Chapter Nine: Welcome To The White Fang.
"Think lightly of yourself, and deeply of the world."

[One Day Later, 3:45am.]
"Rewind it."
A screen played a video from a point of view of a dagger wielding psychopath. Sienna Khan was standing there, watching the footage. It was an innocent lie at first, but the more they watched, her eyes narrowed. She held her hand up, indicating an order to pause. The analyst did so, quickly, and freeze it on the frame on the assassin mid-swing with his sole remaining dagger.
Sitting in her chair, a comfy black leather with back netting. She tapped her wrist, her nervous tick. "Rewind it." She ordered once again, and watched as the footage reversed from the beginning of the clash. She saw it, the moment the azure eyes ignited red, and his actions became much more focused and violent.
The very moment nothing short of demon described those eyes.
""Son, huh, is that what you think I am? Good then, then I'll beat you to a pulp, ya know! For ever trying to hurt those I care for, you bastard!"
The clone came from behind the assassin, and in the footage she saw that it too had the red eyes. Tapping her chin, she grazes her sharpened nail over the soft tan flesh. Something about those eyes, something inside of his soul, and it wasn't heroic. No, this was a dog wanting out of it's cage, a demon bound and forced to hold back.
Those reports from Vista that Victoria had secured were correct. This child, or whatever he truly was, was a wolf amongst them. It was both a blessing, and curse, because those eyes represented rage barely contained. Focused rage, not wild rage, but even then the iron bars holding it back were cracking and fallen wayward past glory days of a dark sheen of gray.
Victoria, the wolf faunus, stood behind Sienna. Her ever present agent that did the sludge work. Playing nice, making friends, and often pleasantries with targets of interest. A honeypot, an opportunist, and if the situation would call for it…assassin. Victoria crossed her arms, the latest blood reports indicating a subtle shift back to normal human blood. She doubted, if the little bit of blood they collected from the fight would read as such.
"Rewind five seconds."
"You bastard!"
There, in the brief moment right before he back into the fight, a brief glimpse of something else. Red energy, and it was thick right as the clawed hand gripping the kunai came up. She frowned at that, for a boy who claimed to not know what aura was, that looked conveniently similar. She watched how he moved, keenly focusing on his hand movement. Seeing him shift his body, making it flatter, harder to hit.
"Lady Sienna." Victoria watched as the assassin's vital reports spiked when both briefly locked eyes. "Whatever the boy did there, it made the assassin start considering retreat due to spike blood pressure and heartrate."
"If I had to look in those eyes, I might even sweat." Sienna admitted casually whilst leaning forward on her hands. "I saw the footage earlier where the assassin rammed a saber into his gut, and he walked it off basically."
"No human could, unless they had a semblance with extreme regeneration." Her spy pointed out.
"No human, and this boy certainly isn't a faunus since it seemed he had trouble keeping up with the assassin when he ran into the darkness. Hmm," she hums lightly before watching the video play out more from where the assassin suddenly retreats with the grabble gun. "Watch this part."
Victoria watches as Naruto ran forward, throwing a shuriken with wire attached right onto the assassin's arm. She then watched as he yanked, speeding toward him in a high arc. His hand holding the blue sphere, the rasengan, up toward the moon. She watched as it changed into a violet color, mirroring the visages of the moon. Whether it had been on purpose, or not, that was a very interesting twist.
"I'm not letting you get away, rasengan!"
"Critical damage, critical damage, critical damage! Aura levels falling, aura levels falling, 87%, 45%, 1%"
The assassin's vitals were displayed, watching as the rasengan started damaging his internal organs from the blast. His gut was gone, his wounds already mortal even before he had slammed into the ground. Naruto landed right on top of him soon after was just icing on the cake. The assassin's heartrate spiked once again, showing fear. Despite the attempt of his body to disperse a cocktail of agents meant to calm him down.
"Who sent you, who?!"
Sienna watched as the left eye came out, falling into a market stand near a house. It smashed itself into a apple from the force. She saw Naruto draw back to give another punch. That's when from the distance on the screen, the assassin activated his thermal charges, and threatened that whole couple of houses near them.
"End of feed is right there, as soon as the assassin dies. If we rewind it any further, it requires a passcode. However, we've got an idea of how he got here." Sienna turned toward the captain from the weapon's transport ship, he was kneeling in the lobby. A plastic tarp under him. "So, I knew that little deal we had was a little too easy."
"Heh, faunus bitch." The captain spat whilst he looked up at her. "I knew that this might happen, that idiot was their newest recruit, always having outdated equipment."
"Keep talking big guy." Sienna clawed his chin with her sharpen nail. "So, let me guess, The Humanity First whatever the fuck?"
He spat in her face, making the second of The White Fang grimace.
"Captain Khayin, was your little acquisition of those old age rifles just a cover for you to get intel on where exactly the easier route would be for infiltration?" Sienna nicely asked him whilst wiping the spit of her cheek. She turned around only to come back forward with an open palm slap that dug her sharp nails into the side of his head. "That was for the spit, you lowly human!"
She grabbed his head, and then pressed into the tarp, pressing down with her foot and holding it there. "Grovel, human, for I am your goddess right now, and my word is life or death." Sienna stated whilst grinding her heel into his head, making him scream out in pain. "You nearly killed an asset I've been trying to secure for a good part of a year now, Blake Belladonna's support in the future will make our country rise to greater heights…and then there are worms like your little Humanity First group…fucking pissants."
"S-so, that's your game, with that little cat bitch? When she comes of age, marry her off with that little bull of yours…heh…" Khayin laughed through bloodied teeth. "Y-you're not a hard book to ready, Khan."
"Who the fuck said I was?" She gloated before pressing down, and glaring at him. "Easy, or not, I'm not the one with my face full of plastic tarp."
"My men- "
"Are already dead, and disposed of. That guard we planted at the docks was a good agent of ours. Worth that entire ship of yours, strangely enough, no country is addressed in it." Victoria interrupted him whilst watching as her mistress stop her torture and move away. She bent down, kneeling by Khayin. "Your mistake was having the balls to come back upon our shores."
"W-what can I say…I likes me some Zoo fever time from time." Khayin laughed insultingly before watching as Victoria pulled a needle from her hair. "W-what's that, gonna knit me a scar-ah!"
She shoved the needle into his right ear, destroying the eardrum. He cried out in agony, rolling around the ground as his ear gushed with blood. Victoria spun the needle around when she removed it, and looked down at him. "Good thing about being placed with an expert human doctor, who's not so bad on the eyes. He's got a knack for teaching anatomy…especially in the afterhours." She teased the crying man.
