Chapter 8
(A week later)
It had been a week since the raid on Mr Sato's warehouse and him going on the run.
In that time, Asami had abandoned her father's mansion in a show of rejection of her father to the press.
She was now living with Naruto and Will, along with Ru, in Naruto's new apartment, since it was big enough for the four of them.
Today, they were all in the Rising Tide.
Ru was working as a waitress now, since Naruto knew she wanted to have a job, and he and Will insisted on giving her one at the restaurant.
While Ru was taking some orders, Will was looking at the newspaper as Asami was sitting at the bar and petting Kurama, with Naruto cooking in the kitchen.
"What the hell?!" Will yelled, as she slammed the newspaper on the table.
"What is it? Did Ru's mom get outed as a supremacist asswipe? No offense" Naruto asked, before looking at Ru.
"None taken sweetie," Ru said with a shake of her head at Naruto, as she served some customers.
"No. But that asshole Tarrlok has announced a curfew for all non-benders, and is taking control of the Metalbenders, until Amon is captured" Will growled out.
"Well, doing that is gonna add more fuel to the fire" Asami said with a frown.
"Yeah, he's basically helping Amon grow his army by doing that," Naruto said with a scowl.
Kurama made a stupid face at this and barked at this, before falling over and twitching.
"Huh?" Ru asked with a raised eyebrow, not getting what Kurama was saying.
"I'm gonna guess politicians are all retarded" Naruto said, as he came out of the kitchen, carrying a tray of burgers, pizzas and fries.
Kurama stood up at this and barked with a smile, before Naruto put a burger in his mouth
"You think Korra and Tenzin know about this?" Will asked.
"Tenzin has probably already forbidden her from insulting Tarrlok to his face" Asami said, as she pet Kurama, who wagged his tail at this.
"Yea, good luck with that," Naruto said with a snort.
"Yea. Me and Korra have a list to get through" Will said with a grin.
"How far through it are you?" Ru asked her, as she walked over.
"Let's just say, if he or his Metalbenders even look at you wrong, she's gonna say things that the press will have to censor what she yells at him" Naruto said.
"Speaking of Kurama, you are on guard duty with Ru and Asami. If Tarrlok or his goons make a move…have fun" Will said with a mad grin that the fox.
Kurama gained his own mad grin at this, which made the customers in the restaurant nervous, seeing as the newspaper had pictures of him in his giant form after the raid last week. So it was pretty much known what he was capable of, if he was made mad.
"You just love asking for trouble, don't you?" Asami asked Will with a raised eyebrow.
"Hey, if the council of morons wants to play stupid games, they can win stupid prizes," Naruto said with a shrug.
"And the grand prize is a trip to the hospital or the morgue. I'm not sure yet" Will said.
Ru gave Will a flat look at this. "I think you need therapy," she said.
"The voices say no therapy" Will said with a firm tone, as she looked at Ru with a creepy look.
Naruto and Asami snorted at this, while Kurama snickered at this and Ru chuckled nervously.
Korra then walked into the restaurant with an annoyed look on her face.
"I take it that you've either read the paper, or Tenzin told you" Naruto said, upon seeing her.
"That, and I still haven't gotten Airbending yet. Not even a puff" Korra grumbled out, as she sat at the bar next to Asami.
"Have you tried asking one of your past lives?" Naruto asked her, as he gave some customers some food.
"Um…." Korra said, as she trailed off.
"Let me guess; not the best at being spiritual?" Asami asked with a teasing smile.
Korra said nothing to this, but pouted at her teasing.
"Well, your past lives are there for a reason, babe. So you may as well try at some point" Naruto said, as he approached and patted her on the shoulder.
"Well, I have been getting flashes of visions for a while," Korra said.
"Oh? I hope it was from Kyoshi. I heard she was a hot one -" Will was saying, before Ru grabbed her ear and twisted it slightly
"Bad Will. Do I need to get the spray bottle out?" Ru asked.
"Please ignore her. We're having her trained, and eventually fixed" Naruto said to Korra, making her giggle at this.
"You wish! Ow!" Will yelled, before Ru pulled on her ear some more.
"Anyway, what about these visions?" Asami asked curiously.
