DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN BROTHERS CONFLICT IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM
"Wow, never thought I'd be having breakfast at the palace, like this," Alex said as he came into the dinging room himself.
"Good morning Alex," Erica and Hannah both said as he took a seat closest to his fellow council members.
"Hey," Alex replied.
"Did you sleep well Mr. Mayter?" King Stephon asked.
"Yeah not too bad," Alex admitted.
"Good," King Stephon said, "I wanted to ask you something. I know you're mostly opposed to the monarch. However, based on your actions last night, I would still want to offer you a knighthood."
"Knighthood? Me?" Alex asked a little startled.
"Yes, I feel that you more than deserve the honor," King Stephon insisted.
"I, um, can I think about it your majesty?" Alex sputtered.
"Absolutely!" King Stephon declared, "you let me know the instant you've made up your mind. Pherhaps you should take it up with your father as well."
"Ah, yes, thank you your majesty! Alex said.
"Yes, we didn't properly thank you for helping us yesterday," Masaomi spoke up, "it was very brave and gallant of you to come help save us like."
"Yes, thank you," Azusa also said.
"Thank you," Subaru said as well.
"Thank you, kind sir," Louis said too.
Wataru ran over to Alex and bowed to him.
"You were brave like a real knight should be," he said.
"Thanks," Alex said to the little boy, "you're lucky your big brothers are all sti here. I always wish mine was."
"Well I bet your big brother's proud of you!" Wataru declared, "he'd be proud to have his brother be a knight!"
"Thanks kid," Alex replied.
"Wataru, let Alex finish his breakfast," Masaomi advised.
"Well, this is a lovely sight!" Lord Markus said as he joined everyone accompanied by Sophie.
"Lady Sophie!" Wataru said happily as he ran to her, "guess what?! Last night when we went back to check on the stables, the mare had her foal! We watched the whole thing!"
"Oh, how wonderful!" Sophie said, "a new life, a new symbol of a new beginning for this country!"
"Everything does feel new today, doesn't it?" Louis asked.
Sophie looked back at him before looking back down at Wataru.
Wataru nodded. "Go ahead," he allowed. Sophie smiled and walked over to Louis. As she approached, Louis stood up and both hugged tight.
"I'm glad to see you're doing well this morning Louis," she whispered.
"Me too," Louis said, "I don't think I'd ever want to go through another night like that. But I'm grateful for what it brought us."
"Yes, we still need to talk about that," King Stephon mentioned.
"Yes my king," Louis said.
"Oh Lord Markus, good news," Ema said, "Grandfather agreed to parden my dad over the kidnapping charges."
"Good! They were phoney charges to begin with and should never have been issued!" Markus declared.
"Hmm?" King Stephon muttered.
"Not that I don't understand why they were issued in the first place, your majesty," Markus quickly added.
"Yes," King Stephon said.
"Anyway, I think I'm done with my breakfast," Azusa suddenly spoke up, "Wataru, are you done? Did you want to head to the stables?"
"Yes!" Wataru shouted as he shoved the rest of his food into his mouth.
"I'll join you guys soon," Subaru said as he ate a little more quicker.
"Wait up, I want to see the baby too!" Bea said as she put her napkin up and stood. Tsubaki stood up with her.
"You know we locked some of the bad guys in with your horse last night so they wouldn't get away?" Wataru asked her.
"Did you?" Bea said with a laugh. "I'm sure Valkyrie gave them a good run for their money!"
"Are you coming too Big Sister?" Wataru asked.
"Maybe later, after I've spoken to Grandfather with Louis," Ema said.
"Oh okay," Wataru said as he finally walked out with his brothers.
"I'm sure you'll get to see it soon," Stephon said.
"Sire, King Dimitri and Prince Oliver have arraived," Richard said as he ran into the dinging room.
"Oh, well there's that," King Stephon said, "where's Prince Zane?"
"Still in his room, having his breakfast. His father and grandfather are heading stright there," Richard informed.
"Tell Dimitri and Oliver if they wish to talk I'll get to them once I've had a chance to fully talk to Ema and Louis," said Stephon, "and also, Miss Tanner, Miss Andrews, Mr. Mayter? May I please requst some time with you as memebers of the house of council?"
"Um, of course your majesty," Erica answered for the three of them.
"Thank you," Stephon replied, "I'd ask you to join us as well Ukyo, but you're not an offcial member of the house of council and you are Ema's brother."
