Sleepless D: Hinata is facing against Neji to show the elders of her family what she is capable of. Sorry for the delay, but college stuff, you know. Well here it is. Peace out.

Update from realising how long it's been: Holy shit, I did not realise how long it's been, I apologise greatly and I really hope it won't take this long again. Peace out.

Hinata and Neji stand in the Hyuga training grounds inside the Hyuga Compound. The elders are watching from the distance, along with Hinata's father and sister. The branch members are also watching, but are acting as servants at the present time.

Most of Konoha 11 are on a tall building near the Hyuga Compound, some with binoculars and one or two with a sign board. "So who do you think will win?" Choji asks, eating from a packet of crisps.

"Neji." Tenten says without a moment hesitation while looking through a binocular.

"Yeah...probably..." Kiba says with his arm in a sling and seems to be in some pain, but Sakura and Ino were making sure he didn't hurt himself since he did get kicked by Hinata and dislocated his arm. A whine comes from Akamaru and Shino feeling worry. "But I don't know now..."

"It has been a year. Hinata has improved greatly." Shino says, looking at a few of his parasites on his hand. He notices their behaviour and knew something was wrong with Hinata, but he doesn't know.

"Well hopefully it won't be like how it ended last time..." Sakura says, remembering Hinata nearly died.

"Probably not, Neji has mellowed out and hasn't badmouthed the family." Shikamaru says, laying on the roof and watching the clouds.

Lee nods to this. "I have to agree with Shikamaru. Neji has given up on taking revenge on his family and stopped bad mouthing Hinata, Hanabi or their father...IT'S SO YOUTHFUL!." Lee cries, smiling greatly.

"Shhh! They're about to begin!" Ino yells and watches through her binoculars.

Neji and Hinata face each other with emotionless faces. Neji gets into a more serious and expert stance of Gentle Fist. Hinata on the other hand seems to be a more amateurish version of that stance. Neji seems somewhat confused by this and some of the elders in the distance also notice this.

Neji and Hinata watch each other for a minute, though it feels like a day. Neji launches forward, acting first and closes the gap between the two and launches his right palm towards her. Hinata moves her left palm and pushes Neji's palm away and launches her right palm at his stomach. Neji twists his body slightly, managing to avoid contact.

Hinata twists to the left, her back quickly facing him as he goes to attack with his left palm. Neji's eyes caught sight of Hinata's left elbow heading his way faster than his hand was going. He quickly kicks himself back and narrowly avoids the collision from his face and the elbow.

Hinata continues to spin and small steps to get closer to Neji. She jumps a little and does a midair roundhouse kick for Neji's head. But he ducks and thrusts his palm towards her. Hinata's skin suddenly turns blue and Neji's eyes widen in slight surprise and quickly moves back to avoid collision.

Hinata explodes into a blue, spinning sphere and Neji narrowly avoids contact and the ground below her is torn to shreds by the sphere. Hinata's Rotation stops and she lands on the soft dirt and looks at Neji.

Neji is somewhat impressed that she mastered Rotation and managed it in midair. Hinata goes back in her awkward stance and the two watch each other.

In the distance, the elders seemed impressed since she couldn't use Rotation a year ago because she had too little chakra to be capable of performing it. "Hinata has gotten better." Hanabi notes aloud, watching her sister greatly and wonders if she'll even manage to hit Neji. Hiashi nods at this and keeps watching as the fight continues and Neji lances forth.

Neji keeps on his thrusting his palms at Hinata, but she avoids every blow. Neji sees Hinata jump back, avoiding all his attacks by giving distance. Neji stops and pulls his palm back; he quickly thrusts it forward and makes an Air Palm attack. Hinata quickly pulls her palm back and thrusts as well and creates an Air Palm attack as well which collides with Neji's.

The air between the two attacks compresses, the ground beneath starts blowing rapidly and tearing through. Dirt flies, worms die and the roots are on fire by the power given. The two attacks explode, causing Hinata and Neji to fly back. Hinata quickly pulls out a knife with a wire on it and throws it at a tree, making it loop round it and she starts swinging round. The wire grinds against the tree, smoke coming and the wire obviously cutting through the tree as she swings round. Neji on the other hand crashes into some bushes, yet lands on his feet and skids across the ground.

Hinata releases the wire and Hinata lands back on the field. She takes a breath and brushes one of her cheeks with her forearm. She waits for a minute and sees Neji walking out of the bushes, some dirt on his clothes.

Neji and Hinata look at each other, both remaining emotionless and both get into a similar stance. They look at each other and get into a more familiar stance. They both yell in union, "Eight Trigrams – Sixty Four Palm!" They both yell, shooting towards each other and the two collide, both throwing the tip of their fingers at each other.

