Summary: The Lotus Ninjas are forced to take down not only Lady Shade, but Sage, who's relentless on crushing them for causing her numerous failures and scars respectively.
With an evil smile, Sage constructed powerful cannons from her arms. The Lotus Ninjas, Saldana, and Lady Shade got into fighting stances.
"Despite the punishments I've endured, all this time I was using you to make my brilliant plan into a success, Lady Shade." Sage said as she pointed her finger down at the wide-eyed Lady Shade. "With this marvelous high-tech exosuit, it's payback time!"
Sage fired several missiles around the room.
"Hit the deck!" Ella shouted.
The Lotus Ninjas and Saldana evaded the missiles. Two of the missiles hit the frozen Shadow Elites, Sierra, and Mira to the wall, freeing them from their freezing state.
Back at the Crete Fortress, Irma heard the loud sound of missiles from her headset link connecting to Donna's earbud. Aaliyah, Ekron, Phantom, and Ryoko exchanged worried glances before looking back at Irma.
"I'm picking up multiple explosions. Donna, can you hear me? Do you copy?" Irma shouted.
Back in Lady Shade's throne room, Saldana protected herself and her daughters from Sage's missile barrage with a strong barrier of white magic.
"Uh, Irma, we're kinda busy at the moment." Donna responded through her earbud. "Call you later."
The Shadow Elite recovered and went up to Lady Shade. They all positioned themselves into fighting stances just as Sage hovered over in front of them. Sage aimed her cannons and fired two missiles at the Shadow Elite, making them fall into a large hole she had made beneath them.
Lady Shade jumped up and prepared to blast her dark magic, but Sage delivered a swift somersault and knocked the Shadow Clan leader against the wall tapestry behind her throne. Lady Shade then crashed hard to the floor.
"And now, you witches." Sage said, turning her head to Sierra and Mira. "I've been looking forward to this ever since your mother recruited me."
Sierra and Mina blasted their dark magic at Sage, who deflected the attack with an energy barrier that surrounded herself. Sage fired a barrage of strong energy beams that smashed Sierra and Mira against the wall. Without any ounces of strength to fight back, Sierra and Mira collapsed to the ground.
"Oh, that felt good." Sage smiled.
Suddenly, Lady Shade charged straight towards Sage. She slashed the armor around Sage's arms, legs, and chest with her glowing hands before landing in front of the scientist. But the slashes instantly vanished from Sage's armor.
"H-How can that be?!" Lady Shade exclaimed in disbelief.
"Self-healing polymer acrylic. I managed to develop that substance by your resources." Sage explained with a grin. "And do you know the funny thing is? That you, Lady Shade, never see it coming!"
Two mechanized tentacles extended out from Sage's back and wrapped around Lady Shade. Sage lifted the Shadow Clan leader and electrocuted her with surges of electricity before throwing her to the floor.
As Sage laughed maniacally, the Lotus Ninjas and Saldana stared with wide, surprised eyes.
"Wow, Sage just took down Lady Shade, her daughters, and the Shadow Elites in 3.5 seconds!" Donna stated. "And it took everything we had to beat them before her arrival."
Sage then turned her attention to the Lotus Ninjas and Saldana.
"And now, you freak witches." Sage said. "So glad you invited yourselves to your fate!"
Sage and the Lotus Ninjas charged forward.
Ella attacked Sage with a large fireball, but Sage deflected it with an energy shield with one hand. She then drew back her fist and delivered a powerful punch at Ella that sent her flying across the room and crashed straight at the wall.
Donna, Lee, and Ellie gasped as they saw their hot-headed sister down and out. Then, they charged forward to strike Sage with their magic.
Before Donna and Ellie could fire their magic, Sage blasted them against the wall with energy beams. Lee ran towards Sage while dodging from the energy blasts from the scientist. Then, Sage unleashed a large energy beam at Lee that knocked away from both hands.
"Is that all you got?" Sage asked. She turned around to face Saldana. "And now, the best for last."
Sage fired a rapid barrage of energy blasts at Saldana, who evaded out of the way with swift speed. But then, two mechanized tentacles wrapped around Saldana and lifted her up above Sage. Saldana screamed in pain as powerful surges of electricity began to electrocute her. Sage smirked as she threw the white mystic master to the wall.
"Mother!" Lee cried out.
The Lotus Ninjas jumped back on their feet and summoned their magic as they started sprinting towards Sage.
Sage fired several missiles at the Lotus Ninjas, who scattered away from the flying missiles. Donna unleashed large vines from her hands and wrapped them around the scientists, pinning her arms and legs effectively.
