Morgana

~ Somewhere in the forests ~

Morgana was smiling in satisfaction at her two former friends struggling to keep up as she pulled on the ropes attached to their wrists, though the novelty wore off by the 3rd hour at this point they would never reach the tower.

By the 5th hour Guinevere collapsed on the forest floor and Merlin rushed to help her, such loyalty, she thought, wonder where that went when I needed help.

I dismounted off my horse and pulled out my waterskin pouch holding it in front of her as Gwen stares blankly and looks away slightly, "Here,"

"I don't want anything from you," said Gwen, still sounding breathless though as Merlin was staring at me suspiciously.

"Just my crown," I sneered in her face before shooting a glance at Merlin, "It's perfectly good water, afterall i'm not the type to use poison,"

Merlin flinched back visibly as if had been struck and fell silent looking at the ground as Guinevere wore a look of concern and curiosity. It was a good start, but it wasn't enough to satisfy me, they needed to suffer before I welcomed at least Gwen back with open arms. I doubted Merlin would ever make that list again, perhaps Arthur if he gave back what was rightfully hers, she would be a fairer ruler than Arthur could ever be.

"Drink it," I almost said in a demanding tone of voice still holding it out, Gwen didn't lean forward to take a sip, "You may need it,"

"Why?"

"I would not be in such a hurry to know," I smirked at her before turning my face neutral again and pouring the rest of the water out in front of her as she pretended not to care though I could see the desperation in her eyes as it flowed freely in front of her before I mounted the horse again and continued dragging them along.

Hours and hours passed and I figured the Knights were probably already out searching for them, they weren't going to find them for a long time though, long enough for me to completely and utterly break them.

We were traveling through the Desert now and there wasn't so much as a peep from both of them, just grunts and groans as I pulled them across difficult terrain where ahead there was a Dark Tower and there was a gasp from Merlin.

"Look familiar?" I sneered knowing full well he was bitten by the snake and therefore would have seen a vision of it.

Arthur

It was dark now and we could barely see the trail ahead of us, still we couldn't and wouldn't stop I couldn't stop worrying about what agony Guinevere and Merlin were in, I doubted that either could survive what Morgana probably had planned for them, meaning we had to find them as soon as possible.

"It's getting too dark," said Percival.

"We'll keep heading East," I proclaimed stubbornly, for all we knew they could be dead if we wasted a minute longer. Also the journey had felt strangely quiet without Merlin to be there to talk and lift everyone's spirits, it was sort of getting to everyone by now, even Guinevere's presence would have been a great relief to everyone.

"We have lost the trail," protested Leon.

"Then we will retrace the tracks," I said heading in the direction we came in as I heard the men call after me, though I knew they would follow me anyways and sure enough they did and started voicing their concerns.

"Morgana won't make it that easy to find them," said one.

"We can find them in the morning!"

"We won't find them if we can't find the trail," protested another as the others chimed in and I knew if I went off this time they would probably wait for me to get back, eventually I sighed and gave up looking out to the cold dark woods in front of me wondering if we had just gone a little bit longer if we could have found them.

Merlin

~ The Dark Tower ~

Morgana had tied me to the chair while she took Gwen to her "new room", definitely not how I wanted to spend my day, not at all, I knew I could bust us both out of here but what was the risk? If she found out I was Emrys...

Shaking my thoughts I reminded myself magic was a last minute resort, perhaps I could send a message out to them? An enchanted hawk maybe as a messenger that wouldn't be too suspicious right? If I could find a hawk... argh who am I kidding?

At least I knew Morgana probably wouldn't kill us, so there was no immediate danger though I had a sinking suspicion whatever she did to us would be even worse.

That was when it started a blood curdling shriek, though it wasn't Gwen's it sounded familiar though, and another, and another, I wanted so badly to clasp my hands to be ears as I struggled to block out the noise.

Morgana came back down but didn't seem to notice my uncomfort if she did though she probably thought it was because of what I thought the upcoming toture was.

She guided me up to a room in the Dark Tower, I complied wordlessly knowing it would be no use to ask questions. I would figure it out soon enough and pushed me in.

"Have fun," she said with an evil smirk closing the door, leaving me alone in the dark room where I could barely see my hands in front of my face, when I heard a familiar drip-drop, drip-drop.

"Mandrake root," I said breathlessly knowing first hand what it did to others minds as my head bumped into one still dripping with liquid silently preparing myself for what was to come though the shrieking in my ears made it nearly impossible to think, though I knew whatever I saw was not going to be pretty or if it was I thought thinking about Freya, it wasn't going to be pleasant and my mind had plenty to work off of as I sat down in the stony darkness threatening to swallow me whole.

Downstairs Morgana was ready to relish the first screams of the night.