Ukyo nodded in understanding.
"Um, Louis, are you done with breakfast?" Ema asked.
"Just about," Louis said, patting his mouth with his napkin.
"Chrissy, would you escort them to the south east library? I'll join soon," King Stephon instructed. Chrissy nodded.
Louis bent down and gave Sophie a small hug again, "can we meet later?"
"Of course," Sophie promised.
"So your niece and Louis actually managed to get together after all, hmm Markus?" Stephon joked.
"Well, maybe they had a stronger bond than their parents realized," Markus replied smiling towards Sophie.
"Majesty," Billy said as he walked in, "um Miss Heather Cook has arraived and she's brought with her dress boxes with her."
"Oh wonderful!" Hikaru cheered, "she's here with her dresses!"
"Richard, can you have someone set up a room where the ladies can help try on their gowns," King Stephon ordered, "when they're ready of course."
"Yes sire," Richard acknowledged.
"Oh and there's a delivery for Lord Futo, also a dress I believe?" Billy mentioned.
"Oh your gown's arraived, good," Futo said looking at Ami.
"Yes, I suppose," Ami said softly.
"Can we have a private room for her to change?" Futo asked.
"Of course," King Stephon said as he cast a glance towards Ami, "take as long as you need."
"I'd like for her to have a full day off if that's alright," Futo said.
"Absolutely," King Stephon declared, "and same goes for any other staff members you boys are friends with. Unless they want to work.
Futo nodded and stood up. He grabbed Ami's hand and gently pulled her along, "we'll get you into your civilian clothes once we're done trying on the dress."
"Ok," Ami said as she followed quietly.
"Girl seems rattled," King Stephon mentioned.
"Well sire," Richard whispered into his ear. King Stephon's widen.
"That's where she shot him?!" he said. Richard nodded. "Oh, my, goodness. Well, this time, it's excusable. No charges."
"No problem," Richard agreed with a smirk. Just then his radio went off.
"Yusuke," he said, "when you're done, King Dimitri and Prince Oliver want to see you in Prince Zane's room."
"Me why?" Yusuke asked.
"They want to talk to you about last night," Richard explained.
"Hope it's not bad," said Yusuke as he stood up.
"I doubt it, Stephon assured him. Subaru finished his food and hurried after him.
"Can I get somebody to help me get my flower arrangement I made with Miss Jane yesterday delivered to the university?" Iori asked.
"Where's it at?" Richard asked, fiddling with his phone.
"We left it in the conservatory before we were chased," Iori said.
"I'll see to it somebody meets you there," Richard assured him.
"Thank you," Iori, "once we get that taken care of, I'll see to it Lady Jane goes and tries on her dress."
"Yes, I'm sure Hikaru and Miss Heather are eagerly awaiting their victims," Kaname joked, "oh excuse me, lady models."
"Victims sounds better actually," Emily muttered.
"Why don't we go get your dressed fitted then see about that new info over the folklore of the brother wizards," Natsume suggested.
"That's where I regonized you from," Markus suddenly spoke up, "your Professor Smith's daughter, aren't you?"
"You knew my dad?" Emily asked.
"Sure, he and I were colleagues in college. How's the old boy doing?" Markus asked.
"Well actually," Emily sputtered.
"Yes, he was always a little scattered brain, but still somehow a genius," Markus said.
"Yeah, but, I still think it's time for him to retire,"Emily said.
"Isn't that true," Elizabeth agreed.
"You must his other daughter," Markus said, "sorry I didn't regonized you before."
"Well, I am only technically his stepdaughter," Elizabeth.
"No, no, I remember when he was getting ready to marry your mother. He was excited of gaining a beautiful wife and an adorable daughter right away," Markus insisted, "should have realized it was you."
"You mean, he was excited to become my father?" Elizabeth asked.
"Very much so, even with his crazy mind, he always had ambition to be a good father." Markus maintained.
"Hmm," Elizabeth sighed a little happy.
"Makes you think a little more about the relationship with your family, hmm?" Kaname said.
"Why don't I go with you Em, to try on my dress, so we can talk some more," Elizabeth said as she quickly stood up.
"Sounds almost tantalizing," Kaname joked as he followed her out.
"Are you always a perv?" Natsume muttered as he followed along with Emily.
"Guess we should wait until they are done trying on their dresses before we do ours. They sound like they need some time alone," Erica said.
