Summary: After being inspired by Silver Sentry into believing that the Lotus Ninjas can accomplish so much more for the city, Michelle decides to try becoming a superhero.
Under a starry night, the Lotus Ninjas exited out of the movie theater.
"Best movie ever!" Ella exclaimed excitedly.
"The part where that Death Dealer is cornered by the werewolves, and she fought them off with amazing martial art moves." Lee said.
"And let's forget the cool weapons, especially her handguns. So awesome." Donna added.
"Hey girls, ever since we put the smackdown on that Lady Shade, we definitely accomplished something for the greater good." Ellie said.
Ella, Lee, and Donna stopped running before turning around at their youngest sister.
"You know, like helping people in need and stuff." Ellie pointed out.
Ella, Lee, and Donna exchanged confusion before staring back at Ellie. Seconds later, they all started laughing.
"Greater good?" Lee said.
"Puh-lease!" Donna grinned as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"You need to get your head out of the comic books, Ellie." Ella said.
"Go head. Laugh all you want, but there's more to life than just living in shadows all the time." Ellie explained.
Then, the sound of police car sirens caught the Lotus Ninjas' attention. Lee, Donna, Ella, and Ellie exchanged nods before springing up to a nearby rooftop. They altered their clothes into their ninja attire with waves of magic and quickly spotted a police car zipping down below. They followed the sound of sirens and stopped when they stood on a rooftop and saw a building that is on fire across the street.
The fire department tried to put the fire out by spraying the building with hoses. On an upper floor, a little girl waved at the window from inside the building. Her parents tried to get past through, but two firefighters prevented them from endangering themselves.
The little girl coughed while crying in tears.
"We gotta help that girl!" Ellie said.
Before Ellie could take action, Lee stopped her.
"Don't even think about it, Ellie. This is the job for the fire department." Lee reminded.
"Besides, we'd get spotted if we saved her." Donna added.
"But what if they can't rescue her in time?" Ellie asked.
"Well, that's where he comes in." Ella answered, pointing her finger up to the sky.
Ellie, Lee, and Donna collectively followed Ella's pointing finger until they saw an African-American man flying above the scene and hovering in front of the moon. He wore a white bodysuit, silver armbands, a blue cape, a blue mask, and silver boots below the knees.
"Oh, wow." Ellie said in awe. "I can't believe it's really him. It's Silver Sentry."
Silver Sentry zipped down towards the little girl in front of the window. He grabbed her in his arm and flew off just before the room exploded. He landed on the street and placed the little girl down. The little girls spotted her parents and hurried towards them with embrace.
Suddenly, the building stared to burst with more explosions.
"Stand back." Silver Sentry said to the firefighters.
Silver Sentry flew up and inhaled a deep breath. He then blew the fire out of the building.
The crowd cheered for Silver Sentry's success as Silver Sentry flew away.
"Now, that's what I'm talking about. A superhero who rather saves lives in public than stick to the shadows." Ellie commented. Then, she got an idea. "Hey, maybe we should become super heroes!"
"Say what now?" Ella asked in disbelief.
"You know, we can help and rescue the helpless, and go out on nightly patrols for crimes. We can work out in the open…" Ellie explained.
"Yeah, that's not gonna happen, Ellie. You need to stop rotting your brain with comic books." Donna said.
"But…" Ellie argued.
"Donna's right. We're kunoichis." Lee stated. "Sticking into the shadows is our number one priority."
Donna, Ella, and Lee then teleported away, leaving Ellie to cross her arms with a sad frown.
Suddenly, Ellie's eyes went pure orange for a split second. Through her eyes, an unexpected vision came into her view. In her vision, she saw a stocky, muscular teenage mutant turtle standing in front of her. He has light green skin, orange ninja bandana for the eyes, brown elbow and shoulder pads, and a pair of nunchakus hanging on his brown sash-like belt. He looked straight at her with narrow eyes.
After her vision ended, Ellie groaned as she placed her hand on her head.
"What was that all about?" Ellie asked to herself.
At the Crete Fortress, the mystic family sat around the dining table after finishing dinner.
