Emily let out a groan as she opened her eyes. The first thing she noticed was the painful throbbing in her arms.

It was a dull aching pain that made just lifting her arms a great effort. Emily closed her eyes and focused on the ring, and with a bit of reluctance, she used a tiny bit of the magic in the ring to soothe the pain in her arms.

With the pain dealt with, Emily sat up and looked down at the bracelet. She wasn't sure what to do with the wild magic. Emily reached out very gently and felt the magic in the charm.

She was ready to pull her magic away at a moment's notice, but as her magic made contact, the wild magic didn't react the horrible pain she was expecting thankfully didn't come.

Emily carefully pulled some of the magic out and transferred it to the ring, and there was still no change. She wasn't sure what had changed in the wild magic, but she was very happy.

Emily slowly transferred the magic out of the charm and into the ring, quickly filling it up. Even after filling it up, there was still a good amount left in the charm bracelet.

Emily was amazed at how much magic she had been able to get from the wild magic vain.

It had taken her over five months to fill up the small diamonds on the ring, and that was with her exhausting her magic to the point she passed out every night.

She couldn't wait for tonight. She would go fill both the charms up to the brim. With all three of them filled up, she would have access to the normal amount of magic her adult body used to have.

Enough to teleport around a few times per day, and create whatever jewellery or clothes that she wanted. Just the thought of all the stuff she could do was making her giddy.

A knock on the door broke her out of her daydreams.

"Emily, you up?" Charlie asked through the door.

"Yes, im up, dad. Give me a few minutes to get dressed," Emily called back.

Emily got out of bed and stipped down before going to get some clothes out of the suitcase but stopped and smiled to herself.

Drawing upon her magic, she conjured clothing to wear. Emily couldn't help but feel nostalgic as she did so. She had very rarely bought clothes in her last life, given she could make them at the drop of a hat.

Emily grabbed the soft black shirt, pulled it on, and pulled the underwear and jeans and pulled them on as well. The shirt was far warmer and better suited for the weather of Forks than anything that she had in her suitcase.

Emily was about to leave the room when she remembered Bella. Pulling on her magic, she created another identical shirt but this time in a dark blue.

Grabbing the shirt, Emily walked over to Bella's room and opened the door and peaked inside.

Bella looked up at the door, startled, before recognising Emily.

"Emily, I will be dressed in a moment," Bella said as she pulled clothing out of the suitcase.

"I think mom put this in my suitcase by mistake, as it's in your favourite colour," Emily said, holding out the dark blue shirt for Bella.

Bella walked over, looking interested, before she took the shirt from Emily.

"Wow, this is really soft," Bella said, running her hands over it.

"It's really warm as well. I will see you downstairs," Emily said as she closed the door, giving Bella some privacy to change.

Emily walked down the stairs and into the living room and saw Dad in the kitchen. Emily felt a little worried from what she could remember in the books Charlie didn't really know how to cook.

But as she walked into the kitchen, she was glad to see that Dad was limiting himself to making toast and putting cereal out.

"Angela's parents just rang. I told them that you would be free to meet at midday," Dad said as she sat down.

Emily frowned momentarily before remembering that she had told Angela that she would meet today.

"Okay," Emily said.

A moment later, Bella came into the kitchen.

Emily also noticed a look of relief on her face as well, seeing that Dad wasn't cooking.

"Will you be joining your sister today, Bella?" Charlie asked.

"You are going fishing, right?" Bella asked.

Dad nodded.

"Park sounds good," Bella said.

Emily and Bella looked out the window of the Weber house as they heard a car pulling up the drive.

"It seems your father is here," Mrs Weber said.

"Thank you for letting us come over today," Emily said with Bella smiling at Mrs Weber.

"Im glad you could come over. There aren't many girls the same age as Angela for her to play with. I hope you can come over a few more times while you are here," Mrs Weber said as she watched them putting their shoes on.

