Narrator: Ash's goal is to battle one of the world's greatest Trainers, Leon! Goh's goal is to catch one of every kind of Pokémon, including Mew! This is the story of their adventure-filled journey through the world of Pokémon!
A scene then shows Ash, Goh, and all their Pokémon taking a group photo. A TV show known as "The Challenge" was being broadcasted at the TVi news studio.
Alec: Welcome back to everyone's #1 live game show: The Challenge! Let's give it up for our awesome contestant, Nino!
Then, Nino entered the stage!
Alec: So Nino, you're a student and a DJ. That's pretty awesome! Check out the decks we got for you!
One of the stage hands brought a DJ set to the stage! At the Dupain-Cheng residence, Tom and Sabine were having a talk with their daughter, Marinette, in the living room, where she was joined by Ash and Pikachu.
Marinette: Grounded? For what?!
Ash: What ever she did, I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for it!
Tom: Let's jog your memory, Marinette. Monday morning, absent from P.E...
(Shows a flashback of Ladybug saving a helicopter)
Marinette: I was in study hall.
Tom: Friday evening, absent from study hall.
(Shows a flashback of Ladybug saving a kitten from a tree)
Marinette: I was at P.E.!
Tom: You're never where you're supposed to be, Marinette! The only way we can keep track of you is by keeping you here, grounded.
Marinette: But I was invited... Nino is my friend, he was counting on me.
Ash: Invited to what?
Marinette: To that TV show called "The Challenge"!
Ash: Oh man! I was so caught up in my special training for the World Coronation Series that I forgot all about it!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Ash: I wonder if I still have time!
Alec: So, the challenge the viewers have chosen for you is... To get the mayor of Paris, André Bourgeois, to dance! Thank you for agreeing to play with us today, sir. What are Nino's chances tonight?
André: [on the screen] Zero. I despise dancing. The last time I set foot on a dance floor, Madonna was in kindergarten.
Tom: I know Nino's your friend. But until your unexcused absences come to an end, that's the way it's going to be.
Marinette: [sad] Awesome.
Popplio: [sad; asking Tom "Grandpa? Is Mama in trouble?"] POP POP? POPPLIO POP POP?
Tom: I'm afraid so, Popplio.
Popplio: [whimpers] POPPLIO.
Then, Marinette went up to her room and Ash followed!
Marinette: [sits in her chair; groans]
Tikki: Can you blame them? How are they supposed to know that you're missing class to save the world?
Ash: She has a point, Marinette! Nobody can know you're Ladybug! Besides me!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Marinette: I guess being grounded comes with the territory of being a top secret superhero. Doesn't seem fair though.
Popplio: [pouts] POP POP.
Tikki: It's not. But hey, if Nino wins, you're not grounded next week. You can go see him at the show!
Ash: Oh yeah! That's right!
Marinette: Yeah, but Adrien was there today!
Ash: Oh yeah. Good point.
Pikachu: PIKA.
Then, Marinette turned on her computer, which showed Nino DJing!
Ash: Oh! I better get going! I was asked by Nadja to be a special guest on his show!
Marinette: Wait! You were?!
Ash: Yeah! Ever since I became super popular and celebrity-like from making that collaboration with Jagged Koffing and the Toxic Stones, I'd been asked to be in a few or so shows on TV!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Tikki: No kidding?
Ash: No kidding, Tikki! Heck, they've even gave me an opportunity to do a live talk show about me talking to people about Pokémon and answering their questions about them!
Tikki: [gasps in shock and awe]
Ash: I know, right? And also, [pulls out a check] check out this check that I got from Bob after the huge success of the collaboration! It's for a quarter million dollars!
Marinette: [shocked] Q-Q-QUARTER MILLION DOLLARS?!
Ash: As in $250,000! I was just as shocked as you are now! Just think of the many things I can probably get or do with this kind of money!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA PIKA!
Tikki: As much as I'm happy that you got that much money, you should probably use it wisely!
Ash: Oh, don't worry, Tikki! Rest assured I will!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Ash: Although, I'm not sure where I'm gonna put it. I don't really have a bank account or anything.
Pikachu: PIKACHU.
Tikki: I think you should hold on to it and wait until you're able to go back home and then show it to your mom! Then, she might help you from there!
Marinette: Good idea!
Ash: Yeah! I probably should! [rubs Tikki's head with his finger; smiles] You're not only super adorable, but super smart too, Tikki!
Tikki: [giggles] Oh, Ash! You're gonna make me blush!
Ash: [chuckles] Plus, I plan to spend some of this money on Juleka! [gets an idea] You know what? Why wait! I'm gonna text my mom about it right now and see if she can help from there! [lays back on the chaise and begins to text his mom about the check and asking if she could help by opening a bank account for him as well as sending a selfie of him with the check]
Pikachu: PIKA?
Marinette: But how are you gonna get the check over to her when she's back in the Pokémon world?
Ash: Have you forgotten that I know someone that can travel to this dimension at any time?
Tikki: He's got you there, Marinette!
Marinette: Oh. Right.
Pikachu: [giggles] PIKACHU.
Popplio: POP?
After waiting a moment, Ash's mom responded back, both elated and shocked!
Delia (text): Oh, Ash! I'm so proud of you! You've made it to the big time and you're rich! I'll see what I can do about getting a bank account set up for you! But you'll have to send over to me with your signature on the back of it! And once we get it into your account, do you think you can use some of it to help me get plastic surgery?
Ash: [texts] MOM!
Delia (text): Don't worry! I'm only kidding, dear!
Marinette oversaw this while holding in a few snickers!
Ash: [looks over at Marinette] I can see you, Chuckles! [texts] Besides, I intend to spend some of this money on Juleka!
Delia (text): [overjoyed] That's right! Your girlfriend! I'm happy for you on that by the way! Marinette told me all about it! I always knew she had eyes for you! I especially saw it back on Career Day!
Ash: [texts while glaring at Marinette] Right.
Marinette: [chuckles nervously] Oh, come on! Everybody's glad that you and Juleka are together! She loves you so much!
Ash: But I was gonna tell my mom myself! How did you even get her number anyway?
Marinette: [sing-song voice] You'll never [boops his nose] know~!
Tikki: Actually, she snuck a peek through your Rotom Phone's call list and found your mom's number and saved it to her phone!
Marinette: [holds up her hands] Guilty as charged!
Ash: [texts his mom] I'll have Arceus send over the check to you in a few minutes. Let me know how it turns out and what kind of mac card I'll receive.
Delia (text): Alright! Bye, sweetie! Talk to you later!
After the texting chat ended, he turned to Marinette as he stood up!
Marinette: Uh... Ash?
Ash: I'll teach you to go through my [jumps onto Marinette] phone! [tickles her]
Marinette: [laughing] Ash, cut that out! I'm serious!
Ash: [while tickling her] Apologize and say you won't look through my Rotom Phone ever again!
Marinette: [laughing] Okay okay, I'm sorry! I won't look through your Rotom Phone anymore! I promise!
Ash: [stops] The art of tickle torture. The best kind of revenge.
Pikachu: PIKACHU.
Popplio: POP?
Marinette: [pants] Man! I wonder if you and Juleka do this!
Ash: Not really! I only do it to you when you do something sneaky to me!
Marinette: And I'll do the same to you if you ever did what I've done!
Ash: Right.
Marinette: You should probably get going!
Ash: Oh! You're right! [signs his name on the back of check on the signature lines] Have Arceus send that to my mom for me! Okay, Marinette?
Marinette: Sure!
Ash: Awesome! [leaves] See ya later!
Pikachu: [follows Ash] PIKA PI!
Marinette: That Ash! Such a goofball!

Scene changes to Pikachu in an open field twirling Ash's hat on its tail and then putting on and smiling as Ash reads the title of the chapter!
Ash (voiceover): Chapter 22: Simon Says!
Narrator: A pity for Marinette being grounded, but Ash gets a chance to be in Alec's TV show today! However, knowing Paris's most wanted outlaw, Hawk Moth, he's bound to make anyone who loses his next victim!
Hawk Moth: [as the window of his lair opens] The Challenge... what an interesting concept. A TV show with such potential with negative emotions. Oh, the destructive mayhem we could cause...
Jessie: And the perfect Pokémon we can send to your newest victims!
James: Hear hear!
Meowth: And hopefully not losing another one, too!
Wobbuffet: WOBBU WOB!
That made Jessie and James slump in exasperation!
Jessie: Way to bring it down, Meowth.
Hawk Moth: Rest assured that the Pokémon will stay intact! You must have faith, my loyal followers!
James: Not to be rude, boss, but faith was never really on Team Rocket's side before!
Hawk Moth: [chuckles darkly] In time, my friend. That's all going to change.
Nino was currently dropping beats in order to get the mayor to dance on TV! While she was grounded, Marinette was in her room and video chatting with Alya on her phone about the situation she's in.
Marinette: Seriously? How can you say that, Alya?
Alya: Sorry, but I kinda get your dad, Marinette. You're never where you say you'll be. Showing up late, splitting mysteriously and all. I'd almost suspect you were leading... [narrows her eyes] a double life.
Popplio: POP?
Marinette: [irks in shock] Gimme a break! You're being ridiculous.
Meanwhile, at the TVi studio, a hypnotist known as Simon Grimault arrived. He stood next to Adrien and tries to shake his hand, but Adrien's bodyguard shielded Adrien and stood protectively in front of him.
Adrien: [shocked] No! It's okay!
