Nonette's Proposal
Todoh and the Four Holy Swords were in Zero's room within the mobile base waiting for the leader of the Black Knights. They didn't wait long as Zero entered along with Void.
"Thank you for waiting," Zero said.
"It's not a problem," Todoh said and then he looked at Void, "you're Void."
"Yes, it's a pleasure Todoh," Void said, "it's good to see you again."
"I see," Todoh said with a smile.
"Pardon my interruption," Urabe said, "do you actually know them sir?"
"I do," Todoh said with a smile.
The Four Holy Swords were surprised to learn that their leader actually knew the masked siblings personally.
"Then you already know who they are behind their masks," Senba said.
"It is true," Zero said, "in fact, you four actually heard about us from the past."
"Wait, we do?" Asahina responded confused.
"What do you mean?" Chiba asked.
"Before Japan was invaded by Britannia, the lieutenant colonel was a martial arts instructor who trained two kids," Zero said, "one of them of course was Suzaku Kururugi who you all no doubt saw that he was the pilot of the white Knightmare."
"We saw what had happened when he was falsely accused of killing Clovis," Asahina said, "and yet he's still willing to serve of the country that oppresses Japan."
"It's disgraceful," Chiba said.
"Indeed and as the other former student I agree," Zero said.
"Wait what?" Chiba replied surprised.
The Four Holy Swords were surprised in what Zero said.
"Sir, is he…your other student?" Senba asked.
"Indeed," Todoh said.
"Hold on, that means that you're…" Urabe said as he pointed at Zero.
"Indeed," Zero said as he removed his mask and showed his face, "my name is Lelouch Lamperouge, formerly Lelouch vi Britannia."
The Four Holy Swords were shocked.
"You have got to be kidding," Chiba committed.
"It's no joke," Todoh said, "and despite what you may feel, I am confident he can lead us to succeed and I'm not just saying that because he's my former student."
"We'll explain things now," Void said as she also removed her mask and revealing her face.
Urabe and Senba were surprised and intrigued at this development. Asahina was still shocked at the fact that the Black Knights, the group that have been succeeding against Britannia's forces in Japan have actually been led by a Britannian himself, the one who was born from the imperial family and who was also one of Todoh's protégés. Chiba couldn't wrap her head around the whole thing with the fact that two young Britannians were leading the rebellion against the empire itself. Lelouch and Nunnally went on and explained things to Todoh and the Four Holy Swords.
Imperial Cemetery, Pendragon, Holy Britannian Empire
An imperial princess was standing in front of two graves and the princess had violet eyes and pink long hair that was tied to a ponytail. It was Marrybell mel Britannia and she was looking at the graves of her mother Flora and her younger sister Julia.
"Mother, Julia," Marrybell spoke sadly, "How long has it been?"
"I knew I find you here," A male voice spoke.
Marrybell turned around and saw Schneizel has he approached her.
"Schneizel," Marrybell said softly.
Schneizel stood next to Marrybell and looked at the two graves.
"Will you be heading to Area 11?" Marrybell asked.
"Yes, there's something that I have to do there," Schneizel said.
"Area 11," Marrybell said, "I heard that Cornelia is having trouble there dealing with terrorist group called the Black Knights."
"Yes, that seems to be the case," Schneizel said.
"Are they really that formidable?" Marrybell asked, "The Black Knights?"
"It would seem so," Schneizel said.
"There just another terrorist group no matter how they try to present themselves," Marrybell said with a frown, "and terrorists need to be rid of. They should be allowed to exist. I find it deplorable that they would actually refer to themselves as knights," Marrybell shook her head, "knights of justice, it seems that there are Elevens who have such sick jokes."
"I understand your feelings," Schneizel said.
"Schneizel, since you're going to Area 11, if you don't mind…" Marrybell said.
"Yes?" Schneizel asked looking at Marrybell.
Marrybell looked at Schneizel determined.
"Will you allow me to accompany you to Area 11?" Marrybell asked.
The Next Day in Area 11
In a prison, a guard was escorting Sena Kozuki walking through the hall. They arrived at a visiting area and there Sena saw James who was sitting and waiting patiently. Sena was surprised to see James again and James smiled seeing Sena. Sena sat down across from James and the guard left to wait.
"You came here again," Sena said.
"I did say that I would come and see you every chance I have," James said.
"I see," Sena said feeling flattered.
"I see that you're a lot better," James said.
"Y-Yes, I have mostly recovered," Sena said, "although I admit that it hasn't been easy."
"I'm going to do what I can," James said.
Sena shook her head, "Please, don't go out of your way for me. Besides, it won't look good on you if you try to help me."
"I don't care how it would look on me," James replied, "I'm tired of worrying about appearances. I should have been there for you…even with my circumstances with my marriage," James looked at Sena determined, "I'm not going to give up on you and so I'm asking you Sena to please don't give up."
"J-James I…" Sena spoke.
James placed his hand on top of Sena's hand and Sena looked at James and couldn't help but to be touch.
"I'll do what I can," James said, "I owe you so much and for the sake of our son and daughter…"
"Naoto…Kallen," Sena said, "I think about them every day."
James placed his other hand on of his hand and Sena felt happy with the warmth of James's hands. Meanwhile in the Statfeldt Manor, Helena was on the phone with someone and she was very upset.
"That's right," Helena said angrily, "he's off visiting that Eleven again. It seems that he cares more about that Eleven bitch than me. Can you understand how disgraceful and humiliating it is to me?"
"I see and what do you want me to do about it?" Jarvis's voice spoke on the other line.
"I want you to do something Jarvis," Helena demanded, "You're a Knight of the Round. Surely you can use your position to aid me."
