Ok, so there's not gonna be an update next week because I'm going on vacation, and even if I manage to write it, I'd have no way to edit or post it, so I decided to just make this chapter which might have been split into two otherwise into one, which worked out better anyway. This does however mean I won't get my free weekly dopamine I get from posting so uh, maybe give me some extra reviews to make me feel better?

thewittywhy: The way I interpret it is that Cell has knowledge of their attacks, because obviously he also has them, but he doesn't have much in form of conscious memories. He has similar traits but any actual knowledge has to either come from Gero's computer or him actually seeing or learning it. He didn't know that Piccolo could regrow limbs until he actually did it after all

xXSelenaXx: Thanks lol. And yeah, don't worry, I can't say much on the matter but, by the time the Buu saga comes around, actual power will not be SIGohan's primary concern. I've had to add strict rules to it so that it doesn't just, break the Buu saga
As for the Chichi situation, again I can't get into it much without giving too much away, but I plan on going about it a couple different ways. But yeah she is pretty heteronormative, which is the main conflict in the matter
And yeah, clover is the other student. As for her role, we shall see

As it turned out, there was a limit to how long Raditz could pretend to tolerate being around Goku. So, while Raditz retreated back to Capsule Corp, assumably ducking away from Vegeta the entire time, Goku decided it was a great time to go camping. At which Piccolo promptly disappeared from sight, mysteriously.

It was fair enough, a break would be nice and Chichi agreed without issue. She did, however, decline the offer to come with. Couldn't imagine why.

Camping was never something that appealed to me before, but well, I'd already been living in the mountains for years, and oh yeah. I was kinda abandoned in the wilderness for six months. Regular camping was, not much of a hassle in comparison.

Also, it was an excuse to spend time with Krillin again. Admittedly months, nearly a year, of training was getting on my nerves. A few days of a break from, anything, was welcome.

Raditz was making, some, progress. He could sense energy and control his Ki better at least. Was he stronger? Objectively speaking, yes. He was much stronger than he started. Was he caught up with the rest of us? Or any of us, besides Chiaotzu? No. No, he was not.

It was hard because, he obviously, very obviously, does not like training. He tolerated Ki control decently, and sparring he did for a bit but, when the only person he seems capable of having an actual conversation with is the child who, isn't exactly the ideal sparring partner.

Not because I wasn't stronger than he was, no, obviously I was. But since I was very much smaller, and as fun as it was to always win any real spar, it also wasn't ideal for his morale.

Goku was technically better than me in that regard. Sure, he was also very much stronger than Raditz, but at least there was less of a size difference.

The issue there was, they didn't really act like brothers, and that was very distracting for both of them. Pretty sure neither of them knew how.

They obviously didn't know each other for most of their lives. Goku didn't even know he had a brother for that time.

Raditz absolutely never initiated a conversation, and while Goku had no issue in that regard, he also just, kinda treats everyone the same? Which would be great, if it didn't just aggravate Raditz more.

Most things seemed to really.

And obviously, Piccolo was just out of the question. They just, did not interact. At all. Ever. I honestly don't know if I expected anything else.

Even ignoring all of Raditz's other difficulties, the fact that Piccolo ever so slightly killed him that one time definitely didn't help, and Piccolo wasn't exactly known for being a social butterfly.

What would really be best would be to find a sparring partner that wasn't absurdly stronger than he was, but the closest to that was Yamcha, and besides still being a few times stronger, I also don't think Yamcha would be the best match. He was too, flippant, and while he was nice enough with the people he liked I don't think he and Raditz would tolerate each other for very long.

Plus, that's would involve introducing Raditz to more new people. Which, while probably helpful, is also a lot of effort.

Raditz did get along decently with Chichi at least. He still didn't initiate conversation, but at least he wasn't rude towards her, probably deciding that picking a fight with her was more trouble than it was worth.

I am, off topic we are going camping. While true Chichi agreed, it was apparently a last-minute decision, at least in terms of her knowing about it.

The camping trip itself was a group thing, which honestly I preferred over it just being Goku and I.

