Making some real progress in the story. I remember when I was so proud to get to chapter 15, Now I'm almost to the Android Saga
Also, I have officially finished my DBZ rewatch, now to watch all the post 7 year time skip movies, and then start Super. Technically I know the Beerus and Resurrection F movies are like, redone or something in Super, but I'm just gonna rewatch/watch the movies anyway to cross reference
thewittywhy: lol thanks. That's a line I've had planned for a while because I found it funny. Especially with the people he killed just, right there.
And, considering Trunks does exist, that would imply as such
xavex: lol thanks
Tinfoot: Yeah, I do have a method planned for getting into the changes in the future timeline, so see one shall do
royalburrito999: I dont think rolling the bad timeline would have made her not care for keeping secrets, if anything it'd make it worse, I'd think. And you know, I think there would be a bit of jealousy. Just a bit.
Trunks-
Well, this has been an interesting experience.
He didn't know what he expected the past to be like, but, well he wouldn't say this wasn't what he expected, but perhaps, more?
Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu lined up fairly well with the stories. Piccolo didn't speak much which also lined up. He was obviously suspicious of Trunks, which, was fair he supposed.
Krillin was talkative and kind. He didn't shy away from conversation and wasn't confrontational when he said he couldn't talk about something.
His mother…was certainly more excitable than the one he knows. She almost derailed this entire thing wanting to go into Frieza's ship. He almost wished he had destroyed it like he originally wanted to.
Raditz, well, he didn't really learn anything new about Raditz. Perhaps a bit more irritable than he expected? But S- Gohan. As long as he was here it was Gohan. Messing up on a pronoun would be a lot easier to cover than a name- Gohan talked about Raditz kidnapping her as a child jokingly, almost fondly. If anything, he was surprised she wasn't joking. Also surprised she wasn't joking about how much hair he had. One-third hair, that, must be a pain.
Nappa though, that, that was new. He knew that Nappa and his Father came to Earth, antagonistically, but actually killing people? Why, why were they friends? Why were they here?
And Vegeta, his father. Gohan didn't talk much about either he or Nappa, but at least she had some things to say about Nappa. The most she's said about Vegeta was that "he was fun to argue with," which even that seems like an exaggeration now. Mom obviously never said much about him either.
Could, could his father be worse than that? That didn't seem possible, how could you get worse than killing people?
He just kinda assumed Gohan didn't know the two of them too well, which was why she had more to say about Raditz, her Uncle, than The other two, but, she seemed to interact more with Vegeta than Raditz, more familiar, like she knew him better.
And Gohan…man it was strange seeing his teacher so, young. She somehow seemed more spirited and more serious than the one he knows.
It was also strange to see her with a tail, which was so expressive, seeming to flick around of its own accord, all but unnoticed by Mini-Gohan. The last time he had seen someone with a tail was-
Anyway.
Mini-Gohan seemed almost nervous talking to him, which was kinda funny before Raditz made that crush comment, which, ew no, that was his teacher, and a little kid, gross.
Regardless, being the center of attention for so long was starting to get on his nerves, and when the three hours ran out and Goku finally landed it was not soon enough.
He announced when his timer went off and it took a moment for anyone to actually check, rather being skeptical as they didn't see him.
It was mini-Gohan who mentioned sensing him first. At which all the others who could sense energy looked up. Raditz also looked up, pushing a button on his, Scouter? That's what they were called right? He didn't know what number must have appeared on its little screen, but it must have been pretty high considering the face the man made.
Regardless, at least now the group believed him, looking up into the sky as a small pod appeared in the distance, only to crash not too far away.
The group crowded around the creator the space pod made. Well, most of them did. His Father stood off on a cliff, probably trying to look dramatic, or intimidating, or, something. And Raditz still stood off further behind. Oh, right this must be the first time they've seen each other since the whole, child kidnapping thing. Did Goku even know he was brought back? Surely he had to, right? But then how would he?
