Final Exams Part 2
After the U.A. Faculty members shown their students of whom they're fighting against while given them instructions, the students between 1A and 1B were completely shocked. The students weren't expecting that they'll be facing against the vigilantes in the Final Exams, which they're gonna have to come up with a strategy in order for them to pass.
"In this exam, it'll be similar to a real battle." Thirteen informed them. "As strange as it is, please think of them as villains."
"Assumin' you come across your enemy." Snipe added. "If you think you can win against them, then fight. However..."
"...in instances where you're outmatched, it would be smarter to run away and find help." Aizawa said. "I'm sure all of you understand."
The students of Class 1A and 1B were instantly reminded of the previous incidents between the League of Assassins, Zero Year, and the Court of Owls. Class 1A have been captured by Riddler before, and the students fought against the Talons of the Court of Owls. Batman and his team may not have saved Bruce Wayne, but they were able to stop Riddler, and adding Nightwing and Red Hood for the team. Tenya remembered of the Hero Killer, which Batman, Deathstroke, and Robin apprehended him.
"I wouldn't make that mistake again!" Tenya said with determination, reminded of being scolded by his brother and Manual. "I will pass the test and prove that I'm a Hero!"
"Then you need to prove it. Action speaks louder than words." Teal'c told him with some advice. "Prove to us that you're a Hero!"
Tenya replied with a nod.
"So, we fight to win or run to win." Izuku states with determination, earned a nod from the Dark Knight.
"It's a test that's based on your decision." Batman told him. "The rules never said you can come up with a plan, either you fight us or run. But you only got one shot in this exam, make sure you make it count."
"You think you and those couple extras can beat us, I can y'all on. Especially you, Batman." Bakugo growled, glaring at the Dark Knight.
"We'll see about that." Red Hood said with a smirk. "When we start the match, why don't you put your money where your mouth is."
"Let's begin." Aizawa said. "The teams will take the Practical Exam in the order you were called. We have a stage prepared for you. Sato, Kirishima, Kota, Tsunotori, you're up."
"Yes sir!" Rikado, Eijiro, Yui, and Pony said.
"Those waiting their turn to fight can either watch the exams or try to strategize together as a team. It's your choice." Aizawa suggested as he and the others walked back inside of the building. "That's all."
"Ojiro, Shishida, Rin." Tenya called them, earned his attention. "I'd like to discuss how we might be able to coordinate the use of our Quirks."
"Great." Mashiro said with a nod when Jurota and Hiryu nods with an agreement.
"Tokoyami? Tetsutetsu? Awase?" Tsuyu called them, earned their attention. "Let's go come up with a plan."
"Agreed." Tokoyami said.
"Yeah, I'm ready to beat their asses!" Tetsutetsu shouts with determination.
"We'll definitely pass the exam!" Yosetsu adds as they walked off.
"We've got to figure a way to destroy those girl's clothes!" Mineta exclaims with his partners.
"You're such a little scumbag." Hanata and Kosei grumbled in annoyance as they walked away.
Izuku walked into the monitor room since he couldn't get a chance to give Bakugo, Reiko, and Sen a strategy. He found Recovery Girl sitting at the controls of the multiple surveillance screens while Red X is watching.
"Well, looks like I have my work cut out for me today." Recovery Girl said, tasked with watching the battles and providing medical care if needed.
"And I'm here to make sure they fight fair." Red X told him. "Also, if I ever see any of those teams try anything, they'll know what'll happen."
It got Izuku's face pale, which he's getting the idea of what Red X is planning. But it got him snapped out of his thoughts when they heard a hissing opening behind them, noticing Ochaco walking into the surveillance room.
"Oh, Deku." Ochaco said. "You're watching, too? Hi."
"Yeah, it's not like we get many chances to watch students in combat with them, right?" Izuku said, turns back to the monitors. "And besides, I don't think Kaachan wants to talk strategies with me. And neither does Yanagi or Kaibara."
