DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN BROTHERS CONFLICT IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM
Lord Markus was starting to get his things together to go home when he started getting an un easy feeling. He looked around the his library nervous.
"Something's not right," he said to himself. He walked to the door and opened only to see what looked like chaos as he saw a few royal gaurds running past his library.
"What the?" Markus asked as he tried walking further out of the room, only to have a gaurd notice him and stop him.
"Lord Markus, we have to advise you to stay in your room for the time being, the Palace is under a Code 69 sir!"
"A Code 69!" Markus said in alarm, "oh dear! Does anyone know where my niece might be?!"
"We're trying to locate her sir, but at the same time we're also trying to locate the Asahina brothers and Princess Ema herself. Please just stay here and we'll bring you your niece once we have located her."
"Alright," Markus allowed as he shut the door to the library. However, he then went to the picture of his great-grandfather Rubert and pulled at it, revealing his own secret passage.
"Who'd of thought I'd ever have to use this thing for real," Markus said as he ventured in, shutting the painting behind him.
He walked along fast, looking around for a new entrance when he suddenly felt a light shine in his face.
"Lord Markus!" Masaomi said.
"Masaomi?" Markus said as he looked around and saw the group with him, "how did you get in here?"
"Lady Lilac helped us get in," Bea answered.
"Ah, that makes sense," Markus said.
"What about you? How did you get in here?" Tsubaki asked.
"I'm a historian, of course I know about these," said Markus, "My great-great-grandfather installed these. I actually have most the layout memorized, including the openings."
"So you can lead us through all these? Because to be honest we have no idea where we're going," said Masaomi.
"Yes of course," Markus assured him, "I was using these to try and find Sophie anyway. Do you know where we need to go?"
"We need to find Ema! Robert has her!" Tsubaki said.
"Hmm, I think I know some of Robert's more personal rooms, we can try some of those," said Markus as he led them down an opening.
They walked along for a little bit until Markus suddenly stopped.
"What is it?" Masaomi tried to ask. Markus put a hand to his lips and pointed out in front of him where another light was shinning around.
"I thought I heard something," they all heard a familiar voice call out.
"Iori!" Masaomi called to his brother in relief.
Iori rounded a corner along with his party
"And Futo! You too! Thank goodness!" Masaomi said as he hurried to his brothers, "are you two alright?"
"Yeah, those idiots didn't stand a chance against me," Futo bragged.
"We should keep moving, we still have to find the princess," Markus encouraged.
"I don't know, I know someone named Alex said he was going to help bring Azusa, Subaru, and Wataru into the tunnel as well," Masaomi said, "how do we know they won't get lost or know where to go?"
"Oh that's an easy fix," Markus said as he pulled out a pencil case and then pulled out a white pen that he made an x on one of tunnel walls, "we mark each opening we go down and hopefully your brothers are smart enough to follow them."
"That works," Tsubaki said.
"Alright, let's move people! We have find the princess and I'd like to find me niece and we need to find Louis! He'll no doubt be the next target after Ema, especially if Henry wants to finish the job he did all those years ago."
Masaomi, Tsubaki, Iori and Futo all shared their own looks of worry.
"We need to get back to the conservatory too!" Iori suddenly said, "Louis was there and he stayed behind so we could escape!"
"Louis?!" Masaomi said alarmed.
"Oh no! There's a good chance they could take him out this time! Not just because he could be a rival for Robert and the throne but he has some vague memories of what happened to his parents!" Markus mentioned.
"What?!" said all the brothers.
"Is there a way to the conservatory through these tunnels?" Futo asked.
"Yes, you make two rights and a left down this tunnel here and it'll lead you to it!" Markus said pointing down one big opening.
Tsubaki, Iori and Futo all looked towards Masaomi.
"Tsubaki, Lady Bea, can you stay with Lord Markus and see if you can find the room Robert may have taken Ema? The rest can choose to follow me to help Louis or follow Markus!" Masaomi instructed.
