A scene then shows Ash, Goh, and all their Pokémon taking a group photo.
Another day of school was drawing to an end, and Ash was hanging out with Marinette and Alya, whom were reading a magazine!
Marinette: [reading a magazine] "Leo: Your heart's gonna roar". [turns the page and sees pictures of Adrien in both pages] Wow, roar!
Popplio: POP!
Marinette and Alya: [giggle]
Ash: [eating a rice ball he made] OM!
Pikachu: [eating his snack] PIKACHU!
Ash: You girls doing anything after school?
Marinette: Not really! What about you?
Ash: I'm thinking of going over to the park to do some special training! Would you two like to come and watch?
Marinette: Sure! That sounds like fun!
Popplio: [claps] POP POP!
Alya: Yeah! I've always wanted to see something like that! It would be great for my blog!
Ash: Awesome! Just be warned, we train super strong!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: I'm sure we can handle it!
Alya: Definitely! Maybe Popplio would wanna get in on the action!
Marinette: I'm not so sure about that! [cuddles Popplio] My baby girl isn't ready for a Pokémon battle yet!
Popplio: [happily nuzzles against her] POPPLIO!
Ash: That's fine! I won't force you to do something you don't wanna do at this particular moment! And you're right! Popplio just hatched weeks ago! It's more interested in playing and helping you, Marinette!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Alya: Eh, suit yourself!
Ash: [chuckles]
Across the courtyard, Nino was spying on them, Marinette in particular.
Adrien: [appears behind] [teasing] FYI, Marinette's never going to fall in love with a statue.
Litten: LITTEN!
Nino pulled Adrien aside so no one could hear him tell his secret!
Nino: Shhh! You know I'm no good with the ladies, especially this one all of a sudden. I mean, dude, do I go up to her and crack her a joke? Shoot her a compliment? Invite her to the zoo? Play it serious?
Adrien: Nino, you're way over-thinking this. "Invite her to the zoo", you serious?
Litten: [saying "What's a zoo?"] LITTEN?
Nino: Seriously, Litten?! You don't know what a zoo is?!
Litten: [shakes its head] LITTEN!
Adrien: [picks his partner up and puts him on his shoulder] A zoo is an establishment which maintains a collection of wild animals, typically in a park or gardens, for study, conservation, or display to the public, also to keep safe from endangerment, little buddy!
Litten: [understands] LITTEN!
Adrien: [to Nino] What made you think of the zoo anyway?
Nino: Well, [rubs the back of his head] they have this really cool new exhibit there.
Adrien: [wraps an arm around him] Listen, just be yourself, man.
Nino: That's easy for you to say, Mr. Front-of-the-cover-Teen-Model-weekly. I'm not that cool.
Adrien: You're cool too, dude, trust me - or you wouldn't be my best bud. Invite her to the zoo. She'll say "yes", I promise.
Litten: [agrees] LITTEN!
That gave Nino confidence and started walking over to Marinette, Alya and Ash!
Pikachu: [ears perk up] [sees Nino] PI?
Ash: Hm? [sees Nino] Oh! Hey, Nino! What's up?
However, he panicked at the last minute and ran straight back to Adrien!
Ash: Huh? Well, that was weird!
Pikachu: PIKA?
Alya: [to Lucario] Whaddya suppose that was about?
Lucario: [shrugs] MRAH RAH!
Nino: What if I act like a moronosaurus, or she disses me or thinks I'm lame or - ?
Litten: [sighs] LIT...
Adrien: Okay, I got your back. [as he and Nino fist-bump]

Scene changes to Pikachu in an open field twirling Ash's hat on its tail and then putting on and smiling as Ash reads the title of the chapter!
Ash (voiceover): Chapter 17: Animan!
Narrator: Another school day has come to an end, and Ash is about to go do some special training! And Marinette and Alya are coming with him to watch! [sees Nino and Adrien hiding behind the school's stairs] What's this? What are Adrien and Nino up to?
Ash: [kisses Juleka on the cheek] See you later, Juleka! I'm going to do some special training!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Lucario: MRAH!
Juleka: 'Kay, babe.
She then kissed him on the cheek!
Juleka: [hugs him] Love you.
Ash: [hugs her back] Love you too, Jules!
Then, she playfully booped him on the nose and walked away!
Ash: [sighs romantically]
Pikachu: [smiles] PIKACHU!
Alya: Alright, lover boy! Let's go!
Ash: I'm coming, Alya!
Marinette: [holding the magazine in front of her] Oh, he's such a—
Alya: Smartie, hottie, suavísimo, yummy-tastic spellbinder!
Marinette: All of the above.
Ash: [snickers] Clearly!
Pikachu: [snickers] PIKA. PIKA.
Popplio: [giggling] POPPLIO!
Ash: Me thinks you're a little too obsessive with Adrien!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: I'm not that obsessive! [staring at Adrien's picture] He's just such a dreamboat!
Ash: [chuckles] We can see that!
Pikachu: PIKA!
But then, Marinette bumped into someone!
Marinette: Huh?
Popplio: POP?
Nino just stood very still in front of Marinette, with a wide nervous smile.
Ash: Uh, hey, Nino! What's up?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Lucario: MRAH?
Popplio: POPPLIO?
Adrien: [appears behind Nino] Oh, so sorry. [nudges him] Right, Nino?
Nino: Sorry.
Marinette: [nervously giggles]
However, she looked down to see the magazine pages with pictures of Adrien wide open!
Marinette: Ahh!
Marinette bent down to pick up the magazine before Adrien sees it, but he walked over to pick it up for her. They ended up bumping into each other by their foreheads.
Marinette and Adrien: Sorry.
Ash: [rolls his eyes playfully]
Pikachu: [giggles] PIKACHU!
Adrien: Sorry about that. How could we make it up to you? Any ideas...Nino?
Ash: Hm?
However, Nino didn't answer!
Nino: [whimpers nervously]
Litten: [sighs] LIT...
Adrien: How about we all check out the...zoo today?
Marinette: [squeals excitedly]
Adrien: Word is they've got a new... [snaps his fingers in front of Nino]
Nino: Uh, they-they got a new panther.
Alya: Awesome idea, right, Marinette? You love animals.
Ash: Uh, what's a zoo?
Pikachu: [tilts his head in confusion] PIKA?
Lucario: MRAH?

