Arthur
The druids wouldent stay quiet as their savior was most likely being tortured in the Tower and if their suspicoons were correct, Morgana planned to enchant both of them using the Ritual of the Mandrake root and if Emrys was under the control of Morgana? Now that can't happen. Little did they know someone had already beaten them to it.
At night there was a crackling in the bushes, and the men awoke with a start with their swords drawn high, "Who's there?!"
"I am Q- Mab," said a blonde young woman with a strange hairstyle and an almost sinister voice that instantly fascinated Gwaine's eye. She knew that she couldn't announce herself like she would with Emrys if he was here, especially with their hatred of magic.
"What are you doing here?" said Arthur, his sword still drawn out which Mab easily smacked out of his hand.
"To offer assistance," she smirked, "Afterall I know the way to the Tower,"
"How would you know?"
"I live here,"
"Really?"
"Keeps away nosy neighbors," she said in amusement before continuing on, "The forest is but only one step of the journey,"
"How do we find our way out, beautiful," said Gwaine, attempting to flirt and showing almost zero interest.
"Oh little one. . .you should not have to ask. Left is right and right is left. And the way behind is the way ahead. It is simple," she smirked, answering their question to which she thought was a complete answer forgetting that humans were slow and narrow minded, even those with magic.
"Yeah… simple," scoffed Percival.
Deciding to ignore the way she worded it I asked another question thinking of Nimueh this time who had claimed she had known what he was looking for, "And why should we trust you?"
"Because you have no other choice!" she giggled with too much glee.
The others glanced uneasily at each other as she started to walk away calling over her shoulder, "Don't sit there all day, we have places to be, don't we?"
"How do you know what we are looking for?" I asked sharply knowing she was probably a witch, like Nimueh.
"Not many people come here for camping lessons, you know," she said once again in amusement as we reluctantly followed though we were still on high alert.
Guinevere
My breathing came out in short quick, scared breaths. Any time my thoughts quieted down enough for me to close my eyes their screams and laughter followed her. She felt like her head was going to burst.
Everywhere she turned was a black dripping nightmare, the tower room she was kept in felt like it was closing in on her, if she so much as moved her head black liquid would drop upon her and the mandrakes began screaming.
She didn't know how long she had been in there, hours? Days? Weeks? She prided herself on being strong but the slow melancholy dripping, terrifying visions, and dark walls was starting to get to her.
She might be going insane.
So when she heard the door creak open she didn't dare hope it was anything, just another cruel cruel trick. She didn't want to see any more visions… fake as they may be they still haunted her very soul. What if this place only told her the truth and this is what they really thought of her? Or maybe the place wanted her to think that so she wouldn't think it was a possibility and she would think it.
This was all so confusing, she couldn't think straight, why couldn't she think straight?
Out of the corner of her eye she saw a dark figure, she immediately whirled around to face it. The moment she saw who it was she felt her body moving before her mind could, Morgana slowly sauntered after her all with a sickly sweet smile.
She was trapped.
"I thought you might like to dine with me." said her former friend, hair matted beyond belief, in a different time with two very different people Gwen may have shrieked in horror wondering how her hair had gotten so bad and spent the rest of the evening trying to tame Morgana's curls.
That was long ago though. "Come on, you must eat, or you'll fade away." said Morgana slowly backing her up against the wall. Attempting to hide she darted behind a thick pillar, Morgana's eyes didn't leave her though, instead extending her arm.
I had little choice didn't I? If I refused she could hurt Merlin, if he was even still alive, she wasn't stupid, she had seen the odd bad blood between them, she wished she knew what it was about but Morgana was so angry nowadays… and Merlin had a talent for getting into trouble but at the same time fixing things. Perhaps he had gotten in Morgana's way one too many times.
She should have held out, defiantly refused, that was what a true queen should do but…
She took Morgana's hand, and she was yanked out of the safety of the pillar, "Your hands are cold. There's a warm fire going for you. Anything you want you can have."
I quickly pulled my hands away, I thought that would be it, Morgana wanted me to give up my will, I had, I had taken her hand, when would this madness be over?
She didn't stop, "I'll give it to you."
Her voice came out less of a demanding question and more of a wavering scared voice, at least it didn't shake, "Why are you doing this?
"Because we're friends. We always were." What was she playing at? Morgana had done nothing but cause me and all of Camelot strife these past few years. Still a part of her wanted to believe it, the irrational side that believed Morgana could be reasoned with, who wanted the old Morgana back.
"Leave me alone." She couldn't allow herself to hope.
"Gwen." she said softly as I bolted around the room, there was no escape, all I could do was talk to her, it was a living nightmare. She hoped it would go away like the others.
Arthur
The strange lady had disappeared, gone like a wisp in the breeze after she had led them through the forest chiming about vague rhymes of someone not surviving. They hadn't had any time questioning it because when they turned around she was gone.
Now they trekked through what seemed miles of desert, the forest had been treacherous and unbelievably frustrating but now they were left out in the open, defenseless to whatever might try to harm them led by who knows what. What if this was just an illusion and she had trapped us? Would they even know?
Percival was lagging behind, even Gwaine had shut up. The only thing keeping them going was the small tower in the distance, ever so slowly growing larger and larger with each step. Or at least that's what I liked to think, in reality it looked as if we hadn't gotten any closer.
Still they had to go on for Merlin and Guenivere, he just hoped it wasn't too late. Morgana clearly wanted him to go there but it's not as if he knew they would still be alive. So Morgana could have easily killed them.
He couldn't imagine life without them, Guinevere was his queen, beautiful and kind. If he had to wake up every morning without her, he'd go insane.
And as for Merlin?
If he stayed missing he'd be stuck with George.
Tell me how the Gwen portion sounded! :D I didn't really know how to portray her slowly falling into madness. She seems to hold strong for a while before we get a small time skip and she has turned, not much details to go off of.
