When a rose turns black, Chapter 9
Amid the darkness, an infamous mage stands. He was muttering in an unknown language. Likely, he is chanting spells in an old language or something familiar. He has been muttering the same words Since no one knows for how long.
People know this mage as Ashure. A hated person, a hated mage as well. Everyone in this land knows him and hates him alike. He had never done something good. Everyone knows his deeds. The plants, the animals, the sky, and the trees know his deeds and curse his existence.
But, that didn't stop him from reaching his goals. Nor, Stopped him from trying. He doesn't care about what people gossip about him. He pays no mind to them. In all likelihood, it would be the last thing he'll ever care of.
Now, all he cares about is reaching his goals. Is to find the right child to claim the lost treasures of the land. The right child for the ritual. He must find a specific child known as the Zoris. the special children in the old languages and sorcery books. He knows the features of these children. But, every time he finds a child he makes sure to check his face to recognize the features of the Zoris.
Ashure lost count of how many times he sacrificed countless Children for his goal. He forgot their faces, and their names, and most importantly, he took the lives of countless innocent helpless little creatures. He did a lot of uncountable despicable deeds. Yet, he shows no regret. He vowed to himself that he will be the richest man ever. Even richer, than King Midas. He swore he will be the most powerful man, who walked on earth. He will be rich and powerful with the knowledge of magic. Asher's goal is despicable. He will sacrifice and offer many children as possible to get what he wants.
Even to other mages. Ashure ro'bey is disgusting to the core.
To this day, he still tries to achieve his goals. His only goal. His sole goal in this life. The only thing he asked from the moment of his youth to adulthood. To find the lost treasures of Virginia. Most people now consider the lost treasures of Virginia as a tale, A myth. But to Ashure it's not a myth, it is real. And it will be all for him. He is a greedy man. And, his greed will one day kill him
"Łärć ÄŃĒ ëæm œëdß. Ńÿmœxż." Ashure chanted in an old language. He chanted a spell that shows him who are the zoris' children nearby. But their faces are blurred because they are protected by some kind of dark entity that doesn't love or adore children. Ashure grits his teeth in irritation. He knows whose entity is this
And why he is doing this. This dark entity did this just to toy with Ashure. This dark entity never wanted Ashure to complete his goal. He hates him to the bone.
It turns out that this dark entity is none other than Raquol. The demon of desolation, the chaos bringer. Raquol never loves humans or their young. But he only does this to mess with the mage. It is his hobby to toy with Lucifer worshippers and annoys the crap out of them.
"I recognize you! you disgusting fiend!" Ashure snarled. He grits his death in absolute irritation.
"Disgusting fiend? Ha! Says the mage who hunts children for gold! If anyone is disgusting it's you" Raquol shot back. His voice echoed in the place. It is so near. That it scared the mage.
Then Raquol proceeded to laugh loudly mocking him. Accompanied by the laughter of other demons at Raquol's side. The laughter did not stop. It was heard for moments until it slowly disappeared.
This only angered Ashure more than ever. He swore vengeance. He will have his revenge against this entity of chaos.
But how? The mage thought. He can't reach Raquol knowing that bastard is powerful and protected by demonic magic and his demon guards and loyalists too. It is impossible to do this.
Ashure Ro'bey sits and takes his time thinking about what to do to stop Raquol from interfering and ruining his goals and work.
An idea popped into his mind. He must gather his friend mages and sorcerers as well. To put an end for Raquol.
"What do we do with him?" Asked Ashure. As he interlocks his fingers together.
All the mages in the meeting room start to think of a solution to this problem. No one seems to have a solution to this problem. But, one of the mages suggested throwing Raquol into a dimension that he can't return to Virginia ever again. All of the mages in the room approved of this suggestion. They all applaud him for such thinking.
"What an intelligent idea!" Ashure muttered
"It is just a simple humble suggestion!" the mage mumbled.
"Simple? No! It is a perfect solution! Finally, we can get rid of that bastard forever!" Ashure declared
"Yes" the other mage muttered
"Be ready! It's time for us to fight back!" Ashure announced
"Yes, sire!" all of them replied
It's been a wonderful, strenuous day for Hadi Aepel. It's been two days since he left his family for the trip. He will admit it openly that he missed his family. Although, that it had been two days since he left. They say that feelings are uncontrolled and keen they are right.
He sighs. He will return in a week. He is enjoying his time in the place he is in now. his friends help him and talk with him in the night around the campfire. Telling each other stories of horror and mythical creatures that reside nearby. Some of them shudder at the mention of the mythical creatures. The one who tells the stories laughs mockingly at them and states they are just myths not real. He chuckles at this. Tonight. It's Mister Peitz's turn to tell them a story or another "myth". Hadi is too eager to listen to his story. Near the sputtering, warming campfire.