"We can arrange another changing room for you ladies," Richard assured her.
"Oh, well let's go get this done with," Hannah said as she stood up, along with Erica.
"I guess I'll just find a place to chill until his highness is ready for me," Alex said as he stood up, "got a good TV anywhere around here?"
"Head stright out here, take your first left, then another left and a right. You'll find a green door, you can watch TV there."
"Thanks," Alex said, "hope I don't get lost."
"No one's ever died from getting lost," Markus called out, "just a lost a few pounds."
"Oh, that's comforting," Alex joked as he headed out.
Stephon watched before he spoke up again, "I'll have to talk with the prime minister too about Ema and Louis."
"About their declaration?" Markus asked.
"It's one thing to just blurt out something, it's another thing to officially experience it," King Stephon explained.
"Want me to help out at all?" Markus asked.
"Would you?" Stephon request.
"I know just the book to use," Markus answered.
"I think they'd make a good queen or king," Sophie said.
"Sure, but is it the life they truly want?" Stephon pointed out. Sophie nodded as she suddenly understood.
"I, think I'll go see if I can either get my dress fitted or go join Wataru and see this new foal myself," she said as she stood up.
"I'll meet you in the library," Markus said as he also hurried out.
"Your majesty?" Richard asked as the king stood.
"Yes?" Stephon said, walking to the library.
"Even if Princess Ema and Lord Louis' happiness wasn't on the line with this type of life, do you honestly think that either would make a good queen or king?"
"Very much so," Stephon insisted, "but times have changed. Circumstances has changed. That means we have to worry about making changes for the country."
Wataru skiped and danced as he headed to the stables with his brothers and Bea.
"So you really going to name it after your sister or Sophie if it's a filly?" Bea asked.
"Maybe," Wataru said as he kept dancing and skipping, "maybe I can give it a cool storm name like Wind Storm or his brother Storm!"
"Well there you are!" Rose greeted them at the front of the stables, "was wondering when you were going to show up Wataru! The foal needs a name!"
"Did you find out what it was?!" Wataru asked as he headed to the birthing stall. There they saw Natasha comforting the mare while a vet was looking over the foal.
Natasha looked over at everyone watching and waved. She then gestured in.
Wataru careful opened the door.
"Can I really come in?" He asked a little timid.
"Sure, just don't get too close to the baby just yet," Natasha advised.
Wataru slowly walked in, and Azusa actually followed. Wataru watched as the vet finish examining and tending to the foal before the baby started walking around on its own.
"Good to see the foal's looking healthy," Azusa said.
"Yes, the birth was smooth and safe as one could hope for," the vet said as he put away some of his equipment.
"So what is it? A boy or a girl?" Wataru asked eagerly.
"You ready?" Natasha asked, it is a, Filly!"
"You mean it's a girl?!" Wataru said excited.
"Yep!" Natasha confirmed with a smile.
"Yay!" Wataru cheered, actually getting the attention of the filly, "that means we can name her Ema or Sophie!"
"Oh, was that the names we wer going with?" Natasha asked a little uncertain.
"Is something wrong with those names?" Azusa asked.
"Well, I've been kind of calling her Hinode all morning," Natasha admitted.
"Hindoe? Like Sunrise?" Azusa asked.
"Yeah, I thought it might be nice to give her a Japanese name in honor of Princess Ema and you guys and Hinode seemed like a good fit since with Princess Ema sort of kicking Robert out, it sort of reflects a new day, a new sunrise," Natasha explained.
"Ohh," Wataru said in amazement, "I like that! Let's do it! Let's keep the name Hindoe!"
"Ah, thanks," Natasha said happily.
At that, the now deemed Hindoe slowly walked over to Wataru and sniffed him.
"I think she likes me!" Wataru said excited.
"Well can't blame her!" Tsubaki called from the door with Bea.
"So Hinode?" Bea asked.
"It means sunrise," Tsubaki explained.
"Oh," Bea said, "boy I've got a lot to learn before I move to Japan!"
"Don't worry, you'll have me the whole time," Tsubaki assured her," putting his arm around her.
Ema and Louis both sat a little nervous waiting for the king to arraived.
"Do you think he doesn't want us to maybe king or queen after him?" Ema asked.
"Maybe, but probably in a good way," Louis assured her, "we haven't been at this for too long. He might understandably want someone who has more experience."
