Shadow Joestar: I know I could've done better than that, but the Pro Heroes have forgotten what being a hero is all about. All Might didn't forget, but the media? Come on, that's not something a hero would do.
Anyway, I'm planning to a chapter where Batman gets to meet an enemy that turned himself into a humanoid Bat: Man-Bat. Also, if any of you guys got ideas of a hero, let me know so I'll add up a character and abilities.
I don't own the series of My Hero Academia or the series of Justice League.
On Leather Wings
At night in the city, the police are patrolling the streets in case the villains ever cause trouble, which apparently, everything seems quiet and not a single villain ever arrived. Even on air where they have the Police Blimp for patrolling in the air while keeping an eye on the ground. However, the police heard a sound that's coming from the detector which it got his attention.
"You see that?"
"See what?"
"I had a bleep. It just goes to the cross of the screen."
"I don't see anything."
"It was there! Whatever it is must've right below us."
Then, the mysterious flying figure flew up to the passing the Police Blimp.
"There it is!"
"There what is?"
"It looked like...Bat wings."
"'Bat Wings'?! Okay, take us up through those clouds, just in case."
And with that, they flew the Police Blimp up through the clouds up in the sky to find a flying figure but saw nothing.
"Sorry, kid. There's nothing up there."
"I swear I saw it! Something was flying around up here!"
Apparently, the rookie cop was right about it when a hybrid bat flew through the city, passing the structures of the buildings and heading towards the Pharmaceutical Laboratory, where the security guard is patrolling along during his night shift, but he was working on his recorder, something to keep himself entertained and try to stay awake.
"Testing 1, 2, 3. Testing 1, 2, 3. Testing 1, 2, 3. You too can fulfill the dream of being high-paid radio personality here in your spare time, just like me. Just call...Ahem...Just call the Mustafu Institute of Broadcast Arts. Yeah, that's better. Call the Mus-"
Before he could finish his recording, the security officer heard a loud sound that's coming from the inside of the lab. It got the security guard nervous as he turns around and cautiously head towards to the noise to investigate. The security guard looked at the office, and noticed that no one is in the room which it got him sighed with relief. Just as he continues to investigate further, a bat hybrid revealed itself out of the shadows and sneak up to the security guard from behind. The security guard stops and nervously turns around, noticed the bat hybrid and it got him panicked with a scream.
"Get away!"
The bat hybrid growls, swiping the security guard with its wing which it got him dropping the voice recorder. The security guard takes a few steps back, but noticed a chair as he throws it at the bat hybrid. The bat hybrid dodged it, causing the chair to smash the window and towards the water. The bat hybrid then grabs hold of the security guard and tossed him over the window.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!?"
The security guard then crash towards the water.
After the report of the break in at the Pharmaceutical Laboratory, Barbara Gordon read the newspaper which it got her furious about the report. She then threw the newspaper towards the desk and walk towards the Detective of the Police, Eizo Tanuma.
Eizo is an older man with short dark hair and is starting to get bald because he has a receding hairline, and a thin beard. He wore a dark-colored suit, a black waistcoat and a plain tie.
"I didn't authorize this statement, Detective." Barbara points out, turns to him.
"Commissioner, they asked me some questions. All I did is give them answers." Eizo informed her.
"You gave them without my approval." Barbara remarked with a serious glare. "If you'd kept quiet, he wouldn't know we're moving against him."
"It doesn't matter, because I'll find him." Eizo states, stood up from his seat and turns to the President.
The President is a middle-aged woman with a stoical and steely expression, possessing a set of turquoise eyes and ash blonde hair that is slick back. She wears a black suit jacket and dress along with purple shirt and a necklace.
"I just need a little extra help, President." Eizo told her.
"What kind of help?" The President inquires.
"I want my own tactical squad and a Pro Hero for the sole purpose to capture this Batman." Ezio informed her.
"Commissioner?" President inquires, turns to Barbara.
"I've already denied the request." Barbara answered. "Nobody is taking a vigilante force in this city."
"Principal Nezu? What are your thoughts?" President inquires, turns to the Principal.