Hadi did all of his work quickly. He fed the sheep, organize his back, then finally in the night. he made the campfire and brings the snacks.
But there is something. A faint feeling in his heart tells him to stay away from Mister Peitz.
This feeling kept nagging him since the moment he saw Mister Peitz. He has no explanation for this. From his fair point of view. Mister Peitz is a nice person. He did nothing to annoy him or harass him. But still. There is always this unknown. Concerning feeling. A protecting intuition in any human being. It doesn't lie. Because it tells the truth. He still can't figure out why he feels something bad about Mister Peitz. Who knows what will happens? But, time will tell.
Now, its Mister Peitz turn to tell a story. Whether its horror, Fantasy,or drama it is up to him.
"There was a beautiful woman. They called her the ebony rose. So beautiful that she attracts every man attention." Mister Peitz started.
Everyone in the campfire is interested in the story. So they stopped the side talks and listen to him
Then, Mr Peitz continued" But beauty comes with a great threat. One of the suitors that she rejected had threatened her. Whether he marries her or die" Mr Peitz resumes telling the story. Everyone still seems interested in his story.
"But! the man who threatened her had "mysteriously" died!" Mr. Peitz told them.
All of them gasped and they guessed who did it
"So! They assumed it was the woman who he had threatened! But she also mysteriously died!" Mr. Peitz added. All of them gasped at hearing this. It is a weird story. Both sides died. The man and the woman.
Yet again. This nagging concerning feeling crept into Hadi's heart once again. He still can not put his finger on it. The feeling is uncomfortable. It is upsetting, troubling, and relentless. He asked the remained one for solace and guidance.
Donovan is waiting for the witch-hunter to arrive. He is being waiting so patiently for him to come. He is very patient with his guest arrival.
It's been a while since Donovan waited patiently or Eagerly for someone. It's like a hunter or prey game. But we all know that Donovan is the hunter and the hunter is the prey.
It's been a while since Donovan played a game with someone. A delightful interesting game with someone. Let alone, A game that the loser will lose his life. Soon, the fun is about to begin.
The torment never stops it continues like an eternity. The tormented man craves death, It is the only salvation from his torment and pain. The whip lashed at him as a knife cut deep through the flesh, It is all the same. The tormentor comes always to torment the poor old man. She whips him more than a few times. Leaving him bleeding, then when loses consciousness. She comes to tend his wounds like nothing ever happens.
The old man is always tormented. In the same place. In the same way. and, at the same time of the day.
He prays for either of the two death or flight. He knows that he will get the first choice which is death. But he accepted his fate a long time ago. Since his imprisonment. He will be most faithful and the most resistant to evil. He knows that the faithful are most of the people who get to endure the worst in their lives. He will happily accept this. He will accept what comes to him or is thrown at him. He is the most faithful, believer of all. And his salvation is yet to come.
Mister Peitz just finished telling his bizarre tale. Parts of Mister Peitz wonders that did anyone in here figure out his story and what it means. Or figure out what happens? Parts of him question this. But he is glad that he got a chance to tell such an eerie and unexplainable ending. But he is looking forward to Hadi's story which will be tomorrow. He can't wait for it.
It's never been a long time until all the men near the campfire yawn, they are tired. Then they go to sleep. Hadi got up and stamped out the campfire. After, he makes sure that the fire is out. He goes to fetch his sleeping bag to sleep somewhere near the recently put-off campfire. As he is yawning. Everything is silent. And silent in the night means everything is fine. They are in a place walled up by huge walls. Nothing to fear as long as they are protected. It is perfectly fine.
And they can't be ungrateful for that. It is the contrary. They are grateful for the existence of the walls.
But for some unknown reasons. Mister Peitz couldn't sleep. Instead, he stayed up for an hour. To watch the sky. The bright twinkling of the stars. The silent night. and the cool wind of the night. It is a time of serenity and tranquility. He wondered how can something dark be so beautiful? How can the night be the calm time of the day? He lost track of time when he stayed up star-gazing. But he didn't regret it at all. It is the contrary. He stayed up to watch the night sky and the stars to refresh his lungs with the refreshing wind of the night. In fact, he will do this forever. He loved it, he adore this feeling.
He finally found another hobby than Shepherding the sheep. As the light of the down beams in the atmosphere. It gives new hope. A brand new day comes and shines to the surface
But no one knows for sure, what tomorrow brings of promises. No one knows what tomorrow will bring or have in store.