"Helena," Jarvis said, "I am not going to use my position as a Knight of a Round to help solve your marriage problems. If a problem arises with your marriage, then that's on you. You knew what you were getting into when you married Earl Statfeldt. Frankly I'm not surprised that he's still more into that Eleven woman."
"So that's it?" Helena said upset, "You're not willing to help me, your older sister?"
"I have things to do Helena," Jarvis said, "I don't have the time on such a trivial matter."
"T-Trivial matter?" Helena replied shocked, "And after everything I did for you in the past. I wonder what our father would say about this."
"It doesn't really matter since father is dead," Jarvis said, "he died because of his own foolishness."
"J-Jarvis," Helena said upset, "How can you say such things?"
"I have to go Helena," Jarvis said, "I have things to do, you know for our great and glorious emperor. His requests are far more important than yours."
"Jarvis!" Helena said upset.
Jarvis hung up and Helena just stood and was shocked. Helena clenched her teeth and slammed the receiver on the phone.
"I can't depend on anyone!" Helena said, "Not even family!"
Meanwhile somewhere in the ocean, a submarine is driven through. Inoue was acting as a lookout. Another member came by and relieved her. Inoue nodded and went in the submarine. Inoue walked and saw Sayoko waiting for her. Sayoko and Inoue were walking through the hall of the submarine together.
"It's amazing," Inoue said, "it wasn't long ago that we had a hard time to even get a bike and now we have a submarine. I just wonder how she was able to do it."
"You mean Lady Rakshata?" Sayoko asked.
"Yeah I mean if the Military District of India will be in big trouble if Britannia finds out," Inoue said, "how on earth did she do it?"
"Hmm, that is a good question," Sayoko said.
"Huh, you mean you don't know?" Inoue replied surprised.
"I just haven't heard the details," Sayoko said.
"Huh," Inoue said, "say, you've know those two for a long time haven't you?"
"I assuming that you're referring to Master Lelouch and Lady Nunnally," Sayoko deduced.
"Yeah," Inoue said, "I take that you've been with them from the beginning with they've been doing."
"I've been their loyal maid for seven years when the Ashford Family took them under their wing seven years ago," Sayoko said, "I was originally the personal maid Lady Milly Ashford."
"One of our supporters along with her grandfather?" Inoue asked.
"Yes Lord Reuben Ashford," Sayoko said.
"May I ask why?" Inoue asked, "Why willfully serve them? It's just out of curiosity."
Sayoko looked at Inoue and smiled happily. Not long afterwards, Sayoko and Inoue entered the meeting hall that had a huge screen. There were the rest of the core members of the Black Knights with Lelouch and Nunnally who were unmasked and held their masks as well as Rai standing in front of the screen and faced the other members. The members of the Six Houses of Kyoto were on the screen and greeting people in the room as they were on live feed and Kaguya was excited as she clapped her hands. Seeing how Lelouch has handled things, she was feeling more confident that he was fit to be her husband. Lelouch saw Sayoko and Inoue entered and he nodded.
"Good everyone is here," Lelouch said, "now then with our organization reorganized, it's time to assign positions with myself and my sister as both leaders of the Black Knights."
The other members looked on and nodded in agreement with their leader.
"First off our Chief of Military Affairs will be Kyoshiro Todoh," Lelouch said.
There were murmurs of agreement and Todoh nodded with a smile.
"I shall make sure to meet your expectations," Todoh said.
"We know you will," Nunnally said.
"Head of Intelligence as well as Espionage and Public Relation," Lelouch said, "that position goes to Diethard Reid."
Diethard smiled and nodded.
"Understood," Diethard said.
"Diethard huh," Tamaki said.
"The guy who works in the media," Urabe commented.
Most people spoke as they were okay with it but Chiba was concern.
"Zero, if I may," Chiba spoke up.
"Yes, what is it?" Lelouch replied.
"I'm not a racist but what is your reasoning for placing someone like him, one of them in such a sensitive position?" Chiba asked.
"Hmph, that's the talk of someone who is very racist to me," Lelouch replied.
"You say you're not a racist but your line of questioning says otherwise," Nunnally added.
Chiba was taken aback, "No, that wasn't—"
"I'm not sure if you're aware of this," Lelouch said, "but Nunnally and I are not Japanese, we're Britannians. In fact, we're actually two of the Britannian Emperor's children however we fight against Britannia. We despise what Britannia does, what they stand for. It's the same with Diethard here."
Diethard smiled and nodded.
"The point is that your actions are what matters and the abilities to produce results," Lelouch continued, "It doesn't matter who you are and where you come from. Diethard Reid has proven himself time and time again and for that, he has earned his position. This is not like the Japan Liberation Front or any of the typical resistance cells from the past. Besides he is just as deep in this as the rest of us and heaven forbid if he ever gets caught, the only thing he'll get is execution."
"Thank you Lelouch," Diethard said happily.
"He has helped us," Tamaki said.
"Yeah like with Narita, after all if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have known what would have gone down in Narita," Yoshida said.
The other members agreed and Todoh and his four close subordinates realized that it was Diethard who provide the Black Knights information of Cornelia and her forces attacking in Narita.
"Anything else?" Nunnally asked Chiba.
"No, nothing at all," Chiba said, "my apologies," Chiba looked at Diethard, "pardon my offense."
"Don't worry about it," Diethard said with a shrug, "I'm not offended. I believe that it's understandable."
"Now then," Lelouch said, "in regards for our Deputy Commanders…"
"Deputy Commanders?" Ohgi asked.
"Yes, there will be three Deputy Commanders and they are Rai Winston, Naoto Kozuki, and Keitaro Aoyama," Lelouch said.
The core members murmured in agreement and Naoto had his thumb up and Ohgi patted Naoto's shoulder with a grin.
