Summary: The Lotus Ninjas, Saldana, Irma, and Aaliyah all return to New York as they commence an assault on Lady Shade's hideout since she still believes them to be dead.
Under a sunny morning, a white portal appeared on the beach shore. Lee, Ella, Donna, Ellie, Saldana, Irma, Aaliyah, Phantom, Ekron, and Ryoko marched through the portal one by one. After spending three months recuperating in Caesar's mysterious mansion, the mystic family and their allies made their move to return to the beach of New York City with extreme cautious.
Once the portal closed and disappeared, Saldana lifted her arms forward and stealthily concentrated on her magic to recreate their cloaking fortress. Once the fortress rose unnoticeably to the sky, Saldana teleported her daughters and their friends inside their new and improved home.
"Welcome home, my daughters." Saldana said with a smile.
"Home sweet home, indeed!" Ellie grinned.
Donna quickly hurried to her lab. She sat in her seat and started activating her computers.
"I'm glad to see my babies are up and running." Donna smiled in relief.
Ellie, Aaliyah, Ekron, and Ryoko headed to the kitchen. Irma followed Donna while Phantom and Saldana entered the dojo. And Lee and Ella sat on the couch in the living room.
"Here's one thing I don't get." Ella said. "I know Lady Shade destroyed our home the first time, but why didn't she send out a search party on us?"
"If we know Lady Shade, she wouldn't stop searching for us unless she believes there's no one left to search for." Lee pointed out.
Ella's eyes widened as it gave her an idea.
"You know, this could actually work." Ella said. "If Lady Shade believes that we are dead…"
"Then, it'll give us the perfect advantage for the element of surprise." Lee finished.
Lee and Ella nodded in agreement. They hopped off the couch and made their way into Donna's lab.
"Donna, we need you to hack into Shadow Clan headquarters." Lee ordered. "We need to learn everything we can if we're gonna do this."
"I can try. If I remember correctly, the entire system was designed by Sage herself." Donna said in a hesitating tone. She then let out a smirk as she cracked her knuckles and began typing. "Lucky for us, no one can outrank me when it comes to hacking."
"We'll let you know if anything comes up." Irma said.
As Donna worked on hacking into the Shadow Clan HQ, Lee and Ella informed their strategy to Saldana in the dojo.
"I see." Saldana said. "This will leave our enemy vulnerable to a surprise attack indeed. But remember my daughters, you must be always prepared. The battle you face today will be most grueling."
"Hai, mother." Ella and Lee nodded.
Ella walked out of the dojo, but Lee remained blurred, which caught Saldana's immediate attention.
"Are you alright, my daughter?" Saldana asked.
"It's just…the last time I fought Lady Shade's Elite ninjas and lost severely. I…I don't wanna let my sisters down." Lee said with a frown.
"Leona, you can never let them down. You must look within and find a strength that is yours and yours alone." Saldana said, placing her hand on Lee's shoulder.
"Hey, guys! Come here quick! We're in!" Donna called out.
Everyone gathered behind Donna and Irma in the lab.
"I have successfully cracked the encryption algorithm by using three different dictionary attack programs." Donna explained.
"Then, I managed to create a dummy account and installed the undetectable remote access Trojan horse." Irma added.
Donna and Irma high-fived each other.
"Nerds." Ellie and Aaliyah smiled as they rolled her eyes with sideway smiles.
"So, is there a way to get us inside and find Lady Shade?" Ella asked as she placed her hands on her hips.
"The good news is that getting inside's easy." Irma replied as she pointed her finger at the bottom of a map diagram of the Shadow Clan skyscraper on the computer. She then moved her finger up to the top. "The bad news is that it's gonna be difficult but achievable to get all the way up to Lady Shade."
"The only thing that concerns me is everything in between." Donna added as she pointed her finger around the middle.
"While you girls get inside, I can coordinate computer systems from this end." Irma said.
"Alright. Aaliyah, you stay here and help Irma with the monitoring." Lee said to Aaliyah.
"You got it." Aaliyah nodded with a thumb up.
"We're gonna be a four-girl wrecking crew!" Lee said to her sisters.
Lee, Donna, Ella, and Ellie stacked their hands together.
"Make that five." Saldana said as she placed her hand on top of her daughters' hands.
"Let's rock." Ella grinned.
Outside, the Lotus Ninjas and Saldana stood on the highest rooftop. They looked towards the Shadow Clan building across from them.
"This is the place." Donna said.
"And I have a spell to get us in." Ellie said confidently.
