DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN BROTHERS CONFLICT IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM
Ema sighed sadly as she looked at herself in the mirror of her vanity table.
"Why so glum today Chi?" Louis asked as he brushed her hair.
"I guess I'm just sad about our brothers going home today," Ema admitted, "even though I'm going to be extra busy now, I'm going to miss them."
"I understand Chi," Louis said, "I'm going to miss them too. But I'm sure they'll be back. Not only for you, but for Grandfather. I'm sure he's feeling just as downtrodden that they're leaving, especially Wataru."
Ema nodded, "I should go check on him huh?"
"That's not a bad idea," Louis encouraged, patting her shoulders.
Ema quickly took off down to her grandfather's bedroom and knocked.
A butler answered the door. "Oh, good morning your highness. Here to see your grandfather?"
"Is he decent?" Ema asked.
"Come right on in," the butler said as he moved aside for her to come in.
Ema walked in and saw her grandfather dressed casually and sitting by his window, staring outward.
"Grandfather?" she said softly.
"It's seems like a rather dismal kind of day, doesn't it?" King Stephon said still looking out the window.
Ema joined him and looked out. It was actually a rather beautiful day with a beautiful blue sky shining sun.
Ema looped her arm around her grandfather.
"It'll be alright Grandfather, they're not all leaving," she said as a small means of comfort.
"I know, but still, I'll miss the ones that are. Ema, I know it's been said many times before, but you have no idea how much joy and happiness you and your brothers have brought me since the day I've met all of you!"
"We know, we know," Ema said, "now come on. It's not good for a king to be late at his last meal with his family before they part."
"You're right," King Stephon said with a smirk as he finally managed to pull himself away from the window and walk with Ema out of the room.
"I wonder how small our rooms will seem after living in such a grand living space such as this," Azusa said as he pack some of his things.
Natsume looked around the room as well. "I know, my apartment's going to seem like a cardboard box compared to this," he said. "But I'm still going to be happy to see it again." He reached over and stroked the head of one of his cats. "I know these two are going to miss being waited on."
"Yes, I will miss them too," the cat's butler said as he walked in with the last tray of the fancy catfood. He placed in its usual spot and Cat Tsubaki and Cat Azusa dove for them.
"You certainly took good care of them, thank you for that," Natsume said.
"No trouble at all. I like animals after all," said the butler, "oh and I did some research and found you some places that sell the kinds of cat food we've been serving them. In case you're interested."
He handed Natsume a list.
"Thank you, I bet they'd like that," Natsume said.
"Did you need any other assistant in packing? Particularly with the cats?" the butler asked, "I can assist in at least getting them into the crates."
"Sure, that might be helpful. They hate their crates," Natsume said.
"Leave it to me sir," the butler insisted, "please feel free to spend the remaining time you have with his highness. He would greatly appreciate that."
"Yes, you're probably right," Natsume said.
"I do believe I heard the king was actually making his way to the dinging room for breakfast. You two should go join him," the butler mentioned.
"Good to know," Azusa said, as he and Natsume moved to the door.
"Where is your other brother by the way?" the butler asked casually.
"He went off with Lady Bea early this morning," Azusa muttered.
"Good to know they're free to do such things without having to be sneaky about it," the butler said with a slight chuckle.
"And they'll no doubt have even more freedom once they're both in Japan."
"So true," Azusa agreed.
Tsubaki sat on the broken stage of the old abandoned outdoor theater, just watching as Bea walked around it one last time.
"This is probably going to be the thing I'll miss most of this place," she said as she twirled around a pillar.
"Don't worry, I have many different secret places that I can take you too. You'll like it," Tsubaki assured her. Bea smiled before gliding his way and wrapping her arms around his neck. Both kissed softly.
"Can't tell you how excited I am about this," Bea whispered.
"Me neither," Tsubaki said, "and someday, I hope we can come back and see you direct the perfect play here, just like you always wanted!"
"I'm so excited to start school! Your mom was awesome in helping to find it," Bea said.
"Well Mom can be sneaky and manipulative like that. Just look at how she managed to get Natasha to go back with Azusa," Tsubaki said with a smirk. "Besides she likes you, and it pays to be on her good side."
"I like your mom too, I hope she and I can get along better than I did with my own mother," Bea said. Both she and Tsubaki shared an evil grin.
"How do you think they're reacting right now, waking up and finding some of their stuff gone?" Tsubaki asked in a joking tone.
"Hey we only took what was supposed to be mine by right. Robert gave them to me a "loving gesture" for us getting married," Bea insisted. "Beasides before they're able to put two and two together, we'll probably be halfway to Japan!"
Tsubaki let out an evil laugh, before he felt his phone ring.
"Oh boo, I thought we were past days like this!" Bea whined.
"It's just Azusa saying to come to breakfast, since Grandfather's on his way. Well better not disappoint," Tsubaki explained.
"Yeah, let's go," Bea said as she let go of Tsubaki and the two walked out of her hiding place.