Khayin swore up a storm as he rolled around on the ground. He glared up at her, and then at Sienna Khan before laughing. That laughter turned into a mad cackle before he sat up on his knees. "You stupid faunus are all the same. Wound a little bit of that ego, and suddenly you isolate yourselves from everyone and everything." He mocked them all whilst looking at the video, pointing toward the blonde shinobi in it.
"Don't know what kind of drugs you're giving your kids. Still, if you're all going to start doing some experiments like that…" He didn't finish when Victoria grabbed him by the throat. "Gah!"
"As much as I am assigned to study him, in case. I'll be the first to admit, for someone who's not even faunus, he's treated us all with nothing short of loyalty. Regardless of asset status, faunuskind live and die by honor." She hissed at him, lowering herself to be eyelevel with the disgraced captain. "Even before he takes the oath tomorrow morning, he's one of us…and much better than whatever fucking horror story you've made with this cyborg."
"Heh, you think so. I can't wait for the others to come in, the good doctor loves to play with tech. I'll give you this much, Six, was an older model. You see, Six, didn't have any humanity left in him…" Khayin before suddenly finding his eyes widening. "W-what the hell, why did I…"
Victoria's smirks whilst looking at him in the eyes, her own shifting slightly into a triangle pattern. "My semblance, sooth, let's me lower the targeted person's inhibitions." She giggled under her breath whilst keeping eye contact with him. "Makes me the world's most dangerous spy in conditions like these, because I can make your brain think of anything but pain…but the moment I let go…"
Khayin screamed in agony, and held his hands up to his head, slamming it into the tarp over and over. He thrashed about, only to stop when Victoria grabbed his chin for him to focus back on her eyes. "All that little bit of pain, it comes back tenfold." She continued before gazing into his very soul. "Poor human, why can't you all be like Vista? At least be useful for something, good at something, and not born with that innate feeling of superiority."
"Enough of this, obviously the good Captain doesn't even know where they located at." Sienna said whilst grabbing her chain-dagger. "Unless you tell me something right now, you're looking at a very slow ending."
"I…" Khayin growled under his breath, unable to break Victoria's gaze. "I picked him up in Argus.'
"Wonderful, so, that leads us to Menagerie's age old enemies." Sienna mocking celebrated before wrapping the chain around the man's neck. "Do you take us for fools, Atlas may still use cybernetic technology, but they're not stupid enough to make a move like this! Mistral either, unless Vale is suddenly turning on us!"
"N-no, I swear, it's Argus…I don't know…where…" He chokes out whilst grasping at the chain around his throat. "Please…I…"
"Can't breathe?" Sienna laughed under her breath before pulling tighter. "Because of you, lifesaving medicine cannot get into Menagerie from the kingdoms, because of you there'll be residual deaths from this…that'll be played off as a supply issue to quell bigger fears. You filthy, ungifted, worms are always the same in the end…lording over us all."
The chains were squeezed tighter, and tighter. "You make us want the things you offer, and then you throw them in our face. Mocking us for who we are, well, when I ascend the throne of The White Fang…just know that you, Khayin, will be the reason why we thoroughly check every single cargo ship. You'll be the reason why some humans may get hurt, because you couldn't respect us enough to leave us alone!" She made the chains dig deeper, and deeper with rage in her amber eyes.
"Rot in the underworld."
CRACK!
Khayin limply dangled as Sienna kept hold. She pressed her foot on his back, making sure that the neck of her enemy was fully broken. Finally, letting up, she lets him slump to the floor. She wiped her nose, and then walked away as two larger faunus with armor on from head to toe came behind her. Wrapping Khayin's body into the tarp, and then tossing it into a cart. Victoria stood with her hands behind her back.
"The things we do to keep Chief Ghira, and everyone here safe." Victoria commented as Sienna went back to her chair, slumped into it. "What shall we do with Naruto Uzumaki?"
"Right now, as Khayin lovingly stated, that assassin, Six, was their weakest one. Perhaps it's best to keep him in the fold for now. Politically he's a golden ticket. If he becomes a hero in any capacity, my name is tied to him since I recruited him amongst our ranks. The White Fang numbers will swell, and we'll finally be a proper army." She stated whilst looking at a map of Menagerie. "Then we can look toward taking more of this damned continent for us all, and then when we no longer need The Kingdoms…we become fully independent."
Adam walks into the room, looking at the cart. "I assume the talk with Khayin went south." He suggested whilst crossing his arms.
"More, or less." Sienna replied before looking at him. "Blake Belladonna?"
"She's having nightmares because of what these bastards did. Then we have the hero." Adam gritted his teeth before looking at the screen. "So, what do we make of these red eyes he possess?"
"Don't know, honestly, everything about him is supernatural. His speed, strength, reflexes, and those techniques he uses. I had a scanner secretly take readings of it whilst we monitored him training one day. It's definitely a very close relative to aura. In fact, if you look at this." Sienna brought up the screen, showing a normal person's aura vs. Naruto's chakra. "Do you see it?"
"That chakra energy he claims to use is seemingly more refined, focused. It looks like some other type of energy mixed in with it." Adam recognized whilst looking toward her. "Are we sure he has the same type of organs as us?"
"Vista's observations only confirm that he has the same organs as a human. He briefly noted some type of energy trail when Naruto was asked to flex his chakra, whatever that is still. Still, there is no physical organ that makes that energy transfer. He has theory on possible metaphysical organs, but that's really stretching it." Victoria grimaced slightly at his further notes. "Vista notes that, for the sake of Naruto's future if the time ever comes, that his DNA is viable."
"What does he mean by viable?" Sienna inquired.
"It means that Naruto, genetically, is more than capable of having children in the future…with humans, or faunus." Her spy answered for her, and then laughed nervously little. "I may have, or may not have inspired a train of thought with Vista. He often said that his good friend, Oobleck, got him going."
"Why would he even worry about that?" Adam questioned, he looked bewildered, his blue eyes narrowed in disgust. "Even for a doctor, and a human one at that, that's a weird thing."
"Well, that's because Naruto asked." Victoria stated whilst flipping through her notes. "Believe it or not, underneath that cheerful little façade he puts out, he's actually thinking long term."
"I doubt that." Adam insulted him before turning his head toward Sienna. "This is the same idiot who doesn't even like guns because they're 'too loud' if I may quote him."
"Look, from his world, it seemed that he mentions never having a family of his own. It's why he's attached himself to The Belladonna Family. I'm not saying it's ideal, but Naruto has found something to call home here. I say it's better to have him tamed, and allied, than risk losing him. So, when he gets older, and the time becomes ripe, we plant a potential match for him." The wolf faunus states whilst closing her file, and then looking at Sienna. "I think, honestly, that if he should make a name for himself as a hero…then an equally politically piece should be moved with him in conjunction."
