Okie, a bit of tying up of loose ends here

thewittywhy: fun shenanigans be happening. Keeping Zangya though was one of the primary reasons for the movie

Zweig: ah, no, sorry

KalAeon: It's a good movie. I'd place it just under the Cooler movie personally.
And SS4 is just a lot stronger than 2 or 3 so SIGohan has no real need to go after them. It would be more convienent, especially with the limitations I've put on the transformation but those limitations were just so SS4 wasn't too terribly OP later on
And writing Goku is hard man. It's so hard to get the vibe(TM)

Reishin Amara: Nope, while true Bojack and co wasn't literally trapped in King Kai's planet, it was still connected to his planet...somehow, I guess

Phreak91: I like Videl so she will be included.

Nevermourned: Who's to say

Qinlongfei: Keeping Zangya was the main reason I kept this movie, though I do also like the movie. Raditz reaching Super Sayain was the second reason.
And yeah that's a fair reading I'd say. I do think he was in pretty heavy denial for, most of his time in Z though. The fact that Mr Satan actually is absurdly strong in any real world sense is an unappreciated part of his character

Bulma-

Bulma didn't mind another person staying at Capsule Corp, really. Sure it would have been nice if Raditz asked if this Zangya woman could stay but fine, what's one more intergalactic serial killer living under her roof?

Ok still technically her father's roof, but he was planning on retiring in the next couple of years so it'd be left to her to run the place.

At least this woman didn't just stalk around brooding like Raditz did for the first few months. Like Vegeta was currently doing.

Actually, the woman might be good for Raditz. Apparently, he had reached out to her directly. She'd have called it out of character but hey, that just shows how much he must have grown since first being brought back.

Well, as long as things look stable she won't interfere much. Besides, it's about time Raditz got a person of his own to be close to, instead of just half associating with hers and Goku's friends. There was Nappa and- well actually just Nappa. Vegeta got along with Raditz about as well as anyone else, that being not. But there was still some kind of tension between him and Nappa that she could only make assumptions about. This Zangya person was entirely new with no mysterious history to deal with.

It'll be good for him.

Pigero-

Pigero hated feeling helpless.

He hated seeing a kid hanging around with scars over her knuckles and occasional bruising that was always gone by the next day.

He hated to see faint scars that would often fade. He hated seeing that one scar over her shoulder when she'd wear a t-shirt with sleeves just a bit too short. He'd still never seen the full scar. He didn't want to.

He hated that her closest friend was the son of the Demon King. And he knew that he couldn't be too bad if she trusted him, but it didn't make him feel any better when his concerns were brushed off.

But fine. Whatever. As far as he was aware Piccolo had never done anything outside of the 23rd world tournament, which was a tournament, and a Pigero doesn't think it technically broke any rules. He shouldn't judge based on the actions of his father alone.

What can be judged though is that uncle that Goh seems to like for, absolutely no reason? The man kidnapped her, and piecing things between interactions and making a couple assumptions, Pigero's pretty sure he was the one who killed her dad that first time?

Of course, he was also pretty sure that the uncle also died if he goes with those explanations and that just, adds more layers of confusion.

Maybe Ena was right about her idea of just starting a board to keep track of this stuff.

And if that's the kind of person who she likes, Pigero can't even begin to imagine what this "Vegeta" guy did to make her dislike him.

It would be one thing if he could just ask her, but he can't. Because sure, he could read through her lies fairly well but that doesn't matter much when she just, doesn't explain. He knows that whatever stories she's told have been watered down. That she never tells the full story. Even in the middle of telling some stories she'll pause and think over responses before saying anything.

But when she said that she wasn't going to fight Cell, it didn't matter how upset she looked when she said it, he was relieved. Because that was definitely one monster that she shouldn't have been anywhere near. It destroyed several cities and hunted down their residents. It blew up another to make an example. And maybe the rest of the world was happy to accept the bomb stories from Mr. Satan, but he knew better. He's seen Goh use the same glowing energy beams from her own hands, though on a much smaller scale. He's seen her fly. He can fly. She's even been showing him the energy beams or blasts or whatever.

So yeah, he was glad when she said that she wasn't going to fight. And he knew at least at that moment that she wasn't lying.

So what changed? What could have changed that had her asking a cameraman to shut off the camera after her father had already fought and after his skills were displayed?

Or, best they could on such a camera.

The only explanation that he could think of was that she had fought that monster.

Despite saying that she wouldn't.

And it didn't matter that she might have won.

