Factors
In the lounge of the Pendragon Imperial Palace, members of the imperial family were sitting and watching the live broadcast of the inaugural ceremony of the Special Administrative Zone of Japan.
"Hmm, so to recap," One of the imperial princes said.
The imperial prince that spoke had orange short slick back hair and violet eyes and wore a dark orange imperial garb with white slacks, black boots, and white gloves and it was Xavier sa Britannia.
"It was uncertain that Zero and Void would show up," Another imperial prince said who had shoulder length platinum hair and violet eyes and wore a dark blue imperial garb with black boots and black gloves, "and given the circumstances, if they showed up, it would be an indicator that they have accepted defeat."
The other prince that spoke was Rowan phi Britannia.
"You two are speaking about this so nonchalantly," Another imperial prince said upset.
It was the prince that had short red hair and wore red and green imperial garb and it was Cassius le Britannia who just frowned.
"Well complaining about it isn't going help," Rowan said.
"Hmph, I still can't believe that this is happening," Cassius said.
"Now, now, this isn't really a bad thing," Odysseus eu Britannia said, "this Special Zone is out of the ordinary sure but this will actually benefit for Area 11 in the long run. Peace will finally restore."
"If anything, it will bring stability back in Area 11," Xavier said.
"Well I don't like this one bit," Guinevere de Britannia spoke strongly, "giving the inferior beings rights. They should not be allowed to be given rights even though it's such a small area."
"I agree," Carine ne Britannia said, "if anything with all those Elevens in one place right now, they should just be exterminated and be done with it. Slaughter them like the pathetic pigs that they are."
"Carine please," Odysseus spoke as he was disturbed what one of his sisters suggested, "You mustn't say such things."
"Yes that way, the rest of the Elevens as well as the other Numbers learn to not to defy us again," Guinevere said with a smile.
"Or it can be an incentive for a full scale rebellion to spark in all of Area 11," Rowan said, "with the Black Knights leading the rebellion."
"Even if that was case, our military is the best and strongest in the world," Carine said with confidence, "we'd be able to put them down with ease."
"It still not wise to underestimate our enemies," Xavier said, "and in which case is the Black Knights. After all, you heard them, they intend to continue what they set out to do."
Cassius growled, "Euphemia, I can't believe she's doing this. She was always an odd one much like a certain idiot that we knew but what she's doing has really taken to the top. It's even more upsetting that in the fact that Schneizel actually approved it and Cornelia is just letting go on, not even bothering to actually try to stop it or even convince Schneizel that it's a serious mistake."
"Do you not see though?" Odysseus spoke, "With the Special Zone, the Black Knights would lose support and the people there won't support them. Cornelia is not supportive on this it's true but she understands the situation."
"In regards the masked leaders Zero and Void," Xavier said, "it seems that Euphemia seriously wanted them to work with her for the Special Zone."
"It's disgraceful," Cassius said, "she's basically saying that she has no problem with the fact that Zero killed Clovis and has also shown such disrespect and defiance towards Britannia."
"Are we talking about our dead brother who is considered a disgrace for the illegal human experimentation he was involved in?" Rowan asked.
"Who really cares about what Clovis did?" Carine asked.
"Exactly, what Clovis did is irrelevant," Cassius said, "Besides, it's only bad because he got caught and exposed."
"How can you say that?" Odysseus asked upset.
"It's the truth," Cassius said, "that's all it is. In fact, I bet even our father, His Majesty would agree."
"Are you sure about that?" Odysseus asked.
"Of course I am," Cassius said, "you need to understand that well dear brother. The sooner you do the better it will be."
"You're so narrow minded and short sighted," Rowan said annoyed.
"Bite your tongue Rowan," Cassius replied.
"You seem to think that the Black Knights can cause serious problem Rowan," Guinevere said.
"Well I agree with Rowan on this," Xavier said, "the problems going on in Area 11 with the Black Knights are the results of Cornelia and the others overestimating their own abilities and underestimating them. I'm sure Schneizel would agree."
