Sorry for missing a week, I had a deadline. And that deadline was August 1st. Ten internet points for anyone who knows why that would be deadline to me
I've finally gotten back into Super and I started saying to a friend that I hope they redo Resurrection F like they did Battle of the Gods so I know exactly when in takes place in the timeline instead of having to figure it out and the very next episode the first scene showed Frieza lol. And without giving much context, let's just say it is very convenient for me that it takes place so early in the timeline. Like, I was actually worried that it'd be too far into the series, and I'd have to rush or manipulate a few things for a, certain plot point of mine. Even better that it's around the same time as a semi relevant plot point in the show itself
Also, I have figured out the perfect Day/Side job for SIGohan in that same time period. Not gonna say what it is of course, especially since I haven't even set up the joke yet
Also, Apparently, my dad wants to go on a road trip with me for three weeks, tomorrow, and he has planned this completely last minute. So, I'm not completely sure if I'll be able to keep up updates in that time. Worst case scenario I'll steal my mom's ipad which I checked, and I can update off it, but I don't know if I'll be able to edit properly so there might be even more typos than usual.
But hey! Good news! I now have a proper, recent, reference for frustrated rage, because it's apparently outrageous for Me to have any complications with the three week road trip in less than two days.
thewittywhy: Lol yeah. Making fun of characters is fun.
Clover actually existed as a character before I'd even decided to bring Raditz back, I still have a bunch of sketches in my old textbooks from the tax class I was taking last year
And of course, what's to come we shall see
LadyKariVadas: Thanks ^.^ and yeah, making fun of characters is fun lol
Nappa-
Nappa didn't know what to think.
To be honest, the Androids were now the last thing on his mind. Didn't seem like it was as much of a big deal now anyway, if they weren't completely world-ending, just gotta keep them away from Kakarot. At least while he was dying.
So, he felt find to push that aside for the much more pressing matter.
He, he had a daughter. Was going to have one. Had one, in the form of this time traveler.
The half cautious, half confused "congratulations" from Krillin didn't help much.
He, never put much thought into having an heir after Planet Vegeta was destroyed. Theoretically, of course he would want one, to further what little remained of the Sayain race, he just figured, that if it ever did happen, he'd roll with it like everything else.
He knew, technically, that it was a possibility, he hasn't exactly been celibate since arriving to this planet, but he always took whatever precautions his partner requested and didn't think much further on it.
He never actively thought about having his own kids, but now he had one. A daughter. A beautiful little warrior who was a Super Sayain even!
Who couldn't even seem to look at him.
He didn't know why. He didn't think he's done anything since she'd arrived that would put her off.
Well, at least the other time traveler woman seemed like a well enough mentor figure for her. There was something vaguely familiar about the woman, but Nappa couldn't put his finger on it so he decided not to dwell on it. Raditz would probably tell him when he figured it out anyway.
Maybe, maybe because of how Vegeta's acted toward the Future Prince? Maybe she assumed he'd be the same way.
Well, obviously not! And he'll be sure to make that clear when he gets to speak to her.
…
"Hey, how long is that medicine you gave Goku supposed to take?" Krillin asked, flying up to catch up with the Future trio.
"Kinda depends. In most cases, it'd be about ten days or so, but Goku's weird, so, might be faster than that, or it may be longer. Adapting medicine to work with Sayain genes is apparently difficult, according to Bulma," -she- said.
"Huh, you kinda talk like you know- or knew him."
-She- glanced back before focusing forward, "I met him a couple times, but most of what I know is anecdotal really."
"So, hide him for ten days? We should be able to manage that, right? And then, even if we're not able to beat the Androids, they seemed like they could be reasoned with. I mean, they didn't kill us, and they're treating finding Goku like a game so, they might be satisfied with beating him- if it comes to that. Maybe Goku is stronger, and we don't even have to worry about it," Krillin rambled on.
"I, don't think I can believe that the Androids are anything but evil. The timeline couldn't have changed that much, why would Goku not dying have made them less deadly? If anything Gero should have made them worse because of that," Trunks insisted.
"Yeah, we already know that. They're stronger. Maybe Gero focused on that and forgot to make them super evil? I mean, we are still alive, makes no sense for them not to just kill us," Clover shrugged.