"You going to miss him, the king?" Bea asked.
You know I am," Tsubaki said, "even if he hadn't become like a grandfather, he was fun to be around. Not too much of a stiff like you think a lot of other monarchs are."
"I'm going to miss him too," Bea said, "he was a big comfort and support when I was saddled with Robert. And I can't help but think that he's happy to see me going off and doing something new on my own."
"I think you're right," Tsubaki agreed. "That's just how much of an awesome guy he is!"
Hikaru couldn't help but smirk as he watched Kaname pack his things.
"Think you have everything?" he asked.
"Well if I don't you'll make sure to send it back to me right?" Kaname said casually.
"Of course," Hikaru said, "eventually."
Kaname smirked back at him. "So how long before you move in with Miss Cook?"
"Not right away," Hikaru started to explain, "I need to be cautious due to her mother's political career. Plus, I'm sure dear old Grandfather would like us to stay close for sometime while he mourns your leaving."
"I shall pary he knows peace afterwards," Kaname said. "Actually, I may return soon. Once I get back, I'm planning on asking the head of my order to maybe help establish a monastery here in Elence."
"A monastrey, hmmm? Fascinating," Hikaru said, "and how does grandfather feel about that?"
"He's on board," Kaname insisted, "and so is Lord Howard. He's made it clear he'll help support any attempts I make at establishing a temple here."
"Good for you Kaname," Hikaru said, "It'll be nice to give you a good reason to come back here, especially on a permanent basis."
"Speaking of Grandfather, we should probably be getting to breakfast. Last chance to dine with the king and grandfather," Kanamd suddenly recalled.
"Oh yes, let us be on our way," Hikaru said as the two walked out.
"Do you think there's any way I can take the bed?" Futo asked as he studied it, "or at least the sheets?"
"This isn't a stupid hotel!" Yusuke snapped at him.
"Trying to protect your investment are we?" Futo asked with a smirk.
"Shut up! Get your things together and fast! I can't wait until you're gone and I don't have to deal with you!"
"And I am looking forward for to having a peaceful time not being around you," Futo said a causal tone.
Yusuke groaned at him.
"Excuse me, Futo, did you need any help packing?" Ami asked as she came in slowly.
Futo looked between her and Yusuke.
"As a matter of fact, I do," he said as he walked over and grabbed his brother's arm, "give us some time, will you?"
"Hey wait!" Yusuke tried to protest as Futo shut the door in his face. "Well at least don't forget to get your stupid butt down to the dinging room for breakfast! Grandfather wants us all there!"
"I'll be there don't worry," Futo said as he looked back at Ami. The girl was staring to tug at her hair wrapped in its usual pink bow.
"But first, you and I are going to get some packing of our own done!" he declared as he suddenly grabbed her and kissed her.
He backed her up until she was laying on his bed with him on top of her, still kissing over and over.
Ami had to slightly push him off. "This isn't exactly the kind of helping I was referring to."
"But it's the kind I need," Futo said as he kissed her again with a little more force.
"Futo, please! We'll have plenty of time for this later, in Japan!" Ami said as she puahed him back.
"Yes, but, I want some of this now," Futo insisted.
"But what about the king and breakfast?" Ami asked.
That caused Futo to finally stop and let Ami up.
"Fine, fine," he muttered, "I would hate to disappoint Grandfather. Let's go, we'll finish packing later!"
Ami blushed, "Maybe we can double check your packing on the plane."
"Oh no, that won't be a good idea with so many of my stupid brothers and their girlfriends on board. But we'll definitely check my packing when we get back to the condo!"
"I actually might like that," Ami said wit a smirk.
"You little naughty maid," Futo said as he led her out to the hallway.
"Well if I am, you've made me that way," Ami said, "I can't believe how much I let you get away with. Especially since I wouldn't have dared tolerate that with Tommy."
"Did you have to bring him up." Futo asked annoyed.
"You're right, I got to just forget about him, forever," Ami agreed.
"But in answer to your question, I bet it's because he was just a total prick who did that stuff because he wanted power over you. Where's I was genuinely attracted to you," Futo said a little smug.
"Wow, that's pretty profound and insightful," said Ami.
"Naturally, I am a genius after all," Futo said.
"Exactly," Ami joked.
Wataru sat on his bed wiping away some of the tears in his eyes.
"Oh there there," Masaomi said as he daped his brother's eyes, "it's going to be alright."
"But I really don't want to go!" Wataru cried, "I don't want to leave the palace, Miss Sophie, Lord Markus, even the gaurds, like Richard, Chrissy and Billy. And especially Grandpa! I'm going to miss him so much!"
"And he'll miss you too," Ukyo said who was actually the one packing Wataru's things, "but don't forget mother says you can come back once Masaomi's spot as head doctor at the children's hospital has been established."
"Well I hope you get soon the Masa!" Wataru said. He still pouted. "I still wish I could stay!"
