Ema wasn't sure what to do as she watched Robert paced back and forth mad. Should she run and try to get away from him? Or should she stay less she figure out if any of her brothers were still in danger and if she could negotiate for their safety.
"Chi," Juli whispered, "I think we should, especially now that he's distracted. He may not even care anymore."
"Maybe, but I want to make sure my brothers are also safe," Ema whispered back.
"Forget about them! You're the princess!" Juli insisted.
"Juli," Ema snapped, "they wouldn't run like that until they knew for sure I was safe!"
Juli sighed, "at least move closer to the door."
Ema nodded in agreement as she took small steps that Robert hopefully wouldn't notice.
"Okay," Robert suddenly said, "I may have lost one that I hated most. But I can still get the another!"
Ema frozs as she watched Robert a small walkie talkie.
"Hello, someone come in, has anyone gotten a hold of the oldest Asahina brother?"
One of Masaomi's attackers struggled to pull free as he heard the voice from his walkie talkie.
"Can you not reach it?" his partner asked.
"No! My hand's tied to the table here while my other's tied to your hand!"
"Yeah and my other hand is tied to his leg!" the partner said motioning to the butler who had tried to help them.
"Along with my other arm tied to your leg!" the butler added.
"So we're all basically stuck here?" the leader asked.
"Untill we're found," said his partner, "either by one of our other guys or one of the royal gaurds!"
"Oh great!" the leader muttered.
"Damn it! Why is no one responding?" Robert asked mad. He gave a heavy sigh, "alright, anyone able to get the second brother? Any ubdates on him?"
"Oh, they didn't find anything good sir," a soft older female voice responded.
"Huh? What? Who's this?" Robert asked.
"Oh this is the control room operator," the lady responded, "you're men were lurking outside my door and as the control room operator, I just couldn't allow that so I'm afraid I had to ask them to move, to the ground. And they got so comfortable they decided to take a nap."
"Ah dman it!" Robert shouted again.
"Now where are you good sir?" the control operator tried to ask.
"None of your business!" Robert snapped, "okay, how about the 3rd brother? The weird religious one?"
"Uh, sir?" a panicked voice responded, "I'm afraid we lost him, along with the group that was supposed to apprehend the one brother named Naughty, or something? They ditch us at the restaurant and took off."
"What? Well find them! How hard could that be?!" Robert ordered.
"Uh, sir, we can't at the moment," the man continued to explain, "we've been pulled over and are being detained by some federal agents."
"What?!" Robert said weakly.
"One of the girls they were with, works for the government and I'm guessing she contacted her office because they are swarming us and apprehending us. In fact they're telling me I have to get off the walkie talkie so I can be detained."
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!" Robert shouted, "alright, fine! Has anyone maybe gotten the 4th brother?!"
"Sir?" came an even weaker and frightened voice, "I'm afraid we were unable to get him."
"Why?" Robert demanded to know.
"Well, sir, they were picked up by what looked like a royal security vehicle."
"Oh come on! You got to be kidding me!" Robert shouted.
"And sir?"
"What?!" Robert bellowed into the walkie talkie.
"Well you see, the 4th brother, he was with the prime minister's daughter when we tried to nab him and well she must have contacted her mother because we're currently being surrounded by the prime minister's security force!"
"What?" Robert said now starting to sound scared, "the prime minister? The prime minister's getting involved? Oh no! No no no! Why did that bitch have to get involved! She hates me! She'll use this against me, I know it!"
Ema and Juli shared a look. The news they were getting seemed to be good so far.
They looked back at Robert who looked like he was close to fainting.
"Okay, I know we have one brother, I regonized his voice. The Australian guy or something, Aussa?"
Ema and Juli both shook their heads.
"Who has Aussa? Bring him to me immediately!"
"Sir? We don't have Aussa," said a new voice.
"What do you mean you don't have him? I heard you say you had him!" Robert said.
"Well, we don't. In fact we're currently locked up in a horse stall with a very triggered horse. We can't seem to make the slightest noise and he gets upset!"
"Sounds like Emperor," Robert muttered. "But, wait there were some others groups heading that way, right?! One of you has to have at least one of the brothers, right?!"
"Mmm, sorry sir but no," a new female voice said.
"Natasha?" Robert said.
"Natash?" Ema also said.