"I can see that." Ochaco said with a sweat drop, pondered while remembering Aoyama gushing over himself in the mirror while Kojiro and Togaru were formulating a strategy. "And uh, my partners...is a little preoccupied with themselves."
'You don't say?!' Izuku mentally exclaims with a sweat drop, tilting his head.
"That's why I thought I'd try and get inspiration from everyone else's battles." Ochaco told him.
"Smart." Izuku said.
"Yeah, but they're new to this and not use to working together between classes, not that I blame them." Red X adds, crossed his arms. "Knowing them, it'll probably best that you two set this one out and focus on the matches, in order for the both of you to learn something."
Both Izuku and Ochaco couldn't help but agree to Red X as they watch the screen. Even though, Izuku is teaming up with his rival and two students from Class 1B, but he had to pass the test, no matter what it took.
'Team Sato, Kirishima, Kota, and Tsunotori: Practical Exam! Ready: Go!'
The first fight was Sato, Kirishima, Kota, and Tsunotori VS Terra, Arsenal, Azrael, and Beast Boy which it took place in the fake city. The four were running through the fake city, looking for the four vigilanties.
"So, what do you three think?" Eijiro inquires. "We'll definitely get a higher score for capturing instead of running, do you agree?"
"Yeah, that make sense." Rikado agrees when Yui nods.
"I don't know, guys, the four we're fighting are..."
Before Pony could finish her sentence, the earth merges up from the ground, blocking their path when they jump back in midair, lands on the ground. Terra was able to stop them in their tracks thanks to her geokinetic powers.
Terra has slender appearance with long blond hair that reaches down to her shoulder blades and blue eye. She wore a black long sleeve shirt that reveals her stomach, tan shorts, tan gloves, tan tactical military belt, brown hiking boots, and goggles.
"Don't think I'm making it easy." Terra said with a glare, using her communicator from her ear. "Arsenal, it's just as you predicted, they're using the frontal assault tactic."
"Alright, hold them here. That longhorns over there have the power to fire her horns while gloomy girl that can alter the size of what she touches." Arsenal told her. "Beast boy, you go from behind while Azrael can give you some cover fire."
"What about you?" Beast Boy questions.
"I'll give you guys some support, but if there's an opening, use it." Arsenal said.
"Damn, Terra sure knows how to pull that one fast!" Eijiro grunts as he activates his Quirk. "Let's break through from the front and shoot a high score!"
"Oh yeah!" Rikado agrees as he gulps one can of sugar, using his Quirk to buff himself up.
Pony readies her stance while Yui touches her horns, using her Quirk to increase the size of her horns as she fires the horns at the earth, destroying it.
"This is it!" Eijiro shouts with determination as he and Rikado rushes after Terra.
Terra lets out a battle cry, using her powers to launch the pillars of earth at the two, pushing them back. Pony then fires her horns, but Arsenal fires his arrows, destroying the horns.
Arsenal has a lean muscular appearance with short red hair and green eyes. His attire consists of a Kevlar suit with a hoodie, a red mask, black leather pants with kneepads, and combat boots. He carries 4 throwing knives on his suit, a combat knife, quiver with arrows, and a recurve bow.
Eijiro and Rikado were stumbled a bit while Pony and Yui were shocked that Arsenal somehow managed to shoot the horns from a far distance. Then, they heard a growl when they turn their shoulders, noticing that was Azrael and Beast Boy shapeshifting into a T-Rex. Beast Boy lets out a loud dinosaur roar, making them scream in fright as they ran away. Terra uses her power to form a wall, blocking their path. Arsenal fires his trick arrows, stunning both Pony and Yui with his electric arrow.
Both Rikado and Eijiro knew that they're not making it easy for either of them, and they have no other choice but to fight them.
Rikado charges after Beast Boy when he swatted him away with his tail, sent him flying and crashed against the wall. Rikado then tries again by charging when Beast Boy shapeshift into a gorilla. Rikado swings his fist, but Beast Boy grabs it and uses a shoulder throw, knocking him down. Rikado is starting to realize that his powers is worn out, making him exhausted.