Ash: Wow! That sounds pretty cool!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA!
Ash: [to Adrien] Marinette's totally into animals! [nudges her] Right, Marinette?
Marinette: Uh, yeah. I, uh, I'm really into zoonimals. I mean, uh, anizools. I mean zoonimoos. I... [sighs]
Ash: [giggles] [realizes] Oh, but we can't come because I was gonna- [as Alya steps on his foot to shut him up] OW!
Alya: [while Ash winces in pain] What he meant to say was Marinette would totally love to join you!
Adrien: Cool. Say, after school, four o'clock? [looks at Nino] Nino, sound good? [as Nino nods nervously] Cool, four o'clock then.
Marinette: Four!
Adrien nodded before he pulled Nino and walked away.
Marinette: Four o'clock. [lovestruck] Yeah...
Ash: [as Alya removed her sneaker from his foot] OW! What did you do that for?! And what about my special training?!
Pikachu: [pouts] PIKACHU!
Alya: We can worry about that later! Right now, we need to get ready for a trip to the zoo! Plus, this is the perfect opportunity to get Marinette and Adrien together!
Ash: [drops his frown] Well, I have always wondered what it looks like in a zoo! [smiles] I suppose I could tag along! And I can even invite Juleka!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA!
Alya: There you go! [to Lucario] How 'bout you, Lucario?
Lucario gave it some thought and then it decided!
Lucario: [nods] MRAH RAH!
Alya: That's what I'm talkin' about!
Ash: [notices Marinette lovestruck] Huh? Marinette?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Popplio: POP?
Alya: Uh, Earth to Marinette? You do realize the guy you're completely crazy about has just asked you out, right?
Marinette: Yeah... [panicking] Huh, wait, what?! No, not like this! Not here, not today! I haven't washed my hair! I'm not wearing my lucky socks! Fine! Help me, Alya! I can't do this alone! [holds onto Alya, while the latter pats her head]
Ash: Marinette! Relax! Deep breaths! Slowly!
Marinette: [takes deep breaths]
Ash: Now, we calm?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Marinette: Yes. I'm calm.
Ash: Good! Now, why don't we head back to your place so we can freshen up and I can even help you with your hair!
Marinette: You'd do that, Ash? I never knew you could even do that!
Ash: Well, there's a first time for everything!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Marinette: Okay then! Let's go!
At the Seine riverbank, Nino and Adrien were sitting on a bench and talking to each other!
Nino: How did you do that, dude?
Adrien: Like I said: "Just be yourself".
Nino: Right, sure. If I could be yourself; myself don't work that way.
Adrien: [sips from a can] You're being ridiculous. Of course you can. And when you're alone with Marinette at the zoo later on— [tosses his can in the trash]
Nino: Whoa, what do you mean alone with Marinette? Oh no, dude. You're coming with me. You can't leave me alone by myself. Uh-uh.
Litten: LITTEN?
Adrien: [sighs] No prob, Nino. What are friends for? [as he Nino fist-bump again]
Back at Marinette's, Ash was helping Marinette with washing her hair! And he was being very gentle, much to Marinette's surprise and pleasure!
Pikachu: [playing] PIKA PIKA!
Popplio: [playing] POPPLIO POP!
Marinette: [relaxed] Oh wow! This feels so relaxing! I didn't know you were this gentle, Ash!
Ash: [chuckles sheepishly] I guess I am!
Marinette: If I had known you were this good, I would've asked you to be my personal masseuse!
Tikki: I agree!
Ash: And that's not all! Once I'm done, I'll help you with styling your hair!
Marinette: I can't wait!
Soon, after they finished, Ash was brushing and then styling Marinette's hair! He did it in a long braid that went around and across her shoulder!
Ash: Finished!
Pikachu: [holding up a mirror] PIKA!
She was surprised by her look!
Marinette: Wow! This looks pretty good!
Ash: I call it: "Braid a la Elsa!"
Pikachu: PIKA PI!
Marinette: Wow! I didn't know you can style hair!
Ash: I'm honestly surprised I had it in me!
Tikki: And they say guys can't style hair!
Marinette: I know! Thanks, Ash!
Ash: No problem, Marinette! I'm sure Alya and Adrien will like this!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: I know! Let's get going!
Popplio: [wants her to pick her up] POP POP!
Marinette: Okay, Popplio! [picks up her baby girl]
Popplio: [happy] POPPLIO!
Marinette: I'm gonna be on a date with Adrien, Popplio! So I want you to be on your best behavior! Okay?
Popplio: [nods] [affirmative] POP POP!
Marinette: Good! Now, let's go meet up with Alya and show her my new hairstyle, then head to the zoo!
Popplio: [claps] POP!
Soon, they met up with Alya, who was with Juleka! And when they saw the two friends, they were surprised by Marinette's new hairstyle!
Alya: Whoa! Girl!
Marinette: Whaddya think? You like it?
Alya: I love it! It looks fantastic!
Marinette: Thanks! Ash did it for me!
Both Alya and Juleka were surprised when she said that!
Alya: YOU styled her hair, Ash?
Ash: [nods] Yep!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Alya: Dude! I didn't know you can style hair!
Juleka: [mumbles] Me neither.
Ash: Neither did I! I'm honestly surprised I had it in me!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Alya: Yo, you think you can style my hair some time?
Ash: Sure! I'd love to!
Juleka: And me too, babe?
Ash: [smiles] Juleka, you know I'd do anything for you! Of course!
Pikachu: [smiles] PIKA!
That made Juleka smile too! Then, she hugged him and kissed him on the cheek!
Juleka: Thanks, babe.
Ash: [giggles]
Soon enough, they arrived at the zoo, but Marinette seemed to wearing an earpiece in her ear.
Alya: [from the earpiece] One, two, one, two, testing. D'you read me, girl?
Marinette: I can hear you. But I still don't think I can go through with this.
Ash: No sense in chickening out now!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Who are you calling a chicken?!
Popplio: [pouts] POP!
Ash: Look, just be yourself and don't babble!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Juleka: [mumbles] Yeah, you've got this.
Marinette: You really think I can do this?
Alya revealed to be hiding behind some trees!
Alya: 'Course you can. Just be yourself!
Marinette: Remember the last time I did that?
Popplio: [tilts her head] POPPLIO?
[Flashback]
Alya: Just be yourself, Marinette.
Determined, Marinette walked away and opened a door to a room, where she saw Adrien washing his hands.
Boys: Hey! [startles Marinette] What're you doing in here? Get out!
Adrien and Kim were surprised to see Marinette as she leaped out the room, closing the door, just as someone threw a roll of toilet paper at the door.
Boys: Get out! Boys' room!
Popplio: [scared] POP! [Bubble Beam move] POP...POP POP POP POP POP POP POP POP POP POP POP POP!
Marinette: Popplio, no!
Boy: Aw, man! I'm soaked!
Marinette: Uh oh.
Then, the flashback ended!
Ash: Yeah! That wasn't the best experience!
Marinette: Yeah! And Popplio almost got in trouble for it!
Popplio: [guilty] [saying "Sorry, Mama."] POP POP.
Ash: Well, at least Popplio was defending you! Anyway, I think you should try again! Second time's the charm! Don't worry! It won't be like last time! Just think of Adrien as me!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Okay! [through the earpiece] [teasing] This should go more smoothly than last time!
Popplio: [giggles] POPPLIO!
Alya: Fine, just be yourself and look where you're going.
Ash: Good idea!
Marinette: Oh, where are you, love of my life?
Tikki: How's Adrien supposed to be the love of your life if you can't even talk to him?
Ash: [gasps]
Marinette: [determined] [closes her purse] Tikki, stay out of sight. I'm gonna talk to him, you'll see. I will speak to him!
Alya: That's right, girl! Way to be motivated!
Marinette: Yeah! [giggles]
Ash: [in his head] Phew. That was close.
Pikachu: [sighs in relief] PIKA...
Lucario: [sighs] MRAH!
Marinette: [looks to her right and sees someone] Ah, there they are!
Turns out, it was just Max and Kim.
Ash: No! It's just Max and Kim!
Max: [waves at Marinette]
Kim: [arm raised in salutation] Hey, Marinette! Ash! Juleka!
Ash: Hey, you guys!
Pikachu: [greeting] PIKACHU!
Marinette: [sighs] False alarm. [waves to Max and Kim] Hey, Kim, Max; what are you doing here?
Kim: We heard the new panther's here. I wanna see who's got the bigger guns! [strikes a series of muscle poses]
Ash: Just don't do anything reckless! Otherwise, you'll be on the panther's menu!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [nods in agreement] MRAH!