Litten: LITTEN!
Mayor Bourgeois began to move his head to Nino's beats, making Nino win the challenge!
Alec: Victory! Challenge conquered by Nino. You moved your head to the beat, Mayor Bourgeois! That counts as dancing!
André: [on the screen] What?! That's not true! My neck was... itching, that's all.
Alec: Relieving an itch to the beat counts as dancing, too! Nino, congratulations. You'll return in one week to meet your next challenge!
Ash: [who had arrived just in time] Hey, Adrien! What did I miss?
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Adrien: Nino just won the challenge!
Ash: [happy] He did?! Awesome!
Pikachu: [happy] PIKACHU!
Adrien: [as Nino came over to them; fists bumps with him] Awesome, dude!
Litten: [congratulating] LITTEN!
Ash: Yeah! Congrats on the win!
Pikachu: [congratulating] PIKA PIKA!
Nino: [fist bumps with Ash] Thanks, Ash! What are you doing here, dude?
Ash: I was asked to partake in Alec's show! Though I'm not sure what kind of challenge he had in mind for me!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Alec: Next up, we have the boy with many powers, Ash Ketchum!
Ash: That's my cue!
Then, he went up onto the stage!
Alec: Welcome, Ash! Today, you're our next lucky contestant to star in The Challenge!
Ash: Thank you, Mr. Alec! I'm glad to be here! So, what challenge did you have in mind?
Alec: Well, I heard from Otis Césaire that you were able to tame the panther he had just like [snaps his fingers] that!
Ash: I guess you could say that!
Alec: So, I wondered, what if Ash could tame a different kind of animal he's never tamed before that he hasn't seen in a zoo yet! So here's MY challenge for you! And we've brought some animals in that I'm sure you won't be able to tame!
Ash: [smirks] Try me!
Then, what was wheeled in was a cage containing a male and female lion and two different colored tigers! One orange and one while!
Ash: Whoa!
Pikachu: PIKA...
Alec: Here's MY challenge for you! Try and tame those big cats! You have five minutes on the clock!
Ash: Five minutes is all I need! [heads over to the cage as it was opened for him]
Lions: [growls]
Ash: Easy now! I won't hurt you! Just relax! [places his hands on both of the lions' forehead]
Then, the lions felt a surge of aura rush through them, making them more calm and less aggressive!
Ash: See? You can trust me!
Then, Ash did the same thing to the tigers, making them less aggressive too!
Lions and Tigers: [purr]
The male lion and the two tigers were made nice with Ash, but the female lion was more affectionate!
Female Lion: [nuzzling against him affectionately; purrs]
Ash: [giggles]
Juleka and Rose were at the park and they were watching Ash's accomplished challenge from Rose's phone!
Rose: Wow! You weren't kidding when you told me that Ash is able to tame wild animals, Juleka!
Juleka: [nods; smiles] Mhm.
Rose: And I'm glad he had accomplished his challenge!
Juleka: Yeah. My babe's awesome.
Rockruff: RUFF!
Everyone in the studio applauded for Ash!
Pikachu: [happy] PIKACHU! PIKA PIKA!
Adrien: Alright, Ash!
Litten: LITTEN!
Nino: Way to go, dude!
Alec: I don't believe it! [as Ash stepped out with the male and female lions following] You completed my challenge! Congratulations! Next week, you'll be joining Nino to meet your next challenge!
Ash: Okay! [to the camera; smiles] Juleka, if you're watching this, I wanna let you know you're my number one girl and [winks] I love you!
That made the gothic girl blush!
Rose: Aww!
Juleka: I love that guy.
Rockruff: [smiles; wags his tail] ROCKRUFF!
Back at the TVi Studios...
Alec: And now, for our next contestant, welcome Simon Grimault!
The hypnotist went onto the stage while Ash made his way over to his friends!
Nino: Wow, Ash! I never knew you could tame animals like that!
Ash: What can I say? It's a gift!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Ash: Besides, it comes naturally [pets the female lion on the head] when you've got a big heart!
Female Lion: [purrs]
Ash: [to the female lion] Once I get my own bank account situated, I'm gonna see if you and your mate can be transferred to the zoo here! You'll soon have a new home and I'll be taking care of you! And I think I'll call you and your mate Nala and Simba! You like those names?
Nala: [licks his cheek]
Simba: [roars in approval]
Ash: [chuckles; to the tigers] I'm gonna see if you two can be transferred, too! And I think I'll call you Tormak and Sheena!
Tormak and Sheena: [roar in approval]
Alec: [wraps an arm around Simon] Mr. Grimault, you are a hypnotist. You use cards to hypnotize people to get what you want from them!
Simon: Well, yes, I'm a hypnotist. But, uh, [takes out a deck of cards] I don't use my skills to get anything.
Ash: I know about a Hypnosis attack that can sometimes put opponents to sleep!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Alec: So, your challenge today, Simon, is to use your talents to bring a very elusive celebrity to this very TV set! Give it up for the king of fashion, Gabriel Agreste!
Then, the screen switched to Gabriel's office, and the man himself spun around in his swivel chair to show his face!
Ash: Mr. Agreste?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Gabriel: What is this show? I was told this was an interview.
Nino: [to Adrien] Dude, [places his hands on his shoulders] your dad!
Ash: How did you get your dad to join?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Adrien: I convinced him that he was going to be called in for an interview.
Alec: Do your thing, Grimault, let's see if you can bring Mr. Agreste here with your hypnotic persuasion!
Simon: I told you, I don't make people-
Alec: Ha! A shy hypnotist! How funny is that, Gabriel?
Ash: Come on, Alec, give the guy a break! He's trying to tell you he's not that kind of hypnotist!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Alec: Quiet on the set!
Gabriel: Hilarious. Your show is pathetic. And so is your contestant. Control me? Never. [ends the transmission]
Alec: Huh?
Adrien: That's my dad, all right.
Ash: Sheesh. I never knew Mr. Agreste was such a grouch! [to Adrien] Uh, no offense, Adrien!
Adrien: None taken. That's how he usually is!
Litten: [nods in agreement] LITTEN LIT!
Alec: Looks like Mr. Agreste has [places his hand on Simon's shoulder] turned on your challenge. Game over!
A large red X was shown across the screen as a result of his failure.
Simon: But... that's not fair! I didn't even get time to...
But the hypnotist never got to finish because he was led off the stage and escorted out the studio into the hallway.
Ash: Poor guy! I feel sorry for him!
Pikachu: [sympathetic] PIKACHU.
At Hawk Moth's lair, he had found his next victim!
Hawk Moth: Yes. Humiliation and anger. The perfect elements for transforming a loser into a winner. [to Team Rocket] Is the Rocket Prize Master ready?
James: Of course, boss!
Hawk Moth: Now, Rocket Prize Master! Give me a Pokémon that has strong, hypnotic powers!
With a single crank and twist, a Team Rocket PokéBall came out of the Prize Master!
Rocket Prize Master: [robotic voice] You have received the Hypnosis Pokémon, Drowzee!
Hawk Moth: Excellent! [turns a butterfly into an Akuma; as they Akuma flies off, carrying the shrunken PokéBall with it] Fly away, my little Akuma, and evilize him!
The Akuma flew off into the city, carrying the PokéBall with it! Back in the TVi Studio, Simon was picking up the cards he dropped. The Akuma flew into one of Simon's cards and infected it, causing a light mask to appear upon the hypnotist's face.
Hawk Moth: I am Hawk Moth. You are now Simon Says. I will help you be the most powerful hypnotist ever. You will help me in return when the time's right. So, do we have a deal, Simon Says?
Simon: Simon says yes. [transforms into Simon Says]
Hawk Moth: As an added bonus to your powers, you will be given a Pokémon with very similar abilities to yours.
Then, the PokéBall opened and Drowzee appeared!
Hawk Moth: Behold! The Hypnosis Pokémon, Drowzee!
Drowzee: DROWZEE...
Hawk Moth: With Drowzee's hypnotic psychic powers, you will get more help in taking control of your victims!
Simon Says and Drowzee then went inside the studio!
[everyone gasps]
Simon Says: Simon says the show is not over!
Alec: What on earth?!
Simon Says: [picks a card] Silence! Silence says (the pun "Simon Says" as in "Silence Says") you're lame! As lame as a duck!
He threw the duck card at Alec, and he starts acting like a duck. The Gorilla tries to stop him!
Simon Says: Simon says stop! [throws a card with a pause sign at the Gorilla and freezes him] Simon says you are a Gorilla! [throws the Gorilla card at him and he starts acting like a Gorilla]
Simon Says: Drowzee, let's show them your hypnotic powers!
Ash: [gasps] Drowzee?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Drowzee: [Hypnosis move; waving its arms] DROWZEE, DROWZEE, DROWZEE...
Ash: Cover your eyes, or you'll fall under its spell!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKA PIKACHU!
Adrien, Nino and most of the other people in the room did just that, but the rest weren't so lucky!
People: [moaning]
Ash: Oh no! Come on, Adrien and Nino! Let's vamoose!
Litten: [leaps into action; Fire Fang move] LITTEN...
Adrien: Litten!
Simon Says: Use your Mega Punch!
Drowzee: [Mega Punch move] DROW...ZEE!
Litten: [pained] TEN!
Adrien: LITTEN! [catches his partner; grunts] Are you okay?!
Litten: [swirls in eyes; dazed] LITTEN.