Nezu is a stout man who appears to be a possible combination of several different animals, including a dog, a mouse, and a bear, which would make him a chimera. He has the head of a mouse with circular black eyes, a large scar over the right one, relatively rectangular-shaped ears with pale pink insides slanting outwards from the top of his head, and an elongated muzzle with a small round nose. His fur is white and has large dog-like paws with pink pads and a thin tail like a cat. He wore a white dress suit, dark red tie around his neck, black double-breasted waistcoat and matching dress pants. He wears an orange lace-up sneakers with incredibly thick soles which seem to be quite large.
"I would consider of capturing Batman, but after what the Commissioner told me of his heroic work which it's highly commendable for keeping the damages minimum and saving the citizens, but breaking the bones of a villain is a bit overboard." Nezu pondered. "However, as a professional, it is still illegal to work as a hero without a license. Vigilantism is a crime."
Barbara can only groan in annoyance, reminder of the vigilantism.
"I cannot send All Might because it will cause some damage to the building if Batman strikes again." Nezu continues. "So, I asked someone else who can."
"If not All Might, then who?" Eizo inquires.
"Edgeshot." Nezu answered as Edgeshot revealed himself from the shadow. "He's close to the description between close combat and his Quirk."
Edgeshot is a slim muscular man who stands a bit shorter than most of his top-class piers. He has grey hair shaped into three sharp points that cover the right side of his face and dark gray eyes, and he wears a mask over his lower face, covering his nose and mouth. His attire adapts the appearance of a traditional ninja. He wears a blue mask that covers his mouth, tied at the back of his head with red yarn. He sports red shinobi shozoku underneath a blue robe. His arms are covered in thin dark cloth that tucks into his white forearm sleeves. There are red starps attached to his belt and his robe that extends outward. He has a gold mask attached to his shoulder and sports a signature red scarf that features a white patch attached to the front of it. He finishes his costume with blue socks and yellow zori sandals.
"Commissioner." Edgeshot greets her respectfully, then turns to the others. "What Nezu said is maybe true about vigilantism, but Batman didn't threw the security guard over the window at the lab."
"President, anyone who dresses like Batman is going to snap sooner or later." Eizo told her.
"Detective, it's just not Batman's MO." Barbara points out.
"And we don't even know if Batman really did threw the him over the window last night." Edgeshot adds, agreeing to the Commissioner.
"Oh yeah? Well, tell that to the guy who just tossed out of the window." Eizo retorted.
"I think we can spare a few men, Commissioner." President informed her. "Detective Tanuma does have a reputation for getting the results. I'm authorizing the strike force. Anything else, Detective?"
"Just make sure the DAs office can give me an airtight case." Eizo replied.
"And if you ever did capture Batman, we'll give him an offer to either join the U.A. or be sent to jail." Nezu told the Detective.
Just as when both Barbara Gordon and Edgeshot left the office, the Commissioner can only sighed while rubbing her eyes.
"That Tanuma, stubborn as ever." Barbara groaned in annoyance. "He better be lucky I didn't fired him since it's the Chiefs choice."
"I can understand that." Edgeshot said. "However, I should consider investigating the Pharmaceutical Laboratory and see if I can find anything."
"You do that." Barbara said, turns to him. "And if you see Batman when you have the chance, warn him."
Edgeshot gave her a nod as he left the building. Apparently, Barbara has deep respect towards Edgshot because he helped her and Bruce Wayne train Ethan, Emily, and James in martial arts, ninjutsu, and stealth. The three put it to use during their vigilante work and made Edgeshot proud when he watched them progress.
At the Wayne Manor inside of the Batcave, Ethan was reading a newspaper after suit up as Batman while Bruce walk towards with a cup of tea.
"Japan Police declares war on Batman." Ethan said, reading the newspaper.
"Sounds like someone put you up to it last night." Bruce informed him seriously. "You were patrolling in the city, fighting against those thugs."
Ethan can only respond by smirking.
"Somebody is setting me up." Ethan states.
"Right, you didn't throw the security guard over the window." Bruce points out.
"I only toss butlers, old man." Ethan joked when Bruce chuckled a bit while he turns to the computer, showing the information of the stolen materials at the pharmaceutical companies. "According to this, there were only two very quiet burglars in other pharmaceutical companies this week. Nobody heard like last night, but chemicals stolen just the same."
