Of course, out of all the people it could have been it was Merlin, it was always Merlin, she thought distastefully kicking his limp body which had rolled beside Gwen's.

She contemplated what to do with him, she couldn't just kill him she needed him to feel the pain she had, the fear of hiding who she truly was along with the betrayal, to be disgusted in himself for what he had done.

Little did she know Merlin already felt all of these things.

Tying both of them up by their wrists I waited for dawn to come by catching up on some well needed food, my days as the beauty of the land were long gone, perhaps not forever though if I could conquer Camelot, which I would.

Just as dawn struck, I walked over and stroked Gwen's cheek waking her up, "Good Morning My Lady,"

Gwen quickly sat up and whirled around on Morgana with a horrified look on her face as she realized her hands were tied, "What do you want with me?"

"I thought we could play a little game," responded Morgana coolly with a small smirk on her smug face.

"A game?" questioned Gwen possibly stalling though her attention was solely on Morgana, hopelessly trying to break herself free from her restraints and scattering the leaflitter.

"Just to find out how much Arthur loves you," said Morgana more nastily and getting up in her face.

"It won't work," said Gwen, shaking her head.

"You underestimate his feelings?" I questioned knowing very well he would do this, he had saved her from nearly impossible danger a couple of times, he could do it again.

"He's not stupid." stated Gwen

"We'll see,"

"He'll know you'd taken me; he will know it's a trap," protested Guinevere.

"He will. But he'll still come."

Guinevere glared venomously at Morgana when she turned to look away from her and noticed Merlin, "What did you do to him?!"

Pure hearted Guinevere, never forgetting to care about others, except when it came to her oldest friend. Still Morgana kept her cool, soon they will be together again, and Merlin would be out of the picture, or maybe I'd string him along as well, just to see the expression on Arthur's face.

"Nothing… yet," I said ominously before my eyes flashed gold again, "Onwaccan,"

Merlin's eyes popped open as I cast the spell.

~ Back in Camelot ~

Gaius was worried sick for Merlin, but he had to tend for Prince Arthur while he hoped the boy hadn't gotten over his head… again. He swore one of these days his poor old heart was going to give out.

Gaius paced back and forth, a nervous habit he had developed.

Arthur had awoken about an hour ago along with the others and was examining the wound he had on his leg. When he had first woken up though he had the largest fit.

"What happened?!" yelled Arthur still half asleep but quickly waking as it looked like he wanted to walk already.

"We came upon a nest of snakes, sire," said Elyan painfully from beside him, they were laying in hospital beds, all Gaius knew was that they were discovered by a patrol of knights and dragged back here.

"Where is Guinevere and Merlin!?" Arthur shouted, noticing they weren't there and trying to stand up despite his injuries, that annoying stubborn mule. Was he trying to make it worse? It was no wonder him and Merlin had found kinship in each other, neither could sit still for 5 minutes.

"Sire-" started Gaius despite knowing it was fruitless.

"Where are they?" he said but a little calmer, aka he wasn't trying to leap out the window immediately.

"I told her to get away… she fled, nobody knows where Merlin is though…" trailed off Elyan looking down feeling responsible for not keeping his little sister safe, he was a knight of Camelot for goodness sakes.

"Sire, you are in no condition to be walking," said Gaius pushing the King back down before hesitantly adding, "By any right you should be dead…"

"What are you talking about?"

"This was no accident, there is dark magic coursing through your veins, I believe this was the work of-"

"MORGANA!" yelled Arthur murderously already figuring it out already and attempting to get up again as Gaius tried to get him to lay back down, "Gaius, Merlin and Guinevere are out there with Morgana, Who Knows Where, probably being tortured I can't just lie back here!"

"Sire you are no use to Merlin or Guinevere half healed,"

After much convincing Arthur finally backed down, though he was determined to ride by tomorrow at the latest.

"We will bring them home," said Elyan, also fraught with worry as he and Arthur shared a glance.

~ In the Morning ~

The Knights of Camelot rode to find Guinevere early in the morning, Arthur usually felt proud when leading his Knights on a quest because it always showed Camelot's strength to onlookers and enemies alike.

Today was not such an occasion though, living without one of them was bad, living without both? He didn't think he could ever make it!

It didn't take long to find evidence of Guinevere, following her horses tracks we found the horse tied up to a tree as they examine the horses saddle finding the straps broken, there was still no evidence of Merlin, and Arthur was sure he saw Merlin got bitten by a snake, unless Morgana had retrieved him for what purpose though? He was just a servant! He had no part in any of this! It pained him so to see what his sister had become; she was once kind and fair and now he could hardly recognize her doing anything to get what she wanted even harming poor and innocent people.

"She must have been knocked from her mount by some force," commented Leon examining the broken straps.

"Here, tracks, they are heading East!" noticed Percival.

"Lets go," I commanded as we mounted our horses again and continued onward praying that they weren't too late.
