This is the 7th chapter. I don't own the series of My Hero Academia or the series of Justice League.
BrianShooter672: Yeah, Barry Allen will be there in the future chapters, but I'm still working on the first season since I didn't focus on Izuku much, mostly because he's in training for months, even without his Quirk. Now for Eri, she's staying at the Wayne Manor to be home schooled, learn how to use her Quirk, martial arts, etc. As for Kota, he'll be in training by someone who specializes in Hydrokinesis. Maybe you can help me out which hero besides Aquaman. But I'll ask you, will Eri become the next Robin?
The Oguro's Family
A month has passed since Eri stayed at the Wayne Manor with Bruce and Ethan. Apparently, Bruce decided to home-school Eri by teaching her some education between math, english, spelling, history, science, and literature, but he's taking it slow while giving her the basics since she didn't get the chance to go to school with children her age. Both Emily and Selina gave out some old clothes that can fit for Eri because all she wore was rags and bandages. Eri learned how to use her Quirk by testing her power with small bugs. They decided to take it slow with her and move her up to small animals when she has better control of her Quirk. Eri was scared at first when she had to use her Quirk, but luckily Ethan was there to encourage her and to do her best, which gave her the resolve she need to do the tests. Bruce told them that she'll use her power on people when he thinks she has a good handle on her power.
Barbara, Emily, and James visited the Wayne Manor to train Eri in martial arts. Eri was having some trouble at first, but they're taking it slow and teach her the basics. Ethan also taught her in weaponry and gadgets, which she uses kali sticks, batarangs, and a staff. Eri also has some trouble of making gadgets of her own which it's often in failure and left her hair a bit messy and her face covered in soot, but Ethan encourages her to keep trying and to do her best. Lita helps her go through the obstacle course in order for her to use reflex, agility, and speed. Eri kept trying while having some troubles along the way.
Eri kept on trying, but she got better with a little help from the Bat family and Lita.
Now at the Batcave, Ethan Wayne accessed the police files from the main screen to do some little search of his late parents. What he learned so far about his parents were the Summers family who worked with Bruce Wayne at the Wayne Enterprises, but there's something else of what he learned. He leaned that his mother is related to the Oguro family when the images of Iwao and Tamao was revealed, meaning that Iwao is his uncle and Tamao is his cousin.
"Looking for something?" The voice of Bruce asked, earned his attention when he looked at him. "I see you're looking at your families file."
"I've accessed to the police files to learn more about my parents." Ethan explains. "Both Eric and Miku worked with you at the Wayne Enterprises long ago, and there's something else I've learned."
"What?" Bruce asked.
"My mother, she's related to Iwao and Tamao Oguro." Ethan answered. "Bruce, how come I haven't seen any of them?"
"Because your parents have been on bad terms with your uncle ever since he put down his hero work and became a vigilante." Bruce told him. "Iwao Oguro is rough around the edges, but he does have a strong sense of justice which drives him to do the right thing. Despite his recklessness, Iwao has proven to be more intellect and perceptive then he seems to be at first. He's also a caring when it comes to train someone and loving his family."
"Didn't Iwao have a Quirk once before he became a vigilante?" Ethan asks.
"Yes, his Quirk is called Overclock. His Quirk allows him to accelerate his perception to the extreme, granted him increased physical speed. The drawback is that it requires a cooldown period after it's used, and can only be used for few seconds at a time." Bruce explains. "After his years of being a Pro Hero, his Quirk was stolen by All for One and it rendered him Quirkless."
Ethan couldn't help but scowl because he read the files of All for One and his actions. All for One is one of the founders and a benefactor of the faction called League of Villains, known as the Symbol of Evil, an exact opposite of All Might, who's the Symbol of Peace.
"Iwao tried talking to your parents about coming to see you, but they refused because they don't want you to end up like him." Bruce continued. "But I think it's more than that. Iwao wanted to make amends with your parents, and he wanted to meet you."
"And it didn't happen because my parents were killed?" Ethan guessed.
"That's right. Your parents told me to take care of you if anything happens to them." Bruce answered. "It's only been 12 years ever since I took care of you. Your parents would be proud of what you've become."
Ethan smiled as he responds with a nod since he knows that his late parents are watching from above.
"Ethan, why don't you take Eri with you at the city?" Bruce suggests. "Also, if you want to meet Iwao and Tamao, you'll find them at the Hopper's Cat Cafe. He works there."
