Dick bandaged Vavs wound, He and Barbara had discussed restraint's but since Vav had at least the appearance of a child neither could bring themselves to completely commit to the idea, so they decided to just keep their guard's up. Dick had agreed to watch over Vav to be sure nothing else happened. It was about an hour after he had laid her back to bed that she woke up again, this time she sat up and searched the room with her bright blue eyes, before noticing Dick who was sitting in a chair near the bed.
"Who are you? Where am I?" She asked her voice panicked and scared. Dick held his hands up,
"My name is Richard Grayson, We are not trying to hurt you" He paused "We found you in an underground lab and brought you to a safe house in metropolis" Dicks answer seemed to confuse Vav.
"What country is metropolis?" She asked "Metropolis is a city in America" Dick answered now questioning how long she had been held for. She seemed to be questioning the information,
"How did we get to America so quickly?" Dick was thrown by this question.
"We found you in Star City Usa" Vav's face paled even more as she processed this information, She was suddenly completely still.
"Vav, Vav! are you ok" Dick rushed to the side of the bed, she was barely breathing when he got there she was barely breathing, and her eyes were filled with tears she was shaking slightly. Dick pulled her face to his chest his shirt wet on contact as tears dripped from her eyes.
"It's ok" He whispered.
It was half an hour later, Vav sat on the couch with Dick and Barbara across on chairs they'd pulled from around the table.
"Did Vav hurt you?" The girl asked noticing the marks on Barbara's neck,
"I'll be fine" She answered "Are you not Vav, you seem different and your eyes, they're blue" Barbara had been surprised when she entered the bedroom to find the girl sobbing in Dicks arms.
"No Vav is something different entirely I have no control over her" She paused took a breath and continued "Vav is the demon part of me she is devoted to the idea that we are intended for the single purpose of destroying this world and turning all living creatures on it into submissives to the dark lord Trigon, one of the former general's of the underworld" Dick and Barbara looked at each other before returning their attention to the girl on the couch.
"So presumably you have a name as well?" Dick said "Actually I don't know that I do, I can't remember much before my captivity, I have a vague memory of a family though not my own around a table I don't recall anything about them though" She seemed to be trying hard to remember anything she could before remembering the two other people in the room "They called me project Raven at the facility"
"Do you know what they wanted from you?" Barbara asked "They wanted to control Vav and her powers" Suddenly she seemed really tired everything seemingly taking its toll on her.
"Maybe we should get you back to bed"Barbara suggested than paused "How's Alice sound just till we find your real name?"
"Alice I think I knew someone named Alice but I dont remember her, yeah I'm ok with Alice" She said she seemed to be drifting off as she said this.
The building shook as a defening explosion could be heard from outside, everything went dark.