Ema nodded, "but I thought Robert scared away any other qualified members of the royal family?"
"Maybe they might feel more comfortable stepping up noe that he's not a threat?" Louis suggested.
Ema sighed, "you know, I actually really felt that I meant it when I said I'm willing to be queen. I almost felt like my mother was helping me step up and push Robert out."
Louis pondered what she said. "I guess I could relate. I'm almost certain my father was pushing me to do the same. Or at least he was pushing me to possibly just block Robert."
"Do you think that was what my mother was doing and your father doing that?" Ema asked.
"What did her mother and father do dear?" Stephon asked as he came into the room.
"i was wondering what my mother's intentions were if she had been there helping me to tell Robert to get out," Ema explained, "along witb Louis' father."
"Oh, yes," King Stephon, "I'm sure she had some high expectations for you. Even if she was only with for a short time. Now let's get down to business. Last both of you said you intended to step up and be my heirs to the throne."
"Yes, and I'd like to stick to what I said," Ema insisted.
"As do I," Louis said bowing his head, "at least until Chi produces an heir of her own, one that would have more right to be king or queen before me."
Ema blushed at Louis' comment. King Stephon however remain stirn.
"And you realize what will happen if either of you do in fact becomes queen or king, right?" he said, "you'll have little to no free time. You'll always be busy, always on a schedule. You'll have to make long, sometimes hard trips, often at the last minute. And you'll have the whole responsibility of every man, woman and child's wellbeing on your shoulders for the rest of your life."
"I understand Grandfather," Ema said going serious again.
"As do I, grandfather," Louis said.
King Stephon gave Louis a half-smile.
"That's nice to hear, and I like to believe you," he continued, "however, many a person don't understand the full weight of ruling a kingdom until it is thrust upon them. Myself included. I had no real grasp of what I was supposed to do when I became king. And I had been raised for such a purpose! I felt so lost and confused when I became king. I still feel lost and confused sometimes with my role. I worry I'm not doing a good enough job. That I've done some irreversible damage to the country and its people."
"But, you are are a good king Grandfather," Ema insisted.
"Maybe on the surface, but who knows if there's some deep rooted problems I've caused that is causing problems for the people," King Stephon explained, "you have to take many risks when you're a ruler."
"I understand," Ema assured him, "I will always do my best and take responsibility for my consequences."
"Hmm," King Stephon sighed nodding. "You sound so much like your mother everytime you try and insist you can handle being queen after me."
"How are we doing?" Markus asked as he walked into the room, holding one of his big red books.
"Well, I haven't swayed them otherwise," King Stephon said.
"Grandfather," Louis spoke up, "are you trying to get us to step down and not succeed you?"
"I want you to fully understand what you're getting into," King Stephon explained as Markus put down his book and opened it. There was a page of an old time looking Nobel.
"Oh, Prince Clement," Louis muttered.
"Who?" Ema asked.
"You've heard of Prince Clement huh?" Markus asked.
"Yes, I heard of him from a history lesson Sophie was giving Wataru. He was a cruel prince who got the peasants so mad at him they ambushed and killed him."
"Yes and he wasn't the only one of his family that was murdered. His brother that became king after him, King Edmund the 1st, was murdered by his own wife, so she and her own father could raise her daughter, Chandra the 2nd, their only child, to be a queen they saw fit," Markus added as he turned a page that showed both King Edmund and Queen Chandra.
"Then there was Queen Rochelle, wife of King Thomas the 5th. After her first born son Prince Thomas died young and their second son, the future King Henry, was born sickly. Many predicted he too would die young. That seemed like a perfect opening for the king's mistress, Lady Kenna, to try and push her way to be queen. This was around the famous time King Henry the 8th of England's was starting to try and get his first divorced from Queen Catherine of Aragon. So Queen Rochelle was naturally frightened she could face the same fate. As such, she had Lady Kenna arrested on trumped on charges of treason and most likely had her poison while in prison."
Markus turned to another page that showed King Thomas, Queen Rochelle and Lady Kenna.
Louis and Ema shared a look.
"And let's see, King Christian the 4th who became king at 12. His advisors were positive he could still do the job with their help. But it was botched miserably. After 6 years, he was more or less forced out by his cousin. Fortunately his cousin wasn't a thing like Robert and helped fixed some of the damgaged done and even brought in King Christian's nephew to succeed him over his own children."