"And you suspect someone took them?" Bruce asks when Ethan stood up from his chair.
"Only one way to find out." Ethan said, placed his utility belt on his waist and headed towards the Batmobile.
"I'll cancel your rendezvous with...Tsuyu, was it?" Bruce inquires with a smirk.
"Yes, old man, do that." Ethan suggests as he rush towards the Batmobile, hops on, and speed drives his way out of the Batcave and making his way towards the Pharmaceutical Laboratory to conduct an investigation.
After a few minutes driving, Batman was at the top of the building and looking at the Pharmaceutical Laboratory. Batman then noticed that he's not alone because Edgeshot approaches him.
"Edgeshot." Batman greets respectfully.
"Batman." Edgeshot greets back. "I see you came to conduct an investigation of this assailant."
Batman nods with a respond.
"I'm here to warn you. The police force, including Detective Tanuma, are coming after you." Edgeshot informed him. "The Commissioner is taking the matters into her own hands and making her own case at the other Pharmaceutical Laboratory."
"Two of the Pharmaceutical Labs have a break-in this week, mostly stolen chemicals." Batman told him. "And I'm going to find out why."
Batman then pulls out his Batclaw and fires into the top of the building and pulls himself towards the window while Edgeshot used his Quirk to turn himself into a thin and long strings to attach the building and does the same.
Two of the scientists walked out of the room which they're about to make love, but they notice Batman is flying his way towards the building while Edgeshot swiftly went to the building.
"He's back!'
"I'll call the police!"
As Batman and Edgeshot managed to get inside of the lab and went into the room, he quietly cracks the door open, noticed a police officer guarding the scene of the crime while reading the newspaper. Batman threw the pellet towards the police officer, causing the pellet to bring out the knockout gas. The police officer then sniff the air, and knocked out unconsciously as both Batman and Edgeshot went inside of the scene of the crime.
While outside of the lab, Eizo was patrolling the city while try to find Batman when the police call the Detective.
"Calling Detective Tanuma! Calling Detective Tanuma!"
"Yeah?" Eizo said, grabbing the communication device.
"The Batman has been sited, breaking into the Pharmaceutical labs! Thought you'd be interested!"
"I want my squad there, back by choppers and as many officers as you can get! Now!" Ezio suggested as he turns his car around and make his way towards the Pharmaceutical Laboratory. "You're mine, Batman."
Meanwhile at the Pharmaceutical Laboratory, both Batman and Edgeshot decided to conduct an investigation where the attack takes place last night. Batman walk towards the desk while Edgeshot watches over the window in case the police are coming. Batman pulls out a forensic spray from his utility belt as he starts spraying the scene. Batman then placed the forensic spray back on his utility belt and pulled out the UV goggles, placed it on his eyes.
Batman zooms it in closer, noticed the broken vase, footprints on the floor. It got his attention as Batman ducks down underneath and noticed the tape recorder, grabs it and placed it on his utility belt. He then noticed something from the desk as he pulls out a tweezers and a plastic bag, used it to grab some kind of a bat hair.
Batman has never seen a bat hair like this before, but he and Edgeshot heard the sirens which the police are arriving at the lab.
"Batman, we need to leave." Edgeshot warned him.
The sound of sirens and the screeching car tires can be heard when they saw the police surrounding the Pharmaceutical Laboratory. The police strike force marched out of the police van and formed a single file when Eizo got out of the car, approaching his men.
"Alright, listen up!" Eizo called them, earned their attention. "Batman is inside and Edgeshot is going after him, but I'm not taking any chances! I want him by any means necessary!"
And with that, both Batman and Edgeshot decided to leave while the police breaks in to go after him. Then, Barbara arrives at the lab when she got out of the car, approaches Eizo.
"Commissioner, you're just in time to see us and Edgeshot hangs Batman upside-down." Eizo said with a smirk when Barbara was beside him.
"You sure he's in there?" Barbara questions.
"The chopper pilot just spotted him among the fourth floor." Eizo informed her.
"Well, he can't be two places at once." Barbara told him, leaving Eizo confused. "Another Pharmaceutical factory was just robbed across town. You've got the wrong suspect."
"What?!" Eizo exclaims.