"Wait, you're seriously having me as one of your deputy commanders?" Keitaro asked.
"Yes you have proven yourself with your abilities to help us succeed and you have proven yourself well as a leader of the Yamato Alliance," Lelouch said, "especially with the operation to take on Cornelia and her forces in Saitama, Narita, and Yokosuka."
"Please say you'll accept," Nunnally said being hopeful.
"You and Naoto together have been a strong force together to hold things together," Ohgi said.
"I agree," Gen said.
"Well, okay I accept," Keitaro said with a smile, "if you'll have me then I accept graciously."
"Glad to hear it," Lelouch said.
"Kaname and Gen will assist you both," Nunnally said.
"Sure," Ohgi said with a nod.
"No problem," Gen said with a grin.
"Now as for the Head of Research and Development," Lelouch said, "Rakshata Chawla."
"Naturally," Rakshata said with a smile, "who else?"
"Now for the captains of two special squads," Nunnally said, "Captain of the Zero Squad, Kallen Kozuki. Captain of the Void Squad, Alice Macleod."
"Zero Squad?" Kallen asked.
"Void Squad?" Alice asked.
"That's right," Nunnally said, "the Zero Squad under Lelouch's direct command and the Void Squad under my direct command. Basically our own special guards if you will."
Kallen and Alice were happy.
"So that means Kallen and I are basically your knights," Alice said.
"Hmm yes, you can see it that way," Nunnally said with a smile.
Alice squealed in happiness and then calmed herself and got composed much to everyone's amusement.
Alice cleared her throat, "I happily am honored to accept the position."
"I am as well," Kallen said happily.
Naoto, Keitaro and Rai had their smiles. Lelouch and Nunnally nodded as they were pleased.
"Rai, if you will," Lelouch said.
"Sure," Rai said as he switched the screen showing the hierarchy for the Black Knights, "Captain of the First Squad…"
CC leaned on the wall and looked on as she twirled a strand of her hair. Jinta came by and leaned against the wall as well.
"It seems that VV was here in Japan," Jinta said.
Yes it seems so," CC said, "he was actually looking for Mao."
"Mao?" Jinta asked, "Why?"
"For his Geass," CC said, "he figured he could convince him to ally with him and have him use his Geass. But he was too late since Mao had died."
"I imagine that he was quite livid," Jinta said.
"I'm sure he was," CC said.
"So what now CC?" Jinta asked.
"Hmm…" CC responded as she continued to twirl her hair.

In the lounge of the Knights of the Round, Carter was sitting on a couch as he yawned. The door suddenly opened and two other Knights of the Round came in. One of them was a young man with short black hair and deep blue eyes and the other was a young woman with platinum long hair and red eyes.
"Oh Carter, you're here," The female Knight of the Round said.
"Hey Sarah, Jason," Carter greeted.
"Hey," The male Knight of the Round named Jason said.
Jason and Sarah sat down on couch next to Carter.
"So any updates so far?" Sarah asked.
"No, not at the moment," Carter said.
"Hmm, so we'll have to plan out accordingly depending on the situation," Jason said.
"Exactly," Carter said as he picked up a remote from the table and turned on the television.
Black Knights' Submarine
Back in the meeting hall, Rai had just finished announcing who got what position within the Black Knights.
"…And with that, that is all," Rai said.
"Thank you Rai," Lelouch said.
"Excuse me Lelouch, Nunnally," Diethard said.
"Hmm, what is it?" Lelouch asked.
"There's something that we need to discuss," Diethard said, "something that requires our attention."
"Hmm, there is?" Nunnally asked.
"Let me guess," Rai said as he pushed a button which showed the live broadcast of the knighting ceremony in the Area 11 Viceroy Palace, "this is about Suzaku Kururugi, isn't it?"
"Yes it is," Diethard said.
"…Very well," Lelouch said as he and the others looked at the live broadcast.
Viceroy Palace
Suzaku wore his ceremonial clothing for his knighting ceremony and looked a bit nervous. People had gathered for the occasion including Lloyd who was in his noble attire as well as Darlton and Jeremiah. Suzaku started walking down the aisle heading for Euphemia who sat in her throne. On the way, Suzaku could hear people talking and none were pleasant.
"Who cares if he's an Honorary Britannian?" A male Britannian noble whispered, "Making an Eleven a Knight of all things…"
"I can't believe that they're having this broadcasted live," A female Britannian noble whispered.
"How do you suppose he won her favor?" Another male noble asked.
"Well even a princess has 'needs', right?" Another male commented, "She is an adolescent and all that…"
This got the others to chuckle. Jeremiah heard what was said and was disgusted to hear what they were saying and it took all of his mental strength to not retaliate against them, verbally and physically.
Ashford Academy
In one of the classrooms, students were watching the knighting ceremony and some were not happy with what was going. The two students, Gene and Martin were among the students not happy that Suzaku was being knighted.
"Are they kidding?" Gene asked upset.
"No, this can't be happening!" Martin said upset.
"They're making him a major," Gene said, "an Eleven!"
Nina just sat in her seat and was unhappy with what was going on as well but she didn't say anything and she just looked down on the floor.
Viceroy Palace
Suzaku kneeled before Euphemia and the third imperial princess stood up from her throne.
"Suzaku Kururugi," Euphie spoke, "will thou upon this day pledge thy fealty to Britannia and stand as a knight of the crown?"
"Yes Your Highness," Suzaku responded.
"Does thou wish to abandon thyself and be sword and shield for the sake of the greater good?" Euphie continued.
"Yes Your Highness," Suzaku responded.
