Summary: When the Lotus Ninjas are preparing for the school dance, they encounter another mysterious oni at their school.
The Lotus Ninjas and Aaliyah walked through the school's hallways.
"So, what's our schedule today, Donna?" Lee asked Donna.
Donna took out her violet electronic organizer in her hand.
"Let's see Irma and I have chess club today. Ellie has a track meeting. Ella and Aaliyah got weight training, and Lee's got cheerleading practice." Donna said.
"Whoa, you sure got our after-school agenda up in there." Ellie said, peering at her older sister's organizer.
"I like to keep myself organized academically." Donna said.
Then, the principal voiced his announcement on loudspeaker.
"Good morning, fellow students and teachers." The principal announced. "Just a friendly reminder that there will be a school dance happening tonight. The theme is intergalactic. I repeat, the theme is intergalactic. Starts tonight at 8. Don't be late. That is all."
"Hey, look, there's the flyer." Aaliyah said.
The girls collectively walked up and looked at the flyer. The flyer was an elegant design for the school dance and several images of planets and star constellations.
"You are invited to the school's intergalactic dance." Ella read. "Come down and dance the night away."
"It's perfect!" Ellie squealed. She turned to Lee with a huge smile. "Lee, you're the fashion expert. This is our perfect chance to style your designs into the spotlight!"
"I'm sure I can think of something." Lee said with a smile.
"The dance starts at eight tonight." Donna reminded. "So, we get there at seven. By the way, where's Irma?"
"Hey, that's my glasses! Give it back!"
Lee, Donna, Ellie, Aaliyah, and Ella turned their heads to the source of that familiar voice. They detected Irma trying to grab her glasses from an unfamiliar female student. She has a slender, athletic build with pale skin, short dark orange wavy hair, and red eyes. She wore an orange romper with a dark orange star print with a black belt and black Mary Jane style shoes.
"That's what you get for not watching where you're going, nerd." The female student snapped. "But don't worry, I'll give you your glasses back."
The female student dropped Irma's glasses to the floor and stomped on it with her shoe, breaking the glasses into fragmented pieces.
"Later, nerd." The female student said with a smile.
As the female student turned to walk away with a triumphant laugh, Irma ran up and bent her knees to pick up her glasses in her hands. Lee, Donna, Ellie, Aaliyah, and Ella rushed over to Irma. Lee, Donna, and Ellie circles around Irma as Donna casted her spell to levitate the pieces of her friend's glasses and fixed it instantly, while Ella and Aaliyah marched forward and blocked the female student's path.
"Listen, snob face." Aaliyah said angrily as she placed her hands on her hips. "You pick on our friend and you'll in for a world of hurt."
"Oh, I see the nerd got her squad." The female student said with a haughty smile. "Look, let me make things clear here. The name's Chiffon. And I don't care who you two or your other friends are, but getting in my way and you'll be sorry."
"And you expect us to be scared by that talk?" Ella retorted with a smirk. "Kinda sad, really."
"Yeah, you're right." Aaliyah agreed. "She isn't worth our time. Let's get to class before we catch snooty cooties on us."
Ella and Aaliyah walked past Chiffon, who huffed and walked away. But Ella put on a devious smile on her face. She produced three palm-sized, marble-shaped orbs of pure fiery energy from her hand and secretly tossed them on top of Chiffon's hair. In two seconds, the fiery orbs exploded with concussive force. The impact of the concussive force forced Chiffon to stop walking. She took out her compact mirror and stared at her reflection, screaming at the top of her lungs when she saw that her hair became frizzy and spiky.
Ella and Aaliyah snickered as they high-fived each other. They continued to walk off to class along with Lee, Donna, Irma, and Ellie, leaving Chiffon alone in flabbergasting silence at her reflection.
Then, Chiffon turned her angry glare at the Lotus Ninjas, Irma, and Aaliyah.
"Why you...!" Chiffon growled. "No one messes with my hair and gets away with it! I'm going to make them. Pay!"