Masaomi patted his head. "I bet next school break, we can see if you can at least visit."
"Good! I'm going to spend every school break and summer vacation here!" Wataru declared.
"I'm sure mother and grandfather can help arrange that," Masaomi assured.
"Speaking of Grandfather, it's breakfast time. We should get to the dinging room," Ukyo mentioned.
"Ok," Wataru said as he jumped up from his bed reluctantly. "I'll miss you too Masaomi," he said as the three brothers all walked out.
"And I'll miss you," Masaomi admitted, "but I'm counting on you to behave and be good to your other brothers looking after you until we can bring you back here permanently."
"Don't worry! I will," Wataru promised.
"Plus you'll probably have to help keep our other brothers in line," Ukyo mentioned.
"Can I hit them on the head with a frying pan like you do sometimes?" Wataru asked.
"Uh, no," Ukyo said.
When Ema and King Stephon finally got to the dinging room, all the Asahina brothers were there, as well as Rintaro and Miwa and Bea.
"Hope we haven't kept everyone waiting," King Stephon said as he went and took his usual seat at the end of the table with Ema next to him. Ema smiled at Wataru sitting next to her, still looking upset.
"Oh, still sad about leaving today, Wataru?" she asked kindly.
"Yeah," Wataru admitted, resting his headd on his hand and playing with his food.
"I feel the same way Wataru, especially with your departure," King Stephon said. He looked down the side of the table Ema and Wataru were sitting on, that also happen to have the other brothers that were leaving.
"I'll miss all of you, but I am glad knowing you are all leaving for good and worthy causes. Kaname, to continue to study and teach your religion. Azusa, Tsubaki and Futo, to further your careers and to help your lady friends further theirs." The king winked at Bea as he said that. "Natsume, to of course get back to running your company. And finally Wataru...," King Stephon had to pause as he looked over at the little boy, "to honor and respect your mother's desiers for your well being and to give your older brothers a chance to establish some solid careers themselves so you can return upon your mother's permission."
"I will come back someday Grandfather! I promise!" Wataru said as he got out from his chair and ran to the king to hug him.
"We all will, I believe," Kaname said with confidence, "Elence has cast a spell over us, that pulls us to her grasp. And I for one think is wise to not fight her, but embrace her warmly."
"Did you really have to sexualized it like that?" Ukyo muttered.
"We shall have to see," King Stephon said.
He raised his glass, "to the future of Elence being guided with help by The Asahina family. And who knows, by the time Ema is officially crowned queen, pherhaps it shall even be referred to as the Asahina era."
"Oh, your majesty," Miwa said with pride.
"I could see it happening," Rintaro said.
"To the Asahina era!" King Stephon said as a toast.
"To the Asahina era," everyone repeated.
"An era hopefully know for peace, and prosperity," Ema mentioned.
"I have little doubt," King Stephon said.
Before long the meal was over.
"This was most enjoyable," King Stephon declared as he finished his last bit of food, "it's a shame we won't be able to do this again for a while. But I digress. I do believe you 6 gentlemen still have to get your things ready for your departure."
"Can I go see if Wind Storm is getting ready?" Wataru asked.
"Of course," King Stephon allowed.
"Do you have your packing all taken care of dear?" Miwa asked.
"I'll finished it for him mother," Ukyo offered.
"Or one of the staff may," King Stephon said as he stood, "come Wataru, we shall go to the stables together."
"Yay!" Wataru exclaimed as he bolted out of the house.
"I'll come too," Ema said. Yusuke also stood up to join them. As did Subaru.
"Me as well, make sure Natasha's good and ready," Azusa said, "assuming I can get a staff member to help finish my packing."
"But of course," King Stephon said, "speaking of which, Futo. is your lady friend fully prepared to go?"
"I do believe so," Futo said, "she just wanted to have breakfast with her friends among the staff one last time. Especially her friend Jane."
"Oh very good," King Stephon said, "and Kaname, Natsume, are the sisters Smith still going to meet us at the airport? Have you called them to ask?"
"We can and will, Grandfather," Natsume said.
"Good, I'd don't want dely the departure as long as we should," King Stephon said softly.
"I'm sure my Lady Elizabeth had things all undet control. Her usual job as a representative of Elence in Japan requires her to be ready for travel at a moment's notice," Kaname bragged.
"She's a very dedicated woman. I have no doubt she'll go far in her line of work," King Stephon said.
"As do I," Kaname said proudly.
When the small party arraived at the royal stables, they found a horse trailer outside and could hear a little bit of commotion inside.
"Wind Storm, come on!" someone was shouting.
"You're not going to get him to cooperate that way," Natasha was heard saying as the group all came in. They saw her patting Wind Storm's neck gently while another worker was trying to pull him towards the exit.
"Then how am I supposed to get him in?" the other worker asked.
"What's wrong with Wataru's horse?" Subaru asked out loud.