Eijiro delivers a flurry of punches which Azrael dodges them all. Arsenal fires a flame burst arrow at Eijiro, making him stumble from the impact while Azrael fires his Angel's Wrath gauntlet. Eijiro was sent flying over into the wall. Terra then uses her power to make a hole in the ground as Ejiro lands down into the hole while she closes the hole.
With them knocked out, they failed the exam. It got the students surprised when they heard the announcement.
"It's only the first match and I'm already needed." Recovery Girl said, getting out of her seat and heading out to heal the four.
"No way...it was that one-sided?!" Ochaco exclaims in disbelief, stunned.
"Their Quirks were too ineffective against theirs." Izuku said, now seeing how hard the exams are going to be.
Aizawa paired them up for a reason, and wanted each of the students go against the vigilantes. Meaning if he, Bakugo, Reiko, and Sen were going to have a chance against the Bat Family and Crimson Avenger, they'll have to identify their weaknesses and overcome them.
"It's either that, or they're not use to work as a team and not coming up with a strategy." Red X guessed. "This is what happens when you don't know of your strengths and weaknesses."
The next match was Tsuyu, Tokoyami, Tetsutetsu, and Yosetsu VS Teal'c, Cyborg, Signal, and Shazam (William).
"I see. They're starting us in the middle of the stage." Tokoyami states.
"Sounds like it." Yosetsu replied. "We gotta pass the exam, or we're done for, just those guys back there."
"In order to escape, we have to pass through the designated gate. Right?" Tsuyu points out. "Which means that they'll probably there waiting for us."
"And we've gotta fight them if we're going to escape." Tetsutetsu states.
And with that, the second match begins.
'Team Asui, Tokoyami, Tetsutetsu, and Awase: Practical Exam! Ready: Go!'
Suddenly, the beam was shot out of nowhere as it sent Tetsutetsu flying and crashing against the wall. Tsuyu, Tokoyami, and Yosetsu were stunned as Cyborg revealed him with his sonic cannon.
"Booyah." Cyborg said as William, Teal'c, and Signal revealed themselves. "You guys don't understand that we're not making this easy for any of you."
"This is where you won't hold back, no holds barred." Signal adds, readied his Bat-chat sticks.
"Either go big or go home." William said seriously as lightning surrounded him. "SHAZAM!"
William then transformed himself into Shazam, leaving them shocked of his powers.
"No way...He transformed...with one word..." Yosetsu muttered with his eyes widen.
"Show us your resolve, surface dwellers." Teal'c said as he uses the Trident of Poseidon, unleashing the water waves towards them.
Tokoyami quickly uses his Quirk to bring the Dark Shadow out of his cloak, pulling Tsuyu and Yosetsu up towards the upper floor. Tsuyu fires her tongue by grabbing hold of Tokoyami, sticks into the wall, and pulls the Jet Black Hero at the upper floor while Yosetsu lands next to him.
"I'm glad we've made it beforehand." Tsuyu states.
"Yes." Tokoyami agrees.
"But I can't say the same with Tetsutetsu, after that blast." Yosetsu told him when they saw Tetsutetsu got himself out of the wall with a groan in pain. "It did a lot of number on him."
"And we will be too if we don't get outta here." Tsuyu suggested.
But just as they're about to escape, Tokoyami and Yosetsu couldn't move because the shadows grabs hold of them when Signal revealed himself from the shadows with a smirk on his face.
"Leaving so soon?" Signal asks when Shazam (William) flew up to the upper floor while Teal'c uses the water to rise up.
"Like Cyborg told you, we're not making this easy for any of you." Shazam (William) warned them.