Adam scrunches his fists up, and then glared at Victoria. "What are you suggesting?"
"I'm suggesting that someone with similar political clout should be matched with him. I doubt your little girlfriend would be there, besides, I think he'll eclipse anyone." Victoria stated smugly before seeing someone come and run up to her. She whistled, and looked at the report. "Hot damn, I love it when I'm right."
"What?" Sienna looked at the report resting neatly in Victoria's hands.
"I knew that chakra stuff effected his DNA, and I even told Vista about it. I took blood from the rooftop from the time he got slashed whilst in the red eye state. It's not a one-to-one match. However, if you notice that unknown DNA profile actually become more equalized with his normal human DNA." Adam, and Sienna both gaze at it. "Still that one percent faunus in there, somehow, perhaps it's just pure luck that this two create a similar profile."
"Luck," Adam growls out before walking into a seat. "He's set to join up tomorrow, and will go through a two week course. What is there, if anything, can we teach him to make an effective solider?"
"Simple, he's going to be with The Black Cats, who are scheduled to go and monitor that horde in two weeks' time. Not flight lessons, but lessons in the aircrafts weapons systems, and engines. I noticed in the report made by Victoria that he's able to learn things fast by using those clones. Have them study the various manuals whilst he does the physical things." Sienna surmised whilst crossing her arms, and propping her feet up on her desk. "I have no doubt, that he'll be the best soldier we'd ever produce…but to be frank, he's more weapon than person to me."
"A weapon can break." Adam commented on that train of thought.
Sienna smirks, looking toward him. "If that weapon should break, then we'll deal with it accordingly." She says whilst leaning back in her chair. "For now, let us all have a day of peace before the coming storm."
Adam curtly sneered before walking away. "A day of peace, huh?"
{Belladonna Estate.}
[Twelve Hours Later. 4:00pm.]
Naruto's mind was working overtime as his clones moved about the house. Checking it up, and down, whilst The Belladonnas were out with the guards. He was searching anything planted, and made sure to leave no nook or cranny unsearched. His fist tightened as his clones burst, letting them know the coast was clear as guards came back into the house to readjust everything.
"How did he know all the guards were on this side of the house?" Naruto thought to himself whilst walking toward the kitchen, and toward the garden entrance. The guards were here when everything kicked off that night just less than thirty six hours ago. "They were gathering for lunch, and where were the normal city guards that usually guarded the outside?'
He took a deep, growling, breath as he walked back toward the lobby. Sitting in the middle of the floor, and thinking with his arms crossed as his clones continued to burst and give feedback. Nothing was adding up, even if prior knowledge of who the Belladonnas were was wide spread. Knowing exactly when the guards would be at their lunch breaks was something only someone on the inside would know about.
"Naruto," the blonde's eyes widened as he whipped his head to look at Midori and Castor. "You okay there buddy, all your clones are kind of bursting."
"It's because they completed their tasks. I'm doing what I was taught back in my academy, leave no stone unturned, look underneath the underneath." Naruto explained whilst getting up, keeping his arms crossed. "It just doesn't make sense, why would they go after Blake in particular. I get it, the whole send a message thing is something my world does. It's frankly disgusting, cruel, and evil."
"So, you've dealt with this before?" Midori questioned, noting the shift from energetic young boy to seasoned warrior.
Naruto nods his head, and looks away. "Back in The Wave Country, there was this man that took a friend of mine in from there. Adopted him, was gonna marry his mom. Gato, a bastard of a man thought he was going to start causing trouble…so he had him tied to a post." The blonde grimaced at the next part, hesitating to say it.
"Tied to a post doesn't sound too bad." Castor laughed nervously.
"They used katanas to cut off both of his arms because of ability to swim." Naruto deadpanned, and then further gripped his fists. "Then they let him bleed out, that's the story Inari had told me."
"Gods above, what in the actual underworld." Midori gasped whilst looking at him, and shaking slightly. "That's cruel even by our standards."
"Yeah, just think of it like this, if you think your world sucks…we don't have hardly any of this super advanced tech you guys got." The shinobi then shuddered slightly. "Those who do, well, they're not right in the head. Specifically, there's this one bastard named Orochimaru. Who apparently steals bodies."
"You mean from graveyards, right?" Castor asked nervously, fidgeting at the deadpanning look Naruto was giving. "Right?"
"Castor, this world Naruto had described so far to us has been a warlords playhouse. What do you think?" Midori said with a sigh as she looked over to him.
"What the hell," the blonde twin of Pollux grimaces. "Who the hell just does that?"
"Someone, apparently, wanting immortality." Naruto answered as he growled. "Someone who convinced my friend, Sasuke, that he could give him power in exchange for his body."
"That's sounds about fifty shades of messed up." Castor commented as he looked at the blonde below him. "Speaking of messed up, I'm hearing rumors that you got stabbed in the gut by a saber."
"I did."
"How the hell are you already healed, when you fell from the sky, it took literal weeks for to recover!" Castor frustratingly pointed out as he looked into Naruto's equally blue eyes. "I mean, seriously, what the heck you do, fly?"
"I mean, yeah, but give me time. I'm sure I'll figure that out, ya know." The shinobi lightly joked before getting back to being serious. "Listen, guys, I'm fine. I know Blake isn't, I know Kali isn't, and especially Ghira because this was his home, and that creep nearly killed his daughter under his roof. So, as much as I appreciate Doctor Vista sending you guys over to check me out. I'm trying to figure something out."
"Sheesh," Midori grimaced whilst looking at him. "What are you trying to figure out?"
"How this bastard figured that exact moment was the best time to try to kill someone in this house." Naruto growled whilst looking toward the lobby's front door.
"Well, is it possible that he hacked?" Castor offered up.
Naruto's eyes widened slightly before looking at him. "What the hell is hack?"
"Hacking, which is pretty much taking either control or a looksee through another's electronics. I mean, The Belladonnas are wealthy-ish. Blake has a scroll for Gods sake. Wait, now that I mention that, wasn't there supposedly a breach in our knock of a CCT tower in City Hall?" Castor questioned himself whilst looking at Midori.
Midori nods her head, her shining emerald eyes lighting up a little. "Yes, that makes sense! Because if this guy, whoever the hell he was, was a cyborg then it's possible that his brain could connect with devices. It may also explain how those stolen Atlassian androids were able to coordinate so well, damn it all, why didn't anyone think of that!" She bumped her fist into her open left palm. "Chief Ghira, and Lady Sienna need to know about this theory asap!"