"Are you serious? You really think you can stop me with plant vines?" Sage asked with a laugh.
"Wanna bet?" Ella smirked.
Ella, Ellie, Lee, and Donna's eyes glowed. They formed large serpentine dragons out of their respective elements around themselves. The elemental dragons rose above the wide-eyed Sage and hurled at her in a burst of multi-colored energy. That caused Sage to lose control of her exosuit.
"Nooo! My exosuit!" Sage shouted. "My backup systems…!"
Ella, Ellie, Lee, and Donna came together and delivered powerful kicks that knocked Sage through the window backwards. Sage's malfunctioning exosuit sent her soaring and screaming high into the sky until she was out of sight once her exosuit exploded.
"I'm glad that's over." Ellie said.
"I wouldn't say that."
The Lotus Ninjas turned around to see Lady Shade standing on the opposite side of the room.
"Let's finish this once and for all, Lady Shade!" Lee said.
"I intend to!" Lady Shade concurred.
Lady Shade's palms began to glow in blazing black energy. She charged forward at the Lotus Ninjas, challenging them one by one in single combat.
Lady Shade clashed with Ella first. Ella began throwing several fireballs at the Shadow Clan leader, who immediately created a strong magical shield to protect herself. Lady Shade swiftly kicked Ella hard to the stomach, sending the red mystic kunoichi to hit the wall and fell to the ground.
While glaring at Lady Shade, Donna charged forward and released a wave of violent earth rushing towards the Shadow Clan leader. Lady Shade jumped over the attack and punched Donna repeatedly into the face and chest until she punched the purple mystic kunoichi with her final black energized fist.
Ellie charged forward and unleashed a long chain out of solid air wrapping around Lady Shade's wrists as she tried to constrict the Shadow Clan leader withal her strength. But before Ellie can strike, Lady Shade pulled Ellie forward and swiftly kicked her away as Ellie rolled towards the throne chair.
Lady Shade turned to Lee, who jumped into the air with crescent-shaped blades of solid water circling in front of her head and brought them down on the Shadow Clan leader one by one. After avoiding the water blades, Lady Shade soared towards Lee and blasted her to the ground with dark magic. But Lee wasn't done yet. Lee charged forward and fired water-based attacks at Lady Shade, who quickly dodged out of the way. The Shadow Clan leader was extremely fast as she swept her black energized fists and kicks at Lee. Unfortunately, Lee's fast speed wasn't quick enough to keep up. Lady Shade punched the blue mystic kunoichi down and kicked Lee away to the ground.
As Lady Shade stood over the Lotus Ninjas with her blazing fists, Saldana propelled herself forward and kicked the Shadow Clan leader away from her daughters. Ella, Donna, Ellie, and Lee pulled themselves off the floor as they watched Saldana and Lady Shade delivering rapid punches, kicks, and energy-based attacks until the two powerful mystics crashed outside through the window.
"Mother!" Ella, Donna, Ellie, and Lee shouted.
The Lotus Ninjas sped through the broken glass window and landed into the rooftop garden. The fight between Saldana and Lady Shade continued with energy-based attacks until Saldana finally swung her arms and blasted her with a large bolt of white energy, sending the Shadow Clan leader flying backwards and crashed into a small bridge.
The Lotus Ninjas joined their mother just when Lady Shade rose out of the water.
"I cannot and I will not lose!" Lady Shade growled.
Lady Shade lifted both hands upwards and created a large black swirling portal. A squad of Shadow Ninjas flew out of the portal on aeronautical vehicles and hovered above the roof. The Shadow Ninjas began lasers at the Lotus Ninjas and Saldana. The mystic family scattered away to avoid the incoming lasers.
Meanwhile, the yokai creature stood on a building rooftop several feet away from the action between the Lotus Clan and the Shadow Clan. He opened his pale grey scallop, which projected a holographic image of three mystics.
"Mistress, the Lotus Ninjas are alive and they are fighting with Lady Shade in her lair." The yokai reported. "Permission to aid them in battle?"
"That won't be necessary." The young mystic replied.
"See that the Lotus are victorious." The adult mystic ordered.
"If the battle gets drastic for them, ready your men." The elderly mystic added.
"Understood." The yokai said with a nod.
The yokai closed his scallop and looked back towards the skyscraper.
Saldana raced across the rooftop while dodging lasers from two Shadow Ninjas.
"My daughters, I'll distract Shade's flying ninjas!" Saldana called out.