Kim: Relax, Ash! I'm not afraid of some putty tat!
Max: Do you want to come with us?
Alya: [from the earpiece] Marinette, target at ten o'clock!
Marinette: NO!
Popplio: [startled] POP!
Marinette: Oh! Sorry, Popplio! [picks her up and hugs her] Mommy didn't mean to scare you!
Popplio: [forgiving] POP!
Max and Kim stand there, confused!
Ash: Marinette!
Marinette: Aha, I mean, uh, thanks but...no thanks. I'm waiting for someone. Uh, you go ahead.
Kim: 'Kay, maybe we'll see you later, then.
Ash: Man, I really wanted to see that panther!
Marinette: You and Juleka can go see it if you want to!
Ash: Really? You sure, Marinette? What about-
Marinette: I'll be fine! Trust me!
Ash: Okay, Marinette! Call me if you need anything! [to Juleka] [smiles] Wanna go see the new panther, Juleka?
Juleka: [smiles] Yeah.
She then hugged his arm!
Juleka: Let's go.
Ash: [smiles] [nods] [to Max and Kim] Mind if we join you two?
Kim: Sure!
Max: [as they begin to walk away] Right this way!
Ash: See you later, Marinette!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Marinette: Yeah, later!
Marinette began to search for Adrien, but she only saw Nino, who smiled nervously while waving and walking towards her.
Marinette: [speaks to Alya through the earpiece] Where's Adrien?
Alya: [from the earpiece] I don't know.
Marinette: Uh, hey, Nino! [looks behind him] Uh, isn't Adrien with you?
Popplio: [looking for Adrien] POPPLIO?
Nino only shrugged nervously. Adrien seemed to be hiding behind the bushes in front of a zoo sign, then popping up from hiding behind the bushes.
Adrien: Tell her you'll both be better off without me.
It turns out Nino and Adrien have an earpiece set-up as well!
Nino: We'll be better off without me.
Marinette: [confused] Huh?
Plagg: [pops out of Adrien's hair, as the latter tries to shush him] Ah, this trip is turning out to be a lot more interesting than I thought. Turn up the volume!
Litten: [while grabbing Plagg, telling him to get down] LITTEN.
Plagg: Hey!
Adrien: [sighs]
Nino: Uh, without him. I mean, we don't need Adrien to hang out at the zoo.
Alya: [reacting, from the earpiece] Of course we do, you dumbo!
Marinette: Of course we do, you dumb—oh I mean, wasn't he supposed to come? Don't you wanna wait for him?
Adrien: [from the earpiece] Tell her you want to be alone with her.
Nino: [whispers to Adrien] Not yet!
Marinette: What was that?
Popplio: POP?
Nino: [to Marinette] You're right; we'll wait.
Adrien: [from the earpiece] No! What are you talking about? Don't wait for me; I'm not coming!
Nino just stood there, completely nervous!
Popplio: [tilts her head] POPPLIO?
At the panther exhibit, the zookeeper, Otis, who also happened to be Alya's father, was feeding the panther a large hunk of meat.
Otis: [sets a tray of meat down] Look what Daddy's brought you. Only the finest for my baby.
Then, the pather started tearing at the meat!
Ash: [eyes sparkle] Wow! A black panther! It looks so cool!
Pikachu: [awed] PIKA PIKA...
Lucario: [impressed] MRAH RAH!
Juleka: Awesome.
Otis: [notices Ash] Ah, you must be Ash.
Ash: [surprised] You heard of me?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Lucario: MRAH?
Otis: Of course! I heard a lot about you from my daughter, Alya! All good things of course!
Ash: Then, that means you must be her dad!
Otis: Indeed I am! My name's Otis! A pleasure to finally meet you!
Ash: You too, Mr. Césaire!
Pikachu: [greeting] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [greeting] MRAH RAH!
Otis: Please! Call me Otis!
Ash: Oh! Sure thing, Otis!
Otis: And these must be your Pikachu and Lucario!
Pikachu: [greeting with a paw raised] PIKA PIKA!
Lucario: [bows in greeting] MRAH MRAH!
Ash: Yeah! They're my good friends! [looks at Juleka] And this is my girlfriend, Juleka!
Juleka: [smiles] [waves]
Ash: And these are our friends, Kim and Max!
Kim: Hiya! [looks at what the panther is eating] Whoa! Look at the size of that piece of meat it's eating!
Max: Typical diet for a feline species requiring the strength to run at speeds in excess of 60 miles per hour.
Ash: Wow! That sounds fast!
Pikachu: [impressed] PIKA!
Lucario: [impressed] RAH!
Juleka: Cool.
Kim: 60 miles per hour? Is that all? I thought panthers were much faster than that. I bet that I could beat it in a race.
Otis: Impossible. No human being could compete with my panther.
Ash: He as a point, Kim!
Kim: Is that so? What place did your cat come in at the County Athletics Tournament? I came in first place.
Otis: You can't possibly compare yourself to my panther, kiddo!
Kim: No need to. I'm obviously [strokes his hair] the better looking one.
Ash: Now, Kim! Don't go being arrogant! Arrogance can only lead to trouble!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
And he was right! The panther growled from the insult!
Kim: Relax! It's behind a glass wall and I'm way out here! [to the panther] Hey, kitty, kitty. How about a little race with me, huh? Last one's a rotten egg!
Max: Let's see. [types on his phone] With a 6 feet-per-second win behind you and 45 degrees to the north-east... I don't think you'd be a rotten egg. You'd be lunch.
Ash: [gulps nervously] Come on, Kim! Don't antagonize it or you might end up on the panther's menu!
Otis: Your friend's right, kiddo. Now please leave. She needs peace and quiet while she eats. You're stressing her out.
Ash: Wait! It's a girl?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Otis: Indeed it is!
Ash: Huh. I didn't know that!
Juleka: Me neither.
Kim: Awww, stressed out, are we, Miss Panthie? You're talking about a wild animal, dude.
That was the final straw, as the panther roared angrily!
Juleka: [gasps] Whoa…
Ash: Kim, stop it! You're making it angry!
Otis: He's right! Leave now! Or I'll have you kicked out of the zoo immediately!
Kim: Come on, Max. Let's leave that poor widdle kitty alone with its angwy babysitter! [leaves with Max] Ha ha ha!
Lucario: [facepalms and shakes its head] MRAH RAH RAH...
Ash: Hold on! [goes up to the cage] [to Otis] Let me in there! Let me see if I can calm it down!
Otis: How are you gonna do that?
Ash: By taming it!
Pikachu: [scared] PIKACHU!
Juleka: [worried] Babe...
Ash: Don't worry, Jules! I've dealt with worse situations before! I'll need you to watch Pikachu, though!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Ash: It's too dangerous, buddy! You stay with Juleka until I come out!
Pikachu: [nods reluctantly] PIKA.
Juleka: [takes Pikachu] Just be careful, babe.
Lucario: [concerned] MRAH RAH.
Ash: Don't worry! Just leave it to me!
Ash went over to the exhibit and Otis was reluctant on letting him in!
Ash: Trust me! I got this!
Otis: Alright.
Then, he opened the door and Ash went in!
Panther: [growls]
Ash: [makes his way over to the panther] Easy there, fella! I'm not gonna hurt ya! I just wanna be your friend! You can trust me!
Then, he placed his hand onto the panther's forehead, then the panther felt a surge of aura rush through it, making the panther more calm and less aggressive! Then, the panther pounced onto Ash and began to lick his face affectionately!
Ash: Whoa! [laughs] Hey! Cut it out! That tickles!
Otis and Juleka were surprised by this!
Ash: [laughs] That's a rough tongue you got there! [continues to laugh]
Otis: Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle! [as the panther stopped licking and started nuzzling up against Ash as he petted it on the head, making it purr] That kid has got skills!
Juleka: [smiles] [sighs romantically]
Pikachu: [smiles] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [smiles] MRAH RAH!
Ash: [gives a thumbs up] All's good! She's much calmer now!
Then, the panther curled up and laid its upper half on Ash's lap!
Ash: Uh oh. Though I think your panther has become emotionally attached to me! Come on now! I know you like me, but could you let me go?
Believe it or not, the panther obeyed Ash's command and sat up!
Ash: [scratches her ear, making her purr] Atta girl! If Otis lets me, I'll see you again sometime! Sound good?
Panther: [licks his cheek]
Ash: Down, girl! [hugs the panther] I love you too!
Ash came out of the exhibit, and Otis was impressed!
Otis: Wow! That was incredible! You tamed the panther with no problems! You're amazing!
Ash: Well, I learned a few things during my travels in my home world! It just comes naturally!
Otis: I can tell! Say, how'd you like a job working at zoo for me? You'll be our chief animal tamer!
Ash: [gasps in awe] [eyes sparkle] Chief animal tamer?!