"Looks like our chef has done it again." Lee commented.
"Katsudon, tempura, and yakitori." Saldana said with a smile. "Do you have dessert ready, Michelle?"
Ellie ignored Saldana as she focused on scribbling in a mini sketchbook.
"Michelle." Saldana called again.
Then, Ella grabbed the sketchbook out of Ellie's hand.
"What'cha got there?" Ella said.
"Hey! Give it back, Ella!" Ellie shouted.
Ella opened the sketchbook and stared at the pages with a huge smile.
"Hey, check this out." Ella said to Lee and Donna.
Lee and Donna glanced at the pages, where Ellie has drawn all four mystics wearing crime-fighting superhero costumes.
"Are you kidding me?" Ella asked.
"Is that us? As amateur superheroes?" Donna asked with a giggle.
Ellie glared at her older sisters before snatching back her sketchbook with her magic.
"Come on, Ellie. You can't be serious about becoming a superhero." Lee said as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"So, what if I am. Superheroes like Silver Sentry aren't afraid to hold back. Think what we could've accomplish so much more out in the city." Ellie argued.
"I understand your noble intentions, Michelle. There are many paths to wield your powers, but you cannot forget who you are. You are kunoichi. You operate in the shadows." Saldana explained. "You must choose the one that is true to yourself."
Ellie looked at her sketchbook for a moment before sitting up out of her seat.
"You guys go on with the dessert. I need to be alone for a while." Ellie said.
Ellie walked out of the kitchen just as Ekron hovered inside. Ekron looked at Ellie in concern and followed after her.
In her bedroom, Ellie sat on her bed. She began outlining her sketch down in her sketchbook.
Ekron phased through the door and nuzzled lovingly against Ellie's cheek.
"Oh, hey, Ekron." Ellie greeted. "You came to check on me, aren't you?"
Ekron nodded in response.
"Thanks." Ellie said. She rotated in front of Ekron. "Get this. I have an idea of becoming a superhero. That way I can help people out in the world without sticking to the shadows all the time. Now, be honest with me. It's lame, isn't it?"
Ekron shook himself, signaling that he doesn't think it's a bad idea.
"Really?" Ellie asked in shock. "So, you won't mind being my partner?"
Ekron nodded again.
"Oh, thank you, Ekron! You're the best!" Ellie cried happily as she wrapped her arms around Ekron and hugged him affectionately. "But first, I'm gonna need…a superhero costume. Something empowering. Something wicked. And something that screams 'criminals beware'." She sparked an idea after releasing Ekron. "I got it!"
Ellie levitated above her bed. She engulfed shimmering magic in her hand and released swirling energy around her ninja attire, transforming into her brand-new costume. She's now wearing a small reddish-orange cropped top with three-quarters length sleeves that shows off her midriff, a pair of tight black shorts, black fingerless gloves, and dark mahogany thigh-high combat boots.
"Ekron, I give you…Saffron Empress!" Ellie announced.
Ekron formed two hands out of yellow energy and applauded with a happy expression.
Later that night, Ellie and Ekron stood atop a building rooftop. They heard a loud sound of shattering glass and sprinted over to check it out. They looked down to see a man entering through the broken display window of "Crazy Manny's Electronics".
"A good old-fashioned robbery? Ekron, this is perfect for my first try." Ellie said with a smile.
Ekron quickly generated a yellow energized tentacle and stopped Ellie before pointing at another person down below. When Ellie followed Ekron's pointing tentacle, she spotted an unfamiliar person heading to the store. He wore a brown cape with his initials on the front, brown gloves, and brown boots. He also carried a grappling hook on his left side and a green turtle shell-shaped shield on his back.
"Who's that? Another superhero? This night just got interesting." Ellie grinned.
Ellie jumped down and Ekron followed after her.
Inside the store, the thief began taking money from the cash register and putting it in a bag. His eyes glowed in yellow light.
The unknown superhero broke through the front door. Before he can walk forward, Ellie and Ekron appeared at the door.
"Hold it right there!" Ellie shouted.