"Well I'm with you for sure!" Erica said. Masaomi smiled thankful at her.
"I'll go with you Masaomi," said Iori. Jane nodded in agreement.
"I'm going to find Ema, I'd rather rescue a damsel in distress any day," Futo said. Ami just shook her head.
"Alright, lets go," Masaomi said as he started down the way.
"Masaomi, wait," Markus called out. He handed him a yellow pen, "so you can find your way back."
"Thanks," Masaomi said as he and hia group hurried along.
"Alright boys, and ladies," Markus said, "let's go save us a princess!"
"Yeah!" Tsubaki and Futo both shouted.
"They're still behind us, aren't they?" Heather whispered as she and Hikaru kept walking.
"Oh yes, most definitely," Hikaru confirmed, "and no doubt getting closer."
"Hikaru, I'm sorry but I have to contact my mother. This has gone on for too long," said Heather.
"Very well, she should be made aware of the situation as is," Hikaru agreed.
Heather pulled out her phone and dialed.
"You have Prime Minister Cook, how can I help you?"
"Mother," Heather said softly.
"Heather? What are you doing on the private line? Is everything alright?" Prime minister Cook asked.
"No Mother, I think I might be in trouble. I was out shopping with my friend Hikaru Asahina when these unfamiliar men showed up, claiming to be our escorts. We were able to slip past them in the store but now they're following us down the sidewalk."
There was a short pause on the phone.
"Where are you?" Mrs. Cook asked in a deep serious tone.
"We're walking down the fashion boulevard, we just past my favorite book store named after Princess Eleina," Heather told you.
"Stay alert, stay visible, stay where's lots of people, I'm sending my secret service your way!" Mrs. Cook assured her daughter.
"Don't worry Mother, we will," Heather promised.
"Stay on the line! I want to know when you are 100% safe!" Mrs. Cook also ordered.
"Yes mother," Heather said.
"I am going to do everything I can to protect you dear. No one's going to hurt my baby!" Mrs. Cook declared.
"Thank you Mom," Heather said with slight joy at hearing how much her mother truly cared.
"Um, about that," Hikaru said suddenly tapping Heather on her shoulder. Heather followed his gaze and saw a familiar looking black car pulling up. The back car door opened and Ukyo poked his head out.
"Hikaru!" he shouted.
A gaurd also poked his head out, "get in!"
Hikaru grabbed Heather's hand and dragged her to the waiting car, both dive bombing in. Hannah slammed the door shut behind them.
"Go go go!" Sean ordered his driver as the car drove off. Ukyo, Hannah, Hikaru and Heather were all in a heap in the backseat.
"You okay Hikaru?" Ukyo asked.
"Sure am," Hikaru said with a big smile.
"Heather, what's going on?" Her mom asked over the phone.
"We're safe mom, the Palace guard came for us. We're in one of their cars driving away as we speak," Heather assured her mom.
Everyone could hear the prime minister's sigh of relief. "Let me know when you get to a safe destination."
"I will mom, I love you," Heather said.
"I love you too dear," Mrs. Cook said as Heather hung up.
"Was that your mother the prime minister you were talking to?" Sean asked.
"Yes, we weren't sure how much longer you were going to be," said Heather.
"That's fine, she was bound to find out sooner or later," said Sean, "it's just shits about to get a lot more serious with her involved."
"Yes well, m mother's not one to tolerate unnecessary shit," Heather said with a smirk.
"We're here," Emily said as she pulled up to a nice comfortable looking home.
"Finally," Elizabeth said as she finally managed to wiggle out of Kaname's arms and hurried out of the car. "I got to get inside and start making some calls!"
"I just hope everyone's safe back at the palace!" said Natsume as they all followed her inside.
As they came towards the door, it was suddenly opened and out stepped a young man in his early twenties.
"Liz, is that you?" he asked.