Suzaku unsheathed the sword and held the hilt for Euphie to take and she held the hilt and held up the sword and proceeded use the sword to knight Suzaku.
"I, Euphemia li Britannia due hereby dub thee Sir Suzaku Kururugi," Euphie declared.
ASEEC Base
The members of the ASEEC were watching the knighting ceremony in one of the rooms with the television.
"So whose payroll is he on now?" One of the staff members asked.
"I believe Lloyd is working on that right now," Cecile said.
"Wait, you mean with him?" The staff member asked.
"Well it's not like I actually met him," Cecile said.
Viceroy Palace
Back in the hall, Euphie handed Suzaku the sword and Suzaku sheathed it. Afterwards, Euphie waved her arm and that signaled Suzaku to stand and face the crowd. Everyone in the audience just looked at Suzaku and most of them were displeased. Lloyd on the other hand just smiled and clapped for Suzaku. Suzaku and Euphie saw the reactions of the others and Suzaku was not surprised that no one else was clapping however they were surprised that Darlton started to clap his hands with a smile. There was another clap and Suzaku and Euphie looked and saw that Jeremiah was clapping with a smile. The others people just gave in and clapped for Suzaku.
ASEEC Base
Cecile and the other members of the ASEEC clapped and were happy for Suzaku.
Viceroy Palace
Back in the hall, Suzaku and Euphie were happy with what was going on.
"This is the first step," Euphie said in her head.
Meanwhile in one of the other rooms, Nonette was speaking to Cornelia via live feed on a computer monitor.
"It sounds like the knighting ceremony is over," Nonette said, "so now Euphie has a knight."
"I don't like this," Cornelia said, "How could she choose an Eleven to be her knight? I don't understand my sister at all."
"Come now Nelly, I'm sure it will be fine," Nonette said, "Kururugi has proven himself."
"I didn't expect you to be okay with this," Cornelia said, "but enough of that. I'll talk to my sister later on. However the thing that I'm concern right now is what you're planning."
"Yes, I believe that it would be for the best," Nonette said.
"Nonette, I have to ask," Cornelia said with concern, "have you lost your mind?"
"I get how this looks," Nonette said, "but trust me, I know what I'm doing."
"No I can't," Cornelia said angrily, "I will never accept him, not after what he has done!"
"I'm going to make him listen to reason," Nonette said, "this will be good for you and Euphie as well."
"How the hell will this be good for us?" Cornelia asked.
"I can't tell you," Nonette said, "not yet."
"He deserves to be executed Nonette," Cornelia said strongly, "Is this why you haven't reported to His Majesty recently?"
Black Knights' Mobile Base
There was a meeting with Zero, Void, Rakshata, Todoh, Diethard, the three deputy commanders, and the two captains of the special squads.
"Suzaku Kururugi," Diethard started, "he has become a vocal point among the Japanese who are Britannian supporters. I recommend that he be assassinated."
Diethard's suggestion surprised the others in the room expect for Rakshata.
"Hold on, are you serious?" Keitaro asked.
"An assassination?" Lelouch responded, "Seriously?"
"Diethard may be right," Rakshata said as she looked at Lelouch, "you've been the focus of the resistance movement as Zero while our enemies lack such a person for themselves."
"People aren't moved by ideology alone," Diethard pointed out, "but the Britannians will hold Kururugi up as a symbol. Therefore I believe that taking him out right now would be the smart decision."
"That's not a good idea," Rai said.
"Rai?" Kallen asked.
"If anything, it will actually hurt us to resort such an underhanded tactic," Rai said.
"Rai's right," Todoh said, "the Japanese would be revolted for such a thing."
"And that's both sides," Naoto added, "the Japanese who are Britannian supporters and the Japanese who support us and besides, the Black Knights are not in the business of such thing. This is not how we do things in this organization."
"Just what the hell do you want us to do Diethard?" Alice asked, "To kill him when he's alone and defenseless?"
"Just hold on," Diethard said, "Do you all not see what is going on? If we don't take care of Kururugi now, he'll be a serious problem for us later on down the road."
"We're not going to assassinate Suzaku Kururugi," Lelouch said.
The others looked at Lelouch and most were pleased in what Lelouch said but Diethard was still worried.
"Are you sure that's wise?" Diethard asked.
"It'll be unwise to kill him through assassination," Lelouch said, "not only will it damage our reputation as Rai put it, but to do so in this manner will make Suzaku a martyr and it will backfire on us."
"My brother is right," Nunnally said, "it is true that Suzaku is an obstacle to us but it's not something that we can't handle. Resorting to assassination would be admitting that we were too scared to take him on face to face and it would ruin us."
"Look I understand what you're saying," Diethard said, "The Black Knights are meant to be the hammer of justice. You're right, we can't be seen as cold blooded killers, but we can hide the truth using the media."
The others couldn't believe that Diethard had even suggested it.
"Are you serious?" Naoto asked.
"Diethard," Lelouch spoke as he looked annoyed, "I was under the impression that you resented such vile tactics of using the media in that way."
"Lelouch…" Diethard said.
"If we do that, we're no better than your colleagues who used to media to cover the truth of the Shinjuku Massacre," Lelouch said, "The Black Knights exposes the truth, not cover it up and construct it for our own conveniences."
Diethard was just silent as he didn't say anything else.
"Listen Diethard, it is understandable for the concern of this development with Suzaku Kururugi," Lelouch said, "however, he is not someone to really worry about. Even with them using him as a 'symbol', it will not shake our resolve for our overall goals and our inevitable end goal victory. If Kururugi is to die, he will die face to face in battle, not sneaking around by assassination."
Diethard just sighed and nodded, "I understand. It is your decision in the end."
Later on, Lelouch was in his room and CC was with him lying on his bed.