"Well- maybe they're planning something else then. Maybe, they just didn't want to kill us yet so they could "have fun" fighting us again. Maybe-"
"They beat us pretty easily for that to be considered fun. And The ones who didn't fight weren't beat up at all."
"Maybe- I don't know. But they're up to something. They have to be."
"Enough you two," -she- cut in, "there's no point speculating when we don't have all the information. Until we know otherwise we should assume that they are both super evil and that they are benign and plan for both scenarios."
"Like Schrodinger's cat," I said then cringed because that just sounded like I was trying to sound smart too or something.
At least -she- didn't call me out on it, "right," was all that she said.
The flight fell silent. Tien split off with Chiaotzu, saying something about training.
I glanced around somewhat awkwardly until my eyes landed on Krillin. I smirked.
"Hey, just out of curiosity, what exactly is the relationship between Seventeen and Eighteen?"
-She- glanced back, lips quirking up when she noticed Krillin's attention peaked, "oh them? Siblings I think. Why do you ask?"
"Oh no reason, just curious."
"Of course."
It didn't take much longer to get home, the Capsule House standing out in the otherwise remote landscape.
I didn't even get the chance to open the door before Chichi was bounding out, pulling me into a hug before thoroughly checking me over for injuries.
Once she was satisfied with that she looked up and centered her focus on Raditz, who, while spared from a crushing hug, did also get looked over for injuries, satisfied to find none.
She looked up, eyes narrowing as she looked over the group, "where is Piccolo?" She demanded.
"He's fine too, just went somewhere else," I tried to reassure.
"Avoiding social interaction is what he's doing! I've been worried sick and he can't even be bothered to come back here and- honestly! I'm going to give him a stern talking to next time I see him!"
Krillin inched closer to me, covering his mouth away from Chichi as he whispered, "did, Chichi just adopt Piccolo in these past three years or something?"
"You know, I think that is what happened here actually. I'm not really sure how so don't ask."
"Right, ok. Somehow, this isn't the most surprising thing that has happened today."
"Hey Krillin!" Yamcha turned the corner, assumably overhearing the commotion, "alright! Glad you guys got here safe! How'd everything go? Did you beat the Androids?"
"Not, exactly. Things are a bit more complicated, but for now, we have to move Goku out of here, we'll explain what happened on the way. How's Goku been doing?"
"He's ok for now, he just got to sleep," Yamcha looked over, "oh hey, Future dude, welcome back. And more, friends of yours?"
"Uh, yeah. Clover is my friend and training partner, and my Teacher," Trunks looked back until he spotted -her- leaning against a tree, not quite looking directly at the house, "Shaylan."
"Nice. Both chicks huh? Not that there's anything wrong with- I'm, going to stop talking now."
"That's, probably a good idea."
We started to gather supplies to transport Goku as Chichi introduced herself to the newcomers.
I retreated back to my room for a moment. Sighing as I sat in my bed. I just, want one moment of quiet.
Of course, as things kept moving outside my room, I was keenly aware of the fact that we would have to keep moving. So, I got back and scanned over my room to see if there was anything I wanted to take.
Do I trust the Androids not to mess with my plushes? I think, I'll take Terriermon just in case. I looked over my desk, I already have a few pencils in my backpack so I should be good in that regard. Maybe a few more eraser caps? Or an extra sketchbook, I'm pretty sure a fair bit of the next few days are gonna be waiting, but I also don't think I'd get through the one I have.
I thumbed through some of my half-filled sketchbooks until I paused at one that had an odd gap between pages.
Huh.
I opened it to see an envelope, sealed and with my old self avatar sketched in the corner.
Huh.
Welp, guess I'm bringing that.
"Hey Gohan, you ready to go?" Krillin knocked at my door.
"Uh, yeah one sec," I zipped up my backpack, grabbed Terriermon, and exited my room, walking to the front door only to double back to the kitchen, "actually-"
"Uh, what are you doing?" Krillin asked as I tore a page out of one of my sketchbooks.
"Writing a note just in case the Androids do break in," I said as I wrote.
: Goku isn't here, promise. Please don't go through my stuff, or any stuff really. Unless Seventeen wants better socks, in which case, fair enough.
-Gohan
Then I left the house, jogging to catch up to everyone else already on the Jet car thingy. The same bigger one that Bulma drove when she picked us up from the Saiyan fight.
Yamcha flew while Krillin took charge of explaining what had happened.
