A scene then shows Ash, Goh, and all their Pokémon taking a group photo.
Another peaceful day in Paris was currently rolling by, and Marinette was in her room, writing in her diary while her Kwami, Tikki, was floating around.
Marinette: [writing] Dear diary, guess what? I was two spots away from transforming back and revealing my true identity to Cat Noir.
Ash: [doing something on his Rotom Phone while doing a voice recording] Trainer's Vlog #123: Yet another successful mission in stopping the baddies caused by Hawk Moth! While both of my best hero friends were mere minutes away from being exposed to each other, I couldn't help but wonder and worry about what would happen if that notorious cause of Akumatized villains would come in contact with three bad guys that were always hot on my trail! Team Rocket!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: [finishes writing in her diary; looks at Ash] Whatcha doing, Ash?
Ash: Just recording another successful mission of beating another Akumatized baddie from Hawk Moth!
Marinette: I did hear that! But what else are you doing?
Ash: I'm also swapping out one of the Pokémon I have on my team with a different Pokémon!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Marinette: Ooh. Really? Which one?
Tikki: And who did you swap out?
Ash: I swapped out Infernape with another one of my Pokémon! One I'm sure you might find fascinating and everyone else at school too!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ash: In other words, it's a surprise!
Marinette: Well, I do like surprises!
Tikki: Marinette, weren't you meeting Alya back at school this afternoon to research your term paper?
Marinette: Oh no, I'm late! Again!
Marinette puts her diary in her box, grabs her purse and ran out her bedroom door!
Ash: [grabbing his backpack and follows] Hey! Wait for me!