"It's mostly just flashes of Aang, dealing with things in the city and I can't make sense of any of it," Korra said with a shrug.
"Well, meditation will provide you with some help. You need to make a connection with Aang, since it's obvious he's trying to tell you something important" Naruto said, as he placed some food in front of her.
"Yea, I know," Korra said with a nod, before she helped herself to some pizza.
"Now, what brings you here? Besides pizza" Naruto said with a knowing smile.
"I was thinking of starting a team to go after equalists, and I wanted to ask you guys -" Korra was saying, before she was cut off.
"Sold!" Will yelled, throwing her fist in the air at this.
Kurama barked at this, as he raised his paw in agreement
"What, you mean as in a new Team Avatar?" Ru asked curiously, as she had heard that's what Avatar Aang's team was called.
"Exactly. I already asked Bolin to join the team, and he's in. So what about you guys?" Korra asked with a smile.
"Hang on, just Bolin? What about Mako?" Will asked curiously.
"Yeah, having a cop on the team would help," Naruto said with a nod.
"Bolin said he was gonna ask him, and I don't know if he's gonna join yet" Korra said with a shrug.
"He better join. I just got used to using his name, and if I have to go back to calling him nark, I'm not switching back" Will said, as she went back to taking customers orders.
"Stay mature Will" Naruto said with a chuckle, as he shook his head at this.
"Never!" Will yelled with a smile at this, making the girls laugh and Kurama snicker.
(Later that night)
It was now night, and Asami was driving a Satomobile with Mako in the passenger seat, while Will, Bolin and Korra were in the back seat.
"Does he have to sit on my head?" Mako asked while pointing at Kurama, who was sitting on his head.
"Suck it up Radar, now keep scanning" Will said, looking over at him.
Mako rolled his eyes at this, as he continued to use the police scanner in the car.
Meanwhile, Naruto was driving his motorcycle, while Ru was hugging him from behind.
"I still say she cheated, when we were drawing straws for who rides with Naruto" Will said with a pout.
"Oh, grow up. Besides, she's the newbie, so let her have it" Asami said with a grin, as she looked over her shoulder slightly at her.
"We have something," Mako said, as the radio started to pick up something.
"^Non benders are causing a scene downtown^" a female voice said.
"Onward, Team Avatar!" Bolin yelled with a smile, as Asami made a sharp turn, with Naruto right behind them.
Soon, they arrived at what looked like a crowd of people arguing with the Metalbenders.
"Oh jeez, this doesn't look good," Bolin said with a frown at this.
"What's going on here?" Korra asked, as she jumped out of the Satomobiile and ran over to the crowd, with everyone else following her.
"They shut off our power and refuse to turn it back on!" one of the people in the crowd yelled out, getting nods of agreement from the rest of the crowd.
"Let me guess; this is the council of bigots trying to give them incentive to sell out their own, if they are Equalists?" Naruto asked one of the Metalbenders with a raised eyebrow.
The Metalbenders said nothing to this.
"Turn the power back on, otherwise you're gonna push them right into Amon's ranks" Will said to the Metalbenders.
"Is that a threat, Miss Vandom?" a voice asked, getting their attention and when the team turned to look, they saw Tarrlok approaching them.
"It's called cause and effect, you idiot," Naruto said as he glared at Tarrlok.
"Yea. If you treat people like shit, they tend to rebel and you get bad results" Mako said with a firm tone, as he nodded at this.
"Turn the power on, or I will" Korra said, getting in the captain of the Metalbenders face.
"They don't answer to you," Tarrlok said with a firm tone.
"Fair enough" Will said with a nod, before she moved her fingers, which made a spark appear. But before she could do anything, a Metalbender grabbed her wrist.
"You really don't want to do that" Naruto said with a wince, as he knew what Will would most likely do.
"You're interfering with police business. Leave or -" the Metalbender was saying, before Will jammed her knee into his gut, then she slammed her palm into his jaw, sending some teeth flying, as the Metalbender fell to the ground.
"You're not the police, you're a bigots puppet" Will said with a glare at Tarrlok, as she cracked her knuckles.
Tarrlok glared at Will at this, as he tightened his fists.
"I wouldn't. Attacking people actually trying to help citizens won't look good in the news" Bolin said with a smirk.