"Ok so, just so I'm getting this correctly, these Androids, the actual ones from the other timeline, they're both stronger and not as evil as the original timeline? But they still want to kill Goku?"
"That's what we assume. We're not sure what their plans are if they do manage to kill Goku, if they'll end their game there, or want to start a new one," -she- stated, "but for now at least they don't seem to have an interest in killing any of the rest of us."
"The big guy, Sixteen, seems like he likes nature, he liked watching birds, some trusting him enough to land on him. I doubt he'd like it if the other two started destroying things, and the two of them like him and cared what he wanted." I frowned. It didn't feel fair how -she- kept talking about them. I mean, I get that bad timeline, but she also knew how things were going to be, or at least how they were supposed to, just as well as I should, which, ok, my memory's faded over the years and she had 17 more to deal with, but the big plot points she had to still know, right? She played along with my questions earlier so she must.
"Right, but, he wasn't in The other time, right? That just means we have no idea how that'd change things. It might be good, or it might not be." Krillin reasoned.
"So, what do we do now?" Yamcha asked.
"Beats me man, I'm all out of ideas," Krillin crossed his arms.
"What if, we, or even just I, went back again and destroyed the Androids before they were woken up?" Trunks asked.
"Didn't you say you're time machine only
Had enough power for one more trip? That seems like too much of a risk, with the chance for you to get stuck to boot." Krillin shook his head, "I just don't think it's worth it."
"Even if you did, what that'd do for this timeline genius?" Clover asked.
"What do you mean? It'd get rid of them wouldn't it?" Krillin asked and Trunks started.
"No, no it wouldn't. Clover's right, sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. Going back again would only cause another branch in the timeline. It wouldn't affect this one at all."
"So, you're saying that wouldn't effect this time at all?"
"No, let's see," Trunks glanced down, "ah, ok. So the medicine I brought back right? In this time, that's going to save Goku, but in our timeline, he's still dead. Nothing we do in this timeline will affect ours."
"Huh, ok. So some kind of parallel universe thing? So if that's the case, why'd you decide to come back here again anyway?"
"My mother, she thought we'd be able to help here. So, here we are."
"Besides that, odds are we'd be able to get stronger here than we could have in our time. More opportunities and whatnot," -she- said from her spot leaning against the back wall.
"Right, hey so, sorry to change the topic but, I get that Trunks here is Vegeta's kid, and Clover is Nappa's I guess, but who are you exactly? I mean you seem a bit too old to be another mysterious Sayain baby, ah, no offense."
-She- waved off the age comment and just pointed with a pair of finger guns, "classified."
"Ok…we'll that was helpful. Is there a reason why you won't share or…?"
"No, I just like keeping up the mysterious act. If there was a reason, why would I say? It'd only make you want to try and figure it out which, I wouldn't want."
"You, make a good point," Krillin said.
"She makes a dodgy point," Yamcha muttered turning back to the road- er, sky.
"She's come back in time to help us, if she wants to be a bit dodgy with her explanations let her. It's not like it's doing any harm."
"Yeah, whatever man."
"If this nice young woman came all this way to help, it's quite rude of you to keep questioning her," Chichi cut in, "oh don't listen to those silly boys, I think you're a lovely young woman," she smiled.
"So you say…"
"Tell me Shaylan, do you have a boyfriend? Such a beautiful young woman, you must right?"
"Look, can we, not do this? I'm not really one for girl talk."
"Well, I'm just making conversation."
"It's not one I like so- no thanks." With that, Shaylan turned away to look out the plane's window.
"Guess that's a no then," Yamcha commented only to get smacked in the head by Clover.
Conversation cut off when Goku started shouting in his sleep. I backed against the wall and covered my ears from it.
It didn't last long before he quieted down to labored breathing, much to the jets occupants' concerned relief.
"Hey, so should someone tell Bulma what we're up to?" Yamcha asked.
"Yeah that's a good- wait are you saying I should call her? No way man."
"I'm flying the plane, obviously I can't be making any phone calls, what about you man," Yamcha turned to Trunks, "she's your mom ain't she?"
"Uh- well yes- I-"
"Oh I'll do it," Clover barged over to the video phone, "honestly, so afraid to make a little phone call. What's the number?"
