A few weeks later Ace is getting ready. "Tegan, what is going on?"

"You are getting married."

"Duh, I have been waiting for this day from the moment he proposed." Ace turns around facing her friend. "There is something more?"

"Nyssa and I have been talking about where we want to live. Not that we don't love your hospitality, but we need a place of our own."

"Oh Tegan, you are worried about living with newlyweds?"

"It's not that, though you and Graham deserve time on your own."

"We are taking a 6-month honeymoon. You two can stay there and figure everything out."

"6 months?!" Tegan is shocked.

"Yes, 6 months. Graham, the world and I, what else could it be?"

"Just 6 months."

"Not fully 6 months, we will make a trip back here for Christmas. Have the holiday with the three of you and Ryan."

"My first Christmas with Nyssa."

"And my first Christmas as somebody's wife," Ace gets a large smile on her lips. "So stay at ours, or go to Australia. Just know if you decide to move here, I will be even more of an annoying sister. Now let's get me married."

"Let's," at the moment they hear a familiar noise and rush to the window as the Doctor steps out of the TARDIS being greeted by Graham and Nyssa.

"Hello Nyssa," the short Doctor looks at Graham. "You must be the lucky fellow. Graham, right?"

"I am, on both accounts."

Meanwhile upstairs, "Tegan, can you get the Doctor up here?"

"On it," she calls Nyssa, who sends the Doctor up. Who ends up walking Ace down the aisle. During the ceremony the Doctor watches the two couples and can;t help but feel happy for the four of them.

After the ceremony the Doctor is dancing with Nyssa when he feels a tapping on his shoulder. "Yes?"

"May I cut in?" The Doctor goes to dance with her and Jo steps up to dance with the Time Lord.

"So Jo, how is everything? It seems you took the role of mother of the bride."

"I did, Ace asked me to."

"Where is Cliff?"

"He died over a year ago."

"I'm sorry."

"It's ok, I am just happy that I get to see love flourish between the two couples that are also on the dance floor." They both look over to see one couple sharing a kiss and the other talking.

"When should we tell everyone that we are getting married, Tegan?"

"Later, let Ace and Graham have their day. Ace does know something is up. I told her a half truth that we were thinking about finding a place of our own."

"Are you sure that you are ok with moving away from Australia?"

"I am, as long as I have you with me."

"You will always have me."

"I know because, Nyssa, we are now together in this universe," the two share a small kiss as the reception moves on.