"I'm sure he does," Rowan said, "so now with what's going on…"
"Yes Euphie is meeting with Zero and Void right now," Odysseus said.
The siblings looked at the television watching the live broadcast of the inaugural ceremony in Area 11.
Area 11 (Japan)
With the ceremony still taking place and people wondering what was going to be said between Zero, Void, and Euphie, most of the other members of the Black Knights were actually on standby as they were hiding out in various unknown areas. They have been monitoring Zero and Void and have also been watching the ceremony with their portable televisions. Elsewhere there was the Black Knights' Mobile Base that was hidden and within the mobile base, Diethard, Rakshata, and Orpheus were watching the live coverage of the ceremony.
"So it seems that they went with Euphemia," Diethard said.
"It seems so," Rakshata said, "but it's worrisome. There may be trouble that may come."
"Well Jinta and the others will be there to counter against any trouble there," Ohgi said, "we'll be ready to catch them in the act and let everyone see."
"Even if they don't hold them off, they've already provided what needs to be known," Naoto said.
"Yes it's always good to have plans for such things," Diethard said, "and ways to set them up."
"But still though with regards of Euphemia," Todoh said, "it looks as though that she seems desperate."
"Well of course she is," Rai said, "what was proposed was so unexpected."
"It was a surprise for us when Lelouch proposed it," Kallen said.
"Yeah no kidding," Naoto said.
Flashback: Last Night, Warehouse in Yokosuka
"The Special Administrative Zone," Lelouch said, "the one that was brought forth by Euphie."
"We all talked about this earlier," Naoto said, "and it's very concerning."
"Yes it really is," Lelouch said, "and either way, we lose… at least that what would be as they would see it however, I have something for this."
"I see," Todoh said, "then you have decided what to do."
"Yes and it won't be easy," Lelouch said, "but this will be for the best for not only for us but for the Japanese people who have signed up and support the zone."
"In truth, we've actually had planned this for some time," Nunnally said, "just in case some situation had come to pass."
"And that situation has occurred," Lelouch said.
"So what's the plan?" Kallen asked.
"For us to not have to actually join while at the same not being seen as being against equality," Lelouch said, "there is simply just one thing that we have to do and we have to prepare tonight to get ready for tomorrow. In a way, we can make the claim that the Black Knights gain small victory on this, although hollow really."
Most of the members got what their seventeen-year-old leader was implying.
"Fitting the purpose of the Black Knights and all that," Todoh said.
"Yes Sensei," Lelouch said with a nod, "so with that in mind and bear with me on this…"
Lelouch proposed of the Black Knights leaving Japan which of course shocked most of the other members.
"Lelouch, are you serious?" Minami asked.
"I am," Lelouch said with a sullen expression.
"You expect us to leave Japan?" Tamaki asked, "You expect us to leave our country."
"I know I'm asking a lot," Lelouch said, "but this was the best way that I could think of for our situation."
"Lelouch, you…" Kallen said with a sad expression.
"As the way things are now," Lelouch said, "it won't be possible for us to have Japan as the starting point for the revolution… not to mention with how things are. If we accept, we give up the right to bear arms and be swallowed up. If we refuse and go against it, we'll be looked at as ones against equality and be labeled as liars and hypocrites and the people we swore to protect will turn on us. We can't just destroy what we all worked so hard to achieve which is the support of the people and we can't just accept the zone… without some sort of guarantees in place that we would like to have."
"It was what we talked about as well," Yoshida said.
"I see," Lelouch said with a nod, "listen I know this is hard but look at it like this. Eventually and this is sad to say this but the Special Zone will eventually fall."
"You sound so sure about that," Keitaro said.
"I am and that's because there are those in power who can't stand change and who are even as simply as they don't like those who are they consider to be inferior to them to have any bit of rights," Lelouch said.
"When it comes to the point that trouble will occur, we'll be there to help," Nunnally said.
"Yes I can see that happening," Diethard said.
The other members spoke and they all agreed in what Lelouch and Nunnally were saying.