Trunks also elected to stand a bit off to the side. He'd need to talk to Goku, but they can have their reunion first.
The pod opened, and Goku stepped out, wearing an, interesting outfit, blinking as he saw his group.
"Uh, hey guys. But, how'd you know I'd be here?"
Goku was, more, innocent? Looking than he expected. He was supposed to be the strongest here, wasn't he? Trunks expected him to be a bit more, something. His mom often said that Goku could be a bit oblivious, but he didn't expect, he just expected something different. Maybe a bit more like Gohan. His Gohan. Or even the Mini one.
"This guy told us," his mother pointed at him, answering Goku's question, "he told us this is where you'd be landing."
"But how? We've never met."
Apparently despite him already saying he had never met Goku, the others were still surprised that Goku didn't know who he was.
He was, just gonna let them have this conversation without him. Or else he might say something he shouldn't.
"He must have been tracking your ship out in space then," Bulma reasoned.
"I dunno…Frieza tried to do that, but I could feel his energy as he passed me. He sure was in a hurry to beat me here."
Goku looked over his friends, only to stop and blink, "uh, what's it- uh Raditz? What are-"
"Oh look. He remembered my name this time," said man muttered, loud enough that he could still definitely be heard.
"Uh, yeah, but aren't you…how are you uh, here?"
At least five fingers were pointed at mini-Gohan, one of which being her own, "dragon balls," she shrugged.
"Oh, uh, ok..?" He trailed off. It was hard to tell what he was thinking.
"Oh! But who beat Frieza? Was it you Piccolo? Or how about you Vegeta? Nappa?"
"None of us," Piccolo said, "it was this kid, he turned his hair blonde and beat Frieza with ease."
"Oh, wow! That's amazing! Beating Frieza at his age?"
"Oh, well- I uh, learned from the best," Trunks rubbed the back of his neck, it was nothing compared to what he had to deal with back home. It was kinda fun actually, fighting someone he was actually stronger than. Closest he could get to that back home was sparing with-
"But where did he come from? If you do not know who he is how does he know of you?" He heard the rough voice of his father speak behind him.
"That's a good question…who are you?"
"That's uh, actually can I speak to you alone for a second?"
"Alone?"
"Yes, just the two of us," Trunks pointed off away from the group.
"Hm, ok. I'll be right back guys," Goku said nonchalantly as he walked in the direction that Trunks pointed.
Goku was really, uh, trusting too. Which was good for him, but, probably not, great? Maybe he just has good enough instincts that he knew he was a good person.
Regardless, they flew far enough away that he was sure no one could hear him.
"Thank you, for listening to me."
"Hey no problem. I should be thanking you for beating Frieza. I thought I had taken care of him back on Namek, but I guess I didn't quite manage after all."
"Yeah, he landed and you weren't here so I stepped in. You weren't supposed to get here for another three hours so I didn't want anything to happen."
"Yeah, his ship was a lot faster than mine. I was about to deal with it myself, but then you showed up, so I decided to see how that played out instead."
Trunks turned his head, "how could you have dealt with it when you were still hours away?"
"Well, Thanks to a technique I learned, I could have been there in seconds. It's called Instant Transmission!"
"What?"
"Yeah, you just focus on someone's energy and you can travel to them almost instantly."
"I had no idea you had that kind of ability… if I had known that I wouldn't have fought Frieza. I would have just spoken to you once you were alone, and not risk changing things, or interacting with the others…"
"The risk?"
"Yeah it's," Trunks hesitated, his mom trusted Goku, and obviously he was Gohan's dad. At the very least he could trust that they trusted him. Besides who else was there to tell? His father? Yeah right. His mother? And risk possibly not being born? Mini-Gohan? She was still just a kid. Maybe Piccolo, but he obviously didn't trust him like Goku seemed to.
"Ok, I need your word that you won't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you."
"Uh sure, I'm usually pretty good about keeping secrets." Good enough.