Hiashi seems somewhat shocked since Hinata only learnt the basics of the weakest form of that stance. Yet somehow accomplished the standard version without instructions, however amateurish it is.

Hinata and Neji finish their final blows, not able to land one blow on each other. Hinata quickly flips backwards and her foot colliding with Neji's chin. Neji starts flying back a little, but he sends the tips of his fingers into the leg of Hinata, but only just missed a chakra point.

The two land ten feet away from each other, both glaring at each other before they shoot at each other again. Neji becoming more aggressive towards his attacks, finally managing to do a few blows, but Hinata also managed to give a few blows and the two jump away, both breathing deeply. Neji more than Hinata since her chakra levels seem to be higher than his, which wasn't the case last time they fought.

Neji looks carefully with his Byakugan and quickly charges, acting as though he was about to reengage with her. She goes to do the same, but Neji thrusts his palm at her, using Air Palm which collides with her. She flies backwards, flipping backwards and lands on her feet, but skids across the ground, coughing hard and looks, seeing Neji launch a few more towards her. Hinata quickly jumps and spins, creating another Rotation Jutsu which is collided with the Air Palm attacks. She is sent across the grounds and her sphere collides with a few trees. The trees are obliterated and the Air Palm attacks that didn't collide with the sphere fully, the edges per say cause more damage to the trees. The sphere dies down and Hinata stands there, coughing a little and rubs her chest while a little blood runs from her lip which a section of popped.

Hinata cracks her neck, her eyes becoming still and her eyes changing slightly, her eye's centre open to show a hair of pupils. She licks her bloody lip and spits before vanishing, the spit still falling.

Neji's eyes widen and quickly raised both his arms as an automatic reaction. A palm smashes into one of his forearm, causing him to stagger back, but he recovers quickly and sees both of Hinata's palms fly at him. He quickly brushes those two attacks, leaving her arms apart. He goes to attack her central chakra area, but Hinata's forehead smashes into his face, popping his nose and blood running from it.

Neji quickly smashes the tip of his finger into her shoulder, hitting a chakra point and causing Hinata's right arm to go limp. Neji goes to close another chakra point, but Neji sees Hinata's foot move faster than he could react and smashes into his toes, breaking a few of them.

Neji stumbles backwards in pain, quickly blocking one of Hinata's attacks. Quickly ducking under Hinata who does a high, round house kick to collide with his head, but Neji avoided it. Neji is slightly shocked that Hinata is being a brute at fighting and ignoring the Hyuga way of fighting. Neju quickly backs away, becoming slightly cautious and tries to gain a small amount of distance. However, Hinata kept up the assault and Neji, keeping up several Gentle Fist blows.

Neji quickly releases chakra and a blue aura blocks Hinata's attack and he starts spinning. The sphere collides with Hinata, causing her to be launched backwards, a bit of her clothing being shredded as she it hit by the sphere and hits the ground. The sphere stops and Hinata begins to get up, but Neji emerges from the small amount of smoke and collides with Hinata. "Two palms, four palms, eight palms, sixteen palms, thirty-two palms, sixty-four palms, one hundred twenty-eight palms." Neji says, colliding with Hinata's chakra points, sealing them. Hinata flies backwards and rolls across the ground.

The Hyuga members mutter something, seemingly annoyed that Neji just used the Main Branch's Jutsu against one of the heirs. Hiashi lowers his eyes, slightly irritated that Neji used that stance against his daughter, and disappointed that Hinata lost. "What the..." Hanabi whispers, making Hiashi look up to see Hinata stand again, a bit shaky, very shaky in fact.

Hinata stands up, wobbling as she looks at Neji. Neji looks somewhat surprised and worried, believing that she shouldn't be standing. Hinata's pupils start to shrink and she starts falling forward and her eyes close. Her foot suddenly shoots forward and stops herself from falling, her shaking disappearing and she just stands there, not moving.

Neji looks at her, seeing her chakra points unseal themselves and a darker shade of chakra runs through her. She looks up and most of her eye isn't lavender anymore, they're pure black which make's Neji's spine shiver and she moves her hand slowly to the front of her and thrusts it gently. The air seems to becoming thick and Neji is hit by something and sent flying back. A majority of the trees behind him vaporise, exploding as Neji flies into it.

Hinata stands there for a few seconds, her eyes returning back to its normal form and she coughs a little. She looks round and starts walking away, losing interest and the Hyuga clan look in shock, surprised by the chakra amount she just used, even after having her chakra sealed. Hiashi's eyes are wide, shocked at how far his daughter has come in a single year.