Then, the akuma flew off into the city!

With Otis, he was looking at his panther and upset about the comment Kim made earlier! But then, trouble came as the Akuma came in and flew into his necklace which resembled an animal fang!

Otis: Yes, Hawk Moth.
Then, he began to transform!
And in his place was a panther!
Animan: [growls]
Meanwhile, with Kim and Max, Kim seemed to be harassing a gorilla, just as Animan arrived with his army of zoo animals!
Animan: [as a panther] Hey, kiddo. Still up for a little race? Go ahead, I'll give you a head start.
That made Kim and Max scared! Then, the two of them ran away!
Animan: [to the panther] He's mine!
Animan took after Kim and Max! With Ash and Juleka, they were looking at the crocodiles!
Crocodile: [roars]
Juleka: Cool.
Ash: I know! [to Pikachu] Make sure you keep a distance, Pikachu!
Pikachu: [complying] PIKA!
Ash: [to Juleka] You know, Jules? These crocodiles remind me of two Pokémon I have back home!
Juleka: Really?
Ash: Yep! [pulls out his Rotom Phone] Look!
Rotom Phone: Totodile, the Big Jaw Pokémon. A Water-type. Its powerful, well-developed jaws are capable of crushing anything. Even its Trainer must be careful. [changes to Krookodile] Krookodile, the Intimidation Pokémon. A Ground and Dark-type. They never allow prey to escape. Their jaws are so powerful, they can crush the body of an automobile.
Juleka: Awesome.
Ash: I know!
Then...
Rotom Phone: [alarm sounding] Akuma Alert! Akuma Alert!
Ash: [gasps] An akuma alert! Rotom, identify!
Rotom Phone: Animan! Capable of turning into any animal in existence! Real name: Otis Césaire!
Ash: Otis! Oh no! Hawk Moth must've made him his next victim of the akuma! And I have a hunch as to whose fault it was! Kim! I knew he shouldn't've antagonized! He's capable of turning into animals! Well, [pulls out a super leaf] I'll have to counter that! When going to fight an animal man, you gotta think like an animal! Time to power up!
[raccoon power up sounds]
Then, Ash transformed and gained raccoon ears and a tail!
Raccoon Ash: Now, to find Animan and-
Kim and Max: [running from Animan and the animals] [screaming]
Raccoon Ash: Never mind! I already found him! [lifts up Juleka bridal style and flies up into a nearby tree with thick branches] Jules, you stay here and try to stay hidden! I'll take care of the shape-shifting beast! And sorry if this is uncomfortable for you!
Juleka: It's fine. I honestly wondered what it would be like to sit in a tree.
Raccoon Ash: Really? Well, if you're okay with it, then so am I!
Juleka: Okay, babe. Now, go get 'im, my raccoon man. [kisses him on the lips]
Ash: [giggles] You got it! [turns to Pikachu and Lucario determinedly] Let's do this, you guys!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKA!
Lucario: [determined] MRAH!
Ash took flight with Pikachu on his shoulder while Lucario ran!
["Who's That Pokémon?" time]
[as a magnifying glass shows a long purple tail with Pikachu standing near it with a PokéBall]
Ash (voiceover): Who's that Pokémon?
[Pokémon reveals to be Liepard]

Alya: [from the earpiece] This whole date thing with Nino is not happening! Ugh!

Then, Animan came into view!

He ran past Marinette and Nino with his animal army following behind!
Nino: We better ditch this place! [runs away from them]
Raccoon Ash: [flying after Animan] Come back here!

Lucario: [running] MRAH RAH!
Marinette: It's Ash!