"Yes, that would be nice," Bella said, smiling at Angela.

Angela smiled back as Mrs Weber opened the door for Emily and Bella.

Emily and Bella left the house, walked to the police car, and climbed in.

"Did you have a good day," Dad asked as they shut the door of the car.

"Yes," Bella said as she put the belt on.

"How was the fishing?" Emily asked.

"Good, we caught a fair amount," Charlie said as he pulled out of the drive and headed home.

"Are you girls okay with a takeaway?" Charlie asked.

"Yes, takeaway is fine," Bella said as Emily nodded.

"Night, Bella," Emily said as she put her toothbrush into the cup on the sink.

"Night," Bella mumbled back as she brushed her teeth.

Emily walked into her room and climbed onto her bed. She didn't plan on sleeping tonight. She planned on going back to the wild magic vein and filling up the two charms on her bracelet.

Emily looked down at the ring and the two charms. She wished that she had a large natural diamond.

She wasn't sure why but gemstones that were man-made or made through magic could only store one-tenth of the magic that a natural gemstone could.

Though now she had found a vein of wild magic. Emily was sure that they were exposed to wild magic during the billions of years they took to form, making them better at absorbing magic.

The other thing Emily knew about gemstones was that a single large gemstone could store more than lots of smaller ones, even if they were the same carat overall.

But it wasn't like she had the money to go buy a large natural diamond. It would be years before she could get away with that.

While waiting for her sister and dad to go to sleep, Emily reached out to the ring to check on the wild magic. Thankfully the magic wasn't any different to this morning.

It didn't cause her any pain to interact with the magic. Looking over at the door, Emily applied a spell to the door that would make Bella and Charlie ignore the door.

With that done, Emily pulled on her own magic, silently vanished from her room, and appeared in the forest next to the rope swing.

Emily sat down on the ground and closed her eyes. She had a much easier time sensing the wild magic than last night.

She didn't rush to fill the charms on her bracelet. Instead, she went about feeling the wild magic and seeing if she could learn anything new about it.

Emily used her own magic to flow alongside the wild magic and could feel it flowing into the trees and the plants though out the land.

Emily opened her eyes and took a calming breath as her senses returned to herself. Emily shook her head, trying to get rid of the lightheaded feeling that she had.

Looking up at the sky, she could see that it was starting to get light and was surprised at how long she must have spent using her magic to sense the wild magic.

Strangely enough, she didn't feel tired remembering why she had come here in the first place. She used her magic to guide the wild magic into the charms on her bracelet.

Just like last night, it only took a few minutes before both the charms were saturated, and she cut off the wild magic.

Picking up the bracelet, she slipped it back on and pulled on her own magic and vanished from the woods and appeared in her room.

Three Weeks later

The past three weeks had pretty much been the same, with them either going down to La Push or staying at home or playing with Angela.

The problem with Forks was that there was not a lot to do, and once you had done it once, there was very little point in doing it twice. Fork's biggest selling point was all the hiking that was around.

But given their young age and Bella's ability to trip on flat ground, hiking was obviously out of the question. The nearest large town was Port Angeles which was an hour's drive away, making it not really an option.

Overall, Emily could see why Bella had started having Charlie come to Phoenix. She must have been bored as hell in Forks with nothing to do.

"Have you both got everything?" Charlie asked.

"Yes, we packed last night, Dad," Emily said, dragging her suitcase to the car.

"I just don't want you to forget anything. Do you have everything, Bella?" Charlie asked.

"Yes," Bella said, getting into the car.

"Okay, good," Charlie said as he placed the suitcases in the car and got in the driver's seat.

The trip back to the airport was a quiet one, and Emily spent the time wishing that the next few years would just fly by so she was old enough to have some independence.

Five Years later

Emily rolled out of bed with a yawn and looked around her room. Two years ago, when she and Bella were 12 years old, they told their mom that they needed their own room.

