"Oh yeah I can post the last chapter early the POV chapter will be quick and easy to write!"
*Narrator voice* It was not.
Hi. Goku is a really hard character to write.
Hopefully I didn't do too terribly
I will not be confirming or denying any speculation on the thing(TM) So for anyone with such reviews, thanks :)
KingdomDone: Le thanks
Phreak91: Oh don't worry. I like Videl, and yeah she won't be a love interest, but for one I like her as a character, and two, plot. There's just so much potential in her, both in her in the high school setting and in the, whichever World Tournament before the Buu Saga (25th? Maybe?)
thewittywhy: I adore Mr. Satan, like, unironically. I might joke around a bit, but not so much at his expense as much like I do with Vegeta.
(and yeah... upgraded outfit from Piccolo shall prevent any shirtless transformations now or in the future) And issue there is, that too cool a name for SIGohan to come up with. It's too creative really
ragnarok042501: 12/10 pun
Misaka Phenex: There will be a love interest eventually, but it'll never really be a central focus. It took a while to decide on someone in the appropriate age range, and I settled on one that, at least falls under the canon precedent
Qinlongfei: lol thanks. It's kinda unfortunate that the last couple chapters have had moments that I was looking forward to, but also bigger plot events happened that everyone understandably focused on instead. In DBZ I just found it hilarious how Tao just noped out of there the second he found out about Gohan being Goku's kid. Though honestly the fact that he never flies, either during any fight, or travel, or up Korin's tower, it leads me to think he literally can't. Which I find dumb because, Crane School.
Mga: thanks lol
I'm not quite sure where you got the dream thing, but that's not really the case. But yeah, there won't be as much of an identity crisis after this, but I can't promise that it'll never come up again
Goku-
Now, Goku was aware that he wasn't the most self-aware person out there. And, it wasn't uncommon that people say things that he doesn't really understand.
Gohan said a lot of things he didn't really understand. Sometimes using words he didn't know, and sometimes just about that show he liked. But sometimes It wasn't really that he didn't understand what he said, but why he said them.
He waited too long to respond a lot, and his responses were usually really short. And it wasn't just that Gohan didn't really talk much, like Tien or Piccolo sometimes, because Gohan would talk a lot. Usually to Piccolo, or sometimes with Krillin. Gohan even seemed to talk to Raditz a lot.
Gohan didn't talk with Chichi a lot either so it can have just been him. And Gohan was quiet around his other friends sometimes too. It must just depend on the person.
But that was ok, they'd have plenty of time to talk in the time chamber!
And it was fun at first. Gohan seemed a bit scared of the emptiness of the time chamber but after a few days, he was more enthusiastic than ever about training!
But then he started denying breaks. And sure Goku could train longer, but Gohan was a lot smaller and needed more rest. Chichi would kill him if Gohan overworked himself or got seriously hurt in here.
So he suggested a haircut. Even Gohan had to admit that his hair was getting a bit long and that'd be a good excuse to take at least a short break.
But then Gohan cut his own hair with his sword. It was still kinda long, but not to the point where I'd get in the way anymore.
And then Gohan got right back to training.
By then even Goku could tell that, something, was wrong.
He tried to call his name to get his attention, but Gohan was either ignoring him or was too distracted to hear.
So instead Goku walked over and placed a hand on Gohan's shoulder, "son-"
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!"
And Goku startled back, removing his hand. Because that was really weird. Goku didn't think he ever heard Gohan yell. At least not like that.
And now Gohan looked- something. Worried? Because it couldn't have been scared. Because Gohan could have no reason to be scared of him.
Though Goku didn't know why Gohan would look worried either.
Maybe he was just surprised he yelled like that too?
Oh well, he reassured Gohan that he wouldn't call him that again. Because if it upset him that much, of course he wouldn't.
But it did seem weird though. Master Roshi called him son sometimes and they weren't even related.
Oh well. Maybe he'd ask Bulma later. Or maybe Krillin, he was better with people. And he was friends with Gohan.
But then, Gohan insisted it wasn't important, and while he didn't really believe him, maybe he shouldn't make Gohan talk about it if he didn't want to.
Well, regardless of any of that, Goku insisted on a break.
This time Gohan agreed without much argument.
So he decided to try and push his luck for a longer break. Which Gohan backtracked back against it.
And he claimed that had to.