Ethan then do just that as he heads out of the Batcave to get Eri ready for heading out of the city.
At the city, Ethan and Eri continued to walk through the city. Eri was now wearing a pink sweater with a sunflower pattern at the center, a white skirt, a white long socks, and black shoes. Her hair also looks to be better cared, appearing straighter and neater than it was during her time with the Shie Hassaikai.
"Ethan, where are we going?" Eri asks curiously.
"Somewhere that's very important to me, where I pay some respect to my late parents." Ethan explains.
Eri was confused and wondering why, but just as they stopped, Ethan placed some two roses next to the alleyway. Ethan remembered of the death of his parents 12 years ago, the same alleyway where he witnessed murder and taken cared by Bruce Wayne.
"This happened 14 years ago right here in this alleyway, it's where my parents were murdered by a petty thug." Ethan told her. "My parents worked at the Wayne Enterprise with Bruce, and they've been close ever since. I usually pay a visit at the Wayne Manor."
"Why?" Eri asks.
"Part of me thought that he could use some company since he's been alone at the Manor, but that changed after my parents were killed, Bruce took me in and raised me as his own." Ethan answered. "He trained me and...I even take up the mantle as Batman. Bruce didn't just train me, he trained me to become his successor as Batman."
Eri widened her eyes in shock after hearing of Ethan's explanation.
"At the time, I started to become a vigilante at the age of 12 for patrolling the city and fight against some criminals." Ethan continued. "It's only been 4 years when I became Batman."
Eri now understands that as she hugged him for comfort. Ethan kneeled to her level as he hugged her in return. Even though, Eri lost her father, got disowned by her mother, and her grandfather is in a coma, but Ethan lost both of his parents which they both dealt in hardships. As they break the hug, Ethan and Eri left the alleyway.
At the cafe called Hopper's Cat Cafe, Ethan and Eri were having some lunch which she was enjoying it. Ethan couldn't help but chuckle a little with a smile on his face. Someone entered inside of the cafe which was Tamao Oguro when she turned to Ethan and Eri as she approached them.
"Hey." Tamao called them, earned their attention. "I came here often to get way from schoolwork and stress. I'm Tamao Oguro."
"Ethan Wayne." Ethan introduces himself, shook her hand. "And this is Eri Wayne."
Eri was sacred as she got off the chair and hid behind him.
"It's okay, don't be shy." Ethan assures her, patting her back a few times.
Eri moved in front of Ethan slowly as she was scared of getting close to Tamao.
"Hi." Eri said shyly.
"Hi there, Eri." Tamao greets her with a smile. "Sorry I scared you."
"It's not your fault, she's been dealing with her hardships during the time with the Shie Hassaikai." Ethan assures her. "I'm just trying to get her well-adjusted in the city."
"I can see that." Tamao said with a giggle. "She's adorable in her outfit."
Ethan confirms a nod with an agreement when Tamao sits next to them.
"Anyway, this place is where my dad works here." Tamao explains. "Don't ask me why, but he does have a thing for cats."
"Sounds like somebody I know." Ethan said with a chuckle. "Anyway, was your dad going by the name of Iwao Oguro by any chance?"
"Yeah, how did you know?" Tamao asks surprisingly.
"Lucky guess." Ethan answered. "Bruce even taught me how to figure things out."
"Who's Iwao?" Eri asks.
"Iwao Oguro is my dad. Back at his day, he was a Pro Hero known as O'Clock because of his Quirk that allowed him to accelerate his brain's perception to extreme, making it appear to him as the world was in slow motion. But after he lost his Quirk, he goes as a vigilante known as Knuckleduster." Tamao explains. "After years went by, he did some odd jobs here and there, and he build a restaurant we're standing right now."
"I see." Ethan said. "And who else are you related to?"
"My Uncle Eric and Aunt Miku worked at the Wayne Enterprises. They've been on good terms with Mr. Wayne, but they didn't get along with my dad." Tamao answered. "I mean, I can understand that, but they always at each other's throats because dad is always reckless of his vigilantism and thinking that violence solves the problem which it's not. I know dad means well, but he's just too stubborn to admit."
Ethan can tell that Tamao really loved her father, even if they too did have some ups and downs.
"I really missed Uncle Eric and Aunt Miku." Tamao said sadly. "Even you, Ethan Wayne. Or should I say, Ethan Summers?"
Ethan was shocked that Tamao knew his true last name that hasn't been used in 12 years.
"How did you...?"