Or that she had zero injuries when she visited a couple days after. (She let him worry for days afterwards)

That wasn't the point. The point was that she said she wouldn't. The point was that she was a kid. She was a kid and she shouldn't have to deal with monsters or fighting. The adults should be doing that. So why were the adults in her life letting her fight?

She was the one who told him that they needed adults back when he was a stupid teenager. So why are the ones in her life so seemingly useless?

As far as he was aware the only one that has any opposition to it is her mother.

And the only person that seems to know she's, a girl is Piccolo. Which, is an entire other can of worms that he has no idea how to deal with-

And the worst part is- she didn't seem to care. Goh didn't seem to care that she was shoved into fights and even her apparent closest friend doesn't mind her running into danger. She jokes about her uncle having kidnapped her. The only thing she seemed upset about during the whole Cell thing was when she thought she couldn't do anything.

But she shouldn't have had to.

She shouldn't have had to deal with any of it. She should have had to feel like she had to do anything about it.

She was just a kid.

She should have been allowed to just be a kid.

Raditz-

Raditz hated a lot of things.

There were few things he hated more than that wretched "training."

Which, at this point, he only tolerated it so that he could figure out how the stupid Super Sayain thing works.

He'd much rather be at Capsule Corp, sharing information with Zan about this bullshit planet, but he also hates knowing that he can access that power and having no idea how.

"I swear- if you say anything about emotions one more time-"

The brat was no less infuriating as they all but flaunted that annoyingly blonde hair.

"Ok ok, not emotions. Uh, ok so- this isn't really the best way to learn, but you've already gotten there once so it should be fine."

The brat rocked on their heels as they spoke, before nodding to themselves.

"Right, so, when I transform, now that I can do so consistently, I focus on this spot on the back of my neck," the brat pointed behind their head, "I just push energy through there until it tingles, or kinda burns, then, blonde hair, exponential power, ext ext."

Raditz muttered to himself, but at least those instructions made some kind of sense. It still didn't come easy, taking far much more of the day than he'd ever hope to waste, but at least it was done and over with-

"Hey! Now that that's done you know what else we can do?" The brat had an impish grin that promised annoyance and general mischief.

Against his better judgment, he asked, "what?"

"You could get The Ultimate! You'd need to learn like, literally perfect control over the Oozaru, but it's totally-" the brat rambled on and Raditz grimaced about the amount of training what the brat was saying would entail.

Even worse, it'd include the Oozaru, and Raditz hated being that out of control. He knew, technically, that using it more would establish control, but he hated the time it took. He hated the effort it entailed.

He hated not having control over himself.

"No." He stated, with no room for question.

"You'd be stronger than Vegeta~"

That, made him pause. That, was certainly a tempting prospect, but no. That didn't change any of his earlier issues, and besides that-

"I don't care about being stronger than Vegeta."

It felt wrong to say. Wrong to admit. He immediately wanted to take it back.

He didn't.

Because it was true, he didn't care. He liked being stronger than people. He'd probably go through a crisis or two if any more of Kakarot's friends got stronger than he was.

But the gap between him and Vegeta was wider than ever. Let alone the one between him and Kakarot. The only way he could close that gap would be through the child's "Ultimate" form.

And he didn't want it.

He couldn't explain why, but, the power didn't appeal to him. Especially with all the effort and time it'd require.

He especially wanted to take it back when a nauseatingly soft smile spread on the child's face, "well good for you."

He scoffed and left.

There was only so much of the brat he could tolerate in one day after all.

Seventeen-

Well that was a shitshow. He didn't even know where to begin unpacking all that had happened with Cell once he and Eighteen found a place to settle.

He'd have included Sixteen, but as much as the big guy seemed to love it out here, in a little abandoned cabin they fixed up far enough from civilization that the animals had no issue coming up to people, he still ended up going back to that Capsule Corp place half the time.

Seventeen didn't get it. They found a place that should have been perfect for him. Full of animals and ones that liked people at that. And sure they had helped him or whatever, but Seventeen couldn't understand why he'd want to go anywhere near a building full of scientists.

But it's fine. Whatever. He wasn't in charge of the big guy. It was cool he was doing his own thing now and not just following him and Eighteen around.

Sixteen still came around here a lot. There'd have to be some pretty major malfunction to keep him away from the little critters for long.

And now he was thinking about those scientists messing with Sixteen somehow.

No, he'll be fine. The big guy can take care of himself. Even if he can be too trusting…it'll be fine.

He didn't really think much about the whole, future thing. He told his sister about it, of course, she has the right to know what he did, and it'd be bad if she found out somewhere else.

But other than that, he kinda just, dismissed it. It didn't really matter, and he obviously didn't have all the information so, why dwell? It's not like it could happen again anyway.