"Alright. Thank you. My name is Trunks. I'm from just over twenty years in the future. It's strange to hear I'm sure, but it's the truth, I promise."
"The future? Wow! That's incredible!" He accepted that really easily… well, convenient for the both of them at least.
"So like, did you have a time machine? Or something like-"
"Yes, it was a time machine. My mother invented it, with a bit of help from my Grandfather."
"Your mother huh? She must be pretty smart to be able to make something like that…"
"Uh, yeah. She's uh, standing over there," he pointed back over to the group. Since everyone thought Gohan was a boy at this point, and the obvious age problem, that left the only possibility as Bulma.
"BULMA'S YOUR MOTHER!?" Goku almost fell over he reacted so, expressionally.
"Please keep it down!" He ushered, even though he was sure they were far enough away he didn't want to test fate.
"Yes, Bulma is my mother."
"Oh wow, Bulma with a kid. Heh, I could hardly imagine it! So I guess she and Yamcha finally settle down then, don't they?"
"N-no. They don't. They break up sometime soon, I think. They might have already broken up for all I know."
"Huh. So who's your father then? Is it someone I know? He must be pretty strong right? Considering you being so talented."
"Uh, yes you can say that…it's, Vegeta…"
This time Goku did fall over in reaction. Barely managing to cover his mouth to keep from shouting again.
Eventually, Goku managed to right himself again, climbing to his feet as he, very obviously looked back at the group. Even when he turned back to Trunks, Goku continuously looked back at the group.
"S-so! Bulma and Vegeta huh! That's, quite the pair!"
"R-right. It uh, didn't last long, kind of, a passion sort of thing…" he trailed off, extremely embarrassed. He was supposed to be talking about evil androids, not his mother's love life!
"Man, Bulma and Vegeta! You know, I could kinda see it! They're both stubborn, and proud. You know Bulma wanted to marry a Prince when we were kids! Yeah…Yeah! Man who woulda thought-"
"I didn't come here to tell you about my parents!" He finally interrupted, causing Goku to turn back, blinking.
"Oh, right. Sorry." Goku's eyes settled into a more serious expression as his explaination began.
"Alright, this is important so, please listen. In just over three years on May 12th, at 10 am, a horrible duo with show up on an island nine miles southwest of South City. They are stronger than I am, maybe my teacher barely matches them but the fact that there are two of them, and that they never leave each other's side makes it so she can never truly win. Postpone them at best. They're monsters! They destroy everything they come across."
"Are they aliens?"
"No. They're both Androids, made right here on Earth. Their creator is Dr. Gero. The head scientist of the Red Ribbon army."
"Huh? Red Ribbon? Didn't I beat them a long time ago?"
"Not all of them. Some ran away, one of which being Gero. He survived, and for years plotted revenge. Finally creating the perfect Androids, capable of beating anyone in their paths. Their names are Androids 17 and 18."
"Android 17 and Android 18 huh? And they're totally evil? I met an Android once, his name was Android 8, but I called him Eighter instead. He was really nice."
"Uh- well. I don't know about that one- but these two are pure evil. Destroying anything in their path." He stressed this. This was the first he was hearing of a "good" Android. Maybe Gero just wasn't good at making evil Androids back then. Maybe that one was just one of the good ones. A flaw in its programming perhaps.
It didn't matter. Goku's feelings towards an Android in his past could not interfere with how he treats these two.
"Gero's probably working on those monsters as we speak. If I knew where his lab was I'd be paying him a visit instead of you."
"Was his plan then? What's Dr. Gero trying to accomplish with them?"
"I don't know. No one does. The moment he woke those things up, they killed him in cold blood."
That, at least, caused Goku to react. Good, he was taking this seriously.
"Living on Earth in my time is like a nightmare! Every day it's worrying if the Androids are going to find and kill you next. How many people we'd be able to save before it was too late, if any at all. The only reason they haven't mowed down every country is so they could keep having their "fun" so they'd always have someone to kill."