Clover dialed it in and asked to get transferred to Bulma from whatever directory Capsule Corp had. I didn't have to deal with it much myself, as even on the rare occasion that I'd call her instead of her calling me, it'd be to her personal cell.
"Clover? As in the Future girl Clover? Hi! Hey is my son there, the Future one I mean, is he ok?"
"Yes ma'am, he's doing well. None of us are hurt."
"Well aren't you polite! I'm glad, so did everything go well with the Androids?"
"Define, well."
"So that's a no, well, save the explanation for now, I have a question for Trunks, and probably you too. Are you on speaker?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Great, so we just got a call from some guy out in the boonies claiming he found an odd Capsule Vehicle, but none of our operatives could identify it. I took a look and it looked just like that time machine Trunks came in the first time! We saw him leave with it, remember?"
"Uh, I'm pretty sure we have the time machine with us, right?" Clover looked over to Trunks."
"Uh, yeah, it's right here," Trunks pulled out a Capsule case, taking out the center one and holding it up.
"Yeah, so, that's kinda impossible."
"Well, it looks just like it to me, though a bit worn down like it's been just sitting there for a few years. Just how many time machines did you make in the future?"
"How many? We barely managed to make the one."
"That's strange, hang on, I'll send a picture over."
Some lights started blinking and a photo was printed through a slot.
Clover blinked, "this is-" she started before Trunks snatched the picture from her hands.
"That's my time machine! How in the world-"
"Yeah, that's what I was saying," Clover grabbed the photo back, "still doesn't explain what it's doing here, since you do have it with you."
"Of course I do. I just showed it to you."
All through the conversation, I backed away until I was well and pressed against the back wall of the plane.
Already?
The Android saga's barely started how can Cell be showing up already?
It's gotta be some kind of fluke. Maybe this is happening earlier than in canon. Maybe there'll be a way to stop this all before it even starts.
Maybe-
"I have to go check this out, where is-"
"Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to look at it too. I send over the coordinates so you can meet me there," Bulma cut Trunks off.
"You- I mean, ok. You're…not gonna bring me again, I mean, baby me, right?"
"Oh god no, Trunks just got down for his nap, if I woke him, he'd never get back to sleep."
"That's not- ok."
"I'll go too!" Clover volunteered.
"No, you should stay here, keep Shay company."
"..fine, whatever."
"I can hear you two you know," -she- spoke up.
"We know," they spoke at the same time.
"I'm going too," I announced, running up as Trunks opened the side door, a gust of wind rushing through the cabin.
"Gohan-" Chichi started, only for Krillin to interject.
"Ah let him go Chichi. When Gohan gets like this there's no real stopping him anyway, besides, no real harm can come from looking at some old machine, right?" He asked.
"I suppose…oh but promise me you'll leave at the first sign of danger!"
I hummed in agreement, knowing full well that if I saw Cell I'd deck him first and think about the consequences after.
Trunks and I left the plane, and I followed his lead as he looked over the coordinates.
…
Android Seventeen-
He tapped his fingers against the steering wheel as he waited for Eighteen to get out of the 7th clothing store they've stopped by.
He huffed crossing one leg up on his knee, only to start picking at his sock.
"Hey Sixteen, my socks look cool, right?"
He looked back at Sixteen who examined his visible sock.
"I like the color." He stated.
"Yeah…they totally look cool."
What's the point of wearing bright socks if no one can see them? Of course Sixteen would like them too, they were the same color as his vest.
After what felt like forever Eighteen finally exited the store wearing some gaudy cowgirl outfit.
"Not a word," she commanded as she practically slammed the door shut.
"Hey if that's what you want to wear that's none of my business," Seventeen shrugged as he started the car back up. He grinned, sure a food delivery truck wouldn't be his first choice, but hey, a car's a car.
"At least I'm not self conscious over some kid making fun of me."
"I'm not-" he cut himself off. Nope, no, that is a trap. She is going to drag him into an argument that neither of them will win and will go on until someone- huh, guess no one would cut them off now will they? He thinks someone did before. It couldn't have been Gero, they never argued in front of him. Weakness or whatever.
Technically Sixteen could interrupt, but he couldn't imagine the big guy interfering much, unless they hurt a bird or something maybe.
Actually, on second thought-
"At least I'm not wearing shoulder pads."
"Ok! You know what-"
Arguing was pretty fun anyway.