"I'll explain everything, but you should meet my dad. He wanted to see you, after 12 years." Tamao suggested.
"He is?" Ethan asks, earned a nod from her. "Where is he?"
"He's in the back room right now." Tamao answered. "I'll take you there."
Ethan was just about to leave when he felt his sleeve was tugged, looked down and noticed Eri.
"Are you leaving?" Eri asked sadly.
Her eyes are getting pretty misty, and her frown is getting lower.
Ethan and Tamao looked at her sad expression, and she doesn't look too convinced, her head keeps lowering, and she's less interested in eating. Both Ethan and Tamao felt bad for not thinking about taking Eri or her feelings into consideration. Eri seems emotionally attached to Ethan and being separated from him might do more harm than good. Especially with everything she's been through.
Ethan sighed to himself and turned to Tamao.
"I think it's best that I should take Eri with me." Ethan suggested. "It won't feel right for leaving her alone."
"Yeah, I think it'll be the best." Tamao agrees.
"So, I can go with you?" Eri asks, hoping he said 'yes'.
"Yeah, you can come with me." Ethan answered, earned a big smile from Eri.
With everything settled, Tamao led them to the room where her father was. Standing in the hallway was a door that read 'The Back Room' was right in front of them. Eri was starting to get scared while holding Ethan's hand as Tamao knocks on the door. Ethan really wanted to meet Iwao because he never met him for the past 12 years after learned about him from Bruce Wayne.
"Come in." A deep voice croaked past the gap between the door and the frame.
They followed the instructions and Tamao pushed the door open. It blinded them for a few moments, revealed the glistening silver curtains that blew into the room. What came next was Tamao's father, Iwao Oguro.
Iwao Oguro is a towering, heavily muscular man. He has short dark hair and visibly thick eyebrows, and also possesses heavy stubble and prominent scar running diagonally down his left cheek and his left eye was scarred over. He wore a tight fit dark shirt, jeans, boots, and long hunter trench coat.
"So, you're my sisters' son..." Iwao continued with a little tremble as the end.
It got Eri jumped in fear while Iwao's fist clenched tightly, as memories of his youth flooded in front of his eyes, almost like he wanted to cry. Never in his life did he ever get to meet his sister's son. Of course, he's on bad terms with Ethan's parents for years ever since he became a former Pro Hero and a current vigilante. He even never knew about he had a daughter. But in the few seconds of finally finding the last part of his broken family, he could see resemblance of his brother-in-law. The way how Eric and Ethan were similar heights and physical appearance. Even though, Ethan has the same eye color as his sister's. His sister was like their father, but Ethan on the other hand, was like Eric. Iwao knew that Ethan was his nephew.
"You remind me so much of your father." Iwao said with a gruff voice, standing up from where he sits. He held his hand out towards Ethan. "If only your parents could see you now. I'm Iwao Oguro. Your mothers' older brother."
As Iwao stood directly opposite of him, Ethan immediately noticed the scar on his face and his left eye. It almost like that he's been through some fights as a vigilante. Despite his recklessness, his thuggish, and intimidating looks, his eyes held all of his true emotions.
Pain. Longing. And Hope.
Iwao let out a small smile and opened his arms out freely. Ethan walked into the room, knew what Iwao felt.
"Come to your Uncle!" Iwao shouts happily.
Within an instant, Ethan walked into the room and hugged him. Ethan never imagined that he would find his uncle so soon after learned about him from Bruce and Tamao. Tamao and Eri watch them hugging to each other with a smile on their faces which Ethan felt a connection from the small embrace and felt he was home.
"I'm so sorry for what has happened to you." Iwao apologizes, placed his large hand on his back.
"Why? What are apologizing for?" Ethan asks, looking at Iwao.
"For not saving you or his parents after learning about them being murdered or finding you soon enough. You've been through so much in this shitty society." Iwao answered, breaking the hug and looking directly in his eyes. "I've been heard about it from Commissioner Gordon and Mr. Wayne. To think those thugs are still skulking around in this city and the Pro Heroes aren't here to save them."
Iwao gritted his teeth in anger and looked down to the floor. Tears started to well up in his eyes and he brought Ethan into a tighter hug.
"I'm just glad that Mr. Wayne taught you and for you to take up his mantle as Batman." Iwao said with a smile on his face.
Ethan then looked at Iwao and smiled, brought into another hug. They were both speechless and the silence between them just felt comforting.