"Gosh, that's awful. You took out Frieza so easily, but you make these two sound like they're leagues above him."
"They are."
"What about all the others? Aren't they helping you?"
"No. They can't. They're all already dead. They were the first Victims of the Androids. Vegeta, Nappa, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Krillin, Raditz, Piccolo! They're all going to lose their lives! The only ones who survive are Ocari and Gohan! Ocari, he wasn't very strong, but he still gave his life to protect people a few years later. And Gohan-" he cut himself off before he almost messed up. He already referred to his teacher as a she, it wouldn't take much cross-referencing to figure that out.
"It's Gohan also killed?"
"No, sorry, I can't say much more on the topic. It's, not my place."
"Hm, ok…but will I know eventually?"
"That's, not my place to say either."
"I see…but he doesn't die? So is he fighting these Androids too?"
"Yes, uh, Gohan fights them when necessary, he uh, prioritizes saving people as much as possible though."
"I-messed up once. I wanted to fight them. They were hurting so many people and I just felt so helpless! Against my teacher's orders, I went and- a friend of mine was hurt. She, she's ok now. A couple scars. But that, I could never forgive myself if she-"
"Hey," Goku interrupted, only then did he notice he was shaking, "you said she was fine now didn't you? Your teacher, I bet she teaches both of you, right?"
"Uh, yeah. She does."
"So then, you both just have to become as strong as you can be! That way nothing could happen!"
"Right…you make it sound so easy…"
"Wait a sec, hey Trunks, what happens to me? Do I die to those Androids too?"
"No, no you die a about year before they show up. You catch a heart virus, and it takes your life."
"Man! Being killed by a stupid virus! How lame, I don't even get a shot at those Androids! What a waste!"
Trunks blinked, "you mean you still want to fight those Androids? Even after all I've said? Aren't you scared?"
"Well, yeah sure, a little bit. But hey, if your fight didn't have me maybe that's the difference. I could have been able to beat them!"
"Maybe you could… luckily, by my time medicine for the virus exists. No vaccine, so I can't quite prevent you from getting it, but take these once you start showing symptoms. You'll survive as long as you take it."
As he pulled out the bottle his hand brushed along a second bottle, though this one was concealed by a Capsule. Man, can't believe he almost forgot! That was a close one.
"Oh wow! Hey! I'll get to fight those Androids after all! That's great!"
"Right, hey, I'll be right back."
"Hm? Ok."
Quickly he flew back over to the main group, handing the Capsule to Mini-Gohan, who looked at him confused.
"Here, open this once you get home."
"Uh, ok…"
And with that, he flew back to Goku. Whew, that was done. As long as the time machine works again, he should have been able to give it to her when he planned to come back in three years with no worries, but better safe than sorry.
This was a more, unnecessary change, but well, if his teacher says it's fine it must be. No one would know her better than herself, right? It makes sense that she'd want to make things a bit easier for her mini, though the result would probably be the same in the end.
"Well, that should take care of everything-"
"Hey hold on a second- you're Vegeta's kid right? So is that blonde thing Piccolo mentioned earlier, is that some kind of Sayain thing?"
"Uh," Trunks had to stop and think. Was that safe information to give? Neither his mom nor Gohan told him what to do if Goku asked about the Super Sayain.
Well, if he told him this much, "yes, it is. It's called a Super Sayain. You are supposed to manage it fairly soon, I don't know exactly when. Not that it really matters considering the whole heart virus thing. Then Vegeta manages it, probably out of spite, the only ones who never got a hang of it before they died were Nappa and Raditz."
"Huh…Super Sayain…I think I heard Vegeta Mention that on Namek…is it that strong?"
"Yes, it gives a massive power boost. I wouldn't have been able to take out Frieza without it."
"Oh wow, yeah I had to use the Kaio Ken to beat Frieza, but this sounds even better!"