Ekron sent out two energized tentacles and restrained around the superhero. He flew forward and turned the superhero around as Ellie walked up towards him.
"Now, what are you...?" Ellie demanded.
Ellie stopped talking. Her jade green eyes instantly connected with the mutant turtle's black eyes. She felt her heart picking up speed. Her eyes glinted with a magenta shade just as it occurred with the mutant turtle, igniting an instant magical attraction between them.
A small gasp escaped out of Ellie's mouth as she quickly realized that he is the same mutant from her vision.
"Hi." Ellie greeted dreamily.
"Hi." The mutant turtle back with a dreamily smile. "Uh, can you tell your eyeball friend to untie me?"
"Oh, right, sorry." Ellie smiled sheepishly. She looked up at Ekron. "It's ok, Ekron. You can let him go."
Ekron obeyed and released the mutant superhero.
"Wow, I've never met another superhero before." The mutant turtle said. "Especially for someone as cute as you."
Ellie blushed with a giggle.
"Yeah, me neither." Ellie said. She realized what she just said and cleared her throat. "I'm Saffron Empress."
"Turtle Titan." The mutant superhero replied.
As both superheroes gazed into each other's eyes while stepping closer, Ekron flew in between them and signaled them that they have something important to do.
"Oh, right. Sorry, Ekron." Ellie apologized.
"Ekron?" Turtle Titan repeated, pointing at the floating eyeball creature.
"Yup. I gave him that name." Ellie replied as Ekron rubbed itself against Ellie's cheek. "I found it adorable ever since we met. Don't worry, he's very friendly."
Ellie, Ekron, and Turtle Titan turned their attention to the thief.
"Beware, evildoers! Turtle Titan and Saffron Empress are in the house!" Turtle Titan called out.
The man ignored Turtle Titan and Ellie as he continued emptying the cash register.
"So much for striking fear in the hearts of criminals." Mikey commented.
"I got this." Ellie said.
Ellie pinned the man against the wall with her boot.
"Once again, the name is Turtle Titan! Remember it, 'cause as of now, your name is..." Turtle Titan said.
Turtle Titan looked at a poster on the wall behind the man, recognizing that the thief is actually the store owner. Not only that, there's a small red robotic bug on the back of his neck.
"Crazy Manny?" Turtle Titan asked in disbelief.
Manny's eyes started to clear up back to normal and rubbed his forehead just as Ellie dropped her left boot and released him.
"What's going on?" Manny wondered in confusion as he looked around. He then saw Turtle Titan and Ellie standing in front of him. "Oh, my gosh! Please don't hurt me! Take anything! I got a family!"
"Wait! We didn't break into your store. You did." Ellie said.
"Why would I do that?" Manny asked.
"That's what we wanna know." Turtle Titan said.
The robotic bug detached itself from Manny's neck. It crawled down to Manny's shoulder before dropping to the floor. Turtle Titan and Ellie watched the bug crawling away out of the door.
"Hey, that doesn't look like part of your inventory." Turtle Titan remarked.
Suddenly, the sound of police sirens blared out. Two police cars pulled up in front of the store.
"Officer, in here!" Manny shouted, waving his arms in the air. "Some nut jobs trying to rip off my store!"
Turtle Titan looked panicked, but Ellie manifested a gust of wind around herself, Ekron, and Turtle Titan. She shaped the wind into a tornado before transporting out of the store.
On the sidewalk, the robotic bug transmitted an image of Manny and the officers to a view screen coming from a hidden lair belonging to a masculine figure wearing a red high-tech bodysuit over silver-grey battle armor. He is known as a supervillain named Dr. Malignus.
Dr. Malignus laughed evilly.
"My mind control bugs are a success, despite the interference of those heroic fools." Dr. Malignus said.
A robotic bug crawled up next to Dr. Malignus, who picked it up in his hands.
"One more field test to see how far I can push my helpless puppets. Then I will take control of my true target." Dr. Malignus continued.
With that, Dr. Malignus laughed manically.
Turtle Titan paced on the building rooftop and sighed dishearteningly.