Marinette: He's in trouble!
Marinette ran and hid behind the bushes! Adrien, who also saw Animan and the zoo animals, did the same!
Tikki: Why didn't you listen to Alya, Marinette?
Marinette: I couldn't help it! I didn't want Nino to be sad.
Popplio: POP!
Tikki: We'll deal with that later. Now it's time to transform!
Marinette: [smiles and nods] Hm.
[Transformation Sequence]
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! Ha!
Then, Marinette became Ladybug!
Popplio: [eyes sparkle with amazement] POPPLIO!
Ladybug: Sorry, Popplio! [hugs her baby girl] Momma's gotta go to work! So, [pulls out her PokéBall] Popplio, [returns her] return!
Adrien: We've gotta do something.
Plagg just sighed while he sat on Adrien's head, knowing what he had to do!
Litten: [rolls his eyes] LITTEN.
[Transformation Sequence]

Then, Adrien transformed into Cat Noir!
Litten: [eyes sparkle with amazement] LITTEN!
Cat Noir: Alright, Litten! Gotta go to work! [takes out Litten's PokéBall] Litten, [returns Litten] return!
Kim was running away from Animan, but he was able to outrun him and reached him.
Animan: You lost, kiddo. What do you think of panthers now?
Kim: That... panthers are the best?
Ladybug: And what do you think about ladybugs?
Cat Noir: And another black cat?
Raccoon Ash: And raccoons?
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking wildly] [threatening] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [battle stance] MRAH RAH!
Animan: I think I'm higher on the food chain.
Hawk Moth: Animan, take their jewels! Their Miraculouses! Bring them to me! And bring me the boy and his creatures!
Ladybug: [to Kim] If you value your life, get out of here! Now!
Raccoon Ash: Run, Kim! Run!
Kim ran away with Animan about to chase after him, but Ladybug stopped him by tying him up in her yo-yo!
Raccoon Ash: Going somewhere, Beast Boy?
Ladybug: Cat Noir, his bracelet. The akuma must be inside the charm!
Cat Noir: You hold him, I grab the bracelet.
Raccoon Ash: I'll help too!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Animan: [to the other animals] Attack!
Then, the animals started charging in!
Raccoon Ash: Uh oh! This can't be good!
Pikachu: [nervous] PIKA...
Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Lucario made a run for it, with Ash flying and Pikachu on his back!
Cat Noir: We need to put them all back in their cages!
Ladybug: Oh, really? I'm sure they'll do it without putting up a fight!
Lucario: [about to launch an Aura Sphere] MRAH...
Ladybug: Lucario, don't!
Lucario: MRAH?
Raccoon Ash: We don't wanna hurt the animals! They don't know what's going on!
Cat Noir: You got any ideas as to calm them down?!
That's when they saw Alya and Nino running from a gorilla as Ladybug and Cat Noir jumped over them!
Raccoon Ash: I may have one idea in mind! And it involves me taming the animals! First, the gorilla! Ladybug, get Alya and Nino to safety! I'll handle the ape! Cat Noir, you handle the rest of the animals!
Ladybug: Great idea, Ash! We'd better split up!
Raccoon Ash: Let's do it!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKACHU!
Then, they went their separate ways! Ladybug grabbed Nino and Alya by the back of their clothing!
Nino: Hey!
Alya: Hey!
Nino: What the...?
Ladybug: [takes Nino and Alya to the empty gorilla habitat and locks the cage] Stay here and you'll be safe. [leaves]
Nino: [looks at Alya] Uhh... Hey, what's up?
Alya: [groans disgustedly]
With Ash, he was facing the gorilla!
Raccoon Ash: Alright, big guy! It's time to tame the ape!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking] PIKA...
Gorilla: [grunts] [beats its chest]
Raccoon Ash: [does some kung-fu poses, then does the "come at me" gesture with his hand]
Gorilla: [grunts] [swings its fist]
But Raccoon Ash dodged and when he saw an opening, he touched the gorilla's forehead with the palm of his hand and a wave of aura was sent through it making less hostile and aggressive!
Raccoon Ash: Easy, big guy! Everything's gonna be okay!
That was when the gorilla gave Ash a hug!
Gorilla: [grunts playfully]
Raccoon Ash: Okay, big guy! Calm down! [as the gorilla released its grip] Now, whaddya say we go help your zookeeper together, [holds out his hand for a handshake] partner?
The gorilla shook his hand!
Raccoon Ash: Alrighty then! But we're gonna need help from some other animals! Let's go!
But then, the gorilla pulled Ash onto its back, indicating that it wants him to ride on him!
Raccoon Ash: Huh? You want me to ride you?
Gorilla: [grunts affirmatively]
Raccoon Ash: [smiles] Awesome! [takes out two PokéBalls] Infernape, Sirfetch'd, [tosses the two PokéBalls] I choose you!
Infernape: [appearing] INFERNAPE!
Sirfetch'd: [appearing] SIRFETCH'D!
Raccoon Ash: Infernape, go and find Ladybug! Sirfetch'd, you go and find Cat Noir! Meanwhile, my gorilla friend and I will find some more animal allies!
Infernape: [complies] INFERNAPE!
Sirfetch'd: [complies] FETCH'D!
And the two Fighting-types ran off!
Raccoon Ash: [to the gorilla] Alright, big guy! Let's find some more animal allies!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Lucario: MRAH!
Gorilla: [grunts affirmative and leaps into action]
Meanwhile, Cat Noir ran away from the animals and went up a tree, where a giraffe tried to bite him!
Ladybug: There are too many of them! We can't capture them all.
Cat Noir: Well, what are we gonna do then?
Ladybug and Cat Noir leapt onto the roof!
Ladybug: Back to Plan A. If we can destroy his bracelet, I can capture the akuma. Everything will go back to normal!
Cat Noir: Sounds like a good idea!
Then, in came Ash, riding on his new gorilla friend!
Raccoon Ash: That giraffe might work! [flies up to the giraffe]
Then, he placed his hand on the giraffe's forehead! Then, a wave of aura was sent through the giraffe making it less aggressive and hostile!
Raccoon Ash: That's it! Nice and easy!
Then, the giraffe licked Ash with its long tongue!
Raccoon Ash: [giggles] Okay okay! I know! Now, wanna help me and the gorilla save your zookeeper?
The giraffe nodded in response! Ladybug and Cat Noir were surprised at what they were seeing!
Cat Noir: Whoa! How did he do that?
Ladybug: I have no idea!
Cat Noir: He just tamed the giraffe just by placing his hand on its forehead!
Ladybug: I don't understand!
Raccoon Ash: [as the giraffe lifts him up] That's how I tame the mighty animals! Now, we'll have some animal allies to help us save their zookeeper!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Ladybug: I don't know how you did it, Ash, but you're a genius!
Raccoon Ash: [as the gorilla came up] Aren't I always?
Gorilla: [grunts]
Ladybug: Well... [shakes her head] Don't change the subject! We can't let the animals escape!
Raccoon Ash: I know! But I don't think I can tame all of these animals in one go!
Just when he said that, the animals were running away from the zoo! When our heroes got back down on the ground, Ladybug saw that Animan had escaped from her yo-yo!
Ladybug: But... it's never been broken before!
Cat Noir: He didn't actually break it. [squats down and he gives the yo-yo back to Ladybug]
Ladybug: Then how did he get away?
Raccoon Ash: Me thinks our Animan has shape-shifted into another animal much smaller in order to escape!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ladybug: Really?
Raccoon Ash: Yeah!
Panther: [roars]
Raccoon Ash: Hey look! That's the panther I became friends with!
Pikachu: [gasps] PIKA!
Panther: [growls]
Cat Noir: You call that "friendly"?!
Raccoon Ash: Well, it's not friendly now because of Animan! But she won't harm me! [to the panther] [holds his hand out] It's okay, girl! It's me! I'm your friend!
Panther: [growls]
Raccoon Ash: It's okay! It's me!
Then, the panther lunged at Ash!
Ladybug: [horrified] ASH!
Pikachu: [horrified] PIKA PI!
But then, Ash dodged and placed his hand on the panther's forehead! And a a wave of aura was sent through the panther! After that, the panther recognized Ash and tackled him to the ground and started licking him on his face!
Raccoon Ash: [laughing] See? That's it! Come on, that tickles!
Panther: [purrs in affection]
The two supers just stared at the two with surprised looks on their faces! But they were relieved that Ash didn't get hurt!
Pikachu: [relieved] PIKACHU...
Cat Noir: Well, that happened!
Ladybug: I don't believe this!
Raccoon Ash: [coming over to the heroes with the panther] You see? All I had to do was remind it of who I am! [pets the panther] This kitty cat wouldn't hurt a friend!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Lucario: MRAH RAH!
Ladybug: So I see!
Cat Noir: It's definitely taken a liking towards you, but we better find Kim... I mean, that boy, before he does.
Raccoon Ash: And fast!
Then, the panther flipped Ash onto her back, indicating that it wants him to ride on her!
Raccoon Ash: Whoa! You want me to ride you?
Panther: [nods affirmatively]
Raccoon Ash: [smiles] Awesome!
Cat Noir: [pouts] Lucky!
Raccoon Ash: [to the panther, Pikachu, Lucario, Sirfetch'd, Infernape, the gorilla, and the giraffe] Everyone, let's do this!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [determined] MRAH RAH!
Sirfetch'd: [determined] FETCH'D!
Gorilla: [beats its chest] [grunts determinedly]
Panther: [roars determinedly]
Giraffe: [neighs determinedly]
Raccoon Ash: Alright!
Ladybug extended her yo-yo while Cat Noir spun his staff as they left the zoo!
Raccoon Ash: Let's go, girl!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Then, the panther took off with Ash riding on her back and the rest of the animals and Pokémon following him! Eventually, Ladybug and Cat Noir landed on a rooftop! And Ash, the panther and the gorilla came up with them! So did the Pokémon!
Cat Noir: Huh?! How did you get up here?!
Raccoon Ash: Turns out she's very agile! [hops off of her] [scratches her chin] Good kitty!
Panther: [purrs in affection]
Raccoon Ash: [pulls out a pair of binoculars and scans the area] [sees something off-screen] Uh, Ladybug! Cat Noir! I tawt I taw a putty tat!
Ladybug: Huh?
Cat Noir: I believe you did, buddy! Me and your panther friend!
Raccoon Ash: No! I tawt I taw a bad putty tat with purple eyes! [points] Look!
Ladybug and Cat Noir looked and saw Animan approaching Kim!
Cat Noir: Nice job, buddy! Ya found him!
Raccoon Ash: Yeah! And he's gonna eat Kim!
Lucario: [sprints into action] MRAH!
Raccoon Ash: Hey, Lucario! Wait for us!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: Come on!
Animan: It's down to just the two of us, Kiddo. [as Kim falls] And then there was one.
Then...
Lucario: [Force Palm move] MRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
Animan: [hit] [roars in pain] GUH!
That made Animan land away from Kim! Then, Lucario came in-between Kim and Animan!
Kim: Lucario?!
Ladybug: You're not getting away this time!
Raccoon Ash: That's right! And a have some friends [as the panther, gorilla and giraffe appeared] to help make sure you stay put!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking wildly] PIKACHU!
Animan: What?!
Raccoon Ash: Say hello to my animal friends!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKACHU!
Animan: What?! You traitors!
Panther: [roars]
Raccoon Ash: Now to put you down and take your akuma! Alright, guys! Get 'im!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking wildly] PIKACHU!
Then, the animals started charging in!
Gorilla: [grunts] [swings his fist]
But Animan dodged!
Giraffe: [attempts to stomp Animan]
But he dodged that too!
Cat Noir: [to Kim] Quick, go and hide in the first building you come to. [places a tracker on Kim's back before he runs off]
Animan: You'll never get me!
Raccoon Ash: [has a lasso and twirlling it] That's what you think! [tosses the lasso] Yeehaw!
That managed to tie around Animan's waist!
Raccoon Ash: Gotcha!
Ladybug: Wait a minute, where'd you even get a lasso from?
Raccoon Ash: I used the rope I had in my backpack and made it in a lasso!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ladybug: Huh. Nifty!
Animan: [growls] [transforms into a bear]
Ladybug: [gasps] Ash, LOOK OUT!
Raccoon Ash: Huh?
Animan: [slashes his back]
Raccoon Ash: GAH!
[powers down sound]
Ladybug: Ash! Are you okay?
Ash: [groans] I'm okay! But I lost my raccoon power!
Animan: [charges] You're done for now, kiddo!
Ash: Lucario, Force Palm!
Lucario: [Force Palm move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
Animan: [growls in pain]
Ladybug and the giraffe helped Ash up!
Ladybug: Easy, Ash! We gotcha!
Ash: Thanks, Ladybug!
Animan: This isn't over! [transforms into an eagle] [caws] [flies away]
Ash: Rats! He got away! But at least Kim's safe! For now! [as fatigue came over him] GUH! [kneels down from the pain] [groans]
Ladybug: Ash! [looks at his back] Oh, your back is really messed up! Those slash marks look nasty!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKA PIKACHU!
Ash: [weak] I'm fine, really. Nothing I can't handle. We've gotta stop Animan.
Ladybug: Absolutely not! Not while you're in this condition! You need to be treated! [to Pikachu] Pikachu, does Ash have a first aid kit in his backpack?
Pikachu: [nods] PIKA PIKA! [searches through his backpack] PIKACHU!
Then, Pikachu found the first aid kit!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: Great! Now, I'll need your help to treat Ash's wound!
Pikachu: [complying] PIKA! [opens the kit]
Ladybug: Right! Antibacterial wipes!
Pikachu: [passes her antibacterial wipes] PI!
Ladybug: Thank you! [wipes Ash's back]
Ash: [winces from the sting]
Ladybug: Ointment!
Pikachu: [passes her the ointment] CHU!
Cat Noir: Almost done!
Ladybug: [applies the ointment] Now, ace bandage!
Pikachu: [passes her the ace bandage] PIKACHU!
Ladybug: [takes the ace bandage] Thank you! Help me out, Cat Noir! You take the front, I'll take the back!
Cat Noir: With pleasure, milady!
Then, they wrapped Ash in the ace bandage until the slash marks on his back was covered!
Ladybug: There! All better!
Ash: Wow! Thanks, Ladybug! Cat Noir! My back feels better already! And thank you too, Pikachu!
Pikachu: [jumps onto his shoulder] [nuzzles against his cheek] PIKA PIKA PI!
Ash: [giggles]
His Pokémon and the animals came over to him!
Ash: Don't worry, you guys! I'm okay! But for now, we gotta stop Animan! [digs around in his backpack] And I think I may have an idea! And I'm gonna get buggy with it!
[Transformation sequence]
Ash: [pulls out the Insect Plate] Insect Plate, [places it on his chest] activate!
Then, his clothes gained a lime green color scheme and a few insect decals, and a beetle symbol appeared on his cap! After the transformation was complete, he posed as if he was activating the Bug-type Z-Move!
Cat Noir: Get "buggy" with it! I get it now!
Ladybug: Not bad! Think I'll call you "Bug Boy" from now on!
Ash: I wouldn't go that far!
To test out his new powers, he shot a string of web near a lamppost!
Ash: Nice! Spider powers!
Pikachu: [awed] PIKA PIKA...
Cat Noir: Nice!
Using beetle strength, he was able to lift the gorilla!
Gorilla: [surprised grunts]
Ash: Wow! And beetle strength! Cool!
Ladybug: Incredible! First, we need to find Kim. Where is he?
Cat Noir showed his staff phone detecting Kim's location!
Ash: Wow!
Ladybug: Good job, kitty. [scratches Cat Noir's chin]
Ash: Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's go!