"It is, I assure you. But you can't tell anyone about this. And you absolutely cannot tell anyone about my parents! If you do they might freak out and I might never be born!"
"Right. Got it, I won't say a word. Promise."
"Ok…now I think that's everything. I should get back home, and tell everyone that all went well."
"Right, send my well wishes to Bulma, and Gohan, since you said he was still alive too. And thanks, for this," Goku held up the bottle of medicine.
"Right, I will. And thank you. I'm sure you'll make a difference."
He had to.
Trunks then turned and left.
This, was a good day, all and all. Even meeting his father, as abrasive as he was, Trunks couldn't say he wasn't happy for it.
And as he powered up his time machine, he had a thought, not necessarily for the first time, but it was easier to ignore before.
Just what was he going to tell Clover?
-0-
I watched as Goku and Trunks walked off to talk, certainly far enough that no one would reasonably be able to hear them.
Too bad he forgot to account for Namekian ears.
I took a few steps back towards Ocari, placing a hand on his shoulder, "anything he says stays secret, ok? Don't go saying anything unless it's definitely safe."
The boy blinked at me but nodded anyway.
And now it was a waiting game, and watching reactions game.
I could assume they got to the part about Trunks's mom when Ocari started glancing between Bulma and back at Trunks.
And then the whole Vegeta dad thing when Piccolo actively flinched back in shock. I turned at the sound of coughing to see Raditz trying to right himself, glancing at Vegeta then trying to look like he wasn't glancing at Vegeta, "How the fuck-"
I, hopefully subtly, stepped back to the Radish who was luckily far enough away that no one could hear the slightly above average whispering.
"Are you spying?!"
"No," he said, as he not in the slightest bit subtly turned a dial on his scouter, looking solidly at the Trunks and Goku conversation.
Giving that to him was a mistake. It's a crutch preventing him from learning sensing and now it's a spying thing. And how much do you want to bet one of the things scavenged from Frieza's ship is more Scouters. Great.
Oh well, now I have three people to watch the reactions of.
I could assume they got to the real reason Trunks was here when Piccolo looked upmost serious, Ocari looked worried, and Radish was trying to pretend wasn't scared, which was becoming more and more common.
That went on for a while longer, Piccolo paying the most undivided attention.
At some point, Piccolo's eyes widened. Ocari gasped before covering his mouth, as if that would erase the sound. And Raditz was just kinda, frowning. More so than usual, that is.
I looked back at the two talking to see Trunks handing Goku something,
Ah, the heart medicine. Right.
How did that work again? I don't think it was preventative, or else Goku wouldn't have caught it in canon. I, I don't think there's much I can do to change when he gets it.
And then Trunks was flying back over here?
That, definitely didn't happen in canon.
And he was looking at me, and then landing by me, "here," he said, to me, "open this when you get home." He placed a capsule in my hands.
"Uh, ok…?"
And then he left again.
Ok then.
"Hey, what'd he give you?" Bulma asked, looking over my shoulder.
"A capsule," I opened my hand to show, just a normal capsule.
"Well? Open it," she urged.
"He said not to until I get home."
"Come on, now I'm curious."
I shrugged, closing my hand and shoving the capsule in my pocket.
If future boi says wait I shall wait.
The next thing that was said only seemed of interest to Raditz as his eyes visibly widened and he was all but glaring, "the goddamn what?!" He barely managed to keep his voice down enough not to attract attention,
And no further context.
Ok then. Piccolo and Ocari didn't really react, so a Sayain thing? Maybe Super Sayain? That's the only thing I could think of, but Would Trunks have mentioned that? It seems kinda risky for someone canonically concerned about changing timelines at this point.
Regardless, the talking seemed to be over as Trunks took off, and Goku returned over here, his arms crossed, clearly thinking hard about what he was told.
The rest of the group met him halfway. Nappa took up wrapping an arm around Raditz's shoulders to lead him along with the group. How considerate.