"You do?" Donna, Lee, and Ella questioned in confusion.
Ellie waved her hand back and forth with a grabbing shape and pointed an orange wisp of magic in front of herself and her family, swirling around from top to bottom and instantly turned them completely invisible by the naked eye.
"Since when did you learn invisibility?" Donna asked.
"Since Christmas last year." Ellie replied as she placed her hands on her hips. "This spell made me undetectable from your high-tech cameras."
Saldana looked at Ellie with a firm face.
"For last minute tree decorations, not because of the presents." Ellie said sheepishly.
"We're going in." Lee said.
Lee, Ellie, Donna, Ella, and Saldana jumped off with swift flips. They landed safely on the ground and dashed through the barricade that led them into the parking structure.
Saldana lifted her right hand in front of her and casted a spell. A ball of white energy was created above her palm and she fired it to produce an illusionary serpentine dragon. A group of Shadow Ninjas caught the sight of the dragon and backed away in shock.
In Lady Shade's throne room, the sound of an alarm caught Ravenna and her daughters' attention.
"It's the perimeter alarm." Sierra reported.
"No doubt it's an intruder!" Mira exclaimed.
"This is control! We're under attack! Commence lock-down!" A male Shadow Clan announced from the control room.
"Call it." Mira said.
"I don't care who it is. Find the intruder and finish them." Ravenna ordered.
"Yes, mother." Sierra and Mira nodded.
After the armored entry door closed shut, the Shadow Ninjas took positions and charged forward to take on the dragon with their weapons. The dragon opened fire at the Shadow Ninjas with white flames and swung its long tail that knocked some of the ninjas away to the wall.
A nearby elevator door opened and two Shadow Clan lieutenants stepped out.
"A dragon?" Sierra gasped.
"Yeah, a new playmate." Mira grinned wickedly.
Sierra and Mira summoned their dark magic before dashing at fast speed.
Meanwhile, the Lotus Ninjas and Saldana undetectably dashed forward through the halls at fast speeds.
"Nice control on that illusion, mom." Ella commented.
"Your father was the one who taught me that trick." Saldana replied with a smile.
"Irma, Operation Distraction is complete." Donna reported as she pressed a purple flower symbol on her right earbud.
"Roger that. I'm uploading a virus program now." Irma said as Aaliyah, Phantom, Ekron, and Ryoko appeared behind her.
The Lotus Ninjas and Saldana arrived at the door of the control panel that is located in a corridor of the building.
"We need an access code to get in the control room." Donna said.
"Who needs an access code when you can make a portal?" Ella said.
Ella twisted her hand into a fist and opened it, pointing her magic in front of her and forming a red portal on the door. She, her sisters, and Saldana ran through the portal, where they entered inside the control room filled with Shadow Ninjas.
"That's a lot of ninjas." Ellie remarked.
"Allow me." Saldana said as she stepped forward.
Saldana lifted both hands in front of her and released a shining white powder, instantly putting every Shadow Ninjas to sleep on the floor.
"Oh, snap. Nice job, mom." Ella grinned.
"I'm so glad you came with us." Ellie smiled as she hugged Saldana.
"The comm system's down, D." Irma reported.
"Thanks." Donna said. "Now, it's my turn."
Donna ran up and jumped in the chair in front of the computer panel.
"I'm downloading the remote access codes as we speak. To do that, I'm creating synergistic interface." Donna explained as she began typing quickly. "Irma, we need another way out that will lead us to Lady Shade's main room."
"I've found the main ventilation shaft, the duct is located in the northwest corner." Irma said as she stared at the SCHQ map on the screen.
"Got it." Donna nodded. She approached the ventilation shaft cover and kicked it in. She then turned around to Ellie. "Ellie?"
"I'm on it." Ellie winked.
Ellie manifested a gust of wind around herself, her older sisters, and her mother. She shaped the wind into a tornado as it carried the mystic family within and entered through the shaft.
Sierra, Mira, and the Shadow Ninjas continued combating against the illusionary dragon. While the Shadow Ninja kept the dragon distracted, Sierra and Mira nodded in unison. They soared in the air and fired dark energy blasts in midair. The combined effect of the sisters' dark magic was strong enough to blow the dragon apart into white smoke.
Sierra and Mira's eyes lit up in a mix of surprise and confusion.
"What the?! It was an illusion!" Mira shouted. "This whole thing was a distraction!"
Sierra took out her compact mirror-like communicator and flipped it open to see buzzing static on the screen.