Saldana soared up in the air just as Lee halted from running.
"But mother…" Lee said.
"Remember the lessons that I've taught you and your sisters." Saldana said. "Become your elements by tapping into the full potential of your magic."
With that, Saldana flew away, making the Shadow Ninjas chase after her. One by one, Saldana evaded the lasers and then blasted their vehicles with her magic.
Then, Lee turned around and faced Lady Shade, who walked towards her.
"It is very unfortunate that you did not join me, Leona." Lady Shade said. "You should've accepted my offer when you have the chance. You could have served me as my top elite ninja."
"I will never serve you! Not now, not ever!" Lee declared.
"So be it." Lady Shade said. "My Elite ninjas!"
The Shadow Elite appeared in puffs of smoke and stood in front of Lady Shade.
"Finish her." Lady Shade ordered.
Lee narrowed her eyes just as the Shadow Elites surrounded her.
Then, Ella, Donna, and Ellie dove behind their oldest sisters.
"I got this, girls." Lee said.
"Oh please." Ella said. "Like we're gonna let you have all the fun."
"We're family." Donna said.
"And we finish this fight together!" Ellie added.
Ellie compressed a mass of air between her palms and released it into a powerful blast at one Shadow Elite. Donna levitated multiple stone chucks from the ground and shot them at the second Shadow Elite all at once. Ella generated a great amount of fire and unleashed a large blast of flames at the third Shadow Elite from her hands. The fourth Shadow Elite charged forward and swung a wave of black energy at Lee, who backflipped over the energy wave and landed back on the ground. Lee manipulated water out of thin air and formed it into the shape of a massive pillar that knocked the final Shadow Elite from below.
With the Shadow Elite defeated, the Lotus Ninjas turned their attention to Lady Shade.
"Give up, Lady Shade! It's over!" Lee said.
"You simple-minded fools!" Lady Shade said with an evil laugh. "You're in my stronghold. Did you really think you could stand a chance against me?"
Lady Shade formed six black portals around the Lotus Ninjas. A dozen Shadow Ninjas ran through the portals and positioned themselves with weapons in their hands, which allowed their mystic leader to take her leave.
"Aw, come on!" Ellie complained.
Then suddenly, the yokai creature sprang down in front of the Lotus Ninjas. A group of five humanoid yokai joined their leader and faced the Shadow Ninjas.
"We'll take care of the ninjas. Find and defeat Lady Shade." the yokai creature said.
"Thanks." Lee said.
While the yokai squad attacked the Shadow Ninjas, the Lotus Ninjas ran towards Lady Shade, who was hovering in the air. Her eyes narrowed when she caught the sight of the yokai squad.
"So...they sent them." Lady Shade muttered. She turned back to the Lotus Ninjas with a glare. "You four dare attack me with mere magic? Very well."
Lady Shade engulfed her fists in blazing black magic.
"The penalty for invading my fortress is a slow and painful death!" Lady Shade declared.
Ellie jumped up in the air as she manifested several blades composed of compressed solid wind before launching them at Lady Shade altogether. Lady Shade evaded the wind blades with swift speed and delivered a rapid barrage of energized punches towards Ellie's chest that knocked her to the ground in front of her sisters. Ella generated flames from the palm of her hands in a spiraling motion and fired a tornado-shaped blast of flames at Lady Shade, who protected herself with a black-tinted force field. Lady Shade then began creating ten black energy balls and sent them one by one to hit and knock Ella away. Lee launched a dragon-shaped water blast towards Lady Shade as Donna generated a large blooming rose and launched a powerful beam of concentrated earth energy at the Shadow Clan leader. Once again, Lady Shade produced a force field that protected herself from the elemental attacks. She then channeled her black magic and released two black energy waves that knocked Lee and Donna away.
Ellie, Ella, Lee, and Donna pushed themselves off the ground. They breathed heavily as they glared at Lady Shade in their defensive stances. With narrow eyes, Lady Shade charged forward. The Lotus Ninjas charged until they and the Shadow Clan leader clashed with each other. In quick succession, each mystic kunoichi were down and out.
Lady Shade laughed as she floated in the air with a victorious smile.
"Pathetic!" Lady Shade said. "Even with all those years of Ninjutsu, you still couldn't defeat me!"
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but she's right." Ella growled. "No matter how much we throw at her, she's still kicking our butts."
"But what else can we do?" Ellie asked.
"What our mother taught us to do." Lee said. "Become one with our elements."
