Summary: After befriending the once-human creatures in an abandoned underground Foot Genetics Lab, the Lotus Ninjas join them and the Turtles on a journey deeper into the Earth and come across the ruins of a once-great subterranean city.

After Donatello and Rafaela's disappearance, the mindless mutant monsters drew closer to the Turtles, the Lotus Ninjas, and their four mutant allies. But the Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas are still wondering where Donnie and Ella went.

"Donnie! No! No!" Raph shouted. He sped towards the opening door. "Donnie? Ella? Ella!"

"Raph, get away from there!" Leo warned.

The mindless mutant monsters roared and growled as they began moving closer to the heroes and their mutant allies. Raph suddenly heard a whirring sound. When he turned around, he saw a glowing bola spinning in his direction. Raph ducked down to avoid the glowing bola that flew right past him.

Venetta moved forward to protect Lee, Donna, and Ellie just as one of the mindless mutant monsters turned its attention to the mystic kunoichis. But another glowing bola came spinning out of nowhere and instantly striked Venetta, making her vanish out of sight.

"Venetta!" Lee and Ellie shouted.

Then, the insectoid-like mutant monster leaped on top of Razorfist in an attempt to attack him. The third glowing bola came whirling through the cavern, striking both mutant monsters and making them disappear.

"Razorfist!" Leo shouted.

"Leo, what the shell's going on?" Mikey questioned.

The scorpion-like mutant monster proceeded to attack Stonebiter, causing them to wrestle on the ground. Quarry ran to help Stonebiter, but the scorpion-like mutant monster knocked Quarry away with his tail. The fourth glowing bola twirled towards the fighting mutant monsters. Just as the scorpion-like mutant monster pushed Stonebiter back, the glowing bola touched Stonebiter upon contact and made him vanish.

"Stonebiter, no!" Raph shouted.

"Come on, you ugly troll! show me what you got!" Mikey taunted as he twirled his nunchucks.

The scorpion-like mutant monster rose upwards and roared piercingly.

"Okay, I'm impressed." Mikey said.

The Turtles, the Lotus Ninjas, and Quarry backed away from the two remaining mutant monsters towards the dark tunnel.

"Okay, now what?" Ellie asked the others.

"Come on, whatever's through this door can't be worse than this." Leo said.

"I hope those don't become famous last words, Leo." Mikey said as he and Raph backed away into the tunnel.

Ellie and Donna also backed away into the tunnel.

"Quarry, Lee, go!" Leo ordered.

The two mindless mutant monsters started running forward, making Lee and Quarry turned around to flee.

Leo grabbed the crystal from the activation slot and quickly jumped through the closing heavy door, leaving the two mindless mutant monsters trapped from the other side. From the other side, the two mindless mutant monsters tried to ram and break through the door with no effort.

Inside the tunnel, Quarry and his allies turned to see a bright glowing light emitting from the opening. They started to approach towards the brightening opening.

"Be ready for anything." Leo said.

Mikey, Ellie, Donna, Raph, Quarry, Lee, and Leo then became utterly stunned when they came upon a large city surrounded by a river of lava.

"We shouldn't be here. This is…this is a necropolis, a City of the Dead." Quarry said with a panicked face.

"You know, if there's one thing that creeps me out more than monster movies, it's a City of the Dead." Mikey said.

"True that." Ellie agreed.

"Listen and listen good, we're not leaving." Lee said firmly. "Not now, not never."

"Whatever's haunting this place has made the mistake of snatching two of ours." Leo said.

Leo turned around and walked off.

"And we'll level this whole city just to get them back." Raph growled.

Raph slashed through the piece of a small rock formation with his sai.

"Uh, excuse me. But, is your sister okay?" Quarry asked Ellie and Lee.

Ellie and Lee turned their heads to Donna, who was staring at the underground city with glowing bluish-white eyes.

"Donna?" Ellie called out.

Donna instantly shook her head as her eyes returned back to normal out of her trance.

"Huh?" Donna asked with a groan, placing her hand on her hand.

"Another daze?" Lee asked.

"Yeah." Donna replied. "I could feel myself growing stronger here, which means the crystals should be somewhere in that city."