Inside of the Pharmaceutical Laboratory, Edgeshot was able to leave the lab without getting caught because they would get the wrong ideas of him working with Batman. Batman however, found an elevator as he used his strength to pry the doors open, but the police kicks the door open and found him. They're about to catch him, but Batman quickly went inside of the elevator and pulled out three pellets, bringing out the knockout gas as the police coughed.
"Gas attack! Put on your...mask!"
But it was too late as the police were knocked out.
Batman uses the cable to slide himself down to the top of the elevator, opens the shaft door, and enter inside. And just as Batman was about to leave, he noticed more of the police are looking for him which they found him.
"Hey, there he is!"
And with that, Batman ran while the police firing their guns at the Dark Knight which it got Eizo and Barbara's attention.
"Well, somebody's in there, Commissioner." Eizo states.
"Call them off, Tanuma, or I will!" Barbara warned him.
Batman was able to hide inside of the room, but one of the police went inside to look for him while readying his gun. Batman grabs the gun, pulled it away, and grabbed his mouth while pushed him against the wall. Batman then shushed him, telling him to be quiet when the group of police surrounded the room from each side.
"The Bats gotta be in there, sir! What do you think?"
One of the police pulls out a tear gas grenade.
"Tear Gas?!"
"We'll smoke him out! Alright men, ready with your masks!"
He was about to pull the pin out when Edgeshot used his Quirk to prevent that.
"I wouldn't recommend that if I were you." Edgeshot warned him. "This room they're in contains a combustible tanks. If you release a tear gas, the tanks will explode."
The police strike force were skeptical about his warning, but Edgeshot points his finger at the sign above. The police strike force looks up and noticed a warning that has highly flammable tanks which the Pro Hero was right.
"Call off your team, I'll handle Batman." Edgeshot ordered them.
The police strike force didn't want Edgeshot to fight Batman on his own, but since they knew that he's the Pro Hero as they stand down and left the building. Batman came out of the room while pulling the police. After he lets go of him, the policeman was scared out of his mind when he saw Batman, which it got him fainted down to the floor.
"I think you broke him." Edgeshot states.
"You think?" Batman asked sarcastically as he and Edgeshot left the Pharmaceutical Laboratory without any problems.
The next day, Ethan Wayne decided to head to the zoo to find a scientist who's been studying on bats. He and Edgeshot were able to listen to the tape recorder which was mostly for the security guard to keep himself busy during his night shifts, but it got their attention when they heard an ominous screech. They also noticed a hair which neither of them could make it out of it of a bat hair.
Ethan Wayne went inside of the bat exhibit to look for Dr. Langstrom. Though, he doesn't trust Dr. Langstrom because Bruce fought against him one time and learned that the scientist turned himself into a bat hybrid called Man-Bat. Bruce was able to cure him since Dr. Langstrom couldn't even control it because he stole those chemicals from the labs in Gotham City.
"Hello, Dr. Langstrom?" Ethan called him. "Dr. Langstrom?"
He then stops, noticing the swarm bat flew past him.
"Who is it?" The voice of Dr. Langstrom said, leaned against the cave wall.
Kirk Langstrom is an elder man who's bald and has brown eyes. He wore a white lab coat with a white shirt, dark blue tie, black pants, and black shoes.
"Ethan Wayne, I have an appointment." Ethan informed him. "I called about a bat problem."
"And what do you think we are, Mr. Wayne?" Kirk asked in a grumpy tone.
"Dr. Langstrom, I just need.."
"Yes, yes, come in." Kirk suggested as Ethan followed him to the lab. "You don't need a few million and you think you'll own the place, like Bruce? Am I to understand that I have to analyze something for you?"
Just as Kirk and Ethan went inside of the lab, the scientist walk towards the microscope and motions his hand.
"Yeah Dr. Langstrom, you see, I keep hearing squeaks in my chimney and found these at the empty fireplace." Ethan explains, given him a cover up story while extended a plastic bag that has a hair. "They look like hairs. I thought maybe you can tell me if I had bats in the chimney."
"And what if they are bats, Mr. Wayne? What then, destroy them like insects?" Kirk asks again, glaring while grabbing a plastic bag. "We won't survive the next evolutionary cataclysm! They're survivors, Mr. Wayne, not pests! You should understand that..."