Throughout the whole day, Chiffon formulated her scheming plan on the Lotus Ninjas, Irma, and Aaliyah until their free period went normally pleasant for the girls.
Inside the gymnasium, Chiffon ran towards the springboard and vaulted across the horse. She jumped high and executed two twist spins in the air before landing on the floor with a perfect grace. All the girls applauded with smiles to congratulate her. Chiffon and the rest of the girls looked to see Lee is the last one to exercise the vault. Lee took a deep breath and charged forward with amazing speed. She ran towards the springboard and performed a swift cartwheel before vaulting across the horse. She jumped high above the girls and the coach as she performed three flawless somersaults, one flex spin, and two twist spins before landing on the floor with a perfect stance. All the girls and the coach went over to congratulate Lee on her flawless jump. Chiffon, on the other hand, glared in disbelief.
In the weight training room, Chiffon lifted a 100lb barbell that greatly surprised the crowded students. But Chiffon's smile instantly turned into a glare when she saw Ella lifted a 180lb barbell in the air with one hand and lifted the smiling Aaliyah with the other hand, which astonished the students even more as they surrounded Ella. Chiffon furiously dropped the barbell to the floor.
Inside chemistry class, Donna and Irma gazed carefully at the beaker with red liquid. They put on their goggles as Irma turned on the Bunsen burner, heating up the red liquid inside the beaker. Chiffon slyly snatched a beaker filled with green liquid and placed a cube of potassium metal next to the Bunsen burner instead. Donna noticed the cube in confusion, but she shrugged with a knowledgeable look on her face and placed it in the beaker. The potassium metal cube dissolved and flared up into fireworks. Donna and Irma smiled in surprise as the students and the teacher looked amazed at her unexpected work.
Chiffon glared irritably from the table behind Donna and Irma, crushing two small glass tubes in both hands.
At the , Ellie then began running around the track field with amazing speed, which the male and female students cheered with amaze smiles. Ursula then started running around the track field with remarkable speed that easily broken Ellie's record. The students were astonished by Ursula's speed, leaving Ellie to glare annoyingly.
To Chiffon's dismay, her plan on the Lotus Ninjas, Irma, and Aaliyah was completely wasted. Four mystics and two humans unknowingly outstepped Chiffon, which greatly angered her to no end.
Later that evening, Chiffon stood on the edge of a tall building as she watched several staff members getting ready to work on the school dance preparation.
"My revenge plan may have failed, but now I have another one in mind." Chiffon declared. "Time to show those losers not to mess with me once the school dance is ready to go." Chiffon declared.
Out of the corner of her eye, Chiffon noticed a squad of Shadow Ninjas crouching on the rooftop of a building far from where she's standing.
"And I will be adding some chaperones to prepare my grand entrance as well." Chiffon added with a scheming smile.
At the night of the school dance, every student, including Irma and Aaliyah, arrived at their high school and escorted themselves into the huge gymnasium.
Twenty minutes until the start of the school dance, the Lotus Ninjas arrived at their high school. Lee wore a short black sleeveless shirt with a long round collar with blue trimming and a green lotus flower-esque logo on it, matching black short shorts with blue trimming, translucent detachable sleeves with blue trimmings, black gloves, and black thigh-high boots with blue trimming, heels, and soles. Ella wore a short black sleeveless shirt with a long round collar with red trimming and a green lotus flower-esque logo on it, matching black short shorts with red trimming, translucent detachable sleeves with red trimmings, black gloves, and black thigh-high boots with red trimming, heels, and soles. Donna wore a short black sleeveless shirt with a long round collar with purple trimming and a green lotus flower-esque logo on it, matching black short shorts with purple trimming, translucent detachable sleeves with purple trimmings, black gloves, and black thigh-high boots with purple trimming, heels, and soles. And Ellie wore a short black sleeveless shirt with a long round collar with orange trimming and a green lotus flower-esque logo on it, matching black short shorts with orange trimming, translucent detachable sleeves with orange trimmings, black gloves, and black thigh-high boots with orange trimming, heels, and soles.