"The group that was supposed to go after Subaru are currently locked up as well in Valkyrie's stall and you know she's as trigger happy as Emperor. And as for the ones that were after Wataru, well, they're still limping around outside in the pastured. I can see them from the stables. They look really hurt. I think Wind Storm may have stepped on them and let me tell you that can hurt. I don't think they'll be able to go far before the royal gaurds find them."
"Natasha! You traitor! I'll make you pay for this! You hear me!" Robert threatened.
"You already broke my leg. What else could you do?" Natasha replied.
"I could have you killed!" Robert taunted.
"Yeah that's your favorite go to move isn't it?" Natasha said sarcastically.
"Bitch! I'll have to deal with her later!" Robert muttered. He rubbed his face in frustration, "okay, any other brothers? Any at all? Or does anyone at least know where they're whereabouts are?"
"Owen, Owen let me see that device," he suddenly heard Lady Lilac's voice calling out.
"But Granny," Owne was heard saying.
"Give it to me!" Lady Lilac ordered, "I want to talk to that Nazi personally!"
"Ugh, again with that Nazi bullshit!" Robert complained mad as Lady Lilac was suddenly heard.
"Listen here good sir! This Princess Lilac, daughter of King Harrold the 8th and sister to King Stephon the 1st! And let me tell you, you will not overrun this kingdom! Even if I have to shoot you myself, I will! I already help one of my nieces, Eleina escape and my other niece Iris' daughter escape with their men friends. They're safe from you and your kind!"
"Eleina? That must be Beatrice for sure, but who in her mind would be one of Iris' daughters? I'll figure that out later! Who has the pop idol? He was heading to the Wallflower wasn't he?"
"Uh sir?" came a response, "he got away with the help of his girlfriend. She shot James in his hand, and she," there was a short pause, "shot Tommy the butler too."
"Is it anything serious?" Robert asked.
"Oh, let's just say she hit him good!"
Ema looked back at Juli with an uneasy look. They could tell Robert looked uneasy as well.
"Okay, well you go ahead and get him treated," Robert said, "um, there's two left? Any updates on them?"
"Sir?" a scared voice said.
"Tell him," Billy's voice ordered over the walkie talkie.
"Sir, Skip was trying to apprehend the one brother Yusuke and shot at him and well, he hit Prince Zane instead."
"He what?" Robert asked as he really did look like he was going to fall over, "Skip shot the prince?!"
"And his security staff has already contacted his grandfather, as is standard. I wouldn't be surprised if he and the boy's father weren't already halfway here," said Billy.
"You idiots shot a prince! Oh my god! Oh my God!" Robert shouted loud, "this is getting out of hand! This was supposed to be a simple grab-n-go! You've done it before so easily! Why is it so hard to get your hands on these particular men! Henry! You got to get your men together! They're screwing up all over the place!"
"They're screwing up all over the place!" Louis, Sophie and Alex all heard Robert shouted over the walkie talkie they had found on Henry.
"You better tell him," Louis said holding it up to Henry. Alex pointed his gun up against the back of Henry's head.
Henry sighed mad before he responded, "Robert, I'm afraid I can't be of any help right now. You see I'm also, incapacitated at the moment."
"You're what?!"
"I'm a little tied up at the moment," Henry tried to explain, looking at his arms being tied to a chair by the good butler.
"What? That doesn't make sense! Tied up! How could you be tied up!"
"He means," Louis said taking the walkie talkie, "he's confessed to everything Robert. He confessed to raping Lady Sophie's mother, he confessed you ordered him to blow up the hospital, killing all those innocent people, people's mothers and brothers. And he confessed you ordered him to kill my parents!"
Ema saw Robert look like he was going to crush the walkie talkie in his hand.
"Louis?" he said, "is that you?"
"I know the truth Robert! My mother and father were killed on your orders! You just couldn't handle my father being ahead of you! Even though he was worthy to be king and the only royal thing about is that you were born into a royal family!"
"My mother was a princess born to a king!" Robert shouted, "what was your father?! A great-grandson of a queen? How special was that to be worthy to be a king?!"
"I don't know, but I know he was worthy, more than you! A worthy king wouldn't have killed a man and his family just for a throne!" Louis shouted back.
"What do you know?" Robert taunted.