"You know you could use your Geass on Kururugi," CC suggested.
"Out of the question," Lelouch replied.
"Why not?" CC replied, "Is it because he's your friend or is it pride on your own part?"
"…Just what exactly do you suggest that I use my Geass on him for?" Lelouch asked.
"I don't know," CC said, "something to prevent him on getting in your way."
"I can handle him if he gets in my way," Lelouch said, "I don't need to use my Geass to do so."
"So you're saying that you'll really do it if need to?" CC asked, "Are you really prepare to really do what is really necessary if it comes to it?"
"Yes I am," Lelouch said.
"Are you sure?" CC asked seriously, "I understand that you and Nunnally still consider him as your friend and this isn't something to take lightly."
"I know…" Lelouch said.
"Hmm, well if you're sure than I won't press further," CC said, "but just remember Lelouch…"
"Don't worry CC," Lelouch said, "I intend to keep my promise to you."
"Okay, just wanted to be sure," CC said, "and I'll keep mine to you as well."
"Right," Lelouch said with a nod.
Lelouch then looked at the chessboard and picked up one of the black chess pieces.
Viceroy Palace
Euphie was in her office speaking to her older sister Cornelia who was on her computer screen.
"You haven't said anything about it yet," Euphie said.
"Appointing a knight is a privilege of royalty," Cornelia said, "it's out of my hands even as Viceroy although I must say…"
"What is it?" Euphie asked.
"If I had known this was how it would have turned out, I wouldn't have mind if it was Gottwald," Cornelia said.
"Jeremiah?" Euphie replied.
"Yes, he may be incompetent but at least his background is acceptable," Cornelia said, "he would've been more preferable than the one you picked."
"There you go again," Euphie said upset as she knew what her sister was implying, "don't you see, Suzaku is an Honorary Britannian and he's proved himself with his dedication and hard work. Not to mention that he's has shown where he stands numerous times. He has proven himself more than worthy for knighthood. Sister even you must see—"
"It's Viceroy," Cornelia interjected.
"…Viceroy, even you must know that he's deserving," Euphie said.
"Discrimination against the Numbers is one of our national policies," Cornelia pointed out.
Euphie frowned at that response.
"It's a despicable policy," Euphie said strongly, "one that should be abolished."
Cornelia glared at her younger sister.
"Oh, is that so Sub-Viceroy?" Cornelia replied annoyed.
Euphie glared back at Cornelia strongly as she was not intimidated and not backing down in what she had just said.
"Well then if you become Empress, feel free to do so!" Cornelia said strongly.
"Then I will," Euphie replied.
"What?" Cornelia replied surprised at what Euphie had just said.
"If that what it takes, then I'll ascend as the next sovereign of Britannia," Euphie declared.
"You'll never succeed and you know that," Cornelia said.
"You underestimate people," Euphie rebuked.
Cornelia clenched her teeth, "I'm warning you…"
Sword of Akasha, C's World
Jarvis walked up the stairs and arrive on the platform where the 98th Britannian Emperor was looking up.
"The Thought Elevator is proceeding accordingly," Charles said and then he paused then he nodded, "Yes, I understand," Charles paused again, "What is it Jarvis?"
"Pardon my interruption Your Majesty," Jarvis spoke with respect.
"No matter, what is it?" Charles asked as he turned to Jarvis.
Jarvis went and stood next to Charles and informed him.
"What, Schneizel?" Charles asked.
"Yes, what would you like to do?" Jarvis asked, "I do believe that Prince Schneizel is getting too cocky for his own good."
"Hmph, you need not to do anything regarding Schneizel," Charles said with a confident smile, "after all if he is that confident then by all means let him challenge me."
Ashford Academy
In the clubhouse, there was party for Suzaku celebrating his knighthood and many students were there to celebrate.
"Okay guys," Rivalz said happily, "time to raise a glass to Suzaku Kururugi here, valued member of the Student Council and knight of the realm. So now let's get this party!"
"Congratulations!" The students said excited and happy for Suzaku.
Suzaku looked around and felt touched. The students that were in the clubhouse were celebrating with pizza and soda.
"You know the one who planned this was Nunnally," Milly said.
"Really?" Suzaku replied happily, "Thank you Nunnally."
"It's not a problem," Nunnally said with a smile, "I know you might be tired with all the celebration but I hope you don't mind if we celebrated with you."
"Sure I don't mind," Suzaku replied happily, "I'm really happy for this. Thank you so much. It's really nice of you."
Nunnally smiled and had her thought, "Enjoy it while you can Suzaku because it won't stop us from beating you when you cross our path."
Meanwhile in the Student Council Room, Nina was sitting in front of her computer. Nina felt jealousy towards Suzaku for the fact that he had become Euphemia's knight. Nina thought about the possibility that Suzaku was going to be Euphemia's lover since she read that Knights tend to be lover of those of they serve. Nina picked up the magazine that had Euphemia's picture and stared at her.
"Oh Princess Euphemia," Nina said softly, "What should I do now?"
"Hello there," A male voice spoke suddenly.
Nina was surprised and she looked and it was Lloyd came by as he entered the room.
"Pardon me, have you seen Major Kururugi?" Lloyd asked, "They said that I'd be able to find him here," Lloyd then noticed something on Nina's computer screen, "Hmm, ah looks like your working on some fun stuff here."
"Huh, do you understand it?" Nina asked.
"Of course, I know Uranium Isotope when I see it," Lloyd replied which made Nina happy for the fact that he recognized it, "I see the one with an atomic mass of 235."
"Yes that's right," Nina replied happily as she went to her attention on her screen, "see if you can get the Uranium 235 to absorb to active neutrons, it should cause it to split into two atomic nuclei and high speed neutrons."
