Summary: After discovering an abandoned Foot Genetics Lab and getting attacked by once-human digging-creatures, the Lotus Ninjas assist the creature with trying to understand the mysterious connection between Donatella and the crystals.
The Lotus Ninjas immediately backed away from the mutants.
The Lotus Ninjas just as the spider mutant creature bursted the door and walked inside with a hissing growl. The mystic kunoichis quickly drew their magic in fighting stances.
The spider mutant creature shot webs at the Lotus Ninjas from its front legs, but they quickly scattered out of the way. It quickly spat out another blob of web, but the Lotus Ninjas dodged again.
Ella generated two fireballs in her hand and threw them forward, making the spider mutant creature back away in fright. Lee then generated two whips composed of water in her hands before sending them to restrain the spider mutant creature. But the spider mutant creature wasn't giving up that easily. It shot webs from its front legs, trapping Ella and Lee to the wall.
Ellie charged forward and extended her arms outward, sending multiple crescent-shaped blades of wind towards the spider mutant creature. But the spider mutant creature crawled away to the ceiling while avoiding the wind blades. It then spat out another blob of web that trapped Ellie to the ground.
The spider mutant creature jumped off and landed back onto the ground. It roared at Ella, Lee, and Ellie before charging forward. But Donna quickly stepped in front of the spider mutant creature just before her eyes glowed bluish-white again. This time, Donna focused her earth magic onto the ground, spreading glowing cracks in all directions. Two large golem-like rock figures emerged from the cracks and stood in front of Donna.
Ellie, Lee, and Ella became momentarily speechless.
"Wow, wicked." Ellie gasped.
Ellie, Lee, and Ella looked at Donna, who looked just as perplexed as her sisters.
"Whoa. How…How did I…?" Donna questioned to herself as she stared at her hands.
The spider mutant creature roared again and started charging towards Donna.
"Restrain her!" Donna commanded.
The rock golems obeyed. They charged forward and sped away in different directions as they successfully restrained the spider mutant creature by grabbing its legs from both sides.
"Please." The spider mutant creature spoke in a feminine voice. "I mean you no harm."
"You should've thought of that when you attacked us minutes ago!" Ella shouted.
"My apologizes. I thought you four are intruders." The spider mutant creature apologized. She stared at the crystals in Donna's pouch bag. "The purple one carries the essence of the crystals. Those crystals are nothing but trouble."
Donna stared at the crystals for a moment. She then looked back at the golems.
"Let her go." Donna ordered. "And help my sisters out of those webs if you please."
The rock golems obeyed with nods. They released the spider mutant and walked past Donna. One rock golem pulled Ellie out of the web from the ground while the other rock golem pulled Ella and Lee out of the webs from the wall.
"Why have you come here?" The spider mutant asked as she walked up to Donna.
"To look for some answers about the crystals." Donna answered. "I'm Donatella." She pointed her thumb at her older and younger sisters. "And these are my sisters, Leona, Rafaela, and Michelle."
"And you are?" Lee questioned.
"I am Venetta." The spider mutant replied.
"No, I meant your real name. Not the name the Foot called you." Lee said.
Venetta let out a sad look on her face.
"I'm sorry, but I…I actually don't remember my real name." Venetta said. "Those experiments have stripped my memories of my real identity."
"We know. We saw what happened from the video log entries." Lee said. "We're sorry for what the Foot did to you."
"It's alright." Venetta said. "The Foot snatched many of us from our homes, the streets, and our offices for no reason, so they can force us to their bidding. The true reason why we were chosen have left us an unknown answer." She looked at Donna's pouch bag. "When those crystals were activated, its energies have drawn to me and led me to you. Even though their energy is a sign of danger, I can normally sense them coming from deep down below."
"Wait. So, you're telling us that there's more of these crystals?" Donna asked.
"Yes, but the location of the crystals is a forbidden place." Venetta explained. "But if I can sense the crystals, it's possible that you can sense them too."
"I can, actually." Donna clarified. "Not only that, the crystals are enhancing my magic to limitless possibilities."
"I would explain these guys." Ellie said, pointing her thumb at the rocky golems behind the group.
"I see." Venetta said. "You might have great power to develop a connection to the crystals. If we can find the catacombs, it would lead us to the Forbidden Zone."
"What makes the place so…forbidden?" Ellie asked.
"There were many of us that were forced to explore the ancient catacombs for miles. Many of them went out to search, but they have never returned." Venetta explained. "A ghostly entity took them to the Forbidden Zone. Its frightening appearance made most of us not go anywhere near there."
"Look, I understand your story, but the answer to the crystals and Donna's powers leads right to that Forbidden Zone." Lee declared. "You don't have to go there alone. We'll go with you."