With us was Krillin, the pig that I really should get the name of. Oo- something I think, Ocari, and Icarus, who kinda just does his own thing most of the time, showing up when he wants attention. Like a cat. Dragon cat. Dragon puppy cat.

Camping, was camping. I can't say I was the most enthusiastic about it but it was something different to do so why not. Admittedly, I did end up falling to the background and just kinda doing what I was told for a fair bit of it.

I sat by the fire as Krillin stirred some kind of stew, "ah- yep, I think we're gonna need some more firewood to keep this burning hot, could you grab some Gohan?"

"Oh, sure," I got up to grab some cut logs. Cutting things was easy when super strength. I can't quite do the cool stacking thing Goku does when cutting them, but that's more for aesthetics anyway.

As I walked back I felt a chill run down my spine. I wasn't keeping my senses active because camping was assumably safe, none the less I scanned around then and sensed several new Ki's, far stronger than anything that should be on Earth.

One moved behind me but before I could react I felt hot sparks shoot up my spine.

Was it bad I kinda forgot about the tail weakness? That's probably bad.

It was all I could do to keep track of where I was as I was now hanging off the ground, my only point of contact being the, whoever it was holding me by the tail.

And now I was spinning, each movement of their arm creating a new spark of pain up my spine.

There was a shout and that stopped at least. Then I was thrown across the clearing, but really I was just glad that my tail was free.

I climbed out of what used to be our tent, blinking as I tried to reorient myself.

Krillin was unconscious with Ocari trying to wake him up, and I'm pretty sure the pig was trying to make Icarus fly away, and was very much failing.

Looking over to the river Goku was fighting a trio that looked familiar in a way I couldn't quite place.

This whole setup seemed way too familiar actually. But- it wasn't something in the main series, I was sure of it. The only thing that should be in the three-year training time skip was the driving filler, which I remember because funny.

But if it seemed familiar, but it wasn't in the main series-

"Movies!? Seriously!?" I hissed under my breath.

What movie even was this? Not any of the really early ones. Which ones could even take place during the three-year time skip?

"Gohan? Are you alright?" Ocari was now looking at me from Krillin's side.

"I'm fine," I nodded. Ocari nodded as he continued to try to wake Krillin.

I turned back to the fight, which Goku seemed to be doing just fine with on his own.

Then a much stronger Ki approached. Familiar but different in its malice. Calmer, more collected and controlled than his brother's.

Cooler.

Of course. Why not?

I guess of all the earlier movies this one makes the most sense to actually happen.

The three henchmen immediately landed as the last surviving Frost Demon walked forward.

I glanced back at Krillin, still not recovered as Ocari kneeled at his side. I nodded, they were fine, probably. Krillin's ki was dim, but still there, not fading in the slightest.

I made way closer to the fight.

I tried to fly up to stay out of sight for an extra moment but apparently, that wasn't enough as Cooler leveled his gaze with me anyway.

Goku followed his gaze to see me and shouted, "GOHAN! STAY BACK!"

I froze in place. Right, of course, Goku wouldn't need my help, he was the strongest one here by far. Piccolo was closing the gap a bit but there was still an obvious lead.

I couldn't quite register the bright light as I wasn't used to eye beams, too used to people raising their hands to fire blasts. In the next moment, Goku was in front of me, and then we were both falling, Goku's arms wrapped around me protectively.

I tried to concentrate my ki enough to fly us both out, before realizing id never get away from Cooler that way. No, falling and disappearing into the river might be the better option, assuming I manage to not drown us.

Goku managed one last blast towards Cooler as we plunged into the river, the shock of cold almost making the breath I took pointless.

We fell over a waterfall, creating even more distance. As the current swept us further down, a blast of Ki behind us startled more of my precious air bubbles away. Regardless, the already dimming light from the sunset and the rushing water kept us safely out of Cooler's sight.

I'm not sure how long we were under, but it was certainly too long as I'm sure I coughed up a river's worth of water myself.

Goku, on the other hand, did not surface quite conscious.

His back was thoroughly burned through, layers of skin peeling away. That, was my fault, wasn't it? Because I was there for Cooler to attack.

As opposed to what? Staying on the sidelines and doing nothing? Then something would have happened and that would have been my fault too, for not helping.