Then, Ash suddenly sprouted butterfly wings and he took flight!
Cat Noir: [gawks] Butterfly wings?!

Our heroes, the Pokémon, and the animals took off! At the Dupain-Cheng Bakery, Tom and Sabine were working, along with Machamp and Florges!
Machamp: [kneading four piles of dough with its four arms] MA...CHAMP! MACHAMP!

Outside, Ladybug and Cat Noir landed on Marinette's balcony to her room!
Ash: [to the panther, gorilla and giraffe] You guys stay down here until we come out! Okay?
Panther: [growls in complying]
Gorilla: [grunts and nods]
Giraffe: [nods]
Ash and the Pokémon leapt, climbed, or flew onto the balcony!
Cat Noir: [checks his staff phone] He's safe inside this building. Panthers can't open doors, so it won't get inside.
Ladybug: Panthers can't, but what if he morphs into a smaller animal? Like a mouse, or...
Ash: Or a ladybug! [Woody Woodpecker chuckles]
Cat Noir: Right. But we do have an advantage over him. We know exactly where to find his prey.
Ladybug: Animan will sniff him out sooner or later, but it's bought us a bit of time to plan our next move.
Ash: I say we set up a trap! Set up some bait and we can trap him in something that can hold someone like him!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: Good thinking, Bug Boy! But what can we use?
Ash: [thinking] Hmm...
A man was seen fixing his car, but then he saw a bear scratching his back on it, making him run away in fear!
Lucario: [sweat drops] MRAH RAH...
Cat Noir: We have to stop Animan before Paris turns into a Jungle.
Ladybug: Follow me.
Ash: Right behind ya!
Then, they leapt down and entered the bakery!
Ash: Hello!
Pikachu: [greeting] PIKACHU!
Sabine: Ash! What's going on? Your friend just came in here out of breath as if he was running from something!
Ash: He is! There's an akumatized villain named Animan out to get him and make him his lunch!
Kim: [gulps] It's true!
Ash: But don't worry! [gestures to him, Ladybug and Cat Noir] We're not gonna let that happen!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ladybug: Hi, mo...am.
Sabine: Oh, you're... you're, you're Ladybug!
Ladybug: Yeah, exactly.
Ash: [in his head] Nice save, Ladybug!
Kim: [sees the panther outside] AAH! HE'S HERE!
Tom: [gasps]
Sabine: Oh my!
Florges: [scared] FLOR!
Machamp: [battle stance] CHAMP!
Ash: Don't worry! That's just a regular panther! My friend! She won't hurt you!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Kim: Huh?
Tom: Your friend?
Ash: Long story!
Soon enough, the TVi Newsflash was on the air and informing the Parisians about the current crisis.
Nadja: We interrupt this broadcast with a special report. Animals are invading Paris. The police work harder trying to contain the situation. For your safety, stay in your home and remain calm. Mayor Bourgeois will address the-
Sabine turned off the TV, who was now with our heroes in the living room.
Ladybug: You'll be safe here. [points at his wristband] Can I borrow this?
Kim: Sure. [gives her his wristband]
Ash: What're ya gonna do with that?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Ladybug: Just like you said! Lure Animan with some bait!
Ash: Oh right! I was thinking of using food to lure him in, but that works too!
Cat Noir was currently looking at a family photo of Marinette and her parents!
Ash: Come on, Cat Noir! Let's go!
Ladybug: [to Tom and Sabine] Make sure you lock all the doors and windows.
Cat Noir: We'll take care of the rest. You won't be in danger.
Ladybug: Thanks Da- I mean, sir, for all your help.
Tom: You're welcome, Ladybug.
Ash: Come on! Let's trap us an Animan!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKA PI!
Lucario: [determined] MRAH RAH!
Infernape: [determined] FERNAPE!
Sirfetch'd: [determined] FETCH'D!
Ladybug, Cat Noir, Ash, and the Pokémon went downstairs. Ladybug then put Kim's wristband on the railing
Ladybug: Et voila.
Ash: That's where you were gonna put it? I thought you were going put it in something bigger!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA?
Ladybug: Trust me, Ash! This is gonna be just the right size for when Animan comes!
Lucario: [nods in agreement] RAH MRAH!
Ash: Alright! If you're sure!
Meanwhile, the animals were rampaging throughout the city!
Ash: This isn't looking too good! But at least three of them aren't attacking!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Then, Ladybug sprayed him, Cat Noir and the Pokémon with air freshener!
Ash: Hey!
Cat Noir: Whoa! What's that stuff?
Ladybug: Air freshener! It'll cover up our scent so he can't smell us.
Ash: Oh! That makes sense!
Cat Noir: Thanks. I've always wanted to smell like... [sniffs himself] Ocean summer breeze?
Ash: I prefer either vanilla or cinnamon roll, but I like ocean summer breeze!
Pikachu: PIKA PI!
Ash: But enough talk! Let's go huntin' for an Animan!
Ladybug: Agreed! But first, we need something to capture him in!
Cat Noir saw a small box on the counter and picked it up!
Cat Noir: Couldn't we capture him inside something like this?
Ladybug: Only if he transforms into something bigger.
Ash: Oh! I know! [digs around in his backpack] Let see! Where did I put 'em! [finds what he's looking for] Aha! [pulls out a smallish sack] Here it is!
Cat Noir: A sack?
Ash: It's in the sack! Well, multiple "it's"! [pulls out a strange PokéBall] Ta-dah! May I introduce the new way to contain villains! The newest PokéBall created! The Villain Ball!
Cat Noir: Uh, Villain Ball?
Ash: A special PokéBall made specifically to capture super villains!
Ladybug: Where did you get these?
Ash: I actually had a little help from Arceus! He used his powers to create these special PokéBalls for me! We discussed it beforehand about it and we made it official!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Ladybug: Huh. Nifty! I wonder if we could use these on Hawk Moth if we ever find him!
Cat Noir: [grins] Imagine how fun that'll be!
Ash: It's possible! Not only would we catch him, but we'll get his Miraculous too!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [intrigued] MRAH RAH!
Ladybug: That'll be super!
Cat Noir: Got that right! You are one smart cookie, buddy!
Ash: What can I say? I'm clever and full of surprises!
Ladybug: You sure are! But there still might be a chance of him morphing into something larger and escaping.
Ash: Oh right! That's true! But that's where a backup plan comes in! And if he were to morph into something larger, we can trap him in something bigger!
Ladybug: [sees a bus outside] Would that make a big enough cage?
Ash: Perfect!
Cat Noir: Definitely. But how could we get him inside there?
Ash: Hmm...
But then, Cat Noir's cat ears twitched, thanks to his sensitive hearing!
Lucario: [senses Animan nearby with his aura] [gasps] MRAH!
Cat Noir: He's coming.
Ash: Right on cue! Stay hidden, you guys!
And they did just that! Animan, in his eagle form, was flying and searching for Kim. But then, he sensed the smell and flew directly to the Bakery while Ladybug, Cat Noir, Ash, and the Pokémon hid behind the door.
Ladybug: It's working. He's sniffing out Kim!
However, Cat Noir began to sniff Ladybug!
Ash: [whispers] Cat Noir! Cut that out!
Ladybug was unamused at this while Cat Noir giggled!
Lucario: [sighs] MRAH.
Ladybug: Follow me.
Ash: Right behind ya!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Then, Animan went directly to the bakery, and turns into a "Ladybug" to enter the keyhole. When he found Kim's wristband...
Ash (off-screen): [as a Villain Ball was tossed] Villain Ball, go!
The Villain Ball but Animan and he got sucked into it and the ball started shaking and blinking!
Ash: I got him!
Ladybug: A Ladybug? Smart choice.
Ash: I knew he'd transform into that!
Cat Noir: But uh, the ball's still shaking!
Ash: I guess that means he's quite a fighter!
However, Animan was able to transform into a panther and break free!
Ash: Uh oh!
Animan: Thought you could trap me that easily, huh?
Ash: We just wanna help you! I know you're still upset about Kim teasing the animals, but trying to kill him isn't the answer! You don't know what you're doing, Otis! Listen to your heart and you'll find the truth! I can help you!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Hawk Moth: [from his lair] Don't listen to him, Animan! Bring the boy to me and seize the Miraculous!
Animan gave chase to our heroes as they ran out of the bakery!
Cat Noir: Couldn't he choose a slower-moving animal?!
Ash: Yeah! Like a snail or a tortoise?!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Then, Animan pounced onto Ash!
Ash: GAH!
Ladybug: Ash, no!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKA PI!
Lucario: [about to launch an Aura Sphere] MRRRRRRRR...
Animan: That's far enough! Make one more move and I'll take it out on his flesh and bones!
Hawk Moth: [from his lair] No, Animan! Keep him alive! I want you to bring him to me!
But then, another panther came to his rescue!
Animan: [hit] UGH!
Ash: [gasps]
Panther: [growls defensively]
Animan: What are you doing?!
Ash: She's protecting me because she's my friend!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ash: [pets the panther on the head] Thanks, girl!
Pikachu: [thanking] PIKA PIKACHU!
Panther: [nods] [nudges Ash to go to Ladybug and Cat Noir] [gets in front of Ash to face Animan] [growls]
Ash: [nods] Hm!
Animan: [to the panther] You're making a big mistake!
Panther: [growls]
Animan: So be it! [pounces]
Panther: [pounces] [roars]
Ash: Be careful!
Then, they started to clash!
Ash: Oh, I hope she can do it!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKACHU!
Ladybug: Me too!
Panther: [swings her paw] [roars]
Animan: [growls in pain]
Ash: Time to give her a hand! Sirfetch'd, Brutal Swing!
Sirfetch'd: [Brutal Swing move] SIR...FETCH'D!