"So what's that guy tell you Goku?" Bulma asked.
"Oh, uh…nothing important really…"
"That's funny," Piccolo responded, "it all sounded pretty important to me."
Goku's head turned, wide-eyed towards Piccolo.
"Namekians. Good hearing. Ext ext," I shrugged.
"R-really? You heard it all then… and also…" he looked at Ocari, bringing everyone else's attention to Ocari.
The boy looked, concerned to say the least at the attention. He covered his mouth and shook his head, making it clear there'd be no secrets getting through him.
"What's so important that you can't tell us Goku?" Bulma redirected.
"Well, I can't really say, I promised, ya know?"
"That's fine. Then I will."
"But- you heard- if-"
"Don't worry. I won't say anything that might endanger his existence. But we deserve a chance to change our destinies. All of us, not just you."
"You're right. I'm sorry."
Piccolo went to explain, what frankly, I already knew. The only real notable thing was that 17 and 18's names were mentioned, which definitely did not happen in canon, considering the confusion over 19 and 20.
Once he finished I decided to add one thing, "we probably shouldn't expect things to go exactly the same. Dad not dying might change things alone, let alone anything else we might do."
"That's a good point. If the scientist Gero notices us training he might make his Androids stronger. Or the fact that Goku died in the Future Kid's time might have made the scientist more lax with how he treated them," Piccolo acknowledged.
"We aren't actually taking this seriously, right? I mean, time travel, that's absurd! Even by our standards," Yamcha asked. Which wasn't the most unreasonable response, technically.
"You can believe what you want, but since I don't want to die, I am going to train," Piccolo crossed his arms turning away, all but done with the conversation.
"Does it really matter if he was telling the truth or not? Just train as if he was, and if he wasn't then, you'll be stronger at least. Worst case scenario, wouldn't you rather be prepared?" I shrugged, shoving my hands in my pockets.
"Well, of course, the brat's got to agree with his crush," Raditz almost grinned.
"I will smite you!"
"He's got a fair point," Tien agreed, tactically ignoring Raditz, which prompted Yamcha to mumble some "I guesses."
"Sorry guys, guess all this trouble must have followed me home from Namek."
"Sound to me like it would have happened whether we went to Namek or not," I countered.
Before any of that back and forth could go anywhere Vegeta interrupted.
"Tell me Kakarot. How did you get off Namek?"
And so, Goku went into an explanation that was honestly a lot like canon. He managed to get to Frieza's ship, stole one of the Ginyu's pods, landed on Yardrat. Stayed until he learned the Instant Transmission. Explained it, and demonstrated it by a little bit stealing Roshi's glasses, which he then passed to Krillin to return.
"Shouldn't we be talking about more important things, like Androids?" Tien interrupted.
"Oh, gosh I almost forgot," Goku grinned, much to the exasperation of everyone else.
Piccolo provided elaboration in his stead, "On May 12th, just over three years from now, on an island nine miles southwest of South City at 10 o'clock in the morning, two killer Androids will arrive-"
"Ok ok, I was just joking. We all remember," Goku waved his hands in front of him.
"Hey, why don't we just get rid of Dr. Gero now?" All heads turned to Bulma.
Oh wow, the most logical decision. To be honest though, I couldn't say I was in favor of it. 17 and 18 in this time were more or less innocent and making them be a casualty didn't seem fair. Plus 16, who was kind of an outlier in any timeline. Besides, that wouldn't solve the real problem, being Cell. Even if 17 and 18 were destroyed, a people-drinking monster wasn't much better than his less people-drinky "perfect" counterpart.
Also, K18. Best ship.
"Is that right?" Ocari asked before I could come up with any objections of my own, "to hurt someone before they've done something wrong? I don't, I don't know."
"As much as a case the Namek brat makes for killing them now, there's no way I'm letting a fight like this be swept under the rug," Vegeta cut in.