With some persuading, they had convinced their mom to clean out the storage room and turn it into a bedroom. Under her insistence, Bella had kept the bigger room they had shared, and she had taken the smaller room. After all, Bella was building up quite the book collection, and Emily was sure it would continue to grow.

They had just finished 8th grade and would be starting as freshmen in September.

Emily walked over to the wardrobe and started to get changed. Emily pulled out some running clothes and pulled them on. Looking down at her wrist, her bracelet had gone from having two charms to having ten charms. Also, her magic had also increased immensely in the last five years. It had gone from a small puddle to a large lake with a large river flowing from it.

It wasn't as large as it was in her first life. However, she was 18 years old in her old life, so the fact that she had almost the same amount of magic four years earlier made her want to jump for joy and made her look forward to how much magic she would have in the future.

The only problem now was storing her magic. Both her grandmother's ring and the then charms she had conjured weren't up for the job now that her magic had grown so much.

She could fill each of the charms in around two days if she drained herself dry of magic, meaning it only took a month to fill all ten of them, and the ring only took a week for her to completely fill. Altogether it gave her around 30 times her current mana pool that she would normally have. The problem was the density.

Each of the charms could only store three times her current mana pool, meaning that it only took a month to fill them up. As for the ring, it was about to store around eight times her mana pool. The major problem with the ring was the fact it was made up of many small diamonds. In total, will all the diamonds, she could store 38 times the amount of magic she would normally have.

Thankfully she was planning on buying a small necklace with a small diamond, hopefully around a single carat which should give her some breathing room for a while. After all, mana not saved was mana wasted as far as Emily was concerned. But other than the lack of ability to store her magic, she was still very happy with how her magic was growing and had even come up with many new spells.

In her past life, she hadn't really thought of using magic to defend herself or to attack people. Instead, she just used it to live a worry-free life.

But now she lived in a world with Vampires, Shapeshifters, Werewolves and who knows what else and due to Bella, she would no doubt be dragged into the supernatural world. After all, there was no way that she wouldn't protect her sister from scum like James and Victoria. And she was sure there were other vampires just like them in the world.

Thankfully she hadn't actually met any of the supernatural in the last five years. Then again, she did live in one of the sunniest places in America, so she doubted that vampires would ever come to this state, given they would spend half the day hiding from the sun.

As for Wearwovles, Emily vaguely remembered that they had been hunted by vampires and may even be extinct at this point. As for shapeshifters, she doubted they would care about her unless she started killing humans.

Moving on to her sister Emily was sure that some people would think she was crazy for not stopping Bella from getting involved with vampires and the supernatural world. However, if Edward was her soul mate, how could she stop her sister from meeting her soul mate what if that caused her to be alone for the rest of her life unhappy? And if, for some reason, Bella and Edward weren't soul mates, then she would protect her sister no matter what.

The only thing that Emily was upset about was the lack of wild magic near her. She had been hoping for a large magical vein, so when she did have larger gemstones to fill. She would be able to do so quickly.

However, the only ones that she had found were very weak and didn't have much magic in them, and filling up all the charms was enough to drain it dry. The first time she had done so, Emily had panicked, but after checking it over the next week, the magic slowly filled the vein back up.

Emily grabbed the house keys, slipped them into her pocket, and left the house, ensuring the door was locked. It hadn't been long since the sun had come up, so it was still quite cool, meaning she didn't need to use a cooling spell as she ran.

Emily had started running two years ago, even joining the cross-country running club at school. Something that she was hoping to continue as a freshman. It was the only way that her mom would allow her to practise running in the morning and night at her age, and she didn't want to lose that.

The first month of running was absolute hell, and she had wanted to quit many times. She had countless stitches, the taste of blood in her mouth, and the feeling of her lungs burning. It was only the thought of possibly having more mana that made her stick it with it.