Tokoyami, Yosetsu, and Tsuyu knows that he's right, but they're not gonna back down without a fight. Tokoyami makes his move by bringing out the Dark Shadow as it charges after them, but Signal blocks it while using his power to fire the light beam at it, causing Dark Shadow to groan in pain. Signal then goes after Tokoyami, swinging his Bat-chat Sticks in the face, followed by a spinning hook kick, making the Jet Black Hero stumble back.
Tsuyu fires her tongue, but Shazam (William) caught it and sends out the electricity, electrocuted her as she lets out a scream in pain, knocked out and in a state of paralysis. Yosetsu then tries charging after Teal'c, but screamed when the Prince of Dagon fires lightning at him, sent him flying as he crashed against the wall, knocked out.
Signal is still fighting against Tokoyami when he delivers a punch to the sternum and then finishes him by using a low sweep, and swings his Bat-chat Sticks in the head, knocking him out.
Tetsutetsu readied his fighting stance while using his Quirk to harden himself.
"I'm gonna get you for that! I'll smash your head after blasting me to the wall!" Tetsutetsu shouts angrily when Cyborg readied his fighting stance.
Tetsutetsu charges with a battle cry as he was about to deliver a right hook, causing Cyborg to block it and encounter by delivering an uppercut to the chin, followed by two punches to the jaw. Tetsutetsu is stumbled a bit when Cyborg delivers a shoulder tackle, sent him flying against the ground.
"Give up?" Cyborg asks with a smirk as Tetsutetsu stood up with a groan in pain.
"Just when things are about to get interesting?! Not a chance!" Tetsutetsu shouts, charges after him as he delivers a punch when Cyborg grabs his fist.
Cyborg then finishes it by punching him in the face, knocking Tetsutetsu out.
For the second exam, they failed the test.
Back at the monitor room, both Izuku and Ochaco were completely stunned when they're watching them getting beaten by the group of vigilantes easily and failed the exam.
"No way, these guys failed too?!" Ochaco exclaims.
"Well, what did you expect? They're dealing with those guys with experience." Red X points out. "However, what you guys see here is this, Tetsutetsu is too hot-headed and the cost is getting beaten instead of given himself up easily. While Tsuyu is level-headed and given her team a support, which is a good sign, she has no weakness of mentality. But physically, she lacks formal training in combat."
"I'm afraid I have to agree with him, Tsuyu does lack in combat training along with Pony and Yui. Like Tokoyami, Pony and Yui are quick to attack from afar, allowing them to keep their distance, meaning they rely on long range attacks, but they're weak in close range." Recovery adds. "However, like Tetsutetsu, both Kirishima and Sato rely on close range which is their strengths. Both Kirishima and Sato lack in the long periods of time of using their Quirks while Tetsutetsu gets pummeled easily by Cyborg's advanced technology and combat."
"I never thought about their powers that way." Ochaco states surprisingly.
"And those guys are really experienced of their own right." Izuku adds seriously.
"That's right." Red X replied. "That's something you guys have a lot to cover, and still got a long way to go for being a Pro Hero."
Izuku and Ochaco knows that Red X is right about it.
The third match was Tenya, Mashiro, Jurota, and Hiryu VS Raven, Batgirl, Gear, and Hawkfire.
Jurota wildly charges after the four vigilantes, but Raven uses her Soul-Self to ram him right into the stomach, sent him flying as he crashed against the crane.
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos" Raven uses her telekinetic powers, throwing the rubble at the students as they're able to dodge.
Jurota stands up with anger as he charges after Raven, causing her to use her powers to conjure a dark dome as he punches it which it didn't make an effect. Jurota was about to hit the dome when Gear throws a Zap-Cap MK I at him, making him stumble.
Batgirl and Mashiro were both fighting in combat, exchanging each other's blows while blocking each other's attacks. Mashiro then tries using his tail to deliver a sweep, but Batgirl leaps and delivers a spinning hook kick in the face, making him stumble.
"I'll admit, Emily, you're good." Mashiro said with a smirk, readied his fighting stance.
"Thanks, you're not bad yourself." Batgirl said with a smirk, readied her fighting stance as they charge against each other.