And Goku frowned. Because why would Gohan think that he specifically had to fight Cell? That would explain why he was pushing so hard at least.
Besides, the idea of Gohan fighting Cell made him feel kinda funny. Maybe it was how brutally he almost killed Piccolo. Or did kill that future lady. He didn't really want Gohan, or anyone else, around Frieza after he killed Vegeta either.
So Goku tried to reassure him that he didn't expect Him to fight Cell.
But for some reason that only seemed to make it worse. Like, a lot worse. After that Gohan was just, really out of it, and any progress was halted.
Well no, Gohan was still getting stronger, but not as quickly as he had been before. And as time went on Gohan only seemed to get more and more frustrated with it.
Goku didn't really think the time chamber was helping at all, and he didn't really like it in there either so he called it quits a little early.
He, wasn't quite sure if he thought he was strong enough to beat Cell. But he didn't really think an extra week or two would make a significant difference either. He reached the limits of what he could achieve for now in the time chamber. If he decided it wasn't close he could just go back in in the worst case.
They left and found out that sure enough, Cell had achieved perfection. Goku could feel Cell's energy had grown from here.
It sure was a shame Cell wanted to hurt people. He could have made a great sparring partner. Though, at the expense of two other people wasn't great either.
Gohan, didn't seem to take the news well. He didn't seem really surprised either. He just, blamed Vegeta then left.
And Goku didn't know how to help. He didn't even really know what was wrong, and he wouldn't know what to say.
So, maybe that was why when Piccolo snapped at him to stay put and went after Gohan himself, he, did.
It was a good thing though. Piccolo was smarter than he was. And he and Gohan were friends. And that was a good thing. It was a good thing that Piccolo had friends. And it was a good thing Gohan had someone he, actually, trusted.
Yeah, it was a good thing.
Anyway! He got caught up on the situation, and yeah, it was kinda Vegeta's fault a little bit. Also kinda Krillin's? But he couldn't blame Krillin's for not wanting to kill someone. He probably woulda done the same thing.
And after going to see Cell himself, and asking Korin what he thought, Goku, still didn't quite think he was strong enough. It'd be close probably. And he could probably pull it off, but with the tournament setting, Goku wasn't sure if that'd make it better or worse.
Well, it'll be real interesting at least.
Goku, decided to just meet Gohan at home. He, didn't want to interrupt if he was still talking with Piccolo.
Chichi sure didn't like that he wanted him and Gohan to be Super Sayains until the Cell Games, but it was only ten days and he assured her that Gohan would get plenty of rest!
He didn't think Gohan would be up for training much in that time.
Ten days was plenty of time to figure things out. And a few days of rest was first and foremost.
They went fishing! That was always fun. Just him Krillin and Gohan. Well, Gohan wasn't really into it, but he was there!
Goku and Krillin reminisced on a lot of their past.
Krillin reminded him of their promise to grow old together.
And promises were important! But if Cell were too strong, well, he was the one who could use Instant Transmission so that was always a last-minute option.
He's rather beat him in a fight though.
Fishing. They were here to be fishing. Weird, his mind doesn't usually wander like this.
Maybe he just needed a nap.
Yeah, a nap sounded nice. It was such a nice day after all.
Except, when he woke up Krillin looked upset now and Gohan somehow more so than the last few days.
But that's ok, he seemed a bit better on his birthday! At least his two other friends seemed to cheer him up a bit.
And so spending more time with them could only be a good thing.
Course with Gohan out of the house Chichi wanted to have fun, which was a nice way to spend the night at least.
But then Gohan took kinda a long time to come home the next morning. But that was fine, because he must have just wanted to spend more time with his friends.
To reassure Chichi he reached out with his Instant Transmission, only he, couldn't find him. He wasn't where he and his friends usually were, or in the general area. He couldn't sense Gohan anywhere.
Goku smiled and reassured Chichi that it was fine. Gohan probably just fell asleep somewhere far enough that he couldn't really sense him.
Still, Chichi called Gohan's friends and, the girl said he wasn't there. And that he'd left a while ago.
That was, odd. Maybe, Krillin has seen him. He Instant Transmissioned his was to Kame House only for Krillin to say he had no idea.
Ok, Bulma then.
Bulma said no too, but Raditz said he did! Said he wanted to ask Nappa something. And then Nappa said that he wanted to learn something, and then took off towards the lookout!