Oh whatever, this wasn't helping.

I suppressed my energy to the minimum I would need to carry Goku away and tracked through the forest.

It wasn't long until I found a cave that looked good enough for a hiding place. They won't be able to see us from above at least.

Goku's ki was dim and flickering. They won't be able to pick us up on the Scouters at least?

I, didn't know what I was supposed to do. I didn't have any medical supplies, even if I did I wouldn't really know how to use them. Certainly not on a burn that large.

The best I could do was lay Goku on his side, rather than his back, but that proved useless when he struggled awake and ended up laying on his back anyway.

"Are you ok?" I asked, uselessly.

Goku grimaced, tried to smile, only to grimace again, "my body's fried. I, don't think I'll be able to fight like this."

Which was the opposite of a good thing, because literally no one else here, or on the planet at all stood half a chance.

There was a sudden, and then constant loud noise. I made my way to the edge of the cave, not daring to actually leave it, only to see a barrage of Ki blasts blazing through the forest.

Oh that's just great.

And they were getting closer.

Really closer.

Ah darn it.

I ran back to Goku, barely daring to raise my Ki any as I covered him best I could despite being a quarter of his size, barely managing to reach him as the cave caved in around us.

Well, now they really won't be able to see us from above?

I didn't dare move. Not even after the blasts silenced. Some rocks landed on me, but at this point that was hardly an issue. Goku probably would have also been fine, but with how injured he is, I wasn't gonna take that risk.

I'm not sure how long we stayed there until something changed. Goku managed to be worried about the wildlife as he was lying there half dead.

"Gohan? Hey Gohan? Are you there?" I heard a voice whisper from outside of the rocks.

"Krillin?"

"Yeah, are you ok?"

"Me? Yeah. Dad? Not, really."

"Is he there with you?"

"Yeah."

"Ok, we're gonna get you out of there, just sit tight."

It wasn't long after that until the rocks covering us were pulled away. Fresh air a much welcomed change from the dusty surroundings.

Once freed, Krillin looked over Goku and determined that it was, in fact, really bad.

Ocari tapped my shoulder, "I thought you might want this," he held out my sword.

"Oh, right thanks," I swung it over my back. A bit more of a discomfort over my thinner T-shirt than my Gi, but hardly the current issue.

"Ok," he nodded, "Gohan, you take Icarus and go see if Korin has any Senzu beans. You too Ocari."

"Me?" Ocari looked up.

"Yeah, two pairs of hands are better than one, right?" Krillin smiled.

Ocari frowned, but nodded, "alright."

Krillin turned back to me, "I'll stay here and look after your dad, but we're sitting ducks until you get back with those Senzu beans, alright?"

"Right," I nodded.

"And don't either of you fly yourselves! Just let Icarus do that! You don't want to be caught by their Scouters!"

"Right," I helped Ocari onto Icarus, I took off straight into the sky.

How fortunate, that they were so busy looking down as we passed them, that they never thought to look up.

Once we were a good enough distance away I lifted my shirt enough to wrap my tail around my waist and tuck it away. Yeah, I'm definitely gonna have to learn to get rid of that weakness.

"Why am I here?"

I turned back towards Ocari, "because Krillin said so?" I guessed.

"No, I mean, why was I here at all?"

"Because camping was supposed to be safe and fun, and you like animals so I thought you'd like it?"

"That's not- why am I on Earth here? It's not like I've helped with anything."

"I thought you stayed because you wanted to learn things, not fight anything."

"I did! But then that Frieza monster came here and then the Future man came and said everything was going to go bad and I'm still not- I haven't-"

"You don't have to. You don't have to do anything, you're a kid."

"You're younger than I am!"

"That's, different."

"How?"

"It just is."

Ocari frowned and looked down. the rest of the trip was silent.

By the time we made it to Korin's tower, it was sunrise.

"Ah, well if it isn't the child of Goku, and the young Namek as well. What brings you here?"

"Hey Korin, uh, well- there's kind of an alien tyrant about to kill everyone, and Dad's hurt pretty bad. We were hoping that you had some Senzu Beans?"