Those of Konoha 11 stand on the roof, looking in shock as Hinata walks away, having taken out Neji and a large section of forest. "...What school did she go to again?" Choji asks, seeing her power.

Shikamaru looks on with shock, knowing that what she did now and what her capabilities were before, it shouldn't be possible, not even in Lee's standards.

"What the hell just happened?" Tenten asks, looking through the binoculars.

"I believe Neji lost. Why you ask? Because the amount of chakra we felt from the attack was even higher than Neji, and the destructive power would've disabled him, even momentarily." Shino tells them, feeling his parasites shiver in fear by the sense of chakra emitted from Hinata.

Ino and Sakura are gobsmacked by the display of power she presented, and those two believed that they'd be more capable than Hinata for a long time. Tenten and Lee are staring in disbelief, unsure how Hinata managed to do what she did in such a short amount of time.

Hinata steps onto the streets, looking down it to see Susumu and Eri waiting nearby. She wonders to them and sees Susumu fiddling with some items he's stolen while Eri appears to be meditating. "You did well...not many are capable of Black Out the first few years of training."

Hinata nods, remembering that Black Out is a power to those that Drink from The Rift's water. Those that experience Black Out lose their conscious mind and it's said their power increases tenfold. There are rumours that the tutors of the Academy lost their conscious mind long ago and work solely on the Black Out.

"We best return to Midori." Susumu says as a side note, looking through his pockets for the things he's stolen.

Eri nods in response, soon about to stand up, but freezes in shock and stays there for a few moments. "I'll never get use to that..." She whispers in fear and stands up.

Susumu looks baffled as he looks at Eri. "What do you-" He began, but his mouth is covered and a knife presses against his neck.

"You been behaving?" A voice whispers in his ear, making him panic slightly as he sees a metal mask with yellow eye sockets.

Hinata looks, not acting surprised. "Hello Strife Sensei..."

"Hello pale one." Strife chuckles', looking round and takes a breath before motioning them to follow him. They do so, knowing that Konoha 11 are following, seeing the older one appearing as if from nowhere and grew curious.

The four walk into a nearby alley, getting out of sight for a moment before everyone followed on the rooftops. They see a sudden flash of blue and when they get to the place they should be, Shino and Ino were baffled, having just lost their position. Sakura, Choji, Lee and Tenten followed and suddenly look confused, seeing no trace of them, which surprises them.

"They're good." Tenten says, wanting to know how Hinata managed to beat Neji and gain the level she showed during the fight.

Midori stands on the head of the Hokage Mountain. She looks to the side, seeing a flash of blue and Strife appears with the three students and all of them stagger slightly, nearly falling off the stone head. Strife starts coughing hard and lifts his mask and starts coughing up blood before placing his mask back on.

"What the fuck was that?!" Susumu yells, nearly falling off and looks at Strife. "What the fuck was that!? Seriously!"

Eri is shaking a large amount, slowly putting herself down and lies on the ground, feeling sick. Hinata pinches her nose, feeling sick and unsure what just happened. "We've got what we wanted, and now we just got to finish one last job."

Susumu shakes slightly, looking around and sees the village below and smirks. "Quite a view." He says, slowly getting back up to the top.

"What job?" Hinata asks, getting over feeling sick and looks at Eri, feeling nothing for her since she's lost sense of direction.

"Simple." Midori tells them and looks at Strife. "Someone in this village wants to know what Strife is." Midori tells them, making Susumu and Hinata look at Strife.

"Other than a complete cunt?" Susumu asks in confusion.

Strife kicks Susumu, nearly pushing him off the cliff. "No, I am part of a dead clan." Strife tells him.

"And?" Susumu asks, getting irritated and kicks a loose rock at him. The rock narrowly misses Strife and he simply kicks a rock at him and hits. "Fuck you Strife!"

"You just saw me use my Kekkei Genkai." Strife tells him, smirking under his mask.

"Yeah...teleportation?" Susumu asks, looking down at the village.

Strife chuckles and looks at Susumu. "No, it's similar, but no." Strife says and cracks his knuckles. "We're going to hit a Leaf organisation called Root."

Hinata looks his way, a little confused, never hearing of this group. "You fucking kidding me?" Susumu asks, sounding irritated.

"What?" Midori asks, sounding somewhat interested.

"Those bastards tried to abduct me a few times. They're one of the reasons I hate being in one place. Fucking jack asses." Susumu tells them. "Right...where the fuck are they?" Susumu asks, looking irritated.

Strife chuckles and stares at him. "We're already being watched by them already." Strife says, quickly jumping as shadows start shooting their way. Susumu and Hinata look, seeing the shadow and both shoot away to avoid it. Susumu diving off the cliff to avoid it while Hinata keeps skidding across the Hokage heads. Midori quickly pulls out two katana and they become emblazed with lava and flames. She spins round and swipes her katanas in the air, causing a blade of flames to shoot out and cut across the round, causing the shadows to stop momentarily.