Scene changes to Pikachu in an open field twirling Ash's hat on its tail and then putting on and smiling as Ash reads the title of the chapter!
Ash (voiceover): Chapter 19: Gamer!
Narrator: Our heroes seem to be on their way back to Collège Françoise Dupont! I wonder what they're gonna do?
Ash and Marinette dashed out the bakery and ran towards the school!
Ash: It's a good thing you live close by to the school!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: I know!
When they arrived and headed to the library, they could hear something coming from inside!
Ash and Marinette: Huh?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Popplio: POP?
Tikki: What's that noise?
Marinette: Hide, Tikki!
Ash: [gains a serious look] Stay behind me, Marinette! There could be trouble behind that door!
Pikachu: [defensive] PIKACHU!
Ash: [kicks in the door] Hiyah! Surrender yourself, you despicable vill- [sees what's going on] ain?
Turns out the students were playing a video game called Ultimate Mecha Strike III. Adrien and Max are playing while Alya records them.
Kim: Come on, Max.
Ash: [comes over to Alya with Marinette in tow] Um, Alya? What's going on here?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Alya: [shushes them] Shh!
Rose: Try-outs for the Paris Ultimate Mecha Strike III Tournament! This school sends the two students with the highest scores!
Ash: The who-did-the-what-now?
Kim: Actually, the tryouts offer a partner to team up with Max in the Tournament.
Ash: Max?
Marinette: Why Max?
Kim: 'Cause he's unbeatable! He's a total rocksord! He's got the highest APM over anyone!
Marinette: APM?
Ash: Wassat mean?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
Kim: Actions per minute? This tournament is his whole life! He's been grinding all year to level up.
Ash: All year?! Wow!
Pikachu: [amazed] PIKA PIKA!
Ash: How did he get to be so good?
Kim: Like I said! Years of experience!
Ash: I can tell! I don't think I'd be able to match up to his skill! I don't play video games that often!
Kim: You don't?!
Ash: Nope! Not when you're having too much fun travelling and having Pokémon Battles!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Juleka saw who had just entered the library and smiled!
Juleka: Hey, babe.
Ash: [smiles] Hi, Jules!
Pikachu: [greeting] PIKA PIKA!
Juleka: [kisses his cheek]
Ash: [blushes; giggles]
Then, Adrien's robot, NAD03, uses his special attack on Max's robot, MX-01. MX-01 is crushed and NAD03 wins!
Adrien won and his score went past Max's, putting him at the top!
Caline: Adrien is now in the lead.
Ash: Wow! That's pretty good!
Kim: What happened, Max?
[everyone cheering]
Ash: She just said "Adrien is now in the lead"!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Max: Hmm. Awesome job. We're gonna make a killer combo.
Adrien high fives him and Marinette and the rest of their class are cheering for both of them!
Marinette: So let me get this straight. If someone manages to beat Max's score, they'll team up with Adrien at the tournament?
Popplio: POP?
Kim: No one can beat Max. Or rather Max and Adrien. It's a slam dunk. They're our school's dream team!
Ash: So I see!
Alya then took Marinette by her hand and drags her to a book shelf, which doesn't go unnoticed by Ash as he follows.
Alya: I see where you're going with this, Little lady.
Popplio: POPPLIO?
Ash: What do you mean by... [realizes what Alya means] Ohhhh! [places his elbow on Marinette's shoulder]
Pikachu: [realizing] PIKA PI!
Marinette: Just imagine, teaming with Adrien!
Popplio: POP?
Alya: Are you out of your mind, girl? This is about stepping up and representing! Not snuggling up and snogging! This is serious business!
Marinette: Seriously Alya, you think I'd actually go through with that?
Ash: If it involves Adrien, you probably would!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Nonsense!
Ash: [teasing] Sure, Marinette! Whatever you say!
Marinette: Oh, be quiet!
Mr. Damocles: Well, I think we have our two champions lined up for the Paris tournament.
Marinette: Wait! Uh, Is it too late... to try out?
Ash: Oh brother.
Kim and Rose: [gasp]
Mr. Damocles: Well, the library is closing up in five minutes, but...
Alya: Oh, boy...
Ash: Won't this be a sight to see!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: [hands Popplio into Ash's arms] Hold Popplio for me, Ash!
Ash: Sure thing!
Popplio: [whimpers; wants her mother] POP POP!
Ash: Don't worry, Popplio! Your mother's gonna be playing a video game! She won't be long!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Marinette sat down and gestured Adrien gives to give her his joypad, which he obliged.
Marinette: Adrien's joypad! Ohhh...! [rubs it on her face]
Ash: [he and Alya sweat drop] Oh, the indignity.
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU.
Popplio: POP?
Ash: You'll understand your mother's desires when you're older, Popplio!
Kim: Is she serious? There's no way!
Alya: Unless the particular player has a particular motivation.
Max: The rules are elementary, You battle each other's robots with your own and...
Marinette: Please... Every time you win, you loot its items and gain XP, which upgrades your mech. I'm not a noob, thank you very much.
A flashback of Marinette and her father playing the game is seen.
Max: Ah, sounds like you have a sufficient amount of knowledge. Let's see if it's enough to beat me.
Chloé: Seriously? How could anyone spend so much time in front of a screen?
Sabrina: I know, as if.
That was when they start texting!
Ash: Then, what do you call "texting on your phone"?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Popplio: POP?
Chloé: Proves nothing, nosey pants!
Ash: [rolls his eyes] Whatever you say!
Marinette chooses LB-03, the ladybug robot, while Max chooses MX-01.
Kim: Come on, Max, you can do it!
Ash: Go for it, Marinette! You can do it!
Pikachu: [cheering] PIKA PIKA!
Popplio: [cheering] POP POP!
Marinette and Max start playing. The others see how Marinette is winning.
Marinette: And now, quarter circle plus heavy kick, and Flying Hyper Storm! Triple hit combo, Marinette style! Booyah!
Ash: Whoa! [looks at Pikachu] That could come in handy for our World Coronation Series battles, huh, Pikachu?
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette wins the game!
Marinette: Woo! Yeah! Woo hoo! I win! Uh-huh!
Ash: Now, Marinette! Don't go being a sore winner!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ash: You wanna set a good example for Popplio!
Marinette: [gasps] Eek! You're right!
Popplio: POP?
Kim: Wha! I can't believe it! She... she beat him?
Alya: Beat him? She pulverized him!
Rose: The king's been knocked off his throne!
Max was crushed that his title has been tarnished! Marinette rocketed from fourth place to first, knocking Adrien down to second and Max to third!
Ash: Oh man! She went from last place to first!
Pikachu: [amazed] PIKACHU!
Popplio: [clapping] POP POP POP POP! [jumps into Marinette's arms] POPPLIO!
Marinette: [catches Popplio; chuckles; hugs Popplio] Thanks, Popplio!
Ash: Sorry about your titled being crushed, Max! But hey, I know what might cheer you up! Now's the perfect time for my surprise!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Rose: Ooh. A surprise?!
Chloé: [scoffs] This oughta be good!
Ash: Trust me! [pulls out a PokéBall] You're gonna love this! And even Max might find this fascinating! [tosses it] Come out, Dracovish!
Dracovish: [appearing; happy] DRACOVISH! DRACO!
Marinette: [gasps] Oh wow!
Popplio: [eyes sparkle amazed] POP!
Ash: Everyone, meet Dracovish!
Dracovish: DRACOVISH!
Alya: So, it's a Dragon Fish?
Ash: Something like that!
Dracovish: DRACO DRACOVISH!
Marinette: Wow! Hi there, Dracovish! Nice to meet you!
Dracovish: DRACO? [happy] DRACO! [love bites on Marinette's whole head]
Marinette: [muffled] GAH!
Ash: YEOW! Marinette! Hold on! I gotcha! [grabs Marinette's ankles] I gotcha! [pulls; grunts] Dracovish, let go!
Dracovish did just that with them tumbling backwards!
Ash and Marinette: Whoa!
Miss Bustier: Are you two alright?
Ash: I'm alright!
Marinette: Me too!
Ash: Sorry about that, Marinette! It can be quite a love-biter!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: That's alright, Ash! I'm sure it was trying to be friendly anyway!
Dracovish: DRACOVISH!
Marinette: Besides, [pets Dracovish] it is kinda cute!
Dracovish: [blushes; happy] DRACO!
Max: Fascinating! It almost looks like a prehistoric creature!
Kim: Like a dinosaur!
Ash: Well actually, Dracovish is a Fossil Pokémon and the very first one I ever caught!
Alix: You actually caught it?
Ash: Sure did!
Alya: Major scoop! How did you do it?
Ash: Me and my friends travelled to the Galar Region to research the hybrid fossil process done by two scientists! They were planning to bring back Arctovish and Dracozolt, but they mixed the fossils up and ended up getting Arctozolt and the very Fossil Pokémon you're seeing right now!
Max: Fascinating!
Nino: Cool!
Chloé: Puh-lease! That's just ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! If you find a fossil, you should bring it to a museum, not bring it back to life!
Ash: Maybe that's how it works here, but not where I'm from!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Chloé: [scoffs] Whatever!
Nino: He has a point, Chloé! Haven't you ever wondered what it would be like if dinosaurs were brought back?
Chloé: If that were to happen, I would force- Er, I mean ask my father to open a dinosaur theme park!
Pikachu: PIKA? [begins to think]
Pikachu imagined what a dinosaur theme park would look like only to go too far and imagine dinosaurs either tearing humans apart limb from limb or eating them!
Pikachu: [shudders] PIKACHU. [shakes off the imagination] PRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Ash: Yeah, I'm not sure I wanna imagine that either, buddy!
Rose: Hi, Dracovish!
Dracovish: DRA?
Rose: [holds up a fish fillet from her lunch] Say 'ah'!
Dracovish: [opens its mouth] DRACO!
Then, she tossed the fish fillet into its mouth!
Dracovish: [swallows it] DRA! [happy] DRACOVISH!
Rose: [giggles] You're welcome!
Dracovish: [happy] DRACOVISH!
Even though Max got a chance to see a Fossil Pokémon, he still felt crushed about losing his chance to be in the tournament!
Max: I accept this defeat. I relinquish my position at the tournament. Congratulations, Marinette. [as Adrien places his hand on his shoulder] And Adrien.
Then, Max started to leave!
Ash: Hold on, Max! [follows after him] Wait a minute!
Adrien: Max, wait!
Kim: Oh, Max...
Max: Look. I'm fine, I lost fair and square. But if you don't mind, I'd like a little solitude. [leaves]
Ash: Max! [follows] Wait!
Max: Ash, I understand your concern...
Ash: But Max, you can't just give up! You've worked so hard to be in that tournament!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Max: But you clearly saw that I was defeated fair and square.
Ash: Well, yeah, but...
Max: I'm sorry, but fair is fair. [walks away]
Ash: [sad] Oh, Max.
Pikachu: [sad; ears droop] PIKACHU.
Dracovish: [sad] DRACO.
Juleka hugged her soulmate in attempt to cheer him up!
Juleka: It's okay, babe. At least you tried.
Ash: Yeah, I guess so, Jules.
Juleka: [places her hand on his cheek] Trying is what really counts. [kisses his forehead]
Ash: [smiles] Thanks, Juleka!
Juleka: That's what I'm here for, babe. [hugs him; coos]
Ash couldn't help but smile at this, but he was still worried about Max!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKA…
Mr. Damocles: So, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste will represent Françoise Dupont High School at the Paris Ultimate Mecha Strike III Tournament. Good luck to both of you.
Adrien: [to Marinette] Well, I guess I'll be coming over to practice. With my new partner. See you later. [walks away]
Marinette: See... ya...
Popplio: POP?
Alya: Now you gotta win, M, and you're gonna be representing the school, not just hanging out with Adrien.
Marinette: [dreamingly] Oh, Adrien...
Alya: Oh, [facepalms] brother...
Ash: You took the words right out of my mouth!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Dracovish: DRACO?
Alya: [pats its head] There's a lot I need to fill you in about, Dracovish!
Dracovish: VISH!
Outside, Max was taking a walk and still feeling angry about losing his chance to be in the tournament!
Max: This is a travesty. An unequivocal travesty!
At Hawk Moth's lair, the said villain sensed Max's anger as the window of his lair opened!
Hawk Moth: Ah, a competition. I know you like that, my little evil Akumas. Where there's a winner, there's always a loser.
Then, a butterfly landed in his hand and he turned it into an Akuma! Once he did so, he glanced over at Team Rocket!
Hawk Moth: Ready to give my victim a powerful Pokémon, Team Rocket?
Team Rocket: Ready and willing, sir!
They moved out of the way, revealing to have the Rocket Prize Master behind them!
Jessie: We've had our boss, Giovanni, send over a newly modified Rocket Prize Master! Equipped with voice-activation!
Hawk Moth: Excellent!
Meowth: Now, go ahead and give it a try!
Hawk Moth: Now, Rocket Prize Master! Give me a Pokemon that involves virtuality!
A PokéBall with an 'R' was dispensed from the Rocket Prize Master!
Rocket Prize Master: [robot voice] You have received, the Virtual Pokémon, Porygon-Z!
Hawk Moth: [chuckles evilly; takes the PokéBall] Excellent!
James: To shrink it down, just press the button on the center of the PokéBall!
Hawk Moth did just that and received the expected result!
Then the akuma took the mini PokéBall and flew towards the window!
Hawk Moth: Fly away, my little Akuma, and evilize him!
Then, the Akuma flew off into the city!
In the streets, Max laments on not going to the tournament while the Akuma was flying after his glasses.
Max: I should've been going to that tournament. I was the chosen one! I worked so hard for it! Inconceivable!
Then, the Akuma dropped the PokéBall beside Max and it enlarged, while the bug went into his glasses!
Hawk Moth: Gamer, I am Hawk Moth. I'll help you win the tournament of your life. But in return, you must help me achieve my high score.
Max: Absolutely, Hawk Moth. Game on! Now to see who's the greatest gamer in Paris!
Hawk Moth: In addition, thanks to my new friends, I'm giving you your own Pokémon to assist you with your mission!
Then, the PokéBall opened and revealed...
Hawk Moth: Introducing the Virtual Pokémon, Porygon-Z!
Porygon-Z: PORYGON!
Max transformed into Gamer and a black pyramid formed around him, with a green eye appearing in the middle!
Gamer: [laughs evilly]
With Ash and Marinette, they were walking back to the bakery!
Marinette: [spins around] Ah, training with Adrien! Adrien!
Tikki: If all you wanted to do is spend time with Adrien, there are other ways to do that!
Marinette: What are you getting at?
Popplio: POPPLIO?
Tikki: You know how much Max wanted to be in that tournament. Kim said he'd been training for it all year.
Ash: That's true! He was crushed when you managed to knock him down to third!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Right. All I could think about was Adrien.
Ash: Honestly, that's you ever think about!
Marinette: Says the Pokémon Trainer who usually thinks about stuffing his face with food!
Ash: [blushes in embarrassment; groans]
But instead of retorting, Ash had a cheeky idea!
Ash: [cheekily] You know, once Adrien comes over to train with you, I wonder what he'll say about you having thousands of pictures of him hanging around your room and you used him as your computer screensaver?
Marinette: Oh, don't be- [gasps] Adrien's coming to my house! No, this is a total disaster! I have to... clean my room!
Ash: [snickers]
Pikachu: [giggles] PIKACHU!
The scene shifts to Marinette's room where the said girl was scared that Adrien will see all the photos of him.
Tikki: That's what I've been trying to tell you all along.
Marinette: Oh, this... is not... happening!
Tikki: Calm down, Marinette. You still have time. It's not like he's gonna show up this very minute.
With Tikki's help, they were taking down the pictures of Adrien to try and hide them, while Ash just watched!
Marinette: Are you just gonna sit there or are you gonna help me with these photos?!
Ash: Sorry, Marinette! This is your problem! Not mine! [stands up] Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna do some special training and let you two do your thing! [while heading to the floor door and out of it; teasing] And try not to get all naughty-naughty with him while I'm gone [chuckles; closes the door behind him]! [comes back up for a second] But if you do and you bare a child, which might be a boy, name him after me! [goes down and closes the door]
Then, Ash left leaving Marinette beet red in the face about what Ash just said!
Marinette: ASH!
Tikki: [giggles]
Marinette: It's not funny, Tikki!
Tikki: It is a bit funny, Marinette! Plus, you do realize he's just joking, right?
Marinette: Well, you're not wrong!
Popplio: POP?
That's when the doorbell rang!
Sabine: [from downstairs] Marinette! Someone's here to see you!
Marinette: Uh... C-C-Coming!
Popplio: POP!
Adrien: Marinette and I are finalists in the Paris Ultimate Mecha Strike III Tournament.
Litten: [agreeing] LITTEN!
Tom: No way. Well, she did learn from the best [poses] Tom style! Booyah!
Machamp: [chuckles] CHAMP!
Florges: [chuckles] FLORGES!
Adrien: By the way, is Ash here too?
Ash: [coming down] Right here!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Adrien: Hey, Ash! You wanna watch us play Ultra Mecha Strike III?
Ash: Sorry, Adrien! I can't right now! I'm going off to do some special training for the my future World Coronation Series battles over at the park! But Marinette is waiting upstairs for you!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Adrien: Oh? Okay then! I just figured that if you watch us play, you could get a better understanding of the game and would wanna play it yourself!
Litten: [nods in agreement] LITTEN!
Ash: Well, when you put it that way... [decides] Okay! Why not!
Pikachu: PIKA?
Adrien: Really? Cool!
Sabine: Ash, what about your training?
Ash: I'll train later! No harm in wanting to try and learn something new! Besides, Marinette's skill in the game might be a pretty good move for me to use for my World Coronation Series battles!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Tom: I suppose that would be interesting to see! And hey, maybe you and I can play a round some time?
Ash: Sure thing, Mr. Dupain! But just know that Marinette's told me a bunch about your gaming skills and how she got them from you!
Tom: [chuckles] I know!
Sabine: Marinette never told us about this Tournament.
Adrien: We were just pairing out today.
Ash: [nods] Mhm!
Sabine: You two are a pair, huh? I'm not surprised. Marinette talks a lot about you, you know?
Ash: [murmurs] A whole lot.
Marinette: Mom! Ash!
Ash: [snickers]
Marinette: ...Come up, Adrien!
Adrien: Uh, very nice to meet you.
And Adrien went up with Ash following!
Tom Sabine: Ohhh...
Machamp: CHAMP?
Florges: FLORGES?
In the streets of Paris, the Gamer's pyramid ship appeared and was hovering through traffic.
Hawk Moth: Gamer. It's time to get to the next level and show everyone that you're the best!
Gamer: No time like the present! Porygon-Z, Psychic power!
Porygon-Z: [Psychic move] PORYGON!
Gamer: Hahahahaha!
Back at the Dupain-Cheng House, in Marinette's room, Marinette and Adrien start practicing for the Tournament with Ash watching and Pikachu, Popplio and Litten playing with each other!
Pikachu: [playing] PIKA PIKA!
Popplio: [playing] POP POP!
Litten: [playing] LITTEN!
Ash: You be careful, you three!
Pikachu: [nods affirmatively] PIKACHU!
Marinette and Adrien were getting ready to practice! They both went to grab their controllers, but they ended up touching hands instead!
Ash: [taking a picture with his Rotom Phone with the sound off]
Marinette: Oh! Hahaha. Sorry.
Adrien: No, you go.
Ash: Oh, you two! It's like you two were made for each other!
Pikachu: PIKA PI!
Marinette: [through her teeth] Ash, if you don't keep your mouth shut, so help me, I'll pummel you.
Ash: [chuckles nervously]
Marinette: [sighs in exasperation]
Both: I'll use the other one. [both take each other's hands] Ah! [each take their controllers]
They began to play!
Ash: [giggles softly]
Marinette: I can hear you back there, Giggles!
Adrien: Your parents seem nice.
Marinette: Oh yeah, they are. But... sometimes...
Ash: What she means is that they're happy you came because they think you're her boy-
Marinette: [through her teeth] Don't you finish that sentence or that word.
However, Marinette saw Tikki trying to hide a picture of Adrien!
Marinette: Ahhhh! [takes the photo of Adrien and throws it across the room]
Ash: [Muttley snickers; whispers to the fourth wall] I put it up there on purpose while she wasn't looking. Ain't I stinker?
Adrien: Sometimes what?
Tom: [opens the hatch, holding a tray of croissants] Everything going good? I thought just in case you wanted something to eat...
Ash and Adrien liked the sound of that!
Marinette: Uh... no thanks, Papa. We're training.
Ash: Aw.
Pikachu: [disappointed] PIKACHU.
Marinette: But Ash can have them!
Ash: [smiles; excited] Awesome!
Pikachu: [smiles; excited] PIKACHU!
Litten: [excited] LITTEN!
Popplio: [excited; claps] POP POP POP POP!
Tom: [as he hands Ash the plate of croissants] Well then, uh, maybe you could use a few tips, you know... dad style.
Marinette: Thanks, but no thanks! Papa!
Ash: They just want to practice in peace! [whispers] And hopefully get closer!
Marinette: [growls angrily while turning red in embarrassment; uses an extendo-head-bonker on Ash]
Ash: OW! What did I do?
Tom chuckled at this and left while closing the floor door!
Ash: [turns to Marinette; points at the extendo-head-bonker] Where did you even get that?
Marinette: Made it myself to keep you from stepping out of line!
Ash: You did? But how... [rubs his neck and smiles sheepishly] Maybe it's best if I don't know, huh?
Marinette: Probably! But just note that what I just did will happen again if you step out of line again with your teasing!