"Hey, don't worry, Titan." Ellie assured, placing a comforting hand on Turtle Titan's shoulder. "It's only your first day."
"I know. You're right." Turtle Titan said.
"And honestly, it's my first day too." Ellie said.
"Really?" Turtle Titan said in surprise. "I mean, judging on how you use your powers back there, I thought..."
"I'm an actual superhero? Nope." Ellie said. "I mean, yeah, I have powers over air and wind. But I spend most of my time sticking in the shadows."
"Oh, tell me about it." Turtle Titan said with a scoff. "It's always bushido this and bushido that."
"It's like you're not free to make your own options." Ellie continued.
"Sometimes, you just wanted to do..." Turtle Titan said.
"You wanted to do..." Ellie said.
"More than being a kunoichi/ninja." Ellie and Turtle Titan said in unison.
Ellie and Turtle Titan looked at each other in surprise as they both realized they have a lot in common on what they just said. As they looked into each other's eyes, they slowly began to see that they're perfect for one another.
But then, Turtle Titan and Ellie heard a crash and the sound of a car alarm. They looked down at the street and saw a city bus careening out of control.
"What's up with people tonight?" Turtle Titan asked in disbelief.
"What do you mean?" Ellie asked.
"It's a long story." Turtle Titan explained.
Turtle Titan took out his grappling hook and swung down onto the roof of the bus. Ellie summoned a tornado around her waist and legs before following and landing next to Turtle Titan. Inside the bus, the bus driver's eyes are glowing in the same trance-like state as Manny from before. He careened through the streets while ignoring all the stoplights. He even hit fire hydrant, causing water to spray out.
As Turtle Titan opened up the roof hatch, he and Ellie jumped down into the bus. They ran forward before Turtle Titan grabbed the steering wheel.
"Sorry, pal." Turtle Titan apologized. He steered the bus away from the bank. "No one's gonna break the bank tonight!"
Turtle Titan pushed against the bus driver, allowing him to drive without trouble. He pressed on the brakes, but nothing happened.
"Don't tell me you cut the brakes!" Turtle Titan said in disbelief.
"Uh, Turtle Titan. I don't want to say anything to make things worse, but heads up!" Ellie cried out as she pointed her finger forward.
Turtle Titan followed Ellie's finger and saw that the bus is heading nonstop towards the pier.
The bus driver shoved Turtle Titan aside and took the wheel again as he continued driving straight forward.
"Whoa! Have you totally lost it?" Turtle Titan exclaimed.
Ellie looked on the man's neck and saw a small robotic bug.
"Or have I totally found it?" Ellie remarked.
As Ellie removed the robotic bug, the bus driver's eyes went back to normal.
"What's going on?" The bus driver asked as he rubbed his head.
"Offhand, I'd say you were being mind-controlled by this mechanical doohickey." Turtle Titan answered. He smashed the bug against a post when Ellie handed the robotic bug to him. "But you're safe now."
But the bus kept driving onto the pier.
"No, I'm not!" The bus driver said in fear.
As the bus drove off closer to the pier, Ellie manipulated wind from her hands and shaped it into a tornado underneath the bus driver.
"Listen, I'm gonna carry this guy out of the bus." Ellie said to Turtle Titan. "I'll be back in a quick second."
Ekron wrapped his energize tentacles around Ellie's arms before flying through the roof of the bus. Ellie controlled the tornado that soared out of the bus and gently landed the bus driver on the pier.
"Thank you so much!" The bus driver said with a smile.
Ellie nodded her head and Ekron flew back to the bus, but it immediately stopped and Ellie gasped in shock. Not only the bus didn't hit the water, but it is suddenly floating over the river. Silver Sentry is the one who carried the bus from underneath. He turned around and flew back to the pier, setting the bus gently down. Ellie watched as Turtle Titan tugged on his cape from between the close doors. He struggles to tug it loose and then fell down to the ground. That made Ellie giggle before Ekron flew down and landed her next to him.
Then, Silver Sentry walked up to Turtle Titan, Ekron, and Ellie.
"Are you two all right?" Silver Sentry asked.