"Dad!" The voice of Aaron Langstrom called him when he came out of the lab.
Aaron Langstrom was in his late 20s to early 30s, brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a scientist attire like his father.
"I hope Mr. Wayne understands you mean no disrespect..."
"Of course not, Mr. ?" Ethan asks with a small smile.
"Dr. actually, I'm Aaron Langstrom. I think we spoke on the phone." Aaron said with a smile, introduced himself. "Anyway, did you bring the sample?"
"I gave it to your father and..."
Ethan and Aaron heard a door slam which Kirk was inside of the lab.
"Where'd he go?" Ethan asks curiously.
"He's probably starting th analysis." Aaron told him. "I'm sorry about dad. He's been going some rough times ever since Rebecca passed away and Mom committed suicide."
"I'm sorry to hear that." Ethan said with sympathy.
"Thank you." Aaron thanked him, decided to change the subject. "So, we'll let you know about your bat problem tonight. And again, sorry about dad when he was given you a lecture about the virtues of chiroptera."
"A what?" Ethan inquires, confused.
"Basically bats, Mr. Wayne." Aaron explains, showing a bat in the cage. "And I hope didn't get carried away, he's protective of all this like Dr. March. Like my grandfather, he likes bats better than people."
"I can imagine." Ethan states, pulls out a recorder. "I brought you this too. It's he recording I've made for the noise in my chimney."
Ethan played the record when it made a terrorizing sound of a bat which Aaron seemed calm while narrowing his eyes. Ethan knew something's off about Aaron which he now knows that he's there at the Pharmaceutical Laboratory last night. He then stops playing the recorder.
"Hmm...That does sound like a bird I've ever heard, Mr. Wayne." Aaron states with a ponder when Ethan extends the recorder, grabbing it. "However, the animal behavioural people have a sound library. Maybe they can identify it, we'll let you know."
"I'd appreciate it." Ethan said as he then left the lab.
Later that night in the Batcave, Ethan was trying to match the sounds or the hairs to any species, failed. Ethan then suit up as Batman since he decided to investigate at the zoo. Edgeshot and Bruce went inside of the Batcave when they heard that sound.
Edgeshot has some connections to Bruce since he has deep respect to the former vigilante. Of course, he's the only one who knows the location of the Batcave while not telling any of the Pro Heroes about Ethan or his secret identity.
"I take it you're not having luck?" Bruce asked.
"Actually, I did check this that compares to a musical sounds. Computer still can't come close to pinpointing it." Batman points out, crossed his arms.
"I'm not having any luck on finding the hair that compared to any of the animal." Edgeshot said.
Until, they heard a telephone that was ringing when Bruce answers.
"Wayne Manor? Yeah doc, one moment." Bruce said, then turns to Ethan. "You've got a call from Dr. Kirk Langstrom."
Ethan then uses the device to turn on the transmission speakers instead of using a phone.
"Hey, what's up, doc?" Batman said.
"You have bats, Mr. Wayne." Dr. Langstrom explains. "Common brown bats, they shouldn't pose a problem. As the weather gets colder, they'll move on."
"What the sound on the tape?" Batman questions.
"It's actually two sounds: starlings and brown bats." Dr. Langstrom explains. "Probably fighting a nest over your chimney."
"Appreciate your help, doc, I'll return the favor the next time you're raising funds. Bye-bye." Batman said, ending transmission as he then walk towards the computer. "This computer checked that fiber against every animal species known to man. I went to them because it might know something that we didn't. That hair wasn't a brown bats."
"And what about the sound on the tape? Does it even compare to the two animals?" Edgeshot inquires.
"Computer, check against combined sounds: Starlings and Brown bats." Batman ordered as the computer analyzes the sounds of the two.
"Negative: Sounds not originated by other species."
"Then, that would also mean Dr. Langstrom is lying." Bruce states.
"Yes, and we're going to find out why." Batman said with a scowl as he and Edgeshot head towards the zoo to have a serious talk with Kirk Langstrom.
At the lab of the bat exhibit, Aaron Langstrom decided to destroy the evidence that Ethan was able to recover at the scene of the crime at the Pharmaceutical Laboratory. Aaron heated the laboratory glassware, burning the tape from the recorder and the hair which it got the chiroptera's attention when it squeaks loudly.