Lloyd took off his glasses and continued to listen to Nina's explanation which fascinated him. Back in the clubhouse, Shirley, Milly, and Kallen were carrying pizzas to serve.
"Say Prez, have you seen Nina?" Shirley asked.
"Well I tell her to come but…" Milly said.
"She's not going to show," Kallen said, "we all know why."
"Yeah, I guess," Milly said, "honestly that girl…"
"But anyway Kallen, you'll tell us what you, Lulu, and the others discussed in your meeting, right?" Shirley asked.
"Later when it's a good time," Kallen said, "you know we shouldn't discuss things here."
"Oh yeah, I know," Shirley said, "I know."
Lelouch and Rai arrived and they looked around.
"I'm surprised that Nunnally set this up," Rai said.
"Keeping up with appearance," Lelouch said, "that's her reasoning anyway."
"I see," Rai said.
"Lulu, Rai, over here," Shirley said.
Rai and Lelouch looked over to Shirley who was carrying pizzas.
"Oh Shirley, need help?" Rai asked.
"Yes please," Shirley said.
"Hey Lelouch, Rai," Suzaku called.
Lelouch looked over to Suzaku who went to him and Rai.
"Hi Suzaku," Lelouch said with a smile, "sorry for the delay, got held up."
"No problem," Suzaku replied with a smile, "I'm just glad you made it. And Rai…"
Rai smiled and left.
"He's helping Shirley with the pizzas," Lelouch said.
"Oh okay," Suzaku said, "anyway Lelouch, I feel very lucky with all this."
"Yeah, I can see that," Lelouch said.
"Anyway Lelouch, while you're here, I want to ask you something," Suzaku said.
"Hmm, what is it?" Lelouch asked.
"Well—" Suzaku spoke.
"Bad news Suzaku!" Lloyd's voice called out, "You just got more work I'm afraid."
The students in the clubhouse were surprised and they looked and saw Lloyd and Nina was with him.
"Oh right," Suzaku said.
"Is he someone you work with?" Lelouch asked.
"Well he's my boss," Suzaku said.
"Your boss?" Lelouch replied.
Milly approached Lloyd and Nina.
"Lloyd, is something wrong?" Milly asked.
"Oh, do you two know each other?" Nina asked.
"Yes, we're to be married," Lloyd said with a smile.
The revelation surprised everyone in the room except for Suzaku who sighed.
"Isn't that right honeybunch?" Lloyd asked gleefully.
"Uh, y-yeah," Milly replied feeling uncomfortable about the whole thing.
"Well the secret's out," Suzaku said.
"Huh, you knew about this?" Lelouch asked.
"Yeah," Suzaku replied with a nod.
"Hold on!" Rivalz spoke loudly as he went to Lloyd and Milly, "What's going on here?" Rivalz looked at Milly, "Prez who is this guy?"
"Earl Asplund," Milly answered.
"Earl!" Rivalz replied shocked and then looked at Lloyd and acted respectful towards him, "It's an honor your lordship," Rivalz then turned to Milly again, "Now what did you say your relationship was again?"
"She and I are betrothed," Lloyd answered.
"NO!" Rivalz yelled dramatically.
"Oh gosh," Nina said.
Rai patted on Rivalz's shoulder trying to comfort him.
"So that's the guy that Milly's parents hooked her up with?" Alice asked.
"That seems to be the case," Nunnally said.
"Lloyd Asplund, I think I heard that name before," Sayoko said.
"Have you Sayoko?" Nunnally asked.
"Yes," Sayoko said with a nod, "I believe from Lady Rakshata."
"So do I have military duties then?" Suzaku asked.
"Yes, an important someone is arriving by boat," Lloyd replied, "We're off to meet him along with the Lancelot and Princess Euphemia naturally and Lady Enneagram and the Morgause will be coming along as well."
There were sounds of excitement when the students heard what Lloyd had just said. Lelouch thought about it and saw it as an opportunity.
"Nonette…" Lelouch whispered.
Lelouch looked over to Rai, Kallen, Nunnally, Alice, Sayoko, and Shirley and signaled them go with him. They all did just that and Milly turned and glanced at Lelouch and the other heading somewhere.
"Planning things out," Milly said in her head, "Looks you've decided on your next move Lelouch."
"Milly?" Lloyd spoke.
Milly quickly turned her attention to Lloyd who smiled.
"Oh yes," Milly said.
Elsewhere, Lelouch and the other were outside of the clubhouse.
"Capture Nonette?" Nunnally asked.
"Yes, there is something that I want to confirm and that is the reason for her to be here," Lelouch said.
"Huh, what do you mean?" Rai asked.
"Ever since she showed up and confronted us during our operation to stop the Refrain distribution, I couldn't help but feel that something was going on," Lelouch said.
"But this is about you, isn't it?" Alice replied, "Wasn't she sent here to help Cornelia stop you?"
"I believe there is more to that and I want to know what Nonette knows and possibility why the emperor really sent her here," Lelouch said.
The others looked at each other and understood Lelouch's concern.
Britannian Naval Ship
The ship was sailing on the ocean and was on its way to Shikine Island. In the bridge, Suzaku, Cecile, Lloyd, and Nonette were there along with the crew operating the ship.
"Why Shikine Island?" Suzaku asked, "The Tokyo Settlement would have been a lot safer."
"Yes, I'm curious about that myself," Cecile said.
"Same here," Nonette said.
"Wait, you're saying you don't know either?" Suzaku replied surprised.
"Ditto on that," Lloyd said with a smile.
Suzaku was surprised that neither Lloyd nor Cecile nor Nonette knew the reason.
"You still shouldn't have said anything Lloyd," Cecile said, "after all your loose lips got our plans leaked onto the net."
