. After a few seconds, they break free)
Dillon: (chuckles) "I have been wanting to do that for so long."
Lulu: (smiles) "Our wish finally came true. As soon as I'm officially divorced from Dante, we can be together."
Dillon: "I'd wait forever for you."
(Dillon and Lulu embrace as they are glad they have the rest of their lives to be together)