"I know we have your lacky, the one who committed the crimes and we've got him to confess. I'm curious what happens to a regent when he's accused of murder," Louis replied.
"We'll see if you live long enough to find out!" Robert said as he turned off the walkie talkie all together.
Louis took a deep breath on anger.
"I have to go, I have to at least go and find Iori, and then maybe my other brothers," he said.
"That's fine, do what you have to," Alex said as he circled Henry still with the gun.
"You know none of what you got me to confess will stick right?" Henry suddenly said, "I can easily claim duress given how you were pointing guns at me at the time and that I merely feared for my life."
Louis walked over to Henry and looked him straight in the eye.
"I don't care how it happens, I don't care where or when, but you are going to pay for your crimes after today. Even if what you say is true, there are other ways."
"Like you could do something like that," said Henry smug.
"Oh I don't know, you managed to hide all your crimes all these years. And I'm higher up on the social status than you. Plus I have the king's favor. And if you were able to hide all your evil doings over the years, how hard can it be?" Louis asked.
Henry looked a little uneasy again.
Just then he heard a familiar shout.
"Louis! Are you still in here?!"
"Iori?" Louis said, "I thought I told him to run!"
He turned to look around and was surprised to see not only Iori and Jane, but Masaomi and Erica as well.
"Louis!" Iori and Masaomi exclaimed with relief as they hurried to their brother.
"Looks like you were able to handle yourself well," Erica said as she observed Henry and the traitor butler also tied up.
"Dean?" Jane said in surprised to see the butler tied up.
"I know, it surprised me too," said the good a sigh.
"I was able to hear most of what was going on. It sounds like Robert was attempting to get all of us, but it also sounds like he's failed miserably," Louis told his brothers.
"So no one's been caught so far?" Masaomi asked.
"As far as I can tell yes, for the moment, everyone is safe from him," said Louis. Both Masaomi and Iori let go deep heavy sigh.
"That's good, but we still have to find Ema," Masaomi mentioned.
"Chi?! Oh no! I should have known! He didn't ask about her!" Louis said scared.
"Do you know where he has her?" Erica asked Henry.
Henry just gave her an angry side glare.
"Hello, she asked you a question!" Alex said pointing the gun at Henry's cheek.
"I don't know," Henry admitted, "all I know he was heading to the place they had found Lady Beatrice and that brother of yours that seduced her away!"
"The black lounge?" Jane said. Everyone looked at her.
"It's Lady Beatrice's favorite private room. She has a computer and stuff in there just for her," Jane explained.
"I wonderif we can contact Tsubaki or Lord Markus and let them know," Masaomi started to say.
"My uncle?" Sophie asked, "oh I'm sure he can be of help. I bet he can even go through the secret tunnels to maybe sneak her out!"
"You know of the secret tunnels?" Masaomi asked.
"Of course, my uncle's the royal historian. He knows the palace inside out!" Sophie said, "and he showed me the layout of them."
"Do you know how to work your way throug them?" Masaomi asked.
"Of course, at least to the black lounge!" Sophie said.
"Well come on, let's go!" Masaomi insisted as he urged Sophie to the conservatory tunnel opening.
"There's been tunnels in this place the whole time and I've had to sneak around?" Henry muttered.
"I'll stay here with him just in case," Alex said glaring at Henry.
"Uh, Alex?" Louis started to say.
"Don't worry I won't kill him. It's like you said, we should at least try and see if we can make him pay the honest way," Alex assured him.
"Alright," Louis agreed.
"Let's go guys!" Masaomi again insisted.
"So there's really secret tunnels in the palace?" Louis asked.
"Yes, King Stephon the1st's father had them put them due to unresolved frear from the WW1 and the that dissolved the Russian monarch," Sophie explained.
"Makes sense," Iori said who was texting on his phone.
Azusa kept a tight grip on Wataru's hand as he hurried to the terrace looking for the so called opening Alex had mentioned.
"Azusa, look!" Wataru suddenly said. Azusa followed his gaze ans sas the three men all tied up in an odd way. "What happened to them?"
"I don't know, but I don't trust them. Let's just leave them alone and let Richard's people handle them. If I'm wrong I'll apologize later," Azusa said right as he noticed a part of the wall that seemed to be sticking out.