"We won't be able to liberate Japan as things stand now," Rai said, "however eventually selfish idiots will start trouble which will lead the zone to fall apart and Japan and all of its citizens will get caught in such a terrible situation and when that happens…"
"When that happens, we we'll move in and protect the people," Naoto said.
"Exactly," Lelouch said.
"I see," Ohgi said, "so we won't be able to free Japan now but down the road for whenever it happens the moment trouble brews and people here are threatened, the Black Knights will be there to protect them."
"Exactly," Lelouch said, "and so with that…" Lelouch bowed his head in front of everyone surprising everyone in the warehouse, "I'm sorry."
"Lelouch, what are you doing?" Naoto asked.
"Yeah why are you bowing your head to us?" Sugiyama asked.
"Even with my proposal with how to deal with the situation, it doesn't change the fact that I failed," Lelouch said as he still bowed, "I made a promise that we would free Japan but right now it would be impossible and not only that, having to actually leave Japan itself."
"Lelouch," Milly said.
"Lulu," Shirley said.
"I feel absolutely rotten about this," Lelouch said with remorse, "the fact is I'm in a way breaking my promise to all of you, to our supporters here in Japan, to the Kyoto Group, and even to General Katase and his men."
"Hang on," Tamaki said, "there's no need to do that."
"That's right," Todoh said, "Lelouch, please raise your head."
Lelouch did just that and looked at everyone.
"You have nothing to apologize for," Todoh said, "it true that things are not going as we had planned for but we still have the desire and nothing has really changed."
"Todoh's right," Diethard said, "after all we're still be making head waves with other countries and we'll be eventually freeing them from Britannian rule in the near future."
"It's true that we'll have to leave the country that most of us were born and raised and that we loved," Ohgi said, "but we know that we'll be back and we'll be there for the people. That is the purpose of the Black Knights."
"That's right it is," Naoto said with a smile.
"So please Lelouch," Kallen said, "please don't be too hard on yourself on this."
"Yeah and even though you won't be able to free Japan now," Shirley said, "you might be able to do last after freeing the other countries from Britannian occupation."
"That's a good point there Shirley," Milly said with a nod.
"Thank you," Lelouch said, "still though… I help but to just keep thinking back on Kamine Island on what Euphemia had desired and how she wanted it so badly."
"Lelouch remember, I was there with you two as well," Rai said, "You couldn't have known that this is what she had intended to do."
"No, I could have," Lelouch said.
"Lelouch, you can't expect to know what other people are thinking all the time," Rakshata said.
"It's just not possible," Alice said.
"They're right Brother," Nunnally said.
"We got your back Lelouch," Inoue said, "if you believe what the best course is for the Black Knights then we'll follow through with you."
"That is our promise we made to you as well," Urabe said.
"Indeed it is," Senba said.
"And we're sure that General Katase will understand that as well," Asahina said.
"Along with the Kyoto Group," Chiba said, "they trust you just as much as we do."
Lelouch looked around seeing everyone smiled and in agreement and Lelouch felt grateful.
"Thank you," Lelouch said, "all of you."
Flashback End
"We just have to do what we can," Kallen said.
"And we will," Naoto said.
In the mobile base, Diethard and Rakshata were being contacted.
"Aoyama?" Diethard asked.
"Yeah it's me," Keitaro said as he appeared on the screen, "we got them."
"Okay," Rakshata said with a nod as she smoked her pipe, "Your move Diethard."
"Indeed," Diethard said as he went to his laptop and quickly pushed buttons.
G-1 Mobile Base
Euphie with meeting with Lelouch and Nunnally and Lelouch turned off all the power in the G1 and he and Nunnally took off their masks.
"Even though the cameras are off, you're still being extremely careful, aren't you?" Euphie asked.
"We have been in hiding for a long time due to a certain empire I'm afraid," Lelouch said.
"Although we do see that it's paranoia on our part," Nunnally said.
"I see," Euphie said, "so now that it's just the three of us," Euphie closed her eyes and then opened them and looked at her siblings, "Lelouch and Nunnally, why are you doing this?"