Then, Leo came out from behind the rocky corner.

"Hey, guys. I found a way down there." Leo called out.

"Don't you always?" Mikey murmured.

Mikey, Quarry, Lee, Ellie, Donna, and Raph rounded the corner to see Leo standing next to a tram postponed from the rocky cliff. The transportation railway vehicle is attached to a crystal cable that stretched out over the lava and connected to the underground city.

"Uh, maybe we better find us a different ride." Raph said nervously.

"What are you talking about? It's fine." Leo assured.

When Leo took a step onto the tram's ramp, it started to creak and shift.

"You were saying?" Ellie said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Okay, maybe not so fine." Leo said.

Back in the tunnel, two shadowy figures approached the closed door. It was the same mysterious man from Donna's dream. He wore a hooded cloak and an oval-shaped crystal tied to a cord hanging around his neck. Next to him was the same preteen girl that is also from Donna's dream. She also wore a hooded cloak and a small oval-shaped crystal attached to a ring on her index finger.

The two hooded figures lifted the crystals, causing them to shine brightly. The brightening lights was strong enough to attract the two mindless mutant monsters. The heavy door suddenly opened itself just before the hooded moved back into the shadows. Then, the two mindless mutant monsters ran into the tunnel.

Meanwhile, Leo kept trying to convince his brothers and his allies that the tram is perfectly safe.

"Look, see?" Leo said.

Leo walked up the ramp, which made the tram bounce slightly.

"Leo, don't!" Raph warned.

"There's no way I'm getting in that thing." Mikey said.

"It'll hold us." Leo reassured. As he walked inside, he caught the sight of a control panel and approached to it. "And it looks like our crystal will power it."

"Leo, I have to agree with your brother on this one!" Lee called out. "There's no way I'm going in there because in case you haven't noticed, there's actual lava right below us!"

The roaring sound of a monstrous growling caught everyone's attention. They all turned around and spotted the two mindless mutant monsters charging their way towards them.

"I take that back! I'm safe in the tram!" Lee shouted quickly.

"Same." Donna and Ellie agreed.

Lee, Donna, Ellie, Mikey, Raph, and Quarry ran straight inside the tram.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Raph yelled.

"Go, go, go!" Mikey shouted.

Leo jammed the crystal into the control panel, starting up the tram once the entry ramp closed itself. Before the mindless mutant monsters reach it, the tram started moving forward. But the mindless mutant monsters managed to leap off the cliff and onto the top of the tram, causing the railway vehicle to shake violently halfway to the underground city. The scorpion mutant monster jabbed his giant claw through the roof of the tram while the cyclops mutant monster pounded the roof with his fists and stomped his foot to the roof.

Two hooded figures stood on the cliff, watching the mindless mutant monsters trying to wreck the tram. The male hooded figure then threw two glowing crystal bolas at two large mutants, encircling around them and zapping them away.

Unfortunately, the crystal cable snapped in two, causing the tram to fall towards the lava below.

"We're going down!" Quarry shouted.

"Not for long!" Ellie shouted back.

Ellie manipulated the wind and focused a significant number of wind streams in a single place. Once the wind streams are gathered, the tram landed on top of the wind streams.

"Nice save, Ellie." Lee said with a thumb-up.

"My hero." Mikey smiled as he hugged Ellie.

"Oh, Mikey." Ellie smiled back with a blush.

Ellie controlled the wind streams and directed it to land the tram safely on the ground below. The Turtles, the Lotus Ninjas, and Quarry exited out of the tram.

"That was incredible." Quarry said to Ellie in awe.

"Oh, she's definitely incredible." Mikey said, moving close to Ellie with a flirtatious smile.

"It's what I do best." Ellie grinned with a blush.

The Turtles, the Lotus Ninjas, and Quarry proceeded to walk towards the opening that will lead them straight into the city. Leo looked up at the symbols engraved into the walls.

"Those same symbols again. Just like back at our place." Leo murmured.

"And by the looks of it all, this city has been down here a very long time." Raph said.

"Fascinating." Donna muttered as she stared at the symbols.

"Creepy." Mikey spoke in a singing tone.