Ella and Donna nodded in agreement.
Three mystic kunoichis stared at Ellie, who rolled her eyes.
"I know." Ellie said with a sigh. "I'm going too."
"Donna?" Ella said to Donna.
Donna nodded and closed her eyes, concentrating on seismic vibrations coming from the underground area. She came upon an elevator-like door that led to a large cave inside. Then, Donna opened her eyes.
"What'cha got, D?" Lee asked.
"Some sort of cavern." Donna replied. "I can get us there."
Donna enveloped her right hand with earth magic and lifted it at the rocky golems, magically fusing them together into one rock golem with four arms. It started digging to the ground with rapid punches and already tunneled down while still going strong.
"So. Cool." Donna breathed in awe.
Suddenly, Donna's eyes went pure purple for a split second. Through her eyes, an unexpected vision came into her view. In her vision, she saw a stocky, muscular teenage mutant turtle standing in front of her. He has olive green skin, purple ninja bandana for the eyes, brown elbow and shoulder pads, and a bo staff on the back of his shell. He looked straight at her with narrow eyes.
After her vision ended, Donna placed her hand on her head with a groan.
"Hey, Donna, are you okay?" Ellie asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Donna replied. "Just a minor headache."
"Let's go, girls." Lee said.
One by one, four mystic kunoichis and the spider mutant jumped through the hole.
Meanwhile, the rock golem had finished digging the tunnel. It emerged out of the ceiling and climbed down to the ground. It then crumbled into nothing but pebbles before a certain mutant turtle turned around to notice.
In the vertical tunnel, the mystic kunoichis and the spider mutant descended very carefully. Donna went first followed by Lee, Ella, Ellie, and Venetta.
"We're getting close." Donna informed. "Watch your step."
But Ellie slipped on the chipped-off rock and fell down on top of Ella with a scream. Ella fell on top of Lee, who then fell on top of Donna. They all came crashing and landed down in a heap at the bottom. Ella looked annoyed with her hand on her cheek as she, Lee, and Donna glared up at Ellie.
"Well, that was fun." Ella commented sarcastically.
"Oopsie." Ellie said with a sheepish smile.
Venetta climbed out of the tunnel hole and landed on the ground.
"Are you okay down there?" Venetta asked.
"We're good." Ellie replied with a thumb-up.
"Yeah. Can you get off of us now?" Lee asked.
"Oh, right, sorry." Ellie said.
"Ellie."
Ellie, Lee, Ella, Donna, and Venetta turned their heads to the source of that voice until they saw a mutant ninja turtle standing at the entrance of a large elevator-like door.
"Mikey!" Ellie exclaimed with a wide smile. She hopped off of Lee and ran over to hug Mikey, who hugged her back. "Wait a minute. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here with my bros and some other underground mutants." Mikey replied. "But what are you doing here?"
"I'm here with my sisters and our underground mutant friend." Ellie responded, pointing her thumb behind.
Mikey looked over to see Lee, Donna, Ella, and Venetta approaching towards him.
"So, you're Michelangelo?" Donna asked.
"The one and only." Mikey said with a proud smile.
"I see. Let's give the lovebirds some alone time." Lee smirked at Ella.
Lee, Ella, Donna, and Venetta waked past Mikey and Ellie.
"We'll be inside when you need us." Ella smirked back.
Mikey looked confused while Ellie glared at them.
"You girls are impossible!" Ellie shouted.
"Why not? I don't mind having an alone time with the hottest kunoichi around." Mikey said with a flirtatious smile as he wrapped his arm around Ellie's shoulders.
Ellie giggled with a blush.
Then, Mikey and Ellie heard a strange noise from above, making both of them look up.
Lee, Donna, Ella, and Venetta advanced inside the cavern, where they saw three mutant turtles and three underground mutants. One underground mutant was a blue insectoid-like humanoid monster, the other underground mutant was a red scorpion-like humanoid monster, and the last underground mutant was a rock-like humanoid monster.
"Leo?" Lee spoke in surprise.
"Lee?" Leo said surprisingly.
"Raph?" Ella said surprisingly.
"Ella?" Raph said in surprise.
"So, I'm guessing those two are Leonardo and Raphael." Donna said with a teasing smirk as she placed her hands on her hips. "Not bad, girls. Not bad."
Lee and Ella glared at Donna, leaving Leo and Raph exchange confuse faces.
Suddenly, Donna's eyes blazed as bluish-white light gleamed over her. As she was lifted into the air, the whole cavern rumbled and rock fragments began falling from the ceiling.
"Whoa! What's going on?!" Leo shouted.