Which that made sense. Goku had been sure nothing could have happened. He would have noticed. Piccolo would have noticed, especially up at the lookout.
He still should have been able to sense him up there, but the lookout was weird sometimes.
So that's where he went. As he got closer, he still couldn't sense Gohan. It wasn't until he had landed and approached the Temple that he suddenly did sense Gohan.
He looked, different. Not really physically, well, his hair was longer and he was maybe a few inches taller, but more than that, he looked, happy? Excited? Very different than he's been for the past, since, since the Androids first showed up actually.
"Gohan! There you are!" He said, meeting his son- except he promised not to call him that- "Chichi's been worried sick. Have you been in the time chamber this whole time?"
"Yeah, I had a really cool idea. It worked."
Goku frowned. There was, a certain light in his eyes. Gohan's grin showed no concern for the situation whatsoever.
So he crouched down so he could look Gohan in the eye better. How long had he been in the chamber? A few weeks? Months? Goku couldn't say.
"…do you think you can beat Cell?"
"Without a single doubt."
There was a confidence in Gohan's eyes that he hasn't seen since, ever. He's never seen Gohan look this assured. And Gohan didn't seem stronger than he was before, but who knows what he could be suppressing.
So he nodded, "alright."
Maybe he wouldn't go back into the time chamber. Gohan knew how strong he was, and if Gohan was this confident, he must think he was stronger.
He stood back up. Piccolo seemed confident too. And he was usually the cautious type, at least nowadays.
Piccolo seemed a bit stronger too. Not strong enough to kill Cell of course, but strong enough that it was obvious he'd been in the time chamber.
Of course, that kinda brought up another issue. Cell's killed a whole lot of people since he showed up, and with Piccolo and Kami fused that means there weren't any Dragon Balls…
"Hey Piccolo, could you and Kami separate again?"
"What?"
"I mean, we could probably use a wish right now, to bring back all the people Cell's killed. But you know, since Kami's not around, there are no Dragon Balls either."
"Sorry but no. There's no undoing a fusion between Nameks. That's why I was so hesitant to do so in the first place."
"Too bad…we could really use- hey! What happened to the survivors from Namek? Could any of them create new Dragon Balls do you think?"
"What? Do you want one of them to come live here?"
"Yeah, maybe even become guardian. I'd ask Ocari, but he doesn't really seem the type. He's an honest kid, if he could make Dragon Balls, I'm sure he woulda mentioned it by now, y'know?"
"…right…"
"If we explain our situation I'm sure they'd be happy to help!"
"I would just love a new guardian to keep me company," Mr. Popo agreed.
"Goku, where would you even begin to look for them? Do you have the slightest idea where in the universe they could be?"
"I can just use my Instant Transmission! I just have to find a planet that has a bunch of energy similar to your's Piccolo."
Piccolo opened his mouth to say something else, before looking at Gohan instead.
Goku was aware that they spoke telepathically sometimes, and whatever Gohan must have said seemed to make Piccolo look more, skeptical than disbelieving.
But when he did look, he couldn't really find them. Space is really big and he didn't really know where to look.
After a few minutes of this, he decided that that wasn't gonna work.
…hey! King Kai knows things like that. He'll just ask him.
So, we went to King Kai's planet instead.
He found his newer teacher sleeping on his lawn chair. Bubbles came to greet him as he walked up.
He gently woke King Kai and explained the situation. And while King Kai didn't know exactly where New Namek was now, he did set out to locate it with his telepathy, or however it was that worked.
King Kai snapped at him for chatting and He found it pretty quickly after that, pointing him in the right direction.
King Kai got his revenge by chatting now that he was trying to focus.
Now that he had a location to look in, it was a wonder he didn't find them earlier. It felt very, green.
With barely another word he teleported there.
And, wow. There were a lot of people who looked like Piccolo and Kami. Most of them were farming or doing whatever general daily activities when he popped in.
An older fellow stepped up to speak, "are you friend, or foe?" He asked.
"Huh? Oh, I'm a friend. My name's Son Goku and I was kinda hoping-"
"Oh! You wouldn't happen to be the same Goku who defeated Frieza a few years ago, would you?"
Goku glanced around to see that the entire town's attention was on him now.