"Hey guys!" Leo called out. He stood on a flying scooter. "I found some transportation."

"Of course." Mikey complained.

Leo jammed the crystal into the scooter and it lifted him off. Raph and Mikey found three flying scooters that has crystals already attached. They hopped on them as Quarry rode behind Mikey, Donna rode behind Raph, and Lee rode behind Leo. Only Ellie magically conjured a medium-sized cloud to ride on. Then, they searched through the city.

"This place is incredible." Donna breathed in awe.

"Whoever built this place, they're definitely the same people who built our lair." Leo said.

"Whatever. Let's just focus on finding Don and Ella." Raph retorted. "We can go sightseeing later."

From above, two cloaked figures stood stands on a ledge as they watched the mutants and the mystics undetected. But Lee suddenly perceived the cloaked figures' auras and signaled Leo to look up.

"Hold up!" Leo called out.

Raph, Mikey, and Ellie stopped riding.

"What's wrong, Leo?" Ellie asked.

"I think I saw something." Leo informed.

Leo flew towards a large building and into the dark tunnel with Lee.

"Leo, wait up!" Mikey called out.

Mikey, Ellie, and Raph flew after Leo and Lee up to the tunnel entrance

"Lee! Leo!" Ellie called.

"I'm going in!" Raph said.

Raph hopped off his scooter. Before he can go any further, a blinding flash of bright light caused the mutant turtle to cover his eyes. After the light faded, he immediately ran inside the tunnel.

"Leo!" Raph shouted.

Raph, Donna, Ellie, and Mikey entered inside the dark tunnel together. Raph and Mikey pulled out their ninja weapons out while Donna and Ellie summoned their magic from their hands. They all gasped when they spotted Leonardo's scooter overturned. But there was no sight of Leo nor Lee.

"Leo! Leo!" Raph cried out with a sad look on his face.

Raph moved forward, but Mikey grabbed his arm.

"I'm sorry, Raph. But he's gone just like the others." Mikey said.

"And Lee." Ellie said sadly. "I can't believe she's gone."

Donna placed her comforting hand on Ellie's shoulder.

Raph, Donna, Ellie, and Mikey headed back to their scooters, but Quarry had suddenly disappeared.

"Quarry?" Mikey asked.

"Where did he go?" Donna wondered.

Raph, Donna, Ellie, and Mikey stood ready for any signs of trouble. A moaning sound caught everyone's attention. They all jumped and screamed as they turned around to see Quarry stepping out of the shadows.

"Wait, it's just me." Quarry said.

"What're you doing lurking around like that?" Raph shouted.

"Hiding, you…you left me alone." Quarry replied.

"We're sorry about that. We just went out to look for Leo and Lee." Donna said calmly.

"Man, mutate some backbone, would you?" Mikey asked.

"Mikey." Ellie said as she elbowed Mikey's arm.

"There it is!" Quarry shouted.

Mikey screamed effeminately.

"You were saying?" Ellie retorted to Mikey.

Raph, Donna, Ellie, Mikey, and Quarry turned their heads to the two cloaked figures standing farther down the path. The mysterious cloaked figures stared at the group before turning around and disappearing into the fog.

"That thing is mine." Raph said.

Raph jumped onto his scooter and took off after the cloaked figures.

"Hey, Raph, wait!" Ellie shouted.

Ellie hopped back on her cloud and followed after Raph.

As soon as Raph and Ellie are out of sight, a flash of bright light appeared and both the mutant turtle and the mystic kunoichi vanished.

"Raph?" Mikey called out. "Ellie?"

"Uh, no! They're gone too!" Donna exclaimed.

As Mikey and Donna turned around, only the mutant turtle screamed when they noticed that Quarry is gone. Mikey gave out an irritated look on his face.

"I got him." Donna said.

Donna reached back into the shadows as she grabbed Quarry's wrist and pulled him out.

Mikey and Quarry hopped on the scooter while Donna swept both hands through the air and levitated a large hunk of pavement from the ground before backflipping onto it. They rode their way towards the direction that Raph and Ellie have gone. Once they got there, they only found Raph's scooter abandoned on the ground.

