Yes I am aware of what the title says. No it is not a mistake.

I was pretty jazzed with this one and actually finished it by Tuesday instead of Friday for once

Notes at the end this time

WrathofAjax: Personally, Fairy Tail is the King of Filler as far as I'm concerned. It's filler arcs weren't, the best, or good, some were better than others, but the individual filler episodes were so fun.

thewittywhy: Thanks ^.^
Yeah I know I responded to your comment on AO3 but there's a couple things on this one to address separately.
Super Sayain 4 is generally considered the form after the Golden Oozaru, which is basically just Super Sayain plus Oozaru, so yeah, SS would still be necessary for that.
And yeah, being more tolerable than Vegeta is a pretty low standard to beat.

xavex: thanks lol, and we're coming upon it soon

RichardF: As I stated I was gonna include the filler arc regardless. It was mostly for a convenient way to get the tail back and the building anticipation was just an added bonus

xXSelenaXx: no important deaths is always a good thing
And nope, that ain't the wish either.
And yeah, getting rid of the tails was such a waste. It was a staple of the original series, was made a big deal of initially in Z, and then...into the land of forgotten plot lines it goes. Just like Launch.
And, of course, thanks ^.^ I don't think I'm really good at writing action in general, especially the drawn out sort that DBZ loves, and this chapter's wasn't my favorite to be certain, but it works for what it was meant to do.
And well, here's the next 117 days

Tinfoot: Lucky I checked my email last night or else I might have missed this review since I'll be posting this chapter right before I leave for work so I wouldn't have much time to check.
Thanks, I am generally happier with my original portions, they also take a lot longer to write. The quippy banter is my favorite though
As for the DBZA references, I've gotten mixed reviews, some really love em, some not so much. I like em, but however much I include depends on the situation I will try to keep the tone issue in mind, however
And as for the wish, I have seen one person guess it correctly and they already kinda knew it was gonna happen, so, probably not what you're thinkin. The gender thing probably won't be focused on as much for a bit, as the, status quo, for lack of a better term, sets in. But even if I wanted to fix that right now, SIGohan is physically seven, which would cause issues socially if nothing else.

110 Days.

It's a good thing the Ox-King actually knows how to drive, because even if he could ride the Nimbus, which, there's no saying either way on, he certainly couldn't at the same time as Chichi. There just wasn't enough room.

Now, why was it we had to drive somewhere for once? Well, apparently Roshi had called stating there was an emergency. Something tells me it was, low stakes. Which, honestly sounded nice.

I just, sat in the backseat, staring out the window, watching the water go by. A literal flying car was far from what I was used to, but it still felt, nostalgic.

We got to Kame House all too soon and Chichi and Grandpa Ox went in to see what was up. I followed behind.

Apparently, we were last to arrive, besides Krillin, with Bulma, Ocari, Yamcha, and the cat I still don't have the name of already being there. I'd mention the pig but I'm pretty sure he lives here?

Roshi explained what he called us there for, and to say none were amused-

"NO WAY!" Was Bulma's ever thought out response.

Would be an understatement.

"P-p-please! Have some compassion!"

"Compassion? You lied to us and said it was an emergency!"

"That's right!" Chichi agreed, "and you call yourself a Master! What an example!"

"But he's a thousand years old today! When I remembered this morning, I panicked! You know how sensitive he is…"

"Master?" Any further responses were cut off by a deeper, yet softer voice from the door, "oh my! You all remembered my birthday…that's so sweet…you're all so sweet…"

Evidently, it was hard to stay mad when a thousand-year-old talking turtle literally had tears in his eyes.

The inferno of 1000 candles burning over a very large cake was very amusing.

It also raised the temperature in the room, a lot.

It was as party poppers were being, popped, that Krillin finally made an appearance.

With

The lady

Of whom I seem to despise more each time I see her.

"Hi guys! Hiii~ Yamcha~"

"H-hi! Hehe-"

At least Bulma was able to recognize that Yamcha had this schtick.

Man, I just don't want Krillin to realize too late and be sad. He deserves better. Not that that's saying much.

"Oh Krillin! This cake is perfect!" The lady crossed the room to examine the, very disproportional cake, that was only the size it was to accommodate all the candles.

"Oh, Hehe, she means, for a wedding. We're, kinda shopping around-"

The plastic cup in my hand was crushed. How strange.