"I... you…I mean, you're him! Central Survey! Surfer Sundry!" Turtle Titan stammered in shock.
"Silver Sentry." Silver Sentry corrected. "And you two are…?"
Turtle Titan quickly stood up.
"Michel... I mean, Turtle Titan. I'm a super hero, just like you. Well, obviously, not just like you." Turtle Titan stammered again. He grabbed Silver Sentry's hand in both of his hands and started shaking it nervously. "But, I mean, I've always admired your work."
"Uh-huh." Silver Sentry said slowly.
Silver Sentry then removed his hand from Mikey's hands.
"I'm Saffron Empress." Ellie smiled. She held out her hand. "It's a true honor to meet you."
"And it's nice to meet you too, Saffron. Love the name, by the way." Silver Sentry commented as he shook her hand. He noticed Ekron after he removed his hand from Ellie's hand. "Oh, who might this one be?"
"His name is Ekron. My partner." Ellie replied.
"I see." Silver Sentry. He turned back to Turtle Titan. "Your first night on the job, eh?"
"Is it that obvious?" Turtle Titan responded.
"Listen, uh, Turtle Titan, is it?" Silver Sentry questioned.
Turtle Titan nodded his head with a smile.
"I admire your good intentions, but this is a dangerous occupation. If you're not careful, someone's gonna get hurt. Most likely, you." Silver Sentry explained. He gestured his hand at Ellie. "At least, Saffron Empress took quick action to rescue that bus driver from danger."
"Thank you." Ellie said with a smile. Then, she went serious. "But listen, Turtle Titan may be a little inexperience, but it's his first time as a superhero. And it's my first time on the job. At least, give him a chance."
"I see." Silver Sentry said. He started to walk away. "You might want to call it a night."
Silver Sentry started to fly off in the air.
"Wait!" Turtle Titan called out. "You need to see this!"
Silver Sentry flew back down when Turtle Titan took out the robotic bug from his belt.
"Someone's been controlling people with these things. Making 'em to crazy stuff." Turtle Titan explained.
"And on top of that, the bus driver and the other people that Turtle Titan told me before, don't seem to remember anything from their actions." Ellie added.
Silver Sentry took the bug from Turtle Titan's hand and examined it.
"Hmm, looks like the work of my arch nemesis, Dr. Malignus." Silver Sentry said. "You may have disabled it, but it's still receiving a control signal."
Silver Sentry soared into the air up above the river. He narrowed his eyes and started listening for the control signal, allowing him to zones in on the sound and pinpoint the location of the control signal: a warehouse from across the river.
"It's originating from that warehouse." Silver Sentry murmured. As he zoomed down, he picked up Turtle Titan in his arms while picking up Ellie onto his back. "Let's go!"
"Whoa!" Turtle Titan cried.
Flying over the city, Ellie enjoyed the city's glistening lights in amazement while Turtle Titan looked very anxious about how high they are in the air.
"Are you all right?" Silver Sentry asked.
"Sorry, this is a first for me." Turtle Titan explained.
"First time flying?" Silver Sentry asked again.
"Not for me!" Ellie said as Ekron sat on top of her hair.
"I mean, first superhero team-up." Turtle Titan replied.
Silver Sentry then flew off in a different direction that caught Turtle Titan's attention.
"Hey, wait a minute! I thought you said the bad guy's warehouse was in the other direction." Turtle Titan pointed out.
Silver Sentry landed on a rooftop and placed Turtle Titan and Ellie down.
"Let's get one thing straight, Turtle Titan. There will be no superhero team-up tonight." Silver Sentry said sternly.
"But…" Turtle Titan spoke.
"You've got a lot of heart, kid, and I appreciate the help. But you're in way over your head." Silver Sentry said. "You need to keep yourself safe and out of sight while I deal with Malignus."
Silver Sentry flew away.
But Turtle Titan wasn't ready to give up just yet and ran after the superhero. Ellie and Ekron followed after him, but they knew that Turtle Titan couldn't keep up.
"You don't understand! I took this gig so I wouldn't have to hide in the shadows!" Turtle Titan shouted.