"Come on Wataru, in here," he said as managed to pull the wall open a little and usher his little brother inside.
"What about Subaru?" Wataru asked.
"Don't worry about him. He can handle himself better than you since he's older. No offense," Azusa said.
"Okay," Wataru said nervous as he watched Azusa slowly shut the opening just a little.
"Azusa, I kind of want to go home now," Wataru admitted as they walked along.
"Yeah, well, I'm sure plenty of knights felt that way too back in the day," Azusa tried to reassure his brother.
He let Wataru squeeze his hand tighter as they walked.
"Hey Azusa," he asked again, "why do you supposed there's these white marks on the wall?"
Azusa stopped and looked at one. He used his free hand to touch it and realized it was freshly made.
"I don't know, but let's try following them and see if they can lead us anywhere," he said as the two brothers walked along.
"Ted! Ted!" Natasha tried calling out to the stable worker that had been supposed to be watching Wataru while he road. The poor man was still lying unconscious by the fence and it was hard for Natasha to make her way over to him.
"Shit!" Natasha muttered.
"Natasha?" Rose called out as she and Subaru ran into the stables.
"Oh you're okay," Natasha said when she saw the couple, "could one of you go help Ted? I think Wataru's attackers knocked him out when they tried to grab the boy."
"Oh dear," Rose said as she dashed out to him.
"Where are my brothers? Did they make it to that tunnel thing?" Subaru asked.
"I think so, if you hurry you can probably catch up to them," Natasha said.
"Are you two going to be okay?" Subaru asked looking out to where Rose was helping wake Ted up and help him stand.
"Oh yeah, we'll be fine," Natasha assured him, "but I also have some good news. From what I could gather, all of your brothers are safe for now."
"Good, but what about Ema?" Subaru asked.
"That, I don't know," Natasha admitted, "but she has to be in the place still. There's no way Robert could have gotten her out."
"Alright thank you!" Subaru said as he hurried out.
"Is he going after his brothers?" Rose asked as he helped Ted into the stables.
"Yeah, I think all the other brothers are actually safe for now," Natasha told her.
"Just what is going on?" Ted asked.
"When we find out everything, we'll let you know," Natasha muttered.
Subaru ran to the terrace and was quick to notice an opening among the wall. He was just about to pull on it when he heard moaning and looked to see the three tied up men.
"We are so doomed!" one was muttering.
Subaru just shook his head before racing into the tunnels himself. He walked along until he saw a smudge white mark on one of the walls. He looked further down and saw more marks and decided to follow them.
"How long is he going to keep standing here?" Futo asked annoyed as he, Tsubaki, Bea and Ami behind Markus standing in a center of five tunnel openings looking around.
"Just trying to analyze where would be the best place to try and search for Robert," Markus said, "wish we had some clue as to where he would attempt to bring Ema to."
"You don't think he'd take her back to the lounge we were in do you?" Tsubaki asked.
"That's be stupid even for him," said Bea.
"Uh Lady Bea, where you in the black lounge?" Futo suddenly asked looking at his phone.
Tsubaki pulled his phone as well and looked at it, "guess he is stupid for him."
"Where were you at Beatrice?" Markus asked not turning around.
"The black lounge," said Bea.
"This way!" Markus said pointing to an opening.
"Wait did you hear something?" Ami asked as she looked behind her. Everyone could hear some voices and faint shadows.
"Azusa!" Tsubaki shouted as he shoved Futo and the ladies over and ran to the shadows.
"Tsubaki?" Azusa said as he and Wataru came into view.
"Oh good! You're alright! And Wataru too!" Tsubaki said happily.
"Yeah," Azusa said patting Tsubaki's shoulder
"Futo you're okay too!" Wataru shouted running over to his brother.
"Of course I am," Futo said.
"Are you happy I'm okay too?" Wataru asked.
"Of course I am, don't be ridiculous," Futo admitted, patting Wataru's head.
"Subaru's okay too! He should be coming soon once he saves his girlfriend!" said Wataru.
"Well that's good to hear," said Tsubaki.
"Do you know what's going on?" Azusa asked.
"I'm guessing me officially calling off our arranged marriage agreement has pushed Robert over the edge that he wants you all gone one way or another," Bea explained.
Azusa glared at Tsubaki, "I knew you'd get us into trouble if you kept seeing her!" he snapped as he smacked Tsubaki upside the head.