"Wait, so, you're engaged…?" Bulma asked.

"Well- no. Not officially… but we're uh, we're talking about it."

Nope nah nada, not a chance no. The others were saying some kind of congratulations and Roshi said some Roshi thing, which got him smacked across the head by Bulma.

And as Turtle was blowing out his candles, a fruitless endeavor, I was starting to plot what I could possibly say to get this to not happen.

The night grew dark, and all elected to spend the night at Kame House rather than fly home in the dark.

I found Krillin sitting on the porch outside.

"If you actually think about marrying that girl I will disown you," was my opening line.

"Oh come on Gohan," Krillin half laughed, turning to me, "I know you don't like her, but she's a nice girl once you get to know her."

X to doubt.

"But, I probably shouldn't anyway…she's too good for me…"

And I could have sent a hole through the wall of the Kame House. You know, if that wasn't rude and property damage. Instead, my eyes landed on the long since patched hole from almost two years ago now. Back when this all began. The only apparent evidence of it, being the newer paint.

"Please. You're too good for her."

"C'mon, we both know that isn't true. I know I'm good, but, she's tall, and beautiful, and charming…I can't stand up to that."

Tall? Yeah sure. Beautiful, by conventional standards, I will admit. Charming? Yeah right.

"You fought against the Ginyu Force, against Frieza! You deserve a girl who could at least, I dunno, break Vegeta's arm."

"Very funny. And yeah but, it's not like I made much of a difference in those fights though…"

"I'd be dead if you hadn't gotten Frieza off me. I'd say that's a pretty big difference!"

Krillin half-smiled at me, then frowned, "hey, Gohan, about Namek, you're, you're ok, right?"

I faltered, "we, were talking about your terrible love life decisions…"

"I know, but this is important too, you know?"

"Uh, yeah…I'm fine…"

Krillin nodded after a moment, "alright, but you can always talk to me, you know? Not just about Namek, just, if you want to talk…"

He had placed a hand on my shoulder. I glanced at it a few times before responding, "uh, yeah, I know…"

"Uh, uh back on topic, that- uh, Marin, is Vapid and conceded and you deserve better than someone who makes you feel inadequate and flirts with any guy she sees."

"She doesn't flirt…"

"It's just, better you realize now than later, isn't it?"

Krillin looked down in thought.

108 days.

Krillin called and said he broke up with Marin.

He tried to laugh it off. It almost sounded convincing.

104 days.

I walked out of the house to find that Pigero has found where I lived, somehow.

"Hey, so what's this I hear about a scar on your shoulder?" He asked with a very obviously fake smile.

"Uh, yeah, I got it a while ago…it's not that bad…"

"Not that- did-" he seemed to take a minute to decide how he wanted to phrase whatever he was going to say, "did you get it fighting those aliens from almost a year ago?"

"No…"

"But, that was you there, wasn't it?"

"Uh, yeah, I mean, I didn't really fight much…hey uh, how did you get here?" I asked because there were a few logistical issues-

Pigero looked off to the side, almost sheepish, "I uh, borrowed, Isabella's jetcopter."

"Bo- you stole a jetcopter?!"

"Borrowed! I'm gonna give it back!"

"Do you even have a license to drive it?"

"D-don't try to change the subject!"

"Don't you try to change the subject!"

Things derailed from there.

103 days.

Pigero was grounded.

100 days.

I did say I'd ask about teaching Ki, preferably without martial arts involved. Roshi said the closest thing he could say was meditation, but that's usually necessary on top of years of martial arts. But it's a better place to start than others.

90 days.

"Ok, here's the deal. You do what I tell you. When I tell you. And you absolutely do not ever practice when I am not here. If any of you do, then I won't teach any of you again."

I stood in front of the orphanage kids, dressed in my Gi instead of my usual standard of T-shirt and shorts.

Mass punishments weren't really, ideal, but at least it might help keep each other honest.

The youngest five all sat in front of me, plus Ocari. Pigero stood slightly behind, still paying attention, and very lucky Isabella was not here at the moment because he was still grounded, and Hacchi stood off to the side, pretending like he wasn't paying attention.

Ocari was here because apparently, despite being able to fly, he couldn't actually form Ki in his hands. Whether that be for blasts or even just a light source. Run before you can walk much?

"And uh, don't get your hopes up…" I said as though their hopes weren't certainly already sky-high, "it'll take a while, like, months probably, at best, to show any progress."