Speaking of his sister though, she seemed to be getting more and more distracted with every day.

It started with the occasional letter, back and forth. She'd usually try to hide them but he always noticed, at least when he was in the house he did.

Then, she started leaving. For a few hours at a time, no more than an afternoon. And it only got more frequent.

Which was fine. It was fine. She was totally allowed to do that. It's not like he stayed here all day. It was better that she had something to do than just read and complain.

But still, that didn't mean he wasn't curious. Was she seeing someone? She'd have to be to go out of her way to hide it.

But hiding it only made him more curious still. Which was probably what lead him to following her one day, at enough of a distance that he wouldn't be spotted of course.

And, he frowned when sure enough he saw her meeting up with the short guy, Krillin.

Honestly, he questioned her taste. She could get just about any guy she wanted and she chose-

Seventeen sighed. She, could have chosen a worse guy he supposed. At least he was pretty sure that that bleeding heart wouldn't go out of his way to hurt her or anything like that.

But now it was just boring watching them wander about some mall doing whatever date thing people did. The guy obviously adored his sister so unless something happened he couldn't even fault him for anything.

He was about to leave when he spotted another spy poking around a corner.

He wander around and went unnoticed as Gohan was humming some song he didn't recognize.

Kid must have been pretty distracted, he was usually pretty aware of when people were around, but he didn't even notice when Seventeen was standing just a couple feet behind him.

So, taking advantage of the rare opportunity, he leaned over, "whatcha doin?" He asked, and got the startled reaction he wanted.

He was debating about if he should have been concerned that the default reaction was to fall into his loose fighting stance but he didn't get very far in that before the kid had recovered and responded.

"What are you doing?" Despite his defensive response, there was no suspicion in his voice.

"Hey now, I asked first."

"Watching," he looked back over at Eighteen and Krillin, a telling grin in the moment of distraction. But then he refocused and was asking him again.

Seventeen tilted his head, it made sense that Son Gohan would be close to Krillin. Krillin had been friends with Son Goku in childhood, at the very least he probably had a family friend status.

He, didn't like that he knew that without ever learning about it.

"Watching," Seventeen answered the question back in turn, "sabotage if necessary," he said more to get a rise out of the kid than anything.

A frown and an eye roll wasn't quite what he was going for but whatever.

And almost immediately kid just returned to spying as if he wasn't there.

Seventeen took a breath. Not only was he not going to let the kid get to him in public, or where his sister could catch him at the very least, he also just, wasn't going to let the kid get to him anymore in general.

Or at least he'd try.

"How'd you follow them out here anyway?" He asked. Because it was one thing for him, he was a master of stealth after all- but Gohan was more likely to be noticed if he just followed normally

"Huh? Oh, I didn't. I just followed Krillin's energy after the fact."

"Followed his energy?"

"Yeah, sensing. It's a thing."

Well, that was informative.

It must be similar to Sixteen's power sensor, but like, for humans.

He stuck on one detail however, "just Krillin's?" He asked.

Eighteen is the stronger one between them after all, he'd think it'd be easier to follow her that way. Though the kid is closer to the guy so it made sense if he recognized his easier.

So why did the kid seem to be debating how to respond?

"Right, uh, I can't, really sense your's or Eighteen's Ki, like, at all? I dunno it's kinda weird."

Oh. Huh. Guess that explains why he was so startled when Seventeen snuck up on him.

"That figures," he muttered.

He's not even sure what Gero could have done to mess with their "ki" or whatever. 'Course he doesn't really know how ki works either but apparently Gero messed with it.

And now Gohan was looking up at him instead of the spying thing which Seventeen liked it better when he was doing that actually.

"…think, I could still learn how to do that sensing thing?" He asked, even though he probably couldn't and he probably should have just changed the subject instead.

But now the kid was frowning in thought, "maybe? I think so. I don't actually know," he said, as if he expected to know one way or another.

Weird kid.

"Eh, I'll figure it out," he waved the kid off.

Seventeen glanced around the corner, and it was a good thing he did since the two were heading in their direction.

He grabbed Gohan by the collar and ducked behind a wall just before they would have been spotted.

Master of Stealth he was.

And of course he had to grab the kid because if he was caught he probably would have ratted Seventeen out too. Can't have that.

But, Seventeen was getting bored again.

Eighteen's little date seemed to be going well.

She'd, probably keep leaving more and more often. Probably move out, at some point.

He should, probably find something else to do too. Or else he'd probably end up permanently bored.

Worse fate than death.

So uh, who's ready for a time skip?