Adrien: [gasps]
Ash: That Drowzee's super strong! It's probably a higher level!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKACHU!
Ash: Let's beat it while the beating's good!
Adrien: I'll get out this way! [he runs off]
Ash: Come on, Nino!
Nino: No need to tell me twice! [leaves with Ash as fast as they could]
Back at the bakery, Tikki and Popplio were watching the chaos from Marinette's computer!
Tikki: Marinette, look!
Popplio: [alerting] POP! POP!
Marinette: [sees the screen] Ah! I gotta go, Alya!
Alya: [from phone] Have a good one! I'll get back to my babysitting.
Marinette: Tikki, what am I gonna do? I'm grounded!
Tikki: You don't have a choice! You must transform! We just have to be extra careful! Use that pillow under your sheets.
Marinette went to her bed and saw the pillow. She took the pillow and rearranged the bed, to make it look like she's sleeping under it!
Tikki: Lookin' good.
Marinette: Yeah! [to Popplio] Popplio, cover for mama!
Popplio: [salutes] POPPLIO!
[Transformation Sequence]
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! Ha!
Then, Marinette transformed into Ladybug! Then, she jumped from her house's roof and swung to the TVi Studio!
Popplio: [proud of her mommy] POP POPPLIO!
Back at the TVi Studio...
Simon Says: Gabriel Agreste turned down my challenge and he will pay for it! By midnight tonight, he will entertain us in this very TV studio. Gabriel, I'm coming to get you!
Cat Noir was eavesdropping from above, to the ceiling attached, batten!
Cat Noir: Dad?
Hawk Moth: [from his lair] It's risky, but it's given me an idea.
Jessie: [concerned] Are you sure about this, boss?
Hawk Moth: Of course, my dear!
Cat Noir saw Ash and Pikachu sneaking in from down below, while giving them a signal to be quiet!
Cat Noir: [shushes them]
Ash: [gives the thumbs up]
Then, Cat Noir fell from the ceiling and jumped onto Simon Says!
Ash: Ha! Checkmate, Simon Says!
Cat Noir: [shushes Simon Says by placing his finger over his mouth] Cat Noir says: Zip it and gimme those cards!
Ash: The cards?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Cat Noir: That's where his Akuma is! It has to be!
Ash: Okay!
Simon Says: Drowzee, Simon says use your Mega Punch on this furball!
Drowzee: [Mega Punch move] DROW...ZEE!
Cat Noir: [hit] GUH!
Ash: Cat Noir!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Then, Simon Says threw his cards onto the floor, scattering them!
Ash: The cards!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Cat Noir went to gather the cards, but Simon Says had an ace up his sleeve!
Simon Says: My gorilla will take care of you. Simon says.. knock him out! [throws a card with a boxing glove at the Gorilla]
Ash: Uh oh!
That made the Gorilla charge in at Ash! He was about to knock him out, when...
Ash: Oh no you don't! [tosses a PokéBall] Dragonite, block him!
Dragonite: [appearing] BRWAR! [blocks the Gorilla] BRWAR!
Ash: Alright!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ash: Now's my chance to get the cards!
Simon Says: No! Simon says stop him!
Drowzee: [Mega Punch move] DROW...ZEE!
Ash: Pikachu, block it with Iron Tail!
Pikachu: [Iron Tail move] CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...PIKA!
Both attacks collided with each other!
Ash: Get the cards, Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: Uh, right! [tries to gather the cards]
Ash: [helps him] I'll help!
However, the Gorilla charged at Cat Noir and knocked him out of the studio, while making him crash into a wall.
Cat Noir: I may not always land on my feet, but I always bounce back!
The Gorilla tried to punch Cat Noir, but he missed and ended up punching a hole into the wall instead. While Cat Noir was dealing with the Gorilla, Ash was dealing with Simon Says!
Simon Says: [picks up the cards] I could use an army.
Ash: Well, your army is gonna come! Dragonite, use Hurricane! Blow the cards out of his hand!
Dragonite: [Hurricane move] BRRRRRRRRRRRRWAR!
A strong and fierce wind blew!
Simon Says: [trying to stand his ground; grunts]
Ash: You can't hold out forever, you know! Give up now!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Simon Says: I don't have time for this! Simon says, [while tossing a card] freeze!
Dragonite was hit and frozen in place!
Ash: Dragonite, no!
Pikachu: [worried] PIKACHU!
Simon Say: Not so gusty now, are you? [laughs cunningly]
Hawk Moth: [through the light mask] Use this opportunity to bring the boy to me!
Jessie: Don't forget Pikachu!
Simon Says: With pleasure, Hawk Moth! Simon says you're a [tosses a card at him] loyal wolf!
Ash: [dodges] Ash says eat my shorts!
Simon Says: [gasps] In that case... Do it, Drowzee! Use Hypnosis!
Drowzee: [waving its arms; Hypnosis move] DROWZEE, DROWZEE, DROWZEE...
Ash: [opens a PokéBall] Ace in the hole!
Gengar: [appearing] GENGAR!
Ash: Quick, Gengar! Use Night Shade!
Gengar: [Night Shade move] GEN...GAR!
Drowzee: [pained] DROW!
Simon Says: What?!
Ash: [takes out Dragonite's PokéBall and returns Dragonite] Thanks for your help, Dragonite! Return!
After Dragonite was returned, the card was released!
Ash: Gengar, use Ice Punch!
Gengar: [Ice Punch move] GEN...GAR!
Drowzee: [hit] DROWZ!
Ash: Alright!
Simon Says: [growls] Simon says [throws a card at him] you can't talk!
Ash: [dodges] Hah! Nice try! But you can't shut me up! Pikachu, Quick Attack!
Pikachu: [Quick Attack move] PIKA!
Simon Says: [hit in the chest] OOF!
Ash: Now, to fight Psychic power with Psychic power! [pulls out the Mind Plate]
[Transformation Sequence]
Ash: Mind Plate, [places it on his chest] activate!
Then, his clothes gained a magenta color scheme, and an eye symbol appeared on his cap! After the transformation was complete, he posed as if he was activating a Psychic-type Z-Move!
Ash: Try to outsmart me this time, ya Riddler lookalike!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking wildly; threatening] PIKACHU!
Gengar: GENGAR!
Simon Says: Simon says [tosses a card] you're an angry T-Rex!
But Ash stopped it before it could get any closer to him with his Psychic powers!
Ash: [smirks] Roar.
Simon Says: What?! Impossible!
Ash: [tosses the card away with his telekinesis] Checkmate!
Simon Says: Drowzee, take control over that meddling child! Use Hypnosis!
Drowzee: [waving its arms; Hypnosis move] DROWZEE, DROWZEE, DROWZEE...
Ash: Do it, Gengar!
Then, Gengar went on the attack and the Hypnosis phased through it!
Simon Says: Oh no!
Ash: Shadow Ball!
Gengar: [Shadow Ball move] GEN...GAR!
Drowzee: [pained] DROW!
Simon Says: No!
Ash: That's showing him!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Simon Says: [growls] I don't have time for any more delays! Simon says [tosses a card] "stick" around.
Ash: [dodges] Hup! Sorry! But I don't plan to "stick" around when there's an Akuma that needs busting!
Simon Say: [growls] Drowzee, Simon says get me out of here! Teleport!
Drowzee: [Teleport move] DROWZEE!
And Drowzee and Simon Says teleported out of the room!
Ash: [gasps] They escaped!
Pikachu: [snaps its fingers; saying "Rats!"] CHU!
Gengar: [frustrated] GENGAR!
Ash: Never mind that now! We've gotta help Cat Noir!
Ash, Pikachu, and Gengar headed out! Outside the studio, a group of people are waiting for the elevator, but Simon Says came out of it.
Simon Says: Simon says... you are all soldiers!
The people started to run away, but he threw soldier cards at them!
Simon Says: Simon says... search all over Paris, my army, and find Gabriel Agreste!
The mind controlled citizens obeyed and began to walk like zombies!
Meanwhile, Cat Noir is fighting the Gorilla. Cat Noir hits him with his staff, but the Gorilla grabs the staff!
Cat Noir: Better watch out. My sensei taught me that... [the Gorilla grabs him; in a squeaky voice] size doesn't matter!
Ladybug arrived at the studio and kicked the door, but saw nobody in the studio.
Nino: Ladybug!
Ladybug: Oh... [rushes over to Nino] Hey! You okay?
Nino: I'm fine, but my boy Adrien's still here somewhere!
Ladybug: Don't worry, [places her hand on his shoulder] we'll find him.
With Cat Noir, the Cat Miraculous holder was stilling fighting the hypnotized bodyguard, who had him pinned to a wall.
Cat Noir: I quit karate.
The elevator opened and a lady come out. Seeing the fight that was happening caused her to get frightened.
Cat Noir: [gets an idea] Oh, hey there, Ladybug!
That made the bodyguard stop, making him think that Ladybug was actually there! Cat Noir broke free from the Gorilla by kicking him and throwing him into the elevator.
Cat Noir: Enough already. Cataclysm!
Then, his hand glowed a black bubbly energy!
Cat Noir used his Cataclysm on the elevator's panel, causing it to malfunction and make it fall, with the bodyguard in it.
Gorilla: [screams]
Cat Noir sensed someone behind him and did a backflip, picked up his staff and spun it around to defend himself, but he saw it was only Ash, Pikachu, Gengar, Ladybug, and Nino.
Ladybug: Nice seeing you too, Cat Noir.