75 days.

This time I was at Kame House drawing. It was the easiest place to hang out with Krillin after all.

"So, what're you drawing?" Krillin asked.

"It's, a story I've been working on for, a while."

"What's it about?"

"Super-Powered kids."

"So, fighting?"

I sighed, "yeah, fighting is involved."

"How strong are they?"

"I don't know, compared to us? Not very. They get stronger through the story, but mostly more out of getting more skilled than power gain. Both because getting more power means that the villains will just have to become more and more powerful to remain a threat and then the next will need to be even more powerful which is a cheap writing tactic and eventually won't even make sense anymore-" I cut myself off, "and because it doesn't make logical sense for some random kids to become more powerful than much older beings just because main character."

"Uh...huh..."

"Besides...does a character have to be strong to justify existing...?'

"Huh, no, I guess not."

60 days.

I groaned, falling back on the sand, not caring if sand got stuck in my hair.

"It's not like it was likely that they'd make progress this quick, it's only been a month after all," Krillin reasoned.

"The only one who had any progress is Ocari, and he already had a starting point!"

"Well yeah, but I didn't learn how to use energy at all until I was 16, with years of training behind me. Couldn't fly until I was 19. Your dad wasn't too different, even though he picked up the Kamehameha wave pretty quick, he still didn't fly until, somewhere between 15 and 18. You're kinda, a special case."

"Maybe I'm just a terrible teacher."

"That ignores everything I just said."

"They're getting bored, and frustrated." Yordon already gave up, so Jinku's bound to follow-"

"Well yeah, they're kids. If they were learning through martial arts, at least they'd have something to work with before they get Ki down."

"But, they'd get hurt, and I can't-"

"Uh, yeah odds are they won't become involved with any of our," Krillin made a vague hand gesture, "mess. That's kinda, worst of the worst"

"Chico already did! Kinda. She hadn't learned anything at that point. And it doesn't take high stake fights to get hurt! It's so easy to mess up and, and-"

"And, it's also easy to get hurt falling out of bed, or tripping, or crossing the road and getting hit by a truck."

"I know that, but that wouldn't be my fault!"

"Hey, you're worried too much. You think Master Roshi should feel bad every time your dad or I get hurt? Or Piccolo when you get hurt?"

"No- but that's different."

"How?"

"It- it just is."

Krillin sighed, "alright, new idea. We change the subject! What else is going on in your life?"

"Uh, just the normal I guess? Homework, we still do other things than Ki "practice" at the orphanage, pretty sure they'd go mad otherwise. Uh, it's down to two months before my wish which is neat. I guess."

"Wish?"

"…Oh I forgot to tell you. Alright well, I asked Dende to make another wish for me once the Dragon Balls recharged on New Namek."

"Oh really? What'd you wish for?"

So, I told him.

"You what?! Why?!"

"It'll be fine. What's the worst that can happen?"

"Well obviously he can't- but he's the one who- but why?"

"It just…didn't seem fair…"

Krillin frowned, "I just, hope you know what you're doing."

50 days.

"Yeah, no."

"Look you can either take me there now, so I know where it is, or you have to come, in 40 days so I can get there."

"Or, I can just do neither," Piccolo concluded.

"Ok, but that would be very mean. And you'd never want to be mean, right?"

"I feel like you're missing a fair bit of my history."

"Nah, you just a big ol softy. Now, which is it, now, or later?"

"No."

"No-w?"

"Absolutely not."

43 days.

Pigero was no longer grounded.

25 days.

I needed to do something not wish related. It was still almost a month off and I was starting to get antsy.

I mean, obviously, I was, doing other things. It's not like that could literally be the only thing I focus on. But like, it was always on the back of my mind.

Needed something to distract me from it. For at least one full day.

So, child flying solution idea two: the nimbus.

Unfortunately, it doesn't, actually, listen to me so I had to have Chichi come to help.

Maybe it recognized me as not actually part of the Son family, since even with other pure of heart people, it still only really followed the direction of Goku and family, even if it let them ride.

Regardless, it allowed Chichi to give the kiddos temporary control, of which only the youngest five were able to stay on.

Hacchi pretended not to care, but Pigero was actually making a bit of progress with his Ki, so maybe flying wasn't a lost cause with him…the former…street fighter…

A coincidence I'm sure.