But Silver Sentry already disappeared into the sky.
"Eh, what does he know?" Turtle Titan asked.
"Yeah, we don't need his approval." Ellie agreed. "Let's show him how we do things…our way."
Turtle Titan, Ekron, and Ellie sprinted across the rooftops, trying to chase after Silver Sentry.
Silver Sentry soared over the river and then bursted through the roof of the warehouse.
Turtle Titan and Ellie managed to catch up, but they noticed that the warehouse is far across the river.
"What I wouldn't give for a turtle plane right about now." Turtle Titan said with a sigh.
"And that's where I'm come in." Ellie grinned.
Ellie manipulated the wind and focused a considerable number of wind streams in a single place. Once the wind streams are gathered, Ekron picked Turtle Titan with its tentacles and placed on the wind streams. Ellie then hopped on top of it and rode it as a vehicle.
"Wow, you really are the master of the wind." Turtle Titan smiled.
"Thank you." Ellie smiled back.
Ellie reached the warehouse and landed on the rooftop, where she, Ekron, and Turtle Titan noticed the hole left in the roof. Ekron wrapped Turtle Titan and Ellie with its tentacles as it descended through the hole and placed them on the ground.
Turtle Titan and Ellie walked and looked around the very dark room.
"Hello? Any nefarious twisted evildoers in the house?" Turtle Titan called out.
Suddenly, a brilliant spotlight flashed on.
"Just the one!"
Turtle Titan, Ellie, and Ekron shielded their eyes to block the spotlight. Once the spotlight dimmed, they looked up to see Dr. Malignus standing on a high platform inside the laboratory, where there are several attachable wires onto his body and computer monitors all around him.
"Dr. Malignus, I presume." Turtle Titan said.
"I'm sorry. I haven't had the pleasure, Mr. and Ms…?" Dr. Malignus said.
"I'm Saffron Empress and he's Turtle Titan. Now, what have you done with Silver Sentry?" Ellie demanded.
"Why, he's right here." Dr. Malignus replied.
Dr. Malignus waved his hand to the left side of the laboratory. Turtle Titan, Ellie, and Ekron looked over to see Silver Sentry hovering just above the floor in the dark corner of the warehouse.
"Oh, there you are. Had us worried for a sec." Turtle Titan said.
As Turtle Titan moved towards Silver Sentry, Ekron pointed his tentacle with a frantic look. Ellie took notice and followed its pointing tentacle until she saw the yellow glow in Silver Sentry's eyes.
"Turtle Titan, wait!" Ellie called out.
Silver Sentry suddenly flew straight for Turtle Titan. Both of his clenched fists smashed into Turtle Titan, sending him crashing into the brick wall.
Before Ekron and Ellie could attack, Silver Sentry punched them as well that made them crash into the brick wall from either side of Turtle Titan.
Ekron, Turtle Titan, and Ellie landed on the floor as Turtle Titan rubbed his head with a groan.
"Did I mention he's completely under my control?" Dr. Malignus asked.
"No." Turtle Titan and Ellie retorted.
"Yes." Dr. Malignus said. He pointed his finger to a mind control bug on the back of Silver Sentry's neck. "Silver Sentry is my slave to do all my villainous bidding. Your hero is now powerless to stop himself from becoming the very thing he despises the most, a super villain! And your first villainous task, my super puppet, destroy Turtle Titan and Saffron Empress!"
Silver Sentry lifted Turtle Titan up over his head by the cape and pinned Ellie and Ekron with his feet.
Dr. Malignus laughed evilly at the helpless Turtle Titan, Ellie, and Ekron.
"Fight it, Silver Sentry! You don't really want to hurt us!" Turtle Titan pleaded.
"That's the beauty of my plan. He doesn't want to hurt you, but he can't stop himself." Dr. Malignus explained.
"Then, it's up to us to stop him." Ellie said with a bold face.
Silver Sentry threw Turtle Titan away. But Turtle Titan grabbed onto the vertical beam in the rafters and spun around before balancing himself on the beam. Silver Sentry then grabbed Ellie and Ekron with both hands before throwing them straight at Turtle Titan. But Ellie constructed a tornado around her waist, making her maintain balance and altitude in the air before catching Ekron in her arms.