Mashiro was about to deliver a roundhouse kick when Batgirl blocks it and deliver a punch to the stomach, followed by 2 punches to the jaw. Batgirl then uses a shoulder throw technique and bent his arm the wrong way, snapping it.
"AAAAHHHH!" Mashiro screamed, but knocked out when Batgirl punches him in the face.
Tenya knows what he's outmatched when it comes to fighting, but still has a plan as he uses his Quirk to speed his way to the exit. However, Tenya is restrained when Raven uses her dark power to stop him, then throws him against the ground and buried him to the head. Raven then revealed herself from the ground.
"Think again." Raven said with a brooding glare.
Jurota charges after her with a loud roar, but both Gear and Batgirl threw their projectiles at him, stunned him while Raven uses her telekinesis to the rubble right in the 'jewels', causing him to fell down into his knees with a squeal and covering his privates. Batgirl and Gear are now working together by grabbing his head, slamming him down to the ground, knocking him out.
Hawkfire dodges the volley of scales when Hiryu uses his Quirk to fire his scales from his gauntlets. Hawkfire pulls out the pellets from her utility belt as she throws them at the gauntlets, clogging up the holes.
"Uh-oh!" Hiryu said in shock, but knocked out when Hawkfire delivered a flying kick to the face.
With that, they failed the test.
"These guys are strong!" Ochaco said in shock.
'They're not holding back, either. Meaning that we need to come up with a plan to pass the exam.' Izuku mentally thought with a serious expression.
The fourth match was Momo, Shoto, Ibara, and Setsuna VS Dabi, Tarantula, Blue Beetle, and Delta.
"It's our turn now. Let's go." Shoto suggested when Ibara and Setsuna nods, but Momo has something on her mind. "Yaoyoruzu?"
It got Momo snapped out of her thoughts.
"What's wrong? Are you nervous?" Shoto questions.
"Yeah, what's up with you?" Setsuna questions with concern.
"Oh, no." Momo said.
"It's okay, with our opponents, I don't blame you." Shoto said. "Don't worry, I have a plan in mind for us."
Momo was about to question him when they heard a loud sound.
"Team Todoroki, Yaoyoruzu, Shiozaki, and Tokage: Practial Exam! Ready: Go!"
Dabi then uses his communicator, sitting on a roof.
"Alright, remember the plan." Dabi said. "Delta, you got your sniper ready?"
"I'm in position." Delta answered, readied her Barrett MRAD from the inside of the building, equipping it with a silencer.
"Good." Dabi said.
"Dabi, they're heading in your direction. And it sounds like they've got something in their sleeve." Blue Beetle told him.
"Guess we'll know what they're up to." Dabi said with a chuckle, smirked.
Meanwhile, Shoto, Ibara, Momo, and Setsuna were running through the alley.
"Yaoyoruzu, listen, I want you to keep making small objects. When you stop being able to, it means they're close by." Shoto suggested. "Shiozaki, in case if anything goes wrong, I want you to use your vines as a diversion for us to escape or one of us will go and find the exit. Setsuna, I need you to give her some support."
Ibara and Setsuna nods while Momo reluctantly complies when they noticed the exit of the alleyway.
"Our success will depend on which one of us finds the other first." Shoto continues, looking for either the exit or the vigilantes. "Once we spot them, me, Shiozaki, and Tokage will draw them out, then you can run to the escape gate and win this thing for us. Just stay close to me until then."
Momo didn't the idea of leaving them behind and heading for the escape gate, which it got her to look down to the ground.
"Come on, hurry up and start making things." Shoto suggested.
"Sure...no problem." Momo reluctantly complies.
Soon as they start running towards the street, Momo began using her Quirk by making the nesting dolls while try to look for the escape gate.
"Um, Momo, what are you making?" Setsuna asks in confusion. "And why are you making these things?"
"Oh, these things? They're just Russian nesting dolls." Momo told her, putting the dolls on her belt.