"Well, yeah, I am. Gosh, that feels like a while ago now. Though, Namek still blew up at the end of it."
The elder composed himself, "it seems though, that your planet is the one in danger now."
"Huh? You already know that?"
"We know no details, but we could sense the destructive energy from the planet we briefly considered a home, even from this distance."
"I guess that cuts down the explanation a bit… the source of the energy is an Android named Cell. He's killed a lot of people, but we don't have our Dragon Balls anymore. The one who created them fused with Piccolo."
"Piccolo…ah, you mean the Namek that Nail had fused with."
"Uh, yeah I guess so," Goku thinks he heard something about that at least. He didn't think he knew the other one's name before though, "so, I was hoping that one of you might come and be our new guardian, and reactivate the Dragon Balls."
There were murmurs among the crowd and from what Goku could hear, they weren't positive.
"You know, there is one person who's qualified and would probably like to go back to earth."
The elder then prompted a child to come up, by the name Dende.
The elder introduced the boy and said that he missed Gohan and Krillin.
And he was reassured that Dende was perfectly qualified, both to reactivate the Dragon Balls and become a guardian, even despite his young age.
The child blushed at the compliments.
"Well then, you're hired," Goku joked and extended a hand so he could Instant Transmission them both back.
"Wait wait!" Goku paused as another child ran up. This one had a more cream colored puffy than Dende's white, and a bag slung over his shoulder.
"I wanna go too! I wanna see Gohan and Krillin again! And- and Ocari! It's been a really long time and I can't be a guardian or create Dragon Balls, or- but I'm sure I can-"
"Hey, don't worry about it. It's hardly any extra effort for me to bring another person, but-" he glanced up. Bringing one kid was one thing, and it was necessary, but bringing another? Though he could always just bring him back later if he doesn't want to stay…
"It is his choice," the Elder reassured.
"Ok then," Goku nodded, "I didn't quite catch your name," Goku said to the slightly smaller child.
"Cargo!"
Alright then Cargo, hold onto Dende's hand," and with one last farewell, Goku held Dende by the hand and brought the three of them away.
He made a quick stop at King Kai's to tell him it all worked out before getting back to the lookout.
Piccolo didn't seem as surprised as he expected, though, both he and Gohan didn't seem to expect the second child. Gohan looked a bit more confused between the two of them.
It didn't last long though as the kids quickly reintroduced themselves.
It was nice seeing Gohan looking happier than he's seen him in a long time.
Oh, but they wanted to see Krillin too, didn't they? Well, it hardly took much effort to pop over to Kame House to grab him.
The lot there was watching a broadcast of some big shot talking himself up about beating Cell. And Goku didn't want to sound mean but, he was a bit concerned for the guy's safety if he did actually show up to the Cell Games.
Oh well, that wasn't for him to control. Krillin. Agreed to go back to the lookout with him and Dende had already begun talking over the new Dragon.
"-and, it should only take a few months to make them."
"Oh…I don't think all those people would appreciate being dead that long," Goku commented, "is there any way you could speed up the process?"
Dende thought it over.
"Oh! If you had the old Dragon Balls and the model of the Dragon, I should be able to just reactivate the old ones instead!"
Saying that he did have the dragon model, Mr. Popo went and brought out the figure that Kami used to fix up the Dragon all those years ago.
Cargo looked disappointed. "Aw, but I drew pictures for ideas of the new Dragon…"
Goku looked over the kid's should you too at the drawings. They looked less, soft, or maybe round? Than Gohan's drawings did. And a bit rougher, but I looked cool anyway! He said as much to Cargo's delight.
True to his word, Dende was able to reactivate the Dragon really easily. And to Krillin and Piccolo's specifications, they could now have two wishes! And still wish back everyone Cell killed.
Piccolo was a lot politer to Mr. Popo now that he's fused with Kami…
Still only once per person, but worst case they could just go back to Namek for that.
"Hey Mr. Goku sir," Goku looked over to see Cargo looking up at him.
"Oh, you can just call me Goku." A lot of Gohan's friends liked to add extra titles to his name for some reason.
"Oh, ok. That teleporting thing is really cool! Do you think I could learn how to do it?"
"Huh, oh, maybe…" Goku didn't really think he could teach it, but he could bring Cargo over to Yardrat, "we'll have to look into that after Cell's defeated," Goku smiled.