"This is not good." Donna said in worry.

Mikey and Donna got off their ride as they began investigating Raph's abandoned scooter. When they turned back around, Quarry stood behind them. That made Mikey scream effeminately and Donna gasp in surprise.

"I warned you, I warned you all, evil dwells in this dead city. We'll never get out alive!" Quarry exclaimed with a panicked face.

Mikey slapped Quarry across the face.

"Look, if there's gonna be any hysterics, I'll have 'em!" Mikey said.

Donna then looked up with wide, alarming eyes.

"Uh, Mikey." Donna asked as she pointed her finger upwards.

Mikey followed Donna's pointing finger and saw two cloaked figures standing on a ledge of the building high above them. He quickly hopped on the scooter and raced off, but he then went back to get Quarry and drove off. Donna backflipped back on the floating rock and followed after him. They flew their way toward the cloaked figures, but Quarry quickly became frightened when Mikey and Donna flew straight up the side of a building.

"No! No! Wait! Wait!" Quarry shouted. "No, no, I can't! No!"

Quarry suddenly jumped off and landed on an elevated walkway. He groaned, but he looked up to see Mikey and Donna still flying straight up to the cloaked figures. But Mikey sped right past the cloaked figures. He looked ahead and noticed that he is heading right towards the side of a pillar.

Donna took notice and zoomed next to Mikey, who jumped over the floating rock. Then, the scooter crashed into the pillar.

"Thanks for the save." Mikey said.

"No problem." Donna said.

Quarry looked down at Mikey and Donna. He then noticed two cloaked figures walking up towards him. The tall cloaked figure pulled out the crystal bolas and started swinging his weapon, which instantly made Quarry scared. As Quarry ran away, the tall cloaked figure throws the bolas at the fleeing mutant. The crystal bolas caught Quarry mid-stride, making him scream while he disappeared in a flash of bright light.

Suddenly, Quarry immediately found himself on a raised circular platform. A shield started rising up from the platform and enclosed Quarry. Soon after, liquid started to fill up the container.

"No!" Quarry pleaded.

But it was too late. The strange liquid instantly frozen Quarry once the shield descended away.

All Quarry can do is scream helplessly.

Outside, the echo of Quarry's scream caught Mikey and Donna's earlobes.

"Quarry?" Mikey called out.

"They've captured him just like the others!" Donna exclaimed.

Mikey and Donna looked around until they spotted the tower that stood in the center of the city.

"Okay. I've seen before, in that freaky dream I had." Mikey said.

"Me too." Donna said.

"Really?" Mikey asked curiously.

"It's a long story to explain, but I do believe the disappearances of our siblings and the mutants are coming from that tower." Donna said.

"Creepy black tower, here we come!" Mikey said.

Mikey and Donna started running towards the tower.

Once Mikey and Donna made their way into the tower, they entered inside and found themselves in a strange room. As they turned a corner, they came to a quick stop when they spotted a frozen Venetta trapped inside the chrysalis.

"Uh no. Venetta." Donna said as she placed her hand on the chrysalis encasement.

Mikey then walked over to find a frozen scorpion-like mutant.

"Razorfist?" Mikey said. He turned around and found a frozen rock-like mutant with a surprise look on his face. "Oh, no. Stonebiter!"

Donna walked past the other frozen monsters until she suddenly spotted a very familiar frozen mutant.

"Mikey, I've found Quarry." Donna said.

Mikey walked up next to Donna and stared at Quarry trapped in frozen solid.

"Aw, Quarry." Mikey said.

Mikey knelt down as he reached his hand out to touch the crystal that is attached onto the panel.

"No!"

Mikey and Donna turned their heads to a nearby staircase, where two cloaked figures are standing on.

"Please, do not touch that." The tall cloaked figure said. He walked his way down the stairs. "I am not finished with him."

The petite cloaked figure followed down the stairs. Once the two cloaked figures reached to the last step of the stairs, Mikey's eyes narrowed.

"Yeah, you are!" Mikey shouted.

Mikey ran over at the tall cloaked figure and performed a handspring. He then kicked the tall cloaked figure down to the ground. Before the petite cloaked figure could intervene, Donna lifted her hands and wrapped her with thick vines, immobilizing the petite cloaked figure in her position.