After a few minutes later, they break up a hug as they began to have some discussion. They were now sat opposite each other, in front of the shining window that let the light in. Ethan was sitting on a rough wooden chair with his legs crossed while Tamao is sitting next to him, with Eri on her lap. Eri was nervous when she was looking at Iwao. They already got the necessities out of the way, like contact information and more crying.
"How long have you been under the radar?" Ethan asked.
"After I saved my daughter, your cousin, a little over five months." Iwao replied. "But that's the whole story I'll tell you next time, it's convoluted."
Ethan replied with a nod, understands what he means.
"I heard from Commissioner Gordon and Mr. Wayne that you were saving lives and taking down the small-time thugs over the past 4 years." Iwao said with a proud smile. "And making some allies like Catwoman, Batgirl, Red Robin, the Boondock Saints, and Delta."
"Which reminds me, Delta has no Quirks at all, but she makes up for it in firearms and combat." Ethan explains seriously. "Though, she doesn't play by the rules in 'no killing' method, but I learn about being a hero is sometimes you have to make a hard choice. Which it's where Delta and the Boondock Saints comes to play."
"Mr. Wayne taught you well about being a hero by using your head, but yeah, Delta has no Quirk at all." Iwao replied. "The reason why is because I'm the one who taught Tamao in combat and firearms. She learned pretty quick, and she came up with the hero's name, or in Mr. Wayne's case, a codename."
"And her codename is 'Delta', right?" Ethan inquires surprisingly.
"That's right." Tamao replied with a smile. "My codename is Delta."
Both Ethan and Eri were completely shocked of Tamao that she was actually Delta. The entire time, Tamao helped Ethan fight against Red Claw when they first met along with Penguin's goons, the Russian Mafia, and the Shie Hassaikai. Iwao couldn't help but snicker a little, noticing the look on Ethan's face which to him, it was priceless. Tamao couldn't help but giggle as her cousins expression.
"Ethan, are you still there?" Tamao asks, making Ethan snapped out of his stupor. "From the look on your face, it's priceless."
"Very funny." Ethan said sarcastically.
"Anyway, after I learned about your parents were killed in the alley, I went to my dad and asked him to train me. Though, we've got into an argument after I told him why." Tamao explains which it got Iwao, Ethan, and Eri sweat dropped. "Dad taught me some basics in combat and firearms when I was 5, after getting to know him at first. We had our ups and downs, no family is perfect."
Ethan couldn't argue with that since he had a fair share when it comes to being taken cared and being trained by Bruce Wayne.
"And a little after six years, I've extended by training with John Diggle and John Wick from across the US. And four years, I got back here in Japan when I'm old enough to become a hero." Tamao continued. "Well, more like a vigilante and became Delta. Though, it didn't go as what I had in mind when I noticed a girl that had a missing eye, and that parasite possessed me."
"A parasite?" Ethan repeats.
"A parasite goes by the name of Kuin Hachisuka." Iwao told him. "But her true identity goes by the name of Queen Bee. She appeared as a bee with an extremely bloated abdomen. She controlled not only my daughter, but she also controlled Kazuho. The Quirk is also called 'Queen Bee', no pun intended. Besides taking control of a human host, she can also keep a massive swarm of bees inside of her. The bees are a hive-mind, allowing the bees to share mental messages with each as well as give Kuin the ability to command the bees."
"But there's a downside of that Quirk, right?" Ethan guessed.
"Right, when the bees were killed, the damage is reflected on her body." Iwao confirmed. "I've been able to kill the number of bees, which it causes Kuin's eye to bled out. Luckily for me, I was able to beat the damn thing and plucked her out of my daughter's eye. I use the pheromone bomb to kill Kuin and the swarm."
Ethan can tell that Iwao has been threw worse situation, even for finding Tamao in the city and fight against Kuin.
"After few months recovery, Mr. Wayne donated some money me and Kazuho for the artificial eye. We were able to see it after a few tests. After that, I got back in business for becoming a vigilante in the past few months." Tamao said. "Even Kazuho went back as Pop-Star, though she's still a freelance idol at heart."
"Can Kazuho fight like you three?" Eri asks curiously.
"She can, but uses her head to make up for it and she became the brains of the vigilante." Iwao answered. "But she has a habit of berating me most of time when it comes to me becoming reckless and the way I act."
It got Ethan and Eri sweat dropped, which it does make sense.