"He's acting a little nervous about getting into the trailer. Sometimes horses are like that, especially if it's their first time," Rose explained as she came to his side. "Natasha was barley able to coax him out of his stall."
"Oh Wind Storm, it'll be okay!" Wataru said as he hurried over to his horse. The minute Wind Storm saw him, he immediately walked forward, past the worker trying to pull him and straight to the boy. He nuzzled the boy with his nose.
"It'll be okay Wind Storm, you'll see," Wataru comforted his horse, "I know it seems scary now, but we'll be in great shape once we're back in Japan."
Wind Storm snorted in response.
"Here Wataru," Rose said as she handed him Wind Storm's reigns.
"And give him some of these too,"Natasha said offering Wataru some sugar cubes.
Wataru held out his hand to Wind Storm who quickly gobbled them up.
"Good boy," Wataru said as he then led the horse easily to the trailer. Wind Storm followed behind him casually and calmly up and into the trailer.
"How did the kid do that?!" the other worker asked, annoyed.
"That's easy, they're friends, they trust each other," said Rose. "When you have that special bond with a horse, there is nothing the two of you can't do! Something tells me that Wataru's going to become a great equestrian with Wind Storm."
"Do you think I could ride in the Olympics like you are?" Wataru asked.
"Maybe, with some hard practice," Rose encouraged him.
"I'll make sure to let you know how we're doing as long as we're both in Japan. When I come back to Elence, I'll bring Wind Storm back too!" Wataru told her.
"Good," Rose said, "I can't wait to hear all about it."
"And you'll be there to help me along the way right?" Wataru asked Natasha who was walking out of the stables with Azusa.
"Sure I will," Natasha said, "I look forward to having you as a pupil." She smiled at Azusa before going over to the horse trailer. "I'm going to ride with Wind Storm down to the airport to help make get him into the airplane."
"Shouldn't I come along to help?" Wataru asked.
"Well," Natasha looked between the king and Azusa for guidance.
"There's room for at least two more in the cab," the driver called out.
"And aren't both Wind Storm's plane and your plane suppose to be waiting on yhe same tarmac?" Ema asked, "so you can say a final good bye to Wataru at the airport."
"And I'll go along too to keep Wataru in line," Azusa said, "most of my things was already packed anyway. And I trust the staff now to complete the packing."
"Alright then, go ahead. We'll see you all at the airport," King Stephon allowed.
"Bye Grandfather! We'll aee you at the airport!" Wataru called out from truck as Azusa helped in him.
"Yes, I'll see you there," King Stephon said softly as he waved goodbye as the truck took off.
"Well, Let's go see if the others are ready so we can get this over with already."
"Yes Grandfather, of course," Ema said as she and Yusuke helped escort him back towards the palace.
Subaru lingered back, staying close to Rose.
"So, how are you feeling with so many of your brothers leaving?" Rose asked as they both held hands.
"Eh, not too bad. I've been trying to break off a little on my own anyway," Subaru said.
"I heard Coach Holly's practically already has everything set up for you to be his star player," Rose teased, "he is super soaked with you joining the team!"
"And I'm not going to disappoint," Subaru swore, "I'm going to make the most of this!"
"Does mean you'll join be joing Elence's professional team some day?" Rose asked.
"You mean the Wolfbanes? Maybe" Subaru said with a shrug. "I heard they're a part of the Euroleauge. That'd be kind of cool."
"Well I'm just glad you and I have the opportunity to get to know each other better," Rose said with a blush.
"Yeah, Subaru agreed with a slight blush. That was probably one of the nicest things he could think of by staying.
"And so thank you all," Ami said fighting tears as she said goodbye to some of the other staff as she finished her breakfast.
"Goodbye Ami," they all said back as they also waved goodbye to her. Ami sniffle a little. Jane took her hand and led her out.
"This place is probably going to be a lot nicer with most of Robert's spy staff gone and the ones who didn't want to help him anymore don't have to," Ami said softly.
"It's been feeling nicer since then," Jane said.
Ami stopped suddenly and gave her friend a giant hug. "I'm going to miss you so much! I hope you're remaining time working for the palace is a happy time!"
"And I hope you make it far as an idol or whatever!" Jane said as she too started to cry. Both hugged each other tight, crying louder.
"Oh dear, are people that broken hearted I'm leaving?" Futo said as he came up upon them. Iori was with him, rolling his eyes.
"Sorry," Ami said as she and Jane tried to compose themselves, "is it time?"
"Yes, I'm sure Grandfather wants to get this over with as fast as possible," said Futo said as he took her hand and led her off.
"We're you going to join us at the airport for the finally goodbye?" Iori asked as he offered Jane his hand.
"Yes, I've been given permission," Jane said, still trying to wipe her eyes. "Sorry, I'm just really going to miss Ami!"
"I know, I understand," Iori said, "even if I'm not showing it, I am sad to see my brothers leaving."