"By the way, where's Aaliyah and Irma?" Ella wondered.
"They already arrived five minutes ago." Donna answered. "We're waiting for us inside."
"This is the night of our lives, ladies." Ellie said to her older sisters. "Let's roll."
Ellie opened the doors to the gym with Donna, Lee, and Ella. The entire gymnasium was well-designed with black, teal, blue, pink, and purple balloons as several tables has various alien faces sticking out of UFOs. They mostly noticed that the whole place was strangely empty.
"Hey, where is everybody?" Ellie asked in confusion.
"The dance is supposed to start at eight, but there's nobody here." Ella said as she placed her hands on her hips.
"Hold on, girls." Lee said.
Lee closed her eyes. She focused on detecting any visible auras around the entire school until she finally sensed them.
"That's weird. Everyone's at the football field." Lee said.
"The football field?" Ellie and Ella repeated as they exchanged confused faces.
"What could they possibly be doing there?" Donna questioned.
"And that's not all." Lee added. "Those ninjas we've fought before? They're here too."
"Now, what are those clowns up to now?" Ellie asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I don't know and who cares. I'm up for round two on those guys." Ella said with a smirk. "Let's go."
Outside, the Lotus Ninjas sprinted at the empty football field. They magically altered their dance attire into their ninja attire and looked for the students and the Shadow Ninjas.
"Okay, we're here. But where's everybody?" Ellie wondered.
"I'm sorry, girls. But the school dance has been officially canceled!"
Ellie, Lee, Donna, and Ella looked around the field in a huddle. They turned around to see Chiffon standing at the top of the bleachers with a small army of Shadow Ninjas. They also noticed that the entire high school students, including Irma and Aaliyah, laid unconsciously on the bleachers.
"Oh, what do you want?!" Ella exclaimed in frustrating annoyance. "You're starting to get on my nerves! You know that?!"
"Aww, whining already?" Chiffon said with an evil grin. "And to think we could've been friends."
"Yeah, like we make friend friends with arrogant snobs like you!" Ellie shouted. "Thanks, but no thanks!"
"Aww, that almost made me sad a little bit." Chiffon said. "Oh well, time to move on to my spotlight."
Chiffon jumped up and landed into a squad of Shadow Ninjas, who hurled her into the air as a bright orangish-white ring of energy extended above her head and swept itself downwards, transforming her into an oni-like creature. Her body grew into a height of a young adult. Her skin turned vibrant orange and her hair turned red. She wore a sleeveless black jumpsuit that covers her neck, torso, and halfway down above her ankle with a reddish-orange outline around her V-necked collar, armholes, and lower legs, and a pair of black dress shoes with a reddish-orange outline around the top and reddish-orange soles on her feet. She also has a pair of black curved horns on top of her head and a long serpentine tail.
"What the what?!" Ellie exclaimed in shock.
"She's the same creature as the one Aaliyah and I fought before!" Ella said.
"She looked like an oni." Lee said.
"A what?" Ellie, Donna, and Ella repeated in confusion.
"An oni." Lee said. "A demonic yokai creature from Japanese folklore. They are known as the deities of mountains with a fearful appearance. At least, that's what mother told me when we were kids."
"Oh please. I'm much more advanced than that." Chiffon said. "Then again, I'm surprised you four are the same girls that Rosa was telling me about. She may have her shot, but now you're facing the main attraction: me!"
The Lotus Ninjas exchanged knowing nods. Donna, Lee, Ella, and Ellie summoned their elemental energies from their hands. They stood in their fighting stances with determined faces as they are ready to battle Chiffon and the Shadow Ninjas.
"Alright, girls!" Lee declared. "Let's rock!"
The Lotus Ninjas charged forward.
"Attack!" Chiffon commanded.
