In front of him, Hercules looks at him seriously as he swings his club and then points it at Jeffrey.
In response, Jeffrey runs to him as he pulls a knife out of his bag.

God and Human repeat this action for several seconds, until both distance themselves, before running towards each other with a prepared cut and swing.
When the club and the knife collide, a flash is produced that blinds everything.
the screen finally shows Hercules and Jeffrey face to face.

Chapter 16. The God of Strength.
Thebes, Greece, Original World.
2000 BC

The sound of the hooves of the divine steed of the god of war touching the ground of the earth resounded with force throughout the town of Thebes….no, throughout Greece.
THE PUNISHMENT THAT AWAITS HUMANITY.
The inhabitants of Thebes, on top of their city wall, watched as the army of angels led by Ares, the God of War, advanced slowly but steadily, each step they took toward them resounding as if It was a lightning strike to the earth.
HUMANITY FELL IN DESPAIR.
The humans on the wall were terrified, one of them took a step back with his eyes and mouth open, one of them raised a hand, straight to his chest, and another one had his eyes and fists closed, all shared a great expression of shock. Terror plastered on their faces.
SURRENDERING TO THE WILL OF THE GODS.
Castor's mouth and eyes were open, sweat dripping from his forehead as his eyes began to water.
A woman next to him was holding tightly her baby in her arms who wouldn't stop crying, her face expressed a great deal of sorrow and fear.
An older man put his hands together and intertwined them in prayer, although his look expressed that it was useless to hope that something good would happen to them.
And he was not the only one, because in the city, several people got on their knees, or prostrated themselves on the ground trying to pray.
AND TRUSTED IN NOTHING MORE THAN PRAYERS AND SUPPLICATIONS...

The people on the wall looked in amazement at the man standing in front of the wall facing the god.

-What is that idiot doing? -said one of the inhabitants of Thebes incredulously looking at Alceus.
Alceus, at that moment, ran out in the direction of the god and his army who looked at him impassively without much to expect from him.
Ares just leaned forward looking in the human's direction, there was amusement on his face.
Alceus leaped into the air, letting out a war cry with his left hand in front of him as his right arm brought him back in preparation for a blow.

But when I least expect it, the god just planted his foot against Alcaeus's face, stopping him dead in his tracks.

Ares only snorted as he settled back into his seat, and without further ado, he again began to move towards Thebes.
-ah… ..aaah … they are coming -said an inhabitant in a trembling voice while he saw how the army of the god was going in his direction.

But then, a loud bang resounded, it was made by the club hitting the ground hard.

Alceus looked in agony towards the sky, the flesh of his face seemed to be burning or deforming, causing him a great amount of pain that only made him scream more.

The soldier froze in midair, his mouth clamped shut at the blow, but within seconds, his lower jaw shot out of his bloody mouth, the giant's body began to hunch backwards.
The citizens of Thebes stared in disbelief, some with their mouths open, others with their hands to their chests, while Alcaeus looked at his club which he held high in the air.

Alceus, in response, hunched his body back slightly as he clenched his teeth, then thrust his head forward to intercept the god's punch.
A shock wave was produced by the impact of the god's fist against the human's face.
Through gritted teeth, Ares watched as Alcaeus, unfazed, clenched both of his fists and launched a right hand at the god first. The blow hit Ares squarely in the face, who turned his face to the right due to the impact received.
-(No… I can't believe it) –thought Ares incredulously with his face, slightly deformed by the blow, while with his open right eye he looked at the human.

But once the dust and dirt in the area cleared up, Alceus and Ares were revealed surprised and shocked, the human's eyes were incredibly wide and with a grimace on his lips, while Ares's eyes were also open, but also his mouth in an expression of disbelief and some fear.