"No time Andy," Elizabeth said as she dashed past him
"Huh?" Andy said before looking back at Emily, "Emily what's going on?"
"We may be involved in some sort of attack aimed at the royal family," Emily said, "oh by the way, these are two of the Princess' stepbrothers Kaname and Natsume Asahina. This is my younger brother Andy."
"Hi," both Kaname and Natsume said as they walked past him inside was well.
"Uh, hi," Andy said as he shut the door behind them. They all headed to the living room and saw Elizabeth pacing back and forth on her cellphone.
"Yes I realize he's very busy, but this takes precedent! Two of our newly appointed ambassadors, the princess' stepbrothers I might add, were threatened! And to a lesser extent so was I along with my sister! No she's not a member of this office, but it's still unacceptable that she was attacked."
"What is all the noise?" An older woman asked walking down the stairs. Behind her was Professor Smith.
"Is it time for my lecture already?" he asked in a half-yawn.
"No dear," his wife said annoyed, "but what is going on? Why is Lizzie here?"
"Not now mom, we'll talk later!" Elizabeth said as she kept pacing, "yes sir, an attempt attack! I have it on good authority they were planning on doing something awful to the brothers. They threaten one and me!"
Everyone heard Mrs. Smith sigh. "She's too much like that brut she called father! I always hoped by leaving her alone she'd find her own path. But she still went down the same path he did!"
"That's why you neglected her growing up?" Kaname asked.
"I didn't mean to turn it into neglect, but yeah. I felt if she was free to make her choices in life she wouldn't turn into that man who abandon her but she still did," Mrs. Smith said with another sigh.
"We'll have to discuss that later, when we're not on the run for our lives," said Kaname.
"WHAT?!" Elizabeth suddenly shouted, "how long ago?! Oh my god! What did the Prime minister say? Uh-huh, uh-huh, okay, sure I'll ask." She looked at her parents, "mom, dad can the Asahina men stay here for the time being? I'm afraid the Palace is issuing a Code 69 which means it's on lockdown. They can't go back until further notice."
"Um sure," said Mrs. Smith.
"Yes, we'll keep them safe here. Please let me know when it's safe to return the men to the palace," Elizabeth said.
"Well?" Natsume asked as he approached Elizabeth.
"The palace is in lockdown! Something big is happening there! They don't know the full details yet either," Elizabeth told him
"So brothers," Natsume sputtered.
"And our sister," Kaname added. They shared a look
"Can you let us know the minute we can get back into the Palace?" Natsume asked.
"Absolutely!" Elizabeth promised, "my office is trying to stay on top of it. They're also sending agents out to the restaurant to investigate the men who ambushed us."
"Thank you," Natsume said before he walked off by himself
"Natsume?" Emily said as she quickly followed after him.
"I, wanted to get away from brothers so much that I now live on my own. But I'd never wanted to see them get hurt!" Natsume muttered more to himself than to Emily.
Emily took his hand. "Don't worry, they'll fix. You're brothers will be alright!"
Natsume looked to her and gave her a half smile, still not feeling 100% assured of what the outcome was going to be.
"So what's going to happen now?" asked Mrs. Smith.
"Sorry mother, but these men have to stay here for the time being as a part of national security," Elizabeth said without even looking at her mom.
"Oh, okay," said Mrs. Smith.
"And maybe we can use this time to work on some issues?" Kaname suggested slyly.
Elizabeth looked back at him then at her mom, not sure if it was a good idea at the moment.
Alex slid in through the main door that led outside to the courtyard and made sure to hide himself when he saw a palace gaurd come by. He knew they'd lock him either as a suspicious person or for his own safety. And he just couldn't let that happen now, not until he confronted Henry. It was something he had been waiting for nearly his whole life.
Alex continued to stay hidden and unnoticed as he hurried along towards the conservatory, ready to kill if the situation called for it and maybe even if it didn't.