After Aaron finished burning the evidence, he then started to groan in pain.
"Can't fight it...It's got me..." Aaron grunts as he opens up the stolen bottle of a chemical, drinks it as he coughs and panted heavily.
Aaron then grabs the caged bat as he head towards the room. Both Batman and Edgeshot opens the glass, went inside of the lab to investigate when they noticed a bottle. Edgeshot grabs it and noticed a label.
"Pharmaceutical Laboratory." Edgeshot said, narrowed his eyes. "This is the stolen chemicals from last night."
"Which means Langstrom must've stolen them from the labs." Batman points out, but noticed someone's coming as he and Edgeshot quickly hid when Aaron opens the door.
"Who's back there?" Aaron demands when Batman and Edgeshot revealed themselves. "You?!"
"We're looking Dr. Kirk Langstrom." Edgeshot informed him.
"He's not here, Edgeshot, Batman." Aaron told him with a smirk, takes off the rubber gloves.
"Where is he?" Batman questions.
"Giving on a lecture of a human extinction and bat evolution." Aaron answered simply, closing the door behind him and walk towards. "My father is really quite brilliant, like grandfather."
"Dr. Kirk Langstrom said the same thing when he turned himself into a bat monster years ago. He should've realize what he did to himself has a flaw during the experimentation." Batman points out. "He wasn't able to control himself the last time at the labs in Gotham City."
"True, but that doesn't stop him during his time as both a monster and a scientist. He retired of his day as a monster and remained a scientist at the bat exhibit." Aaron said, admits. "He wasn't afraid of put it to the test, and neither am I. I knew that my father discovered a formula to create a totally new species, neither man nor bat. And once I've started taking it, I couldn't stop. I desperately wanted to, but it took over. After Rebecca passed away of her illness, Mom knew what I was getting myself into. She tried to convince me, but it was too late and the cost was committing suicide, she knew that I couldn't control the beast. And it knew what the chemicals can bring itself about, it was out of my control. And it only needs one more component to complete the process...it's in me...Batman...Edgeshot..."
After Aaron finally admits the truth while showing the stolen chemical to the two with a sinister smirk, he laughed as Edgeshot and Batman readied their battle stance. Aaron Langstrom began his transformation as his body turns into a bat-like creature along with his teeth turned into fangs, ears extends into pointy ears, his eyes turned into a bat, his arms turned into bat wings while his fingers turned into claws, and his height enlarges which it causes his attire torn into shreads, and with it, the transformation is complete as he is now...Man Bat.
Both Edgeshot and Batman were extremely shocked of his transformation as Man Bat swipes the lab beakers, destroyed them and sending the shards to them which Batman uses the cloak to block the glass shards while Edgeshot leaps in midair. Edgeshot was about to use to Quirk, but Man Bat swipes him with his wing, sending flying and crashed against the wall. Man Bat takes flight as he flew after Batman, causing him to dodge by rolling out of the way. Man Bat then takes a chance he flew after him again, swipes Batman in the chest and knocking him out.
Batman crashed against the floor and grunts when the scratch wound was revealed at the chest. Man Bat then lifts up the table as he throws at Batman, causing him to crash against the ground when he got hit. Man Bat lands at the top of the broken table as he was about to strike Batman.
"Thousand Sheet Pierce" Edgeshot flattens and twists himself into a pointed string and then pierces Man Bat before cutting off the blood flow. "Have you forgotten about me, Aaron?"
That got Man Bat angry as he somehow managed to grab hold of the strings, pulls Edgeshot, and slams him against the wall. Edgeshot was knocked out with a grunt while landed on the floor hard. Man Bat was about to take flight when Batman pulls out his Batclaw and fires it at his leg, caught Man Bats attention as he drags the Dark Knight out of the table and through the sky.
Edgeshot regained his conscious with a grunt, noticed that Man Bat is dragging Batman across the city.
"I have to warn the Commissioner." Edgeshot said to himself as he goes after Man Bat while make a call to Barbara.
At the city, the police are patrolling at night in the streets. One of the Police Blimp got a reading on the scanner which it got of the cops attention.
