Chapter 2
Dick woke up on the concrete floor his shoulder throbbing and soaked in blood, he pulled himself to his feet for the first time he had a chance to survey the room, a long corridor with fifteen door on either side with another door at the end, each of the doors hung open the rooms beyond looked like jail cells but all seemed to be empty. In front of him on the floor was what remained of the scientist the remains had been mutilated and were almost unrecognizable as human. Dick started walking the length of the hallway through the final door seemed to be some form of lab as he passed the door labeled 30 he noticed a dark form on the floor inside cautiously he stepped inside, on the floor was a pale teenage girl with dark hair loosely covered in a cheap black blanket she wasn't wearing anything other then the blanket and other than her it seemed to be the only thing in the room, Dick leaned down next her to check if she was even alive he slide his glove off and checked a pulse it was weak but was there her skin was cold, he also held his hand an inch from her mouth and felt her exhale on his hand, He wrapped her in the blanket and scooped her up off the floor, he carried her to the elevator and took it up to the ground floor he swiped a Jacket hoodie that had been left on the back of a chair and carried the girl to his motorcycle in the alley a block down where he'd stashed it he slid her into the sidecar and slide back open to reveal the tinted bulletproof glass panel to cover the passenger he deposited the hooded into the cab and pulled the glass panel shut over his passenger before jumping onto the bike and driving off down the road toward the newer parts of the city.
Dick arrived at the Waynetech Private airport minutes after his conversation with Bruce, he had been at his appartement and had changed his clothes along with finding some clothes his girlfriend Barbara Gordan had left during her last visit to clothe the child they were way to big but he figured they were better than nothing it took him a minute to get her and his suit into his car and then he was off. The plane was prepped by the time he got there, Alfred Pennyworth Bruce's Butler stood at the bottom of the steps to the plane, Dick approached him carrying the girl in his arms,
"Master Grayson What is going on?" Alfred Asked as he rushed to take the child from Dick
"If I'm being honest I'm not sure I know, I found her in some form of holding cell in a lab but I can't be sure of much else" Dick let Alfred carry the girl onto the plane since his shoulder was still stinging from the bullet he'd taken,
"Let's get you back to the Manor Master Grayson, we'll take care of that shoulder on the way" Richard smiled he'd missed Alfred, he took a look at the Star city skyline before stepping onto the plane, Richard Grayson was on his way home to Gotham City.