"I'm sorry, I'm sure you'll see each other again and soon," Jane said.
"Oh of course, we are still close," said Iori said, "even if I wanted to branch out a little from them and try going off on my own. That's why I'm still accepting Miss Cook's invitation to move in with her. I feel I'll have a little more freedom to do more on my own."
"Oh you're moving out of the palace?" Jane asked.
"Not right away, but yes," Iori said.
"I understand," Jane said, "but we can still see each other right?"
"Of course, I'm happy with the idea," Iori assured her, putting his arm around her. Jane blushed bright.
"Okay here we are," said the truck driver said as he pulled up towards the two planes waiting.
"Wow, that's a big plane," Wataru said as he looked at the one that was waiting for Wind Storm.
"It has to be to keep the horses in checked," Natasha said as she moved around to the trailer and opened it.
"Must be nice to be able to move your around with your cast huh?" Azusa said as he helped her.
"Much better," Natasha said as she kicked her leg up. "Alright Wind Storm, are you going to be a good horse and come out on your own?"
"Hi Wind Storm! Ready for your first plane ride?" Wataru asked as he came around to the back of the trailer. Wind Storm snorted and calmly walked down the ramp.
"That's a good boy," Natasha said as she grab the horse's raigns, "can you help lead him to the plane, Wataru?"
"Sure, this way Wind Storm," Wataeu instructed as he proudly led the way to the big plane that was open and waiting for them. Natasha, Wataru and Azusa all walked in and Natasha easily secured Wind Storm into his spot.
"Is he really going to be okay, in here?" Wataru asked as he petted his horse.
"Of course, I'll be here the whole time," Natasha said nodding towards two empty seats.
"And you'll take good care of him?" Wataru asked.
"Of course," Natasha assured him.
"Why don't you go out to see if Grandfather and the others have arraived, Wataru?" Azusa casually suggested as he tried to usher his little brother out of the plane.
Once Wataru was gone, Azusa turned and smirked at Natasha. "So, you're really planning on sitting in this plane the whole ride to Japan?" he asked smug.
"Well, there is a second seat," Natasha said casually as she walked around the plane, pretending to be doing things that to secure Wind Storm. "And I do have my laptop filled with Anime to watch."
"Starring any certain voice actor?" Azusa asked.
"Nearly every single one," Natasha bragged.
"Nearly?" Azusa said with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm not an otaku," Natasha scoffed.
"Fair enough," Azusa said as he walked over to her and actually pulled her close. "But I'm looking forward to watching with you the whole way."
Natasha smiled but was as red as a lobster.
"Azusa! Miss Natasha! Cars are starting to pull up!" Wataru suddenly called out.
"Is it Grandfather ajd our family?" Azusa called back.
"No, but I think Miss Natasha's is," Wataru called.
"Oh?" Natasha said as she hurried out and down to one of the few cars now waiting.
"Mom! Dad! Lisa! Hi!" Natasha said as she ran and hugged some of the members, while others were helping to unlaod some bags from the car. A flight attendant started to gather the bags up to load on the other plane.
"Ah, they look like a happy family," Wataru said as he and Azusa watched.
"Yeah they do," Azusa agreed.
He noticed another car pulling up and the two Smith sisters getting out, along with the rest of their family.
"Ah, what a nice day," Mrs. Smith said, "I hope you both have a nice trip."
"We'll call you when we land and we're settled," Elizabeth said. She look surprised when her mom embraced her from behind.
"We'll get together, next time you're here, right?" Mrs. Smith asked.
"Yes mom, or you can come see us in Japan," Elizabeth mentioned.
"Oh, yes, I'd like that," Mrs. Smith said excited.
"Now be good to your teachers at the university Emily," Dr. Smith told his daughter as he unpacked the car.
"I will dad," Emily assured him.
"Are you still going to change your major to tech and graphic design?" Dr. Smith asked.
"You actually remembered she was doing that, Dad?" Andy Smith asked.
"Ever since I officially retired from the university, my head's been feeling so much more clear!" Dr. Smith said excited.
"That's great Dad!" Emily said.
"Not really," Andy muttered, "now it's getting harder to get away with stuff!"
"Oh, good, the royal caravan is coming," Elizabeth announced as a several huge limos came pulling up onto the private tarmac.
The king came out of the first one, accompanied by Ema, and the remaining Asahina brothers that were leaving. As well as Rintaro and Miwa. From the other limos, the other Asahina brothers and the other ladies leaving with them all emerged.
"Ah, I see everyone else is here promptly," King Stephon said.
"We wanted to make sure that we were ready for you, your majesty," Elizabeth quickly said.
"Mrs. Hans!" Ami shouted as she ran over to where another woman was waiting by her car, "you came?"
"Of course I did, you think Jane was the only one who wanted to say good bye?" the woman asked as she hugged Ami, "You're like a daughter to me too. And I know your parents would be proud to aee you starting off on a new career like this!"
"Thank you," Ami said, "I'll miss you and Jane so much!"