Sirfetch'd tossed its shield at Animan, but he ducked his head!
Animan: Bad Luck! You missed!
But he was wrong, the shield boomeranged back and hit Animan in the back of the head!
Animan: [roars in pain]
Ash: [as Sirfetch'd catches its shield] You were saying?
Animan: [charges towards him] You've made a big mistake! [roars]
Ash: Run!
Ladybug, Cat Noir, Ash, and the Pokémon ran into the bus and hid on opposite sides! Animan was looking for them, but then they nodded at each other and jumped out, surprising him!
Ash: Gotcha this time!
Animan: [roars]
Ash: [launches spider webs] String Shot!
That wrapped his paws up!
Animan: [growls]
Ash: Infernape, Mach Punch!
Infernape: [Mach Punch move] IN... FERNAPE!
Animan: [hit] [roars in pain]
Ash: Give up, Animan! Surrender your akuma now!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking wildly] [threateningly] PIKACHU!
Animan: Never!
Ash: Pikachu, Quick Attack!
Pikachu: [Quick Attack move] PIKACHU! PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA!
Animan: [growls in pain]
Ash: Now use Iron Tail!
Pikachu: [Iron Tail move] CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...PIKA!
Animan: [hit square on the head] [roars in pain]
Ash: Nice one!
Pikachu: [smiles proudly] PIKACHU!
Animan: [growls angrily] [pounces] [roars]
Ash: Look out!
Pikachu: [scared] PIKA!
Luckily, Ladybug saved Pikachu just in time!
Ladybug: [swings her yo-yo at Animan] HA!
Animan: [hit across the face] [growls in pain]
Ladybug: Sorry, Animan! But Pikachu is not on the menu! So keep your filthy paws off!
Pikachu: [smiles] [thanking Ladybug] PIKA PI! PIKACHU!
Ladybug: You're welcome, [snuggles Pikachu] Li'l Pika!
Pikachu: [happy] PIKA PIKACHU!
Ladybug: [giggles]
Ash: Sirfetch'd, use Night Slash!
Sirfetch'd: [Night Slash move] SIR...FETCH'D!
Animan: [hit square on the head] [roars in pain]
Ladybug: Where's the button for the doors?
Ash: [points to the front] Over there!
Ladybug: Thanks! [presses all the buttons to no avail] Of course nothing works! No keys!
Ash: [groans] [complains] Come on!
Animan then morphed into a bear!
Animan: [roars]
Cat Noir attempted to defend himself with his staff, but Animan knocked it away and knocked Cat Noir down, with Animan on top of him!
Ash: Cat Noir!
Hawk Moth: [through a light mask] Take his Miraculous... The ring! The ring!
Ash: [gets in front of Cat Noir] You want his ring?! You're gonna have to go through me first!
Cat Noir: Ash! Move out of the way!
Ash: I've got this! [launches spider webs] String Shot!
That went over Animan's muzzle, much to his shock!
Animan: [muffled roars]
Ash: That'll hold ya!
Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around Animan and gave Cat Noir his staff back!
Ash: That's showing 'im!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
However, Animan morphed into a Ladybug!
Ash: Hey! Why you little pest!
Cat Noir threw his staff, but Animan dodged and the staff hit the window and bounced right back at Cat Noir, who then caught it! Animan once again morphed into a panther, but he seemed to be very tired!
Ash: [gasps] He's exhausted!
Pikachu: PIKA?
Lucario: MRAH?
Ladybug: All these transformations seem to be tiring him out.
Ash: That makes sense! Him transforming constantly is making him super exhausted!
Cat Noir: Then just let him wear himself out. It'll make it easier to capture his akuma.
Ash: Easier said than done! He probably won't stop until he gets your Miraculous!
Cat Noir: I've got an idea! [activates his power] Cataclysm!
Then, his hand glowed a black bubbly energy! He used his Cataclysm on the bus's panel to make all the buttons work!
Ash: Good work, Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: Thanks, buddy! [gestures his thumb to Infernape] How about adding some heat for extra oomph?
Infernape: [complies] NAPE! [Flamethrower move] IN...FERNAPE!
That charred the panel, making all the buttons work at a much faster pace!
Ash: Whoa! Come on, you two! Let's scat while we have the chance!
The second the doors opened, our heroes and the Pokémon jumped out, while Animan was trapped inside!
Ash: And to make sure he stays trapped in there, [to Pikachu] Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!
Pikachu: [Thunderbolt move] PIKACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
That short circuited the bus until it powered down!
Ash: We got 'im!
Pikachu: PIKA PI!
Ash: There's no way he'll get outta there!
Ladybug: It's not exactly a cage, but... it'll do.
Ash: Yep! So... Now what?
Animan then morphed into a bear!
Cat Noir: I don't think he can "bear" to listen to that noise.
Ladybug: You around is too much to "bear".
Ash: Don't worry, Cat Noir! She's just "kitten" around! [giggles]
Ladybug: Don't you start!
Ash: Sorry!
Ladybug: Now we wait.
Ash: For how long?
Ladybug: However long he can last in there!
Animan morphed into a ladybug, then into a gorilla and tried to break the door open, but to no avail.
Cat Noir: Ready to free the akuma?
Ash: Almost!
The panther, gorilla, and giraffe then came over to our heroes!
Ash: Oh, hey guys!
Pikachu: [greeting] PIKACHU!
Ash: You all came to check on me, huh?
Gorilla: [nods]
Ash: Thanks, you guys! I'm fine! But for now, you guys better gather up the rest of your animal friends and head back to the zoo! There's no telling what Animan will do next!
Animan morphed into a panther once again, but he became extremely exhausted and collapsed!
Ladybug: It's working!
Ash: Let's move in and grab the akuma!
However, Animan morphed into something much bigger and scalier, as the bus began to shake!
Ash: Uh... That's not supposed to happen, right?
Ladybug and Cat Noir: [gasp]
Then, a pair of jaws broke through the roof of the bus!
Animan: [growls]
Ash: [gasps in shock with pupilless eyes] [turns white as a ghost]
Pikachu: [turns white as a ghost] PIKA...
Lucario: [gets into a battle stance] [growls] MRAH...
Sirfetch'd: [gets into a battle stance] SIR...
Infernape: [gets into a battle stance] FERNA...
Animan had morphed into a dinosaur and destroyed the bus!
Animan: [roars]
Ash: [standing there, frozen in fear, with legs shaking]
Pikachu: [scared] PIKACHU...
Cat Noir: Hey! Since when do extinct animals count?
Ladybug: The T-Rex might have disappeared a long time ago, but technically it's.. still an animal.
Animan roared and hopped down, making the three heroes back away slowly!
Ash: [terrified] As if nearly being eaten by an Aerodactyl wasn't enough! Now, we're about to be eaten by this world's version of an extinct animal!
Pikachu: [terrified] PIKACHU!
Cat Noir: Well, I know some other animals that will soon be extinct... The cat and the ladybug!
Ladybug, Cat Noir, Ash and the Pokémon escaped and hid on the side of a car!
Ash: [terrified] I don't wanna get eaten! I'm too young to die! I didn't even become a Pokémon Master yet!
Ladybug: [shakes him] [slaps him across the face] Snap out of it, Ash!
Ash: Ow!
Ladybug: Sorry! You've got to get a hold of yourself!
Ash: Sorry, it's just seeing a prehistoric creature brings back some pretty scary memories of me nearly being eaten by an Aerodactyl!
Cat Noir: Uh, don't you mean a pterodactyl?
Ash: No, I mean an Aerodactyl! It's like a pterodactyl, but much bigger and way scarier! Honestly, I would rather just sit here and cower in fear!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Lucario: MRAH?!
Ladybug: Come on now! Would the Ash Ketchum we both know and love just sit here and cower in fear?
Ash: N-No.
Cat Noir: And would the Ash Ketchum we know and love let bad memories cloud his path to justice?
Ash: No way!
Ladybug: Then, whaddya say we take down that overgrown lizard together?
Ash: Yeah! I'm not gonna let no scary memory of a carnivore nearly eating me cloud my path to justice! Let's do it!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKA PIKACHU!
Lucario: [determined] MRAH!
Sirfetch'd: [determined] FETCH'D!
Infernape: [determined] FERNAPE!
Ash: [to the animals] We'll take it from here, you guys! Get to safety!
And the animals did just that, except the panther!
Ash: Huh?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Panther: [nuzzles up against Ash] [purrs]
Ash smiled and gave the panther a hug!
Ash: You don't wanna leave my side, do you?
Panther: [shakes her head]
Ash: Okay! You can help us!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKACHU!
Panther: [licks Ash on the cheek]
Ash: [giggles]
Animan: [roars]
Ash: Here he comes! [to Ladybug] Time for our secret weapon!
Ladybug: Way ahead of you! [uses her power] Lucky Charm!
And the lucky charm today was...
Ladybug: [catches the Lucky Charm] Huh? A car jack?
Cat Noir: Too bad Animan doesn't have any flat tires.
Ash: Never thought I'd say this, but... We're doomed!
Ladybug: No we're not! Look how small his front arms are.
Cat Noir: So he won't be great at basketball. What are you getting at?
Ash: You have a plan?
Ladybug: I do. [to Cat Noir] You climb on top of him where he can't swipe at you, and while you're distracting him, I'll floor him!
Cat Noir: Sounds like a good plan. [flirting] I can be very distracting.
Ladybug: [pushes his face away from her] [to Ash] Ash, you and your Pokémon distract him as well!
Ash: [gulps nervously] Okay! I'll try!
Ladybug: You've got this!
Animan found them and chased after them!
Ash: I can do this! Get a load of my [uses Fury Cutter] FURY CUTTER!
Animan: [roars in pain]
Ash: Lucario, Double Team!
Lucario: [Double Team move] MRAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH!
Ash: Use Aura Sphere!
Lucario and clones: [Aura Sphere move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
Animan: [roars in pain]
Ash: Infernape, Flare Blitz! Sirfetch'd, Night Slash! Pikachu, Quick Attack!
Infernape: [Flare Blitz move] IN...FERNAPE!
Sirfetch'd: [Night Slash move] SIR...FETCH'D!