"Sorry," Tsubaki said rubbing his head.
"Oh he was going to snap soon anyway, even without you present. He wants to be king so badly and Stephon has just refused to die to make it so," Markus said, "now let's go, Ema still needs us!"
"Hello?" they suddenly heard Subaru shout out.
"It's Subaru!" Wataru exclaimed.
"Subaru, over here!" Azusa called back. Running could be heard and soon Subaru was among them too.
"Subaru! Yay!" Wataru cheered.
"Good to you and Futo are alright," Subaru said nodding to Tsubaki, "Natasha said all of our brothers should be safe for now."
"You know, somehow I'm not surprised you all managed outdo Robert and Henry's men," Markus joked, "but we still need to get going, to the black lounge. It's where he has Ema don't forget!"
"Ema?!" Subaru and Azusa said.
"Big Sister?!" said Wataru.
"Lord Markus?" Masaomi said suddenly coming into the opening with his group. When he saw Wataru he immediately ran and scooped the boy up. "I'm glad you're safe Wataru!"
"Of course I am!" Wataru insisted.
"He actually saved me," Subaru mentioned.
"Oh Subaru! Azusa!" Masaomi also said with relief.
"According to Natasha we're all safe," said Subaru.
"Oh that is so good to hear!" Masaomi happily said.
"Did you get my message?" Iori asked.
"Yes, we're trying to head there now!" Markus said pointing the way.
"Lord Markus can you take Wataru somewhere safe?" Masaomi asked putting his little brother down.
"Gladly," said Markus.
"But, Masa," Wataru tried to argue.
"Wataru, I don't want any arguments from you! i want you safe and away from trouble! Stay with Lord Markus until it's safe!"
"It's alright Lad, we can be royal messengers and find the king to let him know what's going on," Markus suggested.
"Okay," Wataru agreed.
"Let's go guys!" Masaomi ordered as he went down the tunnel. Everyone else followed him.
"I'm going with them too Uncle," Sophie said.
"You just stay safe Young Lady!" Markus ordered.
"Uncle, you taught me so much. I'm sure I can handle it," Sophie assured him as she finally made her way down.
"Come on Wataru, let's go find the king," said Markus as he led Wataru down a different corridor.
"To the king!" Wataru shouted.
"That a boy," Markus said with a laugh.
"Any news?!" King Stephon demanded.
"None yet, but it looks like the fake claim of Prince Zane getting shot may have spooked Robert enough to start backtracking his plan here," Richard said.
"Oh!" Stephon muttered. He paused when he heard a creek. He slowly shifted his eyes and saw the wall moving. And then Markus' head coming out.
"See anything?" he heard Wataru asked.
"Wataru!" Stephon shouted.
Wataru ran out past Markus and over to Stephon.
"Grandpa!" he found himself blurting out as he ran and hugged the king.
"It's alright son, I'm here!" Stephon comfort him as he hugged the boy back.
"How did you find him?" Richard asked Markus.
"Lady Lilac helped get the boys in there for their protection and then I found them as I was looking for Sophie. All are safe and from what I can tell the other young men are also safe," Markus explained.
"You sure?" Stephon asked.
"Not a100%, but I have a good feeling," Markus insisted.
"But what about Ema?" Stephon asked.
"She's in the black lounge with Robert! That's what we were coming to tell you about!" said Wataru.
"The black lounge? Richard!" Stephon snapped.
"All available units, move in on the black lounge! I repeat the black lounge! But use caution as Lord Robert is currently holding the princess there!" Richard radioed.
"Wataru you stay with me for now! We're going to save your sister!" Stephon said as he stormed off, pulling Wataru along.
"Alright!" Wataru cheered.
Yusuke rounded another corner, and glanced around at the different doors, hoping one would give off a clue to if Ema and Robert were behind it.
"Either I'm stupid or they're not in any if these rooms either," he muttered as he walked along.
"All available units, move in on the black lounge! I repeat the black lounge! But use caution as Lord Robert is currently holding the princess there!"
"The black lounge?" Yusuke said as he looked up and saw a sign over a pair of black doors that read BLACK LOUNGE.
"Oh come on!" Yusuke said as he ready his gun. "Here I come Ema!" he shouted as he charged at the door.