Marinette saw her parents peeking through the floor door, just as they closed it!
Ash: [chuckles]
Marinette: Where were we?
Ash: You were about to fight that big robo boss!
Marinette: Oh yes! [elbows Ash playfully] We were about to fight "that big robo boss"!
Ash: [chuckles; cheekily] Just try not to mess up because Adrien is next to you.
Marinette: [pouts; groans]
Ash: [giggles]
Marinette: Hang on, I thought you had special training to do? What happened with doing that?
Ash: Adrien suggested that I'd come and watch so I can learn how to play it! Plus that move you did when you faced off against Max could be perfect for my training afterwards!

Ash: [shakes his head] I wanna learn some video game skills! Honest! Plus, I heard you got them off your dad!

In the streets of Paris, the Gamer's ship continues to absorb people via energy spheres.
Gamer: Psychic power, Porygon-Z!
Porygon-Z: [Psychic move] PORY...
Some of the civilians were held frozen in place! Then, his ship started trapping people in green spheres and the ship absorbed them!
Gamer: I'll be at level 2 in no time! My skills are indisputable!
As his ship continued to absorb people via energy spheres! When he came across traffic, he fired from his ship and absorbed multiple people through energy spheres, including their vehicles!
Gamer: I am unstoppable! Hahahaha!
Porygon-Z: [laughing robotically] GON! GON GON! GON! GON GON!
With enough energy gathered, the Gamer's ship evolved into a two-legged robot! Meaning he had gone to level two!
Gamer: Excellent!
His robot started absorbing people, gaining more power by the minute!
Gamer: [laughs evilly]
Meanwhile, back in Marinette's room, Marinette and Adrien had won another round!
Ash: Nice job, you two! You're getting better and better by the minute!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Adrien: Thanks, Ash! [to Marinette] We won again, thanks to you!
Marinette: Yeah, um, yes we did.
Adrien: We? That was practically all you. You're amazing, Marinette. I guess you wouldn't even need me. I'm so lame compared to you...
Ash: Now, don't say that, Adrien! Marinette doesn't think you're lame at all!
Marinette: Yeah, you're so good. I mean, I'm the one who's not good. I mean... I'm lucky, that's all.
Ash: It's not luck! More of pure inspiration from a guy Marinette is crushing on so hard!

Marinette: [pulls out one of those Whack-A-Mole mallets; bonks Ash on the head]

Popplio: [dancing; chanting "Woo! Yeah! Woo hoo! Mama wins! Uh-huh!"] POP POP! POP! POP POP! POP POP! POPPLIO!

That made both Marinette and Adrien smile at this!

Litten: [smiles] LITTEN!
Then, Tom came in with a tray of fresh cookies!
Tom: Anyone want cookies? Baked hot from the oven!
Ash: Ooh. Cookies! Chocolate chip, right?
Tom: Absolutely!
Ash: Awesome!
Adrien and Litten wanted a cookie too!
Marinette: Papa, we're trying to work here!
Then, he exited the room, taking the cookies with him!

Ash: [groans in disappointment]

This time, both Tom and Sabine opened the door, with Sabine holding a pie!
Sabine: How about a delicious salmon and spinach pie? You can tell me what you think of it?

Marinette: Well, I guess a snack break couldn't hurt! [picks up Popplio] Come on, my baby girl! [coos] Let's get some nom-noms into your tum-tum!

Ash: Oh boy! Snack time!

Soon, at the park, Ash, Marinette, Adrien and their Pokémon were enjoying their snacks!
Marinette: Uh, I'm really sorry. It's impossible to get anything down with my parents around.
Adrien: That's okay. [eats his pie] I didn't know your dad made such yummy pie!

Adrien smiled from this and held a small piece of pie towards his Fire Cat Pokémon!
Adrien: Here, Litten!
Litten: [eats it] LITTEN!
Adrien: Is it good?
Litten: [nods] LIT! [burps] TEN! [embarrassed] LIT...
Adrien: [chuckles] Excuse you, buddy!
Litten: [sheepish] LITTEN!
Ash: [giggles] You know, it's kinda funny! The two of you both have Starter Pokémon from Alola!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Yeah, I guess you're right!
Adrien: Yeah!
Popplio: POPPLIO!
Litten: LITTEN!
Ash: You know! I remember catching myself two Alolan starters!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: Really? Which ones?
Ash: There's Rowlet, the first Pokémon I ever caught in Alola, and I had a Litten, too! But now, it's a full-grown Incineroar!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Litten: [amazed] LITTEN!
Adrien: Wow! I thought that picture of you and your Alolan Pokémon, friends, and family had a much larger Litten in it! I never knew you had one as well, Ash!
Ash: Yeah! I remember when I first met my Litten up close!

Ash (Voiceover): I was on my way to the Pokémon School, but that's when I happened to come across Litten! I thought it was a pretty cool Pokémon and I wanted to be friends with it! But it took some of my lunch and ran off!
Marinette: [chuckles] Why am I not surprised?
Ash: Yeah! But I found out that the reason it was taking good was because it was feeding a very old Stoutland! I could tell because of its long fur!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Adrien: How old do you think it was?
Ash: Honestly, it was hard to tell!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Ash: But some time later, when Litten found out the truth about Stoutland, I decided to take it in as a part of my family!
Marinette: But whatever happened to Stoutland?
Ash became saddened when she mentioned where Stoutland was now.
Ash: Stoutland… was gone.
Pikachu: [sad] PIKACHU…
Marinette: Whaddya mean go- [realizes what he means] Ah. Oh.
Adrien: [sad] It passed away, didn't it?
Ash: [nods sadly]
Pikachu: [sad] PIKACHU.
Marinette: [sad] Oh, Ash. I'm so sorry that happened to your Litten. It must've been completely heartbroken.
Popplio: [sad] POP POP.
Ash: It was. But that's when I offered to take it in as a part of my family!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!

Ash: Well, when it comes to Pokémon, earning their trust is a great way to become friends with them so they can trust you back!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Marinette: That's excellent advice!
Adrien: Agreed!
Ash: Yeah! And I should know because it's worked for me a few or so times in the past!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Marinette: Really? Which Pokémon have you caught by earning their trust?

Ash: Well... Back when my Greninja was just a Froakie, it used to have multiple Trainers, but it wouldn't listen to any of them, due to issues of trust. In the end, each Trainer Froakie had gave up on it.
Marinette: That sounds terrible!
Popplio: [sad] POP POP!
Ash: But that was when I came along!
Adrien: Whaddya mean?
Litten: LITTEN?
Ash: When I first started my journey in Kalos, Team Rocket followed me and tried to capture Pikachu, as per usual!
Marinette: [groans in annoyance] Those three!
Adrien: [rolls his eyes] You've read my mind! Those jerks are nothing but trouble!
Ash: I know! My new friends gave me a hand, but we were in a tight pinch with Wobbuffet's Mirror Coat! That's Froakie came to our rescue and sent Team Rocket packing!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Marinette: It did? For real?
Ash: [nods] Mhm! However, it was injured during battle, so we went to Professor Sycamore so it could be treated! While it was being healed, we learnt about its past and how it wouldn't listen to any of its previous Trainers!
Marinette: Then what happened?
Popplio: POP?
Ash: That was when trouble started brewing! Team Rocket had a device that made Professor Sycamore's Garchomp go on a violent rampage!
Marinette: [freaked out a bit] V-Violent rampage?!
Popplio: [scared] POPPLIO!
Ash: It wasn't in control of itself!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Ash: So, I tried to help, but Garchomp ran off and went all the way to the Lumiose Tower! When we arrived, the entrance was blocked! So me, Pikachu and Froakie had to climb the tower ourselves!
Adrien: You climbed the tower yourself?
Marinette: Ash, that was completely dangerous and irresponsible!
Ash: Oh, it was! But I was more than willing to do it! When we got up, Garchomp started to attack, but luckily, I was able to calm it down and we destroyed the collar that was putting it in pain!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: Well, that's good! Did you safely climb back down the tower, back the way you came?
Ash: Not quite! Some of the ledge Pikachu was on crumbled away and began to fall!
Marinette: It did?!
Pikachu: [nods affirmatively] PIKACHU!
Ash: That's when it gave way and Pikachu began to fall!
Marinette: [gasps in horror]
Popplio: [gasps in horror] POPPLIO!
Adrien: Oh man, what did you?
Ash: The only thing I could do to try and save my buddy! I jumped off the tower and fell to catch Pikachu and then hug it close to my arms!
Marinette: [gasps in horror] YOU DID WHAT?!
Ash: I know! It was risky, but I had no other choice! I'm willing to take any risk to protect my best buddy!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: But you could've gotten yourself killed!
Adrien: She's right! How did you even survive?
Ash: Pikachu and I were rescued by a Mega Blaziken that swooped in using Flare Blitz!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: [breathes a heavy sigh of relief]
Adrien: [relieved] Thank goodness.
Ash: After that, when I got my Kalos Region Pokédex, Froakie decided to come along with me! It chose me to be its Trainer because of my pure heart and the way I was able sacrifice my life to save Pikachu!
Pikachu: [nods in agreement; smiles] PIKA PI! PIKA PIKACHU!
Ash: So, it had travel along with me! And ever since then, we've been through thick and thin, especially as it evolved into Frogadier and then Greninja!
Marinette: Wow!
Adrien: That's a great story, Ash!
Litten: [agreeing] LITTEN!
Ash: Thanks, you guys!
Marinette: So, shall we go back?
Adrien: [holding Marinette's lucky charm] Let's see if it works.
Ash: Yeah! Let's get going!