Tarrlok scowled at this, before he nodded at his men, who went to the power station and turned it back on.
This caused the crowd to cheer, before they all dispersed and started to go home.
"See? This is what a leader should do," Naruto said, as the group went to their vehicles.
"Yeah, so take notes jackass" Will said with a condescending smirk.
Tarrlok growled at this, before he looked at Asami and Ru and smirked. "Arrest those two" he said to his men, as he pointed at them.
Asami and Ru looked surprised at this, before they were grabbed by the Metalbenders.
"What the hell are you doing?" Korra demanded, as she stormed over to him and got in his face, an angry look on her face.
"They are non benders, and there is a curfew in effect. So back off Avatar" Tarrlok said firmly.
"Oh yea, like I'm gonna do that" Will said, as she took a step forward, her hands aflame.
Kurama, who was on Mako's head, growled at the Metalbenders. But before he could move, he was hit with a smoke bomb which made him yelp and fall to the ground asleep, along with Mako
"Kurama! Mako!" Bolin yelled out in surprise, before he tried to help his brother and the fox, but was quickly subdued.
"Oh, it's fucking on now!" Will yelled out, before she attacked the Metalbender who threw the smoke bomb at Kurama, before she was attacked by the Metalbenders.
"You're asking for a fight," Naruto said with a glare at Tarrlok, as he made a Rasengan.
"Are you sure you want to go to war with the city?" Turlock asked with a hard tone at this, as Korra and Naruto glared back at him.
"…...fine" Naruto said, as he let his Rasengan disappear.
"Naruto?" Korra asked curiously.
"What the hell?!" Will yelled in surprise, before she was tackled by the Metalbenders, who tried to subdue her. "Oi! Get off me!"
"We can't just fight the city. Don't worry, I'll get Tenzin to get you all out" Naruto said, as he looked at the group.
Asami and Ru nodded at this, as they went quietly with the Metalbenders, along with the others,…while Will was carried off after being bound and gagged.
"You can have your pet. But if he attacks anyone that's not an Equalist, don't be surprised if the next smoke bomb puts him down for good" Tarrlok said, as one of his Metalbenders handed Korra Kurama, who took him with a glare.
"This isn't over Tarrlok" Korra said with a glare at him, before he left with his men, after they locked up their friends in a truck and drove off.
(The next night)
Naruto and Korra had tried all day to try and get their friends out of prison, with the help of Tenzin, but they were giving Tenzin the run around, and it would take him a while to get them out, if Tarrlok wouldn't approve it.
So now, Naruto and Korra were entering Tarrlok's office through his window, which got both his and his secretary's attention.
"We need to talk," Korra said with a firm tone.
"So I would leave, miss," Naruto said with a look at the secretary.
"Are the other council members gone for the night?" Tarrlok asked his secretary, as he looked up from his paperwork.
"Yes sir, they have all gone home for the night" the secretary said with a nod.
"Then you should go too," Tarrlok said, with a wave of his hand.
The secretary nodded at this, before she made her way out the door.
"Ok, let's cut to the chase. You two want me to free your friends, and quite frankly, the Metalbenders are running out of fingers from trying to feed Miss Vandom" Tarrlok said, as he steepled his fingers.
"Well, you're the dumbass abusing his power and trying to intimidate everyone into submission" Naruto said with a glare, while mentally praising Will for giving the Metalbenders hell even in lockup.
"And you two aren't doing that now? You two are obviously itching to attack me, if I don't let your friends go" Tarrlok said, as he stood up.
"Well, you do bring out certain instincts when your trying to get me under your thumb" Korra said with a glare, as she and Naruto had talked, and after thinking about it, it was obvious that the reason Tarrlok had locked up there friends, was because he wanted her working for him.
"Here's my offer; you all fall in line, and I'll let your friends go," Tarrlok said firmly, as he looked at his fountain.
"No deal Tarrlok" Korra said, shaking her head at this, as she was not willing to make any deals with him.
"Yea, I don't make deals with power hungry tyrants, like you and Amon" Naruto said with a glare at the man.