Regardless, the youngest five had fun with the Nimbus, taking turns two at a time at most. And yes I knew, logically, that if they fell the Nimbus would rush down to scoop them back up, but still, they were not allowed if I was not there. Just to be safe.

And of course, there was also Icarus, who loved playing with the kids as well and was certainly willing to give them rides on his back.

20 days.

"Yes Gohan. I'll have a place for him. Assuming he's well behaved. It's not like it's any worse than housing Nappa," Bulma muttered.

I had gone to Capsule Corp, just to, double check.

"Where do you think I housed the Namekians for so long? Trust me, I have plenty of space."

Bulma was quite confident in her assurances.

"Oh yeah, you wanted one of these?" She pulled out an upgraded Scouter from a drawer.

"Ah! Yeah, thanks." It folded nicely in my pocket, a convenient upgrade. Of course, the most important upgrade being that it could now read powers up to a million or so without committing die. The other Scouter was still in the works for further upgrades, and to be able to produce more. We didn't technically need them, but they'd still be nice to have.

14 days.

"Alright. Just to be clear. You will be nice. And, not make this any harder than it's probably gonna be. Or else you cannot come." I said, as though I had any way to physically stop him. And as if it wouldn't be better that he be there than just me. Oh sure I was more than strong enough if something went wrong but, that's not, why.

"Uh-huh, yeah sure," Nappa had an almost wild grin.

I sighed, that was probably the best I was gonna get.

7 days.

"So guess you're coming with then?"

"No."

"Well I still need to know where to go, and you haven't shown me where it is yet, so you'd kinda have to-"

"I really don't."

"Prettiest of pleases?"

"No."

2 days.

"Alright, one more time-"

"Yeah yeah. I'll be nice," Nappa insisted, "I'll say "hey, how you've been?" And he'll probably say something like, "hell, literally.""

"That seems optimistic."

1 day.

"Absolutely not! You will not be going to- to- I can't believe you'd even make such a, terrible wish!"

"C'mon mom, I made the wish so I have to go. Besides, Piccolo's gonna be there. It'll be fine."

"Is that supposed to make me feel better?"

"Uh, yes?"

Chichi huffed, "and you got a verbal confirmation that he will go with you?"

"Uh, yes?"

"Well now you have to come," I said to Piccolo a few hours later, "you wouldn't want to make me a liar."

"That is your own fault."

"Well I still don't know where it is so you'd have to come regardless…cmon, you don't even have to really be there. You can just, show me where it is then just, hang out on the sidelines. Totally safe for anti-social loners of all degrees."

Piccolo didn't respond.

I took that as a yes.

I woke up late. Well, later, than normal. Chichi had come into my room to wake me several times, I'm almost certain that the next one would have involved a glass of ice water.

That honestly wasn't so strange, the strange part was that I had managed to do so, considering that as soon as I got up I was already feeling jittery.

Chichi fussed over me for a good twenty minutes before I was even able to start to leave. She had packed and repacked my backpack several times and she was the one who insisted I wear my Gi rather than street clothes. And bring my sword. I mean, I was already going to, but still.

I hadn't even managed to get to Capsule Corp before Nappa had already met me, ready to go. According to Bulma, he had been for several hours now. And really wanted me to finally get him out of her hair.

Piccolo, begrudgingly, lead the way. As I had expected. Apparently, I totally could have just asked Bulma, since she'd been there once before too, but well, I already told Chichi it'd be Piccolo and, I lie about enough really.

It didn't exactly take long to reach a patch of land, its central focus a large crater that's contents had long since been scavenged by Bulma.

And, then it was a waiting game. There was no telling when the wish would be granted after all. Couldn't exactly call across the universe to ask. The other wishes had all taken place in the afternoon to later afternoon though so it'd probably at least be a few hours.

Piccolo had quickly vanished from sight, but I could still feel his energy not too far off. He was around.

I cycled between fiddling with the phone Bulma had given me, honestly not all too different from the standard smartphone from my past life, except it got service pretty much anywhere on earth. I mean, they have flying cars so that made about as much sense as anything else.

And pacing. Also pacing. I was feeling rather antsy. Nappa seemed calm in comparison. Of course, one way or another, this was only a good thing for him.

There was nothing to indicate when the wish was granted. There was no light or noise to signify some kind of shift. My first indication that something had changed, was Nappa shooting up to his feet. I turned on my heels.

One moment he wasn't there, the next he was.