"I, do not think I like you," Ocari said.
"I'm sure I'll manage to sleep tonight somehow."
"Ah, sorry Bulma," Goku smiled, "but I agree with ah-" he looked at Ocari, who relayed his name, "both Ocari and Vegeta. We should probably wait for them to actually do something wrong first, and the fight sounds pretty fun."
"But that boy said he's supposed to kill all of you! Why can't you just do the logical thing! What's more important? The world or your pride?"
"Well, what a stupid question," Vegeta said, which I expected the second she said the word pride, "obviously, my Pride." And with that, he was gone. Ironically right back to Capsule Corp, which, he has to know that's where Bulma lives, right?
Everyone else agreed to train, Bulma being the only one with any real complaints. Raditz, just didn't say anything.
Nappa approached Tien, which was more than enough for the triclops to tense up and stand in front of Chiaotzu.
"Hey so I realize you probably don't like me-"
"Yeah."
"-but I figured if you ever wanted a training partner, I'd offer."
Tien glared, "there is no way I could ever forgive you," he turned and walked away, still blocking the view of Chiaotzu with himself, "but I may consider the training offer."
With that, the two flew away.
"Hey Piccolo, wanna be my training partner? You and Gohan already train together so it'd be good to keep that consistent, right?" Goku asked, to which Piccolo agreed easily enough.
"Krillin? Yamcha? Want to join us?"
"No thanks," Krillin declined, "I think I'm gonna train with Master Roshi."
"Yeah, I like to train at my own pace Goku," Yamcha agreed, "and besides, I don't think I could keep up with you guys anyway."
Goku turned his head, and walked towards Raditz.
"Hey you can come too," Goku smiled.
"What?"
"Come train! We all have to get ready for three years, don't we?"
"…what the hell is wrong with you?"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"What do I- why are you acting like this is the first we've met? Like I didn't show up to this planet and kidnap your child, and threatening your precious friends' lives?"
"…are you saying that I shouldn't forgive you?"
"What I'm saying-" Raditz pinched the bridge of his nose, "what I'm saying is you haven't asked a single follow-up question!"
"Well sure, I mean, Gohan seems to trust you, and, no offense, but I don't, really think you're strong enough to really be a threat," Goku said that last part almost apologetically, at which Raditz glared.
"Do you think that pure strength is the only way someone could beat you? Have you never considered the possibility of someone attacking your friends or family instead? I already kidnapped your child once, in case you forgot."
"Gosh, you're really trying to make a case against yourself, huh?" Goku rubbed the back of his head, "But I don't think you'd be saying that if you actually would do anything. Why would you point it out then? My offer still stands."
Raditz just seemed, really frustrated.
Nappa couldn't help but add his two cents of, "I think this falls under the category of, I told you so," to which, Raditz, very much glared.
"You know…" I decided to cut in, "now that Vegeta's back, he'll probably end up spending a lot of time around Capsule Corp, you know, by default," I pointed out as I picked at my nails.
Raditz glared. Thought about it. Glared some more.
"Fine. Whatever," he crossed his arms and glared off.
"Yep. Just, cannot get a read on him," Krillin lamented.
"Alright, I guess we'll head off then," Goku waved bye to Bulma, Yamcha, and Krillin, "see you in three years!" He said, even though I found it very unlikely we'd never visit each other in that time.
"Raditz?" He asked, who just kinda snorted but didn't say anything against leaving, so, confirmation it is.
This should be, interesting.
You know, I wasn't gonna really hint towards Clover quite yet, let alone give you her name, but eh, I figured it'll be a few chapters until we get back to it, so I'd throw in a hint. Honestly a lot of Trunks's explanation I didn't really plan ahead of time. Obviously everyone knows the gist of how it's gonna go, but like, in terms of the dialogue that isn't derived from canon
Also, I was gonna end up switching to Trunks POV in order to show the conversation(TM) so I just figured I'd start with it