"Oh but that girl was so charming," Lloyd said pleased, "I just couldn't resist."
"You don't seem a bit remorseful of what you did," Nonette said, "but then again, it's what I expect from you."
Lloyd responded by shrugging indifference.
Black Knights' Submarine
The Black Knights were meeting in the meeting room with Zero and Void standing to face them.
"Euphemia is going on Shikine Island to meet with a noble from the Britannian homeland," Zero said, "her knight Suzaku Kururugi will be accompany her of course however the Knight of Nine herself will be there with them as well. This is our chance. The objective is to capture Nonette Enneagram the Knight of Nine along with the Morgause. Afterwards, we're to place her in custody."
"Capturing the Knight of Nine…" Ohgi spoke.
"So what happens after that?" Tamaki asked.
"We get answers from her," Void, said, "We find out her true objective as to why the emperor really sent her here."
"There is more going on with Nonette and we need to find out for sure," Zero said, "once we do, we'll plan accordingly depending on the situation with countermeasures."
"More going on," Naoto said, "I guess sending a Knight of the Round did seem like overkill just because Cornelia lost to you in Saitama."
"We'll find out for sure," Zero said.
"Understood," Naoto said.
"In that case, let's get ready," Keitaro said.
"Hold on though," Alice said, "what about Suzaku? If he gets involved…"
"Most likely he will," Zero said, "but it changes nothing. The plan will succeed if followed correctly. Well trap him along with Nonette."
"Right, of course," Alice said.
After all it was done, the members dispersed to prepare. In one of the rooms, Rakshata and her team were looking over the devices that were going to be used for the operation. They checked over their monitor for the spot that they were going to use.
"That's our spot huh," Rakshata said.
"Yes, do you suppose it's going to work?" One of her subordinates asked.
"I think it'll be fine," Rakshata said, "the stealth effect as a by-product seems to be working."
"How can you tell?" The subordinate asked.
"The Britannians haven't found us," Rakshata pointed out, "what does that tell you?"
"Ah, good point," The subordinate replied.
On the rails, Kaguya was watching and she smiled.
"So glad that I was able to come along," Kaguya said happily, "now for my future husband…"
Shikine Island
Euphemia and her entourage arrived on the island and were speaking with one of soldiers stationed there.
"The arrival time is right on schedule," The soldier said, "We've prepared a room for you back in headquarters if you like."
"Is it safe to say to assume that the ship is docking here?" Euphie asked.
"Yes Your Highness," The soldier said, "that hasn't changed."
"Then is will do fine then," Euphie said with a smile.
"As you wish," The soldier said, "then I'll arrange for an escort—"
There was a loud sound suddenly and it surprised the soldiers and Euphie and her entourage. The military base within Shikine Island was under attack and Lieutenant Colonel Fayer who was the military base commander was shocked in what he was seeing.
"Terrorists?!" Fayer spoke surprised, "But how did they get here?"
An aircraft was brought down by the Slash Harken of Todoh's customized Gekka. A Sutherland was brought down by the Seiryu and the Fenrir and the Vierge followed taking down opposing Knightmare units.
"Void Squad, continue advancing," Todoh ordered.
"Zero Squad, cover them from their flank," Naoto ordered.
Sutherlands came by to stop the attack but they were taken down by the Guren and the Vierge and it allowed the two special squads to move in as they were impressed by the display they saw by their captains. Elsewhere the Lionel and the Lucan were above with Zero and Void watching.
"It really is impressive," Lelouch said in his head, "it's no wonder that Todoh-sensei was able to fend off the Britannian forces without a Knightmare and Naoto keeps getting better and better. Now to wait for them to receive word of our 'visit'."
Back at the port, soldiers were informed of what was going on.
"It seems that headquarters are under attack," One of the soldiers informed.
"An attack?" Euphie asked.
"It's the Black Knights," Nonette deduced.
"Is it really them?" Suzaku asked as he and the others looked at Nonette.
"It has to be them," Nonette said, "I don't know how they were able to get there but there's no doubt. It can't be anyone else but them that would attack us like this. Zero is there no doubt."
"In that case, we'll withdraw to the settlement," Cecile said as she turned to the Shikine Island soldiers, "can you arrange for an escort unit for her?"
"Unfortunately it's too risky to leave right now," One of the soldiers said, "they're jamming us with some wide ranged interference."
"I'll handle this," Nonette declared, "I'll get the Morgause ready and head over there. If Zero is there, I'll need to face him."
Suzaku nodded in agreement and then turned to Euphie.
"Don't worry Your Highness," Suzaku assured, "you're going to be fine. As your knight, I won't let anything or anyone come to you."
"Suzaku…" Euphie spoke.
"Spoken like a true loyal knight," Nonette said with smile and then turned to Euphie, "Princess Euphemia, you're in good hands with your personal knight. I'll go and take on Zero. I'm going to end this."
"Nonette…" Euphie said.
"Well then," Lloyd said pleased, "then it's settled."
Meanwhile Kallen had just taken down more Sutherlands while the pilots of the Sutherland cursed the pilot of the Guren. The Vierge arrived and back up the Guren in taking down more Sutherlands. They suddenly got signals and move away just in time to avoid the Slash Harkens of the Morgause. They saw the Knightmare piloted by the Knight of Nine.
"She's here," Kallen said.
The Morgause suddenly saw something and dodged a firing round. Nonette looked and saw the Lionel pointing the VARIS rifle at her.
"There you are Zero," Nonette said.
The Lionel signaled the Morgause to come after get it.
"Goading me, are you?" Nonette asked.
In the cockpit of the Lionel, Lelouch glared at the Morgause.