A man in still broken armor, an absolute mane of dark hair, and a thoroughly bewildered look on his face.

Raditz.

For a moment, nobody moved. Nobody said anything. Raditz's eyes only cycled between Nappa, me, and Piccolo who apparently thought it appropriate to show back up, albeit in a very distant and physically far away, "you can't actually speak to me but I'm here" kind of way.

"WHAT the FUCK is going on here!?"

"Aw, you were supposed to say hell, so I could make a joke," Nappa, well it would have been pouting for anyone not Nappa shaped.

Raditz was evidently, not in a joking mood.

He opened his mouth to say something, but I interrupted, "ah, before you say something stupid, here," I tossed him the updated scouter.

By reflex he caught it, and then looked at it skeptically. Skeptically he looked at it, and still skeptical he put it on.

"Hey, hey, scan the kid first," Nappa grinned pointing down at me. I rolled my eyes at his antics. That would prove the point the fastest though.

Raditz frowned, or scowled since he's been frowning the whole time, and pushed the button on the side.

Then immediately took several steps back.

"W-what? Five thousand! There's- there's no way this is accurate! You- you've handed me a broken scouter!"

"No, it's not broken. Yes, it's not accurate. I'm suppressing a lot actually, in order to not completely freak you out. Probably should have gone lower…"

"It- it doesn't matter what you say! There's no way a kid could have a power level of 5000!"

"Yeah…you've kinda missed a lot."

"Hey don't worry about it!" Raditz stumbled forward when Nappa clapped him on the back, "I'll explain on the way to-"

"No. No! None of that!" Raditz backed away until he almost stumbled into the crater. Then he backed off to the side instead, "I'm not going anywhere! Not- not until someone tells me what's going on!"

"Well, we came to earth, got beat up. Kakarot beat us. Went to Namek, Frieza's dead. Probably. Kakarot killed him. Probably. Kakarot's in space somewhere. And Vegeta's in space somewhere. Now we're here, and wished you back, well the kid did technically."

Raditz seemed to try to decipher what was just told to him, until he finally just settled on, "…what?"

"Yeah your gonna need more than that," I said to Nappa.

"No! None- none of this makes any sense! Why are you here? With-" Raditz's eyes shifted from me and Piccolo while still clearly talking to Nappa, "Why would that kid wish me back? And, Kakarot! His power didn't even reach 700! He couldn't have gotten strong enough to beat you! Let alone Vegeta! And Frieza!? Nothing you just said makes any sense!"

"Welcome to Earth," I said, and Raditz was evidently, still not in a joking mood, if his glare was anything to go by.

"Alright! Back to the beginning then," Nappa started, and I opted to let him handle the explanations, adding corrections if necessary. A familiar face would probably be better, regardless of how irritating a face it was.

I sat on a rock and watched.

"So! Vegeta and I got your transmission, where the Namek, Piccolo over there," he tilted his head up to Piccolo, "talked about the Dragon Balls. Pretty neat we thought. Vegeta decided we'd come and wish for immortality-"

"Imor- you were supposed to wish me back!"

"Uh yeah, I wanted to, but you know how Vegeta is. I probably would have after-"

"Nope. Wouldn't have worked," I cut in, "Earth's Dragon Balls have a one-year time limit on bringing someone back to life. So it had to be Namek's. It technically doesn't matter even if you came to bring him back, it was already too late the second dad was brought back instead, since the Dragon Balls have a one-year recharge time."

"Oh, huh…well then ya really have this kid to thank for being you back," Nappa grinned, "anyway back to- ah right, so we came to earth, Kakarot wasn't there yet but his friends were. Beat them up, killed a few of them, then Kakarot finally showed up, with a power level of 5000, which didn't seem right. Apparently, he got some training in the afterlife. Anyway, he showed up, his full power was over 8000, so, I got beat. Vegeta was uh, gonna kill me, but ah, apparently out of pure spite this kid," he pointed down at me on my rock, "didn't like that. Like, the kid still doesn't like me, to be clear, but it's hilarious how much he hates Vegeta."

"Anyway, uh I was unconscious for this part so, no first-hand accounts here, Kakarot went off to fight Vegeta. He had this one move, kaio- uh, Kaio Ken! It's like a power multiplier, so even though he was nearly as strong as Vegeta, that helped even it out. He still got beat pretty bad, but apparently Vegeta had to resort to the Oozaru, which he got his tail cut off for. Uh, my tail, was also cut. Anyway! The kid rejoined the fight at some point, and Vegeta was beaten by his Oozaru form. Oh, also the moon's gone."