"Well go, get on it foxy, I'm gonna stay here." Castor stated whilst Midori ran off toward the lobby doors. His eyes lingering a little too long, finally noticing Naruto standing off to the side with his arms crossed. "What?"
"Pervert." Naruto chided him playfully before smiling a little. "I pretty much lost track when she said something about his brain connecting with stuff. Man, I'm just stressed out, because me and Blake really are starting to become great friends. I love her dad, and mom, so I may have went overboard in my fight just a little bit."
"In my opinion you should've ripped his damn head off." Castor growled whilst closing his hands into a fist. "The Belladonnas only ever strive for peace, and with that left eye still missing, we may never know who sent these guys. There's a few possibilities though, mostly human extremist groups. Sons Of The General, Atlassian Defectors, Humanity First Initiative League…all those other wannabe racists groups."
"Maybe I need to take a quick boat trip…" Naruto growls as he felt anger pour into him.
"And slaughter them all?"
He gripped the side of his head as Castor looked at him, "you good?" He asked the younger blonde who straightened back up. "You look like you had a bee sting you on the side of the head."
"Yeah, I'm fine, I'm just getting worked up about these guys. I hate people who can't see past themselves. It makes everything in the world darker, because someone is miserable, what gives them to right to make other's miserable? I swear, if I run into any of them on Menagerie, I'm going to hurt them, ya know." Naruto took a deep breath before calming down. "I'm going to protect those who I care for."
"You mentioned a while back that you were ostracized in your world because of those whiskers. Can you explain to me why, I mean, you've been nothing but a model citizen at worst." Castor requested as they both walked over to a bench in the lobby. Taking a seat, watching as Naruto got slightly uncomfortable whilst thinking. "C'mon on man, it's me you're talking to."
"When I was a kid growing up, I learned that my hero Minato Namikaze died in battle. He died not fighting a human, but a monster, a fox with Nine Tails. It's not like the Grimm, because he's…it's…" Naruto took a deep shuddering breath before looking of into the distance. "It was a huge monster, who nearly destroyed our village."
"So, what's that got to do with your whiskers?" Castor asked.
"I…was born the night it attacked." Naruto told him before rubbing his right arm nervously. "I was born right as it attacked, and people saw me as a bad omen because I supposedly came out of my mother with these on my face."
"So, wait a minute, back up. You were hated because you just had the piss poor timing of coming out right as a giant monster attacks?" The older blonde grimaced whilst thinking before sighing. "People across worlds don't change I guess, always gotta have something to hate."
"You don't know the half of it…" Naruto thought to himself before sighing and nodding. "Yeah, that's why when I have people that care about me, I latch onto them. Because, growing up, I never had the acknowledgement of being one of the village. Heck, foreign kids were played with by others more so than me. Like, for example, I was born here…and Blake was told to go play with a kid from Vacuo."
"That's rough buddy." Castor patted Naruto's back before sighing as he looked at the house. "Why do you even try to smile, given everything you've said to us, you should be a emotionless wreck."
"As I said before, just because my life is miserable, what right do I have to make others miserable?" The shinobi smiled softly whilst looking down, and then raising head to give Castor a bright foxlike smile. "So, yeah, that's why all my haters go screw themselves!"
"Heh, you surely are just a bright ball of sunshine aren't ya?" The twin of Pollux just sighed whilst watching as some guards came into the house. "You know, you told them that assassin was your first kill, it's human to feel some sympathy for him."
"I guess that's right, who knows what someone has to go through to just change most of their body." Naruto agreed slightly before gripping his hands. "I still can't forgive him, won't ever forgive him, ya know."
Ghira came walking into the lobby, a frustrated look on his face. "Castor, why was Midori running like an angry rooster chasing after a fox?" The large man asked the medic, who just smiled.
"Well, we were discussing on how that assassin might've known the layout of the house. Naruto here, believe it or not, searched it top to bottom for bugs and found none." Castor then pursed his lips. "Because, what if there wasn't a bug, but a malware planted in your electronics that allowed remote access to cameras."
"The only one of us that had those types of electronics was…" Ghira eyes narrowed as he growled. "Son of a bitch!"
"Blake's scroll." Castor confirmed whilst Ghira pulled out his own older model. "Then there's the possibility from her scroll, other scrolls that the guards used might've been breached."
"Still," the large faunus man huffed as he retracted his claws. "I have no idea how were going to track when the hack first happened, no doubt he covered his tracks. Sienna has still came up empty about that eye…perhaps it got destroyed from your punch, Naruto."
The blonde grimaces slightly, sighing. "If it got destroyed by my punch, I'm sorry. I just felt like ripping the guy apart, I mean, what he was going to do…" Naruto gripped his hands before looking at Ghira. "I swear on my life, that no one will ever hurt you guys so long as I'm around, ya know!"
"Promises, promises…"
That errand thought filled his head before he shook it. Ghira noted the motion of Naruto's hand going up to his head. "Are you okay, Naruto?" He asked whilst watching the blonde take a deep breath.
"Yeah, I'm fine, hopefully with The White Fang Sienna will assign me to take these guys down." Naruto replied whilst creating a loud slap from his right fist impacting his open left palm. "I'm not letting them make the first move next time, besides, I have a funny feeling they're not done yet."
"Me, and you both." Ghira agreed whilst walking over to the bench, and taking a seat. "Kali, and Blake are going to be staying at a safe house until we do a city wide sweep."
"Right, so, I guess I don't get to say goodbye before going into The White Fang.' Naruto growled before gripping his hands tighter. "Be honest with me, Ghira, what would you have me do if they came back around?"
"I would want you to treat them with the same courtesy they've given us." The large man told him before placing a hand on his shoulder. "I don't want you to go actively hunting them, they're very dangerous, Naruto."
"So am I…" Naruto mumbled under his breath.
"You're still a child in my eyes, even if you're able to do what did to him. I rather have you around to see you grow into a young man, than to see you fall before you've ever became a man." The chieftain stated whilst patting Naruto's shoulder. "You're close to me, you know?"
That made Naruto bite his lip, and then he smiled softly whilst looking up at Ghira. "It's that very reason why I'll break my body before I ever let anyone get near you guys. Did me, and Blake start off rocky? Yeah, sure, but she's kind when she lets people in. Then there's Lady Kali, and you, you've both done nothing but show me kindness after kindness. So, Ghira, if I say to you that I'm going to find them all and keep them from hurting you…I'll move heaven and earth to do so." The shinobi replied whilst smiling proudly. "I never go back on my word, that's my shinobi way."
Ghira smiles whilst nodding his head. "A man's word is his honor, and his honor is the most important possession of a man." He tells Naruto whilst looking directly in the eye. "I promise you, when your service is up with The White Fang, you'll have a place amongst my family's guard to travel the world with us."