But then...
Rotom Phone: [alarm sounding] Akuma Alert! Akuma Alert!
Ash: [gasps] An Akuma Alert?!

Ash: Rotom, identify!
Before his Rotom Phone had the chance to, the Gamer's robot had arrived at the park and was absorbing people through energy spheres!
Ash: Whoa! Is that a robot?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Marinette: Tell me this isn't some kind of publicity stunt for the tournament!
Ash: I have a feeling this isn't a publicity stunt!
The Gamer's robot zoomed in on Marinette!
Gamer: Well, well. Marinette, let's see who's victorious this time.
Adrien: I'm with Ash on this. Doesn't look like a publicity stunt to me.
The Gamer's robot fired a laser at them!
Adrien: [jumps off and tackles Marinette] Look out!
They dodged just in time!
Ash: Quick, Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!
Pikachu: [Thunderbolt move] PIKA...CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
The Thunderbolt made contact, but it didn't leave a scratch!
Gamer: Ha! Oh, young and naïve fool! This mech I have was made to also absorb electricity! Your feeble Thunderbolt attack is useless against me!
Ash: [gasps in shock]
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Adrien was on top of Marinette, much to her delight!
Adrien: Uh, [takes her hand and runs] we better get outta here!
Ash: No need to tell me [tosses a PokéBall] twice!
Dracovish: [appearing] DRACOVISH!
Adrien: Dracovish?!
Ash: Dracovish, Water Gun!
Dracovish: [Water Gun move] DRACO!
Dracovish's Water Gun managed to short-circuit the robot!
Gamer: Hey! No fair! [pressing buttons] Recalculating! Recalculating!
Ash: Let's get outta here!
Marinette and Adrien ran holding their hands, but they separated from the robot firing its lasers and split into different directions!
Ash: Keep running!
Pikachu: [running] PIKA PIKA!
Dracovish: [running] DRACO!
Ash: Hurry!
Marinette, Ash, and their Pokémon ran out of the Park, with the Gamer chasing them while firing lasers. Suddenly, the Gamer's robot leapt right in front of them!
Gamer: Game over, Marinette!
Marinette: How does he know my name?
Ash: I don't know!
Marinette: [realizing] Max!
Ash: [gasps] Max?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Dracovish: DRACO?!
Popplio: POP?!
Ash: Oh no! Hawk Moth must've made Max his next victim!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKACHU!
Gamer's robot fired lasers at them and made a run for it!
Marinette: I guess he really did want that spot on the tournament!
Ash: And now, he's blinded by rage!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Marinette: What'll we do?!
Ash: I know! [climbs aboard Dracovish] Climb on!
Marinette: We're gonna ride on Dracovish?!

Another laser fired right beside her made her agree!

Gamer: Huh?!
Hawk Moth: [from his lair] What on Earth?! How is that possible?!
Jessie: How is it moving so fast?!
Meowth: Must be the speedy type!

Wobbuffet: WOBBU!
Hawk Moth: You three know about Pokémon! What kind of Pokémon does the boy have?!
Meowth: He's got loads of 'em, boss! Hawk Moth: Interesting! [talks into the light mask] Gamer, the energy from that Pokémon will boost you to level three! Then, you'll be unstoppable!
Gamer: Affirmative, Hawk Moth! [chuckles evilly]
Adrien was hiding behind a tree to transform!
Adrien: Time to transform. [takes out Litten's PokéBall; returns Litten] Litten, return!
[Transformation Sequence]
Adrien: Plagg, claws out!
Then, Adrien transformed into Cat Noir!
Meanwhile, Marinette and Ash were still running away from the Gamer's robot while riding Dracovish!
Ash: Faster, Dracovish! He's gaining on us!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Dracovish: [runs faster] DRACO!
A laser blast fired near Dracovish made it lose balance!
Dracovish: [stumbles] DRACO!
Ash and Marinette: [fall off Dracovish] WAH!
Pikachu: [falls off] PIKA!
Popplio: [falls off] POP!
Dracovish: [falls down] DRAC!
The Gamer's robot was about to fire at them!
Ash: Oh no!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKA!
Marinette: [whimpers in fear]

Gamer: Huh?! [as his Robot's camera was hit] AH!

Popplio: [putting on a brave face] POPPLIO!
Ash: Wow! Look how brave Popplio is being!
Pikachu: [impressed] PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: [sheds a tear of joy] I'm so proud of my baby girl!
Gamer: How adorable! It's trying to play the hero!
Ash: Something tells me he's not gonna go down easily! Pikachu, use Quick Attack!
Pikachu: [Quick Attack move] PIKA!
Gamer: [chuckles sinisterly] Porygon-Z, Zap Cannon!
Porygon-Z: [Zap Cannon move] PORY...GON!
Pikachu: PIKA?! [hit] PIKA!
Ash: [shocked] Pikachu!
Porygon-Z: [beeps] PORYGON PORY!
Marinette: What Pokémon is that?!
Ash: It can't be Porygon! [pulls out his Rotom Phone]
Rotom Phone: Porygon-Z, the Virtual Pokémon. A Normal-type. Additional software was installed to make it a better Pokémon. It began acting oddly, however.
Ash: It must be one of its evolved forms!
Marinette: But... this doesn't make any sense! How can Max have his own Pokémon?!
Ash: I don't think that's his own Pokémon! If I know a Pokémon that's used for evil, it's bound to be one from Team Rocket's Rocket Prize Master!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Marinette: Then, that means...
Ash: Yes! My enemies are in cahoots with Hawk Moth!
Pikachu: [gasps] PIKA!
Popplio: [gasps] POP!
Marinette: Oh no.
Popplio: [worried] POPPLIO.
Marinette: That's not good. What do we do?!
Ash: [throws a determined look on his face] Marinette, it's battle time!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Whaddya mean "battle time"?! Need I remind you of the giant robot?!
Ash: I know! But don't worry! If there's one thing I was able to beat in the past, it was mechs made by Team Rocket!
Marinette: But this is different! And Pikachu's Thunderbolt didn't do a thing and Popplio and Dracovish's Water-type attacks barely did a thing! In short, we can't win like this!
Ash: Yes we can! Don't give up until the very end!

Marinette: But...
Ash: You can do this, Marinette! I'm right behind you!
Pikachu: PIKA!
That made Marinette feel a little better!
Gamer: Game over for you both!

His robot was about to fire another laser!