Tarrlok clenched his hands at this. I have tried to be patient with you, but you have pushed me to this" he said, before he spun around and shot a water wave from the fountain towards the duo, forcing them to jump back as it cut into the bookshelf. Korra kicked the ground, causing the floor to crack and rumble, as Tarrlok was knocked back into the fountain wall.
Naruto and Korra shot off simultaneous wind and fire blasts towards the corrupted councilman. He quickly formed a water dome around himself, shielding him from attacks as they hit, causing the flames to blow into nothing but steam.
Tarrlok then retaliated with a barrage of ice spears launched at the young benders. Naruto summoned up his own dome of wind to shield him and Korra, before rocking forward, crashing directly into Tarrlok, sending him smashing through the wall and onto the bottom floor. But he quickly grabbed onto the railing, to keep from falling as Korra and Naruto stepped out.
"Still think I'm a half baked Avatar?!" Korra exclaimed, as she caused the foundation above Tarrlok to crumble apart, sending him crashing to the ground. Naruto then jumped over, landing behind Tarrlok, kicking him across the face, knocking him into another bookshelf, causing it to tumble over.
Korra then jumped down, while Naruto grabbed Tarrlok by the scruff of his shirt.
"What are you gonna do now, you're all our water?" Naruto said, raising his fist up as he was about to smash it in Tarrlok's face, when suddenly he felt something; a painful surge running through his body, as it started to shake and twitch.
Korra looked on, as Naruto let Tarrlok go and noticed the painful expression on his face.
"Naruto!" Korra yelled in worry glaring at Tarrlok. "What have you don - ugh!" Korra's demands were cut off as she felt something was wrong with her body. Tarrlok moved his hands, causing them both to cry out in pain, as they tried to move their bodies.
"You and your boyfriend are in my way Avatar, and you both need to be removed" Tarrlok stated with a glare.
"You...you're a Bloodbender," Naruto stated, realizing what's happening.
"How very observant," Tarrlok said with a grin.
"But it's not a full moon. How are you doing this?" Korra asked, as she struggled to get free.
"There are a lot of things you don't know about me" Tarrlok said, as he threw Korra's body into a nearby wall, knocking her out
"Korra!" Naruto shouted, as he glared at Tarrlok, before he yelled out, throwing a punch towards him, but Tarrlok kept his hold. To his shock though, the boy's fist was still coming his way, with Naruto gritting his teeth, as he fought back against the man's control.
"Your annoyingly stubborn Uzumaki" Tarrlok sneered, as he began applying more force on the boy, causing Naruto's veins to grow slightly more visible. He bit into his lip, drawing some blood, both men glaring at one another in a force of will. Tarrlok then threw Naruto into a nearby wall, knocking him out; he then pushed down the bookshelf on Naruto, just for good measure.
"That takes care of them" Tarrlok smirked, when suddenly he heard a growl coming behind him, and turned to see Kurama growling at him, as his tail waved back and forth, his eyes glaring at the councilman in rage.
"Do you think I'm afraid of some flea bitten pup?" Tarrlok said, thrusting his hand forward. Kurama's growls only grew more, as he felt the Bloodbending run through his body. Slowly, the young fox's eyes turned fully red and his fur darkened, as Tarrlok looked on with shock as Kurama slowly began to grow in size, easily towering over him.
Kurama roared loudly, as he shook the building. Tarrlok held up his arms to keep the wind out of his eyes.
"Worthless mutt! You've only made yourself a bigger target!" Tarrlok yelled, thrusting out his hands, when Kurama lunged down, biting into Tarrlok's arm, causing him to scream out in pain, as the fox hurled him downwards, smashing him into the ground like a rag doll. He then threw him up into the rooftop, cracking the roof as he fell towards the ground, only to be quickly tackled by Kurama, slamming into him hard.
Naruto felt something wet brushing up against his cheek, his vision slowly coming back as he opened his eyes and looked up to see Kurama happily barking at him. Naruto got up on his elbow, and looked around noticing the damage around the room, till he noticed Tarrlok wedged into a wall with pure white eyes and blood dripping from the left corner of his mouth.
Naruto looked down at Kurama, as his tail wagged and smiled.
"Good boy," Naruto said, rubbing his head.
He then heard something upstairs, as he looked up and saw Tarrlok's secretary looking down at them, a look of shock and fear on her face.
