"Two of us back at it again." Coordinator Ash said, as the duo of him and Seer Ash walked downhill towards the bridge.
"Do you think we can handle what the next plate challenge might be, I mean we don't know what we'll be up against and ever since we saw that Braviary, and now something called a Kleavor, even if we recognize it, the typing could be different." Seer Ash said.
"Then we hit it hard and fast, if nothing else a couple of thunderbolts will do it in good." Coordinator Ash said.
"Can I ask you something?" Seer Ash said.
"Does it have to do with my scars?" Coordinator Ash asked.
"No…". Seer Ash said.
"Does it have to do with my tattoo?" Coordinator Ash asked.
"Also no, and just for future reference are those completely off the table for talking about?" Seer Ash asked.
"Nope, but I could guess the questions coming from them, so what do you want to ask?" Coordinator Ash asked.
"Do you ever wonder why the two of us are getting asked to come along on these adventures?" Seer Ash asked. "I mean those three are so much more powerful than we are in battle."
"Think about it like this, what can you bring that none of them can?" Coordinator Ash asked. "For me that's the primal force and my mastery of appeals, are they always useful, no, but is it something I've seen any of you do, also no."
"But my aura power lets me speak to spirits, and I don't have a battle specialty." Seer Ash said.
"Well, your abilities let us know that when a spot was destroyed it just blipped out of existence, plus you captured Mewtwo last time we teamed up." Coordinator Ash pointed out.
"Actually I caught him before then, but it's for his safety, I choose not to own him." Seer Ash said.
"Okay, do you think any of us own a Mewtwo even to the level you're at?" Coordinator Ash questioned. "You caught a legendary in your first year as a trainer, how is that not big!"
"I guess so, I just with everyone else here, I feel unimportant." Seer Ash said.
"We all are here because we chose to stay and fight, nothing beyond that should matter, now come on there should be a plate on top of that hill." Coordinator Ash said, running up the hill.
"Hey wait up!" Seer Ash called out.
At the top of the hill
"There's… nothing here?" Coordinator Ash said.
"But Ash… er Skirt or Ashlyn, they said there's be a plate up here." Seer Ash said.
"Maybe there was and it moved?" Coordinator Ash asked.
"De-le-le wooooooooooop!" A cry echoed through the stadium like spot causing both Ash's to cover their ears.
"Up there! Cranidos knock them down with Headbutt!" Coordinator Ash said, pointing at a large red Pokemon.
"He's not alone." Seer Ash said, seeing a white deer like Pokemon. "Rapidash use Stomp!"
Craniados charged forward, slamming into the rock spire, knocking the bug down, as Rapidash rushed at the deer, slamming its hooves into it, and knocking them back before galloping off.
"Go after that one, I've got this." Coordinator Ash said.
"Right, Rapidash, full speed!" Seer Ash said, hopping onto his fire type.
"Alright, just you and me Kricketune. Craniados use Pursuit!"
Craniados rushed forward, swiping at the large Kricketune as it leapt back.
"Keep using Pursuit!"
Cranidos kept swiping at the Kricketune as it leapt about the arena, dodging the attacks with ease.
"Cranidos is just too slow on his own, Sneasel help out with Ice Shard!" Coordinator Ash said, sending out another Pokemon.
Sneasel rushed ahead, leaping over Kricketune and launching a piece of ice right in the path of the bug, stopping it in its tracks before being struck by Craniados.
"Cranidos use Headbutt!"
Cranidos launched forward, slamming into the large Kricketune, shattering the ice on impact and knocking it out.
"Alright no plate, maybe that deer thing has it then?" Coordinator Ash said.
Meanwhile
"Alright Dex give me something, please tell me this is just a Pokémon from Johto that I don't know." Seer Ash said, riding Rapidash through the valley.
"No data found." The Pokédex said.
"Great. Pikachu get It's attention with a Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu leapt into Rapidash's head, unleashing a bolt of electricity at the large white deer, causing it to stumble before turning to face them.
"You know, I'm starting to think that attacking it might not have been a great option." Seer Ash said. "Rapidash use Fire Blast! Pikachu use Thunder!"
The two attacks launched at the deer as it burst through rushing straight at them.
"Rapidash use Fire Spin!"
Flames shot from Rapidash's mane, wrapping around the deer, stopping it in its tracks.
"Pikachu use Quick Attack!"
Pikachu leapt forward, slamming into the deer's horns and knocking them to the ground. The deer staggered, getting back up before launching Pikachu away into a nearby creek.
"Rapidash use Fire Blast!" Seer Ash called out in anger.
Rapidash raced forward, sending out a massive blast of fire at the deer, sending up a pillar of flames as she ran around it, letting Seer Ash off near the creek to check on Pikachu.
"Rapidash now use Stomp!"
Rapidash raced forward to slam on the deer only for a frighteningly large Rapidash to beat her to the punch or kick, now looking at Ash and the recovering Pikachu.
"New problem." Seer Ash said.
"What is with that thing, it's huge!" Coordinator Ash said running up.
"No clue, and it's not mine." Seer Ash said.
"Okay, large angry Pokemon with red eyes seem to be common here, but we can deal with this, it's still just a Rapidash." Coordinator Ash said.
"Right, and they're weak to water! Dewgong let's go!" Seer Ash called out.
"Milotic, take the stage! Use Water Pulse!"
"Dewgong use Surf!"
The two water types raced forward on the creek, dousing the large Rapidash in water.
"Now Milotic use Ice Beam!" Coordinator Ash exclaimed.
"You too Dewgong!" Seer Ash called out.
The two beams traveled up the wet fur of the giant Rapidash, slowly encasing it in ice.
"Double Thunderbolt?" Seer Ash offered.
"Double Thunderbolt." Coordinator Ash agreed.
"PIKACHU FINISH THEM OFF WITH THUNDERBOLT!" Both Ashs called out in unison.
The two bolts of electricity arched forward, breaking the Rapidash free and causing it to run away from the battle.
"That was awesome." Seer Ash said.
"Yeah, but we still didn't get the plate." Coordinator Ash said.
"Wyr." The deer said, walking over, seemingly fine.
"I don't think we're done." Coordinator Ash said.
"No, I think it has the plate." Seer Ash said. "Or at least knows where it is."
"You got all that from Wyr?" Coordinator Ash said in confusion.
"Not really, but you get the idea." Seer Ash said walking forward and opening his bag. "Here, we must have hurt you in that fight, we shouldn't have attacked you without reason." Seer Ash said, pulling out a Super Potion, and spraying one of the deer's legs.
"Wyr." The Pokemon winced for a moment before returning to its previous calm state and shaking its mane, a purple object being shaken loose.
"Is that?" Coordinator Ash asked.
"Looks like another plate, hopefully a good one too." Seer Ash said. "Thank you for this."
"Deer." The Pokemon said before running off.
"So why do you have a medical bag?" Coordinator Ash asked, taking note of how odd Seer Ash's bag is.
"Seriously, you want to know that now?" Seer Ash said, putting the plate in his bag for the time being.
"I'm just saying, you've got a lot of stuff!" Coordinator Ash said defensively.