"…You're going to have to be specific Euphie," Lelouch replied.
Euphie had her head down and clenched her fist.
"I don't understand," Euphie said, "the Special Administrative Zone is going to help people and the Japanese will be able to have rights again. I admit that the area is too small but even so," Euphie looked at her siblings in sadness, "why won't be help me? Why do you want to actually leave Japan?"
"Euphie," Nunnally said.
"What is it?" Euphie asked, "Is it… do you actually resent what I've done? Do you not have faith in the zone?"
"Euphie," Lelouch said.
"Please tell me the truth," Euphie pleaded, "don't sugarcoat it. Be honest with me."
Lelouch and Nunnally looked at each other and sighed and then turned back to Euphie.
"Okay Euphie," Lelouch said, "you want us to be honest with you? Fine, here's the truth. You're Special Administrative Zone… it won't truly help the Japanese as you hope it would."
"What do you mean?" Euphie asked.
"I really didn't want to tell you," Lelouch said with a frown, "we should have just said our piece and just left but here we are."
"Well I'm guilty in that regard as well," Nunnally said.
"Here's the thing about this Euphie," Lelouch said as he put up one finger, "First off, the Special Zone is essentially creating a 3rd class in a land where the current class tensions are a cause of conflict. Many Britannians would see the Japanese in the Special Zone as beggars living off the kindness of a princess, while the Japanese who are not part of it and are still discriminated against would look at the SAZ with envy that will turn into hatred," Lelouch put up a second finger, "Second, as you just admitted that the land for the Special Zone is limited. Even though to say 'around Mt Fuji' suggests a lot of land and if the possibility of more people coming around and decide to take part of it, there isn't enough for all of the Japanese in Japan to live there. Even then, how many people could the utilities support? Even if you built up the housing you can only have so many before you have issues of sanitation and disease from an overtaxed system. And in regards if more Japanese would want to live in the Special Zone than can actually be supported, you eventually run into a situation where you start telling people, 'sorry but there's no room, you'll have to return to the ghettos'."
Euphie was shocked at the things that Lelouch was pointing out.
"Here's the third thing," Nunnally said as she and Lelouch held up three fingers, "what happens when the people living in the Special Zone decide they want to leave the zone? Do they lose their rights as Japanese as soon as they cross the boundary or do they have to wear some identifying symbol to show that they are Japanese and not 'Eleven'?"
"Um well…" Euphie spoke.
Lelouch sighed sadly, "You don't have an answer to that," Lelouch then held up four fingers, "the fourth, the Special Zone is at best a bandage that covers a small portion of the problem but doesn't really fix it."
"It doesn't…?" Euphie replied sadly.
"Sure it could be said that the Special Zone would allow Japanese and Britannians to meet each other on equal footing, get to know one another, and over time let a mutual understanding heal the wounds and ease the tension," Nunnally said, "that's a wonderful thing but unfortunately in the meantime you have the majority of the Japanese still living under discrimination, and most Britannians that has little reason to challenge the government approved status quo that encourages the discrimination. The latter will have a lot more influence on the future than the former."
Euphie was shocked as she stepped back and had her head down.
"I'm sorry Euphie," Lelouch said, "but that's the reality of this."
Euphie just had her down and was silent and this actually caused Lelouch and Nunnally to be concern.
"Euphie?" Nunnally asked.
"I'm so stupid," Euphie said upset.
"Euphie?" Lelouch asked.
"I can't believe that I didn't take in the accounts of all of this," Euphie said, "I was so focused with getting the Special Zone to stand and take place that I didn't take in nor think about the serious factors that you two had just pointed out."
"Euphie," Lelouch said.
"But now I understand," Euphie said.
"Understand what?" Nunnally asked.
Chinese Federation
In a room with a desk, Schneizel who was sitting in the desk and Kanon who was standing next to him were discussing things with Jarvis who appeared on a small monitor on the desk.