"And we'll miss you too. But we'll always be there for you, worse case scenario!"
Mrs. Hans assured her.
Ami didn't say anything, but hugged the woman tighter before finally letting go and walking back to Futo.
"Don't worry Mrs. Hans, I'll take good care of her," Futo said.
Mrs. Hans waved to him as she started to cry.
"And how are you ladies feeling?" Kaname asked as he walked over to Elizabeth, helping Emily get her things together.
"Feeling good so far," Emily said.
"I'm used to this so, I'm good," Elizabeth said casually.
"Really? Than pherhaps you can help me relax on the ride home," Kaname said as he looped his arm around her.
"Not in front of my family please!" Elizabeth muttered.
"Excuse me sir! You better behave yourself around my daughter!" Dr. Smith scolded.
"Your father seems a little better in the head," Natsume said as he came over to Emily.
"Yeah, he's been doing a lot better since retiring. Seems a lot more calm and relaxed," Emily said. She went to reach to one of her bags only to accidentally bump hands with Natsume doing the same. Emily blushed.
"Are you feeling good about this?" Natsume asked as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Uh, yeah, I'm feeling great. It's nice of the king to let us fly with you on the royal jet," Emily sputtered.
"Well it helps that they sees us all as family and can have access to such luxuries," Natsume said.
He turned and looked at the king with a heavy sigh. "I should go make one last goodbye. I'll see you on the plane."
"Right," Emily said as she hurried and boarded.
Natsume walked up to the king and Ema.
"Well, Good bye Grandfather, your majesty," Natsume said as he bowed one last time.
"Good bye lad, I hope to see that game real soon," said King Stephon.
"Bye Natsume, take good care of yourself," Ema said as she hugged him.
"You do too, Princess Ema," Natsume said as he hugged her tight. He gave one last glance before moving to the plane.
"Don't I get a hug too?" Kanamr asked as he grabbed Ema and did so without getting her answer.
"Seriously?" Elizabeth said annoyed behind him, "You want to feel relaxed on that plane ride home or not?"
"Don't be jealous," Kaname said.
"Good bye Kaname, I'll miss you," Ema said.
"And I'll miss my princess sister too," said Kaname, "as well as my king grandfather."
"Thank you Kaname," King Stephon said. Kaname bowed in respect before going to the airplane with Elizabeth.
"Hey, I get a hug too right?" Tsubaki said as he surprised attacked/hugged Ema too. "This is a 'good bye but not farewell' hug!"
Ema blushed until she saw Bea behind Tsubaki looking amused.
"You hug her too long, I'll get jealous Tsubaki," she said.
"Oh, who to pick," Tsubaki said as he looked between the two women.
Bea grabbed him by his shirt and threw him off, only to hug Ema herself. "I hope we can still be friends after this!"
"Me too!" Ema said happily, "and I hope you finally get the life you wanted!"
"Thank you," Bea said as she let go and walked off with Tsubaki to the plane.
"Good bye your majesty," Bea called back to the king.
"Good bye Beatrice, good luck," called King Stephon.
"I suppose you'll want a hug from me too?" Futo suddenly asked, hugging Ema before she could respond.
"Don't worry, even though I've decided to commit myself to Ami, you'll have a special place in my heart. And I'll be there for you should you get fed up with redhead."
"Hey!" Yusuke snapped.
"Thank you Futo, but you should focus more on Ami," said Ema.
"Huh?" Ami said as she came up behind Futo and Ema.
"Princess Ema was just wishing us good luck is all," said Futo as he let go of Ema.
"Thank you," Ami said kindly, "I'm so happy you're still a princess here even if I'm leaving."
"I'll make you proud, I promise Ami!" Ema swore.
"You already have!" Ami said with tears before walking away with Futo to get on the plane themselves.
"I get a hug too, right big sister?" Wataru asked.
"Well of course you do!" Ema said as she hugged her little brother, "I can't wait until you come back!"
"Me too!" Wataru said sadly.
"Well all can't wait! We'll make it national holiday!" King Stephon said as he hugged Wataru one last time, "now go on, before you make me do something irrational!"
"Bye Grandfather!" Wataru said crying as he practically ran to the plane.
"He'll be okay, your majesty," Miwa assured the king.
"I know and I will too," King Stephon said softly. He kissed Miwa's hand. "I thank you again for your wonderful sons. All are a blessing I couldn't be happier with."
"Thank you," Miwa said proudly.
King Stephon then turned to Rintaro with a serious look. "And you, you I better not not have you kidnap any other members of my family any time soon! Even if it is for a good cause!"
"I don't see that as happening any time soon, especially with no big threats anymore," said Rintaro.
"True, but still," King Stephon said as he glared at Rintaro, "no more kidnapping of royal family members!"
"Yes your majesty," Rintaro said. He noticed his wife hiding a smirk behind her hand.