Louis was feeling cold and warm at the same time as the traitor butler held onto Sophie by her neck.
He cast a glance at the other butler the traitor had knocked out. The poor man was still out cold.
"He can't help you now, no one can!" the traitor butler taunted, "you better just hope Lord Robert decides to be merciful to you after all you and your brothers did to him!"
"And what was that?" Louis asked, right as the door opened and in walked Henry.
"How about humiliating him, undermining him, showimg him no respect, ans turning his uncle against him!" Henry answered as he came in. He stop and examined the scene around him before he walk up to Louis.
"You're as ugly as you were as a baby. You look too much like your froggy-French mother!" Henry declared as he suddenly punched Louis in the face.
"Louis!" Sophie shouted as she struggled against her captor.
"I should have followed you in there, drown you for real instead of just assuming!" Henry said mad.
"What?" Louis asked as he tried to regain his composure.
"Well no matter. I made a rookie mistake then, but I won't do one now!" Henry continued as he reached for his pocket.
Suddenly something hard landed on Henry's head.
"What the?" Henry sputtered as he tried looking up only to get hit again, and again. Until at last, a whole downpour of acorns seemed to be flying down at him. Louis looked up and saw a frined in one of the trees over him.
"Hailey!" he said happily.
"Don't worry Chay, we got you covered!" Haily called to him.
"We?" Louis asked as he looked around and saw sevral more squirrels raining acorns and other nuts down at Henry.
The traitor butler looked around scared as Henry remained under assault when suddenly he too was hit hard by a flying nut.
"No, no, I'm allergic!" he pleaded in a panic as he let go of Sophie and back away for cover.
Before Sophie could react she heard a door open again and saw Alex hurrying in.
"Is Henry in here?" he demanded.
Sophie looked back at the sight of Henry still being showered by attack acorns.
"Hold it right there Henry!" Alex said as he pulled put his gun
"Who are you?" Henry asked as he slowly turned around, while also still attempting to sheild himself.
"The son and brother of two dead people who's finally come to get his revenge!" Alex declared.
"Hold it!" Louis shouted as he signaled for Haily to sease fire. Hailey and her supporters all stopped throwing.
Louis walked over to Henry and reached into his pocket, pulling out another gun.
"Sorry Alex but you're not the only one looking for revenge!" Louis said as he also pointed the gun at Henry.
"You were about to admit it weren't you? Right before you'd kill me, you were going to admit you killed them! You killed my parents! Admit, you ambushed them on the road to my mother's villa and then you set the car on fire and kiled them!"
"How would you know all that?" Henry asked.
"Because I remember! I remember enough to know, you ambushed us and set my father's car on fire. And my mother, was only able to get me out in time and tell me to run, just run! So I did then. But now, now I'm not running. I'm staying here and I'm going to make you pay for what you did! Now say it! Admit it! You killed my parents! You killed them under Robert's orders so Chi's mother wouldn't have my father as her heir in place of him! Say it!"
"Alright! Alright! Yes, I did kill them! I kill them under Robert's orders! Happy now?!" Henry replied angry.
"Now you can amdit that you set that bomb that was supposed to kill Princess Yolanda! You set that bomb in that attempt to assassinate her and her boyfriend and in turn killed many innocent people!" Alex demanded as he came up behind him.
Henry looked back at him.
"You set that bomb! You blew it up! All those people died because of you! Including my mother and brother! Now say it! You set that bomb!"
"Yes fine! Alright! I did that too! Satisfied?!" Henry snapped looking defeated.
"Won't be satisfied until I know you're gone!" Alex said.
"Wait, I want to know the truth too!" Sophie suddenly said. "Did you truly rape my mother? Did you force herself on her!"
"Oh my god! What is this open mic night?!" Henry grumbled.
"Tell her! Tell her the truth!" Louis also ordered, pointing his gun at Henry's head.
"Alright yes! Yes I had my way your mother! And she was fine!" Henry taunted.