"Yes please," Ocari added.

"Yeah sure, lucky you, I just harvested some. Hey Yajirobi! Get out here! Bring the Beans!"

A moment later, the uh, the guy, that one guy, the one who cut off Vegeta's tail, walked out carrying a small tied-off bag, assumably full of Senzu Beans.

"Well, hand them over," Korin demanded, pointing his cane at me.

"Yeah sure. One thing first. What is my name?" The guy asked, looking at me.

How'd he even notice? I don't talk to him?

"Uh-"

"Korin just said it!"

I glanced over at Korin, then back. I shrugged.

"Why should I hand them over to someone who can't even be bothered to learn my name?"

"That isn't your decision to make. Give the kid the beans," Korin demanded. When the guy still did not move Korin just knocked them out of his hand with his cane and tossed them to me himself.

"Thanks, Korin," I smiled.

"Hey wait, before you go. You, Namek kid, follow me," Korin turned without glancing back, grabbing some kind of, tube? As he turned a corner.

Ocari looked at me as if asking for permission. I shrugged. We followed.

"Well sure, I said the Namek kid, but both of you can come, why not," Korin half muttered as he lead us up a few flights of stairs, and then up to a ladder up to the roof.

Ocari followed Korin in climbing the ladder. I opted to just, fly instead.

"Ah- yep, right this way, and here we are," Korin said as he got to the center of the roof, indicating to the red beam leading straight upwards.

"It's not as if anyone using this, what with all the flying. Power Pole, Descend." Korin commanded and almost instantly the beam retracted into a much more manageable fighting staff.

"Catch," Korin tossed the pole at Ocari. The boy was utterly confused, but did as he was told.

"Now say, Power Pole Extend."

"Power, Pole…Extend?" Ocari nearly dropped the pole as it extended in front of him, further than I could see.

"Good, now say Power Pole, Descend."

"Power Pole, descend?" And it was back to its standard size.

"Great. It's all your's kid. Here," he handed the tube, which I now suppose is its sheath.

"Uhm, what?"

"Like I said, it's not like anyone else is using it. You're a nice kid. Seemed like a good fit. It's one of a kind, you should be thankful."

Korin didn't leave much room to respond as he just walked away, climbing back down, laughing to himself about irony or something.

"Uhm, thanks?" Ocari looked at me confused. I didn't have much to add, so I just shrugged.

He sheathed the pole and hoisted the strap over his shoulder, taking a moment to try and look at it over his back.

Well, that was interesting.

With a few goodbyes and more thanks, we were back off on Icarus.

"So, what do you think of the Power Pole?" I asked.

"It's, interesting? I am not sure why Mister Korin gave it to me. Wouldn't it be better for someone stronger?"

"It might be because you're not quite as strong. We don't really need something like that, you know?"

"I guess…"

I looked down and loosened the Senzu Bean bag, looking inside. That, was certainly a few. Like, too many to have in one place.

I took a few and put a couple in each pocket. And one tied up in my belt, and a couple in my collar, and one in my wristband.

"Here," I handed back the bag, "hide a few of these in your clothes."

I assume he did as told as I was looking ahead, focused on Icarus, who was significantly slowed.

"Hey, hand me one of those," I held my hand out, and a bean was placed in my hand.

Its effect on Icarus was immediate, as he shot forward, faster than he had originally started.

We were closing in on getting back quickly and just when I started thinking about being concerned about being seen I sensed the three henchmen behind me.

"Going somewhere, Monkey Child?" The pretty one(TM) asked.

"Yep. That figures."

The same one pointed his index finger and shot a thin beam of Ki at us.

I dove to cove Ocari, and even coating my hand in Ki to deflect it left a burning feeling on my hand. Better than getting hit though.

"Icarus, leave. Ocari you too." I shoved the Namek behind me as we now floated in mid-air. Icarus immediately did as told, flying off in a random direction. Ocari lingered.

"But-"

"No time to argue," I looked back, visibly looking down at the bag of Senzu Beans. Ocari followed my gaze and looked down, getting the hint.