Rintaro looked back at Ema, "You take care of yourself now Ema. I'm so happy you are now the princess your mother wanted to you to be."
"Thank you Papa!" Ema said as she hugged her father, "I love you still!"
"And I you!" Rintaro said hugging her back, my little princess!"
"I wouldn't be a princess like I am if it wasn't for you!" Ema said.
"That is true," King Stephon said. Both Ema's parents gave her a small nod before they went to join the others onboard the plane.
"Where's Azusa?" King Stephon asked. "Plane can't leave without him.
"I'm riding on the plane carrying Wind Storm back with Natasha," Azusa said as he came up to the king and Ema.
"Oh, just the two of you?" King Stephon asked looking at the plane where Natasha was waiting, "I hope you behave yourself the whole way there, young man."
"I will sire, Grandfather, I will," Azusa assured him. He looked at Ema who quickly came and hugged him.
"Take care Azusa, and have a safe trip," Ema said.
"Thank you Ema, I can't wait till I get to see you again! No doubt you'll be an even greater princess by that point."
"Thank you Azusa!" Ema said. She gripped her grandfather's hand as she watchrd Azusa walk back to the horse plane and Natasha. The two held hands and walked back in as the door closed behind them.
Ema, the king and the rest of her brothers all stood back as the two planes started up and soon both were taking off into the sky.
"Well there they go. No doubt to a happy life back in Japan," King Stephon said.
"Well except for Wataru," said Hikaru.
"I'm sure he'll still be happy to be back in Japan," Masaomi said.
Just then Ukyo's phone started up.
"Hello? Oh Erica, yes, I'm heading to the council building now. Yes they all left peacefully. Can you hang on a second?" He looked at the king, "Sorry Grandfather, but Erica and Hannah need me at the house of council to do some more work for the hospital project."
"Oh of course, everyone's free to go on and do what they need to," King Stephon insisted.
"Masa, would you like to come with? Erica was saying she could use your help getting your suggestion boxes set up."
"Sure," Masaomi agreed.
"I'd like to accompany you there as well. I'd like to see just what my father was working on and where I should pick up at," Louis also asked.
"Sounds like a good idea, lad. Anyone else need to go anywhere?" King Stephon asked.
"Well if it's possible, might I be permitted to maybe be dropped off at my love Heather Cook's new home to help her move around?" Hikaru asked.
"Sure, you can come with us," Ukyo allowed shaking his head.
Masaomi just rolled his eyes while Louis kept his usual smile.
"I'd like to be dropped off at the university if that's alright to talk to Coach Holly about the new season I'm going to join them in," Subaru requested.
"Certainly," King Stephon said, "speaking of schools, Yusuke, have you put any more thought into going to the military academy?"
"Ah yeah, Richard just got me the application!" Yusuke suddenly remembered, smacking his head.
"It's a good thing Futo and Tsubaki aren't here to make fun of you over the matter," Hikaru said from the other limo.
Yusuke just groaned.
"And you, Iori? Back to the palace as well?" King Stephon asked.
"Yes, only to pick up Jane so we can go to the Chandra gardens together for some research," said Iori.
"You remind me of my late husband," Mrs. Hans said as she got into her car, "I can see why Jane likes you so much."
"Thank you Mrs. Hans," Iori said.
"You and Jane should come by sometime for dinner," Mrs. Hans added.
"Yes of course," Iori replied.
"Got the potential mother-in-law's approval, very good Iori," Hikaru said.
"Honestly Hikaru," Iori muttered.
"Well I think it's wonderful that Mrs. Hans seems to like you already," said King Stephon, "she was once a maid in the palace too. A nice woman. She even knew your mother Ema."
"Oh!" Ema said happily, "did help mother like Jane does with me?"
"I do believe that was her yes," King Stephon tried to recall, "one of them."
"I know Jane did mention her mother was in work-study program as she is now," Iori said, "she seemed real proud of her mother for that."
"Good for her," King Stephon said, "good to see Mrs Hans has come so far and that her daughter is coming along just as nicely."
"Who knows, not to demean Jane and her family but maybe hopefully her children and grandchildren will be there for my children and grandchildren too," Ema said softly, "even if it's just as a friend."
"I'd like that," Iori said.
"Wow, this is were you live?" Bea asked as she and the other new commers stood in the Sunrise living room.
"This place could almost rival the palace," Natasha mentioned.
"I kind of like it, it feels a little open and free," Ami said.
"Thank you," Miwa said, "now we'll have to clear our some of our other sons' rooms, see what should be sent to storage and what should be sent to Elence. But if you're okay with a little mess for a while, feel free to pick out a room. Except for Ema and Yusuke's for the moment, they didn't get a chance to pack before they were taken to Elence and I'd like to go over. what they may need more than the other boys."
"Sure no problem," Bea said.
"If I'd recommend any room, I'd say Masaomi, Ukyo and Hikaru's. Mostly because Masa and Kyo's are the cleanest and Hikaru doesn't really use his anymore," Wataru said.