Silver Sentry flew up towards Turtle Titan, Ellie, and Ekron. Turtle Titan threw his shield at the superhero. The shield managed to hit Silver Sentry's chest, but Silver Sentry crushed it between his hands.
"Right, what were we thinking?" Turtle Titan asked sarcastically.
Ellie inhaled a deep breath and then unleashed a strong gust of wind at Silver Sentry from her mouth. Ekron fired a blast of yellow energy from its pupil at Silver Sentry. But Silver Sentry held up one hand and deflected the wind and energy-based attack.
Turtle Titan spun his grappling hook and tossed it overhead. Silver Sentry flew up past him and caught the line before yanking Turtle Titan up. Ellie and Ekron flew up after Silver Sentry, who grabbed them with his other hand at once.
Silver Sentry dangled Turtle Titan high above the floor and then snapped the rope.
"Dispose of those pests!" Dr. Malignus said.
Silver Sentry then lifted her arms to hold Turtle Titan, Ellie, and Ekron up over him. He threw them through the wood shuttered window. Turtle Titan and Ellie crashed into a stack of wooden crates while Ekron landed onto Ellie's stomach. They stood up in time to see Silver Sentry crashing through the wall in their direction. Ellie grabbed Ekron in one arm as she and Turtle Titan ducked down to avoid Silver Sentry, who flew past them and knocked down some crates and barrels in his path.
Then, Silver Sentry soared up high in the sky. He looked down to see Turtle Titan, Ellie, and Ekron are nowhere in sight. Even Dr. Malignus can't search for them through Silver Sentry's eyes.
"Where is he? Find him. Destroy him!" Dr. Malignus demanded.
As Silver Sentry started searching, Turtle Titan and Ellie peeked around the corner of a building.
"You know, maybe Master Splinter was right...again." Turtle Titan said. He removed his superhero costume. "Maybe it's time to get back to basics. Ninja turtle style!"
"I'm with you." Ellie agreed. She waved her hand back and forth with a grabbing shape and released a swirl of magic around herself, changing her superhero costume back into her ninja attire. "This is more of my style anyway."
Turtle Titan stared at Ellie as he couldn't help it to notice her beauty, making him wolf-whistle.
Ellie giggled.
"I'm Michelle, by the way." Ellie said. "But I go by Ellie."
"Michelangelo, but you can call me Mikey." Mikey said with an outgoing wink.
Silver Sentry stood on the ground and gazed around. When he started hearing Mikey's voice, he picked up a metal barrel and flew up into the air.
"Yoo-hoo! Over here, big guy!" Mikey called out.
Silver Sentry looked around for Mikey, but he doesn't see the mutant turtle.
"No, over here!" Ellie called out.
Silver Sentry looked around for Ellie, but he doesn't see the mystic kunoichi nor Ekron.
Silver Sentry landed on the ground. Mikey and Ellie flipped out from hiding behind him. But Silver Sentry quickly spotted them.
"Uh-oh." Mikey and Ellie said.
Silver Sentry tossed the barrels at Mikey and Ellie, who jumped over them. But the next barrel caught Mikey in the chest and crashed him to the ground. Silver Sentry then grabbed Ellie by the neck and lifted her up in front of him.
"Now, my puppet, the coup de grace!" Dr. Malignus ordered.
Just as Silver Sentry raised his other fist, Mikey stood up and proceeded to backflip over the superhero before landing onto his back.
Ellie then whistled loudly with two fingers in her mouth. Ekron came into the scene and detaching the robotic bug from Silver Sentry's neck. Silver Sentry's eyes went back to normal.
"Thank you, Invisible Flying Dragon." Mikey said as he jumped off of Silver Sentry.
Ekron then crushed the robotic bug in its tentacle.
"Good job, Ekron." Ellie said with a smile.
Silver Sentry then turned to Mikey and Ellie.
"Thanks, Turtle Titan. You too, Saffron Empress." Silver Sentry said. He placed both hands on Mikey and Ellie's shoulder. "You've earned your superhero team-up."