Mikey approached the tall cloaked figure and pulled back his hood that revealed a pale blond man with pink eyes. Donna also moved toward the petite cloaked figure and removed her hood to reveal a young preteen girl with light blue hair and light blue eyes. Donna gasped as she immediately recognized the child from her dream, but she noticed that the mysterious man looked familiar as well.

"Wait a minute. You and him are from my dream!" Donna exclaimed.

"I knew you made it here at least." The pale-skinned child spoke with a smile. "I'm Nuala, by the way."

The pale-skinned man rolled over to look up at Mikey, who grabbed him by the front of his hood.

"Okay, baldy, where are my brothers and Donna's sisters?" Mikey demanded.

"Mikey! Donna!"

Mikey and Donna looked over to see all three of his missing brothers coming from an unknown room.

"About time you got here. We've been waiting for you." Leo said.

Mikey and Donna exchanged utter confusion before looking back at their siblings.

"Huh?" Mikey and Donna said.

The High Mage and Nuala escorted the Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas into a large chamber.

"We had this guy figured all wrong." Leo said.

"Yeah. He saw how the Foot had mutated Quarry and the others and he just wants to turn them back to normal." Donnie said.

Lee looked at the High Mage with narrow, suspicious eyes. She remembered when she and Leo got transported to the High Mage, she couldn't precisely read his aura, which leaves her unable to detect if he's pure or not.

"As we speak, the power of the caverns crystal moon is infusing them with regenerative energy." The High Mage explained, pointing his fingers to the large crystals hanging above the city. "Their bodies are being genetically rebuilt inside each chrysalis. Within minutes, the last of them will be restored to their original human form."

"Thank you so much for clearing that up." Mikey said insincerely. He whispered quietly to Leo. "He's lying."

"Michelangelo, you're entirely safe, we assure you. This city was built by an ancient peace-loving race." Nuala assured. "Of which my brother and I are the remaining survivors."

The High Mage then grasped his crystal hanging from the cord around his neck. The Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas turned their heads to a glowing larger crystal mounted on a pedestal near them.

The Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas walked over to stand in front of the large glowing crystal. They collectively watched as it started to display a flashback as a viewing screen.

"We have lived within the Earth for many millennia, spiritually bonded with it. It was a symbiosis that had always sustained us." The High Mage explained.

The viewing crystal showed the glorious, advanced city and its inhabitants.

"For we were unable to endure the harshness of the outside world." The High Mage continued.

The viewing crystal then showed several mages observing humans through a large crystal.

"Then, we detected life stirring on the surface." The High Mage added. "The new life forms fascinated us, so we began studying them from an outpost. The same outpost that most recently became your home. As the years passed, however, it soon became evident that our own time was drawing to a close."

The viewing crystal displayed the mages slowly disappearing one by one. It then substituted back to the Y'Lyntian city, where the inhabitants also began to vanish all at once.

"Yes, the Earth had cast its vote and our entire race faced extinction." The High Mage concluded.

The viewing crystal powered off. The Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas looked back at the High Mage and Nuala.

"They're all gone now." Nuala said sadly.

"How long has it been?" Donnie asked.

"Long enough to make this a very lonely existence." The High Mage answered

"But there's one thing I don't understand. How am I connected to the crystals?" Donna asked inquisitively.

"After me and my brother have been alone in this city for many years, we discovered that the crystals are reacting almost supernaturally." Nuala answered. "When I witnessed you using your powers against that flower monster, I've figured that the crystal was bonding to you. Like you and the crystal are one."

"That…that actually makes sense." Donnie explained. He turned to Donna. "Think about it. Your element is earth. Anything relates to that element, like rocks, metal, and even crystals, automatically pledges to you."

"So, when it bonded to me, I can feel its power enhancing mine." Donna said. "Just like back at the fortress and the tunnels."

"Precisely." Nuala said.

The High Mage then walked his way towards the door.

"Which is why I want to return those people back to normal. Only with your help, they can help me and my sister repopulate the city." The High Mage said.