"Yeah! That way I wouldn't have to choose. I can just go back to Namek and then back here whenever I wanted!"
Guess he's got it all planned out then.
So he should get back to his plan of the Dragon Balls. They were reactivated now, and while they shouldn't use them until after the Games, he might as well use the extra time to collect them now.
He popped over to Capsule Corp to find Bulma working on one of the Androids.
She was distracted and barely questioned his request for the Radar.
He test clicked it a couple times and it seemed to be working just fine.
The first one was pretty close so he opted to fly towards it.
Though, he paused as he walked out of Bulma's lab and was passing by her father's.
He spotted Raditz helping out in there.
Raditz didn't really look happy to see him, but he never did really.
"Hey, wanna go on an adventure?"
"No."
"Cause I was gonna go looking for the Dragon Balls because we just got them working again and-"
"Fine."
"Uh really?" Goku asked, because he was sure it'd take more convincing, or kidnapping, to get him to come.
"If it gets you to shut up," Raditz said as he started putting stuff away.
Huh. Well that was a lot easier than he thought.
Raditz has been acting kinda weird too lately. He was always kinda weird but ever since that woman died- oh! That makes sense. He wants to make sure he can bring her back. That explains it.
Well, Goku was glad Raditz did care about at least one person. Even if he didn't really get why.
Goku waited patiently as Raditz put stuff away…then a bit less patiently as he coulda sworn he was being slow on purpose.
He didn't complain though! If he did Raditz might change his mind.
They got to go pretty soon though and gosh, finding Dragon Balls now was a whole lot faster than it used to be.
Flying made it a lot easier to get places and he was strong enough that he was more concerned about breaking something he didn't want to than he was worried about any of them being stuck.
Goku smiled as the first one was already collected.
"That's it?" Raditz asked.
"Yeah! Cool right?"
Raditz looked unimpressed, "I expected, more."
"Well, we need to get all seven of them. They'll start to glow with all of them together!"
"Let's just get this over with," Raditz muttered.
Two more later and they were already almost halfway done!
"…Hey so, has Gohan been acting kinda weird lately? Do you think?"
"The brat's always weird."
"But like, he's been acting different ever since the whole Android thing started."
"Wow. Kid's stressed during a stressful time. Who'd have thought."
And then today, he came out of the Time Chamber and just seems, fine? Good, better than, most times."
That at least made Raditz give an actual response, "brat asked to learn the power ball. That might have something to do with it."
"The what?"
Raditz's eye twitched.
"The "fake moon thing""
Goku fumbled mid-flight, "o-oh? Why…would he want to learn that?"
Raditz raised an eyebrow.
"Hell if I know. I can't imagine the Oozaru doing much good. Maybe he was planning to mix that with the Super Sayain? It's hard to imagine something that big fighting Cell though."
Huh…that…was that why Gohan looked so confident…? And Piccolo too? Something had to have worked for both of them to be confident in it…
"What's that face?"
"Huh?" Goku looked back.
"You're making a face."
"No I'm not," Goku insisted. Why would he? Just because Gohan wanted to use the transformation thing, he totally had the right to! Just because it was the same thing that killed-
Oops. Haha, haven't thought about that in a while. Back in the box that goes.
Dragon Balls! They were looking for the Dragon Balls. That's what he should be focused on.
The radar lead then to two of them at once next.
They were inside a building.
Gosh, he hoped someone else didn't find them first. That'd make getting them more difficult.
He really needed them. Maybe he could just convince them.
The Dragon Balls in his pocket started glowing, confirming their presence inside as Goku took one out to look at it.
The door opened for him, so this probably won't be an issue after all!
Raditz followed him in.
He walked through a hallway, only for arrows to pop out of the walls, and fire at him.
Gosh, that would have hurt someone. It's a good thing it was just him and Raditz. Goku glanced back to see Raditz looking annoyed but just as unharmed.
Another door opened itself and he saw a man sitting at a desk. With the two Dragon Balls on it! Great!
"Hey! I was hoping-"
Another man stepped up. He looked familiar-
"Now why don't you hand over-" the second guy paused looking over Goku's shoulder.
"Wow. What are the odds," Raditz commented leaning against a wall.
He glanced back and thought really hard over where he recognized the guy-
Oh!
"General Tao! Hey! Remember me?"
"Pardon?"