"Anyway, Kazuho heard about the death of your parents and Mr. Wayne took you in. I taught her in CQC over the years and she became a vigilante as a Pop Star." Iwao continued. "And after what happen to her, you know the rest. Kazuho became lost and worried about the future and being left alone. Tamao and I were able to give her some encouragement after what she told us."
"Then her mental state has gotten worse, and Number 6 uses it as his advantage to manipulate her by using the Queen Bee to possess her." Tamao adds. "After a long agonizing week, Dad and I were able to find her before Endeavor and the Pro Heroes. Thanks to his method, I used the pheromone bomb to call out the worker bees and Dad uses the Taser Knuckle to knock her out while plucking the Queen Bee out of her eye. Until Number 6 shows up..."
"Number 6?" Eri repeats. "Was the number behind it?"
"No, Number 6 is just his alias. He's known either the Scarred Man or Rokuro Nomura." Iwao told her with a chuckle. "He was once a Pro Hero who goes by either as Rock or O'Clock ll.
"That name 'O'Clock' was the name after your Pro Hero name." Ethan states.
"Yes, but the reason why he has that name is because All for One gave my Quirk to that sleezy son of a bitch. But Number 6 has more than one Quirks that was given by All for One." Iwao told him. "And just to let you know, he's no human and using more than one Quirk is beyond normal."
"We learned about Number 6 is that he's one of the experiments from the Villain Factory and he can modify his body to gain his physical prowess and endurance which allowed him to shrug off the pain." Tamao adds. "We were lucky enough to kill him and helping Koichi before Number 6 kills him."
"I've read some of the case files about the Villain Factory. They're the group of villains responsible for the creation of the Instant and Next-Level Villains, in order to create an experiment that can rival All Might. They don't hesitate to resort to all types of felony, like human experimentation, terrorism, and a list that goes on." Ethan told them, leaving Tamao and Iwao surprised. "They also cause many incidents by using a drug that can create an Instant Villains. If any of the Instant Villains has potential, they'll kidnap and subject them to all kinds of bioengineering experiments and modifications, which Number 6 is one of them."
"Sounds like Mr. Wayne taught you well for deduction." Tamao said, impressed. "But as far as the result goes, Detective Ezio, Dad, and me concluded that All for One is involved after the investigation between the Villain Factory incidents and the Underground Masquerade."
"Thus, the Villain Factory was finished when the villains were arrested. All except the old man Kyudai and All for One." Iwao adds, sighed. "At the time, I decided to stand down because I'm not as young as I use to be and let Tamao fight against the villains on her own."
Ethan can understand that since Iwao was once a Pro Hero and a vigilante during his younger days, but like Bruce Wayne, Iwao decided to retire and work at the cafe. Tamao takes up her own mantle as Delta to fight against the villains while patrolling the city. But that changed when Ethan, James, Emily, Lita, and the Boondock Saints came along, fighting villains, patrolling the city, and not getting caught by the Pro Heroes.
"But thanks to you, Catwoman, Batgirl, Red Robin, and the Boondock Saints, Tamao can now work together with all of you to keep the city safe." Iwao said with a small smile. "However, that don't mean I'm not going to help you two from here and I'm planning on moving to Wayne Manor in order to help Mr. Wayne out."
Ethan and Tamao nods as they decided to catch up with each other while Eri joins in.
Later that night, Batman and Delta were sweeping the city to keep an eye on villains while preventing the Pro Heroes for finding them which they know full-well that they're not to give up on capturing the vigilantes. Unknown to them, there was another vigilante named Kazuho Haneyama, AKA, Pop Star, watching them from the far-off distance with a smile on her face. After learning that Ethan is the new Batman, Pop Star was relieved to hear that he's alive and well while taken up Bruce's mantle.
Kazuho has pink/mangeta hair along with pink skin, and pink eyes. She ties her hair into pigtails. She wore a devilish themed one-piece black leotard with a heart-shaped opening in the center of the chest and a smaller one in the back, where it's located just below two bat wings. She also wore a reddish-pink bow tie, a pair of silver pearl earrings, black elbow-length gloves, black super-miniskirt with three hearts on the belt, and black knee-high boots. She also wore a black mask around her eyes.
Pop Star pulls out the communicator.
"John Stewart, this is Pop Star. Can you hear me?" Pop Star said.
"Loud and clear, what's your status?" John Stewarts asks.
"I found Batman." Pop Star told him. "And he goes by the name of...Ethan Wayne."
That's it for the 7th chapter. I didn't get much of Kazuho Haneyama, but thought I could make some adjustments, so here it is.