"Well, I wouldn't count on that." Leo said. "They all have lives waiting for them on the surface. Families, friends."

"No!" The High Mage shouted. "They will stay! They must!"

"Brother!" Nuala said firmly.

"Well, I'm sure they'll be grateful, but…" Leo said.

"I refuse to let this city die!" The High Mage refused. "There's so much to pass on! They must stay and so must you!"

"Say what now?" Ellie said in shock.

"Uh, I'm afraid that being, uh, all alone down here for so long has driven this guy slightly around the bend" Donnie whispered to his brothers and his mystic friends.

"Yup. Creep to the e." Donna muttered.

"That would explain why his aura is somewhat juggled when I sensed him." Lee added in a whisper. "At least, his sister's aura is 100% pure."

"We, um, appreciate the invitation to live here with you in this wondrous world of yours, but…" Leo spoke.

"Yes. It is wondrous. A world where even mutant turtles can freely walk the streets. No more lurking in sewers, no more hiding your faces. An entire city where you can finally be yourselves." The High Mage said. "And mystics can live freely without hiding their magical potential or even blend in with humanity."

"As enticing as that sounds…" Donnie spoke.

"Let me put it this way...there's no way we're relocating to this creepoid community, understand?" Raph interrupted.

"Yeah, what he said." Ella agreed. "Now, drop your silly nonsense and move on."

The High Mage glared at Raph and Ella's vocal disagreement.

"Come on, let's go release the others." Donnie said.

"Bye-bye." Mikey said to the High Mage and Nuala with a wave.

The Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas headed their way to the door. But when the High Mage grasped his crystal amulet, the door instantly closed in front of them.

"Trust me, you do not want to do this." Leo warned.

"No, heed my offer! For my bond with the Earth is strong!" The High Mage said.

"Brother, wait!" Nuala cried, running up to the High Mage and grabbing his arm with a pleading face. "Think about this! Leonardo's right. I love our city just as much as you do. I do wish to restore back the way it once was, but we can't just force them stay and let the mutant we captured forget their humanity! Please, don't do this! We'll find another way!"

The High Mage looked at Nuala with a sad look on his face. But he closed his eyes as he already made up his mind. The High Mage tossed Nuala away and proceeded on wielding the crystal's power.

The entire room started to shake. Then, a stone spire rose up through the ground and slithered its way at the Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas, who ran towards the wall and bounced off of it just before the stone spire can crush them.

Donnie rolled into a crouching position and threw his bō staff at the High Mage, but a stone tentacle rose up from the ground and bounced the bō staff off to protect its master. The stone tentacle then wrapped around Donnie and lifted him off the floor.

Leo charged towards the High Mage with his katana swords, but a piece of rock lifted up in his path on the floor and tripped him. Leo crashed into the wall and several stone tentacles slithered through the wall and wrapped around him.

Raph jumped down behind the High Mage, who quickly turned with notice. As Raph leaped towards him, the High Mage held out his hand and summoned a stone tentacle through the ground, commanding it to grab Raph's ankle. It then dragged Raph down and the ground trapped his legs and arms together, preventing him from escaping.

Mikey sprang forward at the High Mage with his feet. But when the High Mage lifted his hand, three crystal topped spears started to glow and detached themselves from the wall. They flew forward and attacked Mikey, knocking him down to the ground. Then, two stone tentacles trapped Mikey's legs and lifted him upside-down.

Ellie sprang forward at the High Mage and created a large, horizontal tornado drilling at his direction. But the stone spire rose up through the ground and protected the High Mage. Then, four stone tentacles wrapped around Ellie's arms and legs before pulling her to the wall.

Ella jumped down behind the High Mage and generated a great amount of fire from her hands as she then unleashed a large blast of flames at the High Mage, who lifted his hand and summoned several stone tentacles to wrap around Ella before lifting her up in the air.

Lee charged towards the High Mage and gathered streams of water from thin air to fashion a large fist before launching it towards him. But the High Mage lifted his hand again and summoned several stone tentacles to destroy the watery fist. The stone tentacles then slithered forward and wrapped around Lee's arms and legs before dragging her to the wall, which trapped her limbs in.