However, after the first month, she found it much easier to run. Now, she could run for hours at a time and just feel out of breath. A recent discovery she had made was that she could make her mana flow throughout her body. Doing so allowed her to become stronger, faster and react quicker; however, there were many drawbacks. First, she would get tired much faster, and her body would be very sore. To the point that just moving was painful.

Her morning run would only take fifty minutes to get to her destination. The run took her just a short way out of the city in the mountains, a perfect place for her to practise her magic without drawing anyone's attention. Coming to the end of her run, Emily walked into the valley that she had used many times. There were some mannequins as targets a short distance away.

Emily raised her hand and channelled her magic into her hand, and a concentrated bolt of lightning burst from her hand and struck the mannequin instantly with the sound of thunder. A charred hole appeared in the mannequin, with smoke curling from the hole before it set on fire.

Emily was really happy with the spell. It was a very basic spell, and it was one that she could cast hundreds of times before her mana pool would be depleted. It packed a lot of power, and what Emily thought was the best thing about the spell was that it should be impossible to avoid.

In the books, the speed of vampires was very vague. It was at least 160 mph as Edward, at some point, ran from Forks to Port Angeles in 20 minutes. And when Alice and Bella went to Volterra, Alice said that flying was faster than running. So they couldn't run faster than a plane which is around 600 mph.

So she was almost certain that nothing on earth could dodge the lightning spell, given lightning travels at 270,000 mph. However, she didn't actually know if the lightning would do anything to a vampire. The books described their skin as granite as well as diamond-like, but it obviously wasn't made from rock or diamond. But maybe they would be burned to death from the heat of the lightning. As they seemed to be very flammable, or maybe that was just the venom.

Emily moved on to her next spell, and a ball of blue fire burst into existence in her hands that rocketed at the mannequin before crashing into it and exploding into a large fireball. Emily quickly cast a cooling charm on herself, knowing how hot the heat wave from the fireball would be.

The ground around the fireball started to glow orange from the heat, and the other mannequins near the fireball melted. Emily knew for a fact that if she hadn't used magic to protect herself from the heat, then she would have gotten many nasty burns from the heat of the fireball. Something she had learned the first time she had used the spell. Sure, it was simple to heal herself with magic, but she wouldn't injure herself on purpose.

After a few seconds, the fireball faded, and the ground in a ten-foot area around where the fireball had hit had turned into a thin layer of magma.

While Emily wasn't sure if the lightning spell would be a danger to the supernatural, she was sure however that even the supernatural wouldn't walk away unharmed from the blue fireball. Cost-wise, the spell didn't require much more mana than the lightning spell, but it was slower, and until she enchanted something with the cooling charm, it was risky for her to use it near herself. It was something that was on her to-do list.

And if fireball didn't work, she also had a spell to create a small ball of plasma, but that used over 45% of her current mana pool. However, that spell was really dangerous for her to use, and even with the cooling charm, it wasn't able to block all the heat, and that was from a distance of 30 feet.

However, anything that the small plasma ball touched or was near was instantly vaporised, no doubt due to the insane heat. Speed-wise, she was sure it was as fast as the lightning, if not faster, but at the speeds they moved, she wasn't able to tell as they both looked instantaneous.

And there was no way that she was going to try and boost her eyesight with magic in case it caused her to go blind or something.

Emily looked at the watch on her arm, wishing that she had more time to practice some more spells but seeing the time, she knew that she had to start running back or she would have to teleport back home, something that she tried to avoid. She didn't want to risk people seeing her appear from thin air. Time was her major problem. She had thought of several new magic spells but didn't have the time to practice them.

She had promised her mom that she would be back by 9 am, and she never risked being late in case she was banned from running altogether in the morning. The run back took a bit longer as it had gotten slightly warmer, but she still managed to make it back with 20 minutes to spare. Looking around the house, it seemed that no one else was awake.

Emily let out a sigh wishing she could have spent more time practising her magic spells. Emily hoped that as she got a bit older, she would be allowed to stay out longer that or she would have to start sneaking out at night.