"Right." Shoto said. "Let me know if you noticed your Quirk acting strangely at all."
And with that, Shoto, Ibara, and Setsuna continued to run while Momo continued making the nesting dolls.
"I'd expect nothing less from you, Todoroki." Momo commented.
"What do you mean?" Shoto inquires curiously.
"You're able to come up with the plan to use against your brother, Tarantula, Blue Beetle, and Delta rather so quickly. You exactly know what was best as soon as we started." Momo states.
"No kidding, it's like you're a strategist." Setsuna adds with a smirk.
"This is nothing." Shoto told them, causing Momo to stop.
"No...you're wrong." Momo muttered which it got their attention. "As students who got into recommendations, we started from the same place, but in terms of the practical skills that a Hero needs, I haven't really managed to do anything that stands out."
Momo then remembered of the Sports Festival Calvary Battle.
"During the Calvary Battle, I just followed your orders." Momo continued. "And then when it was my turn to fight, I failed before I could do anything."
Shoto, Ibara, and Setsuna can tell that Momo remembered of her time back in Sports Festival, which they couldn't help but sympathize with her. However, Shoto then realizes that she's not making anymore of these dolls.
"Yaoyoruzu, you're not making those dolls." Shoto told her, making her snapped out of her thoughts.
Suddenly, Tarantula threw her throwing knives right at those four in the back of their shoulders, causing them to grunt in pain. But for some reason, neither of them were able to move and they're down to the ground.
"I...I can't move..." Ibara grunts. "What's happening?!"
"My throwing knives were covered in the venom of a Black widow spider. This venom contains a neurotoxin that can paralyze you in minutes and worse side effects will continue, and...it'll kill you." The voice of Tarantula said, walking towards them with a smirk and with her knife in her hand. "I guess you didn't count on someone who's expertise in assassination."
Shoto, Momo, Ibara, and Setsuna widen their eyes in shock when Dabi revealed himself by landing on the ground.
"Also, if you four wanna have a little chat, do it at your own time. And if you knew that we're here, then you should've act quickly." Dabi told them, then turns to his brother. "Though, it's admirable that you're placing a burden on yourself. It's nice that you try to be considerate to the girl, but maybe if you talk it over and be a little moral support, she shouldn't be acting like that, now would she?"
Shoto then widens his eyes, but glared for a second which he doesn't understand what his brother is telling him.
"Any who, if I were you four, I'd surrender quick." Dabi warned them. "Because our friends are around these buildings, keeping an eyeing on you and ready to fire. So, what's it gonna be?"
Shoto, Ibara, Momo, and Setuna were stunned of Dabi's decision, which neither of them wanted to surrender. However, they're starting to feel the effects of the venom traveling through the nervous system.
"Well..." Tarantula said. "We're waiting."
Delta and Blue Beetle readied their weapons in case if they don't surrender, but Momo said.
"We surrender!" Momo shouts. "We surrender! Please, we forfeit!"
And with that, the match is over and they failed the exam. Tarantula then uses an injector, injecting the anti-venom to the four.
"Listen you guys, life can be cruel and unfair, but this is what happens when you decided to be a hero." Dabi told them. "In this situation, you'll be dealing those villains who are experienced on killing people with no remorse or mercy. You don't have time for second thoughts, you need to come up with an idea and find a way to took them down. Otherwise, you'll end up dead if you don't."
"And Shoto." Tarantula called him, earned his attention. "Once you four head back, talk to Yaoyoruzu. She needs a friend and some support. While it is considerate of you for placing a burden on yourself, but you need to try to socialize with her."
And with that, Tarantula, Dabi, Blue Beetle, and Delta then left, leaving Shoto, Momo, Ibara, and Setsuna alone. Apparently, Shoto had to think about what Dabi and Tarantula told him, which he hadn't thought about having friends since he's been a loner in his life. Shoto only thought about Momo as a comrade, but he may try to have a talk with her when they're alone.