Eri has yet to move and Midori curses in annoyance and dives at her and kicks her, causing her to go flying and skids across the Third Hokage's head and nearly slides off. Midori is caught and her flaming katanas to go out, cursing under her breath.

The shadows rip from the ground and fly towards the shadows of the others. Susumu gets out of reach fast as he plummets towards the ground. Hinata was keeping on her feet, avoiding all shadows, Eri is soon caught and the shadows were pressing onto Strife who remains in mid air. Strife smirks and flashes blue before vanishing from existence. A few moments later, the shadows immediately vanish and a few explosions occur within the woods nearby.

Strife is currently avoiding several kunai and shuriken being thrown at him. He quickly throws a bloody blade in a random direction which flashes blue, vanishing from sight. He quickly lowers himself and grabs something from the smoky ground and swings round, having half a body swing round and collides with something. The smoke clears some more and half a dozen ANBU are engaging Strife in combat.

Strife continues to block, avoid and hitting the ANBU with half a body. He quickly grabs an ANBU's katana, avoiding getting hit and smirks under his mask as a ANBU goes to stab Strife in the back with a curved kunai. The ANBU suddenly feels pain in his insides and a knife erupts from his back, causing blood to splatter across the ground before hitting the ground.

The other ANBU quickly go to disable him, katana, kunai and tanto. Strife quickly sends his foot down and causes the legs to split apart and more blood/organs splatter across the ground. He spins round, having a leg hit a katana out of the way and throws the other leg at them, but it flashes blue and vanishes.

Strife clenches his fist and goes to smash his fist into one of the ANBU while the remaining four ANBU go to attack him. A flaming katana appears from the remaining smoke, stabbing into one of the ANBU and causes them to erupt into flames and scream in horror and pain before his head is severed.

One ANBU looks at Midori, quickly doing hand signs and rushes towards her. Midori spins round and swipes her katana, causing a flaming blade to shoot towards the ANBU. The ANBU finishes his hand signs and thrusts both hands at the attack, causing a large amount of air to build up and fire, colliding with the attack and the flames suddenly explode and fly back since the Wind Jutsu overpowered the attack. Midori curses and quickly swings her katana up, having it collide and the flames shoot upwards, avoiding her entirely. Midori looks, seeing another ANBU appear before her and thrusts his palm at her, causing a solid force to collide with her and sent her flying. She quickly swings her blades, causing flaming blades to fly at the two. The ANBU quickly spins and a blue sphere erupts and blocks the attacks.

Midori curses and flips, aiming to land on her feet. She catches something, confusing her before something explodes and wire wraps round her. She feels it stab into her skin and starts feeling pulses of electricity course through her while absorbing her chakra. She yells in pain and annoyance as she tries to break out, but the pulses of electricity is causing her body to spasm and her blade go back to normal, very quickly.

Strife continues to dodge attacks, avoiding everything and seems to be enjoying himself, coughing every now and then. The ANBU that used Rotation appears, aiming to deal with Strife and thrusts his palm forward. A blue flash occurs and a leg smashes into his skull, causing him to hit the ground as the leg lands near him.

The ANBU feels dizzy and looks up, surprised that a severed leg appeared from nowhere and goes to continue the attack. He yelps in shock and quickly rolls away as a small foot flies down and nearly crushes his head. He quickly rolls to his feet, quickly tapping away to hands as they try to tap him and sees Hinata. She launches at the ANBU, but he quickly starts blocking and retaliates, being quicker than Hinata and sealing a few of her chakra points immediately.

Strife flashes blue, vanishing and reappears before the ANBU, kicking him in the face and goes to attack again, but stops. He looks at his gloved hands, appearing confused and soon sees purple blotches appear, spreading across his body. "Well that's interesting." He says, flinching in pain and looks, seeing the ANBU circle him and keep their weapons focused on his group.

"Lord Danzo has been hunting for you for many years." The leading ANBU says, seeing Strife's body slowly be consumed by nano-sized parasites. He looks at one of the other ANBU. "Make sure we leave nothing behind. The targets caused too much destruction to go unnoticed."

Strife chuckles a little and holds up his arms, shaking slightly. "Take me...to your leader."

Hinata struggles as the ANBU that attacked her continues the assault to seal more chakra points, having more experience than her and more physically capable than she is now. She falls to the ground, soon feeling a cold feeling and her pupils start opening again, she looks up, but is soon met by a boot. Said boot collides with hers, causing her to slam back and her skull collides with the rocky surface, knocking her out.