Unfortunately, pretty boy also noticed, and I couldn't react in time to keep him from disintegrating the bag with a small Ki blast, "Oh, was that important? I sure hope it was."

I grimaced at the sheer waste of precious Senzu Beans.

"Doesn't matter. Just go," I ordered. Ocari blinked, stayed for a few seconds too long still, before finally leaving, flying back to where Goku and Krillin were.

The, reptilian? Turtle-like? One decided to try and follow.

"HEY!" I immediately turned and shot a Ki blast, nailing him directly in the back, "your fight's here buddy."

The one of questionable description turned, enraged, and now slightly injured, immediately turning back and swiping in attack.

If I were fighting only one of these guys? I'd probably be relatively fine. Maybe not easy, but I'd manage. Two? I'd be pretty concerned. All three? I was basically just being battered around. I'd defend against one of their attacks, only to get hit by another. It didn't matter if I tried to keep track, they'd always end up with one of them behind me.

It was all I could to avoid getting grabbed, particularly by the bulky guy, as that'd been all but a death sentence.

The bulky one batted me crashing into the ground.

I rose to my feet only to nearly stumble back down. My vision blurred as I looked forward.

"Yeah, that'll do."

I raised my wrist to my mouth and tore the hidden Senzu Bean free.

The effect was immediate, as expected. Also tasted green.

The three took a moment to be surprised at my recovery, which I took as an invitation to punch the bulky guy in the face, sending him flying back, leaving a trail in the rocks behind him.

"That. Was for touching my tail."

"What!?" The pretty boy exclaimed, pushing a button on his scouter, "what happened? You were not this strong a moment ago!"

"Oh, well you see I just read my Sayain handbook, and turns out, when a Sayain is severely injured and heals, we get a power boost."

"..That doesn't seem very fair."

I shot forward stopping just in front of his face.

"It ain't."

I kicked him back, sending him flying in the opposite direction.

Bulky guy had recovered by then and was once again on be, joined by the third one, that I'm not even gonna try to describe anymore, buying enough time for pretty boy to also rejoin the fight.

This time, fighting all three, while still not easy, at least was manageable. This time it was them who had to focus on not getting hit too hard, while I just had to worry about being surrounded.

I stopped, shooting back to reorient myself and check where everyone was.

Pretty boy. Bulky guy. Where was-

My thoughts were interrupted by a Ki blast behind me.

I turned to see the third one behind me, falling from the sky.

I turned a bit more to see it was Piccolo who fired the blast.

"I was fine. I had it," I defended myself. And, I had over a half dozen more Senzu Beans to get it right.

"Yeah sure. Really looked like it. Now let's see, all these minion groups are the same. Pretty one. Stupid one. One with weird powers."

"Well I appreciate that, but I'd say I'm more handsome than pretty," the bulky one said.

"And my powers are not that weird," the pretty one said.

And the third one was assumably too injured to say much more than a few grunts of pain as he rose back up into the sky.

Piccolo and I glanced at each other.

"Ok I changed my mind. You're all the stupid one." He decided.

The fight was borderline fun now that the threat of being surrounded was gone. Piccolo took the bulky one and the third one which left me with pretty boy.

His arm lit up surrounded by Ki, but he didn't fire it, instead shooting forward and swiping at me. I dodged but the Ki left a slice over my cheek.

A blade of Ki? That was neat.

I grinned at the possibility of an actual sword fight.

And so, I drew my sword. Any lack of actual sword training was made up for in my being now faster and stronger than pretty boy.

I was more imitating what I've seen in movies and shows but like, that was the fun of it.

As a parried and deflected his strikes pretty boy got more frustrated and angry as I pretty obviously wasn't taking this seriously anymore.

"WHY YOU LITTLE-" he raised his arm in a wide swing, but it was much slower and I dodged with little effort.

His arm was out and unguarded for only a moment. I didn't even think about it. I swung my sword. And then he didn't have much of an arm under the elbow.

I blinked.

I grimaced and refused to make eye contact with the stump as the pretty boy curled over in on himself in pain.

"You- you little- that- that wasn't fair!"

"You pick a fight with an eight-year-old and complain about fair? Last time I checked you were here to destroy the planet, so, not really a concern of mine," I smirked as I swung my sword over my shoulder.