"Become one with our elements?" Donna repeated. "But we haven't done it before."
"It's the only plan we got." Lee said. "You're with me?"
Ellie, Ella, and Donna nodded in agreement.
The Lotus Ninjas stood back on their feet. They closed their eyes and rose up in the air as they began to concentrate and connect towards the core of their elemental magic within them. Once the Lotus Ninjas opened their eyes, Lady Shade witnessed something that stunned her. Lee was transformed from a solid girl into a free-flowing being of pure liquid water. Ella's entire body altered into a streaking being of living fire. Donna was converted into a tree-like being with her hairstyle altering into various blooming flowers. And Ellie's entire body became completely air-like.
"So, you literally tapped your elements and turned into one." Lady Shade said. "No matter. I can't wait to tear you mystics apart!"
The Lotus Ninjas narrowed their eyes and zoomed off towards Lady Shade.
Lady Shade formed a black energy sphere in her right hand that shot out arrow-shaped energy projectiles to attack the Lotus Ninjas, who swiftly evaded with incredible speed and then began to circle the Shadow Clan leader.
Lady Shade narrowed her eyes with a glare. She lifted her left hand and summoned several black energized tentacles to grow and restrain Ella's limbs, hoping to restrict her movement. But Ella radiated brighter and brighter, causing her flames to scorch the tentacles. Ella generated multiple fireballs at once around Lady Shade and threw them as an exploding barrage, burning the Shadow Clan leader's body and part of her mask with extensive damage.
Lady Shade screamed in anguish. But before she could attack Ella, several vines began to hold her back. Lady Shade turned her head and saw Donna was restraining her in her own flowery hair. Donna molded five large fists from the ground and sent them to deliver a series of punches at Lady Shade from every direction. Donna nodded her head at Lee and Ellie, leaving the Shadow Clan leader bewildered.
Lee flowed through the air and created a large bubble of water that enclosed Lady Shade. Lady Shade struggled to free herself. Lee then lifted the water bubble above her and the water bubble itself was fired into a powerful beam of high-pressure water that knocked the Shadow Clan leader.
Once Lady Shade crashed to the ground, she struggled to get back up.
Ellie sprang up in front of him and generated a large tornado around Lady Shade. The increasing speed of the wind carried Lady Shade in midair without giving her any chance of a counterattack. Ellie then formed ten crescent-shaped blades of wind and sent towards Lady Shade at full speed.
"That...doesn't matter! I will...destroy you!" Lady Shade yelled weakly.
The Lotus Ninjas hovered over Lady Shade. They shot out elemental blasts that wrapped Lady Shade inside a large multi-colored energy orb. They then tossed the energy orb in the air and sliced through it with swift kicks and punches, causing the energy orb to explode.
With no strength left to fight back, Lady Shade collapsed to the ground hard and got knocked out cold.
The Lotus Ninjas descended onto the ground and returned to normal. They all looked down at the fallen body of their enemy.
In the garden, the yokai squad stood over the beaten Shadow Ninjas.
"They've done it. They've defeated Lady Shade. Well done." The yokai said with a smile.
The yokai squad bowed and quickly departed off the skyscraper.
Irma, Aaliyah, Ekron, Phantom, and Ryoko praised as they all watching the whole thing.
"Wahoo! Yes! They did it!" Irma shouted happily.
"Yeah, they did it!" Aaliyah cheered.
In the meantime, the Lotus Ninjas ran towards the helicopter.
"We did it! We defeated Lady Shade!" Ellie cheered. "We're so awesome!"
"There's just one more thing we have to do." Donna said.
"Burn the place down, so the Shadow can't never use it for anything ever again." Ella said.
"Not to worry, my daughters." Saldana said as she suddenly floated over her daughters. "Let me handle it."
Donna, Lee, Ellie, and Ella hopped inside the helicopter. Inside, Donna piloted the helicopter up in the air.
Saldana outstretched her arms and fired multiple bolts of white electricity throughout the entire Shadow Headquarters building. All of the tech inside the building began to short-circuited and erupted blazing flames all over every floor. Even the Shadow symbol on the side of the building lost power.
"Let's go home, my daughters." Saldana said as she hovered inside the helicopter.
With that, Donna steered the helicopter away from the Shadow headquarters.
Back at the burning Shadow HQ, Lady Shade suddenly rose back on her feet. She narrowed her eyes with pure anger when she looked at her left arm, which appeared to be pale white. Her eyes moved to her shadow that showed two horns on her head. Then, she vanished into the blazing fire.