"I'm getting something strange."
"Ah, not again."
"I'm serious! It's right below!"
Suddenly, they heard the screech of Man Bat flying through the sky while Batman got smacked in the face by the window which it got the cops attention.
"Whoa!?"
"Japan Command! We need choppers! We've sighted the Batman!"
And sooner, Batman was dragged away while Man Bat flew across the city, but over the other Police Blimp.
At the police station, the police chopper lands on the helipad when Eizo rush towards it since he was about to capture Batman, but failed to realize that Man Bat is dragging Batman across the city.
"Let's go!" Eizo ordered.
"I can't do it, sir!"
"What do you mean you can't do it?!" Eizo demands with a shout.
"I just got word not to let you up without the Commissioner!"
"Who told you that?" Eizo questions.
"The Commissioner!"
And no sooner than later when Barbara rushes towards the chopper, noticed Eizo which it got her furious.
"Get out, Detective!" Barbara shouts. "The President and the Chief may not let me fired you, but I'm not taking the heat for your fiasco!"
"This is my case, Commissioner! You heard the President!" Eizo remarked.
"Then why don't you go take it with them! Now I've got a job to do, if you want to tag along, fine!" Barbara remarked back, not in the mood to argue as she went inside of the chopper. "Take her up, Lieutenant!"
And with that, the chopper was about to take off when Eizo hurried inside as the chopper takes flight and head towards the city.
Meanwhile, Man Bat continued to fly across the city while dragging Batman which he's dragging him towards the construction site, causing him to widen his eyes in shock. Soon as they entered a construction, Edgeshot was able to catch up to the two.
"Spiral Spear Hand" Edgeshot flattens and twist himself into a pointed string and then pierced Man Bat with his arm to halt him.
However, it's not enough as Man Bat continued to take flight while dragging Edgeshot at the construction site. Man Bat flew over the metal pillar as both Batman and Edgeshot lands, pulling the monster bat which it got him to stop. Man Bat flew behind them and lunged at the two, causing Batman and Edgeshot to grunt as they grab hold him while Man Bat flew out of the construction site.
While at the city, the police chopper managed to find Batman and Edgeshot holding onto Man Bat.
"There he is!" Eizo states.
"There they are!" Barbara points out when they noticed Man Bat.
"What is that thing?!" Eizo questions in shock.
"That thing is what we're after." Barbara told him.
And with that, both Batman and Edgeshot were able to drag Man Bat down, flew past the chopper as the Dark Knight punches him in the head while Edgeshot jumps in the air.
"Pulp-Thread Throttle" Edgeshot flattens and twist himself into a pointed string, coils Man Bat around while Batman covers Man Bat in the eyes with his arm
Suddenly, Man Bat was knocked out when he got hit in the head against the wall, but Batman got hit against the wall as well, causing them to crash down against the top of the building. Batman grunts in pain when the blood flows down in the nose, his face was bruised, and he felt like he had a concussion.
"Are you alright, Batman?" Edgeshot asked when he returned to his original form, earned a nod from Batman.
Then, they noticed the police chopper was able to find them. Both Batman and Edgeshot carries Man Bat and dragged him to the Batmobile.
Back at the Batcave, Ethan was patched up when his head was wrapped in bandages along with his chest. Edgeshot placed Man Bat on the table so they can work on the cure while looking through the list of the stolen chemicals.
"You're lucky that you got a concussion." Edgeshot told him. "However, with that thick skull of yours, you'll be able to recover in just 5 days."
"Yeah. But I've got the list of all the items stolen from the chemical labs." Ethan states. "I guess same thing happened to Kirk when he turns himself into a monster."
"Yes, a mad scientist that can turned into Man Bat." Edgeshot agrees.
"Maybe I can undo the fate Aaron brought upon himself." Ethan said as he begins to do some analysis, finding the cure.
"Do you think you can cure him?" Edgeshot questions.
"I think so." Ethan answered with a smirk.
And the next day, Aaron Langstrom was cured, but arrested for stealing chemicals from the Pharmaceutical Laboratory. Kirk Langstrom was also arrested for obstructing justice and as an accomplice for making a formula that was never meant to be created because it only turns into a monster bat which it happened years ago in Gotham City.