Of course, now I wasn't quite sure what to do. I mean sure, I was supposed to continue the fight, but this guy was hardly fighting capable and I'm not Vegeta. I can't just fight a guy while he's down.

"Return to the ship Salza. I'll handle this."

It seems my choice was made for me as the real enemy arrived.

"Lord Cooler! I-"

"Enough. Go find the rest of your arm and see what the medics can do with it."

"Yes- yes sir!"

And I was left alone with Frieza 2.0. Well, obviously the more considerate to his own men version of Frieza at least.

"Now then. You have a single opportunity to tell me where the Sayain who killed Frieza is."

"…yeah, sorry. You just missed him. He should be back in like, two years if you want to wait?" I floated backwards, slowly. Afraid that any sudden movement might set him off but also not wanting to be anywhere near-

"Gohan!" Ok, guess we're doing things now.

Piccolo rushed forwards, stopping when he registered that new guy(TM) just so happened to look like Frieza.

"Oh look. Maybe this one will know where Frieza's killer is," Cooler drawled.

Piccolo paused, registering that this obviously is not Frieza.

"No not a clue. Why do you ask?" He asked, now cautious because this guy was much stronger than the other three.

"Well, I couldn't care less that Frieza is dead, but, I must take revenge as to preserve our Father's name."

'…do you think he knows his father is also dead?' I asked very much telepathically.

'Do not say that out loud."

"However, if you cannot lead me to the killer, you are useless to me," before I could blink a beam was shot through Piccolo's chest.

I squeaked.

The sword was still in my hand, on instinct I swung it at Cooler, who didn't even turn as he grabbed it. His eyes slid over to me as he snapped it in half.

"…yeah…I'm not sure what I expected to happen…"

I floated back cautious again, before quickly summoning Ki in either hand, firing them off to collide on Cooler, not anywhere near strong enough to hurt him but creating a large cloud of smoke good enough for a cover.

I dove down to where Piccolo fell.

Finding him rather quickly, I hooked his arm over my shoulders and weaved through the trees, away from the fight.

I didn't see Cooler wearing a scouter, but I still kept my Ki as low as possible, just in case.

I flinched but stayed airborne as the forest behind me vaporized in a Ki blast.

Cooler didn't even bother to double-check the land below him as I sensed his energy fly back to where Goku was left.

By now Ocari had to have given him one of the Senzu Beans he hid away. That was his fight now.

Sure enough, when I extended my senses far enough, I could feel the distinct sunshine feel of Goku's Ki, back up to where I'd expect.

I landed, surely far enough from the fight by now. The fight between Goku and Cooler, it was very one-sided. Cooler seemed stronger than ever. I can only assume that was a result of his fifth form.

I refocused on Piccolo, sensing through Cooler's Ki now radiating through the landscapes to make sure Piccolo was alright.

Sure enough, his Ki was flickering a bit but otherwise still strong.

I fed him one of my spare Senzu Beans just to be safe.

Piccolo sat back up with little issue, but I had no time to be glad-

Something snapped.

My head shot right back to the fight.

Burning. Something was burning. It was too bright.

I had to cut off my Ki sense completely to keep from getting overwhelmed, but still, I felt something through my blood.

I-

I floated up.

I had to-

I had to see it.

I flew slowly. Never going above the tree line. Piccolo was- somewhere. He didn't necessarily follow me but he's somewhere in the area.

I got close enough to peek through the trees to see Cooler being blasted away, his Frieza planet-destroying attack being caught with him as he went.

But that was not what my attention was caught on. No. That would be the golden hair of the person who blasted him away.

Goku stood with torn clothes and determination as Cooler was no more. His golden hair fading back into black as he collapsed backwards.

But that didn't matter, I'd seen it. I knew it'd been there.

I collapsed myself. I was so tired.

But it was worth it. Goku was finally a Super Sayain.

Only two years late.

I laughed to myself.

Not that I was worried. Nope. Not at all.

Man I was tired.

Pretty boy showed back up to do whatever threatening whatever, but was shot down by Piccolo without an issue.