"Heh, I heard that Vacuo is beautiful along the coastline." Naruto commented on that whilst crossing his arms with a slight blush. "So, I'll gladly accept when I'm done."
"I'll hold you to it," Ghira held his pinky finger up. "It may seem childish, but I've always sealed my most sacred deals like this with people I'm close with, so pinky promise?"
Naruto wrapped his pinky around Ghira's, and smiled softly.
"Pinky promise."
{The Eastern Wall Of Kuo Kuana.}
[The Next Day, 8:00am.]
Amongst the bottom of the hundred foot wall of Menagerie's capital of Kuo Kuana, a bustling crowd gathered. Faunus of various types, all with their best clothing on, walked in column toward a wooden stand. Sienna Khan herself stood upon, prepare to swear in these people into the ranks of The White Fang. A sacred ceremony, since the time fifty years ago when The White Fang was founded during the Mistralian-Atlassian Menagerian Revolutionary War.
Amongst the crowd, marked by different sashes. Greens were to the very left, because they were green, untested in combat. Yellows were in the center of the column. Those who were current guardsmen, or former, willing to take the oath of active service. Amongst them, she noted that there was even a couple of Faunus that had came fresh out of an academy in the kingdoms. Ungraduated, called to service their kind amongst their ranks. Out of the entire group, they were the most prominent of the sashes. Covering nearly the entire column. People who have been tested, but not veterans of active combat.
In a small little niche, off to the very end of the column's left side was the three red sash carries. People who had been active veterans of fighting, trained and deadly. Among them, Naruto Uzumaki, wearing his orange achkan and black trousers with pouches. He was the one totally out of place, a twelve year old that most people were already murmuring about.
Birds flew over the group, watching the proceedings as their ancestors have done before. Hawks of different feathers gathered together, and came to Sienna who wore a black sash. A black sash for them was the meaning of someone who had leadership. On her hip was a mask in the guise of a Chimera Grimm. It had a red dot on the forehead, symbolizing rank.
"To your knees, kneel!" The order was given by a very large faunus man, who had bear fur going down his back. "Hear these words from Commander Khan, listen to them! For you will be asked to take the oath afterward! Those who hear these words have a choice at the end, if you want to go back to being a civilian nobody…then you simply walk away! There is no shame in admitting you're not cut out for this, but if you stay, you'll be held the highest standard!"
"To serve amongst your brothers, and sisters, is to be a piece of a machine greater than one's self!" The large Bear Faunus finished before taking a knee as Sienna stepped up. He watched as they all took the knee, even the Uzumaki boy he had heard about. A gruff escaped his lips, and his black sash fluttered in the gust of wind that came.
Sienna waited for the people to stop talking. She folded her arms behind her back. Waiting, and waiting as the chatter slowly died down. The green sashes were already looking nervous, whilst the yellows were uncomfortable at best. The reds, however, were coiled like snakes. That was excellent, it meant she had chosen wisely.
Choosing wisely meant that it reflected well on her when they succeeded. She took a deep breath, and now she started.
"Our forebearers had a dream once. That one day, all faunuskind would stand equal to humanity. Our blood has stained every single corner of this world. From the glaciers of Solidas, the dunes upon the west side of Sanus, and the mountains inside of Anima. In the great forests of East Sanus. Our bones, our souls, and our people have touched this world upon all corners. To where the sun touches, so have faunuskind have touched." She started her speech with a brief history of their people, she paced the wooden stage. A microphone attached to her black vest. Her words carried heavy. "Our people were subjugated, tarnished, used, and beaten up until eighty years ago!"
"War, a war to end all human conflict, The Great War. It was our finest hour those humans said, that we've earned our freedoms! Nay, though, Atlas and Mistral thought so too! Yet, they tried to force all born faunus on Solidas and Anima out! They tried to drive us out of our homes, to drive us out of places we built for them! Our blood, sweat, and tears meant nothing to them! Thusly, we took exception, and upon command we arose anew!" She pointed to the banner of The White Fang.
"This banner, though not the original one, is the banner we marched under! From the shores of Anima, and the glaciers of Solidas! All faunuskind marched as one fifty years ago, to undo injustices brought about by totalitarian councils trying to invoke the old code! When they ask you, brothers and sisters, why we stand as each is our finest hour you say these words with heart! I stand here, at my finest hour, like the one hundred at Fort Castle! I stand under the moonlight, under the sunlight, unbroken and unchained! For I am free!" She screamed out to them all, and paced back to where she had stood before.
The White Fang soldiers in attendance beat their chest. "We are free!"
"Our forebearers, brothers and sister alike, spilled themselves upon the battlefields! Not just against humanity during the revolutionary war, but against the creatures of darkness! Grimm, Demons of The Night, monsters! A threat that even unites us with humanity at times! A common enemy, is a common goal, and common reasoning to stand forth together! Yet, I wouldn't be here if humanity saw us an equal race! No, we are not equals! Not to them, because they are bound by fear! They look at us as mutants, freaks, abominations in secret still! Yet, I am standing here because I am free!" She screamed out again, stumping her foot onto the stage with a loud thump.
"Yet, I am free!" The soldiers screamed in unison behind her.
"You sit upon your knees, not to show bondage to us, or me! You are asked to kneel at the start because it's are mission to show you freedom! To lift you up, to unify ourselves, and stand as one! A solider will come to you soon, and you will greet as such! Thank you, brother, or sister, for your lifting hands lift these chains off me! Say it when they come to lift you off the ground! For these men, and women, have bled for you!" She ordered the kneeling recruits, who began to receive soldiers to lift them up.
Sienna waited until this one done, and she smiled proudly as she watched Adam do so. Waiting until she saw the large bear faunus make it over toward Naruto. The blonde looked him in the eye as he stood up. She could see him fidget slightly under his guise, still a child at heart, but she knew that if the boy were inclined it wouldn't be a fair fight.
As soon as the recruits were all standing, she looked at them all.
"If you are feeling averse to this oath of loyalty…walk away now." Sienna said softly whilst she looked at them all. "For when you take this off, you will be asked to cut your palm with the dagger given to you as you walked here. You will swear a blood oath to your Siblings In Arms."
She was about to start when Naruto all of sudden grabbed his dagger and slashed his palm wide open. Blood dropped onto the ground as he clenched his fist pointed out at her. There was not even a moment of hesitation in his eyes. Which stunned her, and made even black sash wearing leaders of troops look at him. Even some red sashes hesitated for brief moments, or at the very least waited until she finished her small speech beforehand.
The large bear faunus growls a little bit. Looking upon the small boy. "What is your name!" He demanded whilst crossing his arms.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto answered proudly before still holding his hands out.