"And these are only a few examples," King Stephon added, "there's much more of rulers dealing with difficulties during their time in the throne."
"That, does sound frightening," Ema admitted, "and I will admit, I was scared before hand. I just didn't want the fear to overcome me."
"Good girl," King Stephon said, "and you Louis?"
"I would be terrified of being king. However, like Chi, I don't want it to keep me down," Louis said.
"Good boy," Lord Markus said.
"I see you two are set in your ways," King Stephon said sounding a little satisfied, "you may go now. I have to get ready for the prime minister and my press conference."
"Funny you should mention that sire," Richard said as he walked in, "I've just come to tell you she's here."
"Very good, Louis, Ema, please be on your way," King Stephon asked.
"We can talk later too Grandfather, if you're still uncertain," Ema said.
"No, I think I'm more positive in what I want to do," King Stephon insisted, patting Ema's hand.
"Shall I give you a moment as well?" Markus asked.
"Could you?" Stephon asked.
"I'll just put my book back," Markus said as he hurried out.
Soon the Prime minister came in instead.
"Good morning, your majesty, I hope you got some rest," Mrs. Cook said as she sat down.
"Well enough," King Stephon acknowledged.
"Hello your majesty," Erica said as she and Hannah said as they also entered.
"Are we ready then?" Alex also asked as he came in.
"Go ahead and sit down," Stephon instructed, "this may take a moment."
"So Chi, did you...," Louis started to ask as he and Ema left the library. However, he soon realized Ema had stopped and looked back towards the libary door as not only did Prime Minister Cook walkrd in, but was soon followed by Erica, Hannah and eventually Alex.
"I think I want to wait," Ema finally said as she made herself comfortable in a nearby loveseat. Louis sat next to her.
"Then we'll wait together," he said as a form of comfort. He reached over and squeezed her hand.
"Louis?" Ema asked, "do you think we would have been better off if we never discovered our royal or Elence roots? If we had just sort of lived out our lives in mystery of not knowing who we really were?"
"No," Louis said, "I think it's important to know about our true selves, that way we can grow as people and maybe even develop better relationships with those around us, especially our family."
Ema nodded. She had to admit coming here, and just finding out about her grandfather has seemed to make her feel like aperson in general. She smiled at Louis as she squeezed his hand back.
Almost an hour later the doors to the library finally opened and King Stephon emerged followed by the prime minister, Erica, Hannah and Alex. Each had a stern and determined look
"Grandfather?" Ema said as she stood up.
King Stephon smiled at her, "go wait in Pearl Lounge, you're other brothers will join you shortly."
"Yes Grandfather," Ema agreed without arguing.
She and Louis quickly headed to the lounge where they found a huge TV practically taking up the room.
Ema and Louis decided to just sit and wait for what was coming back.
"Ema, Louis, we were told to come in here," Masaomi said as he and Ukyo walked in.
"Yes Grandfather said he wanted us all here," Ema said.
"Is it anything bad?" Natsume asked as he came in along with Kaname, and Hikaru.
"We'll find out soon," Louis said.
"What the king's not even in here?" Futo said annoyed as he walked in.
"Was he supposed to be here?" Iori asked as he also walked in.
"He's getting ready for something," Ema told them.
"What's going on?" Wataru asked as he came running in and over to Ema.
"Grandpa has something important to say," Ema tried to explain.
"Is he planning on making a skeptical of it or something?" Tsubaki asked as he walked in with Azusa and Subaru.
"I guess, since he said he wanted us all to be together when he does what he's planning on doing," Louis said.
"What is he planning? Is he trying something big or what?" Yusuke asked as he finally joined everyone.
"Just wait, I guess," Ema speculated. She patted the spot next to her. Yusuke quickly hurried and took the seat.
"Well that sure seems to conclude everything,' Hikaru noted as the brothers all saw the display.
"Oh good, you all made it," Billy said as he walked in and turned on the TV, "wasn't sure if you all would make it before it started.
On the screen was a what looked like a press conference being set up, complete with a stand of mics.
Suddenly Erica came onto the screen. She tapped on a few of the mics.
"Attention everyone," she said, "as a member of house of council, I would like to take this time to intorduce, King Stephon the 2nd of Elence."
She backed away from the stand and the king soon appeared dressed in his finest.
"Thank you Miss Tanner," Stephon said before assessing the camera. "My fellow countrymen. Recently certain events have come to light that will in fact change the course of our country's future.