"What?"

"Anyway, next, Kakarot's some friends and kid went to Namek to use their Dragon Balls to bring back the friends that I killed, because apparently when that Namek dies," he pointed his thumb up at Piccolo, "so does the one that made the Dragon Balls, and when that one dies, the Dragon Balls stop working. So they went to Namek. Kakarot was hurt too bad to leave then, and Vegeta left me here while he went off to be healed. But ah, luckily Kakarot's too much of an idiot to have killed me. Instead, he gave me a magic healing bean after he got one himself-"

"A What?"

"Senzu bean. It is as described," I idly commented.

"See Kakarot had to then go to Namek because Vegeta had also gone there to look for their Dragon Balls, and apparently Frieza had heard us talking about them so he was there too. And, well, I felt like I kinda had to help because the kid saved my life, out of spite or not, and luckily Kakarot was enough of an idiot to let me go with him. I could have killed him so many times over that six-day trip. Obviously, I didn't, but I could have."

"Anyway, Kakarot's actually a pretty good training partner, between that and the Zenkai boost, I'd say we were both over a hundred thousand by the time we got to Namek, he was still stronger than me though, pretty annoying."

"Hundred…thousand…?"

"Yup, we got there and the kid, Krillin, one of Kakarot's friends, and Vegeta were fighting against the Ginyu Force, and losing, how'd that happen anyway?"

"Common enemy," I shrugged.

"Fair enough, uh, where was- Ginyu Force! Right. Uh, so I beat up Recoom, and then Kakarot got Jayce and Burter- hey wait, Kakarot got three of the Ginyus and I only got to fight one, that isn't-"

"Back on topic," I interrupted, Raditz was already confused enough as it was.

"Fine fine. One of these days I'll meet a kid who isn't so serious. Right so, Kakarot fought Ginyu, then some weird body swap thing happened, don't ask- uh Kakarot was pretty beat up again so we shoved him into a healing pod in Frieza's ship- Frieza was gone looking for Dragon Balls-"

"Looking to find out how to summon the dragon," I corrected.

"Yeah, that, right. So then Krillin, that was Kakarot's friend remember, he left to find a Namek that could summon the dragon. Brought back a kid, healer. He summoned the dragon. Wished back that Namek," Nappa pointed to Piccolo, "so the other old Namek would be brought back, and the earth would have their dragon balls. Then he wished to go to Namek to help fight Frieza. Uh, unfortunately then Namek's old Namek guy died, so their Dragon Balls stopped working. And then Frieza showed up. Oh yeah, before that Vegeta showed back up, he was asleep before and he was pissed," Nappa laughed.

"This is going on longer than I expected…"

"I'm summarizing like, a year of things so-"

"A month, this has been a month of things."

"Namek feels longer than that."

"You weren't even there for most of it!"

"Back on topic," Nappa stole my earlier phrase, "the Frieza fight started. It went better than you would expect. We were still losing. The Namek showed up," he pointed up at Piccolo again as if it wasn't clear who he was talking about, "he was pretty much even with Frieza's second form, no idea how he got that much stronger. Oh, Frieza had more forms by the way. Third form, not so great. The fourth form was his final form. He murdered Vegeta. Obviously. But then Kakarot woke up, and he got quite the Zenkai. He was like, even with Frieza, with the Kaio Ken thing of his at least."

"Frieza went to blow up the planet, like he does, and so the rest of us, besides Kakarot went to leave. Apparently some other guy, I think he was the one who trained Kakarot in the afterlife?" Nappa looked at me for confirmation. I nodded.

"Right so that guy, he apparently made a wish with the Earth's Dragon Balls, to bring back everyone that Frieza killed, which included Namek's old Dragon Ball guy. So one wish left on those, we wished back to earth, here. Well not here here but, you get the point-"

I, slightly doubted Raditz got the point as at no point during storytime did he look any less confused, only more confused.

"The Planet, Namek that is, exploded. Kakarot somehow escaped, assumably, Frieza did not."

"And finally after the whole recharge thing, it's only four months for Namek's, the earthlings brought back the rest of Kakarot's friends that I killed, another recharge, and the Nameks made a new planet for themselves to live on and wished to go back there, and the kid asked to bring you back once they recharged again. Story end."