"Right, I reached an agreement with the Chinese Federation," Schneizel said as he was pleased, "therefore we should be returning to the Homeland today."
"I see," Jarvis said, "do you intend to keep the experimental subjects in Area 11?"
"Yes," Schneizel said with a nod, "and with that in mind how good and intelligent are they?"
"Well according to Bartley and the research team, they seem to be functioning okay but they are limited here in Area 11," Jarvis said.
"I see," Schneizel replied, "we should ask the Rosenberg Institute then. In that case then I'll arrange it with them so that you can send the subjects to them. Make sure you inform Bartley of this."
"Very well," Jarvis said, "I'll let him know and one more thing Your Highness, what about the ruins on Kamine Island?"
"We have to wait to do anything until the stability in Area 11 is secured," Schneizel said and then he smiled, "we can thank the Special Administrative Zone for that and thank Euphemia for it. Everything is working out just perfectly."
"Yes well about that—" Jarvis spoke.
Someone suddenly showed up on the screen and it was Bartley who appeared to be in a panic.
"Bartley, what is it?" Jarvis asked, "Why are you panting like crazy?"
"Hmm, is something wrong?" Schneizel asked as he and Kanon got concern.
"Sir Trenton," Bartley said, "Your Highness, we have a serious problem."
"A serious problem?" Schneizel asked.
"What's wrong?" Kanon asked.
"It's Colonel Madd," Bartley said.
"Madd?" Kanon asked.
"What about him?" Schneizel asked.
"He took the experimental subjects," Bartley informed.
"He did what?" Schneizel replied surprised.
Jarvis and Kanon were surprised as well.
"And that's not all," Bartley said with dread in his tone, "it's the fact of where he's headed with them."
"And where would that be Bartley?" Kanon asked.
"The thing is that he's on his way," Bartley said, "to the Inaugural Ceremony of the Special Administrative Zone and he intends to use them… to cause a massacre there."
Schneizel, Kanon, and Jarvis were shocked to hear this.
"Bartley, are you absolutely certain about this?" Schneizel asked.
"Unfortunately I am," Bartley replied upset, "The research team can verify it."
"That fool," Kanon said upset, "if he goes through with this…"
"Euphie may likely get caught in the crossfire," Schneizel said upset as he clenched his fists, "not only that…"
Kanon clenched his teeth and looked at Jarvis.
"Sir Trenton, I hope you know that you're to blame for this," Kanon said, "by allowing him to work with the project instead of putting him in a cell."
"Hey I'm not happy about this," Jarvis responded strongly, "I really get it. It seems that Madd doesn't give a damn that he's blatantly disobeying orders even when he was warmed of what would happen if he went out of line."
"Do you really think that's going to cut it Knight of Two?" Kanon replied.
"Kanon, we should not be indulging in the blame game," Schneizel said, "The important thing to do right now is stopping Madd. If he goes through with it, it will also be known to the people and it will reflect badly on us. I need to contact Marrybell and let her know what's happening."
"Yes Your Highness," Bartley said, "and I'll get right on to take action immediately."
"Whatever it takes, we can't allow Madd to start a massacre," Kanon said, "especially with the use of the experimental subjects."
A Lab within Area 11
Standing by a table with a monitor, Jarvis was angry with what happening and slammed his fist on a table.
"If had my guess," Jarvis said in his head, "I would say that VV may have a hand in this," Jarvis clenched his fists, "He's starting to get desperate just like that stupid stunt he pulled. Of course, it's a possibility that Prince Castor and Prince Pollux are part of this as well," Jarvis clenched his teeth, "Narrow minded and short sighted fools."
Stadium near Mt. Fuji
The people within the stadium were all talking about what Zero and Void had decided which of course surprised everyone in the stadium. The Leaders of Kyoto were speaking to each other in low tone and still had faith that Lelouch and Nunnally would pull through. Nonette was irritated with what was going on.
"I can't believe this," Nonette said softly, "they're actually serious about this."
"It seems so," Darlton said.
Darlton looked over to the Leaders of Kyoto and saw that they were smiling.