Ash: A bit jumpy, aren't you, Cat?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Cat Noir: Oh, sorry. I thought you were Simon Says.
Ash: Please. Do we look anything like that Riddler lookalike?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
Cat Noir: Huh?
Ladybug: Who's the Riddler?
Ash: Another supervillain! [shows Riddler on his Rotom Phone] And to be honest, Simon Says almost looks like him! Can't you tell?
Ladybug: Huh. I actually kinda see it!
Cat Noir: Me too!
Nino: I saw him! He's got a whole army together!
Ash: No doubt he's looking for Mr. Agreste! We've gotta find him and stop him! Gengar, crawl through the shadows and see if you can find Simon Says!
Gengar: [grins] GENGAR!
Then, it dove into Nino's shadow and disappeared!
Nino: Whoa! Sick!
Ash: There's basically a parallel dimension where Gengar can enter by slipping through shadows! That way no one would suspect you're being followed by a Ghost Pokémon!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: Huh. That could actually come in handy!
Ash: That reminds me, Ladybug! Simon Says isn't alone! Team Rocket has given another Pokémon to another one of Hawk Moth's victims!
Ladybug: Oh great. Which one is it this time?
Ash: The Hypnosis Pokémon, Drowzee!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ash: It's very strong! Words of advice! First, watch out for its Hypnosis attack! It'll take control over your mind! Second, watch out for its Mega Punch attack! It's super extra strong and really packs a "punch"! And third, it was able to teleport itself and Simon Says out of the studio!
Ladybug: So there's three things to watch out for! What about its fourth move?
Ash: I'm not sure! But we'll have to be careful of it whatever that move is!
Cat Noir's ring began to flash!
Ladybug: Cat Noir, you're about to change back. I'll take one last look around for Nino's friend.
Cat Noir: Uh... Forget it. He's probably hypnotized.
Nino: But he's my buddy!
Ash: Don't worry! I'm sure with Gengar on patrol, it'll find Adrien and snap some sense back into him! After all, hypnotic powers don't work on Ghost-types!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Cat Noir: Uh... you're right. Maybe he's hiding. [puts his staff away] I'll leave you to look for him. [runs to the exit] Let's meet up at Gabriel Agreste's place later on. [closes the door]
Ash: Oh well! Come on! We've gotta get to the Agreste Mansion before Simon does!
While our heroes made their way through the building to search for Adrien, Cat Noir was in the stairwells and about to transform back.
Cat Noir: [runs down the stairs] Finding Adrien will be a piece of cake!
And he was right! For once the last light went out, Cat Noir transformed back into Adrien!
Adrien: [opens his jacket] Hide, Plagg!
And Plagg did just that!
While Ash, Pikachu, Ladybug, and Nino were walking across the over path in the hallway, they ran into Adrien!
Ash: Adrien! There you are!
Pikachu: [relieved] PIKACHU.
Adrien: Ash! Nino!
Nino: Adrien! [runs over and hugs him; places his hands on his shoulders] Dude, you okay?
Adrien: I'm fine.
Ash: That's good! We thought you might've fallen victim to Simon Says' cards and/or Drowzee's Hypnosis attack!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Adrien: Nope! I'm all good!
Ash: That's good! How's Litten doing?
Adrien: Oh! I almost forgot! [takes out Litten's PokéBall and opens it]
Litten: [appearing; weak] LITTEN.
Ash: Here! Let me treat it! [pulls out a Sitrus Berry] Here, Litten! Eat this Sitrus Berry! It'll get your strength back!
Litten: [begins to eat the Sitrus Berry] LITTEN...
Ash: Litten should feel better after it eats that Sitrus Berry!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Adrien: Thank you, Ash!
Ash: No problem!
That's when Adrien saw Ladybug and became flustered!
Adrien: [approaches Ladybug; timidly] ...Hello?
Ladybug: [timidly] Uh... Hello! You sure you're okay?
Adrien: [blushes] I'm fine, really. [composes himself] But we've got to get to my house now! My father's in danger!
Ladybug: Let's go. Cat Noir will meet us there.
Ash: Then let's go!
Our heroes ran off and were on their way to the Agreste Mansion!
["Who's That Pokémon?" time]
[as a magnifying glass shows a yellow trunk and hand with Pikachu standing next to it with a PokéBall]
Ash: Who's that Pokémon?
...
[The Pokémon reveals to be Drowzee]
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Drowzee: DROWZEE!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!

Soon, our heroes had arrived at the Agreste Mansion!
Adrien: [opens the door with Litten on his shoulder] Nathalie, where's my father? He's in danger!
Nathalie: He knows already.
Ash: Well, that's convenient!
Gabriel: Good evening, Ladybug. Mr. Ketchum.
Ash: I would say it's more of a "bad" evening, Mr. Agreste!
Adrien: Father, you've gotta get outta here. The hypnotist Simon Says is coming after you!
Gabriel: What? And be dictated by a madman? Certainly not.
Adrien: But father, he's dangerous! Who knows what he'll do?
Ash: He's not kidding! He was able to stop my Dragonite in its tracks with one of his cards!
Jessie, James, and Meowth: [in disguise as butlers and a maid] Company!
Ash: Whoa! Who are they?
Jessie and James: To protect the world from devastation!
Meowth: [hits them with a paper fan] Ix-nay!
Jessie and James: We forgot!
Adrien: They're my new maid and butlers. Jessandra, Jameson, and Malone.
Ash: New maid and butlers? How did you get them, Adrien?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Adrien: My father hired them a couple of days ago!
Litten: [agreeing] LITTEN!
[Flashback]
Adrien (Flashback): You wanted to see me, Father?
Gabriel (Flashback): Yes, Adrien.
That's when Team Rocket came into the fashion designer's office, dressed as a maid and butler.
Gabriel (Flashback): I would like to introduce your new maid and butlers I hired. This is Jessandra, Jameson and Malone. They will attend to your every need when you need it.
Adrien (Flashback): Oh! Hello!
Jameson: Ah! So you must be young Master Adrien! A pleasure to make your acquaintance!
Jessandra: Bonjour!
Malone: Howdy-doo!
Litten: LITTEN?
Adrien (Flashback): Nice to meet you!
Jameson: Likewise! We look forward to attending to your every need, young Master Adrien!
Jessandra: Absolutely!
Gabriel (Flashback): If you need them for anything, [pulls out a small bell] just ring this bell!
Adrien (Flashback): [as he takes the bell] Yes, Father!
[Flashback ends]
Adrien: That's basically what happened! [to his father] Father, you have to listen! You're in grave danger!
Gabriel: Head up to your room now. You've had enough excitement for today.
Litten: [growls in frustration] LITTEN!
Gabriel: [to Nathalie] Nathalie, make sure they stay there.
Nathalie: [nods; guides Adrien and Nino upstairs]
Gabriel: [to Ladybug and Ash] I have to apologize for my son, Ladybug. Mr. Ketchum. He's like his mother. Way too overly dramatic.
Ash: Nothing to apologize for, sir!
Ladybug: But he's right, you know. Simon Says is a real threat. You're in a lot of danger!
Ash: That's right!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA!
Gabriel: [smiles] What could possibly happen with you two here to protect [places his hand on Ladybug's shoulder] me?
Ash: He's also got a very strong Drowzee with him! One wham from its Mega Punch and you're toast! Especially if you fall under its Hypnosis attack!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Gabriel: I'm not too worried. After all, [places his hand on Ash's shoulder] it wouldn't stand a chance against you. You're a very strong Pokémon Trainer.
Ash: Well, no denying that! But I best suggest you find some place safe to hide! This Drowzee in particular has a higher level kind of strength and power!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Nino: [as they were walking up; to Adrien] You sure your old man isn't some robot or something?
Litten: LITTEN.
Adrien: When my father's concerned I'm never sure of anything.
Soon, they arrived in Adrien's room!
Nino: [amazed] Hoho! Dude! I've seen stadiums tinier than your room!
Litten even climbed up onto its beige 69-in cat tree that Adrien's father had gotten for it and went onto the very top laying spot!
Litten: [lies down; relaxed] LITTEN...
Nino: And Litten's even got its own cat tree?! That's cool!
Adrien: [goes to his bathroom's door] Make yourself at home. I'm gonna take a shower.
Nino: Now?!
Adrien: What can I say? It's the model in me! [to Litten] You just lay down and relax, Litten! Okay?
Litten: [affirmative] LITTEN.
Adrien: [enters the shower; to Plagg] Why doesn't my father ever listen to me?
[Transformation Sequence]
Adrien: Plagg, claws out!
Then, Adrien transformed into Cat Noir! Then, he leapt out the window and crawled onto the roof! Meanwhile, Ash and Ladybug were with Gabriel in his office, looking at some pictures of Adrien modeling.
Ash: Wow! Adrien must be good at his modeling gigs!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug couldn't agree more while staring at the pictures with a dreamy smile upon her face!
Gabriel: Isn't he flawless?
Ladybug: Huh? What? Flaw-what?
Gabriel: Adrien, my son. He's the image of perfection, don't you think?
Ladybug: Oh, yes, he's perfect. I mean, um, I don't know him very well, but he seems...
Ash: What she means to say is that he's an amazing guy and a great friend to have! But although, with all due respect, Mr. Agreste, sir, haven't you ever considered him being more than a model or anything else you would want him to do?
Gabriel: What do you mean?