"You three possess interesting powers." The High Mage commented to Ellie, Ella, and Lee. "You should've accepted my offer when you had the chance."

The High Mage then turned his attention to Donna, who is currently on her own against him.

Donna warmed up her hands in purple energy.

Then, Nuala stood by Donna's side.

"Nuala!" The High Mage shouted in disbelief. "How could you?!"

"I'm sorry, brother. But I can let you do this." Nuala said in a sad yet firm tone.

"Then, we're no longer brother and sister." The High Mage said with narrow eyes.

The High Mage lifted his hand. Several stone tentacles wrapped all around Nuala and dragged her to the wall in place. Before Nuala could used her ring, a stone tentacle took it away from her and landed in the High Mage's hand.

"Just get his amulet!" Donnie shouted to Donna. "That's how he's controlling everything!"

"Got it!" Donna nodded. She turned to the High Mage with narrow eyes. "Besides, I don't need the crystal to control earth." Her eyes suddenly glowed bluish-white. "Unlike you, I was born with this power!"

Donna slammed her hands onto the ground and summoned two rock golems in front of her.

"Whoa…" Donnie, Leo, Raph, and Mikey said in awe.

Only Ellie, Ella, Nuala, and Lee smiled at their brainiac sister.

"She's awesome." Donnie whispered lowly with a blushing smile.

"Take him down and get the amulet!" Donna commanded.

The rock golems obeyed and charged forward. One rock golem grabbed the High Mage by wrapping its arms around tightly, leaving the other golem to reach for the crystal amulet. It grabbed the amulet, but the High Mage kicked it away from the golem's grasp and knocked the crystal amulet onto the floor.

The High Mage managed to break free and then sprinted towards the amulet, which Donna quickly took notice.

"Free the others!" Donna ordered the golem.

The rock golems obeyed and charged over to the Turtles, Nuala, and Donna's sisters.

Donna sprinted towards the amulet with a determined expression. Just as she and the High Mage both dove for the amulet, they crashed through the cracking wall and into the next chamber. The crystal amulet bounced away just for the High Mage walked over and picked it up in his clutches.

Donna stood on her knees and spotted the crystal bola lying next to her. Just as the High Mage turned around and aimed the amulet at the mystic kunoichi, Donna stood up and began spinning the crystal bola above her head.

"Time to put you on ice, pal!" Donna shouted.

Donna threw the crystal bola, sending it to wrap around the High Mage's midsection and zapping him away.

The High Mage found himself transported on a raised circular platform. The shield started rising up from the platform and encased him.

"No!" The High Mage shouted.

The strange liquid filled up and frozen the High Mage.

Soon, The Turtles, Nuala, and the three Lotus Ninjas walked into the chamber where Donna was waiting for them after her golems freed them.

"Not one for the highlight reel though. I mean, the guy wasn't evil, just lonely and who can blame him?" Mikey said.

"I'm sorry…for everything my brother was trying to do." Nuala apologized. "I didn't know…that he would..."

"It wasn't your fault." Donna said, placing her hand on Nuala's shoulder. "Your heart was in the right place." She held out her hand and gave the ring back to Nuala. "And I think this belongs to you."

"Thank you." Nuala smiled, placing her ring back into her finger.

Donatello and Raphael approached Quarry's platform.

"Okay, let's find something heavy and crack these puppies open." Raph said.

"I'll do it." Ella said, warming up her hands with fire magic.

"Actually, no blunt force required. I believe this crystal is the release." Donnie said, stopping Ella from using her flames.

Donnie turned the crystal sideways that is mounted to the base of the circular platform. The crystal glowed and smoke started rising all around to cover the frozen Quarry. The casing surrounding Quarry began to crack away, thus revealing the mutant as a naked woman with tan skin, blue neck-length hair, and blue eyes.

"Quarry?" Leo spoke.

"You're a girl!" Mikey gasped.

Mikey, Leo, Donnie, and Raph covered their eyes.

The Lotus Ninjas rolled their eyes with smiles.

"I'm…back to normal." Quarry said as she looked down at her body.

"Now, let's free Venetta." Donna said.

The Lotus Ninjas approached Venetta's platform.