The Shadow Ninjas obeyed and charged forward. The Lotus Ninjas jumped out of the way as the Shadow Ninjas crashed into each other in a large pile.
Donna placed her hands to the ground, sprouting long thick vines and launching them towards the Shadow Ninjas that restrained them tightly.
"Yukkuri o yasumi!" Donna casted.
A purple shining powder appeared out of nowhere and circled around the ensnared Shadow Ninjas, putting all of them to sleep instantly.
"Nice spell, D." Lee said to Donna.
"I can't believe that was surprisingly easy." Ellie said as she placed one hand on her hip.
"Yeah, I was expecting more of a fight out of them." Ella said. She crossed her arms over her chest. "But once again, they continue to disappoint."
"Are you kidding me?! I should never use my angelic voice on those losers!" Chiffon growled in annoyance. "Whatever. Who cares? I'll take you girls on myself!"
Chiffon sprang up from the bleachers and spun herself around rapidly, shooting multiple orange energy bolts at the Lotus Ninjas. Ellie, Lee, Donna, and Ella evaded from the raining energy bolts with swift speed. Chiffon then unleashed a blast of orange star-shaped projectiles that successfully attacked the Lotus Ninjas with a loud, distorted supersonic noise, making them cover their ears to protect their sensitive hearing while screaming in pain.
"Game's over, girls! I win!" Chiffon yelled with a grin.
"This noise is killing my ears!" Ellie shouted.
"And our brains are about to next!" Ella shouted back.
"I've got another new spell that might work!" Donna yelled.
"Go for it!" Lee yelled back.
"Jitto shi nasai!" Donna casted.
Chiffon instantly froze from her position, halting her attack at the same time.
"What?" Chiffon said in utter confusion. "What's going on? I can't move!"
The Lotus Ninjas relaxed themselves as they rubbed their ears and recovered their hearing.
"Oh, thanks, D." Ellie said to Donna.
"Yeah, you're a lifesaver." Lee said.
"Now, that's outta the way..." Donna said.
"Let's finish this." Ella said with a smirk.
The Lotus Ninjas stood up from the ground and charged forward before scattering away around the immobile Chiffon in different directions. Ella generated flames from the palm of her hands and held her arms in Chiffon's directions, releasing a tornado-shaped blast of flames that incinerated Chiffon in a spiraling motion. Donna slammed her hands to the ground and projected a series of large columns that crashed into Chiffon from the ground. Lee created a large swirling sphere of water between her hands and then launched the sphere at Chiffon. Ellie generated a tornado that was powerful enough to suck Chiffon inside with great force before sending her flying to the bleachers.
After finally being worn off from Donna's spell, Chiffon climbed out of the bleachers and struggled to stay on her feet as she glared at the Lotus Ninjas.
"You haven't seen the last of me!" Chiffon cried angrily.
With that, Chiffon leapt away far away out of the football field.
The Lotus Ninjas gathered together and high-fived their victory.
"Oh yeah! We win!" Ellie cheered.
"It serves her right for messing up our school dance!" Ella said as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"I won't say that." Lee said. "At least, she managed to leave the students unconscious. We better get them back to the gym before Donna can wake them up with one of her new spells."
"But what about the Shadow Ninjas?" Donna asked as she and her sisters turned their heads to the sleeping Shadow Ninjas.
"We'll let them go for now." Lee said. "But there's always a next time."
Meanwhile, Sierra stood in front of Rozu inside the Shadow Clan tower.
"Mother, I'm afraid I have some bad news." Sierra reported. "My squad have failed their mission on locating the hideout of those four kunoichis that Mira and I had encountered."
"How disappointing." Rozu said.
"They told me that their mission was somehow interrupted by an unknown teenage girl." Sierra added. "Those kunoichis must've ambushed them through sneak attacks."
"I see." Rozu said with a determined face. "Sierra, I'm giving you this mission to remove those girls…permanently."
Rozu's eyes glowed in blazing black light.