Gamer brought out Porygon-Z's PokéBall and returned it!
Gamer: I'll be saving it for our final boss! Which you won't be around for or be apart of!
Before the robot could fire another laser at them, Cat Noir's staff appeared and hit the robot!
Cat Noir: Not yet! Here comes a new challenger!
Ash: Cat Noir!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Marinette: Cat Noir! Hey! Over here!
Popplio: POP POP POP!
Ash: Get us out of here!
Marinette: [takes out Popplio's PokéBall] Popplio, return!
Ash: Hurry, Cat Noir!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Cat Noir: [leaps in] Imma comin'!
Just as Marinette returned Popplio, Cat Noir did a flip and barrel roll, all while dodging the robot's lasers!
Ash: Oh, [covers his eyes] I can't [peeks through his finger] look!
Then, Cat Noir scooped Marinette into his arms and made a run for it!
Ash: Hey! What about me?!
Cat Noir: [running] Use the Blank Plate, Ash! HURRY!
Ash: Uh, right! [runs a bit; pulls out the Blank Plate] Blank Plate, activate!
Within a quick flash of light, Ash's clothes transformed into a light grey color scheme, and a PokéBall symbol appeared on his cap!
Ash: Gotta light-speed, keed! [returns Dracovish to its PokéBall; to Pikachu] Hold on tight, buddy!
Pikachu: [holds on] PIKA!
Ash and Cat Noir ran from the robot, dodging its lasers. They jumped from car to car, then from rooftop to rooftop, until they reached Le Grand Paris Hotel and landed on the roof.
Cat Noir: [sets Marinette down; to Ash] Wow! I knew the Blank Plate made you fast, but I didn't know it could make you do that!
Ash: Me neither! [takes off the Blank Plate and transforms back]
Cat Noir: [to Marinette] I heard Miss Video Game Champion really took down the final boss.
Marinette: Well it doesn't give him extra points to go transforming everyone.
Ash: I agree! But what can we do?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
Marinette: I don't know! [sees Cat Noir about to leave] Hey, wait, Cat Noir! We left our friend Adrien at the park! He might be in danger, we have to go back!
Ash: Oh yeah! You're right!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKA PIKACHU!
Ash: Adrien might be in trouble!
Cat Noir: Uh... don't worry. Adrien's not in danger. He'll be fine. You'll be safe here. Just stay put. Don't worry, Cat Noir will take care of everything. Let's go, buddy!
Ash: Right behind you! [pulls out a Super Leaf] Time to fly, guy!
Then, Ash powered up to Raccoon Ash!
Cat Noir: Arch, leap, and do a barrel roll! [leaps and rolls]
Raccoon Ash: Up, up, [takes flight] and away!
Marinette: Uh, he's always so over-the-top.
Tikki: If ever there was a game to win, this is it! Let's go!
[Transformation Sequence]
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! Ha!
Then, Marinette transformed into Ladybug! In the streets, Cat Noir and Ash were following the Gamer's robot, and saw he was heading for a bus.
Raccoon Ash: There he is!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Raccoon Ash: And he's heading for that bus!
Cat Noir: We'd better hurry!
Raccoon Ash: Never fear! Raccoon Ash to the rescue!
Ash and Cat Noir jumped down to the crowd near the bus!
Cat Noir: Get away from here! As far as you can! [sees the robot] Hurry!
Raccoon Ash: Run for your lives!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
The people didn't need to be told twice and ran away while screaming! The Gamer's robot's camera zoomed in on the three heroes!
Cat Noir: Hey, tin can! Over here!
Raccoon Ash: Betcha can't catch us!
Gamer: My calculations indicate that your system's about to crash!
Raccoon Ash: We'll see about that! [takes out two PokéBalls and tosses them] Lucario! Dracovish! I choose you!
Lucario: [appearing] MRAH RAH!
Dracovish: [appearing] DRACOVISH!
Raccoon Ash: Lucario, use Aura Sphere! Dracovish, use Water Gun!
Lucario: [Aura Sphere move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
Dracovish: [Water Gun move] DRACO...VISH!
That did damage on the Gamer's robot!
Raccoon Ash: Direct hit!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
But the robot stood strong!
Raccoon Ash: Dracovish, use Fishious Rend!
Cat Noir: Fishious Rend?
Dracovish: [Fishious Rend move] DRACO...VISH!
That did damage to the robot!
Raccoon Ash: Got 'em!
Cat Noir: I did not see that coming!
Raccoon Ash: Pikachu, Iron Tail! Lucario, Force Palm!
Pikachu: [Iron Tail move] CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...PIKA!
Lucario: [Force Palm move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
That did more damage on the robot and made it wobble!
Gamer: Whoa!
Raccoon Ash: Keep it up, you guys!
Lucario: [Aura Sphere move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
Pikachu: [Quick Attack move] PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKACHU!
Dracovish: [Water Gun move] DRACO!
Gamer: [hit] WAUGH! Stop that!
Raccoon Ash: You give up?!
Gamer: Never!
Raccoon Ash: Then, we won't stop until you surrender! Dracovish, use Ice Fang!
Dracovish: [Ice Fang move] DRACO!
Gamer: Ah!
That froze one of the legs!
Gamer: MY LEG!
Cat Noir: Ha! Nice one!
Raccoon Ash: Thanks!
Cat Noir attempted to take out Litten's PokéBall, but in no way could he do so and restrained himself!
Cat Noir: [in his head] No, I can't! I'll expose myself if I let Litten out!
The Gamer's robot managed to break free from the ice, but before he had the chance to attack again, Ladybug came in and tied the two legs of the robot together with her yo-yo.
Ladybug: You're the one crashing, robot! [pulls the yo-yo's string, making the robot fall]
Raccoon Ash: [shouting like a lumberjack] Timber!
And the robot fell with a huge CRASH!
Raccoon Ash: Down goes Fisher! [gives Ladybug a thumbs up] Nice one, Ladybug!
Ladybug: Thanks, Ash! And really? "Timber"? We're nowhere near a forest!
Raccoon Ash: Well, the bigger they are, the harder they fall!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ladybug: True!
Cat Noir: Ha! Good one!
Raccoon Ash: [looking at the robot] Hmm... I can't help but feel like that this robot looks familiar!
Pikachu: PIKA?
Lucario: MRAH?
Dracovish: DRACO?
Cat Noir: He's a life-size robot, from Ultimate Mecha Strike!
Ladybug: I know! And it's nearly at level 3.
Raccoon Ash: You're right! But what can we do?
Ladybug: We'll think of something! But we can't let it level up any further! 4 is the highest level!
Raccoon Ash: What happens when he reaches level 4?
Ladybug: Basically, he'll be unstoppable!
Cat Noir: Wait, you know that game?
Ladybug: Duh! Of course!
Cat Noir: See? You and me! It was meant to be.
Raccoon Ash: Oh, be serious, Cat! Now's not the time for flirting! Now's the time to think of it a plan! And I'm open to suggestions!

While our heroes were conversing with one another, Gamer noticed a bus nearby and gained a devious smile.
Gamer: [chuckles sinisterly]
With one push of a button, he absorbed the bus and his robot evolved into level 3, and this time, his robot had big arms!
Raccoon Ash: Aw, crud muffins! His mech is now at level 3!
Pikachu: [gasps] PIKA!
Lucario: [growls]
Dracovish: [shocked] DRACO?!
Cat Noir: Uh, I think our problem just got a whole lot bigger.
Raccoon Ash: What'll we do now?!
Gamer: Level 3. [laughs evilly] Hahahahahaha!
Team Rocket: [laugh cunningly]
Hawk Moth: If you want to be the most powerful robot in the world, you must capture Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses. Then it really will be Game Over.
Jessie: And don't forget Pikachu!
Hawk Moth: Ah, yes! And bring me the boy!
Gamer: Those Miraculouses are mine!
Raccoon Ash: I think that's our cue to beat feet and retreat!
Ladybug: Couldn't have put it better!
The Gamer started attacking, Ash, Ladybug and Cat Noir. He swung his robot arm and fired lasers at them, but they ran away.
Raccoon Ash: Lucario, Aura Sphere!
Lucario: [Aura Sphere move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
That did damage on the Gamer's robot while Ladybug and Cat Noir leapt from rooftop to rooftop with Lucario while Ash gilded with Pikachu on his shoulder!
Dracovish: [running; trying to jump high] DRACO! DRACOVISH!
Ladybug: Um, Ash? What's up with Dracovish?
Raccoon Ash: Uh oh! Dracovish can't jump that high!
Ladybug: Are you kidding me?!
Cat Noir: You'd better return it before it becomes energized!
Raccoon Ash: Right! [pulls out Dracovish's PokéBall] Dracovish, [returns it] return!
Ladybug: We have to get him out of here before he destroys all of Paris!
Raccoon Ash: But where do you suggest we go?
Ladybug got a good look at a billboard for the tournament being held at the stadium!
Ladybug Cat Noir: The stadium!
Raccoon Ash: The stadium?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Lucario: MRAH?
Raccoon Ash: Why there?
Ladybug: It's the perfect place to hold a robot that big! He wants to be in the tournament? Request granted!
Raccoon Ash: Have you forgotten that the tournament is why he's so angry and driven with dark power in first place?!
Ladybug: Just trust me, Ash! Let's go!
Raccoon Ash: Right behind you!
The three heroes and the two Pokémon made their way towards the stadium!
["Who's That Pokémon?" time]
[as a magnifying glass shows a red and blue body with Pikachu standing next to it with a PokéBall]
Ash and Marinette: Who's that Pokémon?

[The Pokémon reveals to be Porygon-Z]
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Porygon-Z: PORYGON!