"You seem pleased about this," Darlton said.
The Kyoto Leaders looked at each other and then back to Darlton.
"We're just amazed and impressed," Munataka said.
"Yes indeed," Osakabe said, "we're impressed that that the Black Knights are this caring about the zone."
"Indeed," Kubouin said, "after all, it shows that what's going on does not change things for them."
"Of course you people would be happy about this," Nonette said as she was annoyed.
Nonette clicked her tongue and then she looked at the Gawain, stood up from her chair, and walked over to the Knightmare.
"Lady Enneagram?" Suzaku spoke.
"Kururugi, come over, will you?" Nonette said.
"Uh okay," Suzaku said as he went to Nonette, "What is it Lady Enneagram?"
"Kururugi, can I ask you something?" Nonette asked.
"Sure, what is it?" Suzaku replied.
"Are you really okay with this?" Nonette asked, "About the Black Knights leaving after everything they've done."
"Um well…" Suzaku replied, "If I can give my opinion on this, if it's to assure that they would be no problem for the Special Zone, then it would be the best. I admit it's not what it might be the best. I don't like the idea of the Black Knights, of Zero and Void just leaving after all the trouble and crimes they committed but if it's for the sake of stability here and peace can be brought back here, then I can agree with it. After all, in the end that it what I want as well if I speak my desire about it, for the fighting to end and people to stop killing each other."
Nonette sighed, "I still say that they're just spitting on the kindness of Euphie."
"It may be how it's seen but I think it's for the best," Suzaku said, "I don't want Her Highness to suffer because of Zero and Void and as her knight, I want to do whatever it takes to support and protect her."
Nonette frowned and then she looked at the Gawain.
"Hey you in the Gawain," Nonette said, "how about you come out of there?"
There was a silence and Nonette frowned.
"Come on," Nonette said, "get out here!"
In the cockpit of the Gawain, Shirley and Milly raised their eyebrows.
"Is she seriously calling us out?" Shirley asked.
"Just ignore her," Milly said, "you know it's not a good idea to come out."
"I know but why does the Knight of Nine want us to just come out?" Shirley asked.
"I'm not sure," Milly said, "I can never understand the thinking of the Knight of Nine."
"Hey, come on out," Nonette called out, "I promise I won't hurt you. I just want to know who you are in the cockpit. You have nothing to fear, not here."
"No way," Shirley said, "we have no reason to believe her."
"No we don't," Milly said, "and I'm sure you can tell as well."
"About what?" Shirley asked.
"That Nonette Enneagram is actually bitter about this," Milly said.
"Bitter?" Shirley asked.
"Yes," Milly said, "Special Zone was to be a no-win situation for the Black Knights, for Lelouch and Nunnally but Lelouch came up with the way around it so that it we would not have to be part of the zone and not being shown against it as well."
"Oh right," Shirley said, "Nonette knows about Lulu and Nunna."
"Yeah and she's been trying to convince them to come back to the empire," Milly shook her head, "even though it would mean a death sentence to them or to be used as tools again if they did go and faced their father the emperor."
G-1 Mobile Base
Euphie had her head down and placed her hands on the console.
"I put in a lot of effort in order to make this a reality," Euphie said, "I even went as far as to give up my claim to the throne."
Lelouch and Nunnally were surprised in what they heard.
"Wait, you did what?" Nunnally asked.
Euphie turned around and faced her siblings.
"There will probably be an announcement about it any day now," Euphie said, "but I have giving up my claim to the throne."
"But for you to go that far," Lelouch said.
"Yes of course," Euphie said with a shrug, "after all, it's the price to pay to actually do this and not only that… it had to do what you told me Nunnally."
"Me?" Nunnally asked.
"Yes you told me back in Ashford Academy," Euphie said with a smile, "'All I want is to be with my brother'."
"So for that reason…" Lelouch said.
"That's right," Euphie said with a nod and smile, "for that reason I made up my mind about it."
"I see," Lelouch said.