"That's right Nonette," Lelouch said, "come and get me."
Meanwhile Todoh signaled the other Knightmare and they started to move away.
"Confirming target," Todoh said, "all units, assume Formation Three and fall back! Do not fire at the target! I repeat, do not fire at the target!"
The other Knightmare did just as Todoh ordered. The Lucan moved in along with the rest of them. Meanwhile, Fayer was on the phone with someone within the headquarters.
"Yes and it's thanks to the Knight of Nine," Fayer said and then he was told something and Fayer was shocked, "Wait a minute, are you sure that's wise?"
The person on the other line spoke and Fayer shook his head.
"But Your Highness," Fayer said, "What of His Majesty? I doubt he would be pleased if—"
Fayer was cut off and was told of something then Fayer just blinked his eyes.
"I see," Fayer said, "in that case…"
Meanwhile the Lionel flees from the Morgause and Nonette was getting irritated.
"Stop running from me Zero!" Nonette said agitated.
The Lionel arrives and jumps in a sandpit. Nonette wondered why Zero did that and started to wondered what Zero was really up to. Nonette jumped in the sandpit regardless and confronted the lion-headed Knightmare Frame and pointed the Jousting Lance at the Lionel.
"Now Zero!" Nonette said, "I got you…"
"…right where…" Lelouch said.
"…I want you," Rakshata said.
Rakshata pushed a button that was a switch and devices around the sandpit activated and it disabled both the Morgause and the Lionel. Nonette was shocked with what just happened and tried to get her Knightmare to move.
"What the hell?" Nonette said, "What is this?" Nonette continued to try and saw that it was futile, "my Morgause is frozen…no, this is…"
"Nonette Enneagram!" Zero called as he came out of the cockpit of his Knightmare.
"I see now," Nonette responded, "you lured me to a clever trap, using yourself as bait," Nonette sighed, "actually this perfect."
"Perfect?" Zero replied confused, "What do you mean?"
"I actually want to talk to you Zero," Nonette said.
"Really?" Zero replied.
"Yes," Nonette said as she came out of the cockpit, "I want to talk to you Zero. Can we talk?" Nonette slowly raised her hands up, "I promise no tricks. Just to talk to you."
The Knightmares of the Black Knights arrived and surrounded the sandpit and Nonette just looked around. Zero just looked at Nonette.
"She just wants to talk huh," Lelouch said in his head and then spoke, "Okay, let's talk."
Meanwhile in the ASEEC trailer, the team along with Euphie became aware that Morgause was unable to move.
"This is not good," Suzaku said with worry, "Lady Enneagram is trapped."
"She needs to abandon the Morgause," Euphie suggested with worry, "I don't get it. What could possibly be wrong with it, why can't it move?"
"Something has happened to the Sakuradite that's powering Lady Enneagram's Morgause," Cecile said, "something or someone is somehow able to interfere with it."
"A Gefjun Disturber," Lloyd deduced with a sense of dread.
This surprised Euphie, Suzaku, and Cecile.
"A Gefjun Disturber?" Suzaku asked.
"Lloyd, you mean…" Cecile spoke with worry.
"But they're actually using it as jamming mechanism," Lloyd said with grim, "I thought it was only a theory," Lloyd shook his head berating himself, "I can't believe I'm such a fool. It really is you Rakshata. This is your doing."
"Rakshata?" Euphie asked, "Wait, that name…"
"Princess Euphemia," Suzaku said.
"Suzaku, I need your help on something," Euphie said.
"Of course anything you need and I'll do it," Suzaku said.
"Thank you Suzaku," Euphie replied with a smile.
Meanwhile back at the sandpit, the Lionel and the Morgause were surrounded by the other Knightmares of the Black Knights and Rakshata looked on standing next to the device that activated the Gefjun Disturber.
"It looks like the range and endurance still needs a little work," Rakshata said.
In the pit, both Zero and Nonette came out of their Knightmare Frames and walked towards each other and Zero pulled out a gun and pointed it at Nonette much to the Knight of Nine's dismay.
"There's no need for that," Nonette said, "I'm unarmed."
"I don't trust you Enneagram," Zero said.
"That's unfortunate," Nonette said.
"You said you wanted to talk," Zero said as he and Nonette stopped and faced each other, "so let's hear it because I have questions for you and I will get answers from you."
"Is that so?" Nonette said, "I don't know what you're thinking however here is the thing. Zero, I have a proposal for you."
"A proposal?" Zero replied, "Oh this ought to be interesting. Okay, what is it? What is your proposal?"
"Zero, I want you to join me," Nonette said.
"Excuse me?" Zero replied shocked.
"You heard me," Nonette said, "I want you to join me. My proposal to you is to abandon this hopeless crusade and grudge against Britannia and join me. What I'm saying is…I want you to come back. Come back on Britannia's side."
Zero just stood there and couldn't believe what he had just heard.
"So it's finally happened," Zero said, "you, Nonette Enneagram the Knight of Nine, you have finally lost your mind. You have finally gone insane."
"I realize how this looks and trust me, you're not the first to question my sanity," Nonette said, "however it is not only for your sake but also for the sake of your sister that I'm doing this."
"Hmph, it seems that our last fight," Zero said, "you must hit your head pretty hard."
"I can assure that is not the case," Nonette said getting a bit frustrated, "look you would be better off to accept than continue on this hopeless path of fighting against Britannia. Because if you choose to continue going against Britannia, you'll lose and it will be everything."
"I refuse," Zero said strongly, "I will never ever join you."
Nonette sighed, "Don't be so quick to refuse. Listen to reason…"
That's it for this chapter. Next chapter: Nonette gives her reasons on why Zero should join her and abandon his fight against Britannia.