"Why did you slash your palm so open?! Are you saying that you've spilled this blood in oath or are you just grandstanding!" He continued to demand. Noting the confused look on his face. "What did I say that is confusing you, recruit?!"
"I don't know what grandstanding means, sir!" The blonde became rigid as he stood there at attention with his fist out. "I cut my palm first because I never hesitate, I always keep my vow, and I am adhered to my word of never breaking a promise!"
"Out-fucking-standing!" The bear roared whilst slapping the boy's shoulder hard. "Look here, all of you, this child has already cut his palm! He states that he doesn't go back on his word, never! If you all can show the set of balls this young man has right now, I'll be right tickled with you!"
Inspired by his sudden action, all of the red sashes cut their palms in a similar manner. Their crimson ichor staining the ground. Several green sashes backed out, and a couple of yellow sashes as well. Not cowards, but it was somewhat disappointing. Sienna still watched as all the remaining ones slashed their left palm, leaving small scars. A sign of their belonging to the fang!
"Swear your oaths!" Sienna ordered them, and heard the murmuring of the crowd as they began their oaths. She watched as Naruto spoke with them as one. Noting the hard focus, he had on his face at the wall.
"Congratulations, welcome to The White Fang!" Sienna yelled out as she looked at them when their murmuring stopped. "All green sashes will be assigned to Section C! You'll go through a two month training regime! You'll be under Sargent Tukson! Do let his bookworm ways fool you, he will kick your asses into gear! Move-Move-Move!"
Tukson, Naruto recognized the man, and smiled as Matilda's uncle gathered his men up. Naruto smile left his face when Adam Taurus stood with two other commanders. Though a not a commander himself, it seemed that Sienna did show some favoritism to him. She called out to the yellow sashes next.
"Lieutenant Sol, and Lieutenant Marble will take you yellow sashes! You will be put into a month education program for White Fang Tactics. You'll be assigned specialization roles upon testing. You'll get a one week basic redux on firearms." She raised her arm up and then motioned for them to move. "Go, get to it, you'll be in Section B!"
The yellow sashes all moved with the Lieutenants and Adam. Naruto saw that him, and two other red sashes remained. The field suddenly becoming empty as his skin steamed. A sizzling noise filled the air as the others turned to him. His cut healing into a very small scar on his palm. It made him rub the back of his head sheepishly.
"Sorry, if it looked like I was showing off, ya know. I heal super-fast, and it's very difficult to leave a scar on me!" He bubbly states whilst feeling the presence of the large bear faunus over him. He slowly turned around, and gave him a two finger salute. "Yo."
The bear faunus watched as Sienna came walking to them. He stood there, his black sash fluttering on the wind. "Lady Sienna, these three are the ones you specifically recruited for The Black Cats?" The bear asked whilst looking at his leader.
"Yes, Specialist Bjorn, these three are my specific requests." She said whilst looking at them before looking at them. "You three are all equally valuable to me."
"Valuable, heh, guess I really did make a good impression." The tall man with a red ponytail stated. His red eyes were rimmed with orange in the iris. On his hip was a blade of some sort, but it curled like a whip. "Lady Sienna."
"Rojas Fuego," She greets him with a curt nod. "Hunter from Atlas."
Rojas chuckles before looking down past his orange cloak, and down at Naruto. "Who's the pipsqueak?"
"I'm Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto greeted Rojas with his fist extended out. "Shinobi from uh…well…I guess since everyone pretty much knows around me, another world."
Rojas's eyes looks back toward Sienna, she only nods. "Don't be too surprised. This kid already has a hero status somewhat in Kuo Kuana." She then saw the young teen girl look at him, and then to Sienna before her eyes widened in realization.
Her tan, freckled skin lightning up somehow with her white hair Which weirded Naruto out. "I recognize you, you're that kid from the MVN video. The one who pretty much soloed a Razor Fin whilst walking on water. Hot damn, it's nice to meet you." She held her hand out with smile. "I'm Luna, Luna Crest."
"Nice to meet you, Luna." Naruto greeted her with a smile and bumped her back palm with his fist. "Sorry, I'm more of a fist bump kind of guy."
"Holy shit, he's really from another world…" Rojas cursed whilst pursing his lips as he looked at the video Bjorn was showing him. "Hot damn indeed, tell me kid, how old are you?"
"Twelve, going to be thirteen in three months, ya know!" Naruto stated with a proud smirk. "So, you're Rogas…Romas…"
"Rojas."
"Yeah, that's what I said, Rogas!" Naruto butchered his name again before holding his fist out again toward him. "Naruto Uzumaki, once again, shinobi from another world in a village called Konoha."
"Hmm, what is that? Shinobi I mean." Rojas inquired.
"Their version of a Hunter." Sienna answered for Naruto whilst he was getting ready to go into a spell of explanation. "Anyway, enough chit-chat! You will be in Section A, and your handler is Specialist Bjorn here. He's also the commanding officer of The Black Cats Squadron."
All three of turned to Bjorn, who smiled. "So, let's see what I have here. I have rabbit, a cardinal, and a fucking fox to my regiment." The bear laughed as he looked at them. "I can't wait to see you all on the mats. Follow me, I'll tell you all the two week specialization training programs I've tailored for you all since reading over your profile."
{Kuo Kuana Eastern Wall, Section A Barracks.}
[Thirty Minutes Later.]
Rojas, Luna, and Naruto entered behind Bjorn. He shut the door behind them, whilst looking at the Eight other members of The Black Cats. Minus the four who were sitting at some sort station with goggles on their eyes, piloting a wheel suspended up in the air. Specialist Bjorn looked at them, noting their fatigues were freshly laid out for them on the bed.
Everyone was wearing a white shirt, with black trousers, and black combat boots. He looked at the three new arrivals, and smiled proudly. "This is my kingdom, these are my warriors elite. My shield, sword, and spear." Specialist Bjorn states whilst looking at them. "Atlas has The Ace Ops, well these are the cream of the crop."
Luna looks at one of them, a man lifting heavy weights despite having a thin frame. "I know him, that's Grisha Volkov, The White Wolf." She said with awe in her voice. "Known famously for his straight arming sword, Tempest."
"Oh. Great. A. Fangirl." The wolf faunus muttered after each rep on his bench press. The wolf finishing his set, leaning up, giving them a smile with ferocious canines poking from over his lips. "Cute little bunny tail there, what makes you so special, new blood?"
"Um, well, I…" Luna nervously rubs her right arm, and then smiles shyly. "I'm a great sniper."
"Been awhile since we've had a sniper." Grisha commented to Bjorn, whom nodded at the comment. "What happened to the last one?"