It was worth it. But I don't think I'll go on any more camping trips anytime soon.

I walked into Capsule Corp for a reason, and then immediately got distracted when I felt Raditz's energy in the lab.

"Hey Radish!" I slid the door open, which resulted in a slight slam. I'm, gonna blame the new power boost for that one.

Raditz cursed as I obviously surprised him, fumbling and hiding some kind of wrench behind him.

…ok then.

"Hey, I got some extra Senzu Beans! Wanna take advantage of some Zenkai abuse to catch you up?"

"Hell no."

"Come on, Senzu Beans take away any actual risk!"

"First of all, there's no way that's actually a thing, second, no!"

"Well, you're sitting at about 15000, and I just passed two mil, soooo…"

"No the fuck you did not."

I leveled my gaze with Raditz, fighting to keep a grin off my face. Slowly, almost fearfully, he raised a hand to his scouter.

He pushed the button.

"Every day that you or your father continue to live is a scourge to my existence. It quite literally would have been better if you just left me dead."

"Love you to Radish!"

Raditz turned around as if to ignore me.

"So about that Zenkai abuse-"

"I said no."

"Well you're not exactly catching up fast-"

"I! Am stronger than my father ever was! I am stronger than the King! That is far more than I should have ever been expected-" Raditz cut himself off, opting to glare at a wall instead.

"…"

"… well you're still weaker than anyone else in the group other than Chiaotzu, and considering Dad's recent 50 times Super Sayain boost-"

"Of course! Why not?"

"You, should probably start taking training a bit more seriously."

"Is that the only reason you're here?"

"Huh? Oh no. I wanted to ask Nappa something."

"Then get-" he shooed me off, which I took as a sign that he was plenty done with this conversation.

Still, I paused just before I exited the room.

"You don't have to, you know."

"What?"

"Train, fight, any of it. You don't have to. Sure you won't be as strong, but, if you don't want to fight, there's no one forcing you."

"I- I am a Sayain Warrior! Of course I am going to fight!"

"Ok, just saying."

I opened the door once again.

"Where'd you get the 50 number?"

"Huh?"

You said a 50 times super Sayain boost. Where'd you get the 50?"

"Oh uh, it sounded good?"

"…"

"…"

"..you're definitely lying but I don't know how so I'm going to pretend like I believe you."

"Works for me! I'm gonna go talk to Nappa now!"

I quickly retreated.

I followed my sense of Nappa's loud and brash energy until it lead me to a room that I assume was his.

I very much knocked before entering.

"Hey aren't you usually in the Gravity Room around this time?"

"Vegeta blew it up. Himself too. Waiting for the doc and Bulma to fix 'em."

"Huh? Oh," right the VegeBul set up. Well, I guess that explains why Vegeta didn't pop up during the whole Cooler thing.

"How do you get rid of the stupid tail weakness?"

Nappa looked up and grinned, "well that's an easy one."

He stood up and before I could react he grabbed me by the tail.

I definitely did not squeak as sparks of pain shot up my spine for the second time in a few days.

I shot out a small ki blast which forced Nappa to put me down. I stumbled back and glared.

"You just gotta force yourself to get used to it. It'll always be more sensitive than most other areas, but it can be manageable with practice," he elaborated, shrugging. Pretending like there wasn't obvious amusement in his eyes.

Ugh. Maybe it'd be better if I just, didn't.

"Or you can just cut off the tail. It's surprisingly not terrible to not have."

I glared even more.

Fine, I'll do the stupid tail training whatever.

Far away from Nappa.

As I left I called back a final warning, "if I learn there's an easier way to do this I'm definitely gonna kill you!" I shouted as if he still wasn't much stronger than I was.

Yeah so, I've been interpreting Cooler's Revenge as taking place in a timeline where Goku hadn't achieved Super Sayain since I can't come up with another excuse as to why he didn't go Super Sayain earlier in the movie, and why he had such difficulty with it. The explanation that he was still new to using it would have been fine if he didn't use it so easily with Trunks as soon as he got back to Earth

Like I said earlier, there won't be an update next week, but we'll be back as scheduled the following week