Sophie responded by slapping Henry hard across the face.
"You Bastard!" she shouted, "don't you dare speak of her that way!"
"Oh come on, everyone else wanted a piece of her. I just wasn't afraid to take it! I bet she even liked it better than that guy's she's been saddled with all these years!"
"Don't you dare bring him up either! You will not speak cruel of my father either!" Sophie shouted again as she gave Henry another slap.
"Father? You bimbo, don't you get it? I'm your father!"
No you're not!" Sophie exclaimed.
"You just had me confess to raping your mother! So of course I'm your father!" Henry tried to point out.
"No you're not!" Sophie argued back, this time actually punching Henry's face, "I never said I wanted a confession to that! What I wanted was you to confess you forced yourself on my mother! I know who my father is! His name is Luke! Luke! He raised me, took care of me and protected me from people like you! He loves and I him! And there is no way you could ever be my father! Even if you somehow someway managed to use your DNA to create me, you are by no means my father!"
"I think we've had enough," Alex suddenly spoke up, "unless there's more confessions to be made, I suggest we end this now! End him!"
"No, not yet!" Louis argued.
"What?" Alex asked.
"We can't kill him just yet," said Louis, "he needs to pay more than just his life for what he's done! I want him to make a full confession that he killed my parents!"
"And I want an open confession that he raped and violated my mother!" Sophie added.
"Alright I guess, as long as his life is shortened by the confessions!" Alex reluctantly agreed.
"You're going to let me live?" Henry asked, "boy that's going to be one of the biggest mistakes you've ever made!"
"Oh you think you're not going to pay! You will pay! I guarantee it! Even if it involves unorthodox methods!" Louis declared, once again making sure to push his gun up against Henry's head, "You Murdered My Parents!"
"And You Killed My Mom And Brother And Who Knows How Many Other Loved Ones!" Alex added.
"And You Raped My Mother!" Sophie also added.
"And You Will Finally Pay Good Sir!" all three said together.
"Oh I don't know about that," Henry said a little smug.
Louis, Sophie and Alex followed his gaze and all happened to see the traitor butler sneaking up behind Sophie.
"Oh no you don't! Not this time!" Sophie exclaimed as she did a twirl and kicked the butler in the face, knocking him over. "You got lucky and caught me off guard last time!"
The other butler suddenly woke up and saw hiw traitor partner falling to the ground. He picked up a discarded plate and hit the traitor over the head with it.
"You jerk! i always suspected you were against the crown!" the good muttered.
"Oh, um," Henry said as he looked around at his three captors a little less confident.
Ema more anxious as she was dragged by Robert. She could feel her anger slowly getting replaced by fear, fear she was about to witness one of her brothers actually die.
'If only I had one more chance to flee Elence like my parents did, I'd so take it now. Just to protect my brothers!' she thought right as Robert came to a halt in front of a room with black doors.
He turned and smirked at Ema one last time.
"So at last, here we are, you ready to go in?" Robert asked.
Juli hissed at him.
"Guess so," Robert said as he opened the door, "I hope you're ready, princess. For you see, you are about to witness the empty room?!"
Ema looked around and saw at first the room did looked empty. Until she heard moaning and saw two me stand up, their bodies covered in bruises.
"You! You fools! What the hell happened! You had one job!" Robert shouted.
"We, we were ambushed!" one said.
"By squirrels!" said the other.
"Squirrels?! You were ambushed by!" Robert couldn't even bring himself to finish the sentence.
"Get out! Get out! I'll deal with you later!" he shouted so loud Ema was almost certain she felt a gust of wind blow her back.
The two men dashed out as Robert clenched hia fist and then punched the wall.
How?! Why?!" he shouted looking upwards, "why do they make my life so difficult!"
Ema however took her turn to smirk.
I'm happy with this,' she thought, 'this probably means my brothers are safe for now!'