"Mother, come in." Sierra spoke. "Security control, this is Sierra. Can anybody hear me?" She turned to Mira. "The signal is breaking up."
Little do Sierra and Mira know is that it was Irma's brilliant virus designed to clog their headquarters' internal communications network.
"The rest of you get to the control room right now." Sierra said. "Mira and I will join our mother."
Ellie's tornado bursted through the duct shaft and soared around before landing the mystic family to the ground and vaporizing out of thin air. Everyone looked around and found themselves inside a huge hangar filled with vehicles and gadgets.
Donna's eyes lit up as she quickly looked around at the weapons and vehicles in fast speed.
"Whoa! Oh my gosh! Oh, that's beautiful! Sick designs!" Donna smiled excitedly.
"Geek alert." Ella and Ellie said as they traded teasing smiles on their faces.
"This must be what techno geek heaven looks like." Donna grinned widely.
"No time to fantasize, Donatella. We must keep on moving." Saldana reminded.
The mystic family walked throughout the room until Lee suddenly stopped.
"Wait." Lee spoke.
"What is it, Leona?" Saldana asked.
"I sense a presence." Lee replied.
Donna, Ella, Ellie, and Saldana looked around, but they saw nothing.
"But there's nobody here." Ellie said.
"It's coming from up there." Lee said, pointing her finger at the ceiling wall.
Back in Lady Shade's throne room, Ravenna stared at the buzzing static on her communicator and closed it before tossing it to her throne chair. She got herself into a sitting position in midair and closed her eyes.
"The system's communications are down." Ravenna said. "I'm doing to find the intruder my way."
Ravenna opened her eyes with a glowing stare. A large black bat materialized out of Ravenna's shadow and soared down toward the floor. It flew through the halls and into the air vent. It quickly moved around the corners and dropped through another open vent, where it quietly caught the sight of the mystic family.
Ravenna snapped out of her trance with a scream as she fell on her knees to the floor.
"What?! The Lotus Ninjas? They are…alive?!" Ravenna exclaimed in utter shock. "But that's impossible. Sage gave me enough evidence to prove that they were…" Her eyes narrowed in anger. "Of course."
Elsewhere, Sage was examining the mystical artifacts that her Nanocats have stolen and already began working on her latest invention with a wicked smile.
Sierra and Mira arrived back inside their mother's throne room. They ran up and helped Ravenna on their feet while their mother was taking deep breaths.
"Girls, the Lotus Ninjas…they are alive." Ravenna said.
"What?!" Mira cried.
"But how?" Sierra asked.
"It doesn't matter. Put all ninja on full alert and search the building." Ravenna ordered. "Sage will pay for her lies!"
Ellie's tornado soared through the duct shaft and landed the mystic family to the ground before vaporizing out of thin air once again. The Lotus Ninjas and Saldana looked around to see three large tanks inside a laboratory. Each tank was filled with white liquid and held a feminine humanoid figure.
"What is this place?" Saldana asked.
"Hey, Irma. Any idea where we are?" Donna asked as she pressed a purple flower symbol on her right earbud. "Check the building schematics."
"I've got no information on your location. All I know is that you guys are on the 35th floor." Irma responded.
Ella, Ellie, Donna, Saldana, and Lee walked forward as they looked closely at the tanks.
"I don't need a wild guess to figure out this place." Donna said. "We're inside the Shadow genetics laboratory."
"Is this lab similar to the abandoned lab back deep under the city?" Lee asked.
"No way!" Ellie exclaimed.
"No wonder this place looks familiar." Ella said in disbelief.
Suddenly, the alarms started to blare. The sisters looked at each other in confusion because neither of them nor their mother have set on the alarm by accident. But everyone turned their attention to one of the tanks that was starting to slide open and release all of the white liquid inside.
The Lotus Ninjas and Saldana stepped back away as they all gasped in sheer shock.
The other two tanks opened and released out all the liquid substance. Three feminine figures walked out of the tanks and sprang on the floor.
The three feminine figures shared similar appearance as Lady Shade, but they appeared different in age, with the middle appearing as an adult woman, the young girl on the left side, and the teenager on the right side. They all have long wavy black hair and grey eyes. They also wore a full armored black qipao patterned with a silver dragon, dark grey leggings, and black high heeled boots.
"Wait a minute! I thought there's only one Lady Shade!" Ellie exclaimed.
"Me too, Ellie." Donna said. "It's possible that they might be her genetically engineering hybrid clones. Recombinant genetic mutations of Lady Shade DNA."
The three Lady Shade clones walked up towards the mystic family with glowing black eyes.