Ash: I mean, if he kept his modeling career while also say for example, going out into the world and traveling and having a big world adventure and discovering what more he can do!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Ash: Think about it! He could be a Pokémon Breeder or a Pokémon Doctor or a Pokémon Coordinator of a Pokémon Performer for Pokémon Showcases! Don't you think those might peak yours and probably Adrien's interest?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Adrien's father was very intrigued by this!
Gabriel: I never considered that. You certainly have an intelligent and creative mind, young man.
Ash: Of course, sir!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ash: For me, I'm on a journey to become a Pokémon Master! But my main goal is to battle Leon!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Ash: I guess what I'm trying to say is... It's a big world out there! And it's waiting for new explorers to explore and discover and do great things!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA PI!
Ladybug: [places her hand on her hip] That's one way of putting it!
Ash: Well, I may have learned a thing or two about the world in the past!
Gabriel: Hm?
Ash: Basically solving mysteries and exploring and making friends and going where no Pokémon Trainer has gone before!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Gabriel: I see.
Ladybug: Now that sounds amazing!
Ash: Yeah!
Gabriel was focused on the Mind Plate equipped to Ash!
Ash: Hm? Everything okay, Mr. Agreste?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Gabriel: Oh, yes. Everything is fine. I'm rather intrigued by that slate you have on your chest.
Ash: Oh! This? It's a actually a plate! I have nineteen plates that give me extraordinary powers! The Mind Plate gives me Psychic abilities!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Gabriel: I see. [sees Ladybug's earrings] I've never noticed your earrings before. They really are quite unique.
Ash: They sure are! One of a kind actually!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA!
Gabriel: [reaches for Ladybug's earrings] May I?
But before he could reach any further and Ash could intervene, Ladybug's yo-yo rang!
Ladybug: [answers her yo-yo] Excuse me. [to her yo-yo] Cat Noir, where were you?
Cat Noir: [to his staff] I, I was... keeping Simon Says and his tapir of a sidekick at bay!
Ladybug: And? Cat Noir?
Ash: Where are you now, Cat?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
Cat Noir: [sees the hypnotized people] I couldn't keep him away. He's coming. He's got company. [enters the room] Close off all exits! They're coming from another direction! Do as I say! Engage the self-defense system, we need total lockdown!
Gabriel activated the total defense system on his computer, and all the windows of the mansion were sealed shut!
Announcer: Lockdown engaged.
Ash: That's fortunate! And pretty awesome!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Gabriel: [to Cat Noir] How do you know so much about the system?
Cat Noir: [nervous] Uh... In a house like this... it's a given!
Gabriel: [typing on his computer] They won't get in. This house is built like a fortress.
Ash: Calling it a "fortress" is putting it mildly, sir! It's a super high-tech fortress!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Gabriel: I'm glad you think so.
Outside the mansion, the hypnotized citizens were groaning like zombies and were attempting to break open the gate!
Simon Says: [on top of the Gorilla] Simon says, destroy! [throws bull cards at the hypnotized people]
Then, the hypnotized people charged and knocked the gate down!
Ash: I think they just broke your gate in!
Just as he said that, alarm lights went off!
Announcer: Emergency power on.
Ash: Sheesh!
Cat Noir: [points at the screens] There are too many of them. Your defense system is failing!
Ladybug: Adrien and Nino! I better go get them!
Ash: No, Ladybug! I'll go! You stay here and protect Gabriel!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: No, I should go!
Ash: And I insist that I go!
Gabriel: Both of you go. I can take care of myself.
Ash: Are you sure, Mr. Agreste?
Pikachu: PIKACHU?
Gabriel: Yes, I'll be fine. [types on his computer] Here, Nathalie. Pick the controls [as a painting opens up, revealing a set of remotes] in case you need to unlock an exit. [as Nathalie takes a remote] She's coming with you.
Ash: Right! It'll be nice to get to know Miss Nathalie for a bit!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ash: After all, she is kinda pretty!
Nathalie was surprised as a small blush tinted on her face!
Ladybug: Hey, you're already dating some one!
Ash: What? Am I not allowed to flatter a woman? [places his fist near his heart] This heart belongs to Juleka and nobody else!
But Nathalie still felt aflutter as they went to find Nino and Adrien!
Cat Noir: I'll reinforce the outer defenses. Go hide in the atrium. It's not safe in here. [leaps]
Gabriel: No one tells me what to do. Not even a superhero.
Cat Noir: You're in danger, like everyone else! [takes the other control] So stop pretending you're above us all and just do what I tell you to!
Gabriel was shocked by this, but agreed!
Gabriel: [smirks] Quite a temper. [places his hand on his chin] You remind me of someone.
That made Cat Noir irk! Then, Cat Noir exited the room while Gabriel looked at a painting of his wife, Emilie.
Meowth: What a beauty!
Wobbuffet: [popping up] WOBBUFFET!
Outside the mansion, the hypnotized people were invading by climbing the walls!
Simon Says: [laughs evilly]
Drowzee: DROWZEE...
Hawk Moth: I don't think that's a good idea, Simon Says.
Jessie: [nervous] Definitely not!
Simon Says: Gabriel is here!
Hawk Moth: Yes, but don't forget our deal. I feel Ladybug and Cat Noir nearby. Once you've got them in front of you, you'll be able to honor our agreement. Just take their jewels, the Miraculouses. And bring me the boy's slates.
Meowth: And his Pikachu!
Simon Says: It's as good as done. [holds out a card] Simon says we'll defeat them!
Drowzee only gave a sinister smile!
Drowzee: DROWZEE...
Meanwhile, Ash, Ladybug and Nathalie had entered Adrien's room.
Ash: Whoa! I never knew Adrien's room was this big!
Nino: Ladybug! What's going down?
Ladybug: We need to move to safer ground. Where is Adrien?
Nino: Taking a shower.
Ladybug: Now?
Nino: It's the model in him.
Litten: [yawns] LIT. [goes back to its catnap] LITTEN.
Ladybug: Take Nino to the atrium. I'll take care of Adrien. Leave the remote control with me.
Nathalie gave her the remote control! After they left Ladybug knocks on the bathroom door!
Ladybug: A-drien? Adrien!
In the bathroom, Cat Noir entered and heard her. Then, he turned the shower on!
Ladybug: Eeee!
Adrien: [pokes his head around the corner] Yeah?
Ladybug: Oh! Must... it-eh, to go! He he. Too dangerous... to leave!
Adrien: Can I put on my clothes first?
Ladybug: Sure! If you must... I-I mean, of course you can. [shuts the bathroom door]
They both sighed in relief!
Ash: Wow. Even as Ladybug, you still get cold feet when talking to your crush.
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU.
Ladybug: Says the guy who was trying to flirt with Mr. Agreste's assistant!
Ash: I wasn't flirting! I was flattering! Totally different thing! [gains a serious look] I would NEVER disrespect my Juleka! EVER!
Ladybug: [with a teasing grin] You sure you don't also have a thing for older women?
Ash: [grits his teeth] Ladybug, I'm warning you!
Ladybug: [teasingly] Ooh. Ash is into older women! Wait 'til I tell Juleka this!
Ash: [completely embarrassed] LADYBUG!
Ladybug: [chuckles] It's so easy to mess with you, Ash!
Ash: [pouts; grumbles]
Ladybug: Aw, come on, Ash! You know I'm only kidding! You and I both know that Juleka knows that you would never do anything to hurt her!
Ash: Yeah! Although, I have seen something in the museum the other day about the olden days where some people had something called a harem!
Pikachu: [intrigued] PIKACHU?
Ladybug: Oh, please, Ash! Nobody would want to have a harem in the present time!
Ash: Hey, you never know!
Nino and Nathalie arrived in Gabriel's atelier and shut the doors!
Gabriel: Where's my son?
Nino: He'll be here. He's with Ladybug.
Gabriel: [squints his eyes] Mmm.
Back in Adrien's room...
Ladybug: Don't you think harems were meant for the olden days for a reason?
Ash: Well, when you're a Legendary Chosen One like me, you're bound to probably get a harem!
Ladybug: Oh, whatever.
Ladybug then saw that there was a picture of Mrs. Agreste on the computer.
Ladybug: [gasps]
Ash: Well now, she's super pretty!
Pikachu: [agreeing; awed] PIKA...
Adrien: [coming over to them, with a towel around his neck] My mother on her 17th birthday. She was pretty, huh?
Ash: Pretty doesn't begin to describe it! She's beautiful!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ash: What's her name?
Adrien: Emilie.
Ash: Emilie! Now that even sounds beautiful!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Adrien: I know. [smiles sadly] It's not even been a year since she went away forever.
Ash: [gasps softly] You mean...
Adrien: [sadly nods]
Ash: [sad] Oh, Adrien. I'm so sorry. I'm sure your dad's not taking it too well either. But I'm sure she was a good woman.
Pikachu: [agreeing sadly] PIKACHU.
Adrien: It's not your fault, Ash.
Ash: I know. But I wish there was something I could do to help get rid of the pain you and your dad are feeling.
Pikachu: PIKACHU.
Adrien: I appreciate the thought, Ash. But there's nothing that can be done.
Ash: [gains a determined look] Don't worry, Adrien! I swear on my honor as a Pokémon Trainer and soon-to-be the one to battle Leon, I will find a way to help get rid of the pain and suffering you and your dad are going through! Even if it takes me days, weeks, months or even years!
Pikachu: [agreeing determinedly] PIKA PI! PIKACHU!