It had come to my attention that my current heir, Lord Robert is no longer suited to be the king of this great country. As such, this leads me to turn to my granddaughter, Princess Ema, daughter of my own daughter Princess Yolanda. And my cousin, son of my own cousin, Lord Walter as the potential heirs.
However, given that both had lived their lives in the dark, unaware that they were in fact meant to become rulers of the country.
As such, I, King Stephon, on this day declare that, I will name Princess Ema and Lord Louis as my potential successors. And when I say potential, I mean, they will have a choice when the time comes.
I am giving the two of them an opening to experience life for themselves. So when the day comes when I am no longer of this world and a new king or queen is needed, both may chose the right to either step in to the role or respectfully decline."
"What?" Ema said.
"And should both decide they do not truly wish to be queen or king after me, Prime Minister Cook and a few selected representatives of the house of council, have agreed they will help bring together the house of parliament and house of council to do one of three things. One they will help select a another member of the royal family to step up and be my successor.
Two, they will select a new house worthy to vote for to the be the next royal family.
And the third option being, they will vote to dissolve the monarch all together."
"Dissolve the monarch?" Ema whispered.
"I would like to take this time to introduce Mr. Alex Mayter of the house of council." Alex came and stood behind the king
"I have selected him to ne the head of a special committee that will be able to presentna valid argument for dissolving the monarch should such an option araise. I trust him to be fair, honest and truthful when it comes to making his argument." Alex bowed his head before walking off screen.
Ema lowered her eyes. This was quite a big announcement her grandfather just made. What was going to happen with the family with this new development.
"In addition, I would like to take this opportunity to announced that I, King Stephon, do officially pardon Rintaro Hinata of the kidnapping charges that were put against him for being accused of kidnapping my daughter Princess Yolanda. All charges are officially dropped and he and his wife Miwa Asahina may come to Elence and go as they please. Mrs. Cook?"
King Stephon took a step away from the mic stand and soon Prime Minister Cook came on screen.
"As the duly elected Prime Minister of the great county of Elence, I have officially pardon Rintaro Hinata of the kidnapping charges. A full pardon, the charges will never be brought up again."
"Thank you Prime Minister Cook," King Stephon said as he came back into view. Mrs. Cook bowed and steped out of frame.
"I thank you all for your time and consideration. I hope you will all support my choices made today for the great future of this country. God bless you all and God bless Elence!"
"So," Ema said softly, "that is the way it is."
"I think, in all honesty, Grandfather made the right choice for this," said Louis. Ema thought about it for a moment.
"I think you're right," Ema said. She could feel her brothers all around her, no doubt giving off their silent courage and strength towards her. Ema smiled, feeling a new sense of pride and determination.
From his hotel room, Rintaro Hinata watched the live brodcast from Elence by the king, proclaiming his intentions and his own pardon of kidnapping charges.
"Well," he said out loud, "looks like things are starting to look up. And now can officially go see Ema for real in Elence!"
Just then there was knock at the door.
He quickly opened it and was surprised to see Miwa on the other side. He had rarely see his wife since their fight and she moved into her own room.
"I saw the press conference from the king," she said softly, "apparently he still has my son in the line of succession to be king. And our daughter."
"Our daughter?" Rintaro asked skeptically.
"I still love that girl! With all my heart! And now that we can go to Elence risk free, I want to. I want to see her and my boys!" Miwa insisted.
"Aren't they my boys two, technically?" Rintaro asked.
Miwa looked up at his face.
"Aren't they?" Rintaro asked, "just as you're still my wife?"
"Rintaro," Miwa muttered.
"I understand why you're mad at me. Hell I'm mad at me. But if you still love me, can you just try to forgive me? We can go to Elence together, to see our children. Including our future king and queen."
Miwa looked like he was about to cry before she all but jumped on him and kissed him passionately.
Rintaro wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into the room, and Miwa kicked the door shut.
Robert sat in his warehouse not watching the TV but listening intensely to what was being said.
"Ah shit! Now what will we do?" he heard one of his remaining men ask as they all also tuned in to the press conference.
Robert didn't respond. Instead he looked next to one of Henry's tool tables, the one his men prepared their poisons on.
"If only we had acted sooner, stabbed them quicker, this wouldn't be happening!' he thought as he reached for a vile and examined it.
'If I can't be king, why should anyone else?' he thought with an evil grin.