Silver Sentry bursted through the door of the warehouse.
"It's over, Malignus! You've lost!" Silver Sentry declared angrily
Silver Sentry flew over towards Dr. Malignus.
"Only this round, Sentry!" Dr. Malignus said.
Before Silver Sentry could grab the supervillain, the platform descended that shocked the superhero when he crashed into the wires.
"The game will continue!" Dr. Malignus said with a malicious laugh.
The platform descended down, where it took Dr. Malignus straight underground. The doors opened that allowed Dr. Malignus to escape into the sewers.
"Muscle-bound fool! Doesn't he know I always have an escape plan?" Dr. Malignus said.
Dr. Malignus started running until he quickly halted when he spotted Mikey, Ellie, and Ekron.
"Hi. Remember us?" Mikey called out.
Mikey and Ellie charged forward as they kicked Dr. Malignus hard, sending him crashing into the open elevator.
"Who needs a shield and grappling hook anyway?" Mikey asked.
Outside, Mikey, Ellie, and Ekron stood on a building rooftop as they both watched Malignus being taken away by the police.
Silver Sentry then hovered down to Mikey, Ellie, and Ekron.
"Thanks for the help." Silver Sentry said. "You two are welcome to team up with me anytime, Turtle Titan and Saffron Empress."
"The name's Michelangelo." Mikey said. "And from now on, I'll leave the limelight to guys like you."
"Same here." Ellie agreed. "And I'm Michelle, by the way. It was fun and all, but I realized that being a superhero isn't really my thing, after all."
Mikey swiftly flipped to the shadows and looked back at Silver Sentry.
"I can do a lot more good for this town in the shadows." Mikey declared.
"Ditto." Ellie said. "Oh, one more thing, Mikey."
Ellie walked up to Mikey and magically conjured a piece of paper in his right hand.
"What's this?" Mikey asked in confusion.
"My number." Ellie answered. She kissed Mikey on the cheek and winked flirtatiously at him. "Call me."
With that, Ellie magically disappeared with Ekron.
"Man, I love that girl." Mikey said with a wide smile.
Back in the Crete Fortress, Ellie and Ekron entered into the living room. Ekron nuzzled Ellie's cheek and flew away. Ella, Donna, and Lee walked out of the kitchen just in time to notice their youngest sister's arrival.
"Well, well, well. Look who's back from her superhero patrol." Ella said sarcastically.
Ella, Donna, and Lee quickly ran up to Ellie, who ignored them with a straight face.
"After her heroic success on the job." Donna teased.
"What brings you to your secret cloaking headquarters?" Lee asked teasingly.
Ellie continued to ignore her older sisters and grabbed the remote, turning on the TV that showed Silver Sentry with a male news reporter on the screen. Ella, Lee, and Donna gathered behind Ellie to watch the news report.
"In a Brooklyn warehouse where the Silver Sentry has defeated and captured the criminal mastermind known as Dr. Malignus. Any comments on the incident, Silver Sentry?" The news reported spoke, holding his microphone up to Silver Sentry.
"I just wanna say I couldn't have done it without the help of my new friends and allies, Turtle Titan and Saffron Empress." Silver Sentry said with a smile.
Ellie grinned and turned off the TV, leaving her older sisters dropping their mouths wide open in an utter mix of shock and surprise.
"Uh, what?" Donna said.
"Did...did he just said...?" Ella asked.
"Don't tell me. You're Saffron Empress?" Lee asked.
"Yup." Ellie replied.
"Who is this Turtle Titan?" Donna asked.
Hearing the word "Turtle" made Ella and Lee secretly cringe.
"That's for me to know and you three to find out." Ellie said. She turned around to face her sisters. "But hey, I'm a kunoichi. It just took me a while to realize that sticking into the shadows is the best at what I do."
"And for that, I'm proud of you." Saldana said as she walked up to her daughters.
"Thanks, mom." Ellie smiled back. "Now, who's up for training?"
Ellie placed her hands on her hips and winked at the readers.