Emily walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower before stripping down and throwing her running clothes into the laundry basket with her name on it. Stepping out of the shower, Emily wrapped the towel around her and opened the door.

"Morning," Mom called from the kitchen.

"Morning," Emily called back.

After getting dressed, Emily walked into the kitchen and grabbed some of the pancakes that had been left for her and Bella.

"How was your run?" Mom asked as she took a seat at the table.

"Good, but I think I may need to make it longer. The distance isn't difficult for me any more," Emily said as she started to eat breakfast.

"I don't know. I am worried about you running early in the morning," Mom said, sounding unsure.

"What if I just add some laps around central park?" Emily asked.

"I will think about it," Mom said as Bella walked into the room.

"Morning, Mom, Emily," Bella greeted as she took the last of the pancakes.

"Morning, sweetie," Mom greeted back.

"Did you enjoy your run?" Bella asked.

"Yes, you sure I can't get you to join me?" Emily asked teasingly.

"Not a chance that would be even worse than ballet," Bella rejected.

Emily couldn't help but smile at the few times that Bella had tried doing Ballet. Emily didn't know what was wrong with Bella's balance; even doctors didn't have an answer.

Emily knew that she could enchant a ring to help Bella with her balance, but they didn't have the money to buy one, and Emily wouldn't be able to explain where she got one if she used magic to conjure one.

Something she was hoping to change in the next few years. Or, at the very least, she needed to get Bella some by the time she was 17, as that was when she would be in real danger.

"Im off out. I will see you later," Emily said, placing her dish in the sink.

"Where you off out?" Mom asked.

"With some friends," Emily called back as she opened the door.

"Be back by 4," Mom called as she shut the door.

Emily cast a cooling charm over herself and made her way down the street. She had already scouted out the many jewellery stores near her. Emily was glad that she could conjure money as there was no way, with her pocket money, she would be able to buy any real jewellery. It wasn't that they didn't get a good amount of pocket money for girls their age.

Both she and Bella got fifteen dollars per week, and then they got five dollars if they did well on their homework, and if there were exams during that week, as long as they got a B or above, they would get another fifteen. If they got a C or D, then they would get seven dollars.

So both she and Bella both earned twenty dollars in pocket money per week, and they both always managed to get B's or better in their exams. But even if she saved her pocket money for the entire year, she would only be able to get around one thousand and two hundred dollars. With that, she wouldn't even be able to afford a single ring with a 1-carat diamond.

She really missed her necklace from her first life. She had spent a lot of time and money finding a natural 10-carat diamond. It would be many years before she could even think about buying something like that. After all, how could she explain where a quarter of a million dollars came from?

Though she did remember that Aro sent Bella a diamond the size of a golf ball, the thought of a natural diamond like that made her drool in desire.

It didn't take Emily very long before she was walking by the main road and toward the only mall in the city thankfully, it had a total of nine jewellery stores for her to pick from. By the time she had gotten to the mall, most of the shops had only been open for an hour, so they weren't busy. Walking into the first store, Emily ignored the strange looks some of the staff gave her.

"Hello, can I help you?" a staff member asked.

"Yes, I want a ring resizing, and I am also looking to buy a necklace," Emily asked.

"Do you know your ring size?"

"Yes, it's 4.5. This is the ring I wish to resize," Emily said, handing the ring to the staff member.

"Okay, well, let's go see," the staff member said, leading Emily to the counter.

"Do you know what metal it is?" the staff member asked.

"Nope, it was my grandmothers," Emily replied.

Emily watched as the staff member used a tool to check the size of the ring as well as the type of metal.

"It will be 40 dollars to have it resized is that okay?" the staff member asked.

"Yes, do you know how long it will take?" Emily asked.

"I can check for you," the staff member said as she handed the ring back to Emily.

"Can I pay and get it booked in first?" Emily said, pulling out two 20-dollar bills.