Adrien: How?
Ash: I don't know yet! But I'll try anything! Anything to make you and your dad happy! It might not happen today and it might not happen tomorrow, but I will find a way to make you both happy, even if it kills me!
Ladybug, Adrien, and Litten smiled from this!
Ash: [sadly smiles] And if it's any consolation, Adrien, I never really knew my dad.
Pikachu: [lowers his head in sadness] PIKA PI.
Adrien: I'm sorry about that, Ash.
Ash: It's fine, Adrien. But I know he's out there somewhere and feeling very proud about how far I came!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!
Ladybug: [places a hand on Ash's shoulder] And I'm sure he is!
Adrien: [smiles] Absolutely!
Ash: Thanks, guys!
Pikachu: [happy] PIKACHU!
Ladybug, Adrien and Ash looked at Emilie's picture on the computer again!

Both of them gasped and blushed at the same time!
Ash: [giggles] Seems to me like you've been smittened by each other! And you were telling me that I can't be smittened by Miss Nathalie, Ladybug!
Pikachu: [giggles] PIKACHU!
Ladybug: [bonks Ash on the head with her yo-yo]
Ash: OW! What did I do?
Down below, the hypnotized people invaded the mansion!
Gengar: [reappears] GENGAR! [phases through the ceiling into Adrien's room] GEN! GENGAR!
Ash: Gengar!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ash: Any status update?
Gengar: [saying "THEY'RE COMING!"] GEN GENGAR!
Ash: They're coming?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
And Gengar was right! Many of the hypnotized civilians swarmed into Adrien's room!
Ash: YIKE! We gotta go!
One of the hypnotized civilians was charging towards Adrien!
Litten: [defending] LITTEN! [Fury Swipes move] TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN!
Civilian: [rubbing his face] OW OW OW OW OW!
Adrien: Litten!
Litten jumped onto his shoulder and Ladybug pushed them into the bathroom!
Ladybug: Stay here!
Ash: We'll handle this! [closes the door]
Adrien: [as Plagg appears] You're gonna need an extra set of hands, buddy!
Plagg: Oh my! What was that all about? Sweet love?
Adrien blushed and then shook his head from the teasing his Kwami was giving him.
Litten: [unamused; saying "Very mature, Plagg."] LITTEN, LITTEN LIT.
Adrien: ...Gotta help them!
[Transformation Sequence]
Adrien: Plagg, claws out!
Plagg: Oh, not again!
Plagg got sucked into the ring and Adrien transformed into Cat Noir! In Gabriel's atelier, he was watching the hypnotized people damage the cameras on his monitor!
James: Not good!
Gabriel: Are they coming?
Nathalie tried to keep the door locked, but the hypnotized people knocked it open!
Jessie: AH! THEY GOT IN!
Then, the hypnotized people grabbed Gabriel by the arms!
Jessie, James, and Meowth: Boss!
Wobbuffet: [worried] WOBBU!
Simon Says: Gotcha.
Gabriel: [growls]
Jessie and James stood before Simon Says!
Jessie: You let go of Master Gabriel!
Simon Says: Simon says you two [tosses chicken cards at them] are chickens!
Then, Jessie and James started acting like chickens!
Jessie and James: [clucking; pecking the ground]
Meowth: Oy vey! Talk about tired and feathered!
Wobbuffet: [shocked] WOBBUFFET!
Meowth: Alright! Time for Meowth to [extends his claws] step into the ring!
Simon Says: [snaps his fingers] Simon says use Psybeam, Drowzee!
Drowzee: [Psybeam move] DROW...ZEE!
Meowth: Wobbuffet, your cue!
Wobbuffet: [Mirror Coat move] WOBBU...FFET!
Drowzee: [Teleport move] DROW! [reappears in a different spot]
Meowth: Alright, Drowzee! [leaps up] Taste my Fury Swipes!
Simon Says: Hypnosis!
Drowzee: [waving its arms; Hypnosis move] DROWZEE, DROWZEE, DROWZEE...
Meowth: Eh?!
That made Meowth fall under its spell!
Meowth: [groans]
And then, he fell asleep!
Wobbuffet: [horrified] WOBBUFFET!
Simon Says: Three down, one to go!
Wobbuffet: [scared] WOBBU!
Simon Says: Simon says... SCRAM!
Wobbuffet: [scared; runs off] WAH-OB! WOBBU WOBBU WOB!
Gabriel: I never knew that big blue blob was a coward.
Simon Says: [laughs] And I didn't even have to use any of my cards!
Drowzee: DROWZEE...
Meanwhile, Cat Noir arrived on one of the balconies, only for the hypnotized people to attack him. Ash and Ladybug, in Adrien's room, were dodging more of them.
Ash: [holding up Adrien's swivel chair like a lion tamer] Back! Back I say!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking wildly; threatening] PIKACHU!
Ash: Oh, where's Cat Noir when you need him?
Ladybug: [dodging the hypnotized citizens] He'll be here soon, Ash! Don't worry!
Ash: I hope so! There's just too many of them!
Gengar: [Psychic move] GENGAR!
That made some of the hypnotized people get blown back!
Ladybug: Great work, Gengar!
Ash: Yeah! But it's not enough! Pikachu, Electroweb!
Pikachu: [Electroweb move] PIKA...PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA...CHU-PIKA!
Some of the hypnotized civilians were trapped in the Electroweb!
Ash: That should hold them!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ladybug dodged and flipped over the oncoming citizens under control, with Ash running behind and using his psychic powers. They went to Gabriel's room, only to see knocked-over paintings, the security terminal, Jessie and James acting like chickens, Meowth asleep, and Gabriel nowhere to be seen.
Ash: Looks like we missed quite a party!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Gengar: GENGAR!
Ash: But where's Mr. Agreste?
Ladybug: Simon Says must've gotten to him!
Ash: Rats! No doubt he's on his way back to the TVi studio!
Cat Noir: [appears in the window] Well, that's just great.
Ash: About time you showed up, Cat! What kept you?
Cat Noir: Bunch of hypnotized people! What did you think it was? Flying monkeys?
Ash: Never mind! We've gotta get back to the studio and rescue Mr. Agreste!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ash: Come on!
Then, he took the Mind Plate off and transformed back!
Ash: But first, a quick power change!
Then, he took out the Dread Plate!
Ash: In order to gain the upper hand!
[Transformation Sequence]
Ash: Dread Plate, [places the Dread Plate on his chest] activate!
Then, his clothes gained a black color scheme, and he gained shadow decals as well! When the transformation was complete, he seemed to be posing for a Dark-type Z-Move!
Ash: The Dark Knight rises again!
Cat Noir: [awed] Whoa...
Ash: I move like the shadows! I'm one with my surroundings! And I can even do this! [sinks into Cat Noir's shadow and takes control of him by manipulating his shadow to make him hit himself] Why're you hitting yourself? Why're you hitting yourself? Why're you hitting yourself?
Gengar: [laughs] GEN GEN GEN GEN GEN GEN GEN!
Ladybug: [giggles]
Cat Noir: Hey! Quit it!
Ash: [emerges from Cat Noir's shadow] Alright! Back to the task at hand! Let's go save Mr. Agreste!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKACHU!
Ash: Let's move!
And off they went! Meanwhile, at the TVi Studio, Simon Says was broadcasting his version of "The Challenge"!
Simon Says: Welcome to another exciting hour of "The Challenge"! Good evening again from Simon Says. Viewers, I've kept my promise. Here's Gabriel!
Gabriel appeared on cue, with the Gorilla accompanying him.
Gabriel: [grunts]
Simon Says: Simon says... you are a butterfly! [blows a butterfly card at him]
Gabriel: [starts flapping with his arms and jumping around] Flap flap, flutter flutter, flutter flutter, flap flap!
Drowzee seemed amused by this, but didn't say a word!
Our heroes arrived at the entrance, only to see Gabriel acting like a butterfly on the TVs!
Ash: Okay! Now that's just weird!
Pikachu: [agreeing; sweat drops] PIKACHU.
Ladybug: Never mind that! We've gotta save Mr. Agreste!
Cat Noir was very worried!
Simon Says: Tomorrow, [spreads his decks of cards] Butterfly, you will be no more.
Ash: Not if we have anything to say about it! Let's go!
Ladybug: [places her hand on his shoulder] Hold on, Ash. The Akuma's gotta be in one of those cards.
Cat Noir: But which one? There are so many of'em.
Ash: Then we're just gonna have to destroy the whole deck!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ash: Come on!
Then, our heroes burst into the studio!
Ash: Show's over, ya Riddler lookalike!
Simon Says: Ladybug, Cat Noir, you can save him by giving me your Miraculouses. Do the right thing...
Ladybug: In your dreams.
Ash: They'll give you their Miraculous as soon as a Bulbasaur flies!
Pikachu: [cheeks sparking threateningly] PIKACHU!
Gengar: [threatening] GENGAR!
Ash: Ladybug, I think it's time for some good luck to come our way!
Ladybug: Gotcha! [uses her power; tosses her yo-yo into the air] Lucky Charm!
And today's Lucky Charm was another yo-yo!
Cat Noir: A regular yo-yo? But you've got a magical one!
Ash: What are you supposed to do with a regular yo-yo?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Ladybug: I'll figure it out later.
Ash: Right! But for now... Gengar, get those cards!
Gengar: [grins] GENGAR!
Then, with Gengar's excellent speed and agility, it rushed in to get the cards!