"Killed in that botched, fucked, mission in Barren Wastes. Lost Black Cat Five as a result." Bjorn then sighed when he heard a frustrated growling, and watched a squirrel faunus with a golden curly tail chitter slightly. His chestnut colored eyes, and quick movements made even Naruto take a doubletake. "Oh, hey Aurum."
"I specifically modified that bird to get out quickly!" Aurum, the squirrel faunus, declared whilst getting out his toolset. "But, hey, screw the engineer! Not like he keeps you alive, Sienna!"
"Why's he so mad?" Naruto whispered behind his hand toward Bjorn.
"Because," Bjorn answers him silently. "Aurum quite literally has a knack for mechanical work. He treats all of The Black Cat Bullheads as his babies."
"Hey, isn't that redhead a human?!" A woman called out, polishing her assault rifle. "The hell man, why we letting norms into the ranks?"
"Quick to assume that I'm human, miss…?" Rojas left it hanging in the air.
"I'm Esmeralda Nightingale." She stated whilst finishing her gun polishing. "Are you a faunus, or a norm?"
"I'm faunus, Esmeralda. I just got really subtle traits." Rojas answered before he looked at her and then smiled. "Perhaps you should see it out in the field."
"Hey, anyone not gonna ask who the little kid is?!" Aurum suddenly called out, pointing at Naruto, who pretty much went unnoticed. "Okay, who in here owes some child support?"
"What the hell is child support?" Naruto mentally questioned whilst nudging his head to the side. "Um, hello there Aurum, right?"
"Squeaky voice, bleh! Wait a damn second, a red sash…is Sienna out of her damned gourd?!" Aurum screamed whilst running up to Naruto, who tensed up slightly. "This kid has a red sash, who the hell gives the red sash to a kid who hasn't even had his balls drop probably!"
"W-what, hey, I'll have you know that my, uh…" He draws a blank before snapping his fingers. "Apples have dropped from the tree!"
"Balls, boy, balls! B.A.L.L.S!" Aurum lectured whilst poking a thin finger into his chest over, and over. "Seriously, who are you?"
"Well, first of all, get your finger out of my chest." Naruto brushed the faunus's hand aside. "My name's Naruto Uzumaki, and I'm guy who defeated that Razor Fin in the video, ya know!"
"Wait…" Esmeralda glared at him, judging him. "Hold the hell up, this little brat is him!"
"The kid with powers?" Aurum took a doubletake, and then his eyes widened a little bit. "Well, ain't this interesting!"
"Yo, Specialist Bjorn, I heard Kuo Kuana was attacked last night, and this kid stopped it!" Another soldier shouted whilst switching Grisha on the bench.
Naruto rubs the back of his head sheepishly, giggling like a loon. "Aww, c'mon guys, it was nothing' ya know!"
"Nothing, the kid says it's nothing! I like this little brat, spunky!" Aurum shouted whilst walking over, adjusting his wolf's tail on his head. "Hey, Spunky, what're going to do for training?"
"Um, well…" Naruto looked towards Bjorn. "I don't think I need any combat training, I think."
"Oh, you'll need combat training. You fight good up close from what I've heard, but you lack tools, son." Specialist Bjorn stated matter-of-factly before looking toward Aurum. "Aurum, please take Recruit Uzumaki toward the weapon cache. Have him practice firing various firearms, and have him practice with the basic melee weapons we've got."
"I really don't like guns…" Naruto raised his hand slightly in protest. "They're too loud for what I do…"
"For what you did, you're a soldier now. You're not a stealth fighter! Besides, think of it like as an extra layer of defense!" Bjorn argued whilst crossing his arms. "By the by, this is a direct order from a superior officer so…get moving!"
Naruto shrunk back as he started to follow Aurum, who quickly led the boy out of the barracks.
Luna stood there, arms behind her back. Her little cottontail twitching every so often. "Specialist Bjorn, what training do I need?"
"Well, Luna, you're a combat medic. From our profile on you, Healing is your semblance. We need you to do close-combat training!" Specialist Bjorn shouted as the mats at the opening to another room suddenly cleared off. "Luna, go with Grisha, and Grisha!"
The White Wolf looked at Bjorn, "yes sir?"
"Welcome her properly into our ranks." The commander of The Black Cats stated before turning to Rojas. He raised his hand up before scratching his chin. "Nothing really much I can do with you, can I?"
"Was a Huntsman for seven years." Rojas stated before crossing his arms. "Nothing more you could teach me, sorry my friend."
"It's sorry sir, ahem, anyway…just fuck off somewhere." Specialist Bjorn waved whilst starting to walk away. He stopped, and then thought about something before turning to Rojas. "Recruit Fuego! Weren't you missing flight qualifications?"
"Shit…"
Aurum shifted in his armor, sighing as he came to the range. He looked toward Naruto, who saw the racks of various firearms. The resident combat engineer held his hand up, smiling. "Welcome to my home, Spunky! This here is my assortment of trade goods. I have got everything a gun-nut could ever want. From Assault Rifles, to Needle Guns!" He stated with passion layered in his voice.
"What the hell is a needle gun?" Naruto asks whilst looking at the weapons rack, pacing it. "Also, I didn't know they made so many different guns, and bows, and…crossbows?"
"Well, what you're seeing toward the far left right now is my assault rifles. I have the mainstays from each kingdom. Valian Chargers-Fifteen, Vacuoian Assaulter-Fifty Sevens, Mistral's Autoloader-Six, and then we got Atlassian Gauss-Fifty." Aurum walked over, and pulled the second to last from the rack.
He took a magazine from under a small drawer located under it. He placed it at the top, folding out the stock before pulling the twin firing pins back with his left middle and index finger. Walking over to the range, he braces his shoulder before squeezing the trigger and holding. Three large responses from the barrel struck the target down range, obliterating plywood head.
Naruto recoiled from the loud bangs. He watched as Aurum pressed a button on the side, ejecting the magazine before smiling. He tosses the magazine over to Naruto, who saw the long rounds inside of it. He felt the weight of it, the magazine had to weigh at least two pounds. Aurum walked over to him, pulling the pins back on the weapon to eject the last round which he caught in the air.
"That's the Mistralian Autoloader. You see the additional magazine slots? Those are for dust rounds, or other bullet types. All I have to do is flip a switch, and it switches the feed. The idea behind the rifle was to put down Grimm, not exactly anti-humanoid. Still, it uses a great round for combat." Aurum explained to Naruto whilst moving the gun about, and showing him that it's firing handle was past the breach. "Weird design to load from the top, but it's technically meant to put rounds down range more-so than be accurate."