Animan: [hit] [roars in pain]
Ash: Get 'im, Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: On it!
Cat Noir jumped onto Animan and stood on top of him!
Ash: Do it!
Then, Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around his legs and brought him down!
Ash: Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!
Pikachu: [Thunderbolt move] PIKACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
Animan: [roaring in electrocuted pain] [skeleton flashing]
Ash: Nice! Now, what's next?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Ladybug: Well, that's weird, we didn't have to use this. What does it mean?
Cat Noir: Well, I guess that only means we rock as a team.
Ash: Wait a minute! There's still one thing that this scale bait can still attack with!
As he said that, Animan snapped his dinosaur jaws at his behind!
Ash: [shoots up into the air] WOWCH!
Then, he landed back down!
Ash: [rubs his carcus] See what I mean?
Cat Noir: He's right! How are we supposed to get his bracelet without getting chomped?
Ash: I'm not sure String Shot will be strong enough to seal his mouth shut!
Ladybug: I know what to do. [starts running towards Animan]
Cat Noir: Ladybug!
Ash: What are you doing?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Ladybug: Enjoy your meal!
Ladybug ran directly into Animan's mouth, and apparently swallowing her, much to Cat Noir and Ash's horror!
Cat Noir: NO!
Ash: LADYBUG!
Pikachu: [horrified] PIKA PIKACHU!
Lucario: [horrified] MRAH RAH MRAH!
Infernape: [horrified] INFERNAPE!
Sirfetch'd: [horrified] SIRFETCH'D!
This made Ash's face turn red with rage!
Ash: [screams in rage] [rushes in towards Animan] [livid beyond belief] YOU SLIMY LIZARD LIPS! [while punching him] YOU COUGH UP MY FRIEND! YOU COUGH HER UP RIGHT NOW!
Cat Noir: [furious] [spins his staff] You're so gonna pay for this!
Before Ash could land another punch and Cat Noir could go on the attack, Animan's jaws began to open!
Ash: Huh?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Turns out, it was Ladybug, still intact and using the car jack to lift open Animan's jaw!
Cat Noir and Ash were both relieved to see her, safe and sound!
Ash: Ladybug! [runs up and hugs her]
Ladybug: Whoa! Ash!
Ash: [cries]
Ladybug: Take it easy, Ash!
Ash: [while in tears] I was so scared! I thought you had ended up as dino food and I would never see you again! [cries harder]
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Ladybug smiled and hugged Ash back while stroking the back of his head in comfort!
Ladybug: Don't worry, Ash. Don't cry. I'm not going anywhere. I promise.
Ash smiled from this and wiped away his tears!
Ash: Okay! I just don't wanna lose a friend!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [agreeing] MRAH RAH!
Ladybug: Likewise for me! Care to do the honors?
Ash: [nods] Hm!
Ash grabbed the bracelet off of Animan's T-Rex arm and smashed the tooth part!
Then, the akuma flew out!
Ash: All yours, Ladybug!
Ladybug: [as she opens her yo-yo] No more evil-doing for you, little akuma. [swings her yo-yo around] Time to de-evilize! [as she catches the akuma] Gotcha! [releases it as a normal butterfly] Bye bye, little butterfly. [as she tosses her Lucky Charm into the air] Miraculous Ladybug!
The Lucky Charm's energy turned everything back to normal, and all the animals were returned to the zoo! Ash's wound was then healed!
Ash: Hey! My wound's all better!
Pikachu: [happy] PIKA PIKACHU!
Then, Animan turned back into Otis!
Ladybug: [holds out her fist to Cat Noir] Pound it?
Cat Noir ended up hugging her instead!
Cat Noir: Ladybug! That was a wild ride.
Ladybug and Ash: [chuckle]
But then, his Miraculous began to beep!
Cat Noir: Whoops! Better take my whiskers and [runs] run! [leaps away]
Ladybug: See you next time, Cat Noir.
Ash: Oh! I almost forgot! Juleka! I left her at the zoo!
Pikachu: PIKA PI!
Ash: [runs off with his Pokémon] See you in a little bit, Ladybug!
Ladybug: But, Ash...
She just shook her head amusingly!
Ladybug: Boys today.
Then, she went over to Otis!
Otis: Oh! What happened to me?
Ladybug: Everything's okay. But you should get back to the zoo and check on your animals.
Back at Hawk Moth's lair...
Hawk Moth: [groans] You ruined everything, Ladybug. This is not how it was supposed to end! But I promise you, one day it will be me at the top of the food chain! And you'll be nothing! [smirks] But this bout may have given me some info on the boy! I now know of his greatest fears! [as the window of his lair closes; laughs evilly]
Back at the bakery, Ladybug transformed back into Marinette and lied down on the bed, exhausted.
Marinette: [opens Popplio's PokéBall]
Popplio: [appearing] POPPLIO!
Marinette: Hey, Popplio.
Popplio: [jumps onto her chest] POP?
Marinette: [strokes Popplio on the head] I'm okay. Mommy's just exhausted is all.
Popplio: [nuzzles against her cheek affectionately] POP POP!
Marinette: I know, Popplio. I know.
She then hoisted the Sea Lion Pokémon above her!
Marinette: Mommy loves you too. And mommy did good today.
Outside, Dragonite dropped Ash off onto the balcony!
Ash: Thank you, Dragonite! [returns Dragonite] Return!
Then, Ash went down the stairs and into Marinette's room!
Ash: Hey, Marinette!
Pikachu: [saying hi] PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: Oh! Hey, Ash! Did you get Juleka from the zoo?
Ash: Yep! She wasn't mad one bit! The minute she saw me, she jumped into my arms and hugged me!
Pikachu: PIKA PI!
Marinette: Probably because she was worried about you!
Ash: [chuckles] Yep! Speaking of which, you had me scared to death when you went into that T-Rex's mouth!
Popplio: POP?!
Marinette: Yeah! Sorry about that! I wasn't trying to scare you! I was trying to keep him at bay!
Popplio: [scared; tears in her eyes] POPPLIO POP POP!
Marinette: It's okay, Popplio! Mommy isn't going anywhere! Trust me!
Popplio: POP?
Marinette: I'm not gonna leave my baby girl motherless!
Popplio: [smiles] [happily jumps into her arms] [nuzzles against her] POPPLIO!
Marinette: [giggles] I know! I know!
Tikki: Um, Marinette? Aren't you forgetting something?
Marinette: Oh no! I forgot all about Alya! She's gonna be so mad at me!
Tikki: And imagine if she knew you're the Ladybug who shut her up in a cage with Nino!
Ash: You locked Alya and Nino in a cage?!
Pikachu: PIKA?
Popplio: POP?
Marinette: Um... Uh…
Ash: Wow! I guess she must be pretty mad at you right now, huh? If she knew you were Ladybug, that is!
Marinette: Yeah, and she'd actually kill me. She must also be pretty mad at me for trying to set her and Nino up on a date.
Ash: You did that?!
Marinette: Mhm. Guess I'll take "mad", huh. [answers her phone] [talking to Alya] [begins to walk downstairs with Ash] Listen Alya, I'm sorry about earlier. I should have never told Nino I set up a date with you. [as the two of them step outside] I just wasn't thinking. But I'll explain everything to him, so don't worry. Promise. Do you forgive me?
Ash: [sees Alya] [blinks] Uh, Marinette?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Marinette: Ash, I'm on the phone [sees who's in front of her] with…
Turns out, Alya was just leaving the bakery!
Marinette, Alya, and Ash: [laugh]
Pikachu: [laughing] PIKACHU!
Popplio: [laughing] POP POP POP POP!
Nino came out of the bakery with cookies and gave one to Alya!
Alya: Thanks, Nino.
Nino: Do you want one, Marinette?
Ash: Ooh! I want one!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Nino: Okay! [gives Ash and Pikachu cookies]
Ash: Thanks! [eats a cookie]
Pikachu: [eats the other cookie] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Uhh...What's he doing here?
Alya: Ladybug locked us up together in the same cage all afternoon.
Ash: [innocently] Oh, she did, huh? That's inconvenient.
Nino: It turns out we have lots in common. You know, Marinette, [rubs the back of his head] the girl I've got a crush on?
Marinette: Oh, yeah!
Ash: Wow! I never knew you had a crush on Alya, Nino! That's pretty cool!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA PI!
Nino: Not exactly. [to Marinette] Actually, it was you.
Marinette: Huh?
Ash: Wait! You had a crush on Marinette?
Nino: Yep!
Ash: Well, I hate to burst your bubble, Nino, but uh...
Nino: Or that's what I thought. But after chilling with Alya that whole time...
Alya: [interrupts] Yeah, well...we don't have to give her all the deets, do we?
Nino: Oh, yeah, my bad.
Alya: The funniest part of it was that Nino was being totally coached by Adrien at the zoo!
Ash: He was?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Marinette: Adrien was there?!
Popplio: POP?!
Alya: Yup! LOL, huh?
Ash: I honestly don't know what to say!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA?
Ash: Either way, I'm happy for you two!
Alya: Aww, thanks, Ash!
Nino: Thanks, dude!
Ash: By the way, you shoulda seen what happened earlier before Animan appeared! I was able to tame the panther they had at the zoo just by placing my hand on her forehead! And now, she's taken a liking to me! And your dad, Otis, gave me a job at the zoo as the Chief Animal Tamer!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKACHU!
Alya became shocked by this and spat her cookie out!
Alya: Chief Animal Tamer?!
Ash: [proud] Yep!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Alya: Whoa! That's a big deal!
Ash: It sure is! And however much I get paid, I'll be able to do things with Juleka that involves spending money!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Nino: Good for you, dude!
Alya: Yeah! I'm surprised a dangerous animal like a panther took a liking to you!
Ash: I was surprised too! But I was glad I made an animal friend! Maybe if I raise enough money, I can probably keep her for a pet like how Jagged Stone has his pet crocodile!
Marinette: Uh, I'm not exactly sure that's how it works! Plus, I'm not sure my parents would be too thrilled about having a panther live in the bakery!
Ash: Oh yeah! Good point!
Nino: [to Marinette] Alya tells me you've been crushing on some dude.
Marinette: Huh?!
Ash: Alya?! You told him?!
Alya: He doesn't know who it is! [locks her pinky finger with Marinette's] Pinky swear! Cause... cause I don't go and make decisions for other people!
Ash: Yeah, Marinette!
Marinette: Ash, please.
Ash: [giggles]
Nino: But if you want, I could totally make it happen! [as Alya steps on his foot] That is, if I knew the dude!
Alya: Nino!
Nino: Fine. Pretend I never said anything. But if I...can help.
Alya: Nino!
Ash: [smiles cheekily] You mean like setting up a date between Marinette and her special someone?
Marinette: Ash!
Ash: Kidding! Kidding! Only I get to do that!
Marinette: [while tackling Ash to ground] Oh yeah?! [tickles Ash] [as Ash begins to laugh] Popplio, give me a hand!
Popplio: [complying] POP! [begins to tickle Ash as well] POP POP!
Ash: [laughs] Cut it out, Marinette! That tickles!
Pikachu: [laughs] PIKACHU!
Nino: [to Alya] I wonder if we'll have tickle time like that!
Alya: [embarrassed] NINO!
The scene ends with Ash using the Insect Plate and his Pokémon and his animal friends by his side, and Marinette thinking of a romantic moment between Alya and Nino while they were in the gorilla cage, while she was being chased by the animals as Ladybug!
Narrator: Even though things didn't turn out the way they planned, Alya and Nino are now together! But how it happened remains a mystery! But on the bright side, Ash has made some animal friends and now has a job! What sorts of excitement will await Ash then? Time will tell as the journey continues!