"Thanks kid," Natasha said.
"Should we be getting to my apartment and settled?" Elizabeth asked her sister.
"Oh, sure," Emily agreed.
"Natsume, are we driving you to your place too?" Elizabeth called out.
"Yes, please," Natsume said as he joined the three sisters.
"When will I see you again?" Kaname asked Elizabeth as he hurried after her.
"How about this Saturday? I got connections to some choice restaurants," Elizabeth said.
"Mmm, my lady has power. I like that," Kaname said.
"Hopefully we'll see you ladies some other time," Miwa said.
"Thanks Mrs. Asahina," Emily said as the three left.
"It is a nice place," Emily remarked as they drove away.
"Yeah just too crowded. That's why I had to get out and get my own place," said Natsume.
"I bet that was nice," Elizabeth said.
"It has its perks," said Natsume.
"Oh, nice, small but nice," Elizabeth said as she and Emily helped him carry his things in.
"I think it's nice," Emily said.
"It suits me fine," Natsume said as he went and let his cats out. The two immediately ran out and leap on his couch, acting like they never left.
"I wonder if they're expecting their food to still be served on a tray," Emily joked.
"They expected that before they were living in the palace," Natsume said.
Emily walked over and gently patted their heads. "They do see sweet," she said.
"They seem to like you," Natsume mention.
Elizabeth looked between the two.
"Um, Emily, if you and Natsume have more to discuss over the game for Elence, i can come back for you later. Give me a chance to make sure my apartment is ready for you," she said quickly.
"What? But Liz," Emily started to protest.
"No, no, it's fine," Elizabeth insisted, "you just hang out here for a little bit so I can at least make sure my department's ready for you." She quickly walked out before either Emily or Natsume could protest further. Both looked at each other a little confused.
"Well might as well do as as she suggested," Natsume concluded.
"Sure," Emily said with a blush and sat down with Natsume and her laptop.
Elizabeth looked up towards Natsume's building as she got into her car.
'That might have been a dirty trick, but,' she thought to herself. Then she had another thought as she pulled out her phone.
"Hi, Are you busy? I could use some help with getting my apartment ready for my sister," she said.
"I'll be right over," Kaname replied.
"Where's Kaname going?" Rintaro asked as he saw the man hurrying out.
"Probably to see one of his many lady friends," Miwa said as she stood next to him.
"I thought he was getting close to that Elizabeth Smith gal," Rintaro said.
"Well, that's who he's going to see," Miwa said.
Rintaro put his arm around her.
"Happy to be home?" he asked.
"Yes. though I am looking forward to visiting Elence again," Miwa said, "see how well my boys are doing there and how far Ema has come."
"I can't wait to see how well Ema does too! I am truly happy she's at her true home," Rintaro said.
"I also wonder how things will work out for the ladies that came back here," Miwa mentioned.
"I think they'll be happy," Rintaro insisted, "I truly think nearly everyone is happy where they are, including Ema."
"Yeah," Miwa agreed, "our children are happy with their lives."
Ema sat in a garden under a Mabee tree by herself, with a sad smile.
"Chi. there you are," Juli said as he suddenly appeared on her shoulder. "You okay?"
"I was just thinking, everyone should be back in Japan by now," Ema said. "I hope they're all getting settled and are feeling happy to be home. Especially Wataru."
"Eh, I'm sure the wolves are fine," Juli muttered, "especially since they have new sheep to stalk."
"Juli!" Ema scolded.
"You seemed to given into one of the wolves, haven't you? You and Yusuke?!" Juli asked mad.
"Yes," Ema admitted proudly, "I hope he can be my real prince someday."
Juli replied with a hiss. "I'll kill him next time I see him!".
"No you won't," Ema ordered. Juli immediately calmed down.
"Yes your highness," he reluctantly said.
Ema patted him, "But thank you for always looking for me. I'll need you now more than ever as I truly work hard to be a good princess and queen."
"Of course Chi!" Juli said with a bow.
"Ema, are you out here?" she suddenly heard her grandfather calling out.
"Oh there's Grandfather!" Ema said as she picked Juli up and the two hurried to him. She found him and Yusuke waiting for her at the entrance to the garden.
"It's all filled out, I'm going to the military academy," Yusuke said as she approached.
"That's great Yusuke! I know you'll do great," Ema said.
"Are you alright dear?" King Stephon asked.
"I'm fine Grandfather," Ema assured him, "I was just thinking about my family now being safe back in Japan and my other half here in Elence, happy with their new lives."
"That's nice dear," King Stephon praised.
"How are you feeling with everything?" Yusuke asked casually.
Ema looked up towards the palace.
"I feel great," she said proudly, "I'm home with my family and know I'll have a home with my other half in Japan always. I'm truly home!"
And with that, she took both her grandfather and Yusuke's hands and walked with back to the palace, feeling ready for whatever was going to happen in her future.