Simon Says: Drowzee, use Psybeam!
Drowzee: [Psybeam move] DROW...ZEE!
Gengar: [hit] GEN!
Ash: Gengar!
Gengar: [saying it's fine] GENGAR!
Ash: Great job! Now, let's use Night Shade!
Gengar: [Night Shade move] GEN...GAR!
Simon Says: Simon says, counter with Psybeam!
Drowzee: [Psybeam move] DROW...ZEE!
Both attacks collided and cancelled each other out!
Ladybug: I've got this one! [charges while swinging her yo-yo around]
Simon Says: Simon says... your yo-yo is useless! [throws a card at the yo-yo]
Ash: Look out, Ladybug!
The card hit her yo-yo and it fell to the floor, rendering the tool of Ladybug useless!
Ash: Oh no!
Ladybug attempted to use it again, but the 'unbreakable' cord snapped.
Ash: Well, that's just great! Now what'll we do?
Cat Noir charged in with his staff!
Simon Says: Simon says... your stick is...
Ash: Ash says... Use Shadow Ball!
Gengar: [Shadow Ball move] GEN...GAR!
Simon Says: [hit] GUH!
This made him lose the card he intended to throw at Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: Useless? I don't think so. [fights Simon Says] I'm not gonna let you get a word in edgewise!
Ash: Yeah! You show 'im, Cat Noir!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ash: [to Ladybug] Now, about your weapon?
Ladybug: I'll worry about that later! [points to the cards scattered on the ground] Look!
Ash: [gasps] The cards!
Ash, Ladybug, Pikachu, and Gengar were ripping up the cards, to see if the Akuma is in one of them.
Ash: Nothing! Nothing! Another nothing!
Pikachu: [frustrated] PIKACHU!
Gengar: [ripping them four at a time with Psychic] GAR! GAR! GAR! GAR! GAR!
Ash: Any Akuma?
Ladybug: No! Nothing yet!
Simon Says: Drowzee! Simon says use Hypnosis!
Drowzee: [waving its arms; Hypnosis move] DROWZEE, DROWZEE, DROWZEE...
Ash: [gasps] Ladybug! Cat Noir! Don't look!
They didn't need to be told twice as they covered their eyes!
Simon Says: You can't shield your eyes forever!
Ash: Time for Ash to guide their attacks from the shadows! Literally!
Then, Ash slipped into Cat Noir's shadow!
Cat Noir: Huh?
Ash: Shh. Keep your eyes shut, Cat. I'm gonna help you out by manipulating your shadow to attack! All you gotta do is just don't look!
Cat Noir: Uh... Okay? [as Ash begins to move him; grunts in surprise]
Ash: Trust me, Cat! It's the only way!
Then, Cat Noir, being controlled by Ash, began to fight Simon Says!
Simon Says: What?! How is this possible?! You can't even see where you're going or what you're doing!
Cat Noir: [smirks] Let's just say I have some inside help!
Simon Says: What help?! I don't see anyone!
Cat Noir: SURPRISE ATTACK!
Then, Ash appeared from Cat Noir's shadow!
Ash: [lands a Sucker Punch on Simon Says] HYAH!
Simon Says: [hit across the face] GUHOOF!
Ash: Bait and switch! Worked like a charm!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Then, Cat Noir and Ash shared a fist bump!
Simon Says: [growls] Simon says use Mega Punch!
Drowzee: [Mega Punch move] DROW...ZEE!
Gengar: [takes the hit] GEN! [grins smugly] GENGAR!
That was when Gengar's special ability, Cursed Body, went into effect!
Simon Says: Simon says use Mega Punch again!
Drowzee: [tries to use Mega Punch] DROW... [shakes] D-D-DROW!
Simon Says: What's this?! What's going on?!
Ash: [while he snaps his fingers] What's going on is Cursed Body! How did I not see this sooner?!
Cat Noir: What's Cursed Body?
Ash: It's an ability exclusive to Ghost-type Pokémon! When activated, it disables a Pokémon's move it recently used!
Cat Noir: Now that's handy!
Ladybug: That means one less move it's able to use!
Ash: But there's still the others!
Simon Says: No matter! Simon says use Psybeam!
Drowzee: [Psybeam move] DROWZEE!
Gengar: [hit] GEN! [confused; eyes spinning around] GENGAR!
Ladybug: Oh no! It's confused!
Ash: Snap out of it, Gengar!
Then, Gengar slapped himself in the face!
Gengar: [slapping itself] GEN GEN GEN GEN GEN GEN! [pulls on its face] GENGAR! [regains its focus; determined] GENGAR!
Ladybug: Whoa!
Cat Noir: Well, that happened!
Ash: It snapped itself out of its confusion! Awesome!
Gengar: [grins] GENGAR!
Simon Says: Impossible!
Ash: Nothing is impossible with a strong bond! Now, Gengar! Ice Punch!
Gengar: [Ice Punch move] GEN...GAR!
Drowzee: [pained] DROW!
That froze Drowzee's body in ice!
Ladybug: It's frozen!
Ash: That can sometimes happen!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Ladybug: At least that's one minion down!
Simon Says: What?! No!
Ash: You're outnumbered now, you Riddler lookalike! Pikachu, Thunderbolt!
Pikachu: [Thunderbolt move] PIKACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
Simon Says: [electrocuted; exclaiming]
Ash: Get him!
Then, they continued to fight Simon Says!
Simon Says: Simon says...
Cat Noir: [taunting] Na-na-na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na-na-na.
Ash: [taunting] You can't get us!
Simon Says: It doesn't matter whether you can hear me or not, all that is important is what Simon says!
Ash: Yeah?! Well, Ash says eat my shorts!
Ladybug: Ash! Language!
Cat Noir: [snickers] Eat my shorts!
Ladybug: Stop that! You'll only encourage him!
Simon Says: [shuffling his cards] Simon says remove your Miraculous and give it to me! [tosses multiple cards]
Ash: [creates two purple tinted blades and begins to slice each and every one to shreds]
Gabriel: [prancing around while flapping his arms] ...Flap, flutter, flutter, flap...
Ash: Okay. That's getting ridiculous.
Pikachu: [sweat drops] PIKACHU...
Simon Says: Simon says... take off like an airplane! [throws an airplane card at Gabriel and he starts acting like an airplane, he runs out the room, making airplane-noises]
Cat Noir: He's headed for the roof. We got to stop him.
But Ladybug stops him by grabbing his tail!
Ladybug: This is our last chance to capture the Akuma and I can't do it alone! If we free Simon Says, we free Mr. Agreste too!
Cat Noir: Then let's not waste another minute.
Simon Says: And how will you defeat me without your yo-yo?
Gabriel arrived onto the roof and starts running around like an airplane!
Simon Says: Simon says... it's over! [throws black cards at them, but Cat Noir hits them with his baton]
Ladybug: Follow my lead.
Simon Says: Simon says...
Ladybug knocked the deck of cards out of Simon Says' hands with the regular yo-yo and kicked him in the chest!
Ash: Now, Pikachu, snare him with Electroweb!
Pikachu: [Electroweb move] PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA... CHU PIKA!
Simon Says was trapped in the Electroweb, while Cat Noir stepped on the yo-yo with Ladybug hoisting him up into the air!
Cat Noir: [uses his power] Cataclysm!
Then, his hand glowed a black bubbly energy and he uses it on the cards, disintegrating them! Cat Noir threw the deck to Ladybug, who threw it on the ground, making the Akuma fly out.
Simon Says: That's not possible! I made your yo-yo useless!
Ladybug: This one yes, [holds up her normal yo-yo] but not [holds up her Lucky Charm yo-yo] that one.
Ash: Checkmate!
Ladybug: [throws the Lucky Charm into the air] Miraculous Ladybug!
Its energy de-hypnotized all the people in Paris, and Drowzee was unfrozen. Gabriel gets dehypnotized right before he's about to jump of the TVi tower, making him gulp and walk backwards. Ladybug's yo-yo was also fixed thanks to the magic.
Ladybug: My yo-yo!
Ash: Alright! Now, do your thing with that Akuma!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: Right! [opens her yo-yo] No more evil-doing for you, little Akuma! [swings her yo-yo around] Time to de-evilize! [catches the Akuma] Gotcha! [purifies it and releases it as a normal butterfly] Bye-bye, little butterfly!
Then, Simon Says was turned back into Simon!
Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Ash: [fist bump] Pound it!
Pikachu: [joins in] PIKA!
Gengar: [joins in] GENGAR!
Ash: And now, to deal with one little detail! [takes the Team Rocket PokéBall and smashes it] There! And now, [pulls out an empty PokéBall] while it's out cold! [tosses it]
The PokéBall hit Drowzee and it got sucked into it! And with a few shakes and a 'ping', Drowzee was caught!
Rotom Phone: Drowzee has been registered to your Pokédex!
Ash: One Pokémon out of Team Rocket's clutches and in the ball!
Cat Noir: You planning on keeping it?
Ash: Not exactly, Cat Noir!
Ladybug: Then, what're you gonna do with it?
Ash: [walks over to Simon] Giving it a new home!
Ladybug and Cat Noir: Huh?
Ash: Mr. Simon?
Simon: [looks up] Hm? Mr. Ketchum? What happened?
Ash: You fell under Hawk Moth's spell because of Mr. Agreste turning down your challenge! But don't worry! You're safe now!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!
Simon: Thank you!
Ash: Our pleasure! Now, you say you're a hypnotist, right?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Simon: Yes, I am!