"Yeah, my name's Goku. Remember? I look a bit different right now I guess, but it is me!"
Tao seemed kinda nervous for some reason. Goku glanced back to see if Raditz had any idea. He must have cause he looked really amused. Which was rare for him.
Then he paused, "general?" Raditz questioned.
Which seemed odd. Because why would that be the weird thing here?
Oh well. The Dragon Ball's owner had a couple of other men stand in front of them.
"Just hand over your Dragon Balls and no one needs to get hurt," he said.
"Oh, sorry. I kinda need your Dragon Balls actually. See, that way I can wish everyone Cell killed back."
One of the two other guys ran up and tried to dig through his jacket pockets. Goku pushed him off to the side, because that was really rude, and oops, that was probably too hard. It's harder to gauge Super Sayain strength. The guy sat back up though so it was probably fine.
As he speculated this, the other, other guy tried to shoot him. Which, those didn't even work when he was a kid. The only difference now was that he caught the bullet with ease.
The Dragon Balls' owner ran back behind his desk and pushed a button. A sphere of some kind of tinted glass covered the three of them and the fourth guy barely made it in on time.
Huh.
Well, that didn't seem very nice.
And the guy was taunting him to try and break it sooo…
He poked a finger through. Sure enough, it was that easy to shatter.
The guy then tried to make General Tao to try and get rid of him.
But now what? He needed the Dragon Balls, but he couldn't just take them. That'd be rude.
"Yes you can," Raditz said, and oh, he must have said that out loud.
Raditz's reassurance didn't really help because well, Raditz was better now but that didn't really mean he was the nicest person still.
"I wish we could make this a fair trade…"
But Goku couldn't think of anything that would make it fair…
"Why don't we play a little game then?"
Goku looked up at the General.
He removed his mechanical hind to reveal, pieces of metal?
"Why, would you just have those there?" Raditz questioned still leaning on the wall.
General Tao talked as if he hadn't heard, "if you can untangle all three of these puzzles in three hours, we will give you our Dragon Balls. If not, then you'll hand over your's"
Well, that seemed fairer than anything. Goku could have come up with…
"Are you really gonna believe someone who tried to kill you?" Raditz said from behind him.
"Huh? Kill? Sure we fought a couple times but- well there was that bomb, hey we're you trying to kill me?"
"Uh, no?"
"Kakarot I swear if you believe him-"
"I wasn't gonna!" Goku said. Even if it wasn't completely-
"Wait hold on," Raditz was saying again, "you also see the problem with this right?" Raditz was talking around him now, talking directly to Tao.
"…that the child-"
"Yeah alright. It's not just me," Raditz cut Tao off.
"…what are-"
"Don't worry about it," Raditz cut him off this time.
…well that was weird. But not what was important! He needed the Dragon Balls!
"So uh, the puzzles?"
"The- oh yes! The puzzles. Here you are," General Tao handed him the metal wire puzzles, and one of the other guys brought over a chair.
General Tao took and hung up his jacket and hung it up for him.
"Well, we wouldn't want to be a distraction, so we shall take out leave," Tao said as Goku began to focus on the puzzles.
"And he's taking the Dragon Balls. And the Radar. And they're leaving. And you're an idiot."
Goku ignored Raditz. Obviously he knew Tao was being a sneak, he could feel his intentions. But just because Tao was cheating didn't mean he had to.
He could just Instant Transmission to him later.
Raditz obviously knew that too since he also just let Tao leave.
Besides, the little puzzles were pretty fun. Though he had to be careful not to break them.
They were tricky though. They took longer than he expected. It took almost the full three hours.
Raditz looked about ready to strangle him. Especially after he'd denied his help.
But he got them! That was what was important!
So He found General Tao's energy and Instant Transmissioned to them.
He found them relaxing by a river. Which sounded kinda nice actually…but they still had two Dragon Balls to find. After the now five that they had!
And Tao and the guy handed them over really easily. They seemed kinda surprised that he found them.
The last two were way easier to find.
He brought Raditz back to Capsule Corp and once again, he paused before leaving. He wandered through until he found Dr. Brief's animal sanctuary.
Ocari was there.
"Hey, someone wanted to see you."
He brought Ocari with him up to the lookout. And while the kids once again reintroduced themselves, and the Dragon Balls were on standby, Goku was feeling a bit better about the Cell Games himself.