"It made me stop and seriously reflect on what is truly important," Euphie said, "the way I see it, I'm not really giving up on something that has true value," Euphie then had a sad expression, "That is my way of thinking for this whole thing… but you two…well it now changes perspective to me."
"Euphie…" Nunnally said.
"If I had known that this was how things were going to be," Euphie said, "if I had known that this was how you were going to respond…"
Lelouch and Nunnally were silent and they looked at each other and then their sister.
"Is there no way that I can convince you two to stay and help me with the zone?" Euphie sadly asked.
Nunnally and Lelouch responded by shaking their heads as indication that there was none.
"I see," Euphie said sadly.
"This is a very delicate thing," Lelouch said, "but with us not being here, the zone can start with no trouble due to our presence."
"Even though you believe that it will still fail eventually," Euphie said.
"Well…" Lelouch spoke.
"Then I'll just make sure that it never happens," Euphie said determined, "I decided to have this happen therefore it's my responsibility to see it through and make sure it doesn't fail and I know that it's a long shot and that it's most likely impossible but even so if there's even a small chance that I have make sure that it succeeds."
"You're that determined to see it through," Lelouch said.
"I am," Euphie said, "so while it pains me that you two won't help me, I understand why you two are doing this just please can I make a request of you two?"
"What is it?" Nunnally asked.
"Please come and visit," Euphie said.
"To visit…" Lelouch said.
"Yes, I don't know where you plan to go but please if you two can," Euphie said, "come and visit from time to time," Euphie smiled, "just as siblings… just like before."
Before Lelouch said anything, there were two beeps that were going off. The beeps came from Lelouch and Nunnally's masks.
"What's that?" Euphie asked.
Lelouch and Nunnally went to their masks and picked up something from within and they placed them on their ears.
"Pardon us Euphie," Nunnally said to Euphie.
"It's us," Lelouch said.
Lelouch and Nunnally were speaking to two people from the other line and they narrowed their eyes.
"Understood," Nunnally said, "we'll be outside."
Lelouch and Nunnally put their ear pieces back in their masks.
"Lelouch and Nunnally, what's going on?" Euphie asked with worry.
"Euphie, come with us," Nunnally said, "we need to get back out."
"Back out?" Euphie asked.
Back outside with the stadium, there was static sounds that was occurring and people were wondering what was going on. Nonette and Darlton stood up from their chairs and looked around.
"What's going on?" Nonette asked.
"I don't know," Darlton asked.
"Is something happening?" Suzaku asked.
Meanwhile there was someone within the stadium was able to sneak through without anyone noticing and it was Pollux. Pollux looked around and wondered what was going on. Within the audience there was someone wearing a cap and sunglasses and wore a sweater and slacks and it was Castor who also wondered what was going on. The four huge screens that had surrounded the stadium were on and static was showed. The next thing they showed images of the highway a large pickup truck. People were confused and wondered what was going on.
"What is this?" Madd asked and then got out of the truck and looked at Jinta, "You… I know you. You're… Jinta Kuromaki. Ha, so what? Are you part of the Black Knights?"
The broadcast was going live and it was a shock in what people were seeing. Castor and Pollux were mortified in what they seeing and wondered what was going on.
"No, this isn't supposed to be seen," Castor said upset in his head.
"Who is doing that damn recording?" Pollux asked in his head upset, "Wait, could it be?"
"Yes I am in fact," Jinta said, "I could already tell how you know about me," Jinta then turned to the van and nodded and then back to Madd, "Look, it has come to our intention that you, Reginald Madd is attempting to, how do I put it?" Jinta glared at Madd, "Head in to the inaugural ceremony of the Special Administrative Zone with the intention to cause a massacre there and with the intention to either frame Zero and Void or Euphemia or possibly all three of them. But here's the thing, we won't let that happened."
Madd was surprised, "How did you know about my intent?"
"Oh so you actually admit it?" Jinta replied, "Damn, didn't think you would actually admit it."
Madd was taken aback and then sighed, "Oh well," Madd smiled, "Look just do yourselves a favor and get out of my way."