Ash: Well, if you want them to think you're gonna make them do what you say through hypnosis, then do I have the Pokémon for you who is in need of a new home! [opens the PokéBall]
Drowzee: [appearing] DROWZEE DROWZ...
Ash: Mr. Simon, meet Drowzee! A Pokémon capable of using hypnotic and Psychic powers!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Simon: Hypnotic powers you say?
Ash: Uh-huh! You can certainly convince that Alec that you can control people with Drowzee's help!
Simon: Really?
Ash: Yeah! [to Drowzee] Now, Drowzee! You be good to Mr. Simon and do whatever he says! Okay?
Ladybug: [kneels down to Drowzee's level] You don't have to work for Team Rocket anymore! You're free!
Drowzee: [nods] DROWZEE.
Ash: Drowzee's all yours, Simon!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Simon: Thank you!
Drowzee: [holds out its hand] DROWZ.
Simon: [takes it; smiles] Hm.
Ladybug smiled from the sight of the newfound friendship and placed her hand on Ash's shoulder.
Ladybug: You did a good thing, Ash!
Ash: Well, they don't usually say I'm big-hearted for nothing!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA PI!
Ladybug: That's for sure!
Cat Noir: I couldn't agree more!
Ash: [smiles; gasps] Mr. Agreste! He must still be on the roof!
Ladybug: Oh! Right! I almost forgot!
Gengar: [floats through the ceiling] GENGAR!
Ash: Looks like Gengar's already on it!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Cat Noir: Follow that ghost!
And off they went! They arrived at the roof and saw Gabriel in a state of confusion.
Cat Noir: I'm afraid your flight's been canceled, sir.
Gabriel: You?
Cat Noir: Prefer [puts his arm around Ladybug's shoulder] Ladybug? Can't say I blame you.
Ash: [shakes his head in amusement]
Pikachu: [smiles] PIKACHU!
Gengar: [snickers] GENGAR!
Ladybug: [takes his arm off her; grabs his hand] Cat Noir, your ring! You better get out of here.
Cat Noir: Like a cat on a hot tin roof. See you again soon, Mr. Agreste. [shakes hands with Gabriel, who looks at Cat Noir's ring] And you, [bows to Ladybug] m'lady. [runs away]
Gabriel: Hmm...
Ash: Don't worry, Ladybug! I'll take Mr. Agreste home! [takes off the Dread Plate and transforms back] You had best be going before you transform back!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKA!
Ladybug: Okay, Ash! See you later! [swings away on her yo-yo] Bug out!
Ash: [to Gabriel] I'll take you home now, Mr. Agreste!
Gabriel: Thank you!
Ash: [pulls out Dragonite's PokéBall] I hope you like flying and aren't afraid of heights! [opens it]
Dragonite: [appearing] BRWAR! [to Gabriel; greeting] BRWAR!
Ash: [climbs onto Dragonite's back] All aboard the Dragonite Airlines!
Pikachu: [jumps onto Ash's shoulder] PIKA!
Ash: Come on, Mr. Agreste!
Gabriel nodded and boarded onto Dragonite.
Ash: Hang on tight! Let's go, Dragonite! To the Agreste Mansion!
Dragonite took off to the Agreste Manor! With Adrien, he was in his room with Plagg and Litten while looking at a picture of his mom from his phone.
Litten: LITTEN?
However, Adrien had a sad look upon his face. He really misses his mother!
Litten: [concerned] LITTEN?
Adrien: [smiles sadly] I'm okay, Litten. I just really miss her, that's all.
Litten: [licks his cheek]
Adrien smiled from the comfort of his Fire Cat Pokémon and rubbed its head!
Adrien: Thanks, Litten.
Plagg heard the door opening so he hid in Adrien's button down shirt.
Litten: LITTEN?
Gabriel came into the room and approached his son, pulling him into a hug. Adrien looked very surprised by this and hugged his father back!
Litten: [smiles] LITTEN!
Gabriel: [notices Adrien's ring; gasps; takes his hand] I've never noticed your ring before.
Adrien: Huh? [crosses his arms] Is that the only thing you've never noticed about me?
Gabriel: I'm glad everything worked out for the best.
When Gabriel left Adrien's room, Plagg appeared on Adrien's shirt when he is concerned after Adrien and his father hugged each other.
Plagg: Hmm?
Litten: LITTEN?
One week later, The Challenge was on the air again and being broadcasted at the TVi Studio.
Alec: Welcome back to everyone's #1 game show, The Challenge! Last week, our cool DJ friend Nino won the challenge, along with one of our city's famous heroes, Ash. So, let's welcome them back again. Come on out, DJ Nino and Ash Ketchum!
Then, the two friends went up onto the stage! Juleka and Rose were watching Ash on the show from Rose's phone, while the two girls were at the park!
Rose: Ooh. This is so exciting!
Juleka: [smiles determinedly] You've got this, babe.
Rockruff: RUFF!
Alec: Alright, Ash! My challenge for you is to make a grumpy monkey laugh!
Ash: A grumpy monkey?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Ash: What grumpy monkey?
That's when a grumpy looking gorilla was brought in!
Ash: Oh! A gorilla!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Ash: And you want me to make it laugh?
Alec: You got it!
Ash: [smiles determinedly] Okay! Here goes nothing!
Pikachu: [determined] PIKACHU!
Nino: You go, Ash!
Ash: I've got this, Nino! [starts to approach the gorilla] Okay, big guy! Let's see if we can—
But then, he tripped!
Ash: WHOA! [falls face first] OOF!
Pikachu: [shocked] PIKA!
Alec: [cringes] Oh.
Nino: [cringes] Dude.
Adrien: [cringes] That's gotta hurt.
Litten: [agreeing] LITTEN.
Rose and Juleka: [gasps]
Rockruff: [covers its eyes with its paws] ARR.
Ash: [swirls in eyes] Ouch.
And to everyone's surprise, the gorilla started to laugh!
Gorilla: [laughing and grunting; clapping]
Alec: Whoa! I didn't even start the timer yet and the gorilla is laughing! Congratulations! You conquered my challenge!
Ash: [snaps out of it] I did?
Alec: With flying colors!
Ash: But what did I even do?
Alec: You just fell flat on your face and the gorilla burst into laughter! Congratulations!
Ash: [blinks in confusion] Oh well. A win is a win.
Gorilla: [clapping; grunting]
Ash: [giggles]
While Ash made his way off the stage towards Adrien, he received a text message from Juleka!
Ash: Huh? [pulls out his Rotom Phone]
Juleka (text): Hey, babe.
Ash: [smiles; texts] Hey, Jules!
Juleka (text): I saw you on "The Challenge". Congrats on your win.
Ash: [texts] Thanks a lot, Juleka! I did not expect I'd win this way!
Juleka (text): I'm still proud of you either way.
Ash: [texts] Thanks, Jules! You're awesome!
Juleka (text):
Ash smiled and texted a red heart!
Ash: [sighs] I love that girl!
Pikachu: [smiles] PIKACHU!
Adrien: I know you do, Ash! [nudges Ash's arm playfully] You Casanova!
Ash: [giggles]
Meanwhile, at the bakery, Marinette and her parents were in the living room while going over her weekly attendance at school.
Tom: [looking at Marinette's attendance sheet] Looks like you weren't absent or late all week! Excellent news, Marinette. [sits down] You can go join your friends on the set.
Popplio: [happy] LIO!
Marinette: I think I'd rather watch with you guys.
Popplio: POP?
Marinette: [sits down with her parents] That's... if you and Mom would like that?
The Dupain-Cheng family smiled and hugged!
Popplio: [joins in; saying "big hug"] POPPLIO!
Marinette: [giggles] Aw, Popplio! [cradles her] My baby girl! [tickles her chin; coos] You are so cute~!
Popplio: [happy] POP POP!
Sabine: We're proud to have you in our family, Popplio!
Tom: [rubs Popplio's head] Our beautiful granddaughter!
Popplio: [happy] POPPLIO!
Alec: [on TV; opening an envelope] So we upped the challenge for you tonight, Nino. [takes out a piece of paper] You're gonna have to get two celebrities dancing instead of one! However, this time, you can choose your opponents.
Nino: Oh, I've got this one in the bag. I'm gonna pick two buds I know won't let me down.
Popplio: [saying "Uncle Nino"] POPPLIO!
Ash: Who is Nino talking about?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Nino: Ladybug and Cat Noir!
Ash: Ladybug and Cat Noir?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Marinette: [gasps in shock]
Popplio: POP?!
Marinette: Uh… [gets up from the couch] On second thought, I'm wiped. I'm gonna take a nap. Don't wanna be late for school tomorrow! And, you know, mess up that perfect school record! Tell me what happens, 'kay?
Tom: Sure.
Sabine: Of course, honey.
Marinette: Come on, Popplio sweetie! Naptime!
Popplio: [follows Marinette up to her room] POPPLIO!
Tom: Sometimes I just can't figure that girl out.
Sabine: [places her hand on his arm] Oh, give her a break. You know there's nothing more demanding than going to school! [hugs Tom; chuckles]
After placing Popplio down for a nap, Marinette transformed into Ladybug, went onto the roof and swung her way to the studio on her yo-yo!
Narrator: I guess sometimes, life has its ups and downs! But regardless, Ash has saved Mr. Agreste! And Team Rocket's currently playing butlers and maid for him! And Drowzee has found a new a home!