"…what?"

"Alright back to the beginning!"

"No- No. Not doing that. Just- just give me a-" Raditz rubbed at his forehead as if he had a headache.

"Alright. You, came to this planet, not to bring me back, but for immortality-"

"Well I still wanted to- but yeah…"

"Kakarot, my brother Kakarot, who was weaker than I was, somehow increased his power more than tenfold in, what, a year?"

"Yup."

"Beat you. Beat Prince Vegeta. Who then tries to kill you?"

"The killing attempt part was before Kakarot beat Vegeta but yeah."

"The moon is gone?"

"Yep."

"How?"

Nappa looked at me. I pointed at Piccolo.

"...Alright...fine...whatever...And then, again, both him and you, once again increased your power more than tenfold, twenty for you. In, six days?"

"That is accurate. Well, there was also a month in between but both Kakarot and I were out of commission at that time."

"Then you beat the Ginyu Force."

"Yup."

"Then, Frieza."

"That one was mostly just Kakarot. At least in terms of beating him."

"And then, after all that, it wasn't even you, but that kid, who wanted to bring me back?"

"Well, I mean, I probably would have tried to swipe the Radar thing to try to bring you back. But apparently, that wouldn't have worked, as the kid said. If I knew you had to use the Namek ones I would have asked. But yeah, it was your nephew who actually brought you back."

"Asked?"

"I've been given a place to live, for nothing, least I can do is play nice."

"And you just, live here now?"

"Yup."

Raditz squinted at Nappa as if trying to figure him out. Which, fair, he's toned down a lot since that first showing. I almost suspect that was him playing it up.

Then, he turned to me.

"Why?"

"Why not?"

"That isn't an answer!"

I shrugged, "Vegeta's alive. Nappa's alive. You seemed like the least bad of the three, so why not?" I didn't add that it wasn't like he was a threat to me or most anyone else on the main cast anymore. That seemed obvious. Also kinda mean.

Raditz glared. That seemed to be his default.

Then he looked away. Then everywhere. He glanced at Nappa, me, kinda avoided looking at Piccolo. He looked down at the crater that used to hold his ship, now empty, and glanced off into the distance.

"Now, what?"

"Ah right! See where I've been staying. One of Kakarot's friends is like, real wealthy, scientist type, ya know? She's given me a place, offered to Vegeta, before he took off, stole one of their ships, and now she's said you can stay there too! It's all worked out!"

Raditz looked down, "do I even have a choice?"

"Uh- I mean yeah? I don't know where else you'd go, it's a free place. Also, I'd recommend not killing any of the weak little civilians. I'm pretty sure the Namek is looking for an excuse to shoot you down," Nappa looked up at Piccolo suspiciously.

Raditz tried to hide a flinch. Come to think of it, he hasn't actually touched the scouter since he read my power level. Hasn't taken it off either though.

"So, you coming?"

"…"

"Raditz?"

"Yeah, whatever."

IT'S THE RADISH!

Imagine being the brother of the main character(TM) and dying in the fifth episode. And also being one of the like, three characters that are never revived.

Alright so, those of you who figured it out before the official reveal, do tell me where, I am curious.
I know at least two people already know, one being the one who kinda talked me into it, I had already wanted to but couldn't quite justify it, but once I decided on it so many new ideas. And the other, she's been commenting every time I mentioned Raditz since like, before the Frieza fight. So, pretty sure she realized something was up. I thought I was being subtle. I started being a bit more obvious with it throughout this chapter

Needless to say, the character listings are gonna change, but I won't do it until next week or else some of you might get tipped off early on what's up

I have no excuses as for why the storytime was so long. It just happened. Apparently when Nappa is just, allowed to speak he just does not stop. I honestly expected the final word count to be higher. I cut it off earlier than I intended because of it, but this is probably a more stable cut off point anyway

And uh, yeah I can tell you right now, Ranch ain't happenin. Sorry, it's a cute ship but it just wasn't vibin with the story. That doesn't mean I have no plans for a Radish love interest however. In fact, While I will not confirm or deny any guesses (unless they're so out there that I am physically incapable of not) if someone were to guess accurately, I will make a note of it and when it does come to be I shall call out anyone who got it right.
That doesn't mean you can just spam guesses, however. Keep it reasonable.