Donna turned the crystal sideways that is mounted to the base of the circular platform. The crystal glowed and smoke started rising all around to cover the frozen Venetta. The casing surrounding Venetta began to crack away, thus revealing the mutant as a naked woman with pale skin, long blonde hair, and green eyes.

"Venetta is a girl too!" Mikey gasped.

Mikey, Leo, Donnie, and Raph covered their eyes again. This time, the Lotus Ninjas gave them annoyed glares.

"What? Am I…human again?" Venetta gasped in surprise as she stared at her hands. She looked down at her body and covered herself with embarrassment. "Oh my."

"Come on, let's free the others." Donnie said.

"And get them fresh clothes while we're at it." Donna added.

The Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas have finally freed the frozen mutants that all returned back human forms. Ellie, Lee, Donna, and Ella managed to conjure clothing scraps for the humans to wear for now. Then, the Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas followed Nuala and the previously mutated humans through the tunnel.

"Well, that's all of them." Donnie reported.

Suddenly, the Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas stopped when they heard a sharp gasp and a sudden scream.

"No! It can't be!" Quarry screamed.

"Uh no!" Venetta cried out.

The Turtles and the Lotus Ninjas rushed forward. They moved past the shouting humans, where they saw first human reverting back to his mutant form that only revealed his upper half. Donna lifted her hands and summoned two stone tentacles to wrap around the man before dragging him back into the Y'Lyntian tunnel, causing him to revert back into a human again.

"He…he reverted back, just as he stepped out of the cavern. Why?" Quarry questioned.

Donnie, Nuala, and Donna exchanged looks when they remembered the High Mage's explanation.

"As we speak, the power of the cavern's crystal moon is infusing them with regenerative energy." The High Mage reminded.

Everyone walked back onto the cliff ledge overlooking the city. Donnie pointed his finger up at the Crystal Moon.

"There! I think that's the cause. Remember, he said it provides regenerative energy." Donnie explained.

"Stray too far from it and it seems the effects reverse themselves." Donna added.

"Then, we can't leave his city?" Venetta asked.

"No." Nuala responded with a sad frown. "I'm sorry."

"I don't believe it. He got what he wanted after all." Quarry said grimly.

"We'll figure this all out. Don and Donna are pretty good…" Leo spoke.

"No, we can't let you stay." Quarry interrupted. She looked around at Venetta and the other humans, who nodded in agreement. "Who knows how long it'll take."

"But just taking off is not our style." Mikey objected.

"Please, you have your own lives to get back to." Quarry said.

"Believe us, if the solution is here, we'll find it." Venetta said.

"Donna and I will keep studying the crystals. We can beat this." Donnie said.

"The more we study the crystal, the better for you all to love your lives again." Donna said.

"And then, we'll be back." Leo replied.

"That's a promise." Raph said.

"Until you all return, I'll stay here with them." Nuala said. "The least I can do is help them for what my brother did with a little power of the crystal I have left."

"Thank you." Quarry and Venetta said.

In the Crete Fortress, the Lotus Ninjas sat dejectedly in a large luxurious white oval-shaped bathtub surrounded with millions of bubbles coming from high pressure jets.

"I feel bad for those people back there." Ellie murmured.

"Yeah, me too." Ella agreed.

"But remember, I still have the crystals." Donna reminded. "If I can learn and study their supernatural properties, I will be able to turn all of those peoples back to humans permanently. I also have Donnie's phone number just in case."

"You mean her boyfriend?" Ellie asked with a teasing smile.

Donna blushed hard at Ellie's words. She failed to notice the exchanging grins from Lee and Ella. Donna then glared at Ellie with a sidelong look.

"He's not my boyfriend, Ellie!" Donna snapped. She crossed her arms over her chest with a playful smirk. "Besides, you three got boyfriends before me, so let's not go there."

"Hey!" Ellie, Lee, and Ella exclaimed with blushing faces.

Ellie, Lee, and Ella playfully tackled Donna into the bubbly water, making four sisters laugh together.

Note: Sorry for not updating. I was babysitting my niece and she's quite a handful. The upcoming chapters will be slow, but I will keep updating. Be patient with me.