"Okay…I didn't understand half of what you said, but it seems powerful…" Naruto absently replied whilst tossing the magazine back toward Aurum, Who caught it out of the air, and then Naruto went from the assault rifles towards the SMGs. "So, what are SMGs?"
"Sub-Machine-Gun. Basically, they're small versions of a machine gun. Compact, lightweight, and if you got a good grip with some of them, onehanded. However, unlike the overall balance of an assault rifle, SMGs aren't generally chambered in a powerful caliber. Also, it's meant for anti-personnel work more-so than Anti-Grimm." The combat engineer explained whilst walking over toward one of them, pulling it out. "This is here off shoot of the Valian Vector series, called an Interceptor. Chambered in nine-millimeter, but it's also capable of firing forty-five caliber rounds."
"What's the difference?" Naruto asked whilst getting handed the weapon, and walking over to the range. "I'm not really sure about using guns still, but this feels extremely light."
"Hold it firm, and squeeze the trigger." Aurum instructed Naruto whilst the blonde focused down the barrel, and finding the little red dot at the end.
Click-Click-Click!
Naruto nearly threw the down gun, it startled it him slightly. "Whoa, what was that?!" He yelled out in surprise.
"It's out of ammo, here, Spunky!" Aurum yelled, tossing a large magazine over to Naruto. "That's the nine! Load it from the bottom, pointy ends of the bullet facing the barrel hole!"
Naruto did as instructed, and then saw the firing pin. Having saw what Aurum did earlier, the blonde reached over and pulled it back. It charged a round, and Naruto took a deep breath as he braces the butt of the submachine gun to his shoulder. Aiming at a target, which was registered fifteen meters away. He squeezes the trigger, slowly, and then focused.
Bang-Bang-Bang!
The three round burst kicked onto his shoulder. He took it, easily enough, watching as the shot waft wide to the left. Striking the dirt about three feet from target. Naruto took a deep breath, refocusing back onto the target, squeezing the trigger again. Another loud rapport of gunfire and the barking of the three round burst sent metal flying down range. This time, one of the rounds clipped the hand of the plywood target.
"Alright, I got 'em that time!" Naruto excitedly declared before focusing. Squeezing the trigger after each burst, getting more and more focused as he continued putting rounds down range. Soon he heard the clicking from before, and saw that his target was destroyed. "I think I'm out, Aurum."
"Ahem, until you are not a recruit, it's Corporal Aurum." Aurum corrected Naruto, whilst walking over to him, and taking the Interceptor away. "So, submachine guns?"
"Not really my thing, I mean like the lack of kick. However, I was brought that if you're going to be doing anything at range, it's to be quick and precise." Naruto said whilst he reached down, pulling out a few shuriken and then slinging them down range. The screeching rapport of the metal stars ringed through the air as they impacted a target more then twenty meters down range. "Kind of like that, and you're supposed to move about."
"Holy shit, what in the hell?!" Aurum declared when he saw the target fall back. "That's a hell of an arm kid!"
"I know, right?! I used to stay up back in my village, all night and day, just getting good at shuriken throwing! Then came the kunai!" Naruto got into another pouch, pulling out a kunai before slinging hard into an even more distant target, both watched as the head of the plywood figure was obliterated! "See, definitely wouldn't want to get caught on the wrong end of that, ya know!"
The squirrel faunus whistles before looking at the blonde. "Yeah, that's a hell of an arm, but hey! So, you like to scoot and shoot! Well, it's an old timey thing, but hang on!" He runs over to the rack, pulling out a rifle of some sort. It had a bolt on it, and ran back over. "I present to you, my fox-whisker bearing friend, The Menagerian Long Rifle. It's a model four, based off The Great War variant of a Valien Long Rifle.
"Long…rifle?" Naruto mouthed out, tilting his head in confusion. Watching Aurum smiled, cocking the bolt back.
"This baby is powerful, chambered for rounds meant for bears, and Ursa. Vale's forces during The Great War used these babies to drive back those filthy Atlassians, ha!" Aurum declared before getting out a significantly larger bullet. "Unlike modern weapons, this thing is a bolt action, taking clips." Aurum loads the bullet, pulling the bolt back, charging the round. "You can have a scope on it, it's effective at one hundred meters."
"One hundred meters, that's like, I don't know…three hundred feet?" Naruto questioned, mildly impressed as Aurum dropped to his knee, aiming down range. "So, do I have to kneel like that to fire it?"
"No, not really, Spunky. Hang on…and…" The combat engineer squeezes the trigger.
BANG!
The loudest rapport filled Naruto's ears as he watched the target marked one hundred meters lose it's plywood head. Naruto smiles a little bit, watching as the older blonde stood back up. Shouldering the rifle with a strap. Naruto noticed the beautiful oak wood the stock was made of it, with the metal having a coupe of rust spots. He watch Aurum load another bullet into it, and smiled.
"Mind if I have a go at it?" Naruto asked, holding out his hands.
"Knock yourself out." Aurum said before scratching his chin. "We might be here for a while."
"Actually, about that, do you think that it would be better to teach me the rest all at once?" The shinobi inquired whilst focusing on his target, looking down the iron sights. Taking a deep breath. "Hang on a minute…um…there we go."
Naruto squeezes the trigger, and the bullet slams right into the into the dirt about three feet away from the target. "Damn it…" He breathed out before looking over at Aurum.
"Well, I suppose, but how do you plan on doing that?" Aurum inquired, and then watched as Naruto hands him the gun. He took, and only watched dazed as the blonde contorted his hands into several different gestures before slapping them into a final one.
"Alright, let's do this! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto declared as a dozen puffs of smoke exploded around, revealing exact replicas of the blonde shinobi.
Aurum nods his head, and then looked at him. "So, just me assuming, they can take knowledge and give it back to you?"
"Yep, pretty much, it's a thing about the technique that I've only realized for a few months. So…" Naruto looked toward a short gun with two barrels. "What's that one?"
Aurum smiles, and pats his shoulder. "That there, Spunky, is a Mistralian Short Shotgun, also known as a Genya." The older blonde said with a smile.
"Cool…so, I might've been a little too quick to judge guns. Gotta admit, I do like this rifle right here. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'll stop wafting my shots as time goes on." Naruto told the combat engineer before noticed a smile on his face.
"I'm pretty sure too, Spunky. Okay then, well I'm gonna message Specialist Bjorn, your ass is mine for the rest of the day!" Aurum declared before walking over to his scroll. "You like music?"
"What'cha listening too?" Naruto inquired whilst walking with Aurum as his clones stood in front of guns that got their attention.
"Some techno music, but it's a bit melancholic. Ever heard of Sweater Weather?"