"Sure," the staff member said.

Emily had to give her name and address, and the staff member wrote down the description of the ring. With all the details taken, she gave Emily a receipt, and Emily paid the 40 dollars for the resize.

"Right, let me go ask how long this will take. You also wanted to buy a necklace as well?" the staff member asked, sounding a little disbelieving.

"Yes, let me have a look around," Emily said.

"Okay, call me if you need any help. My name is Sara," Sara said.

"Okay, thank you, Sara," Emily said as she put the receipt away and started looking around the store.

Looking at most of the displays, Emily didn't find anything that fit what she was looking for as she wanted a single stone, not many little stones. It wasn't till she was in the sale section that she found something that fit what she was looking for. The actual design of the necklace didn't matter at all, as she could change that easily.

A necklace with a pendant with a single diamond that was 1 carat. The setting of the diamond was also a bezel set, giving plenty of areas around the sides and on the back for her to add runes should she want to.

Looking around, she saw Sara, who noticed her looking around and walked over.

"The ring will be done by tomorrow. Have you found something?" Sara asked.

"Yes, this necklace," Emily said, pointing it out in the display.

"Okay, are you sure, Miss? This necklace is $1172. We have cheaper options," Sara asked.

Emily could see why it was in the sale section. After all, the diamond wasn't very clear. With it having a noticeable tint, it also had quite a few flaws making the clarity quite low. It was most likely an SI2-level diamond however, the cut seemed to be quite good. But there was no way she could afford better. All the other necklaces had been $1700 and above for the same carat, so she wasn't getting anything better than how the stone looked.

"Yes, I am sure. Can I buy it?" Emily asked.

"Of course, let me ring it up for you," Sara said, walking behind the display and removing the necklace.

Emily followed Sara over to the till as she removed twelve 100 dollar bills from her purse and handed them over to Sara. She had only conjured 1000 dollars, so she was glad that she brought her saving with her as well. Emily ignored how Sara checked every bill to ensure they weren't fake before putting them into the till and getting her change.

"Here you go," Sara said, handing Emily the change, receipt and the necklace in a small box.

"Thank you. I shall see you tomorrow to pick up my ring," Emily said as she turned and left the store.

Emily made her way to the public bathroom and walked into a stall, and opened the necklace box.

Emily was over the moon that she had managed to get such a large single diamond for so little money. She had been expecting to get something more like 0.80 caret for 1000 dollars sure, she did have to add an extra 200 dollars, but she was sure that if this wasn't on sale, it would have been closer to 1500.

Emily put the necklace on and decided that she couldn't wait to fill it with magic, so much so that she decided that she would teleport to Forks and fill it up as soon as possible. With her necklace in place, Emily left the bathroom and walked out of the mall. She knew that she couldn't teleport till she was in a place where she wouldn't be caught on CCTV or where people would see her.

It wasn't till she had gotten to the park that she felt safe enough to teleport. Emily made her way into the trees and then vanished and reappeared next to the rope swing in the forest on the Quileute reservation. Emily paused for a moment as the dizziness faded and took a seat on the ground. Emily reached up and took the necklace off, and placed it on the ground.

Emily carefully reached out with her magic and started to guide the wild magic into the necklace. It took over 15 minutes to fill, and Emily noticed for the first time that the magic vein was noticeably weaker, something that she hadn't been able to do with her ring and charms.

Showing just how much magic was now in the necklace. If she had to guess, she was sure that the necklace now had 30 times her current mana pool.

Emily waited a few moments before picking the necklace up and fastening it back around her neck. Getting to her feet and was about to draw on the magic stored in the charms to teleport away before a voice called out.

"Emily?" Leah's voice asked, making her freeze in shock before she turned around.

Leah and Emily stood next to her, looking surprised and confused to see her.

"Hi Leah, Emily..." Emily said awkwardly as she regretted being so impatient.