Our heroes had arrived at the stadium!
Raccoon Ash: Okay! Now what?
Ladybug: Not sure! Where's Clunky got to?
Raccoon Ash: Got me?
The Gamer's robot appeared behind them!
Raccoon Ash: Do we dare to look behind us?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
They nervously turned their heads and saw Gamer was right behind them!
Ladybug and Cat Noir threw their yo-yo and staff at him to try to defeat the robot, but did it didn't work!
Gamer: Hahahaha!
Raccoon Ash: Your weapons are useless against that thing! And neither is Pikachu's Thunderbolt! What're we gonna do?!
Cat Noir: Last I checked, Lucario's attacks did a number on it!
Raccoon Ash: But it's not enough!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKACHU!
Raccoon Ash: What we need is to fight robot with robot!
The Gamer's robot brought down its fist to smash them, but they managed to dodge!
Ladybug: I'm all good for a robot, Ash! But unless there's one that can appear out of nowhere, we're out of luck!
The robot to began to fire its laser, making the heroes run away from it!
Ladybug: [to Cat Noir] Attack the robot with your Cataclysm Power! It might be enough to shock him!
Raccoon Ash: Of course! Why didn't I think of that before?
Cat Noir: My pleasure. Two can play this game. Cataclysm!
Then, Cat Noir's hand glowed a black bubbly energy!
Raccoon Ash: Lucario, use Double Team!
Lucario: [Double Team move] MRAH RAH RAH RAH!
Gamer: [gasps]
Raccoon Ash: Now, run circles around him!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Lucario and Clones: [running around the Gamer's robot] MRAH RAH RAH MRAH RAH!
Gamer: [growls]
Then, Cat Noir slammed his paw onto the robot, destroying it!
Gamer: Nooooo!
Then, Gamer fell from the air and landed on his bottom!
Raccoon Ash: Game over, Gamer!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Lucario: MRAH!
Ladybug: Smackdown, [as she, him, and Ash share a big high five] Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: Cat Noir Style! Booyah!
Raccoon Ash: Now for his Akuma! And his PokéBall!
Cat Noir: PokéBall? What PokéBall?
Raccoon Ash: A PokéBall from Team Rocket's Rocket Prize Master! In other words, Hawk Moth and Team Rocket are in cahoots!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Lucario: MRAH RAH!
Cat Noir: Say what?!
Raccoon Ash: It's true!
Cat Noir: You've gotta be kidding me?!
Raccoon Ash: I know! Believe me!
Out of thin air, a floating red sphere appeared and landed between them.
Raccoon Ash: [gasps in awe]
Pikachu: [gasps in awe] PIKA!
Lucario: [gasps in awe] MRAH!
Cat Noir: Whoa ha ha! Check out that loot!
Raccoon Ash: Me thinks after defeating Gamer's mech, we might just get something too!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ladybug: System crash, Gamer!
Raccoon Ash: Game over!
Gamer: Hahahaha! You've forgotten the rules. I saved my last level!
Raccoon Ash: Say what now?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Lucario: MRAH?!
With a touch of his glasses, his robot respawned, even stronger than before!
Gamer: Respawn!
Raccoon Ash: Oh, come on!
Pikachu: [shocked] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [shocked] MRAH?!
Cat Noir: Aww, not the old spawn point glitch again.
Ladybug: Yeah, but did you see he pushed that button on his glasses?
Raccoon Ash: Yeah, I did! You don't mean...
Ladybug: I do. I bet the Akuma's in there.
Raccoon Ash: Well, what are you waiting for?! Grab the orb! Grab the orb!
Ladybug: Right!
Ladybug touched the red sphere and a red and black robot appeared! It seemed to resemble a fusion between Ladybug and Cat Noir!
Raccoon Ash: Whahohoa! Now that's what I call a mech! [eyes sparkle in amazement] So awesome!
Pikachu: [eyes sparkle in amazement] PIKACHU!
Lucario: [impressed] MRAH!
Ladybug and Cat Noir jumped onto the robot!
Ladybug: Ha! We've leveled up too!
Cat Noir: [as his Miraculous beeps] Okay, but I only got a few minutes left.
Raccoon Ash: Don't worry, Cat! We'll beat him in less than that!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Raccoon Ash: Let's kick some bot!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKA PIKACHU!
Lucario: [determined] MRAH RAH!
Ladybug: Let's do this!
Ladybug and Cat Noir entered their robot's cockpit!
Ladybug: You getting in, Ash?
Raccoon Ash: No thanks! Think I'll attack from above!
Ladybug: If you say so!
Raccoon Ash: Pikachu, get on my back!
Pikachu: [climbs on] PIKA!
Raccoon Ash: Lucario, jump onto the robot!
Lucario: [jumps onto the good guys' mech] MRAH!
Ladybug: You good up there, Lucario?
Lucario: [nods; affirmative] MRAH!
Raccoon Ash: [takes out a PokéBall and tosses it] Dracovish, I choose you!
Dracovish: [appears] DRACOVISH!
Cat Noir: I'll man it, you shoot!
Ladybug: Why do you get to man it?
Cat Noir: What do you say we flip for it?
Raccoon Ash: Now's not the time, you two! Just take turns!
Lucario: [impatient] MRAH RAH RAH!
Cat Noir: Well, why don't you get in here and man this mech and we shoot?
Raccoon Ash: I don't know the first thing about robots! Let alone drive one!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Cat Noir: Then that settles it! I'm driving!
Ladybug and Cat Noir start controlling the robot, but the Gamer's robot flew in and sent it flying across the stadium with a huge punch.
Lucario: [all good] MRAH!
Raccoon Ash: [cringes] Ooh. That's gotta hurt!
Pikachu: [cringes] PIKACHU!
Dracovish: [surprised] DRACO!
Ladybug: [groans] Lucario, are you okay up there?
Lucario: [gives a thumbs up] MRAH!
Cat Noir: Okay, you man it and I'll fire.
Raccoon Ash: Good plan! Now, get back in there and fight!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: You got it! [sees the Gamer's robot attacking] Look out! Here it comes again...
The Gamer's robot got on top of theirs and started punching it repeatedly!
Raccoon Ash: Oh, nobody messes with my hero buddies [pulls out a Fire Flower] and gets away with it!
[powers up]
[WHOMP WHOMP WHOMP!]
Fire Raccoon Ash: The heat is on! [launches fireballs from his fingertips]
Since the Gamer's robot wasn't fireproof, this did major damage!
Gamer: Hey! Cut that out!
Fire Raccoon Ash: This is what you get when you mess with my friends! Pikachu, Electroweb!
Pikachu: [Electroweb move] PIKA! PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA... CHU-PIKA!
An electric net was thrown on top of the Gamer's mech!
Gamer: You simple-minded fool! [as his mech absorbs the electricity from the Electroweb] Have you forgotten that with this mech, I can absorb your feeble electric attacks!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Oh, I knew that! I was only distracting you!
Gamer: Distracting me?
Ladybug: Don't let it go to your head! [uses a rocket punch] Booster!
That hit Gamer's mech hard! The punch knocked off the head of the Gamer's robot!
Fire Raccoon Ash: A knockout!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Lucario: MRAH!
The Gamer ran to his robot's head, putting it back on!
Gamer: Hahahahaha! Huh?
Ladybug made the mech do a handstand and a spin!
Ladybug: Round two, Gamer.
Fire Raccoon Ash: And 3... 2... 1... GO!
Gamer: Arrrghhh... Pyra-Missiles!
His robot shot missiles out of its shoulders!
Fire Raccoon Ash: [shoots fireballs from his fingertips]
That did damage, but the missiles were still heading towards Ladybug and Cat Noir's mech!
Ladybug: Forcefield, Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: Got it. Forcefield activated!
That brought up a forcefield! The forcefield blocked the missiles and destroyed them!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Alright! Lucario, use Aura Sphere!
Lucario: [jumps up; Aura Sphere move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
That did more damage to Gamer's mech!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Dracovish, use Fishious Rend!
Ladybug: Fishious Rend?
Dracovish: [Fishious Rend move] DRACO...VISH!
Dracovish's signature move left a huge slash across one of the legs!
Gamer: My leg! Not again!
Fire Raccoon Ash: That never gets old!
Cat Noir: Cat Saber!
Cat Noir took the robot's tail off and was now using it as a saber!
Fire Raccoon Ash: With a touch of fire! [launches fireballs from his fingertips]
The Gamer's robot jumped high and dodged!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Hey!
Gamer: Pyra-Drill!
His robot's arm activated as a drill, and charged down towards Ladybug and Cat Noir's robot!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Uh oh!
Their robot used its forcefield to block it, but the Gamer's drill arm was too powerful and broke through!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Oh no!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKACHU!
Dracovish: [worried] DRACOVISH!
Lucario: [stumbles] MRAH!
Cat Noir: This Gamer's way powerful. He just took out our forcefield!
Ladybug: We're gonna have to manage without. Lucario, are you still okay up there?
Lucario: [nods; affirmative] MRAH!
Fire Raccoon Ash: We're not done yet, Gamer!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking wildly; agreeing] PIKACHU!
Gamer: I figured as such! Which is why I'm now bringing out your mini boss! Porygon-Z, to battle!
His robot's arm launched out Porygon-Z's PokéBall!
Porygon-Z: [appearing; beeping] PORY PORY PORYGON!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Porygon-Z again!
Pikachu: [defensive] PIKACHU!
Cat Noir: Hey! That's cheating!
Ladybug: Using a Pokémon in an Ultra Mecha Strike Match is against the rules! And we don't even have any on us! For now!
Fire Raccoon Ash: I got this! Pikachu, Quick Attack! Lucario, Force Palm! Dracovish, Ice Fang!
Pikachu: [Quick Attack move] PIKA!
Lucario: [Force Palm move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
Dracovish: [Ice Fang move] DRA...CO!
Porygon-Z: [hit by all three attacks] POR!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Alright!

Then, it created a bizarre area!

Fire Raccoon Ash: Porygon-Z just used Trick Room! This makes slower Pokémon attack first!
Cat Noir: That might be an advantage for Dracovish!
Gamer: [gasps]
Hawk Moth: [from his lair] Gamer, you fool! You just gave the boy's dragon and fish hybrid an advantage!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Go, Dracovish! Use Ice Fang!
Dracovish: [Ice Fang move] DRACOVISH!
Porygon-Z: [hit] PORY!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Lucario, back-to-back Force Palm!

Fire Raccoon Ash: Time for the final boss!
Ladybug: Lady Bombs!
Then, Ladybug shot ladybug-patterned bombs out of the robot's shoulders!
Gamer: Laser Wall!
A green laser wall appeared and blocked the Lady Bombs!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Try my fireballs! [shoots fireballs from his fingertips]
This left burn marks on the Gamer's robot!
Gamer: That's hot!
Fire Raccoon Ash: [smirks; blows his fingertips]
Ladybug: Lady Helix!
Their robot's two shields fly over to the Gamer's robot, but his robot blocked them!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Try it again, Ladybug!
Cat Noir: I've got this one, bud! Punch!
The robot's fists flew over to the Gamer's robot, but his robot separated itself in order to avoid the attack!
Fire Raccoon Ash: WHAT?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Lucario: MRAH?!
Dracovish: DRACO?!
Cat Noir: Ear Thunder!
Then, the robot's two cat ears made thunder, but the Gamer's robot blocked it with its own thunder!
Fire Raccoon Ash: How is this even possible?!
Ladybug: He's anticipating all of our attacks!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Say what now?!
Ladybug: Since he knows this game so well, he'll always know our next move!
Cat Noir: Watch out, Ladybug!
The Gamer's robot charged at them, and the two robots began to fight!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Come on, guys! Bust his boiler! Er, I mean his bolts! Uh, I mean his circuitry! Er, I mean... Aw, just take 'im down!
Pikachu: [cheering] PIKA PIKACHU!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Give 'im the Twister Punch!
Ladybug: Got it! Twister Punch!
With a quick toss into the air and a spinning hand, Ladybug and Cat Noir's mech gave Gamer's mech a Twister Punch!
Gamer: [grunts] How is that even a move?!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Because I came up with it! Got it from some sailor man whose diet is a dark green, leafy vegetable!
Pikachu: PIKA!

Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Gamer: [growls angrily]
Fire Raccoon Ash: Okay, guys! Try doing a Mega Punch!
Ladybug: Mega...
Cat Noir: PUNCH!
That hit Gamer's mech hard!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Looks like my tactics can be downloaded into their mech just from saying it!
Ladybug: No kidding!
The two robots engaged in combat once again, with Ladybug and Cat Noir's robot unleashing a kick, while the Gamer's robot unleashed a double punch!
Gamer: Gamer Fire!
His robot fired a blast of energy, appeared next to Ladybug and Cat Noir's robot, and pushed their robot into the energy orb.
Lucario: [pained] MRAH RAH RAH!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Oh no!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKACHU!
Then, his robot fired an eye beam to their robot!
Ladybug: [exclaiming]
Lucario: [pained] MRAH!
Fire Raccoon Ash: NO!
Gamer: Hahahahaha! Today I shall be victorious!
Fire Raccoon Ash: [growls] I'll stop you, Gamer!
Before Ash could make another attack, a faint glow from his pocket occurred! His Dynamax Band was glowing!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Huh?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Fire Raccoon Ash: [pulls out his Dynamax Band] My Dynamax Band. It's glowing. But why here? [gasps] Does this mean... [looks at Pikachu, who was thinking the same thing]
Pikachu: [nods; saying they have to try] PIKA PI! PIKACHU!
Fire Raccoon Ash: You're right, buddy! We've got to try!
Gamer: [chuckles evilly] You're finished! Pyra-Missiles!
Fire Raccoon Ash: [with Pikachu on his hands] Not today, Gamer! [as his Dynamax Band glowed and sent energy into Pikachu] Let's get huge! [tosses Pikachu into the air] Go, Gigantamax!
Ladybug and Cat Noir: Huh?
[Dynamax theme]
Pikachu: [leaping into the air] PIKA!
Then, Pikachu started to change form as began to grow! It became larger and chubbier. Its tail became longer and had started to glow a bright yellow. And three red clouds float around the tail.
Pikachu (Gigantamax): PIKACHU!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Alright! It worked!
Ladybug: [wide-eyed in shock] Did Pikachu just...
Cat Noir: [wide-eyed in shock] Turn into a colossal giant?!
Gamer: [shocked] That's impossible!
Team Rocket: [from Hawk Moth's lair] Oh no!
Hawk Moth could not believe what he was seeing!
Hawk Moth: [gasps] What IS that?!
Jessie: The twerp just used Gigantamax!
Hawk Moth: Giganta-what?! Explain!
James: Dynamax and Gigantamax are a phenomenon that occurs in the Galar Region where Pokémon grow to gigantic size and they either change form or stay the same!
Meowth: Pikachu's one of dem who can Gigantamax! It's able to use one of those special G-Max moves, ya dig?
Hawk Moth: [growls] Dispose of them, Gamer, or else you can bid farewell to your title as champion!
Gamer: With pleasure, Hawk Moth! Pyra-Missiles!
A swarm of Pyra-Missiles were launched from the robot's shoulders towards Pikachu!
Fire Raccoon Ash: You can take that hit, Pikachu!
Pikachu (Gigantamax): [determined] PIKA!
Pikachu took that hit and was unfazed!
Gamer: [gasps] But how?!
Fire Raccoon Ash: It'll take more than that to stop Gigantamax Pikachu! Now, Pikachu, use Max Steelspike!
Pikachu (Gigantamax): [Max Steelspike move] CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...PIKA!
Gigantamax Pikachu's tail glows white. It then grabs its tail and slams it into the ground, creating a series of gray spikes that extend forward and strike the Gamer's mech.
Gamer: [hit] GUWHOA!
Ladybug: [gasps in awe] Wow!
Cat Noir: That was wicked!
Pikachu (Gigantamax): [helps Ladybug and Cat Noir's robot up] PIKA!
Ladybug: Thanks, Pikachu!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Are you two alright?
Cat Noir: We are now!
Ladybug: Yeah! Thanks to you and Gigantamax Pikachu!
Pikachu (Gigantamax): PIKACHU!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Well, now, [pulls out a Fire Flower] I think it's time for you to receive a power boost too! [tosses it] Catch!
Once their robot caught it, it gained white with its red and black color scheme, and it also gained flame decals!
[BWOM BWOM BWOM!]
Ladybug: Whoa!
Cat Noir: Sweet power up!
Gamer: Hey! Using power ups is cheating!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Too bad we aren't playing by your rules, Gamer! We're playing by hero rules now! Pikachu, use Max Strike!
Pikachu (Gigantamax): [Max Strike move] PIKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Gigantamax Pikachu jumps into the air, creating yellow glowing cracks on the ground as it lands. The cracks spread towards the opponent, and as they reach them, a burst of yellow energy erupts from the ground underneath the Gamer's robot.
Gamer: [hit] WAHOA!
Cat Noir: Strike!
Ladybug: You mean "Max Strike"!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Now, show him what Fire Flower power can do!
Pikachu (Gigantamax): PIKA PIKACHU!
Ladybug: Right!
Cat Noir: You got it!
Ladybug: [as their robot's fist flares up] FIRE PUNCH!
Gamer: [hit] GUH!
Cat Noir: [as their robot's leg flares up] Blaze Kick!
Gamer: [hit] AUGH!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Now, do an Ember attack!
Ladybug: Ember!
That made their mech's hand turn into a gun and it fired multiple fireballs at Gamer's mech!
Gamer: Ow! Hot!
Fire Raccoon Ash: And now for the grand finale! Prepare an Overheat!
Ladybug: Charging up for an Overheat!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Pikachu, help buy time for Ladybug and Cat Noir! Use your grand finale! G-Max Volt Crash!
Gamer: No! This mech wasn't designed to handle electricity of this kind of output!
Pikachu (Gigantamax): [G-Max Volt Crash move] PIKA...CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
Gigantamax Pikachu fires a bolt of yellow electricity into the clouds above it. Moments later, multiple bolts of lightning shaped like its tail strike down from the clouds onto the Gamer's robot.
Gamer: [hit] GUWAH!
Hawk Moth: [from his lair] That's impossible! It's supposed to be electricity proof!
Meowth: G-Max Volt Crash is more powerful than any other electric attack a Pokémon can use!
Wobbuffet: WOBBU WOB!
The G-Max Volt Crash managed to overload the system in Gamer's mech, causing it to shut down!
Gamer: [gasps in horror] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!
Pikachu: [shrinking back down to normal size] PIKACHU!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Looks like time's up!
Cat Noir: Already?! We need another G-Max Volt Crash! That should put Sir Blocks-A-Lot out of order!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Sorry, Cat Noir! Dynamax and Gigantamax only last for three turns!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Cat Noir: Aw, man! And they say three's a magic number!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Don't worry! Gamer's robot is probably in critical condition now! Launch more attacks while you have the chance!
Ladybug: Good idea!
Gamer: [pressing buttons] Rebooting, rebooting!
Ladybug and Cat Noir's robot charged up a blast of energy using its fists!
Cat Noir: [fires it at the Gamer's robot] Catouken!
Ladybug and Cat Noir's robot grabbed and slammed the Gamer's robot to the ground, but the Gamer's robot disintegrated and formed again, still standing!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Rats! It's still up! [to Ladybug] What percentage is the Overheat cannon?
Ladybug: Only 25%!
Fire Raccoon Ash: We need more time!
Gamer: I am the strongest player in the world! Hahahaha!
Fire Raccoon Ash: That's what you think, Gamer! Lucario, Force Palm!
Lucario: [Force Palm move] MRRRRRRRRRRRAH RAH MRAH!
Gamer: [hit] GUH!
Cat Noir: How are we supposed to beat him if we can't even catch him?
Ladybug: We have to beat him harder and jam the system!
Fire Raccoon Ash: That Overheat cannon should do the trick! We just need more time!
Ladybug: And more time we'll have! Tatsu-Lady! [kicks the robot with a spinning kick]
Cat Noir: Catouken! [fires a blast of energy at the robot]
Gamer: Gamer Crusher! [spins at Ladybug and Cat Noir's robot, but they dodge]
Ladybug: Shoryubug! [does a Shoryuken at the Gamer's robot]
Fire Raccoon Ash: Pikachu, Iron Tail! Dracovish, Fishious Rend!
Pikachu: [Iron Tail move] CHUUUUUUUUUUUUU...PIKA!
Dracovish: [Fishious Rend move] DRACO...VISH!
His legs were hit by Iron Tail while his arms took damage from Fishious Rend.
Cat Noir: Catouken! [fires a blast of energy at the robot, knocking it down]
The Gamer's robot stood up, and the two robots began to fight hard!
Fire Raccoon Ash: What's the Overheat cannon at now?
Cat Noir: It's at 85%!
Fire Raccoon Ash: [growls in frustration] We still need more time!
Ladybug: Actually, we've gotta get inside his cockpit!
Cat Noir: Go for it. You're in charge!
Ladybug: Take the controls, Cat Noir. [climbs up] I'll be right back.
Cat Noir: Right back? Where are you going?!
Ladybug: [gets out of the cockpit] Ash, follow my lead!
Fire Raccoon Ash: I don't know what you're planning, but I trust you!
Ladybug: It's just us four now, Gamer!
Fire Raccoon Ash: We're gonna win this battle!
Pikachu: [agreeing determinedly] PIKA PIKA!
Gamer: What are they...
Ladybug: [users her power; tosses her yo-yo into the air] Lucky Charm!
And the lucky charm today was a graffiti can!
Ladybug: [catches her Lucky Charm] Huh? Graffiti? Spray paint? Arts and crafts?
Fire Raccoon Ash: You plan on making a painting?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Dracovish: DRACO?
That was when Ladybug's Lucky Vision kicked in!
Pikachu, Lucario, the robot's left arm, and eye flashed in a ladybug pattern!
Ladybug: Bingo.
Fire Raccoon Ash: You have a plan?
Ladybug: I do! I'm gonna need Lucario and Pikachu to use Reversal and Electroweb!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Say no more! [to Lucario] You heard her, Lucario! Use Reversal!
Lucario: [Reversal move] MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAH!
Lucario's Reversal managed to destroy one of the robot's shoulder cannons!
Gamer: [gasps in horror]
Ladybug ran to the Gamer's robot. She reached its eye and sprayed graffiti on it!
Gamer: Aghhh! You won't get away with this!
As soon as he got out of his cockpit, Ash pounced!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Quick, Pikachu! Electroweb!
Pikachu: [Electroweb move] PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA...CHU-PIKA!
The Electroweb was launched on top of Gamer!
Gamer: Hey!
Fire Raccoon Ash: [grabs his glasses] Yoink!
Cat Noir: Overheat cannon is fully charged!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Fire away, Cat!
Cat Noir: Over...HEAT!
Then, a powerful Overheat was fired from the arm cannon at Gamer's mech!
Gamer: [gasps]
[explosion]
When the smoke cleared, half of the Gamer's robot was charred black and no longer able to function!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Game over, Gamer! [holds up the glasses] And game over for you too, little Akuma! [breaks them as the Akuma flies out of them] Do your thing, Ladybug!