"No, no, no," Jinta said shaking his head, "that's not how it's going to go down and seriously, what makes you think that we would just do what you tell us to do?"
"You know that I know about you," Madd said, "but don't think that even with what you are it will prevent you from being taken down by me. I have my ways. Now if you don't get out of my way, I'll use my tools on you fools here first."
"You're welcome to try," Jinta said with a dark expression.
"Oh you're going to regret that," Madd said and then he stepped back a bit and banged on the side of the truck, "Come on out! We have some idiots that need to die!"
The back of the container of the pickup truck opened and there were footsteps. Jinta saw what was going on and narrowed his eyes.
"I see," Jinta said, "so that's what was going on," Jinta turned back to the van, "Got it?"
The camera did a slight nod and then Jinta turned back to the front and it was shown of the Kewell and the other disgraced members of the Purist Faction and saw they had been physically changed.
"So you have soldiers who were made up as the Purist Faction as cyborgs and I take it that you made them this way from that Code-R Project," Jinta said.
"Heh, very perspective," Madd said with grin, "well you're correct and it too bad for you fools of the Black Knights. You see we've been able to continue with the project and they are the fruits of our labor. I suppose I do have Prince Schneizel to thank for it."
"The Second Prince of Britannia?" Jinta asked, "Why him?"
"That's right, after all he took charge of the project along with Jarvis Trenton," Madd said.
"Really, Jarvis Trenton?" Jinta asked, "Would he happen to be the Knight of Two? The one known as the Bloodhound of Britannia."
"Yeah that's right," Madd said, "You'll have the honor of being the first to be killed by them and then it's on to the ceremony taking place for this joke of the Special Zone."
"You're serious of intentionally causing a massacre there," Jinta said.
"You already know the answer," Madd said with a sadistic grin, "after all with all the Elevens there in one place and broadcasted all over the world, it will teach a very powerful lesson and not do things that are not the norm for Britannia. Not only that, that pathetic naïve girl Euphemia li Britannia will die in the process. This shall go like this," Madd then grinned again, "Euphemia is blamed for the massacre as she ordered it for it to happen. She'll lose credibility and lose her status. She may even end up being known as the Massacre Princess," Madd laughed, "oh how interesting that would be. Given that she disgustingly good-natured and not prejudice towards non-Britannians, her reputation will be destroyed and people will associate with her as a mass murderer. It's fitting for her and that what she'll get for trying to get in my way."
"You're a sick man," Jinta said, "and you actually think that we the Black Knight will allow it. Do you really think that Zero and Void would let it happen?"
"They'll die as well in the process," Madd said, "and if not, they'll just turn on Euphemia and will kill her out of vengeance," Madd laughed sadistically, "Ah look on their faces and look of the faces of despair."
"Like I said," Jinta said, "you're a sick man."
"Like I give a damn what you think," Madd replied, "it's time for you idiots to die," Madd turned to Kewell, "men go ahead and kill them. We need to get to the ceremony and have our massacre."
"With pleasure," Kewell said, "finally we'll have our revenge!"
"Well stop this sham known as the Special Zone," One of the soldiers said, "and we'll finally get revenge for the humiliations they inflicted on us."
Chinese Federation
In a room with a desk and a monitor, Schneizel and Kanon were shocked in what they were seeing in the broadcast.
"Your Highness," Kanon said.
Schneizel was wide eyed and he was livid as he clenched his fists.
"How dare he…" Schneizel said upset.
Stadium near Mt. Fuji, Area 11
The people in the stadium were shocked in what they saw and heard from the broadcast and Euphie was shocked as well as she along with Zero and Void were outside and watched the whole thing.
"This is…" Euphie said.
"We knew there would be trouble," Zero said.
"Yes but for the extent of it," Void said.
Euphie looked on and she was horrified to hear what Madd had planned for.
That's it for this chapter. Next chapter: The conclusion of the Inaugural Ceremony of the Special Administrative Zone with serious responses and the next stage takes place for the Black Knights.