"I'm gonna guess you didn't know he's a Bloodbender?" Naruto asked her, as he got on his feet.
"N-no, I didn't. Are you and Miss Korra ok?" the secretary asked nervously.
"We should be. Call the Metalbenders and Tenzin. We can count on you as a witness, right?" Naruto said, before he walked over to Korra.
"Of course!" the secretary said as she nodded, ready to help, before she ran off to go call help.
Naruto approached Korra, before he picked her up and carried her over to a couch nearby, and placed her on it to make her comfortable.
Kurama sniffed at her curiously, while Naruto held her wrist.
"She's just knocked out. She should be fine soon" Naruto said to Kurama, knowing he was worried.
After a few moments, some Metalbenders arrived and they quickly grabbed Tarrlok and bound him securely, since the secretary made it very clear what he was capable of.
"Spirits, you and the Avatar beat the hell out of him" one of the Metabenders said to Naruto, as they carried Tarrlok off.
"Actually, it was Kurama who beat him," Naruto said with a grin, as he gestured to Kurama.
"…..so the news wasn't lying? He's an actual spirit?" the Metalbender asked, as he looked at Kurama with wide eyes, while the kitsune smirked at him.
Korra soon groaned and woke up, holding her head.
"Hey, there's my Waterbender," Naruto said, as he smiled at Korra.
"Oh man, I hurt all over," Korra groaned out.
"Want me to kiss you all over, and make it go away?" Naruto asked with a grin.
Korra scoffed at this, but smirked at Naruto before she looked at the Metalbender in the room. "What, you're gonna arrest us too?" she asked him.
"No, Miss Korra. We're here to arrest councilman Tarrlok, for attacking you with an illegal form of bending. And rest assured, your friends will be free within an hour or so" the Metalbender said to her.
"Wait, you beat Tarrlok?" Korra asked Naruto with a raised eyebrow.
"Nope, he did. He left him embedded in the wall" Naruto said, pointing at Kurama and then the ceiling and the wall, where there was still a hole, which a few Metalbenders were trying to fix with Earthbending.
"….good kitsune" Korra said with a smile at the kitsune.
Kurama barked at this, as he wagged his tail.
Suddenly, they heard some shouting outside.
Naruto, Korra and the Metalbenders still inside quickly ran outside, with Kurama close behind and saw the Metalbenders on the ground, while their truck was gone.
"What happened here?" Korra asked the Metalbenders, as they all got off the ground.
"Equalists. They attacked us and took Tarrlok" one of the Metalbenders said with a groan.
"They prioritized him over you guys?" Naruto asked, finding this odd, as they were all Metalbenders and equipped to fight Amon and his equalists, while Tarrlok was just a councilman, as far as everyone here knew.
"…..Amon knows. Somehow he knows he's a Bloodbender, and he prioritized him" Korra said with a firm look on her face.
"Any idea how he learned to pull that move without a full moon?" Naruto asked curiously.
Korra nodded her head at this. "While I was knocked out, Aang showed me. Come on, I'll explain while we get the others out of jail" she said, before she looked at Kurama. "Are you up to giving us a ride?" she asked him.
Kurama barked at this, before he grew to the size of a polar bear dog.
Naruto and Korra got on Kurama's back, before he took off down the road.
P.O.M and Kfbanime87 were sitting in their office, before, like always….
Howdy folks! Deadpool yelled out, as he walked in through the door

Preach! P.O.M yelled, as he held his fist out to Kfbanime87, who gave him a fist bump

Before he was set on fire from Kfbanime87, throwing a fireball at him from his hand, while holding a fire flower in his other hand
Ahhhh! My everything is on fire! Deadpool yelled, as he ran around the room, before he jumped out the window breaking it

I would also like to point out that this is the last new fanfic that me and Kfbanime87 will be writing together until we finish one, as writing too many fanfics takes up too much time.
The harem is: Will, Korra, Asami, Opal and Ru. And don't worry, we have a plan for who to have Bolin pair with (which I'm sure will leave many of you shocked). Hope that you all enjoyed this fanfic, and once I've helped Kfbanime87, I'll be updating Jinchuriki Tamer next.