"It's Donna!" Lee shouted back. "The crystals have been enhancing her powers since her connection to them kept growing stronger!"
"I got her!" The purple masked mutant turtle called out.
As the purple masked mutant turtle sped up towards Donna, the mystic kunoichi's eyes returned to normal and everything instantly stopped shaking. Her eyes fluttered shut and she descended to the floor, but the purple masked mutant turtle quickly raced forward and caught her in his arms. He looked at Donna with an awestruck face. Donna groaned as she opened her eyes and then looked up at the purple masked mutant turtle. Her jade green eyes instantly connected with the mutant turtle's black eyes. She felt her heart picking up speed. Her eyes glinted with a magenta shade just as it occurred with the mutant turtle, igniting an instant magical attraction between them.
A small gasp escaped out of Donna's mouth as she quickly realized that he is the same mutant from her vision.
"Hi." Donna greeted dreamily.
"Hey." The mutant turtle back with an absentminded smile. "I'm Donatello."
"Donatella." Donna replied.
Donnie and Donna stared for a surprisingly long time until the sound of snickering from Donna's older sisters caught their attention that made them turn their heads to Lee and Ella.
"Shame, shame." Ella said with a smile.
"We know your name." Lee grinned.
Donna glared with a growl while Donnie looked confused before placing her on her feet.
Venetta walked up to the underground mutants, who recognized her in an instant.
"Greetings, Quarry, Stonebiter, Razorfist." Venetta greeted. "You don't have to worry about the girls. They're with me and they're here for some answers about the crystals."
Quarry understood with a nod. He found a big crystal in the cavern wall and stepped up to reach for it.
"Good, this crystal will do. We needn't travel any deeper into this evil place." Quarry said.
Mikey and Ellie kept looking up at the ceilings until they saw a blue insectoid-like humanoid monster digging through the hole and emerging out of it.
Mikey screamed.
"What the?!" Ellie cried out.
Mikey grabbed Ellie's hand and ran up into the cavern.
"Guys, guys, guuuuuuuuys, we got monsters right behind us!" Mikey shouted.
"He's not joking!" Ellie said. "Those monsters found us!"
"But how?" Lee exclaimed in disbelief.
"Everybody, let's get to cover!" Leo ordered,
Leo ran to the downward tunnel.
"But that way leads to…" Quarry warned.
"No choice. Let's go!" Leo interrupted.
The Turtles, the Lotus Ninjas, and the underground mutants dashed forward through the tunnel that led them to a grey hexagonal door as a dead end. Razorfist began clawing through the door, but it didn't lay a scratch. Next, Stonebiter rammed his head to break the door down, but it doesn't make a dent. Then, Quarry tried scratching the door with his claws and then spat acid at it, but that didn't even melt the door. Ella walked up and fired a large beam of fire at the door, but her magic didn't melt the door neither.
"Ugh! This dang door won't budge!" Ella shouted in frustration.
Donnie looked at the crystal in his hand and noticed a crystal shaped-hole at the right side of the closed door.
"Stand back." Donnie spoke.
Donnie placed the crystal in the slot, but nothing happened.
"Come on, come on." Donnie said exasperatingly. He turned to the others. "Never mind."
Everyone heard the roaring sound of the mindless mutant monsters from afar.
"Battle ready, everyone." Leo ordered as he pulled out his katana swords.
Donnie reached his hand for his bo-staff, but he turned his attention back to the slot again.
"You know, I wonder…" Donnie muttered.
Donnie took the crystal and turned it over inside the slot, causing it to glow brightly. It also activated and opened the door. Donnie then stepped into the room.
"Hey, it worked!" Donnie called out to the others.
Suddenly, a glowing bola came spinning out of nowhere. It started circling around Donnie, who looked at it in confusion. Then, Donnie disappeared in a flash of white light.
"Donnie?" Mikey asked.
"No!" Leo exclaimed.
"Donnie!" Raph shouted in worry.
Suddenly, another glowing bola came spinning out of the door. It started circling around Ella, who looked at it in confusion.
"What the?" Ella said.
Then, Ella vanished in a flash of white light.
"Ella!" Lee and Ellie exclaimed.
"No!" Raph shouted with a concerned face.
"Are…are they…?" Donna murmured in shock.
"They're gone." Mikey said in disbelief.
Everyone turned their heads back to the sound of a monstrous roar.
"And in a couple of minutes, we'll be goners too!" Mikey exclaimed.
A mindless red scorpion-like monster and a mindless rock-skinned cyclops-like monster approached from the tunnel as they made their way towards the group. The Turtles held out their ninja weapons while the Lotus Ninjas enveloped their magic in their hands.
"And here it ends." Quarry said.
Review and enjoy.