Ladybug: [opens her yo-yo and spins it around] Time to de-evilize! [catches the Akuma] Gotcha! [releases it as a purified butterfly] Bye bye, little butterfly! [tosses her Lucky Charm into the air] Miraculous Ladybug!
Everything was restored, with the people returning, the two robots disappearing, and the Gamer turning back into Max!
Max: What am I doing here?
Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Fire Raccoon Ash: [fist bump] Pound it!
Pikachu: [joining in] PIKA!
Lucario: [joining in] MRAH!
Dracovish: [not sure how to do a fist bump] DRACO?
Pikachu: [sweat drops; smiles awkwardly] PIKACHU.
Lucario: [sweat drops] MRAH RAH.
Ladybug: How about we do a high-fin for Dracovish?
Cat Noir: Sounds good!
Fire Raccoon Ash: I agree!
Then, they each gave Dracovish a high-fin!
Dracovish: [happy] DRACOVISH!
Cat Noir: That made it happy!
Ladybug: [chuckles] Clearly!
That's when Ash heard their Miraculouses beep!
Fire Raccoon Ash: Uh oh! Guess that's your cue to bug out!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: You're right! See you soon, Ash! [swings away on her yo-yo]
Cat Noir: Catch ya later, buddy! [leaps away]
Fire Raccoon Ash: [sees the Team Rocket PokéBall] Oh! I almost forgot this one little detail! [stomps in the PokéBall, breaking it into a million pieces] Now that Porygon-Z is living free and in the wild! [to his Pokémon] Come on, guys! Let's go home!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA!
And so, Ash returned Lucario and Dracovish while Pikachu jumped onto his shoulder, and Ash took flight! Back at Hawk Moth's lair, the villains weren't happy of their latest failure!
Hawk Moth: Such pitiful insolence! The moment you challenge me is the moment you seal your fate! This battle is not yet over...
But then, he smirked about Ash!
Hawk Moth: But now I see why you three are so fixated on the boy's Pikachu more than any other Pokémon! It has quite the potential!
Team Rocket: Got that right! [chuckles sinisterly]
Hawk Moth: Enjoy your freedom while it lasts, young man. I WILL find out the secrets behind your power! [as the window of his lair closes]
Back at the bakery, Ash and Marinette were in the said girl's room, discussing what happened with Pikachu.
Marinette: Wow! I can't believe I actually witnessed Pikachu doing Gigantamax without even going into a PokéBall! That was amazing!
Ash: Thanks, Marinette!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Marinette: But I do have one question!
Ash: What's that?
Marinette: How were you able to Gigantamax Pikachu here when it only happens in your world?
Popplio: POP?
That was when they both thought the same thing!
Ash and Marinette: Arceus!
Tikki: That could possibly be the reason why!
Ash: Well, Arceus would do anything to help!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: That's true! Especially when it comes to his friends!
Ash: Yeah! Oh, speaking of friends, do you reckon we should go check on Max?
Marinette: I think he's probably gone back home to cool off a bit before the tournament starts in the next hour!
Ash: Speaking of the tournament, I think I know how you can make Max feel better and have him be in the tournament again! So, how about- [whispers his idea into her ear]
Marinette liked the sound of that, but that would mean she wouldn't get to play with Adrien!
Ash: I know what you're thinking! But it's the right thing to do! Especially for your good friend, Max!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Marinette: You're right! He deserves this spot in the tournament!
Ash: Atta girl, Marinette!
Pikachu: [happy] PIKA!
Popplio: [giving the controller to one of Marinette's stuffed animals] POP! [claps] POP POP POP!
Ash: [chuckles] Would you look at that!
Marinette: Aww! That is just too cute!
Popplio: [smiles] POPPLIO!
Marinette: You know, this reminds me! [to Ash] You want me to teach you a few things in Ultra Mecha Strike III?
Ash: Sure! I'd like to learn a thing or two from the expert player!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Marinette: Awesome! [to Popplio] Popplio, can mommy have the controller?
Popplio: [grabs the controller with her mouth] POP! [gives it to her mother] POPPLIO!
Marinette: [takes the controller] Thank you, Popplio!
Popplio: [claps] POP POP!
Marinette: Ready to play, Ash?
Ash: If I'm gonna learn a lot of new things while in this world, I best start with learning how to play a video game!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: Then, let's do it! But just so you know, I won't go easy on you!
Ash: I never planned on you to!
Marinette chose the robot, LB-03, which looks like a ladybug, but Ash was having trouble deciding which robot he should be!
Ash: Hmm...
Marinette: Don't know which mech to choose?
Ash: [shakes his head] Uh-uh!
That was when Marinette saw a mech that sort of resembled Pikachu!
Marinette: Huh?! No way!
Ash: What? What is it?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Marinette: Look at that mech!
Ash: [looks at it; gasps] Whoa! It looks like Pikachu!
Pikachu: [awed] PIKACHU!
Ash: Well, no questions about it! I'm going with the Pika-Mech!
Marinette: Good choice! And I think it's called "PIKA2"!
Ash: That's even better! PIKA2!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Announcer: Three, two, one, GO!
Then, their video game match began!
Ash: Thunderbolt!
That made Ash's mech do a Thunderbolt!
Marinette: [grunting; button mashing]
Ash: I think I'm getting the hang of this!
Marinette: Clearly!
That was when Ash came up with his combo move!
Ash: Iron Tail Triple Spin Smash!
That made PIKA2's tail glow white and it did a triple spin making it hit Marinette's LB-03 multiple times and then came the final smash, knocking out LB-03!
Marinette: [gasps]
Popplio: [gasps] POP!
Ash: Wow! I did it! I won! Not bad for a rookie! Eh, Marinette?
Marinette: Not bad! Not bad at all! I'm even more impressed about that Iron Tail Triple Spin Smash you came up with!
Ash: [chuckles] I got the Triple Spin part from some fast blue hedgehog!
Pikachu: [smiles] PIKACHU!
Marinette: [giggles] I see! Well, [shakes hands with Ash] Good game, Ash!
Ash: Likewise, Marinette! But I did have an awesome teacher!
Popplio: [shakes Pikachu's paw] POPPLIO!
Pikachu: [shakes Popplio's flipper; smiles] PIKACHU!
Ash: See, Marinette? You're being a good role model for Popplio!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Marinette: I guess I am!
Then, Marinette took the baby Sea Lion Pokémon into her arms!
Marinette: As a mom, it's the right thing to do!
Popplio: POP!
Marinette: [hugs Popplio] And I love my baby girl!
Popplio: [happy] POP!
Rotom Phone: You have received one new message from Juleka!
Ash: Oh! It's Juleka!
Juleka (text): Hey, babe.
Ash: [texts] Hey, Jules!
Juleka (text): Where are you? The tournament is about to start soon.
Ash: [texts] Just getting ready! Don't worry! I'll be there pretty soon!
Juleka (text): I hope so. I want us to snuggle.
Ash: [chuckles; texts] Same here!
Marinette: Juleka wants to be with you right now, huh?
Ash: [nods] Mhm!
Marinette: It's about that time for the tournament to start soon anyway! Why don't we get going?
Ash: Good idea! [texts] I'm on my way, Jules!
Juleka (text): I'll be waiting, babe. 😘
Ash: [blushes; giggles]
Marinette: [picks up Popplio] Now, let's get going!
Ash: Okay! Last one there is a rotten [rushes out the trapdoor first] Exeggcute!
Marinette: Hey! [follows in pursuit] No fair, Ash! You started off first!
Popplio: [pouts] POP POP!
Ash: [laughs]
Marinette: You know, I can't help but wonder, what happened to Porygon-Z?
Ash: Who knows! All I know is that it's out of Team Rocket's clutches and living free and in the wild!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Marinette: Yeah!
Ash: You may not be able to play with Adrien in the tournament, but hopefully, if his father allows it, you can invite him over more often! [smirks] He was very impressed by your gaming skills!
Pikachu: [giggles] PIKA PIKACHU!
Marinette: True! As long as you don't try anything!
Ash: [innocently] Who? Me?
Marinette: [raises an eyebrow]
Ash: Marinette, I would never!
Marinette: [rolls her eyes] Riiiiight.
Ash: Just that Popplio might have a new daddy one day!
Popplio: POP?
Marinette: [blushes bright red] ASH KETCHUM!
Ash: Kidding, kidding! Come on! Let's get going!
Marinette: Right behind you!
Soon, at the Parc des Princes. The gaming tournament is about to start.
Announcer: So remember, the High Score to beat is 24500, so gamers, hit those consoles. Game on!
Alya: You bent over backwards to be in the team and now you wanna pull out?
Marinette: It's just that I feel so bad for Max. And well, it just wouldn't be right.
Ash: Yeah!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Alya: [stops her] You're doing the right thing. But honestly, it's not like you get the chance to play with Adrien everyday...
Marinette: [to Max] ...Max? I've thought about this a lot, and...
Announcer: And now, representing Françoise Dupont High School...
Marinette: Well, I think you should be playing tonight, Max.
Max: What?
Ash: She said, "I think you should be playing tonight, Max!"
Marinette: Don't get me wrong! I love gaming, but it's not my heart and soul. This is your baby. It's your tournament, Max. I don't wanna take that away from you.
Nino: Dudes, make up your minds. They're waiting for you. [as Ash elbows him]
Marinette: I insist! [gives Max the controller]
Max: I don't know how to thank you.
Adrien: By winning the tournament... with her.
Adrien then walked over to Marinette by putting his hand on her right shoulder and she is shocked and he gives his controller to her!
Marinette: Huh?
Adrien: Go on, Marinette. You're a hundred times better than me. You belong on the team. Win the tournament for the school. I know you can do it.
Alya: [facepalms]
Ash: Well, [whispers to Pikachu] a shoulder touch is better than nothing.
Nino: Go on, dudes! They're waiting for you! [takes her by the shoulder]
Marinette: No, uh, I... only with you?
Max: Let's show them who's gold.
Marinette: [nods]
She and Max enter the gates as the other students cheer them on.
Ash: Yeah! Go get 'em, Marinette!
Pikachu: [cheering] PIKACHU!
Popplio: [claps] POP POP POP POP!
Marinette: By the way, I had a match with Ash earlier, and he's quite skilled in this game!
Max: Is he now? I'll have to play against him some time!
Ash: Challenge accepted, Max! But I expect that you won't hold back!
Max: I don't plan on it!
While Marinette and Max went in, Juleka hugged Ash's arm!
Juleka: And I'll cheer for you, babe!
Ash: [chuckles] Thanks, Jules!
Juleka: Do you think maybe, I don't know...
Ash: Teach you some of my gaming skills? Jules, I'd be more than happy to! You know I'd do anything for you!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Juleka: Thanks, babe. [kisses Ash on the lips]
And Ash returned it with equal passion! The scene ends with Marinette and Max winning the tournament, while their friends, the teacher, and principal cheered for them, and Ash and Max playing a round of Ultimate Mecha Strike III, with Ash emerging victorious, leaving Max in complete shock and awe by his skill!
